Over the weekend following his arraignment in a criminal case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith, Donald Trump began to

threaten at least one witness, not just any witness. It's former Vice President Mike Pence. And by all accounts, this appears to be a violation of the terms of Donald Trump's release, where under oath during Trump's arraignment, Trump swore that he would not attempt to influence or intimidate any witnesses or retaliate against anyone or in any way attempt to obstruct the administration of justice. But a quick summary is that during the arraignment, the magistrate judge, Apadayaya, she stated to Donald Trump, are you prepared to comply with these terms that you won't attempt to influence, intimidate, retaliate against any witness?

Donald Trump then responded, yes. The magistrate judge then told Trump that should he violate the conditions of his release, she would consider sending him to jail pending trial immediately. The magistrate judge then stated, quote, you have heard your conditions of release. It is important you comply. You may be held pending trial in this case if you violate the conditions of your release. And here's what Donald Trump posted on his social media, attacking, retaliating against, intimidating former Vice President Pence, who is clearly a witness in this matter. Pull up the post. Trump wrote on Saturday, quote, wow, it's finally

happened. Little Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as governor Indiana until I came along and made him VP, has gone to the dark side. I never told a newly emboldened and not based on his 2% poll numbers pence to put me above the Constitution. Or that Mike was, quote, too honest. He's delusional, and now he wants to show he's a tough guy. I once read a major magazine article on Mike. It said he was not a very good person. I was surprised, but the article was right. Sad. And to be very clear here, former Vice President Pence is a witness. If you were to think about this case as, let's just say, a mob or mafia trial, right? And you had these conditions placed on the mob boss, and the mob boss started making statements in public saying these things

about one of the witnesses, well, that person would be immediately remanded into custody. And what is Donald Trump referring to here as well? Why is he so ticked off at former Vice President Pence that he is engaging in these threats, which, again, I think I read for you the terms of his release. I think it's a clear violation. And I'll talk about one of my other theories in a moment that I think Donald Trump wants to be arrested. I think he wants to try to be a MAGA martyr like Adolf Hitler was.

And that's, I think, a playbook that he's actually trying to follow here. He knows he's got a law and order, no nonsense prosecutor and a law and order, no nonsense judge in federal judge Chutkin. And I think he just wants to try to blow it all up, blow the system up, I think is what he's going for. This is what former Vice President Pence said the other day where he talked about, look, it wasn't that Trump was asking me to just do a pause of the count of the electoral vote. He wanted me to basically overthrow the results of the Electoral College. Here, play this clip.

I was clear on that throughout. I was clear with President Trump throughout all the way up to the morning of January 6th. But let's be clear on this point. It wasn't just that they asked for a pause. The president specifically asked me and his gaggle of crackpot lawyers asked me to literally reject votes, which would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the House of Representatives and literally chaos would have ensued. So Martha, I just thought people people can read the indictment.

And frankly, I've said before, I had hoped it had not come to this point. You know, I don't know if the government can meet the standard, the burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt for criminal charges. But the American people deserve to know that President Trump and his advisors didn't just ask me to pause. They asked me to reject votes, return votes, essentially to overturn the election. And to keep faith with the oath that I made to the American people and to Almighty God. I rejected that out of hand and I did my duty that day. Here is another clip of former Vice President Pence saying that anyone like Trump who puts themselves above the Constitution shouldn't

be in office. Play this clip. I want the American people to know that I had no right to overturn the election. And then on that day, President Trump asked me to put him over the Constitution, but I chose the Constitution, and I always will. And I really do believe that anyone who puts themselves over the Constitution should never be President of the United States. And anyone who asks someone else to put themselves over the Constitution should never be President of the United States again. Okay. Then when you go into the indictment brought by special counsel Jack Smith, specifically paragraph 90 sub C, there's actually a lot of allegations that come from the testimony of former vice president Pence. But let's go to C just so

you can see what Donald Trump is also referring to. This is what was stated. And by the way, Pence went before the grand jury. So this is likely testimony what was stated. By the way, there's probably other individuals in the room when Pence was told this who can corroborate what Pence said as well. But this testimony probably comes from Pence directly. On January 1, the defendant, Donald Trump, called the vice president and berated him because he had learned that the vice president had opposed a lawsuit seeking a judicial decision that at the certification, the vice president had the authority to reject or return votes to the states under the constitution. The vice president responded that he thought there was no constitutional basis for such authority and that it was improper. In response, the defendant, Donald Trump, told the vice president, quote, you're too honest. Within hours of the conversation, the defendant, Trump, reminded his supporters to meet in Washington

before the certification proceeding, tweeting, quote, the big protest rally in Washington, D.C. will take place at 11 a.m. on January 6th. Locational details to follow. Stop the steal. By the way, the social media post that Donald Trump just made looks an awful lot like the post Trump made on January 6th, 2021, where he said, Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our country and our constitution, giving states a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth. Again, that was a post by Donald Trump on January 6th, 2021. But the threats of Donald Trump against Pence, it's not speculative of do they result in actual violence and attacks on Pence.

Obviously, on January 6th, the Trump supporters wanted to hang Mike Pence. They brought the tools to go about doing that. And by the way, this happened yesterday where a dozen Trump supporters approached Pence's vehicle as he entered a Friday event yelling, traitor, that's the traitor, you're a traitor, sell out. And then Pence saying, I upheld the Constitution. Here, play this clip. And this isn't the only threat that Donald Trump has made in the past 48, 72 hours or so. Donald Trump also made a threat that special counsel Jack Smith immediately brought to the attention of the court. On Friday, Trump made this threat on his social media.

If you go after me, I'm coming after you, exclamation point. Special counsel Jack Smith immediately made a filing, bringing this to the court's attention in connection with a protective order motion. And then Trump's spokesperson, because of the kind of stochastic terrorism gaslighting that they engage in, put this post out. Quote, the truth post cited is the definition of political speech and was in response to the rhino, China-loving, dishonest, special interest groups, and super PACs like the ones funded by the Koch brothers and the club for no growth. That was a statement issued by Donald Trump's spokesperson.

Folks, so there you have it. You're in a situation right now where we're going to watch to see what special counsel Jack Smith does here. And I think, you know, Ron Filipkowski said it best.
