Starting point is 00:00:42 A future resources company. We'll be right back. So Michael Cohen is under cross-examination at Donald Trump's criminal trial, and Donald Trump apparently is just passing out or falling asleep during this cross-examination. Also, this occurred during the direct examination. Here's how Harry Littman, as part of the Midas Touch Network, he's in the courtroom right now. Here's what he described happening. Trump looks out, eyes closed, drooping mouth. Just to get another perspective, here's a reporter, Erica Orden. Here's what she describes. With Todd Blanch, Donald Trump's lawyer, several minutes into his cross-examination of Michael Cohen. Donald Trump is slouched in his seat,
Starting point is 00:02:26 his eyes seemingly closed, and his mouth slack. Ben Kochman, who writes for the New York Post, a Rupert Murdoch paper, so just so we're getting multiple perspectives here, this is how he describes it. Trump has been slouched at the defense table yet again with his eyes closed, this time for more than 15 minutes, to which Adam Klassfeld, who's also in the courtroom, again, giving you multiple perspectives here.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Adam Klassfeld, the reporter who's in the courthouse, says, quite a split screen going on between this and Cohen's maintained eye contact with jurors now in a lengthy monologue about his location monitoring for an ankle bracelet in connection with his sentencing. Katie Fang, another reporter who is in the courthouse, described the cross examination by Donald Trump's lawyer Todd Todd Blanche, to Michael Cohen. The Midas Touch Network was mentioned numerous times so far during the cross-examination where Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche, tried to make it seem
Starting point is 00:03:36 that the Midas Touch merch store at store.midastouch.com is actually Michael Cohen's merch store. And Michael Cohen said, that's not my merch store. That's the Midas Touch merch store. And so where Midas Touch sells merch like Convict or Convict 45 or a bunch of other merch that Trump's lawyers apparently didn't do their homework or were just trying to mislead Michael Cohen to make it seem like the Midas Touch merch store was his merch store. And Michael Cohen was like, that's not the case. But this is how the cross-examination by
Starting point is 00:04:10 Donald Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche, started of Michael Cohen. Todd Blanche said, Mr. Cohen, my name is Todd Blanche, and you and I have never met. You went on TikTok, Mr. Cohen, and called me a crying little shit. And then Michael Cohen says, that sounds like something I would say. The prosecutors then said, objection, and the court sustained the objection. Todd Blanch then asked whether Michael Cohen referred to Donald Trump as a, quote, dictator douchebag. And Cohen responded, it sounds like something I said.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Cohen agrees with Todd Blanch that he also said Donald Trump belongs in an effing cage like an animal. Now, the judge, Justice Mershon, criticized Todd Blanch at a bench conference for an improper cross-examination, asking Cohen about Cohen recently criticizing him as the lawyer and Susan Necklace, Donald Trump's other lawyer. There were a lot of objections by the prosecution, all sustained, and a lot of these questions or two of the questions were stricken. As Norm Eisen, who's also in the courthouse. Again, we're giving you lots of perspectives of people in the courthouses, sources who go on the record,
Starting point is 00:05:30 sources who are on background, also sharing with us what's happening in the courtroom. And as Norm Eisen says, these answers from Cohen on cross-examination are just highlighting bad evidence against Donald Trump, a very poor opening sequence of questioning by Donald Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche. Then Blanche turns to Michael Cohen's podcast, Mea Culpa. Here's the question that Cohen was asked. Of those more than 200 episodes, would you agree, Mr. Cohen, that you have talked about Donald Trump in every single one? Cohen responds, I would say he's mentioned in every one. Cohen's answering the questions calmly, directly.
Starting point is 00:06:13 He's not taking the bait from Donald Trump's lawyers as of now. And again, our multiple sources in the courtroom are confirming that right now the cross-exam is ineffective on Michael Cohen and Cohen is handling it very well. Here's another question from Trump's lawyer to Cohen. Question, so you've also talked extensively on mea culpa about your desire that Donald Trump be convicted in this case. Cohen's response, it sounds like something I would say. Then when pressed by Todd Blanch, he says, probably. And then Todd Blanch says, you have any doubt something I would say. Then when pressed by Todd Blanch, he says, probably. And then Todd Blanch says, you have any doubt that you would say it? Cohen responds that he doesn't know whether he said those specific words, but he expressed the sentiment that he wanted to see accountability. Todd Blanch, Donald Trump's lawyer, then turns to Michael Cohen's
Starting point is 00:07:02 merchandising, but actually it wasn't Cohen's merchandising. It was store.midastouch.com. It was our merchandising, not his. And Adam Klasfeld says that Todd Blanch, Trump's lawyer, went, so there's an image of Donald Trump in an orange jumpsuit, and here's a Convict 45 t-shirt, and here's a mug that says, send him to the big house, not the White House. Michael Cohen says that he wore the Trump in an orange jumpsuit merch last week,
Starting point is 00:07:32 that this is the Midas Touch merch store, not his own merch store. Have you heard that the flavored air category is quickly becoming the leading alternative to vaping and smoking? It's a whole new movement towards better habits led by the sponsor of this video, Fume. Fume is an award-winning flavored air device. Flavored air isn't like vaping. If vapor was compared to sticky soda, Fume cores are closer to herbal teas. Fume has lots of delicious flavors to choose from like crisp mint and orange vanilla. With flavored air, you can satisfy your oral fixation through a passive diffusion system that utilizes no electronics, vapor, or combustion. Fume draws flavor to your mouth. Fume fills the void. Ditching a bad habit can leave. You still have something to reach for. Fume is not a vape. There's no vapor and you could use it anywhere. There's no nicotine. It's not addictive. The

It looks awesome, and you can truly feel the weighted high-quality design. One of the things about Fume is that it's made to fidget with, and it calms anxiety with magnets, steps, and clicks. Fume continuously invests in third-party studies to ensure the safety of their products. Fume is also backed by doctors in the United States. My favorite Fume flavor is backed by doctors in the United States. My favorite Fume flavor is crisp mint. It is honestly delicious,

Then Todd Blanche rattles off the fact that in 2015, Michael Cohen praised Donald Trump when he worked for him. Cohen says,
Starting point is 00:09:26 at the time, yes, I said these things. I was knee deep into the cult of Donald Trump back then. Cohen agrees, though, that he wasn't lying about Donald Trump when he gave congressional testimony where he said that he admired Donald Trump at the time he lied to Congress. Cohen agrees that he said at the time there was no money in the world, right around 2016, 2017, when he was still working for Donald Trump. Cohen agrees that he once told a magazine that there was no money in the world that would get him to write a book about Donald Trump. Then turning to Cohen's congressional testimony on October 2017, Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanch, asks whether Cohen was lying about saying he was happy to serve Trump, and Cohen says that it was true
Starting point is 00:10:14 when he said it out over then. Here's what Todd Blanch then showed Michael Cohen, so you can see for yourself. Blanch turns to the Trump-themed merchandise sold on Cohen's podcast site, except it's actually not Cohen's podcast site. It's the Midas Touch Network site, and Cohen doesn't sell this. The shirt says Convict 45. That is our shirt. There was then a correction by Tyler McBrien, who's one of the reporters in the courthouse who made it clear that Cohen did say that this is the Midas Touch merch store,
Starting point is 00:10:48 even though Todd Blanch was trying to portray it as the mea culpa Cohen specific store. And Tyler McBrien, the reporter, issued a retraction and apology to us. And we said, this is not a mea culpa merch store. It is the Midas Touch merch store and not in any way run by Michael Cohen. That being said, you can all buy these items here, store.midastouch.com. And Tyler McBride in his reporting says, we see a couple of choice items from the Mayakolpa merch store,
Starting point is 00:11:16 $32 t-shirt with a picture of Trump in an orange jumpsuit behind bars, a t-shirt that says convict 45, also $32, a $22 coffee mug with the words, send him to the big house, not to the white house. And again, that's our merch right there. Andrew Giuliani, who's in the courtroom, says the media is giggling at the white t-shirt of Trump in jail and the send him to the big house, not the White House coffee mug. And again, while this is happening, as Harry Littman reports, Trump looks out, eyes closed, drooping mouth, blanched several minutes into the cross. Trump slouched in his seat, his eyes seemingly closed and his mouth slack. And then others saying that he is falling asleep with his head tilted on his shoulder
Starting point is 00:12:03 while all of this is taking place. And then I do want to mention briefly what happened on the direct examination when Cohen described his home and office being raided by the FBI, where his phones, electronic devices, and documents were seized. He said that he was worried, scared, and angry.
Starting point is 00:12:23 The search warrant resulted from an investigation by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Trump called right after the raid and told Cohen, Don't worry, I'm the President of the United States. Everything's going to be okay. Stay tough. Cohen said that was the last conversation he had with Trump, and he decided to remain loyal because he believed Trump would make it go away. The prosecution then introduced a tweet posted by Trump the same day, which Cohen interpreted as a message to him that as long as he stayed loyal, Trump would take care of it. the New York Times and a third-rate reporter named Maggie Haberman, known as Crooked H. Flunky, who I don't speak to and have nothing to do with, are going out of their way to destroy Michael Cohen and his relationship with me in hope that he will flip. They use non-existent sources and a drunk, drugged-up loser who hates Michael, a fine person with a wonderful family.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Michael is a businessman for his own account lawyer, who I've always liked and respected. Most people will flip if the government lets them out of trouble, even if it means lying or making up stories. Sorry, I don't see Michael doing it. That despite the horrible witch hunt and the dishonest media, Cohen said, although he never spoke to Trump again, his surrogates continued to reach out to him to assure him that everything was going to be fine. The Trump org was continuing to pay Cohen's legal fees, which he interpreted as a positive sign that they were still behind him, as long as he stuck to the story that Trump had no involvement with the hush money scheme. Attorney Robert Costello, who was close to Rudy Giuliani and said he could back channel info to Trump that way,
Starting point is 00:14:06 then sent Cohen an email where he told Cohen that he was, quote, loved and had friends in high places who were in your corner. A copy of that email was shown to the jury. Costello offered to represent him on any criminal matters from that point forward, but Cohen was concerned that there could be a conflict of interest and he didn't want everything he said to his own lawyer to be relayed to Rudy and Trump. Cohen then received an email from Costello on June 13th, 2018, which continued to read like this crew operated like a mafia family. My friend Rudy communicated to me that he is meeting with his client Trump this evening and added that if there was anything you wanted to convey, you should tell me, any of my friends, and we will bring it up in the discussion with them. Cohen said that Costello was continuing to pressure him because he wanted Cohen to retain
Starting point is 00:14:53 him as a lawyer so he can control him. Finally, Cohen told him that he had been speaking with a different counsel and Costello got very angry and said, you're making a very big mistake if you believe these stories. These journalists are writing about you. They want you to cave. They want you to fail. They don't want you to persevere and succeed. So look, Cohen's been handling this great so far.
