Speaker, good to have you this morning. Thank you, sir. Let's talk about the MAGA Republican Civil War and the Republican Civil War in general. I'm Ben Micellis. This is the Midas Touch Network. You heard right there from the former spineless MAGA Republican Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, stating now that George Santos has been expelled. as the ethics complaint against Matt Gaetz for engaging in alleged sexual abuse and other malfeasance is working its way through the ethics committee the same way a complaint

did against George Santos. Now, others in the MAGA Republican camp are saying the expulsion of George Santos has all of the fingerprints of Kevin McCarthy orchestrating that to try to undermine the new Republican Speaker of the House, MAGA Mike Johnson, and try to take down other MAGA Republicans as revenge for taking down Kevin McCarthy as the Speaker of the House. This is articulated, if you want to call it that, by Steve Bannon, MAGA Republican influencer and someone who was convicted in federal court for disobeying a subpoena from Congress. Here, Bannon talks about how this is McCarthy's effort to screw MAGA, to screw MAGA Mike Johnson by seeking to expel George Santos. Play the clip. Under Clause 5D of Rule 20, the chair announces to the House that in light of the expulsion of the gentleman from New York, Mr. Santos, the whole number of the House is now 434. Okay, this entire operation was a Kevin McCarthy, because I think McCarthy's going to leave on the 10th. This is McCarthy to screw MAGA. This is a thing to jam up

Mike Johnson. And look, hey, he's kind of MAGA Mike now, right? This is 100% McCarthy and his acolytes trying to make our job even tougher and even take away the majority. I think of Johnson of Ohio. I think it's Johnson of Ohio and McCarthy punch out. I'm not even sure we get a majority or maybe a one vote majority. This is 1000% Kevin McCarthy. This is the Fox News, everything. This is the apparatus saying we're going to shut down the ability to make massive cuts.

We're going to shut down your ability to stop the defunding of Ukraine. We're going to stop your ability to have offsets for the Israeli aid. We're going to stop anything you really want to do on the border. So this is now, they want a civil war, they got one. And here Matt Gaetz seems to be pretty nervous as well. And Matt Gaetz is basically saying that this effort to expel George Santos, which was achieved, by the way, the majority of Republicans voted against expulsion, still 105 Republicans voted for the expulsion, joining with the Democrats to hit that two-thirds number to ultimately expel

George Santos. Gates is saying that he thinks the MAGA Republicans can now, and Republicans in general, could lose the majority in the House even before 2024 as a result. Play this clip. And our willingness to self-mutilate on these things really impairs our ability to get the job done. So let's do the math here, Charlie. We have a four-vote majority, right? Now we've kicked out George Santos. We have a three-vote majority. Congressman Bill Johnson of Ohio has taken a college university presidency. That could knock us down to two. And I don't really think Kevin McCarthy's sticking around long. Every image of his office shows that he's packing things up in boxes. So we could be down to a one seat majority.

We got a bunch of these octogenarians in our conference. If God forbid any of them were to cross the rainbow bridge, we would be in a situation where we could literally lose the majority because we were so eager to throw George Santos out before even being convicted. It is not in accordance with precedent. It is not in accordance with due process. And it is just tactically freaking stupid. And by the way, those sentiments being echoed by MAGA Republican Byron Donalds here, who says that expelling George Santos was an attack on congressional institutions. Play this clip. So let's watch.

It changes the very nature of what this institution is supposed to function. We've been lectured politically for the last four years, a lot of it in the press, about our institutions. What happened here today goes against the principles of our institutions. It does. And people can say whatever they want. It's only fans, it's this, it's that. It's bigger than what he was accused of. My angst is not about what George was accused of. It's not, cuz I'm not defending it. It is about the process upon which he was expelled today. That is my concern. What's your mission?

Do you think leadership could have done more? Yes. What exactly? I'm going to leave it at that because I got to go to the airport. Wow. Saying that it's an attack on congressional institutions. So wild. By the way, the MAGA Republican influencer, the biggest kind of social media influencer

in Republican politics now, an account called Cat Turd. You heard that right. Cat Feces is the number one Republican influencer, is now saying the Republican Party is a joke. He's mocking MAGA Mike Johnson, saying that MAGA Mike said he was going to release all the January 6 tapes, but only released about 1% and is now supporting funding to Ukraine, calling MAGA Mike a lying fraud. And then here, Cat Turd says, LOL, the neocon rhinos are confused about Paul Ryan dropping Ron DeSantis and endorsing Nikki Haley. This all may sound like lots of infighting. They're all attacking each other. And I guess what is Marjorie Taylor Greene doing while all this is going on?

Well, she's trying desperately to sell her failing book on Amazon. Right now, her memoir was ranked at like 9,735 amongst the best-selling books as of last week. It's a total, utter flop. Who wants to read a Marjorie Taylor green book? I don't know, unless you're trying to induce puke. Watch what she's doing while all of this is going on, because, y'all, it's all a grift for them. I got to tell you, anybody's unemployment has to do with bad choices and

personal responsibility. And again, that does not have a skin color. I know a ton of white people that are as lazy and sorry and probably worse than black people I know. And I would not hire them because they're lazy and they're sorry and they're pathetic. And that has everything to do with their bad choices and their personal responsibility. That is not a skin color issue either. That's a people issue. Meanwhile, what's MAGA Mike doing as the MAGA Republicans are saying that Kevin McCarthy is trying to undermine MAGA Mike and then go after Matt Gaetz for removing him and using Santos as precedent to try to expel Matt Gaetz through a similar methodology. Here's MAGA Mike Johnson, who went to the expansion project in Sarasota, Florida, which is funded by $20 million from the infrastructure law that he voted against,

attacking Pete Buttigieg and the administration that got the money for the improvements that they are bragging about. So they vote no and take the dough, in other words. Here, play this clip. Well, Congress has a role to play in ensuring that these disruptions don't happen. And we're trying to be good stewards of that and perform that duty well. And that's why, as I mentioned in our bill, the FAA reauthorization once every five years this time around we put some important reforms in there we want to build up the the supply of pilots that are available and and obviously we need some reform at the TSA I'm not delighted in the way

that secretary Buttigieg has run the transportation department I think there's been there's a let's say to's been, let's say, to be charitable, it's left much to be desired. But so much as the House and we have a responsibility in helping to reform these things, we've included a lot of those priorities in that bill. And so that's why we're encouraging the Senate to take it up and get it done and get it to the president's desk, because I think it will behoove and help all the American people. And while this is going on as well, here you have Liz Cheney, former Republican Congress member, still a conservative, but really no longer a Republican because the Republican parties left them. I'm not sure. I don't know if she still classifies herself as conservative,

but I mean, this Republican party has been taken over by MAGA. Here's what she has to say about MAGA. Mike Johnson, play this clip. If you look at what Donald Trump is trying to do, he can't do it by himself. He has to have collaborators. And the story of Mike Johnson is a story of a collaborator and of someone who knew then and knows now that what he's doing and saying is wrong, but he's willing to do it in an effort to please Donald Trump. And that's what makes it dangerous. The Speaker of the House is a collaborator to overthrow the last election. Absolutely.

And by the way, here's what Liz Cheney says the choices between as we approach 2024, do we care about democracy or not? Play this clip. If a person is a member of Congress and they have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution, can they defend the Constitution and also endorse Donald Trump? No. It's inconsistent. They're breaking with their oath by saying they would like him to be the next president. In my view, fundamentally, there is a choice to be made. You can't both be for Donald Trump and for the Constitution. You have to choose.

That's a lot of people who are choosing Donald Trump. Yeah, it is. And by the way, former Republican governor of New Jersey, not Chris Christie. I play a bunch of Chris Christie clips here on the Mind of Such Dark, but this is another one. Christine Todd Whitman. And here, Governor Whitman basically says there is no Republican Party anymore. It's just a cult. It's a cult. She's a Republican governor from New Jersey at Chris Christie. Now you have Governor Christine Todd Whitman. You're getting a trend here.

I mean, first of all, let me just say, I don't think there is a Republican Party. There is a cult around Donald Trump. They didn't they didn't adopt a platform in 2020, which meant they didn't set out what they stood for. It was whatever Donald Trump tells us we should stand for today. That's what we'll stand for. So it's not a party as we have known it. And that is, believe what he says. He says what he's going to do. Believe him.

He will tear down the very guardrails of our democracy, the things, the rule of law, the respect for the Constitution. I mean, that's going to go with him because he said he's going to do it. And nobody should question that. He means what he says. While all of that's going on, if you want to know how depraved the MAGA Republican Party is, they've got, who's their big guest on Fox right now? brother-in-law is now who Fox is bringing on to criticize Hunter Biden and say that Hunter Biden engaged in treason, a crime punishable by death. And then Steve Bannon brings on Bin Laden's niece to praise the January 6th insurrectionists. So folks, don't give me the both sides crap right here, okay? But interesting to see the MAGA Republicans at war with themselves. This claim that Kevin McCarthy orchestrated the Santos expulsion to go after
