Yesterday, undercover reporter Lauren Windsor, executive producer of the web show The Undercurrent, released hidden camera video of Ted Cruz telling her the FBI, quote, needs a complete housecleaning due to to its quote, horrific abuse of power as he nodded in agreement when she asked if he thinks the Republicans should defund the FBI if given the chance. Have a listen to Lauren's video and think for yourself. I wanted to say thank you so much for all you're doing to fight for Herschel Walker and to take back the Senate. I just think it's so important that you guys actually do defund all those IRS agents.

Absolutely. But I think it's imperative that you really have to defund the FBI after all the witch hunts they're going on. It is horrific, the abuse of power at the FBI, and it's wrong. And there needs to be a complete house cleaning that happens at the FBI. Are you all going to be able to do that when you ret rethink the Senate? I think we need to fight to do that. We need to fight to have real oversight. Great. Thank you so much. Now, I sincerely apologize for making you listen to Ted Cruz.

Seriously, I am sorry if I spoiled your appetite. But, well, after we shared Lauren's video, Ted Cruz went and attacked Midas Touch on Twitter saying, quote, Lefty Twitter is gonna lie. It's like they do, but every word I said is true. Ted, first off, what? Anyway, Ted, if supporting law and order makes us lefties, then so be it. Midas Touch co-founder Ben Mycelis recorded a pitch perfect response to Ted's attack. And I can't wait to share with you today. Ben, take it away. So Ted Cruz just attacked the Midas Touch network. Midas Touch tweeted, Ted Cruz wants to defund the FBI because he does. And this was Ted Cruz's response to the Midas Touch tweet. Lefty Twitter is going to lie. It's what they do. But every word I said is true. Ted Cruz is apparently Dr. Seuss, although I thought he wanted to ban Dr. Seuss. Then he goes, the FBI's raid was a horrific abuse of power. There needs to be

a complete house cleaning at the FBI. We need real oversight from Congress. All absolutely true. Oh, Ted Cruz, dear leader, Donald Trump in your world is above the law. You can go and steal state secrets, national defense information. That's what you can do now. You could take this information and do whatever the hell you want with it if you're a former president. Where's the real law and order here? You're criticizing the FBI. There's not even an indictment yet. We're talking about an investigation, a criminal investigation because Donald Trump stole top secret, sensitive, compartmented information that harmed our national security. He stole it and he brought it to a resort in Mar-a-Lago, which has a record of being

infiltrated by spies. You're okay with that? Republicans are totally cool with that. And we shouldn't even investigate it, right? There's not even an indictment yet. There was a search warrant obtained because probable cause was established before a magistrate judge. You've seen Ted Cruz, the affidavit. The affidavit shows that from the time Trump left the White House, took the U-Haul van, stole the records, brought it to Mar-a-Lago. The National Archives did everything they could to get these records back. And Trump continued

to obstruct, continued to lie that the records had been giving back. Why do you think he's saving top secret sensitive compartmented information, Ted? Do you think it's because he wants to just put these momentums on his wall? Or do you think he wants to use it to harm our country like he did when he was the president of the United States? We are a country of laws. We are a country of law and order, and no one is above the law, Ted Cruz. And it's also just astonishing, right? Ted is protecting Donald Trump, a criminal who called Ted Cruz's wife ugly, a criminal who said Ted Cruz's father killed JFK. This is who you trust, Ted Cruz? He said your dad killed JFK. He called your wife out as ugly.

This is the man you're defending. Not even from an indictment because there has been no indictment yet. You want to defund the FBI. You want to ridicule the FBI. You want to abolish the FBI in its current form. You want to remove a director, Christopher Wray, who Donald Trump appointed. It's a Trump appointee. That's who you want to do because Donald Trump is being investigated, criminally investigated

because he stole documents that could lead to the death of American citizens and may have already led to the death of American citizens. Law and order means we follow process and procedure. And I know you feel so privileged, Ted, that what law and order means to you is actually chaos and disorder. It means that you get to control who gets arrested. It means you get to control what the investigations look like. That's your conception of law and order. But here in the United States of America, there is nobody above the law. And your sheepish fidelity to a cult leader who's mocked your family, not once, not twice,

over and over again, he's mocked your family. Embarrassing. Embarrassing and disgraceful. And you know what, Ted? Maybe you should spend less time podcasting and going out on stage and saying, you know what my pronouns are? My pronouns are shut the hell up. And maybe you should focus more on actually helping Americans.

Maybe you should focus more on proposing policies that actually make a difference. And maybe you should focus less on trying to protect wannabe dictators to destroy our democracy. Ted Cruz.
