That was bad, huh?
That was real, real bad for Joe Biden.
It was really good for Donald Trump and the Republicans.
I guess bad for America, except it was good for America in as much as it was bad for Biden and good for Trump and we'll help Trump win in November.
Last night's debate went so terribly for Joe Biden that some conservatives are now worried that it must have been some kind of a trap.
It was so bad for Biden that the conservatives went from being happy and then elated to being
worried, crestfallen almost.
It was so shockingly, stunningly, scandalously bad.
It had to be a, it had to be a farce, right?
It had to be a trick.
It had to be a conspiracy.
Top Democrats are publicly admitting how bad it is.
Therefore, some Republicans are concluding.
this must have been some 5D chess move by Democrats to replace Biden and then to destroy Trump
because they can get, I don't know, Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama or, I don't know,
the ghost of Franklin Roosevelt or someone to beat Trump.
No one can believe that a political performance that terrible could have just happened.
But it did.
And we will get into how.
I'm Michael Knowles.
That's the Michael Knowles show.
Welcome back to the show.
as the president of the United States endured rigor mortis on national television last night,
the Secretary of State was claiming that spreading LGBTism is in America's national security interests.
We will get into that in just a moment. First, though, I told you bad news we sold out of Sicilian summer.
It's kind of good news in that a lot of people now have zesty, citrusy, knolls-smelling Sicilian summer candles burning in their homes.
I've got some good news for you.
If you go to the candleclub.com, maybe in the daily wire shop,
but definitely go to the candleclub.com with the the,
you will get probably the greatest candle we've ever made.
You will get the new version of it.
During Lent, we had the Smells and Bells candle to make your home smell like a 12th century monastery.
It's sold out very quickly.
People absolutely loved it.
But we said, okay, that's it.
That's the Lent candle, no more smells and bells.
We have a new iteration of smells and bells.
So if you liked that, you're going to love this.
It is called Wise Man, available beyond the Lenton season.
It smells absolutely magnificent.
Go get yours now, the candle club.com.
The two worst moments for Biden last night also happened to be the occasion for Donald Trump's best zingers.
All those things we need to do, child care, elder care.
making sure that we continue to strengthen our health care system,
making sure that we're able to make every single solitary person
eligible for what I've been able to do with the COVID,
excuse me, with dealing with everything we have to do with.
Look, if we finally beat Medicare.
Thank you, President Biden.
President Trump.
He was right.
He did beat Medicare.
He beat it to death.
destroying Medicare.
There's a great line from Trump.
Total Zinger.
In a way, the Zinger almost got buried because of Jake Tapper's response.
And we didn't in COVID.
Not COVID was.
We beat Medicare.
He brought himself back to something that sounded like authoritative political rhetoric,
but it didn't make a lot of sense.
We beat Medicare.
And you can hear.
Jake Tapper's voice. Once Biden thinks he lands the plane, you hear Tapper go, uh, thank you,
President Biden. And then Trump right in there with the Zinger. Yeah, you beat it to death.
Let me tell you about my Medicare plan and what we've done and how great it was under my watch.
Now, why does this matter? Trump's really good at the Zinger's. We thought going into this debate,
we weren't going to get the Zingers because the moderator said we're going to mute the microphones.
There's not going to be cross talk. No opportunity for Trump to pull his, you know, yeah, Hillary, you'd be in jail.
in my country or yeah only rosy o'donald or all those little zingers that that fire people up but but trump
was restrained and disciplined and so he just got the zinger in when it was his turn to speak and and
he really landed it then maybe even more devastating than Biden just fumbling around to make some point
about medicare was was when Biden fumbled around to make some point that no one can even really
say what it was I'm going to continue to move into
we get the total ban on the total initiative relative to what we're going to do with more border
patrol and more asylum officers?
President Trump?
I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence.
I don't think he knows what he said either.
The Zinger's worked because of their restraint.
Just like a beautiful poem is beautiful and made all the more beautiful by the limits put on the poem.
by the meter, by the rhyme scheme, by the delicacy and nuance of the diction.
That's what, if it's just beyond all limits and bombastic, if the poem is slam poetry or something,
it's going to be terrible.
But if it's controlled, if it's got limits, that's where the beauty lies.
And that's where the beauty was in Trump's answers.
He gets the line in, yeah, you beat Medicare to death.
Let me tell you, now let me move on.
Little zinger, zoom, doom, there we go.
Okay, now let me tell you about how much better things were under my watch.
and let me speak an articulate English sentence.
That's going to be the biggest contrast of the night.
Even here, he could have said,
Joe, you're a demented old dottering idiot.
But he didn't do that.
There was actual pathos in what Trump was saying.
He said, it seems so genuine.
It seems so sincere.
I don't know what he was just saying.
I'm not even going to respond to what Biden was just saying.
I don't know what he was saying.
And I don't think he knows either.
That Zinger worked because it was tough, it was mean, it hit him, but it seemed to have an aspect of compassion to it, too. And most of all, it was sincere.
Jake Tapper didn't know what he said. Dana Bash didn't know what he said. The viewers didn't know what Biden was trying to say. So the Zingers worked as well as I've ever seen them work for Trump because it wasn't just that they were funny and quick. He just, he just knew the room. He read the room. He's a great showbiz genius. And he,
He knows how to play to 50,000 people in a stadium, and he knows how to play to four people in a closed studio without a live audience being broadcast to 80 million people at home.
He just understood the medium. He understood the moment he lived up to it. Biden tried to get some zingers in as well.
It was really just one zinger, and it was one zinger that he repeated throughout the entire night, namely, don't believe what that guy just said.
We had by far the highest, and now it's down in less than half, because he's done all these great things that we did.
And I think he did it just because I approved it, which is crazy.
But he has killed so many people at our border by allowing all of these people to come in.
President Biden, it's a very sad day in America.
President Biden, you have the mic.
Every single thing he said is a lie.
Every single one.
So this was it.
This was Biden's only comeback all night.
Trump had these kind of funny little comebacks.
Yeah, you beat Medicare to death.
Yeah, I don't know what you just said.
Yeah, you're not that good at golf, which we'll get to in a second.
That was a charming little one, too.
Yeah, actually, the Ukraine war, you know, disproves what you've just said.
Yeah, my performance in the economy or immigration disproves what you just said.
He had, he had substantive rebuttal.
All Biden had was, that isn't true.
That's a lie.
It was the my cousin Vinnie defense.
It was that moment in my cousin Vinny where Joe Pessy shows up wearing the 19th century crazy look
suit and he says this.
Everything that guy just says, bull.
Thank you.
That's pretty much the defense.
He didn't have quite the panache of a Joe Pesci and his wardrobe wasn't quite as ornate,
but that was it.
Mr. Biden, what's your response to all of the charges leveled against you by former
President Trump?
Everything that guy just said is, old.
The defense rests.
So the Trump obviously won on the zingers.
Even at the end, I just alluded to it, there was this funny little exchange about how Biden challenged Trump to golf.
And Trump thought this was kind of funny.
Here is Trump just knocking him down.
You can see he is 6'5 and only 223 pounds, or 235 pounds.
Well, you said 6.4, 200.
Well, anyway, that's what you're, anyway.
Just take a look at what he says he is and take a look at what he is.
Look, I'd be happy to have a driving contest with him.
I got my handicap, which when I was vice president, down to a six.
And by the way, I told you before, I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag.
Think you can do it?
That's the biggest lie that is a six handicap of all.
I was eight handicapped.
Eight?
Never.
But I have, you know, how many?
I've seen your swing.
I know you swing.
Let's not act like children.
President Trump, we're going to learn.
Let's not act like children.
Let's, hey, come on.
Let's not act like children.
Masterful, masterful.
The whole bit beginning to end was masterful.
Biden starts it.
Trump, you claimed on your physical that you're six foot five,
225 pounds.
Trump, with his mic off,
so no one at home could really hear the answer.
He goes, that's not true.
I never said that.
Biden could have ignored what Trump was saying,
because the audience at home wasn't listening, but Biden has lost his marbles, so he didn't realize
that he had that advantage, that that debate rule that his team asked for, which is that shut up
Trump's mic so that he doesn't interfere with your lies and your narrative, he didn't realize
that he could take advantage of that. So instead he answers Trump, he goes, well, what do you,
you, you didn't say that? Well, you said, then you didn't say six, five. You said you were six,
four. I didn't say that either. I, oh, okay. All right, well, whatever he said, that's what he
said, but anyway, I want to play golf with you. I'm a six over par handicap. And then Trump
takes the opportunity and makes a polite and respectable little joke. It's biggest lie Joe's told
all night, he's not a six over handicap. Uh-uh. No way. That's a, that's a gentleman's joke.
Okay, that's not a, you've got an ugly face and your mother's a whore kind of joke, which is
sometimes the level of comedy that you could hear on the campaign.
handrail, especially Trump is a funny New York kind of guy. That isn't it. He was just, oh, yeah,
you're not as good at golf as you say you are. Yeah, I've seen your swing. So even that,
that's a gentlemanly kind of joke. It plays well in Peoria, but it's still off-footed Biden.
And then Trump comes in just as the debate is reaching the point where people could say Trump was
taking cheap shots and making jokes and distracting. Trump says, but let's not act like children.
Hey, guys, I'm going to be the adult in the room.
Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, especially you, Joe Biden.
Can we please get back to the substantive issues?
You're great at protecting your data, but lots of places could still expose you to identity theft.
I thought it was safe.
If that happens, LifeLock gives you a U.S.-based restoration agent who will stick by your side from start to finish.
Phone calls, filing documentation, preparing insurance claims, your agent handles it all.
In fact, we're so confident restoration is guaranteed.
pour your money back.

Terms apply.
Masterful.
He did that all in about one minute, less than one minute, I think.
Absolutely masterful.
And then they did get into substantive issues.
And so put the zingers aside for a second on the substance.
Trump slaughtered this guy.
There's so much more to say.
First, though, text Noles to 98, 98, 98.
Saudi Arabia recently ended.
It's 50-year petro dollar deal with the U.S., which has the potential to weaken the U.S. dollar.
Since 1974, Saudi Arabia has sold oil solely in U.S. dollars, which was huge for our global economic dominance.
It is for reasons like this that I feel it is important to diversify some of your savings into gold, and you can do that with the help of Birch gold.
Right now, qualifying purchases by July 31st are eligible to get a one-of-a-kind limited edition golden truth bomb.
The only way to claim your eligibility is by texting Knowles to
98-98-98. I don't even have one now. They're so rare. I held
the gold and truth bomb yesterday. It's very heavy because it's gold-plated.
I think the base is bronze or something like that. It's very, very impressive. I love gold.
I love having a decent chunk of my portfolio in gold, especially during these crazy times.
Protect your savings by diversifying away from the U.S. dollar into gold.
Text Knolls to 98-98-98. Birch gold will help you convert an old IRA or 401k
to an IRA in gold, no money out of pocket. Qualifying purchases will get the opportunity to
potentially have a limited edition, golden truth bomb. Text Knowles, KennawLES to 98, 98, 98, 98. That is
Knowles to 98, 98, 98, 98 today. On the substance of the debate, what did Biden have to say?
We knew the issues he was going to bring up. Forget about January 6th was the worst day ever.
Forget about Donald Trump is a felon. Forget about he uses naughty words. Forget about he's a racist,
sexist, misogynist, Nazi, this is thatist. You know, you had all that. But on the substance,
we knew Biden was going to go after Trump on abortion. Trump overruled Roe v. Wade. He got the judges
on the court to overrule Roe v. Wade. He wants to ban abortions. That's terrible. Vote for me.
Joe Biden, I have the moderate popular position on abortion. Here's Joe trying to make that argument.
I support Roe v. Wade, which had three trimesters. The first time is between the woman and the doctor.
Second time is between the doctor and an extreme situation.
The third time is between the doctor, I mean, between the woman in the state.
The idea that the politicians, that the founders want of the politicians to be the ones making decisions to my woman's health is ridiculous.
That's the last, no politician should be making that decision.
A doctor should be making those decisions.
That's how it should be run.
That's what you're going to do.
And if I'm elected, I'm going to restore Roe v. Wade.
So the one part that Biden said is true is that Roe v. Wade established a trimester system for determining when you can kill a baby. That is true. And the trimester system that Biden describes is not accurate. What did he say there? He said the first in the first one, it's, you know, you can kill the baby. And in the second one, it's between the mother and the, and in the, and in the second one, it's between the mother and the state. And but we don't want politicians involved. Hold on. Wait, hold it. You just. So.
You're telling me, previously, you said to Trump, no, Trump, that's not true.
We don't support late-term abortions.
I support Roe v. Wade, and Roe v. Wade is a trimester system.
So don't tell me that I support late abortions.
According to the trimester system, you can abort babies in the first trimester or the second
trimester or the third trimester.
Wait, what?
But anyway, I'm trying to tell you that we don't support late-term abortions, but then I just
literally told you we do support late-term abortions.
And I specifically claimed, out of nowhere, that the third trimester, what distinguishing
which is it from the first two trimesters is that there, the decision of whether or not to kill a baby is between the mother and the state.
And that's why I don't think politicians should be involved in the issue of abortion.
I mean, I guess the politicians are in the state. They work for the state. And so the state is politics.
And that's the third trimester, which is the late term that you're actually bringing up Trump.
But anyway, I don't, I support Roe v. Wade. And there's a further irony here.
Utah Senator Mike Lee posted a great clip. I probably should have pulled it.
There were so many clips coming in of Biden decades ago saying that while he supported the outcome
of Rovi Wade, he supports abortion, he supports killing babies willy-nilly, he was mocking the
constitutional reasoning behind Rovi-Wade.
He said, you know, no one really believes that the Rovi-Wade decision was a great example
of constitutional, reasonable jurisprudence.
No, the decision was a total mess.
And of course, it was a total mess.
That's why the Supreme Court totally upended.
the logic of Roe v. Wade and the line of argumentation when it reaffirmed the conclusion of Roe v.
Casey in the early 90s before it was overruled in the Dobbs decision.
So the answer was just gobbledygook from the perspective of Roe v. Wade, of the actual
decision, from the perspective of bioethics, from the perspective of the history of abortion
in America, and from the perspective of Joe Biden's own position.
Decades ago and in the debate.
He contradicted himself in the very same breath.
Here's Trump on Roe v. Wade.
He's willing to, as we say, rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month and kill the baby.
Nobody wants that to happen.
Democrat or Republican, nobody wants it to happen.
That is simply not true.
That Roe v. Wade does not provide for that.
That's not the circumstance.
Only a woman's life is in danger.
She's going to die.
That's the only circumstance in which that can happen.
but we are not for late-term abortion, period. Period, period.
Under Roe v. Wade, you have late-term abortion.
You can do whatever you want, depending on the state.
You can do whatever you want.
We don't think that's a good thing.
We think it's a radical thing.
We think the Democrats are the radicals, not the Republican.
Perfect. This is the answer.
Democrats are the radicals on abortion.
Whatever you think about abortion, I know people have all sorts of views on abortion,
and a lot of them are incoherent views.
Like, you know, you're fine with killing babies in the first four months,
but not after four months or once the baby moves or whatever.
These are incoherent views from the perspective of morality and bioethics,
but a lot of people think them.
And so Trump is just recognizing that political reality saying,
hey, all you need to know is Joe Biden supports killing babies in the third trimester,
which he goes on to admit.
Joe Biden's Democrats broadly support killing babies in the fourth trimester,
even after the baby's been born, as the governor of Virginia,
whom Trump cites here admits.
and it's the Democrats who are the radicals on abortion, not the Republicans.
What Trump says here is absolutely correct.
When Joe Biden says, no, it's not true.
You're not allowed under-Rovie Wade.
You're not allowed to have abortions in the third trimester only to save the life of the
month.
That's a lie.
That is not true.
And then he goes on to admit that when he tries and fails to explain the trimester
system of Roe v.
Before we move on to the fallout here and what this means for Biden's nomination, is he
going to be the nominee now?
Don't forget this debate took place.
before the conventions. That's a little bit unusual. Some people are suggesting there's a conspiracy
afoot among Democrats who wanted Biden to lose to replace him as the nominee. There's just
one little exchange in this debate that went largely unnoticed. I haven't seen a lot of people
talking about it. And to me, it sums up Biden's second biggest problem. The first biggest
problem is his brain doesn't work anymore and it's probably got a lot of plaque on it. But the second
biggest problem is Joe Biden doesn't even understand the terms of the present debate as we saw when he
went after Trump for cutting social security.
He wants to get rid of Social Security.
He thinks there's plenty to cut in Social Security.
He's wanted to cut Social Security and Medicare both times.
And if you look at the program put forward by the House Republican Caucus that he, I believe, supports, is in fact want to cut it as well.
The idea that we don't need to protect our seniors is ridiculous.
So this isn't true.
but Biden says a lot of things that aren't true.
What's amazing about this claim is it's not true,
and it's actually the exact opposite of everything
that Trump has said on the issue of Social Security and Medicare
since he's been running for president,
since he's been president.
And it's what Trump has said is actually contrary to
what a lot of Republicans wanted to do 10 or 20 years ago.
One of the distinctive features of Trump as a Republican politician,
is unlike a lot of other Republican politicians, he does not want to cut Social Security.
He does not want to cut Medicare. He does not want to cut Medicaid. That actually irritates a lot of
people in the conservative movement. But that's the Trump movement. He says, I am not touching
these entitlements. I, I, Trump, have been consistent. I will not touch this. We'll get the
savings cuts somewhere else. So then Biden almost maybe starts to realize this halfway through his
answer. He goes, he supports the House Republican plan to cut Social Security of Medicare.
he's talking about Paul Ryan's plan, the path to prosperity, which actually had a lot to recommend it, but it's a total political loser now.
He's talking about Paul Ryan's plan from like 2009.
Paul Ryan is not the Speaker of the House anymore.
He wasn't the Speaker even when he wrote that plate.
He was the Chairman of the Budget Committee.
He's not even in the House of Representatives anymore.
He hasn't been for years.
Biden is speaking.
He's lobbying this attack as though it's 15 years ago.
And you can see Biden, or Trump rather, he's looking kind of befuddled there.
He goes, huh?
I very famously will not cut any of those entitlements.
And I've taken political slings and arrows from my own side for saying that.
You don't even know the things you should be attacking about me.
Joe, you are living more than a decade in the past.
You don't even know who you're talking to.
So will Biden be the Democrat nominee?

this country, you get amnesty and handouts. You trespass into the U.S. Capitol, you rot in prison.
That's kind of odd. Your foreign national may be affiliated with a terrorist cell,
certainly at least affiliated with the criminal cartels, you get.
get handouts and money and a hotel room and amnesty and a path to citizenship and a voter registration
for him. But if you are an American citizen who is peacefully protesting your government, you're not,
and you even consider going near the Capitol grounds, you'll be thrown in solitary for
years. That's kind of weird, isn't it? That's kind of weird. Is Joe Biden going to be the nominee?
Democrats are starting to say, maybe not. Claire McCaskill, who is a huge,
Lib Democrat Senator.
She went on MSNBC right after the debate, and she said,
maybe it's time to get rid of Joe.
I have been a surrogate for some presidential candidates in my time.
I know what the job is after a debate of a surrogate.
I've never wanted to be a surrogate more than I do right now.
Because when you're a surrogate, you have to focus on the positives.
but I have said very clearly and very plainly on this network,
and my job now is to be really honest.
Joe Biden had one thing he had to do tonight, and he didn't do it.
He had one thing he had to accomplish,
and that was reassure America that he was up to the job at his age,
and he failed at that tonight.
Now, does that mean that my phone blowing up
with senators and campaign operatives and donors, big donors from all over the country,
does that mean that Joe Biden is not going to be the candidate?
I don't know that.
I think we'll know a lot more in a few weeks.
Pretty shocking, especially coming from a former senator who's supposed to be a Biden campaign surrogate,
who, I mean, all these guys are supposed to, to some degree, to be Biden campaign surrogates,
because Biden's the incumbent.
That was Claire McCaskill on MSNBC.
See, here's Joy Reid, who's even more left-wing than McCaskill,
speaking to my doppelganger and some other woman on the decision desk.
She was even more beside herself.
The people who were texting with me were very concerned about President Biden seeming extremely feeble,
seeming extremely weak.
And, you know, I'll just reiterate what I said earlier.
President Biden had one job tonight.
and it was one primary job.
And yes, it was to litigate Donald Trump's, you know,
criminality and all of those things.
But he had to settle his own party.
He needed to settle Democrats.
Democrats, you know, they always talk about Democrats are bedwetters
and Democrats are always panicking.
Yes, Democrats are always panicking.
They're always thinking they're going to lose.
Like Democrats are very pessimistic.
This is just who they are.
They're neurotic.
But Joe Biden's job was to reassure them tonight.
His job was to,
calm his party to make them feel that, yes, I can do this. I have four more years in me.
I have the ability and the stamina and the strength to do four more years. He did not do that.
He did the opposite of that. So don't take my word for it. You can hear it from Joy Reid.
You can hear it from Claire McCaskill. You can hear it from Politico. You can hear it from CNN commentators.
You can hear it from NBC and everyone. You can hear it from everyone on the left, which is raising people's alarm bells.
they're saying, wow, was this a plan? Was this a secret plan by the Democrats? Oh, it all makes sense now.
They're going to hold the debate before the convention so they can reveal to the world that Biden is really senile.
And that way they can push him out and install some new nominee who actually has a chance to beat Trump.
Because right now, if you look at the polls, Biden is losing to Trump. So, ha, ha, wow, they actually pulled one over on the Republicans.
Stop celebrating conservatives. I don't buy it, guys. I don't.
buy it. I understand that there is such a thing as conspiracy. In some ways, conspiracies make the world go
around. Every business, every political campaign is its own little conspiracy. I understand that.
I just don't see how this one would have worked because the Democrats would have had to fool Biden,
and even if Biden's lost his marbles, would have had to fool Jill Biden, would have had to
fool Hunter Biden, who is a degenerate, but he's at least intelligent, would have had to fool
the whatever advisors remain loyal to Joe Biden
because Biden
proposed these terms for the debate
so what
what is and then
okay let's say you've just shown that your nominee
is dottering and incapable of forming
English sentence and is obviously
in much deeper throws of senility
than even I had previously imagined
so then you're going to nominate
Kamala Kamala loses
to Trump so then you're going to nominate Michelle
Obama, she doesn't really want it. And I think Michelle Obama loses to Trump, by the way. I don't,
I know people believe because Michelle Obama has made herself a dime store Oprah that everyone
really likes her and she's popular. I don't think she's actually all that popular. And I think she loses
to Trump if she's installed at this late stage. So then what, Gavin Newsom, you could tell he was absolutely
salivating in that spin room yesterday. Gavin, are you going to be the nominee? Oh, no, please stop asking
me that. I'm in the money. But no, probably he's not going to be the nominee. Because
because you have the structural problem then of a white guy, like the whitest guy ever, the whitest guyest guy ever
overtaking the first black woman vice president. I don't see that really happening. I just don't,
I don't think it works. Joe Biden's wanted to be president since he was in the womb. I don't think
he's going to give it up willingly. They'd probably have to invoke the 25th Amendment if they wanted to
drag Biden out of there. And even then, they'd probably have to drag him out cold on a stretcher.
So I don't, I think, I think this was just bad for them. And I think Biden has risen to the occasion on, on some occasions. I was at the state of the union. That was only a few months ago. I was in the room at the state of the union and Biden sounded like he was on drugs, but he sounded fine in the sense that he was screaming the whole time and at least seemed to have a lot of energy. After the debate, Joe Biden actually sounded pretty good when he was talking to the crowd. So ironically, I think the Biden campaign thought if we get rid of the audience for,
the debate, and we agree to this in-studio thing at CNN, that that'll stop Donald Trump,
the demagogue from whipping up the crowd, and that'll help Biden. But no, I think Biden feeds
off of people. Maybe he literally feeds off of them like he sucks their blood, and that's what
keeps him going. But at least metaphorically, he feeds off of people because he's a back-slapping,
simpering politician. That's been his whole career. That's been 60 years he's been doing that.
So he doesn't have any beliefs of his own. He doesn't really have any principles,
but he's good with a crowd.
You've got to give the guy that, at least,
and he can come alive with a crowd,
just like your grandparent
who's suffering from some kind of dementia,
sometimes when you bring the grandkids over,
your grandparent perks up again.
So for all of those reasons
and many others,
I just think all the political nerds are saying,
oh, what are the machinations,
what's going to happen?
No, I think it was just a bad night for Democrats,
and I think Biden's the nominee,
and barring,
you know, an actual catastrophic health event, you know, barring some stroke or his death,
I think he's going to continue to be the nominee.
And I think Democrats are just sincerely really upset about that.
And the reason that they're mimicking each other's talking points on television is because they're unoriginal and they don't have all that much to say.
And so, yeah, sure, they copy each other and they're silly little rhetoric.
But I think the desperation is probably genuine.
Now, before we move on to the mailbag, I don't want to just harp on Biden the whole time.
His whole administration is the problem.
His whole administration looks ridiculous.
Tony Blinken, the Secretary of State, has just gone out and claimed that spreading LGBTism, spreading sodomy and transvestitism, is somehow in America's national security interests.
It's in our national security interest to stand up for LGBTI-plus persons around the world.
When nations came together 75 years ago, they affirmed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
respect for the equal and inalable rights of all members of the human family, that's the foundation
of freedom, justice, and peace in the world. And we see that here at the State Department every single day.
countries that respect the rights of every individual tend to be more stable, more healthy, more democratic, more prosperous.
Those that discriminate against LGBTI-plus persons tend to be less free and tend to be less equal.
The correlation is as clear as day.
64 countries currently criminalized consensual sex, same-sex conduct between adults.
in 11 of them, having same-sex relations is punishable by death.
Okay, and that is why it's in America's national security interest to spread the rainbow flag.
I could understand if you're making some argument as to why he feels from his personal liberal view of morality that's really important to encourage weird sex stuff.
But it seems to me he fails to make the argument as to how this is an America's national security interest.
I think he even fails to make the argument as to how spreading the rainbow flag domestically helps us.
He uses all these words, you know, freedom, prosperity, the countries that do all the gay stuff are freer and more prosperous.
America was much freer and more prosperous, and prosperous, rather, before we started pushing all the weird gay stuff.
Don't forget, we've been pushing all the weird gay stuff in a relatively short number of years.
It's been relatively recent that we've been waving the rainbow flag.
The Bostock decision that redefined sex as gender and really advanced transgender ideology, that was 20-20.
That was four years ago.
The Obergefell decision, which radically redefined marriage, that was less than 10 years ago.
Before that, everybody agreed marriage is a union between a man and a woman.
There was no such thing as gay marriage.
Certainly not at the federal level.
Nine years ago.
even Lawrence v. Texas, the Supreme Court case that said that there's some constitutional right to homosexual sodomy,
probably news to Alexander Hamilton and John Jay and the authors of the Federalist and the framers of the Constitution.
That case was 2003.
So that was just a little over 20 years ago.
Do you think America has become freer and more prosperous since we started pushing all the weird gay stuff?
I'm not saying that the cause of our increasing servitude and lack of prosperity,
you know, poverty, both spiritual and financial, is caused by all the weird gay stuff.
I'm really not suggesting that.
But he's trying to draw some argument of causation here.
And I just don't really see it.
We were freer and more prosperous before we started pushing the rainbow flag.
probably our freedom and prosperity peaked somewhere around the middle of the 20th century as
the American Empire was really on the rise. But even if you don't think that, even if you hate the
1950s for some reason, I think it's hard to argue that we're freer and more prosperous today
than we were before 9-11. No way. We're certainly not more secure today than we were before 9-11,
are we? It doesn't feel that way. It seems like there's terror events popping off all over the
country and all over the world all the time. We just caught eight terrorists in America,
ISIS terrorists that were welcomed in by Biden's administration. This is the kind of stuff
they're focusing on. So yeah, Biden is a doddering old senile man. Okay, what's Blinkin's
excuse? What's Buttigieg's excuse? What's Kamala Harris's excuse? What's the excuse? What's
Mayorkas's excuse? The rest of the administration that in practice is just as bad off as Biden.

A lot of the private schools have, too.
Actually, it's very difficult to educate your kids these days.
The stuff the schools are pushing is horrifying.

Also, if you've not heard, Jeremy Boring has held a live town hall last week where he announced
an exciting partnership with Angel Studios to bring you a new.
film called Sound of Hope, the story of possum trot coming to theaters on July 4th.
You might know Angel Studios from their movie Sound of Freedom, which made a profound impact
last year by shining a powerful light on the child trafficking crisis.
Now Angel Studios is back, continuing their fight for kids and DailyWire is joining with them.
Sound of Hope is the true story of 22 families from a rural church who adopted 77 kids from
the foster system, sparking a movement to save vulnerable children everywhere.
We have a trailer so you can see what this movie is all about.
Are you sure these people want us?
I know they do.
You can call me mama.
Oh, Lord.
If we can't wrap our arms around the most vulnerable, then what do we add?
Noise!
And the children can't take the noise anymore.
This is something that we must do.
22 families want to adopt.
Hotel one's kids now.
That's about why.
What's happening with possum trot could mean a huge change for the system.
You got to go watch the film.
You can go watch it.
It's coming Independence Day.
I've watched it.
is quite moving, places strong family values at its core. It's more than a movie. It's a call to
action. There are over 100,000 kids in foster care that need homes. They need our help. The best way
to do that is by seeing Sound of Hope in theaters. That's how we start a movement to change culture.

Howdy, Michael. Congrats on baby boy number three. We also just had our third boy and hope
to build a baseball team someday. I currently work, but the plan is for me to stay at home after
working another year or so to meet some financial goals. However, I have some difficulty with my
husband. I want to do all the things the traditional wife does at home, like cook and clean,
but my husband insists on doing them. It wouldn't be an issue.
if he was a great cook and cleaner, but he is a mediocre chef at best, and let's just say we have
different sanitary standards. I've tried to talk to him multiple times, and we have gotten into a lot of
fights over these two topics. Do you have any advice on how to convince him to let me fulfill my duties
as a wife? Thanks, and God bless. That's so great. What a great, what a beautiful, can we say,
I want to save this mailback question. Such a beautiful mailback question. I want to come back.
to this 10 years from now on the show, or I don't know, I guess we'll all be probably living in the
matrix at that point, and the show will just be kind of coming into us through osmosis.
But whenever we do it, I want to save this. It's very important. And I hope the husband
listens here. Let your wife be a wife. We should all strive if you're a man to be a good
husband and if you're the woman to be a good wife. Even sometimes when we don't want to fulfill
those roles, we should still strive to do it, to do our duty. But when you when you, when you
want to do when you're trying to and here the husband is being a feminist and he demands that
you live like a liberal feminist? No. In that case, one of your wifely duties is to remind your
husband that he's a husband because you're so right. It's not even just that, I don't know,
you get a thrill out of putting on a dress and baking a pie. What you're saying is he's not good
at cleaning. I'm not good at cleaning. He's not really that good at cooking. I'm actually okay
at cooking as a child of the Metsuagina. But I'm not nearly as good as my wife is. My wife's a way
better cook than I am. Yeah, people are just, when it comes to the kids, the kids want to see me when
they want to run around the house or play ukulele or go hit a baseball. But they want to see Mama a lot more
of the time and for a lot of very different reasons. And especially when they're younger, they want to
spend more time with Mama. That's how it goes. You got to explain that to him. You got to say,
hey, husband, I'm saying this to you in full respect. You know, I recognize you're the head of the
household. You got to act like it. It's that content. You know what you got to tell him to watch?
You got to tell him to watch that scene when Don Corleone is talking to Johnny Fontaine. Johnny
Fontaine is crying, but I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. And Don Corollione grabs him,
shakes him, smacks him in the face and says, you're going to act like a man. What's the matter with
you? That's what he's got to do. He shouldn't feel guilty about it. It's not that he should go
sit on the couch and eat potato chips. He should go work harder. If he's going to do work around
the house, he can go power wash the deck.
I don't know. Or he can spend an hour later at work. Or he can run around with the kids and tuck her him out.
Or he can do a dad thing. He should go do a dad. He should stop doing a wife thing poorly and spend all of that time doing a dad thing, a husband thing well.
Next question.
Hey, Michael. So I wanted to clarify my last mailbag about conservative populism.
My main problem isn't about fiscal versus social or cultural issues, but with the fact of the populist movement isn't really offering
any coherent agenda. All I ever hear from them is that they want to beat the Democrats and about
how bad Biden is, but that tells me nothing about what they want to do to fix things. And given how
they behave in Congress, it feels like they're here to complain about everything and solve nothing,
despite the 2016 promise for promises made, promises kept. My focus, first and foremost,
is about doing what is in the best interest of the country, not about beating Democrats.
So I was hoping you could clarify what exactly the current populist movement is doing that's actually serving American interests and getting things done,
since all I really see are people who are willing to talk a lot on TV and act as demagogues,
but I'm not really seeing any action or clear messaging.
Even campaign emails only say, vote for me to stop the Dems.
I just feel like we've lost sight of our goals. Thanks.
Okay, it's a good question, though you shouldn't really divorce the two.
doing good for the country and beating the Democrats. Beating the Democrats is good for the country,
and you can't do good for the country without beating the Democrats. So you don't want beating the
Democrats to be your entire raise on debt, to your point, but you don't want to divorce those two
things because, you know, beating the Democrats seems kind of mean and icky and doing good for the
country is, you know, as though that were somehow pure. In politics, you've got to beat your
opponent in order to do stuff. So I'm glad that some Republicans are focused on beating,
beating the Democrats. What is the agenda of the populist movement? Well,
the term populism usually is just a term of derision. And very few people would actually say,
I am a populist. So it's usually just a way of attacking someone. But in as much as there is a
populist movement or what is meant by that populist movement, probably that means the Trump movement,
the MAGA movement, and Trump's most vocal supporters in Congress or in the state houses,
what do they want? What's the agenda? And what about their agenda is different from the
establishment Republican movement?
I suppose restoring the traditional American way of life is the broad goal of the populist movement.
Restoring the traditional American way of life.
And so that means a restricting immigration because, to quote Caciguida in the 15th or somewhere in the middle to later cantos of paradise by Dante, immigration ruins cities.
If you have too much immigration, it creates a big problem.
So restrict immigration.
The Republican Party either wants open borders, the real business side of the Republican Party,
or the more moderate side wants a ton of legal immigration, more legal immigration than ever, but less illegal immigration or something.
The populists want immigration restriction.
The populists want a more active protection of industry because while we can sometimes get cheaper goods by sending all manufacturing over to China, that endangers our national security.
that endangers our companies because
Chinese don't really have any respect for intellectual property
and so they steal all of our stuff.
That's actually not good for our corporations.
And it's not good for our industrial base
and it's not good for which ties international security
and it's not good for American families
when especially lower wage workers
just lose all their jobs and their outsource.
So that would be one distinction in the populist movement.
What's another one?
Greater reluctance to engage in adventurism overseas.
The establishment,
wants to go, you know, topple a bunch of countries and be involved in every war around the world.
The populist movement is a little more hesitant to just get involved.
They follow George Washington's advice to avoid entangling alliances, for instance.
And so that's deeply conservative.
That's actually much more traditionally conservative than the modern Republicans.
The list goes on and on.
I think what it comes down to is we want to restore the traditional American way of life,
and we don't want to put the cart before the horse.
Sometimes with the establishment Republicans, it seems like, you know, the body politic is here to serve the economy.
Uh-uh. That's putting the cart before the horse. We want the economy to serve us. And that means maybe sometimes you've got to have the government intervene a little bit. And that's going to irritate the doctrinaire libertarians. Maybe that's going to irritate big business or the Chamber of Commerce. But too bad.
That is what they're after. They're after fixing the birth rate problem, which ties into mass migration. We've been a dying population since 19.
71. So greater support for families, greater financial and political incentives to have kids and to get married.
That would be a part of it. Yeah. Stopping dudes from going into the girls' bathroom. I mean, the list goes on and on and on of items that distinguish conservative populism from the establishment GOP.
And a lot of times in the establishment GOP, the Chamber of Commerce, they're going to say, oh, those are culture war issues. Oh, those don't really matter. Oh, it's crazy to intervene in the economy. Or, oh, tariffs don't work because they learned the word mercantilism in 7th.
grade and they think they know everything about the economy. Or, you know, foreign policy,
don't get me started. But there is an agenda, you know, I mean, there are things that we want.
That's what, that's what makes the movement. So do they show boat sometimes? Yeah, they show boat
sometimes because they don't really have a ton of political power. And so to do anything at all,
you got to beat the Democrats. It might seem icky, but that's what you got to do. Okay, there's a lot more,
because I've been windy on my mailbag answers, there's a lot more voicemail bag to get to. There's a
written mailbag to get to. It's fake headline Friday. I need your help on that.
