Dr. Fauci took a break from writing diary entries about how great he is to testify on Capitol Hill yesterday, where he pled the fifth, despite receiving a blanket presidential pardon for his crimes. And now there is, I don't want to overstate it. but there is a teensy tiny little chance that Dacta Fauci might actually spend some time in jail. Then a socialist holds a double-digit lead in the Wisconsin Democrat gubernatorial primary. The socialist mayor of New York floats cash reparations for slavery in a city filled mostly with immigrants.

Some porn lady convinces the entire internet that she is a political influencer, which unfortunately says a lot more about political influencers than it does about her. And a lot more. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Nulls show. Welcome back to the show. The Democrat nominee James Talerico says he has learned as much about his faith from Muslims as he has has from Christians. Never mind that Muslims would certainly throw James Tala Rico off a rooftop.

It really raises even more red flags in a man who is essentially a giant walking red flag. Maybe a rainbow flag too. Like a red tinted rainbow flag. We'll get to Tala Rico in a second. First, though, we've got to start out with our buddy, Dr. Fauci, who is called to testify on Capitol Hill, a very, very seriously anticipated testimony in this hearing called by RANN. Paul. Rand Paul has been one of the great antagonists of Dr. Fauci. So he was going to be asked about all of the contradictions between what he said during COVID, what he said under oath in some cases during COVID, and all of the private diary entries that he was writing, all of the memoranda of conversations he had with the intelligence community, also during COVID because Dr. Fauci was lying. He was saying one thing to you and one thing to his diary.

and to bureaucrats and to spies. So this is not just raking Fauci over the coals because he got COVID wrong. This is specifically holding him to account for the duplicitous things he said. At the very same time during COVID, he was saying one thing out of one side of his mouth, one thing out of another.

We remember Dr. Fauci has actually admitted to lying. You remember early on during COVID, Dr. Fauci said there was no need for people to wear masks At the same time, he was saying people should wear masks. Now, it actually probably didn't matter if anyone was wearing masks. So he was wrong about that. But he was wrong and also lying. He later came out and said, well, yeah, the reason I told the public not to wear masks is I wanted to save the masks for the healthcare workers.

So I lied to the public because I didn't want them to go out and buy all the masks because I wanted to save all the masks for the healthcare workers. So even though Fauci was wrong about the masks, it turns out putting a hanky over your face doesn't stop the transmission of a virus. regardless, he was lying. He knew he was lying. It was an intentional act of deception. And that was the tip of the iceberg. So what did he say in response to these questions? Dr. Fauci pled the fifth. Here is Senator Josh Hawley having a great deal of fun with the shifty-eyed, dishonest-looking Dr. Fauci. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Well, nothing says honesty like taking the fifth, huh, Doc? Let's try something. What day the week is it today?

On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution. What color tie you're wearing? Let's just get one thing straight. you don't have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you've been pardoned, as you very well know, as a Supreme Court has been clear for a century and more, Brown v. Walker, 1896, when he has been

pardoned, he may not stand upon his privilege. You know that. Your lawyer is sitting behind you, now shifting nervously in their chairs. They know it. This isn't about the Constitution. This isn't about the law. This is about contempt. Contempt for this body and contempt for the American people. Ah, this is what really separates Hawley. This is what separates the men. from the boys, and this separates what Hawley is doing here from the usual circus that we see at congressional and Senate testimony. Fouchy comes in, and he decides he's going to plead the fifth. The Fifth Amendment gives you a right against self-incrimination. And a lot of people do this, and pleading the fifth does not necessarily imply guilt. There's a reason that we have that right

under the Constitution, and plenty of people have pled the Fifth for good reasons and justifiable reasons. What's different here with Fauci, though, is that he can't incriminate himself if he tells the truth to the Senate. He's under oath, so he has to tell the truth. If he lies under oath, he could incriminate himself. He could, sorry, I should say, he could commit a crime that is not covered by his blanket pardon. Joe Biden gave him a blanket pardon for any crimes he may or may not have committed over the court. of what was it, 10 years. And this was an unprecedented kind of pardon. Joe Biden issued this to his own son, to other members of his family who were very corrupt, to a bunch of other people. That was unprecedented.

The presidential pardon power is immense. And there's not really a check on it. That's how the system was built. However, traditionally in America, you pardon a particular person for a particular crime. Now, Jimmy Carter changed that a little bit. Jimmy Carter pardoned, I actually even before Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon. But Richard Nixon never acknowledged his own guilt for whatever the kind of overblown crime was of covering up a break-in that he didn't actually know about. Okay, that's where it starts to get a little murky. Then with Jimmy Carter, you have Jimmy Carter pardoning the draft Dodgers in Vietnam. So he was not pardoning particular people.

He never specified which people exactly he was pardoning, but he was pardoning them for a particular crime. Joe Biden takes this to the most absurd extreme, which is that he's pardoning people without specifying any crimes over a 10-year period. And now it's unclear if Joe Biden even signed those pardons. It might have been an auto-pen pardon. The very nature of the pardons is kind of dubious. But nevertheless, nobody is seriously challenging that Dr. Fauci, was pardoned for every crime he committed for a long period of time all the way up to the moment Joe Biden leaves office. However, if Dr. Fauci lies under oath to the Senate in the big two six,

that would be another crime. So Dr. Fauci could have gone to the Senate and answered truthfully and said, yeah, okay, you're right, I did contradict myself in my diary. Yeah, I did contradict what I told the public when I was speaking to the CIA or the FBI. Yeah, I did do all of that. Would have made Fouchi look really, really bad. But he would not have incriminated himself because he's covered for all. He would be covered for perjury if it was within that period that Joe Biden pardoned him for. He didn't want to tell the truth. So instead of telling the truth or lying and committing another crime, he pleads the fifth. And Hawley is is having a lot of fun with this. And he says, oh, yeah, what colors the sky? What colors your tie? What day of the week is it? Fouchy pleads the fifth.

starts to get him to sweat, starts to get the lawyers to sweat. And then Holly drops the hammer. This isn't just a circus to humiliate Fauci. He says, hey, buddy, you don't have a right in this circumstance to plead the fifth. The Supreme Court has already ruled on this 120 years ago, 130 years ago. What you are doing right now is not exercising your constitutional rights. You're expressing contempt of Congress, which means that if the Senate so chooses, they can hold Fauci and contempt of Congress, which is the same thing that Congress did to Steve Bannon, when Steve Bannon refused to play ball with them. Steve Bannon went to jail for that. I would not bet that Dr. Fauci is going to go to jail. He'll weasel out of it. He is a masterful bureaucrat. This guy knows

how to work the system better than anybody in the country. However, what Hawley has done here is open up at least the tiniest sliver of possibility that Fauci could have committed a crime a misdemeanor, and he could go to jail for it. What is the jail time for that? Up to 12 months, with a fine of up to $100,000. So Fauci made a lot of money during COVID. He made a lot of money based on his new fame that he wrote about extensively in his diaries. But he could be in at least a little tiny bit of legal hot water. Senator Rand Paul, who's leading the charge on Capitol Hill against Dr. Fauci, he grills him as well. For years, Anthony Fauci has been the public face of saying this in all likelihood came from nature.

He kept saying it's the marketplace, it's the marketplace, it's a marketplace. He's been saying that on television up until recently. But what we find is that what he was saying in public is different than what he was saying in private. In January, in private, he wrote that looks like the wet market was a super spreader event. It didn't originate there. We know that some of the earliest deaths and sickness came from somewhere else. else. But then for years and years, we got dishonesty. So let's play the video so we can see a little juxtaposition of the problem we're dealing with. Wet markets in Asia where people bring

animals from the forest into a market, there are wet markets in Wuhan that are ample opportunity to provide us to jump from an animal. The origin was from back to an entity, opposed to human, very likely. You remember all of this during COVID. was the wet market, the wet market, bad batch of bad soup, don't eat raw pangolin. At the same time, though, he was privately acknowledging the lab leak theory.

And he was trying to suppress people who were pushing that, which almost certainly is where the virus came from. So for the period that is covered by Fauci's pardon, he might have perjured himself twice, one, by saying that he never funded gain of function research in Wuhan, which is not true.

He did, he personally funded gain of function. He personally, using his power over funds at the federal government, funded gain of function research in Wuhan, the exact kind of viral research that would have led to a lab leak. But Fauci is going to weasel out of that because he narrowed the definition beyond the pale such that he could try to avoid saying that he perjured himself. But then he much more clearly perjured himself later on when he said he didn't talk to the intelligence community. This was in June 3rd of 2024. were. He said he didn't talk to the intelligence community about these various theories with COVID. And then he tried to walk back a little bit later in the same testimony there is much stronger case that he perjured himself. But the question of whether or not Fauci will face consequences or even go to jail

really doesn't hinge on any of that. That's the context of it. He lied. He lied to you many, many times during COVID. But it's what happened yesterday. So I know a lot of people get frustrated with the congressional testimony because you get good clips for the senators and the congressman's re-election campaigns, but usually there aren't any consequences that follow from it. Regardless of what happens, there is at least a chance that there could be a consequence from yesterday's testimony if Fauci is held in contempt. Now, moving on from the grilling is on Capitol Hill to the bubbling, budding, radical politicians who are winning, potentially winning races around the country, the leading Democrat candidate for the next governor of Wisconsin is an avowed

There are, what is it, four candidates, Democrat candidates for governor in Wisconsin. The current governor of Wisconsin, Tony Evers, is a Democrat.

There are a bunch of other Democrats running now. New poll from Marquette University Law School shows that Francesca Hong, the socialist candidate for governor of Wisconsin, is in the lead. And she's not just a little bit in the lead. She has a double-digit lead. She's in first place at 38% in this Democrat field. Former Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes is at second place with 16%. So the socialist has more than double the support of the second-place person who's the former lieutenant governor.

Then you got the Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley at 7% all the other candidates had less than 5% support. 34% undecided. What this tells you is that the socialist candidates are running. stronger than the ordinary supposedly non-socialist candidates in the Democrat Party. This is backed up by another poll that came out two or three weeks ago, which showed that the Democrat Socialists of America have a greater support among rank-and-file Democrat voters than do Democrat lawmakers in Congress. The socialism is strong with the Democrat Party. And some people are going to

quibble over whether we call these candidates socialists or Democratic socialists. That is a ridiculous distinction. The distinctive part of that identity of Democratic Socialist is the Socialist part. Democratic Socialist just means a socialist who wins elections. But the operative part of that moniker, the part that tells you about the candidate's ideology, is just socialist. But they know that the word socialist alone is toxic in America. So they add this adjective before it. It's a democratic socialist. This is how the left always wields language to try to use euphemisms, to try to soften the blow. You see this with the politically correct or something like that.

You know, they always use that adverb to weaken, to soften the real heart of the matter. But here, it's socialism. Socialism is rising up in the Democrat Party. And there's a ton of evidence, and you could see this play out with the election of lawmakers. The reason this is happening, I know a lot of people are scratching their head. heads are saying, how could it be that the Democrat Party is embracing socialism overtly? The reason that's happening right now is not some sudden change in the Democrat Party. It's like Ernest Hemingway points out in, well, the sun also rises, I think. You know, you go bankrupt gradually, then suddenly. This is really a gradual process. The Democrats have been pretty overtly

socialist since Obama. You wouldn't say that Bill Clinton was a socialist. He wasn't. And in some he instituted more capitalist reforms and changed his party, much like Tony Blair did in the UK. He was labor, but he was new labor. So he was leaning away from the socialist elements of the left and embracing more of the neoliberal elements, more of the capitalist elements. Same goes for Al Gore. You wouldn't really call Al Gore a socialist. You'd call him a lot of things. I got a lot of adjectives to describe Al Gore. But you wouldn't really call him a socialist. John Kerry, he's not really a socialist. He's sort of like Thurston Howell III, you know. mostly cares about where to park his yacht off of Martha's Vineyard, but he wasn't a socialist.

It's really when you get to Obama that you get the socialism. Not just in his economic policies, obviously he was very overtly promoting socialist health care. But he also gets to the more spiritual and deeper aspects of socialism, which is envy. It's really about envy. It's really about resentment. It's really about a grievance against one's own country. It speaks to a lack of patriotism, a turn away from. from love of nation, a love of political community, toward a kind of class-based warfare,

and identification with the class that transcends nations. In any case, that's the beginning of the socialist turn. And you've never really gotten away from it. Hillary went down. Hillary definitely had more socialist tendencies than her husband, but she went down. Joe Biden was not even really the president. That White House was being run by the younger staff, which was much more socialist leaning. And in in 2028, we'll see who the candidate is going to be. But right now, the leading candidate's probably AOC, who is a self-identified socialist. And the candidate, even all the way back in 2016, who had a lot of popular support, so much so that the Democratic Party establishment had to smack him down was Bernie Sanders, also a self-identified socialist. So this has been building

for a long, long time. And when you look at most Democrats today, perhaps with the exception of a John Federman, previously you would have said a Joe Manchin or Christian cinema, but they're both of politics now. With the exception of John Federman, you see basically unanimity on the prominent mainstream left for the Democrats, which is this rise of socialism. So nobody should be surprised by this. This is happening in Wisconsin. It's happening at the national level in polls. It's certainly happening in New York. The mayor of New York is a self-described socialist. And so turning to New York, Mr. Mamdani, Mamdani going viral right now because in an interview with the root, Mom Dani just expressed with some, you know, trepidation and some conditions and some

political weasley language. Nevertheless, he expressed support for current day reparations for slavery, which was abolished over 150 years ago. If a commission studying reparations in this city recommended cash reparations for people impacted, in New York City, would you support that recommendation? First, I want to say that I stand by what I submitted. Yes. It's the truth. It's not a personal assessment. And we often think about slavery and the complicity in slavery as being exclusively to certain geographic areas of the country.

Here in New York City, we were very complicit. And so I look forward to whatever those findings are. I can't give you an answer in advance of them. But I can tell you that this is critically important because this is also what it looks like. is also what it looks like to acknowledge what history truly was. Critically important to, at the very least, take seriously reparations for slavery. Now, I want to translate. On this show, I often like to translate political language into what it really means, away from the politically correct woke euphemisms that we were just talking about.

Reparations for slavery means dimitude for white people. That's what it means. That's actually what they're talking about here. They're saying that we will wield the law to disadvantage white people and to advantage non-white people. That's all it means. It has nothing to do with history. Any historical argument that you hear about this, it is ancillary. It's a little ornament on top of what the subject really is, which is dimmitude for white people.

We already have legal punishments for white people simply for being white. That's called affirmative action. You see this in university admissions and in hiring. But we also have a cultural dimitude for white people in as much as white people are the only people. It's the only race of people that you are culturally permitted and even encouraged to insult, to disadvantage. When it comes to the legal discrimination, Asians also fall into that camp too. Legally, you can discriminate against Asians, very famously, infamously in university admissions. That's why there was the Harvard Supreme Court case about that. But culturally, it's only white people. It is not acceptable. It is not encouraged to discriminate against Asian people, even if the law says that you can.

But in the case of Zoran Mamdani's embrace of slavery reparations, the real nature of the reparations debate becomes so much clearer because two-thirds of New Yorkers are immigrants or the children of immigrants. The vast majority of New Yorkers have no connection to the history of slavery. Slavery was abolished in the mid-19th century. We are in the big two-six. Now, in certain parts of the country, you have a lot of people who trace their roots all the way back to the 19th century, some further back to the 18th century or the 17th century, maybe all the way back to the Mayflower, which is a great cigar brand, by the way. But in New York City, you, You don't really have that.

Two-thirds of New Yorkers just got here. Just got here. Mom Donnie is an immigrant. What on earth does he know? What connection does he have to American slavery? None whatsoever. By the way, two-thirds of New Yorkers are immigrants or the children of immigrants. What if you go back one extra generation?

What if you include immigrants, children of immigrants? That would only take you back to. what, the 50s, the 1950s? What if you include the fourth generation to take you back to, I don't know, the 30s or the 20s? What if you include the fifth generation to take you back to the turn of the century or the late 19th century? What if you include the sixth generation of immigrants, which still doesn't take you back to slavery? That's like all New Yorkers. I talk about it. I was just mentioning my cigar line, Mayflower cigar is based on my family because despite my swerthy appearance, I'm roughly the same color as Zohran Mamdani, thanks to the Sicilians,

but I do trace some of my lineage back to the Mayflower and to Jamestown. Basically, the only time that someone in New York has a connection to the Mayflower or Jamestown is when I go visit New York again. Okay? It is just, it is truly a city of immigrants or people who came here long after the legacy of slavery. So it has nothing to do with that historical connection. Furthermore, just consider what happens over the course of history, even in principle. Let's say a guy is half black, half white.

Does he owe money for reparations or does he receive money for reparations? It's very unclear. What if a guy traces his ancestry back to Jefferson Davis and to Harriet Tubman? Does he owe money for reparations? Does he receive money for reparations? Let's go even further than that. Let's not talk about people who are biracial or who have a drop of this blood or that blood.

Let's say that you got a guy in New York or California or any of these other places talk about reparations. Let's say that you got a guy who is black as night. We are talking Congo, ebony and obsidian. Let's say that that guy is black as can be. There is still a chance that he traces his lineage back to a slaveholder. And the silliest but illustrative example of this

goes back to the first man to be declared and arbitrarily declared slave for life. There were people who were declared slaves for life for crimes as a kind of punishment for some criminal offense. But the first guy to be declared a slave for life just because, not because he committed a crime, was a guy named John Kayser in Virginia. And do you know who made him a slave? Do you know who was his slave master? a black guy named Anthony Johnson from Angola. So this is one of these ironies of history that the first guy who would be called a slave master in the real sense of that term,

not indentured servitude, not owning a man in his property for some crime or offenses he's committed. But like in the real sense of a slave master, the first real slave master in America was a black guy. So the entire principle of reparations for slavery is absurd. But the absurdity of it comes out all the more so in New York from an immigrant mayor, none of which have any connection to the legacy of slavery. This is just about dimmitude for white people.

I won't even say her name because I want to promote her business. People are missing real important context. It tells you a lot about our political class. legs spread, cleavage out, and she's man spreading, but she's a lady, so it's very odd. And she's sitting in front of an American flag with a microphone in front of her. It looks like every right-wing podcast studio, except that the girl is sitting in an obscene way. Now, I've seen this clip pop up a billion times with all the people complaining about it.

I could not tell you a single thing she's said, which actually gives us a lot of insight into why our framers crafted the First Amendment to outlaw obscenity. But nevertheless, all these people are complaining about this chick. Can you believe Khan Inc. and the Republican establishment is what absolutely detritus, you know, that they're now just playing. It's basically pornography. And the point that a lot of people are missing about this girl is, as far as I can tell, she just is a porn actress. She isn't a political commentator. They're misunderstanding this. She's just a porn actress. She's like an only fan's girl. And one of her performances, one of the roles that she is playing,

is as a political influencer. in part, perhaps, to rile up the right wangers. But I think in part because that is our culture now. Political influencers have grown enormously in prominence. That's a lot of the content we watch. Back in the 90s, people turned on TV and watched Friends or Frazier. Now, people don't watch as much TV. They just scroll on their phones and they watch political influencers. Maybe they listen to political podcasts. Podcasts at this point are like listening to the gramophone. They seem almost outdated. and traditional compared to where a lot of the political content is, which is just these influencers making 60-second reels, increasingly provocative, increasingly vulgar, and increasingly obscene.

A lot of the female influencers are, they're not just looking nice while they give you a political message. The looking nice, the kind of sultry and visual part of it, is like 90%, and the politics is just added on top. For a comparison, this lady is pretty. playing a political influencer to do her porn in the same way that like a 70s porno would have featured a lady playing a nurse or something. But the nurse now is a political influencer. And think about this. I mean, in a way, good for her. It's not actually good for her. It's bad for her and everybody else that she's doing porn and only fans should be extinguished and we should pass serious laws curtailing obscenity and obscenity is not protected by the First Amendment.

is not protected by the First Amendment, as I just mentioned, because it undermines speech. The reason that fraud and fighting words and obscenity and things like that are not protected by the First Amendment is because they are things that resemble speech that actually undermine speech. And the point of the First Amendment is to encourage speech. But the reason fraud, for instance, is not protected is because you don't protect lies. If lies are protected by the law, then you can't trust what anybody says. And so you've actually undermined speech. If obscenity is protected by the law, obscenity appeals to the prurian interest. Nobody's listening to the speech because you're appealing to the most bestial, animalistic parts of a human person.

So it's something that resembles speech that actually undermines speech. And so nobody knows what this chick has actually said. But the fact that you can't tell the difference, that to me is the real value of this performance. An unwitting and accidental value of this performance. But that's the value. It tells you that a lot of the actual... political commentators are offering you porn.

Consider what a lot of the podcasts and the influencers, what they're actually providing to you. In many cases, it's chicks just like, you know, showing off a little too much skin. And even whether it's a woman or a man, what are they actually offering you? Are they offering you insight into political matters?

Are they engaging you in the civic project? Are they making you think differently about philosophy and culture and religion? Or are they just dealing in gossip and detraction and slander and wrath and obscenity and like lust and sex and stuff it's not it's not limited to lust and sex it's all of these other vices and all of these sins as well in other words the fact that this chick has gone viral and nobody can tell the difference and nobody can realize that she's actually just a porn actress who's playing a role here

tells you something brutal about our political order which is that our our political order right now, at least our political media, our political influencers, are essentially doing porn. The ones who are getting the most views are essentially doing some kind of porn, whether it's literal, like sexual porn or whether it's some other kind of vice that in any case undermine speech and civil society. Not good, not good. What she's doing is not good and she should cut it out and we should pass laws to make her cut it out. But she's not the biggest problem here. The biggest problem is all of the other political influencers and commentators and pundits and even politicians who are doing porn and who are being even less honest about it. Okay.

Now see Spider-Man. The face with a threat. I can be anyone on the biggest screen possible. You got a couple of big. I don't know if you're the real Spider-Man. I promise that I would keep you saying. Fine. Spider-Man, brand new day. Now playing. Speaking of politics and immorality, I do want to get to James Talarico, who is embracing his inner Muslim. First, though, my favorite comment yesterday is from Lily Elise, who says, Michael, my boyfriend said that he found your takes annoying and incorrect. Needless to say, he's not my boyfriend anymore. Before we get, I have a special guest coming on in just a moment. Before we get to that, though, James Teller Rico. James Teller Rico is just the gift that keeps on giving. Senate Democrat nominee in Texas. He says he's Christian. They're running him because he looks vaguely like a straight white guy who's Christian. You know, he looks vaguely normal at a time when all. the Democrat candidates are these socialist, Ugandan Muslims trying to take all of your money and

abolish prisons and open the borders, where they're just, they're so overtly radical that they're trying to run a guy who seems like a normal white guy, Christian. But whenever he talks about Christianity, he says, he said he hates Christianity. He said that God is non-binary. He very, very sacrilegiously, you invoked the Blessed Virgin Mary to promote abortion. I mean, this is a dark guy. Anyway, the latest hit from him, thanks to RNC research, is that he's learned more about his faith from Muslims than from Christians. I know personally that I've learned as much about my faith from Salman's tradition, from the Islamic mystics, from poets like Rumi, as much as I have from Christian authors and Christian writers. He's learned more about his faith from Muslims than he has from Christian writers.

He's learned more about his faith, whatever that is, from, you know, Said Qutib than he has from St. Paul. That's a curious statement to make. It'd be one thing. I'm trying to be as charitable and not strut me and the guy. It'd be one thing to say you've learned something about your faith through the encounter of other writings. I guess that's true. I have learned something about Christianity by reading about Islam. by reading the Quran, by reading about other Islamic writers, medieval Islamic writers. I've learned

about Christianity by reading parts of the Talmud. That's very interesting. By reading Jewish writers, and even by reading non-theistic writers, you know, by reading about the oriental religions. I have learned something about Christianity from that, whether by continuity or by contrast, by reading the pagan philosophers, certainly, Aristotle and Plato. But, but, you know, but to say you've learned as much, well, that's impossible. That cannot be the case. If you are really Christian, and you believe Christianity is true, Christianity, which is a religion famously that makes exclusive claims, it will not allow Christ to be put up in the pantheon of the pagan gods, one among many. No, no, no. Our God is a jealous God. He is the way the truth in the life. There's one way to the

father and it's through the son. If you really believe that, then it is not possible to say you have learned as much about your faith from Said Qutib as you have from St. Paul, St. James, or St. Peter, or Luke, Matthew, Mark, John. You know, it's not possible. Which is just another reminder, not that we need one. James Tallerico is not a Christian in any meaningful sense, at all. And in many ways, he is much more anti-Christian. I guess you couldn't possibly say you have learned as much about Christianity from Muslim writers as you have from Christian writers. That's an illogical

statement. You could, however, say, though, that a Zohran Mamdani is closer to Christianity than James Talariko. You could say that a Jew or a Muslim is closer to Christianity than James Talarico, because James Talariko's entire religious project, based on his public

statements, is an overt hostility and undermining of Christianity. in a way that a Jew might say, well, look, I don't believe Christianity, but I'm not, my whole project isn't to destroy or disprove or pervert Christianity. A Muslim would say the same thing, could say the same thing. James Tallerico, not so. James Tala Rico is the least Christian candidate running for office right now in the country. Okay. Now, speaking of our political order, where we're at, what the future looks like, I am speaking to a man who's kind of a crystal ball. He actually has been press on a lot of important political issues going all the way back to what,

2010, 2011. That would be my friend, Glenn Beck. I am now very pleased to be joined by my friend, a man who needs no introduction, the inimitable. So don't introduce me. I don't introduce him. Don't do it. Garth Brooks. No, actually, Glenn, I have to tell you, I was just with father Dan Rehill, who's an exorcist in Nashville, and he's a great sort of communicator, and he's got a show, and he's a great media, you know,

apologist as well. But he kind of looks like you. And so I don't know, it's you, Garth Brooks and Father Rehill are all kind of in my mind. We're one person. Have you ever seen at a party at the same time? I haven't. I haven't. Good point. By the way, did you see the story? I don't remember who reported it that Tucker Carlson went to the, was talking to somebody wanted to do an exorcism on it? Yeah, was this Rod Dreher or? I think it was Rod or Mark I don't even know if it's. Yeah, I didn't talk. That's who it was.

And I don't know the credibility behind it. But I just, I didn't know if you had heard anything. Because he said it felt a little like witchcraft. And I'm like, exorcism is really pretty clear. Yeah. It's in the Bible, actually, you know, like Jesus does it. Yeah, yeah. I know.

I'm very, I'm very pro. If someone's offering you an exorcist, just, you know, just to be safe. Just take it. Just, just it's done. There's no hard. No vowel. Yes. Go ahead.

Go ahead. Work it. On this point, I did. So I want to get to your new book or a slightly older book with this new amazing audio book production chasing everything. Before we get to that, I want to pick your brain on not just the conservative media, but like the conservative landscape looking ahead past midterms 2028 because you kind of invented conservative new media and you don't really get credit for it.

But sometimes we get credit at Daily Wire. You beat us by like four years. or something. There were more. I mean, you really were the pioneer of this. So you saw the future of where the right was going, especially in the millions of dollars to be that early. It was a mistake, Michael. You might have wished you were a little later, actually, to the idea. But the idea, eventually the time for the idea came. And so looking ahead to 2008, there's this whole horse race that seems to be playing out in the conservative media between Vance and Rubio. I think it's all kind of made up, but Vance, Rubio, there was some poll that came out. DeSantis showed up in the poll. Ted Cruz showed up in the

poll. Rand Paul might run. There's all this debate between the neo-conservative faction, the populist faction, the libertarian faction. You know, plus ashaunch, plu Sala-MM-shows. What is your just 30,000-foot view of the state of conservatism looking ahead into 2028? There's a couple of things. First of all, if you want to talk about the state of cons, the state, It's a state of podcasting and the state of the media. I think it's all going to change again. I have the same feeling I did in 2010 when I'm like, television is over.

It's time to move to the internet and do live podcasting on the internet, which what hadn't been done as a network. And I have the same feeling. I don't know when it's coming, but it's coming. It's going to be a dramatic change. And I haven't pinned it down yet, but I have that same feeling about it. This is all going to change. So stay tuned because I don't know what that means, but when I figure it out, I'll tell you, because I'd like you on that boat.

But I certainly want to be on that boat. No, and I feel that. Again, I like, I can't quite articulate it, but I feel it. You know, when you have the kind of old. Go ahead. I'm sorry to interrupt you. When you have the kind of older voices and figures starting to say like, you know, we've got to get into this podcasting. that's how you know it that's over and there's something new is happening i don't know i don't know what

the new thing is i agree with you on that but yes so i think it is i think it is it's my feeling is you know ass and elbows and opinions everybody has it um and i think that that's over i mean i'm tired of the clickbait i'm tired of all of the opinions i'm looking more for facts and depth yeah um you provide a lot of that when you're going much deeper than what everybody else is doing. I don't need anybody's hot take anymore. I don't care about anybody's hot take. The reactions. Yeah, I totally agree. Correct. And so we're in this place to where something is coming, but it's authentic, it's real, it's deep. Yeah. And it's not playing the games of, you know, game. Not the honest question of what's coming in 2028, but the game of what's coming in 2028. Does that make sense to you? Yeah, no, it does. It actually relates perfectly

to the point on the presidential race or some candidates or whatever, which is, is it, it does seem like there's something happening in the political media that is entirely disconnected from the actual political order. And so, yeah, you're not getting depth, you're not getting in sight. I think, though, that the entire political system is disconnected on all sides. Yeah. You know, The only ones that really have a clue, but they're lying to you, is the socialists. The socialists are talking about where people are living right now. You don't know what's going on. It seems completely unfair.

The system is broken. I can't afford my bills. And no one in the Democrats or the Republicans are actually addressing that. Donald Trump is, you know, he fixed the leak. they fixed the pipe in 2016. But he fixed it with tape because he had to fix it quickly. He thought he had another term. He's not fixing the pipe with tape this time.

He's replumbing the entire house. And so it's like, you know, it's that moment in the money pit where they buy this house and it's great. This is we're the one. The house is Donald Trump. We're the ones who bought this house and it's great. It's going to be great. It's going to be beautiful. I can't believe we got it.

It's finally our dream house. and then it's a money pit and nothing is being fixed and you're spending all this time. You're like, they're never going to fix it. Why aren't they fixing it? And they get a divorce or they're headed for divorce right when it's finished. That's the situation we're in. Everybody's giving up because they're like, what is he doing? I don't have a house.

They keep making promises, but I don't have it. He's fixing it. He's fixing the house. But he's doing all the things you don't want to do that will make your life, miserable for a while. That's a conversation that he's not having with the American people. He's completely redoing the house. And he's doing it because he knows if I don't do that, whatever fix I make through

executive order, it will be changed the minute I leave. So I have to fix the structure of everything. I have to replumb. I have to re-electrify the house. And then I have to repoint the foundations. So he's doing all of this. which he won't get credit for until he's gone, I think. Right.

And that's when people will realize, oh, crap, he's just redesigned the entire world without the economic forum. That's, you know what I mean? It's a great point, including on the threat that we're all going to get divorced before the house is fixed. Yeah. And you say, no, guys, just stop it. Wait, just wait one second. Right. Because nobody, everybody is playing the short game.

Yeah. And everybody is also playing for their own team. I want Vance. I want Rubio. I want the person that understands what he's doing. I'm not saying he's doing everything perfectly, but what he's doing, he is truly putting America first. And he's doing really hard things that nobody, why are we in Iran? We're in Iran because of nuclear weapons.

Yes. But we're also in Iran right now for the pipelines that they wouldn't build without a crisis. we're taking away the choke points and we're controlling the choke points over against our enemies in China and in the Middle East. We're taking control or neutralizing the choke points

here and over there. I had dinner with the prime minister of the Czech Republic. I was over there a few months ago. And it's clear. They know exactly. I said, what is Donald Trump doing, do you suppose? I knew what I thought he was doing

he thought the same thing he said he's repositioning the entire world all of the power will be in north america and in your hemisphere that's exactly what he's doing okay they know it that's why he's not real popular with a lot of people right but we have to get off of the team of i don't care who i don't care who does it do you understand we cannot go back to playing political games back and forth In some ways, the political games with Donald Trump work to his advantage because it's, yeah, look, and I just said this over here. I just said this over here and this hand over here is doing something entirely different. Yeah. If they were talking about how he's restructuring the whole world, he wouldn't be able to do it.

Right. Yeah. There is sort of necessarily selling the war in Iran, whether you support the war in Iran or oppose the war in Iran, necessarily you're not going to be talking about China. You're not going to be talking about Russia. You're not going to be talking about grand strategy. Choke points. Choke points and revengeism in the Western Hemisphere. Yes, yeah, yeah.

And the point on structural changes is the key. Because it's also why the socialists are really speaking to the moment right now, at least to a lot of people, is they are speaking about structural issues in a pretty tangible way, whereas the Republicans and the Democrats flop on it. Right. They're talking about structural issues. that affect people at the kitchen table.

What Donald Trump is doing is structural issues that will affect you at the kitchen table in five years. Yeah, right. There's a huge difference. And one is an actual structural difference that sets America up for decades of winning. And the other one is a quick, we're going to take care of your pain,

and then it gets really ugly. Yeah, right, right, of course. That really, really good point. And regardless, when you're dealing with, when you're dealing with structural changes, what that means is you're in a new era. You're playing a new game, whether you're talking about the media or whether you're talking about the actual elected officials. I know I said we're going to talk about your book. Who is this they're talking about? What was that event in history to try to get people to look into our history a little bit?
