I guess before we get to any of this, I really want to get to this Cambridge professor. This is the worst academic scandal in history. And it's really not about the guy. I mean, this is Professor Jesse Smollett times a billion. Jesse Smollett seems downright

credible compared to the claims that this guy made, and he somehow still got hired at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. This really says a lot more about the universities than it does about this scam artist. First, though, I guess there's some kind of breaking news that I have to address because it involves me. I woke up this morning to the information. I was now first informed the first I'm hearing of it that I have been volunteered to be a debate moderator over the murder of Charlie Kirk. I was volunteered by Andrew Wilson, who is a right-wing debate guy. I'm sure you've seen him online. He offered, I guess he was proposing a debate with Candice over the killing of Charlie and some of the conspiracy theories about it. So I was volunteered for this by Andrew. And then Candice accepted me as the moderator. It's great, I guess, that I'm like such a nice guy that I have been volunteered for this service without anyone checking with me at any point in that. So anyway, I don't know, that's percolating on social media right now.

I've, I'm truly, it's the first I'm hearing of it. So I haven't made a decision over whether or not that's a good idea. I don't, you know, my view on the conspiracy theories generally is I don't think it's the right thing to debate in public. You know, I kind of think that the murder of Charlie Kirk will be adjudicated in a court of law, not in the court of public opinion. And I think that the defense of Tyler Robinson will present its case and the prosecution will present its case. We've already heard a lot of this in the pretrial hearings. So, anyway, I haven't made a decision on that if you have some strong opinion about whether or not I should do that. Please do let me know. There's a kind of dark humor that comes out of the fact that the right wing has been debating burritos for the last few days. And a lot of that has come into the right wingers all talking about these terrible jobs that they've all had to work. You know, working three jobs overtime to afford food as they were coming up. And we were all kind of joking about it. Oh, my first job was this. My first job. job was that. My first job was as a subway sandwich artist when I was 14, and I really liked

the job as kind of a hard job. We're all joking about it. And now I've been volunteered for maybe the worst job in all of media. So anyway, let me know if you think that's a good idea, if this sort of thing one should do or one should not do. Speaking of jobs, this Cambridge professor, former Cambridge professor now, Professor Jason Ardei, has just been exposed as the worst scammer in the history of the academy. And there are a lot of scammers in the academy, but this one is pretty wild. This guy, Jason Arde, was much fetid because in 2023, he became the youngest black professor to have been appointed to Cambridge. Cambridge, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. Ardei was, until very recently, the professorial chair

in the sociology of education. That was a red flag. right off the bat. The sociology of education, that's one of the faker pseudo-academic disciplines out there. But Cambridge should have caught this one a little bit earlier. Because here are some of the claims that Ardei has made in his biography. He claimed to have been diagnosed with autism at the age of three. He claimed to have been non-verbal, so he didn't speak until age 11, then illiterate, struggling to spell his own name until the age of 18. Now, this very prestigious professor, that was quite a turnaround. He said that he helped to raise millions and millions of dollars for charity through all sorts of athletic feats by running 300 miles and three days,

600 miles and six days. This makes the ancient Greek story of marathon really puts it to shame. A guy runs, just one marathon and one day dies by the end of it to give a non-year-es. news of a battle. And this guy was running 30 marathons and 35 days. Apparently the last nine marathons, he ran with a broken leg. He claimed to have honorary visiting professorships at universities, including the Ohio State University in the U.S., Ohio State, which then denied that claim. And all of these claims didn't seem to have a shred of evidence to them. He was then caught plagiarizing. He apparently plagiarized his doctoral dissertation, nearly 200 sentences, verbatim from another student at a different institution. He didn't cite his works properly,

which kind of makes sense since he was making everything up. And the journal Social Sciences reportedly had to revise an article of his from 2018 to add citations to show, quote, where ideas were adapted from past research. So this, I think, is key. It's not just that this guy was making up a ton We'll get into some more of his absurd claims about himself. But I really want to focus on the universities and the academic institutions, the journals and all that, because they knew. That's the real hidden story here that is not really being reported on. They knew. They obviously knew. In fact, the fact that this journal comes out and says, oh, you know, we had to fix some of his citations, just to make clear where some of his ideas were adapted from other work, they knew he

was plagiarizing. It was obvious, and they were covering it up. Oh, no, no, it wasn't plagiarism. He just didn't quite correctly cite his sources. And he, you know, he adapted some ideas verbatim. And so they were colluding in this. It's not just that the academic institutions look like idiots, because they were blindsided by this legendary scammer. They clearly knew. knew, but the story was too good. The youngest black professor, they were leaning into the DEI. They wanted it to be true. And so they were colluding and conspiring with his fraud. Now, he made a lot of other claims, too. He claimed to have been a professional or semi-professional athlete in multiple sports. No evidence of that whatsoever. He had to walk back some of those claims.

He also made the full-on Jesse Smollett. He made several claims about physical threats. This, I think, is being reported by the Guardian. He claimed that masked men had shown up to threaten him twice if he wouldn't resign from his professorship. One time, the masked men threatened him at knife point. It's unclear whether or not he was holding his subway sandwich at the time. Now, of course, there's CCTV. We're talking about the United Kingdom. There's CCTV cameras everywhere.

But the CCTV in the buildings at the university, they weren't able to catch the masked intruders. the masked intruders, which may have been more likely a figment of the professor's imagination or an intentional deception more likely. He then told the Guardian that a severed pig's head was sent to his family home. The police had looked into this and they found that a butcher shop in South London had sold a whole pig the morning that the incident occurred. okay, the police told the guardian categorically that that claim was false, that such an investigation had not taken place, that the butcher, which Ardei said the pig had come from, also said they had no recollection of salient pigs. So we are talking about a relentless, pathological liar who is inventing claims that were so absurd that they were debunked within seconds.

Now, Ardei has resigned, but he refuses to accept any guilt. He says the relentless accusation, and public commentary have taken a profound toll on me and those I love. He would not address these specific allegations, like the billions of things he lied about, but he said that his resignation should not be, quote, mistaken for an acceptance of the narratives that have surrounded me. Quote, it is simply the decision of someone who has reached the limits of what any person should reasonably be expected to endure. What? This is worse than Smollett. Smollett. Smollett looks totally credible compared to this guy. The scandal is not about some scammer. The scandal is about the institutions. How could you send your kid to Cambridge after this? How could you? This is so bad.

This is so bad. The fact that Cambridge hired this guy. The fact that Cambridge didn't look into the bazillion red flags about this guy. The fact that Cambridge promoted this guy and didn't demand that he resign immediately and still has not accepted fault for, for, for. for hiring him means that you can, I mean, they should close up shop. Cambridge has had a good long run. They should close up shop after this. This is that bad. But it's not about him because it's not just about this guy.

It's not even just about Cambridge. It's not even about this academic journal. It's really all of the universities. Statistically, all of the universities today have Jason Ardez running around the faculty lounges. we recall, I recall at least, about a decade ago, there was this crisis of the social sciences, specifically of psychology, there was the replication crisis, that half of the psychology papers that have been published recently can't be replicated. They're just nonsense. You look at these departments, the studies departments, women's studies, gay studies, studies, studies,

those are fake academic disciplines, ethnicity, race, and migration studies. That was a new one that showed up to university when I was in school, sociology, all of these departments are full of nonsense. So our day is different from these other liberal professors, not in kind, but just in degree. Most of the professors don't claim to run six marathons and six days on a broken leg. Most of them don't claim to have been illiterate until they were 18. Most of them don't claim to have been professional athletes in multiple sports and to have degrees and appointments from other universities that can easily debunk it and they don't claim to have severed pigs heads sent to their mother's house. But they do make all sorts of wacky claims. They do commit plagiarism.

They do lie about their credentials. They do make up a bunch of nonsense. This is an indictment of the whole modern university system. And right-wingers love Duncan on the universities. They especially love dunking on the humanities. I'm the outlier here. I love the university system. The university system, which emerges in the Middle Ages, out of Christendom and out of the church, is one of the great triumphs of our whole civilization. But it has been so perverted by these people, by the secularists, by the liberals, it's been so perverted that it seems almost unsalvageable at this point. And right now, what they're trying to do is just contain it. No, it was just this guy. It was just our day. It was just at one university. No, it's the whole system. It's the whole system. So they're trying to

contain it. And they're doing that liberal thing that they always do, which is whenever one of their hoaxes is debunked, they say, well, look, okay, it's true, it's true, it's true, it's true, it's true. Okay, maybe it's false, but it speaks to a greater truth. Yeah, all of our false claims about race and sex and victimhood and whatever. It's false, but it points to a greater truth. And then when they can't even push that line anymore, when that's no longer tenable, what they say is, well, the real tragedy of all of this is this is really knocking at the credibility of the institution. The real victims here are the universities. The real victims are the liberals. The real victims are the sociology departments. I don't think so. The real victims here are the students. The real

victims here are your kids. The real victims here are the taxpayers. The real victims here are our societies which trusted universities and academic institutions and people in public authority to help guide the country. And those public authorities have failed. They've worse than failed. They've deceived us. And there needs to be a reckoning for that. Yeah, okay, it's good that RDA resigned.

Do not let it go. That is the tip of the iceberg. There should be a McCarthy-style investigation. I almost want to say witch hunt here for the actual witches, not the fake witches, the actual witches of our academic. institutions, because this is not one fraction of one iota of the corruption in academia. R-Day is not the exception. Our day is the norm.

Well, because, according to the university's website, we believe that covering grades will help students, that covering grades, meaning not giving them grades anymore, they'll just have pass-fail, will help students start strong and curb the mental health. crisis unfolding among college-aged individuals. Our goal is to help first-year students acclimate to the demands of college and allow intrinsic motivations to guide personally meaningful academic journeys, core elements of liberal arts and sciences education. If covered grades are optional, covering an individual's grades will inadvertently become equated with not doing well in a class. If the policy is the same for all students, it is equitable across the board. So it's not just, it's not just that the students don't need to get grades, it's that they're not allowed to get grades. Because if they choose not to get grades, then it's going to be clear what's going on.

These are not good students and they're not getting good grades. If you're getting an A, then you want to get the grade. I remember there's one class. I think you had the, when I was an undergrad, you had the option to take one or two classes past fail. And it was senior year. Last semester, I was busy doing a lot of other things. I was overwhelmed with my coursework and my other work. and I took a class pass fail.

I took the class pass fail because I knew I wasn't going to do well in the class and I said, okay, it's a free option and I'm going to do other work. That's always what that means. So they say, okay, it's not just that you get that option now, but in order to cover up for all the bad students, we're going to make it mandatory.

This is supposedly the most educated generation in history. If you Google, most educated generation in history, it'll say Gen Z. They're in school for longer. They get more degrees, more credentials, more time in the classroom. but you don't judge education by most. Most is not the appropriate adjective to use for education. Because most doesn't necessarily mean best. I'm writing a book on this right now,

actually, based on a commencement speech that I gave. We have the most educated generation, but they don't know anything. They don't know the difference between men and women. And the University of Michigan gets one thing right. There is a mental health crisis unfolding among college-aged individuals. Huge swaths of Gen Z. I think actually the majority of Gen Z reports experiencing an existential crisis. Levels of stress, anxiety, depression are at all-time highs. Now, that's very strange for the most educated generation in history. Because what education is supposed to do for us is to help us to understand the world, to discipline our wills, to make sense of our freedom. That's why we call it the liberal arts. So right all right.

off the bat, you have this incoherence. The most educated generation in history is also the most stressed out facing existential crises, depressed, anxious, going crazy, having mental health crises. One of those things has to be false. Either the education is bad, now would explain the mental health crises, or the mental health crisis is fake and they really are the most educated generation. The former is obviously what's going on here, which means that this is a fundamental problem for the university, for how we educate people. And I think it goes back quite a long ways. I think it goes back to John Henry Newman writing the idea of a university in the 19th century, pointing out that a university is an institution that purports to universal knowledge. But when the universities took God out of the curriculum, when they sort of mocked the idea of God, they removed theology as an essential part of the curriculum. right there, you destroy the university's purpose.

Because the university is at that point saying, we don't have universal knowledge. We're not going to say anything about the ultimate questions. So at that point, the education becomes less a journey to educate oneself, a journey toward wisdom and truth, goodness, and beauty. And it becomes more a cafeteria, a buffet-style offering, where you go and you say, okay, I want a little bit of this, I want a little taste of math, a little taste of history, a little taste of this kind of philosophy.

Philosophy itself ceases to be the pursuit of wisdom, and it becomes just a kind of historical survey. You know, Kant said this, Hegel said that, Aristotle said this, pick whatever you like. It's that the whole educational endeavor has been corrupted, and it's been corrupted, because, ultimately, because they took God out of the curriculum. But the consequence of that, The consequences that young people no longer know what to believe, no longer know that they can believe anything at all, because it introduces a kind of skepticism and relativism into the university that undermines its truth-seeking mission. And furthermore, because the universities have lost their verb in believing they can know anything, they can teach anything, it has supplanted learning with activism. This is why students, and you see this reflected in social scientific data, students are more activist than they ever were. they're told from freshman year, you need to go out there and do something. You need to go change the world.

That's the thesis of every commencement speech now. You go to any commencement speech. They say, all right, now you got to go change the world. But really, they're told that starting in fifth grade, starting in kindergarten. So you've got to go be activists. Go out there in March, protest, change the world. So this emphasis on the will over the intellect also fundamentally undermines and misunderstands how the will and the intellect relate and what education is endeavoring to do. the R-Day issue is a symptom of the whole system. You can see it in the UK, you can see it in the U.S., you can see it throughout the West. Okay, speaking of this new generation, I want to get to future Caliph, Senator Abdul El-Sayed,

indelible memories of this campaign will have been the opportunity to break bread with you at Seder, to worship with you at shul, to embrace, to be embraced by you. And listening to sisters and brothers who said, you know, I want to join this movement because A-PAC doesn't speak for me. Because I understand that self-determination for one people does not require the quenching of self-determination for another people. that unless all of us are free, none of us are free, I want to tell you the great gift that you've given me

and to all of my sisters and brothers of the Jewish faith or any faith at all or no faith at all, I want you to know that my commitment to your safety, my commitment to Jewish safety, is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of a political philosophy that ought to animate us all is,

what would we build? What would we do if we treated all of our kids like they were all of our kids? How would we spend our money? Where would we put our investment? How would we embrace one another? What kind of schools would we build? What kind of health care would we offer? Okay, so he goes into the Democrat, and especially the socialist platitudes there toward the end. But the first part is directly aimed at the Jewish voters. He says, hey, yeah, I know. I said that Israel is just just as evil as Hamas and yeah, no, you guys are a little worried about me. But don't worry. I will care for your safety just as much as I care for the safety of my own daughters. Minor point here. Abdul al-Syad supports men and women's bathrooms.

Abdul al-Syad supports boys and girls' sports. I would not find this very reassuring if I were a Jewish voter, okay? Because this is a guy who does not take seriously the safety of his own daughters on a crucial issue, on an issue that once, kind of like the R-Day scandal, it's a symptom that points to a broader rot, an issue that has really dominated American discourse because it shows the total lack of judgment of the people who embrace this ideology. He thinks that big Husky Hank should go in and strip down naked in the girls' changing room at the public pool. He thinks that a hulking dude should be able to wrestle a woman in sports. Cracker skull in. like you've seen time and time again.

So this specific example that he's using, don't worry, I care for you as much as I care for the safety of my own daughters. That's to say, I don't care for your safety at all. Not a good sign. Not a good sign. Really hope this guy does not become senator. Now, speaking of the rise of Islam in the United States,

Delis-Soney-A, perhaps the preeminent connoisseur of violence in film working today. You're going to love it. You're going to get a real kick out of it. So anyway, get ready for that. Right after the nomination of Abdul El-Said. You're getting these Islamic protests in the streets. Obviously, the rise of Maldanistan in New York. You get a movie that is red dawn for the 21st century.

Okay. Now, speaking of demographic changes and mass migration, all that. Good news coming out of the White House. President Trump has just signed new executive orders on birthright citizenship. Right off the bat, whenever an executive order comes out, people say, conservatives say, well, I wish this were done in legislation. Because what is done with an executive order can be undone very easily with an executive order. Yes, that's true. But the structure of our legislature today is such that you really don't get much of anything done with legislation.

That's not even the fault of the leadership of the House or of the Senate. That's just kind of how the legislature is set up. So the executive has to do some of these things if they're going to be done at. all, but the executive really does not have a ton of power. So President Trump signed the birthright citizenship executive order. That was overturned by the Supreme Court in a very stupid decision, unfortunately, with a misreading of the 14th Amendment and a misreading even of the Juan K. Mark case from the late 19th century. In any case, Trump has not given up. Trump is a fighter. So he's going to keep pushing for this. Because if we permit open birthright citizenship in this day and age with open borders,

with birth tourism, with ease of travel, with Democrats who are encouraging an invasion of our country. If we do that, then we don't really have a country anymore. We don't really have sovereignty. So what do these executive orders do? He's trying to observe the Supreme Court decision, recognizing they're just going to smack it down if he does the same one again, but still try to get what we can get. So he has narrowed the birthright citizenship orders to exclude alien enemies. He's daring the Supreme Court. He's saying, are you really going to come out and say that the children of Alien enemies, people who are specifically designated as enemies of the United States, that they have a right to just show up here one day, cross the Rio Grande illegally, somehow find themselves here, and then pop out a kid and that kid is an American citizen with the right to become president someday? You're really going to say that? The employees of foreign governments, because the 14th Amendment doesn't say that the kids of diplomats are necessarily natural-born citizens. So this expands that a little bit to say employees of foreign governments, associates, of foreign governments who have kids here, those kids don't become citizens right away. And it also

goes after birth tourism and surrogacy. And this, I think, is really key. Because you could right now have Mr. and Mrs. Osama bin Laden. You could have Mr. and Mrs. Xi Jinping hire a surrogate because of the commodification of human life and the commercialization of having babies. You could have them hire a surrogate in the United States with their kid. The kid pops out on American soil and all of a sudden, Osama Jr. or Xi Jinping Jr. or just American citizens who could become president of the United States. That is obviously absurd. The founders and the framers and the framers of the 14th Amendment and every serious statesman who's ever lived in America would be turning their graves over this. So what I love that this shows is that Trump is dealing in political reality.

He's fighting against forces that are really daunting. And it's another reminder to the right that is the kind of squishier part of the right, which is always fretting about the growth of executive power and the fears of autocracy and tyranny and whatever. The threat to your liberty is not coming from the executive branch. The threat to your liberty is coming much more likely from the judiciary, from the bureaucrats, from a Congress that just structurally now can't do its job. And the executive is really the only branch fighting back. A reminder of how history works. You go back to ancient Rome, which men think about several times a day. And you, you remember, in our modern kind of Republican history, you think of Julius Caesar as the bad guy.

Julius Caesar is the guy who ended the Roman Republic, took away the power of the Roman Senate and, you know, instituted this empire, which was then really grew under Augustus. But that's not how it was understood. In ancient Rome, or really up until a relatively modern era, Caesar was the good guy. If you think Julius Caesar is bad, wait till you hear about the Roman Senate at the time of Julius Caesar. That's it here. This is why I haven't brought up Dante in a while. Dante, you know, he has this great call to Caesar, one of the great invectives in the Divine Comedy. He says, oh, Caesar, why do you no longer accompany me? Where are you? You know, just Justinian fitted the bridle, but the saddle is empty. We need a leader, a spirited leader to protect our liberties because they're being destroyed by all the other aspects of government.

Okay. Now, before we go, I got to get to, I know, look, we're running late on the mailbag. I don't care. We got to get to the transgender star in the WNBA. The WNBA might recruit this guy. Julie, I don't know what his real name is, but he goes by Julie Tittart. He's a Frenchman. Six foot three. He's a six foot three guy. He pretended to be a woman starting in 2021. There's some chatter now that he might. play for a WNBA team. Caitlin Clark was asked about the prospect of trans guys in the WNBA. Caitlin Clark, who all the conservatives were always defending, Caitlin Clark refused to speak out against it. I think for us, like, you know, it's not really a discussion we really have in our locker room. I think it's for leagues and the governing bodies to work with their athletes to find solutions,

but our focus is on basketball, and that's what we talk about and how we can get wins. And obviously, we didn't do that tonight. So you need to find an area to improve in that way. Does you have any reaction to the... I'm just answered for you. We'll go over to the Zoom. We'll start with Chloe. Caitlin Clark, I love her.

She's a tragic figure because Caitlin Clark is an avatar of the entire West. Caitlin Clark, this big star of the WNBA, has asked, hey, should men play in the WNBA? She says, I don't know. This is like the West. Hey, should the West be just overrun by foreign people? people who speak different languages, who have different habits, who believe in a different religion, who really have nothing in common with the West. Should that happen? And what does the West say?

You say, I don't know. I throw my hands up. I'm neutral. Because the West has become nothing. The West was defined by Christianity. When the West gave that up, beginning all the way back in the 16th and 17th centuries through the wars of religion, that led the West to say, okay, we're not explicitly Christian, all the way up to the founding of the European Union, which refused to say that it was a Christian civilization. They thought that they were becoming something more. something bigger, something enlightened, something liberal. But really, they just became nothing. Because if the West is not Christian, the West is nothing. There's nothing that unites it. There's nothing that defines it. And so it becomes a vacuum and vacuums get filled by stuff.

The WNBA was founded so that women could have a basketball league. Because if women tried to play in the NBA, they would lose because men are stronger than women. So it was established specifically only to exclude men. and now the question is should it include men? And if the WNBA includes men, what will happen is it won't expand the WNBA, it will abolish the WNBA, which is fine. I don't care about the WNBA, but as a matter of justice, it would just destroy the WNBA. It's not a question of expanding to include people. It would just destroy it. The same thing goes for marriage. This is really the heart of the marriage debate. People say, can we expand the definition of marriage to include two men or two women or three men or four dudes and a billy goat or whatever? And you say,

Well, I know you think of that as expanding marriage, but all it would do is abolish marriage, because marriage is distinguished. It is defined as being a union between a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation for the education of children. That's what it is. If you expand the definition to include all sorts of things that are not marriage, all you have done is abolish marriage. Marriage ceases to exist as a distinct category of the law and of society. Same thing for the WNBA. You include dudes.

It's just not the W. Now it's just the NBA. It's like a worst version of the NBA with stupid colored footballs. And women getting beaten all the time. Okay, last, I know I'm ready late. I don't care. Last thing I have to get to with the WNBA. The Atlanta Dream player, Angel Reese, she's, I guess, a WNBA lady.

She has just announced a new Barbie collaboration, a new, a new set of dolls because there were no black dolls when she was a kid. Honestly, I didn't have a lot of dolls because I didn't have dolls that really looked like me much. And that's why I kind of really wanted to make sure it's just super intentional. Because now that they have a doll that looks like you in nails and hair, but also you can be a killer on the sports. So that was something that was important to have this black Barbie doll. Because when I was growing up, there were no black Barbie dolls. This girl is how old? Like 25, maybe?

Or younger? Black Barbie debuted in 1967. There have been Black Barbie dolls for not only all of this chick's life, but for many multiples of this lady's life. The demand, in other words, for anti-black racism sharply outstrips the supply. You saw this in the R-Day case

going all the way back to the top of the show. You see this in BLM, you see this in so much of left-wing activism. There is a 60-year back order on anti-black racism, but they won't give it up. They won't give up the demand for it. Very, very silly,

but it's more pernicious than silly. It's used as a cudgel to pervert our institutions. And so when you, whether we're talking about Cambridge University, or we're talking about the WNBA, which no one really cares about. I don't know that people care about Cambridge University anymore. There's just a reminder that so much of liberal modernity,

getting back to our discussion on the university, it's a turning away from understanding the world and a turning toward changing the world. That's the big shift in modernity. Karl Marx said it in the thesis on Feuerbach. The philosophers hereetofore have endeavored to interpret the world, but the point is to change it. So that's what we've turned to.

The universities at their commencements, they used to debate aspects of the natural law. That was what a commencement ceremony was. Now it's just a bunch of goobers coming out saying, you've got to go change the world. And so that shift from intellect to which, that shift from understanding reality and working in accord with it and cooperating with God's grace toward I'm going to make myself a God. Some people dream things that see things that are and say

why I dream things that never were and say why not. That shift leads you to lie. You have to lie if you're going to try to change the world. You have to deny aspects of reality. And when you lie, you're going to lose. Reality is going to win in the end and you're going to cause a lot of pain and suffering along the way. You can't actually do that. You can't actually change the world. The lives are going to catch up with you. They're going to catch up with you electorally when we're talking about pretending the boys can be girls. They're going to catch up with you academically, as in the case of RDA. They're going to catch up with you, theologically, religiously, spiritually, as in the case of the most educated generation in history facing existential crises en masse.

Good morning, Michael. This is Arun. So President Trump, whom I love, Nihomo, just endorsed Mike Lindell for Governor of Minnesota, and I'm trying to figure out what he was thinking. Mike Lindell and I agree on almost everything politically. Mike Lindell is the white version of me. Imagine me running for governor. I mean, you've seen the kind of monkey business in which I traffic in the show chat. Now imagine Mike Lindell doing that on the campaign trail. If I ran for governor, I would win like 10 votes, and nine of them would be me voting for myself illegally,

just to prove a point about election integrity. What do you think the base to President Trump is thinking? here. Thank you, as always, for your wisdom. Great, great question, Arun. I really like Mike Lindell. I don't know him all that well, but I've known him for a relatively long time. I'll tell you what President Trump is thinking. Just reading as, I've obviously haven't spoken to the president or anyone at the White House on this, but I think what he's thinking is, one, Trump is loyal. Trump is a loyal guy. When you start to turn on Trump, when you start to contradict Trump or go against him, then he can be brutal. And so people have misinterpreted that, him turning on Thomas Massey or something.

as disloyalty. But Massey turned on Trump before Trump turned on Massey. Don't forget, that's true all the time. Trump is a very, very loyal guy, and Mike Lindell has been a big supporter of his. Mike Lindell has sacrificed a lot to defend President Trump. And so I think there's some loyalty there. Two, I think President Trump really admires celebrity. I think he's right about that in politics. In Pennsylvania, in that Senate race a few years ago, for more than a few years ago now, he endorsed Dr. Oz over Dave McCormick. Dave McCormick was probably more conservative than Dr. Oz, but Dr. Oz was a celebrity, and celebrity really matters in politics. You know, Washington is Hollywood for ugly people. So the fact that Mike Lindell can connect to

people, that Mike Lindell is this big personality that everyone's heard of has high name ID. I think probably President Trump does view that as a bonus politically. But then three, I think that what probably cinched it for him is, if the other candidates in that race, most whom you've never heard of. Well, you, Arun, probably have heard of in Minnesota, but most people have not. If the other candidates in that race were running neck and neck with the Democrat on a generic ballot, or on a general election ballot, then maybe President Trump would not have endorsed Lindell, but they were all running way behind the Democrats. This is Minnesota. Minnesota is the only state that voted for Mondale over Reagan in 1984. Minnesota is pretty true blue. They do occasionally

elect Republicans like Tim Palentia's governor, but with mass migration, with the turn of Minnesota, play out with the ice protests and BLM. I think the odds of a Republican governor of Minnesota are pretty low. And so I think here he's saying, well, the other candidates probably don't have much of a shot. And so why not be loyal and why not make a sort of Hail Mary play with the celebrity Mike Lindell? That's my psychoanalysis of President Trump. And I think I'm right. Next question.

Hey, Michael. I'm a huge fan of your show and look forward to listening to it every day. My question for you today has a little bit of a backstory. So please bear with me. My husband and I got married a little every year ago and were both strong Protestants at the time. A few months ago, we became Orthodox Presbyterians. However, I've been listening to Catholic podcasts and have become what some call Catholic curious, and am now questioning my Protestant beliefs.

My husband, on the other hand, has looked into Catholicism and is not convinced of the church nor to teachings. Therefore, his desires for both of us to remain faithful Presbyterians. My question for you is, how do I remain a faithful wife under my husband's spiritual leadership and authority when I'm considering Catholicism, but he is against it. Thanks as always, God bless. Really good question, and it can be a tough issue in marriage, but it's not insurmountable, and it's actually fairly common. I think that right off the bat, we have to recognize that, yes, it's very good for wives to submit to their husbands. We're told to do this. You know, now husbands have to love their wives, and so a marriage is really a complementary thing. It's less like someone lording over the other person than it is

like a waltz. You know, someone is leading the waltz. You know, someone is leading the waltz. But when you're actually dancing the waltz, it's not always clear who's leading. There is a leader of the waltz, but it's not always totally clear because you're one flesh. So you really should be moving in concert together. Now, you have obligations to your husband, as he has obligations to you, but you both have obligations to God first. More than you have obligations to each other or to your kids or to your society. So if you believe, as I happen to believe, that the church, the Catholic Church really is the church, is the real church. you know, it contains the fullness of truth, possesses the fullness of truth, then you really do have

an obligation to follow that, an obligation to yourself and an obligation to God. But you don't want to disrespect your husband. You don't want to dis your husband either, and you probably want to pull them along. You know, I have a friend who's, he's become a Presbyterian somewhat recently. And he said to me, he said, you know, I really like Presbyterianism. I love this church, love the pastor, love, love the liturgy. The only hold up I have is, I don't think I believe in Calvinism. And I said, oh, you like the Presbyterian Church, but you're not a Calvinist. Boy, oh boy, do I have an option for you? And so anyway, it's not uncommon. Good friends of mine who are very, very serious Catholics. They were Presbyterians for a while, you know, and they, so that can be kind of a pipeline.

In any case, your husband's not convinced yet. That's fine. Maybe he'll never be convinced. But you do have an obligation to God first. And so maybe one way to work through this in a marriage would be for you to seriously pursue Catholicism, go to Mass, you know, avail yourself at the sacraments, enroll in OCIA, you know, do all the things. But maybe you also go with your husband to the Protestant service. Maybe you're not totally participating in it, but you know, you'd go. You don't need to like totally disim or call them a heretic or anything like that. But, you know, while pursuing what you feel to be your calling from God and your religious obligations,

You could also, you know, bring him along as well. And you can also, you know, show up if the whole family is going to go to the Presbyterian service, you could at least go, even if you're not totally participating in it. That would be one way. Again, you know, this is a little above my pay grade. I'm not a theologian. I'm not a member of the clergy. But that might be one way to balance those things. But if you believe that religion is more than just a nice thing for the community, if you believe that the church is more than just a social.

institution, which we all believe, then you can't merely go to a church or adopt a religion for your husband's sake. Take him seriously, but it's not, it ultimately is not really about him. It's about God. And so that would be, I think that would be a prudent way to pursue what you feel is your religious calling while not disrespecting your husband. And hopefully bring him long cross the Tiber and we'll all have a big party in cigars and Mayflower cigars.
