O. Sles. The new White House press secretary steps down after just a week on the job. France is
burning to the ground, and most people are getting the reason why wrong, and an Ecuadorian priest
is killed in horrifying viral footage after a crucifix crushes him during mass. And in that case,
most people are getting the reason why really, really wrong. Confusion abounds. I'm Michael
Noles. It's the Michael Nulls show.
Welcome back to the show. You know how much I hate to say I told you. So you remember a few weeks ago, well, I've been saying it pretty consistently. I said, hey, if the Democrats win the midterms, it's not that they're going to pass a bunch of bad policy. They won't. Trump will stop that. The problem is they're just going to go after. Not only Trump, not only is administration, but everyone even vaguely around Trump, everyone within a three billion mile blast radius of Trump. Remember I said that? I said that. I said, that.
that's the thing they're doing? Well, Democrat Senator Alyssa Slotkin has just admitted on camera that
that is correct. She said that what the Democrats have to do is imprison Trump supporters and therefore
discourage anyone from ever even considering, down to a teenage kid, even considering supporting
a Republican in the future. We'll get to that because we are weeks away, less than we, gosh,
what is it, two weeks away now from midterm elections when all of that could happen. First,
though, let's start with France. France is just on fire right now. It was
viral video going around yesterday of the historic Limoges Town Hall, which has stood since 1876,
burning and collapsing. Now, we see images of France on fire with some frequency, and often it's
confined to one area or another, some neighborhood of Paris. In this case, France is just on fire.
I've been hearing from people who friends and friends of friends who are in France.
this is not just confined to the ghetto no-go-zone neighborhoods here.
Even like the really nice neighborhoods of Paris,
even towns around France are on fire right now.
And people don't really know what this is about.
So the consensus view is that this is because of all the migrants,
because of all the Muslim migrants in France,
that is why France is burning to the ground.
And there's a kernel of truth in that,
but it's missing the bigger picture.
So these protests and riots,
and arson attacks and looting and assaults and all the rest.
This began as a student movement.
A student, as it so often does, it begins as a student movement in the poorer neighborhoods.
And then it's spread everywhere.
So far, there are about 550,000 to 800,000 rioters.
So you're now approaching upwards of a million people rioting and burning down France all around
the country.
There have only been 2,400 arrests, doesn't take a math PhD,
to know if you got 800,000 people burning down the country and only two to three thousand people
being arrested, you have roughly 797,000 people who are still burning down the country.
A thousand police and gendarme and other security personnel have been injured.
And so everyone's blaming it on the migrants.
And I'm all for blaming the migrants.
And I think they should all be deported in their country, in our country.
And all the country is in between.
So I don't think I'm going soft in any way on the migration issue, which remains one of,
if not the top issues in the entire West.
But we need a little bit of historical perspective here, folks.
I almost didn't even cover this story today.
You know why?
Because France burning down in riots is not a man bites dog story.
France is always burning down because of riots.
And sometimes that involves immigrants and sometimes it doesn't.
this has happened in France about 80 times over the last 237 years.
Since the French Revolution, this very scene, the assaults and the looting and the burning
and that has happened about 80 times.
It kind of depends on how you score it and sometimes multiple protests and riots blur
together, but it's anywhere from 60 to 80 times, which means if it's been 80 times over
the last 237 years, that means that this happens in France, on average, about everything.
three years. And it's been going on a lot longer than Muslims have taken over France. Some more
historical context, Muslims have been trying to take over France since the eighth century. And they got
pushed back at the Battle of Poitiers by Charles Martel in 732. But they've been trying again and
again and again over the years, sometimes more and less successfully. This has been going on since
the French Revolution. And so people are coming to a backwards conclusion. They are
saying that migrants are causing the burning. That is literally true because after the student
movement started to take hold, a lot of migrants and criminals and Muslims opportunistically
decided to join in and steal stuff and burn stuff down and settle old grudges and all the rest.
So I guess it's literally true that migrants are causing the burning. But the deeper truth
and the harder truth is that the burning caused the migrants.
That's the one that people are going to have trouble accepting, and they're not, even if they do accept it, they're not going to know what to do with that.
The burning started in 1789. The burning really started in 1789, and it's been going on intermittently, consistently, ever since.
And so what happened in 1789 is you had the overthrow of Catholicism, of Christianity in France.
You had France, the eldest daughter of the church, so-called.
you had the overthrow of the Ancien regime of the French monarchy, and you had the implementation of liberalism.
The French Revolution was the liberal revolution.
The American Revolution, which preceded it, was not really a liberal revolution.
We sometimes think of it that way today because of a retconning from the end of the 20th century,
but it wasn't really a liberal revolution.
In fact, writing at the time, Edmund Burke, the father of Anglo-American conservatism,
Edmund Burke pointed out that the American Revolution was a conservative revolution.
It was done in a pretty orderly way through principles of subsidiarity.
Even though it did upend the political order, it maintained the political institutions that the American colonists had inherited from the English.
It was relatively orderly.
The American colonies looked much the same after the American Revolution as they did before.
Rather than overthrowing the English political order what the American colonists did in Berk's,
was to assert their very rights as Englishmen.
Here's another point in favor of the American Revolution being relatively conservative.
The old regime in France supported the American Revolution. It's the only reason we won.
Okay. Compare that or contrast that to the French Revolution.
They remade everything. First of all, they lopped off the head of the king and the queen.
Then they lopped off the head of basically everybody else, including many of the revolutionaries,
including Robespierre. They looted.
vandalized Notre Dame de Paris. They took down the Blessed Mother and they installed the goddess
reason and they turned it into a temple of reason. They redid the neighborhoods. They redid the measuring
systems. They redid all of education. It was a true liberal revolution. And on the principles of
libertay, egalite, and fraternity, what did you get? You got the implementation of liberalism taken
to its fullest conclusion, which includes these ideas of egalitarianism.
which ultimately, you know, after many subsequent republics and the undoing of the revolution
and the fulfillment of the revolution through Napoleon and on and on and on through the centuries,
you get to this moment where we're all equal, we're all brothers, we're all free in the liberal sense of the word,
we can do whatever we want. And what that leads to is arson and rioting and open borders and migration.
So, yes, look, it'd be great, I guess, if Marine Le Pen wins the election,
if the right-wing party in France wins the upcoming elections.
and tries to do something about the migrant problem,
although when the right-wing parties were elected in the UK
on the migrant issue, guess what happened?
Immigration went up.
So I'm not even convinced that the right-wing party in France
will actually do anything about it.
But, okay, let's hope.
Let's hope we deport a lot of the migrants
and we bring a little law and order
and we stop France, the eldest daughter of the church,
one of the epicenters of Western civilization
from burning to the ground.
You're still not going to fix the problem.
You're not going to fix the problem.
This is in part why the election of conservative parties in the UK didn't fix the problem, or the election of the conservative party in Italy didn't fix the problem.
Or the election of the conservative candidate in Hungary even, which is pretty illiberal, didn't totally solve the problem because Brussels, the center of European liberalism was able to finally oust to that guy.
It's liberalism is the big issue.
That's the big problem.
It's not that the migrants caused the burning.
It's that the burning caused the migrants.
And now you're stuck in this orobores, this vicious, vicious cycle.
Are we ready for that conversation? I don't know. Many American conservatives are not even ready for that conversation. You just contrast it. The Pope was just in France. Remember that like two, three weeks ago? The Pope was in France, open air mass, almost a million people out there. It's orderly. Priests hearing confessions on the street. There was no burning when the Pope was there. When the pinnacle of Christian civilization returns to France, everything was great. They were living in paradise. And then the Pope leaves. And you, you
get more liberalism, with the migration, with the self-interestedness, with the looting,
and what happens? France goes on fire. Which way, Western man, are we going to be the Christian
civilization? That's how some people think of the West. The West is Christendom, to quote,
Heller Belloc, the faith is Europe and Europe is the faith. There's that view. And then there's
the idea, no, no, no. The West is the Enlightenment. The West is liberalism. The West is pride
parades. The West is individual autonomy. That's a different, contrasting, alternative vision of the West.
One of them is beautiful. One of them is fire. Which way? Which way? Those are your choices.
There's no syncretism there. They don't go together. They don't compliment each other.
Liberalism is the replacement for Christianity. Which one do you want? Okay. I hope we can clear the air on
that. Speaking of Christianity, a viral, viral video yesterday, really, really horrifying of a priest in
Ecuador who is celebrating the mass and who is killed when a crucifix falls and crushes him.
We will get to that because people, you think they don't understand what's going on in France,
people really don't understand how to interpret this. First, though, I want to tell you,
after we clear the air, about rabbit air. Go to rabbitair.com. There is something very, very
civilized about sitting down at the end of a long day and enjoying a good cigar. Indeed, I did it
yesterday. A comfortable chair, a good conversation, perhaps a glass of something nice, whatever it is.
Sometimes for me, it's coffee.
Sometimes it's Earl Grey.
Sometimes it's something a little stronger.
There's a difference between enjoying a cigar and wanting your entire house to smell like a cigar lounge.
That is where my Rabbit Air A3 comes in.
Rabbit Air uses a six-stage filtration system designed to capture smoke particles and help neutralize stubborn odors,
all while operating remarkably quietly.
I was just talking about this yesterday.
I had a friend over at the house.
He brought me a cigar.
And we were in nice little room with my Rabbit Air with the Mayflower logo on it.
And he said, oh, wow, you have one of those.
one of those rabbits. I said, oh yeah. And he said, you know, I'm thinking about trying to do the cigar
room thing, but it's, I don't want my wife to be angry. And it kind of smells sometimes. I say,
you got to get the rabbit air. It is the best. It is the best on the market. They're upgraded,
dual hive activated carbon technology, improves Zota removal efficiency by 26 percent,
using two layers of carbon pellets for better air contact and filtration. It means you can enjoy the cigar
without asking the furniture to enjoy it for the next three weeks. I just, I love it. It's backed by
comprehensive five-year warranty. If you enjoy cigars indoors, this is worth looking into
rabbitair.com. You can call their consultants 24-7 for personalized recommendation on the best setup
for your smoking space, rabbitair.com. Video everywhere all over the headlines, all over social
media of a priest in Ecuador, father, Patricio Alfredo Sanchez Molinari in Gai'uquil, Ecuador.
It's a pretty disturbing video. I think the editors have blurred out the actual moment of his death,
but here's just a brief glimpse of what happened.
So the last word he says is the Lord,
Señor.
Last word he says is Lord, and you hear some screaming out there.
A crucifix falls down and crushes the priest as he's celebrating Mass.
And people looking at this through secular eyes are drawing a completely opposite conclusion
from people who look at this through the Christian perspective.
So just a little indicative, illustrative view.
of the comments on social media.
Someone looks at that and says,
seems like a sign from God.
A lot of people looking through secular eyes,
they say, oh yeah, well, this is divine retribution.
This is judgment.
The priest must have done something wrong.
That's what someone else says.
Someone says, Jesus is punishing him directly
for eating tithes.
What does that mean?
What does that mean?
They obviously know nothing about this priest.
Most priests live in significant poverty,
and they dedicate their lives to serving the Lord, and they give up a lot.
They give up a lot of material wealth.
They give up a lot of private property.
They give up the opportunity to get married and have families.
They give up a lot to serve God.
This is why it's a real calling.
It's a real vocation to be a priest, and they're severely overworked and underappreciated.
But someone just looks at this.
They say, well, the crucifix fell on him.
Jesus must be punishing him for something.
Maybe it's eating tithes.
Another reaction, another secular reason,
reaction, says, ha, ha, and people think God will save you. Where was his God? Where was his God? Look what
happened to him. Shows you, Christians, boom, dunk, tip the fedora, Reddit owns you. Take that.
And what's so amazing about the reactions is the reactions themselves are straight out of scripture.
Of course, the people who are dunking on the priests know nothing about Christianity. They
know absolutely nothing about scripture. And they don't realize that their own reactions are
foretold. They appear in scripture. The first line of scripture that came to me,
seeing not just what happened, but seeing the reactions, is from Job. Job, chapter 4,
verses 7 through 9, because this is the argument that Job's friend Elifaz makes to him.
When Job, who is a righteous man, when Job is tested, when God allows the devil to test Job
and test his faith, all these bad things start happening to him, and Job remains faithful.
And what happens? His friends, who he's hanging out with, they say, well, Job, you must have done
something wrong. If something bad happens to you, you must have done something wrong. You must have
sinned. Elifaz says, think now. Who that was innocent ever perished? Or where were the upright cut off?
As I have seen those who plow iniquity and so trouble reap the same by the breath of God they perish
and by the blast of his anger they are consumed. And it's so funny. The first line is so funny,
it should tip off the reader who has any awareness to say that Elifaz doesn't know what he's talking
about. He says, who that was innocent ever perished? You say, I don't know, everyone? I don't know. Everyone?
No, no, well, I guess no one is actually fully innocent, but people who are substantially
innocent, little babies, you know, little kids get cancer and die. It's so awful. That is a real
test of our faith. It makes us grapple with the issue of the Odyssey. But on the surface, you say,
who that was innocent ever perished, you say, I don't know, all the innocent people who have
perished. Clearly something else is going on here. Reminds us of what our Lord says in Matthew
chapter five, which is that God makes his son rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain
on the just and on the unjust. The wicked do in fact sometimes flourish, seem to flourish at least.
And what does Christ say? He says, follow me. You will have travails in this world. You will have
troubles in this world. What else does Christ say? He says, are not two sparrows sold for a penny,
and not one of them will fall on the ground without your father's will, but even the hairs of your head are numbered.
I fear not, therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.
So now you see this interesting contrast.
You say, okay, the good are punished sometimes, and the wicked do flourish sometimes.
And God does make the sun to rise and the rain to fall and the unjust alike.
And yet also, God is ultimately in control of everything.
A sparrow doesn't fall from the sky without your father's knowing.
all the hairs of your head are numbered,
and you're worth more than many sparrows.
Then you go back to Job for a second.
After all of this, after all of his buddies say,
hey, all these bad things are happening to you
because it's your fault somehow.
You've got to figure out how it's your fault.
And Job, by the end, he's exasperated.
He says, come on, man, what have I done?
Like, why?
This isn't fair.
This isn't right.
This isn't just.
And what does God say to Job?
It's my favorite verse in the Bible.
Job 38, 4 through 7.
He says, as Job demands answers.
He says, where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.
Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know.
Or who stretched the line upon it.
On what were its bases sunk or who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together
and all the sons of God shouted for joy.
Where were you?
Oh, surely you know.
You have so much understanding.
Come on.
He sounds like an Italian New Yorker.
He said, oh, come on.
No, you know.
Come on.
Tell me, you know.
Surely you were there. You were there, right? Did you lay the foundations of the earth?
Do you understand my plan? Really? I don't think you do. Think about even what last verse from
scripture. Also in Matthew, what Christ says when Peter, you know, at the beginning of the passion,
when the Romans come with Judas to capture him and what is Peter do? He slices off the ear of one of the
Roman soldiers. And Christ says, no, no, no, no. Put your sword back into its place for all who take the
sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot appeal to my father, and he will at once send me
more than 12 legions of angels? But how then should the scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?
The Romans who are mocking Christ on the crucifix, they say, ha, he saved so many, can he save himself?
Let's see him save himself now. He says, you think I can't save, you think I can't call on my father?
And he would send 12 legions of angels, but then the scriptures would not be fulfilled.
And this is the answer to Theodicy.
This is what God is getting at when he's talking to Job at the end of the book.
He says, you know, there's a plan here.
I have a plan.
And whether you believe that or not, whether you have faith or not,
the thing you can know for certain is you don't have a plan.
You cannot, you cannot comprehend the fullness of the plan.
You weren't there when the foundations of the earth were laid.
You don't know.
You have a very modest store of reason.
reason. And so if there is a plan, you are not in control of it. And so the reaction is illustrived,
look, we should pray for this priest. Some people don't like to pray for the dead. But of course,
if you've ever said RIP, you are praying for the dead. RIP means requiescot and Pache,
in English, rest in peace. You say, requiematernam, don't a, dominate Luke's perpetual light
shine upon him may he rest in peace. So you are, if you ever say RIP, you are praying for the dead.
But in any case, we should pray for the dead. From the Christian perspective, this is not the worst way to die.
This might be the best way to die. This is a priest celebrating mass in the real presence of God.
The last words out of his lips are Lord? We're all going to die someday. Either you're going to die in a hospice, starving,
or are you going to die in a hospital with a bunch of tubes plugged into you?
Are you going to die because some Muslim bandit in France stabs you or burns you?
Or you're going to die. But you're going to die.
You're going to die. You know no one here gets out alive, right? So the question is, how are you going to die? What is a good death? We forget all of these things. Traditionally in Christianity at the end of the year, especially during during Lent, or sorry, during Advent, you think about the four final things. Death, judgment, heaven, and hell. Now we spend our whole lives trying to avoid thinking about those things. We think a good death is when you kill yourself. We think that a good death is death coming to you unawares without preparing your soul for it. The modern
culture that impels this reaction is the culture of karma. Well, there's karma. Karma's not a Christian
concept. Karma is not a Western concept. Karma is an Eastern pagan import that we, now that we,
after the Enlightenment, have increasingly turned back toward paganism, we have appropriated.
But ain't nothing good about karma. Karma is the idea that when the little kid dies from cancer,
he probably deserved it. He had to have deserved it. That's the law of attraction. The best-selling
book that Oprah promoted for years. The Secret. Do you remember that book? Rhonda Byrne was it? One of the most
evil books, certainly of my lifetime. The secret said that everything that happens to you is your
own fault because you attract it through some woo-woo new age juju. And so if you want good things to
happen to you, you just have to think right. And if bad things are happening to you, if the rain falls
on you and you think that you're just, you're not just. You're doing something wrong. That's the
Look, if you want to live like a pagan society, if you want to, if you want your society increasingly to resemble societies in East Asia or South Asia or or pre-Christian Latin America or something like that, if you want widespread human sacrifice, which we have now, we have 1.2 million babies a year we sacrifice.
If you want Dionysiac orgies, disrespect women, but also degrade men.
We got that at Cornell now if you want.
If you want that, you can return to the pagan society.
But for at least, you know, roughly 2,000 years, well, solidly at least a thousand years in there,
we had a Christian society.
And it was better.
It was the greatest society that ever lived.
It was a society that built Notre Dame de Paris, all the gothic cathedrals,
that established our flourishing systems of government, that once really did flourish,
that conquered the world for good, that made the world better.
that it was so good that all the rest of the world wanted to become like us and wanted to come to our countries.
That's how you know that when we conquered the world it was for good, because all those other people that we conquered are,
they're not trying to run away from their supposed oppressors.
They're trying, they're battening down the doors to try to battering down the doors to try to get into our societies.
And that's what we're giving up.
Your take on the priest being crushed by the crucifix is going to tell you where you're at on this spectrum,
from Christian society to pagan society.
if your first take is, well, that's karma.
Okay, well, you're like a lot of modern people.
But that's not the view in the Bible.
I mean, there's like, there are like actual stories in the Bible about your reaction.
Don't be Elefaz.
Do not, as a general rule, do not be Elifaz.
Okay.
Now, speaking of unexpected turns of Providence,
the White House Press Secretary is out after one week.
We will get to how that went down because everyone,
The left is making a lot of jokes about this.
Some people on the right, I think, are being pretty cruel about this.
I think, actually, there's a lot of glass-half-full in the whole episode.
Not just because I'm a generally sunny kind of guy, but because of what it shows you about
the people involved from the administration to the press secretary.
First, I want to tell you about GOP votes.
The Democratic Socialists of America won primaries across the country.
Next, they're coming for Congress, and they're coming for you.
If they win the midterms, they will defund the police, reopen our border, and force men into women's
sports. You are the last line of defense and GOPvotes.org is your partner in the fight. Go to
GOPvotes.org right now, make a plan to vote early. If you live in the critical Senate
battleground states of Alaska, Michigan, Maine, Ohio, Iowa, or Texas, early voting is already
underway this week. Democrats are energized and the stakes have never been higher. We cannot afford
to have people like AOC and their communist cronies running the show. That is why I need you to make a
plan to vote early right now. Go to GOPvotes.org to find your polling,
location, vote early, stop the socialist takeover of America, paid for by SLF PAC not authorized by any
candidate or candidates committee. We've all heard radio advertisements about owing the IRS money. They
lean on fear and try to frighten you into calling. Tax relief advocates does things differently,
whether you owe $5,000, $50,000 or $500,000. TRA offers an actual solution. Do not lose hope.
TRA could reduce or even eliminate what you owe the IRS. Their passion is taxes and helping
individuals and businesses settle their IRS problems. They've earned over 1,000, $1,500,000. They've earned over
1,000 5-star Google reviews and an A-plus from the Better Business Bureau.
There is no need to fear the IRS any longer.

Tax Relief Advocates, Real Solutions for Real People.
Katie Zachariah is named White House Press Secretary about a week ago, and she, the first day was Columbus Day.
Then her first press briefing was on Tuesday.
She stumbled out the gate.
Then she went on for some tough interviews the following morning.
They didn't go all that well.
And then the left started really digging into her and raised this question about whether or not she was really an attorney.
She said, I'm not an attorney.
I'm a lawyer because she has a law degree.
But then she moved to China with her husband almost right after law school.
So she didn't pass the bar.
she didn't take it again. She wasn't really going to practice law. And so then it got all in the
weeds on, well, what's the distinction a lawyer and an attorney? And when you're explaining, you're losing,
and it didn't work out well. So President Trump was asked when she was on the ropes before she stepped
down. He said, hey, are you going to fire your press secretary?
Katie Zachariah didn't have to borrow it. And how would you rate her performance?
Well, Katie's been treated very badly by the media, very, very unfairly, I think. And I just
I said, Katie, is this for you? Because, you know, she's been treated very rough. And she's a
nice person, very nice person. I've watched her for years on television, but I said, is this for you,
Katie? Because honestly, you don't need this. You don't have to be treated. I would say the fake
news, but just generally, the media has been very rough. Do you have said that she didn't disclose
passing the bar or not passing the bar? Well, I wasn't hiring her to be a lawyer. I was hiring
press takers, but nobody really went crazy over that.
I would say it probably wouldn't have mattered.
I know many people, many people, many very smart people.
Some of them take the bar four exams, a bar exam four times, but I wasn't hiring as a lawyer.
I hired as a press.
And she's been very good, you know, she's been loyal to me from day one for a long time.
But it's not an easy job, and I think she was really treated very unfairly.
So I'll speak to her about it.
I told her, I think you're better
of being happy. And I'm not too you can ever
be happy at this stuff.
Look at this. Look at how he
handles this. Because
Trump has this reputation of being
disloyal. I don't think that's true.
Everything I know about Trump, I've been kind of close to Trump,
I'm close to many people around Trump.
Everything I hear is he's a very loyal guy.
But he's got this reputation,
at least in the left wing media. Oh, he'll fire
people by tweet. He'll throw
people out. You know, his whole punchline,
his whole catchphrase on the
apprentice is, you fired, and they'll just toss them out willy-nilly. Look at what he does here.
She stumbles out the gate. A lot of people predicted she would not stay in the role very long.
And what does Trump do instead of saying, yeah, it was terrible, I don't know who hired it.
This was a big mistake. They shouldn't. It ain't get around the vetting. Instead of doing that,
going after, he says, she was treated very unfairly by the media. Whether you agree with that
statement or not, it's a very loyal way. It's a very gracious way to react to that question.
And he says, she's a very nice person. I can attest. She's a lovely person.
I know Katie a little bit.
And we have mutual friends, close mutual friends.
She is a lovely person.
She is one of the loveliest people I've ever met in politics, okay?
And I'm not even judging.
That sounds like I'm grading on a curve because people in politics are nasty, evil monsters a lot of the time.
But she is just so lovely, earnest, sincere, talented.
But she did stumble, I think.
There's no question about that.
And Trump says, no, no, no, she's great.
And so I asked her, you know, you've been treated so unfairly.
I want you to be happy. She does it. She's got four kids. Is this, you know, is this really for you?
It's a very gentle way of saying. Now, obviously, the president of the United States, if he says to someone who's
working for him, hey, is this really for you? That is a sign to say, okay, you're going to move into some other
role in life. But he does it in this very, very gracious way. And for Katie Zacharias part,
look at what she says. After this, where she's been absolutely brutalized in the media,
she comes out, she posts a picture with the president and says, President Trump is a kind,
wonderful, gracious, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and hardworking man. I wish more Americans appreciated him.
no one will ever make America great the way he has and continues to. It was an honor to work for him.
And all these nasty people are making fun of her and trying to dunk on her and all this.
That's a class act right there. That is a class act. It would be so easy to say, yeah, I was treated unfairly, and this isn't right.
Or to go silent out of embarrassment or whatever. She doesn't do that. She faces this media onslaught head on,
even after getting the job and losing the job in a week. She comes out there, she says, you know,
everything I thought about Trump beforehand remains true. All the reasons I was eager to work for him
are the reasons that I want to continue to support him now. And even if I only got to work for him for a week,
it was an honor to work for him. That's a class act. It takes a lot of guts to do that. It takes a lot
of moral clarity to do that. And so anyway, it's unfortunate. I don't know. I think the reporting
out of the White House now is that they're not going to rush to replace the press secretary.
And they don't really need to. President Trump is, whether you love him or
him. He is the most transparent president we've ever had. He just talks to reporters on the right,
on the left, friendly, hostile, on the reg. They just call him. A lot of them have his cell phone number.
He invited the press into the cabinet meetings. He invites them in all the time. He talks to them
off the cuff all the time. Whatever you want to say about Trump, you cannot say he's hiding from the
cameras. He does more press conferences in a day than Joe Biden did in four years. Okay. And so between
him, the vice president, it's very good at communicating with the press. A lot of
remember, Rubio's great, Heg Seth, all these guys go out there. There's a lot of access. I don't know
that you need a press secretary right away. For most of American history, the president did not have a
press secretary. So in any case, probably they'll wait until after the midterms. I think that would
be a good idea anyway. All that to say, in a very intense moment when tensions are really running
high days before midterm elections, it's so hot, it's so hard. The fact that Trump and Katie
Zachariah both showed this much class and maturity and grace in how this was handled, I find
very impressive. I don't think it's just, yeah, of course, you wish it had worked out. You wish that
there wasn't a stumble. Yeah, of course, I acknowledge all of that. But the story is going to be
almost entirely forgotten in about three days. And the way both of them handled it, I think actually
reveals a lot about their character. Okay. She was always, one last point on this before we all
move on from the story and everyone goes on. Also, again, in Katie Zachariah's to
defense. There were three things going on. Yes, she stumbled out the gate. And she started explaining
why that was and saying, well, you know, I was underslept and I had jet lag and I just got the job yesterday
and I went straight to the briefing today. So she stumbled out the gate. The administration was clearly
not prepared for some of the attacks that were going to come on her. But also, the media were
going to be savage on her. Whether or not you think the media really were deservedly brutal or
gratuitously brutal, they were always going to be brutal because they couldn't land a glove on Caroline
Levitt. That was the issue. They wanted to brutalize Caroline Levitt, but Caroline Levitt, especially with all that
momentum, all that popular support at the beginning of the administration, Caroline Levitt ran over them like a
tank. I mean, she just absolutely wrecked them. And they were furious because Caroline is a pretty young,
blonde girl who's extremely articulate, who was able to beat them and outmaneuver them at every step of the way.
So the press were frothing at the mouth.
They were champing at the bit to get whoever the next person was.
Because of those three reasons, Katie was always going to have a hard time.
And anyway, they'll move on now, probably after the midterms.
Okay.
Now, speaking of those midterms, President Trump is talking about a Senate candidate's derrier again.
He's really, he folk, a male Senate case.
He's talking about a man's butt.
And we will get to that momentarily.

My favorite comment yesterday is from Overtoast who says,
Clickbait. Matt does not sit in Michael's lap as it shows in the thumbnail.
I know. Is that, are we clickbaiters?
Are we? I didn't make the thumbnail.
And I would certainly never have put Matt Walsh sitting in my lap.
But we did, yeah. Matt came on for Friend Friday on Friday.
And we had typically, you know, Matt, he and I are like yin and yang.
We're very, we're kind of complimentary personalities, you know, a little smile, a little frown.
Anyway, if you didn't catch a show, it's up there for Friday.
Let's turn, speaking of men, sitting in men's laps.
President Trump is once again talking about a male Senate candidate's butt.
He came up and he was talking very nicely and I stood right over here and I examined his ass.
I never did that.
No, I never did that.
that with a man before. I examined his ass and then I looked at his shoulders. I looked at his
feet. I looked at his hand. I looked at his jaw line. He's got a jaw line. This is like you would be
very unfortunate if you picked a fight with him at a bar someday. Give me that seat. No, I'm not
going to give you the seat. But I then patted him on the shoulder and it was like a piece
of steel. I sort of, I'm still recovering my head. I was like,
And I explained it to the crowd.
I said, this is unbelievable.
And, you know, he's picked up like nine or ten points since I talked about that.
What did I tell you?
You know, I hate to say I told you.
So the first time Trump did this a week or two ago.
And he starts to go, I look there.
I'm looking as strong.
He's got his ass.
He said that.
The word ass was really crucial there.
And it goes viral and the left starts calling him gay.
And a lot of people on the rights of what is he talking about?
Why doesn't he shut up?
he's got to stay more on message.
And I said, you don't get what's going on here.
This is like watching Michelangelo paint the ceiling.
All right.
Trump knows exactly what he's doing.
I said, why is he talking about this random Senate candidates?
But he's doing it because now, one, he's painting a picture.
Notice all he says here.
He doubles down.
He just opens up.
He goes, yeah, you know, like a comedian using one of his great bits.
He goes, yeah, the other week I was, I don't know, I got in trouble.
People were always because I stood there.
I was looking at this campaign.
candidate and I examined his ass. And they go, woo. It's like, you know, it's just, it's like
Chappelle getting up doing a bit or Rodney Dangerfield. You all know my doctor, Dr. Vinny Boombats.
It's like the minute he sets that up, you know you're going to get this routine.
And Trump's, and so I examined his ass. And then he goes on this whole thing. His feet,
his hands, his shoulders like steel. He's painting an image. And I said at the time, the first time
he did, I said, the reason Trump is doing this is because previously you were not talking about Mike
Rogers because Mike Rogers is kind of boring. You were not talking about him, and a lot of Republicans
didn't even know that he was the Republican candidate running against Abdul Al-Sayat.
Everyone's just talking about Abdul. No one's talking about Mike Rogers. And now you're talking
about Mike Rogers. And when you think of Mike Rogers, what are you now thinking? Handsome guy,
athlete, good looking, strong. That's the image that Trump is planting in your mind. And he is doing that,
he's using the word ass because he knows that that is going to go viral and it's going to get you
to think of that image he's implanting.
So you think of Abdul al-Sayy, crazy, gay, jihadi.
And then you think of Mike Rogers,
strong, athlete, Superman, Hulk.
That's why he's doing it.
And Trump does it again.
And then he says, at the very end there,
he might as well have said,
and Michael's analysis was totally right.
Okay, I don't want to brag.
I do want to brag, actually.
Because he's acknowledging what he was doing.
He said, yeah, and you know the funny thing?
It was like the perfect little coda,
perfect little punchline there.
I love his ass and his shoulders and he's strong and he's hog. I've never done that to a man before.
Right? He's joking around. He's not doing it to women all the time, but I've never done it to a man before.
He's doing this gay thing and it's funny because it's in Congress because no one thinks Trump is gay.
Whatever you think about Trump, nobody thinks he's gay. And dated supermodels for 50 years.
And it goes there at the end, he goes, and you know the funny thing about that?
Now he's up nine or ten points. Good night, everybody. That's it. That's what he was doing. And it clearly worked.
And things are starting to look a little bit better in the race.
Right now, the polls are improving a little bit for the Republicans.
Insider Advantage poll in Texas has Ken Paxton slightly ahead of Tala Rico.
So 49 to 48, it's statistically tied.
Tala Rico had been leading by single digits in recent polls, but now it's tied.
In Maine, Susan Collins had been behind.
Troy Jackson, like 47 to 49, but Collins does seem to be coming back from behind.
So in any case, this is really, really close.
If you get out there, vote early, vote often, you'll be in a, you're in a position where we could win.
We're probably going to lose the House.
The Senate is still very, very much up for play.
Some of the governorship is still very, very much up for play.
And then the question from the Republicans,
especially some of the disillusioned younger Republicans,
is, well, why would I vote for Trump?
You know, I don't like the Iran War.
Why would I vote for Trump?
Because the Iran War has put pressure on energy markets,
which is increasing the cost of goods a little bit.
Nowhere near the inflation we saw under Biden,
but it's still expensive.
It's still a little tough out there, isn't it?
So why would I vote for Trump?
He's only deported three million foreigners.
I wanted him to deport four million foreigners.
Why? And sure, I want him to deport 10 million foreigners.
But why would I vote for Trump?
I had higher expectations.
And I say, okay, well, look, you agree or disagree on the Iran war?
I think that reasonable minds can disagree on it.
I think that there was an argument, just as there's been a strong argument for decades,
to do something about Iran's very obvious nuclear ambitions, whether or not they were very close to a bomb,
whether or not they were close to immunity because of their conventional weapons,
whether or not it was wise to do it this time or that.
I get it. I totally get it. I totally get it. The economy had been doing historically well before the Iran war and is still doing quite well. On top of that, you have mass deportations. The southern border shut down. That stops three million illegals from coming in every year. And then you've got three million people deported on top of that, two and a half million of which are illegal aliens. So you've got a net swing of what is that? Six million? And approaching now that we're moving further into the year.
million from the foreign-born population that had been the highest ever as a percentage of the
population. Now that's down. It's no longer the highest ever. That's pretty good. Okay, this then.
But maybe that's not convincing you. Maybe that's not convincing you. You say, yeah, well, I wanted
the economy to be doing better and I really didn't want the Iran war and I didn't want this and I wanted.
Okay. Do you know what's going to happen if the Democrats win, especially if they win the Senate?
They're not going to pass socialist health care. They can't do that yet. They could do it if they
win in 2028 the presidency. They're not going to flood the country with illegals yet. They'll certainly
do that if they win the presidency. They're not going to destroy the Supreme Court yet, but they will
do that if they win the presidency, very likely. What they're going to do is they're going to
punish their political opponents. And you might even say, who with a little less loyalty than
President Trump, you might even say, well, I don't care if they punish Trump. I don't care if they
punish Trump's kids. I don't care if they punish Trump's staffers. I don't care. But that's not
what they're going to do. They're going to punish you. They're going to bring the force of the
state against you simply for being a Republican, for being a Trump supporter. Even if you're not a
Republican, if you voted for Trump, they're going to come after you. You don't need to take my word for
it. The Senator from Michigan, the Democrat Senator from Michigan, Alyssa Slotkin, just said this openly
at UChicago.
So that's what I'm saying.
I want to look at these signature cases
and not just focus on the president,
but on the people who enabled him.
I want young people coming out of school to say,
should I go work for the Trump administration?
Like, that sounds fun.
I might get an opportunity.
I want them to be like, Lord, that might be buying myself
a ton of problems that I don't want.
And so let me avoid participating in that.
I want that deterrence message.
This is so amazing.
that they're speaking at the Institute of Politics,
at UChicago, this prestigious institution.
These are supposed to be the adults in the room.
These are supposed to be the brave principal defenders of democracy.
And what is she saying?
She's saying, yeah, the people elected Trump.
And I really don't like that.
So what I am going to do is try to imprison, I, a U.S. senator.
She's not just some activist.
She's not just Hassan Piker.
She's a U.S. senator.
I am going to, if I ever have the power,
imprison everyone who supported Trump to the degree that I can.
Not even just the really high-level people.
She says, these are her words.
She says, I want a teenage kid.
I want a kid in college who might be considering working for the popularly elected
president of the United States.
I want that kid to be afraid and to avoid working for him
because he knows that we Democrats will imprison him
for the crime of disagreeing with us
and helping to support the president
who effectively won the popular vote.
That's what they're going to do.
They're coming for you.
Remember under Biden?
They were invading your churches
and they were calling parents at the PTA terrorists
and they were imprisoning pro-life grannies
because they prayed a little too much at abortion clinics.
Remember that?
that was the amuse-bush to the banquet of political persecution
that the Democrats are promising to unleash
if they get the power.
Do you feel motivated to vote?
Because I do.
Had I been on the National Security Council,
I would have urged restraint on the Iran War.
I would have.
There were a few things I would have done differently
if I worked in the White House.
Nobody was asking my opinion.
And you know what?
It doesn't really matter.
I happen to love Trump.
I think Trump is the best president in my lifetime.
I think he's been right about 99.3% of the time.
Okay, nobody's right 100% of the time.
He's right pretty close.
But maybe you don't,
maybe you think he's only been right 80% of the time.
I don't know, 90%, 70%, whatever.
Trump is in a terrestrial political sense,
a cataconic figure,
to use a favorite phrase of Peter Thiel's
and some of the online right.
He's this restrainer figure who is keeping the Alyssa Slotkins of the world at bay.
The Alyssa Slotkins who want to imprison you according to her own words.
Are you going to go vote?
Who are you going to vote for?
I think Alyssa Slotkin or Donald Trump?
The woman who wants to imprison you or the guy who doesn't want to imprison you?
And the guy who is helping you actually.
Are you going to vote?
Do you feel motivated?
Okay, maybe you'll feel motivated from behind bars.
But then it'll be too late.
