Starting point is 00:02:29 But don't take my word for it. Listen to someone who's already part of the group coaching here. Hey, everyone. My name is Jeremy Hill. And today I wanted to talk to you guys about Rob's podcast. I have been listening since day one and I've been involved in the group coaching since day one. I was a founding member of the mastermind group coaching. And I just wanted to tell you guys, if you have the chance, you must seize this opportunity to get involved. Rob has helped
Starting point is 00:02:53 me personally break through some big time personal barriers, and I would highly recommend that you reach out so he can help you do the same. I hope you guys have a fantastic day. Get out there and make it your mission to make somebody else's day better. And we'll talk to you soon. All right, welcome back. What we're going to be talking about today, I'm going to talk about planes real quick, but it's going to make sense in a second. Every plane needs a runway.
Starting point is 00:03:17 If you think about it, every single plane needs a runway. They don't just take off. They're not helicopters. They don't go straight up into the air. They need a runway. They have to get some sort of momentum, enough speed behind them so they can take off and go up into the air. And I'm going to talk about the next five days because if you're listening to this on the day that it comes out, the 26th, that is going to be five days before the new year
Starting point is 00:03:41 starts, which means you have five days to prepare to make this the best year of your life. Don't wait until you have to take off. Don't wait until January 1st until you go, okay, well, crap, what do I need to do? Let me plan this year. What are my goals? And start getting into the routine. These next five days should be the most important five days of the entire year of 2017 for you. It's already 2017 in my books. So if you're going to take off in 2017, you're going to need to ramp up and you're going to have to hit the ground running and gain momentum just like you would if you were a plane taking off. So that when January 1st is here, you've already got the speed behind you. All you
Starting point is 00:04:23 have to do is just pull back and just take off. What does that mean? Well, do you have your morning routine together? Have you been working on getting the right morning routine? Do you have your plan together of how to hit your goals? Do you even know your goals for 2017? That's a huge part of it, obviously. Get your goals together.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Get them clarified. Get everything down on a piece of paper. Like I told you, my group coaching, we've been focusing, I did an hour and a half long, hour and 45 minute goal workshop with them in my group coaching to make sure that everybody has their goals planned and they've got them all clarified on a piece of paper. So you got to get your goals down on a piece of paper. You got to get your habits started. You got to get your plan together because 2017 in my book has already started. If you're listening to this on the day it comes out you have five days until it's 2017 2017 has already started
Starting point is 00:05:11 for us so so what is your New Year's going to be like this is another big question and this is something that you know there might be mixed reviews on it might be mixed views and I'm okay with that personally I don't use New Year's the way that I used to. I used to use New Year's as a time to get really, really drunk and party. Just being honest. That's what I used to see New Year's as. But do you really want to start the first day of your new year hungover? Is that a good way to start your new year? Is that really the first impression? We know first impressions are everything. Is that the first impression that you want of 2017 that you're hungover and that you sleep late and wake up at
Starting point is 00:05:49 two o'clock and then you go to Waffle House because you got to get some type of greasy food in you so you don't throw up? Like that's not the way that you want to spend that personally for me. That's not the way that I want to spend the first year of 2017. So it's a good thing to make sure that you at least think about how do I want to spend my New Year's? Do I want to celebrate with people I love? Absolutely, 100%. But do I want to go too far and party too much or drink too much or maybe have a headache of the first day? First impressions are everything. Just think about that and ask yourself, what's really important? Is partying really important or making sure that I hit my goals and make 2017 the best year of my life? Is that more important?
Starting point is 00:06:30 You want to make it the best year of your life. I know you do. If you're listening to this, you want to make it the best year of your life. Everybody wants to make 2017 the best year of your life. You want to have 2017 be one year that you're really proud of what you do and who you become. There's not one person in the world who wants 2017 to be worse than any year that you're really proud of what you do and who you become. There's not one person in the world who wants 2017 to be worse than any year that's ever happened to them. But there's a difference. For some people, a select few, 2017 will be the best year of their life.
Starting point is 00:06:58 For a lot of other people, it won't be the best year of their life. Who are you going to be? The actions that you start right now when you get done listening to this episode are going to dictate what your life is going to be like in the future. And you have to realize that. You have to take control and realize that every action that you take means something, whether you realize that it means something or not. There's no such thing as a small, unimportant action. Every action is important. You want to make it the best year of your life. I know that you do. One that you're proud of, one that you can look back and say, man, I did so well this year. I grew so much.
Starting point is 00:07:35 So what is it? What's the deal? What are you going to do in the next five days? Have you planned everything? Have you gotten your goals together? Have you started your habits? everything, if you've gotten your goals together, if you started your habits. Another thing I'll say is this, don't be afraid to think big. I know some of you guys are out there that have goals that are small. Maybe you have taken time. You have written down your goals, but they're smaller than what you really want because you're in fear of missing it or coming up short, or you're scared because you know that goal is big, you got to have at least one BHAG, B-H-A-G, big, hairy, audacious goal. A goal that scares the crap out of you. Because if you don't have a goal that scares the crap out of you and something that's scary, but also fun to work for, well, then it's not as fun to go after the big goals.
Starting point is 00:08:24 scary, but also fun to work for, well, then it's not as fun to go after the big goals. It's more fun to dream of the big things that possibly could be. You know, I say, I've been saying this to people a lot lately where I say, you know, could you make $1 million in 2017? I'm going to ask you this. What's the percentage of you making $1 million in 2017? Just think about that for a second. Answer that question and be honest with yourself. What's the percentage? You know, when I asked that question, a lot of people said 1% or 0.1% and all of those things. I said, okay, well, let me ask you this question. If I told you, if you didn't make a million dollars legally, legally next year, I would kill your entire family. What's the percentage of you hitting that goal in making a million dollars in 2017? And everybody switched theirs to 100%, 100%, 100%. I would
Starting point is 00:09:13 definitely hit that goal of making a million dollars. I said, what's the difference? The goal is not different. The goal is the exact same. A million dollars is still the same. What's different is your why behind what you're going for. So if you're able to change your perception that quickly and realize that you're limiting yourself, how often are you limiting yourself in every single thing that you do? You have to have big, hairy, audacious goals. You have to push yourself past the point of comfort. It's like when you work out and you push yourself to failure, that's when you start to grow. That's when you grow muscles. You don't get muscles from lifting the same weight every single day. You get muscles from pushing yourself to the point of uncomfort. It's pushing
Starting point is 00:09:53 yourself where it hurts terribly for the next couple days. You have to push yourself and you have to start right now. You have five days. If you're listening to this on any day that's not the day this comes out, you have less than five days. You have to push yourself now. It is now the runway. Right now, you're on the runway. And how much momentum and speed you gain right now is going to dictate how fast you're going to, how quickly you're going to take off in 2017. What you do on New Year's night and New Year's day is going to dictate how your 2017 is. There are no small actions. There are no unimportant actions. Every one of them is important. All the small ones add up to a big one. And remember that.
Starting point is 00:10:38 So the thing that I want to get across to you guys is ask yourself, do I have my 2017 ready? And what am I doing right now to prepare to make 2017 the best year of my life? Ask yourself that. Make sure that you figure it out and make sure that you make 2017 the best year of your life. If you need anything from me, you can email me rob at mwfmotivation.com. But I'm going to leave you the same way I leave you every single episode. Make it your mission to make somebody else's day better. I appreciate you all and I hope that you have an amazing day.
