Welcome to today's episode. If you have not yet done so, hit that subscribe button so that you
never miss another podcast episode. Today we're going to be talking about what would you be doing
with your time, your money, your energy, all of that stuff. What would you do with your life
if money were no object? Like if you had all of the money in that stuff, what would you do with your life if money were no
object? Like if you had all of the money in the world, what would you be doing? What is your dream
job? And the reason why I ask that is because 85% of people strongly dislike their job.
And by strongly dislike, that's what the polls say from all of the different surveys they've
done. What that means is that they hate, right?
Strongly dislike is a nice word for hate.
So 85% of people hate their job.
So I want to ask you a question.
What is your dream?
What is your dream?
Think about that for a second.
I'm going to give you a second just to think.
If you didn't have the job that you have now, and you didn't have all of the bills that
you had to pay, and you didn't need to
worry about money, and your family was taken care of, and you weren't going to be judged by your
friends or by your family or by anybody else. You didn't have to worry about that. What would you
be doing with your time? What is your dream? What is it? Think about that for a second.
Let yourself act like you're four years old again. There's no such thing as being realistic. There's no standards that need to be
put on you. What would you be doing if you were four years old? And I said, if you have that
four-year-old child still down inside of you, it's still there. You pushed it, pushed it way,
way down. But what would you be doing? Think about it. Next question I have for you is why
haven't you gone for it? Why haven't you gone for it? There's a couple of reasons why I could think
that maybe you haven't gone for it. Number one, you're like, that's not realistic. Or you think,
I have a family to take care of. Or you think, I can't make money doing that. Or you think,
I don't have the time. I've got other stuff I have to do. Well, I want you guys to know this.
The internet is changing everything. The internet is changing everything. Technology
is changing everything. Do you know the person who made the most money on YouTube last year?
You've probably seen the articles if you haven't. It's an eight-year-old boy. His name is Ryan.
He's got a show on YouTube called Ryan's World. And what does he do? He opens up boxes of toys.
He does experiments. He does educational stuff. Eight-year-old Ryan made $26 million last year.
Now, five years ago, if somebody would have said that they made $26 million, even right now,
someone saying that they made $26 million on YouTube, you'd think, that's not realistic.
But he's eight years old. He's been doing it since he was five. He's put three years into it.
He's made $26 million. Last year, he made $22 million. So between last year and this year,
he made $48 million on YouTube. Oh, that's just off of YouTube too. He's also got his own show
on Nickelodeon from it, and he's got contracts with Hulu. So he's eight years old. Past two years,
he made $48 million. He's got a show on YouTube, and he's got contracts with Hulu and Nickelodeon.
Let me tell you about somebody else. There's also a girl in Russia. She's five years old,
and last year she made $18 million off of YouTube. So if they can do it, why not you?
off of YouTube. So if they can do it, why not you? Why are you still holding yourself back?
It's not all the excuses that you've made. It's not that you don't have enough time or that you have a family or that you have to be realistic or that you can't make money doing what you want to
do. No, it's none of those things because everybody is interested in something, right? So if you're
interested in something, guess what? There's somebody else out there that's interested
in that same something that you're interested in. So it's not any of the excuses that you've
given yourself. I would venture to say, I've coached tens of thousands of people over the past
14 years now. I would venture to say that the reason why you're not doing it is because of
fear. Fear. That's the reason why you're not doing it. You're afraid. And this isn't me calling you
out. This is me trying to shed light on something. So my question to you that I want you to think
about right now, and you could jot this down if you have a pen and paper, is what is it that you're
afraid of? Are you afraid of judgment? Are you afraid of being rejected?
Are you afraid of failing at the one thing
that you truly want to do so you don't even do it
because you'd rather not be let down
or feel like a failure?
Or because you are afraid of what your parents would say,
even though you're 47 years old
and your parents still judge you
and you're still worried about what they say?
What is it? What is the reason why? That's what I want you to think
about. And here's the thing. I would ask you to do one thing. One thing right now is try to make
money online. Try to learn how to make money online. The reason why I say that, if you don't,
you might be left behind in five to 10 years.
It's a good chance that you could be. I remember about seven years ago is when I really
had the idea and I was like, okay, I need to learn how to make money online. Because I was
seeing the trends and I was going, okay, number one, I can see that a lot of people are losing
jobs to technology, which I'll talk about in a second. Number two, I can see there's a lot of
people making a lot of money online and most purchases are now happening online. These are
the things I was starting to notice. And I was like, if I don't do this, if I don't figure out
some sort of way to follow my passion and do it as I want to do, I'm going to be left behind.
And I started to notice the trends. And I'm curious with you, have you started to notice
the trends? Because if you don't start learning how to make money on your own now, outside of your job,
you might be left behind in five to 10 years. I was reading an article in Forbes and they said
that technology has taken 90% of the jobs that humans used to have. Just sit with that for a second. Technology has taken 90% of the jobs that humans
used to do. So it's time for you to start thinking outside of the box. It's time to start thinking
differently. It's time to start challenging yourself. It's time to wake up and push yourself
each day and ask yourself, what is it that I truly want to be doing? Because if I don't make changes,
I might be left out of a job. And that's a scary thought, that stuff could change so much in the
next five to 10 years that there's going to be a lot of unemployed people because they didn't wake
up and start to notice the trends. I don't want you to be one of those people. You got to start
thinking outside of the box. And now a word from our sponsor, BetterHelp. I remember before I first
started working on myself,
one of the things that used to hold me back the most was focusing on the problem and not actually finding the solution. And it can be tough to train your brain to stay in
problem-solving mode when faced with a challenge in life. But when you learn how to find your own
solutions, there's no better feeling. And a therapist can help you become a better problem
solver, making it easier to accomplish your goals, no matter how big or how small.
And I personally believe that every single person
should see a therapist at some point in time in their lives.
And it doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with you.
It just means that you're looking to improve
and see from an outsider's perspective
what they see going on with you.
If you're looking to give therapy a try,
BetterHelp is a great option.
It's convenient, accessible, affordable,
and entirely online. You
get matched up with a therapist after filling out a brief survey and then switch therapists if you
need to at any time. So when you want to become a better problem solver, therapy can help you get

See, when we were raised, we didn't think about this type of stuff because when I was born,
the internet didn't even exist. And most of you out there listening to me, the internet didn't
exist or it wasn't what it is now. So we were raised in this box, this box of having to go to
school, this box of having to go to school, this box of having to
go to college, the box of having to work for a company. We had to work for a company. There was
no such thing as, you know, there was a couple of freelancers, maybe. There was nobody making
money on the internet, but the internet didn't exist. So we were raised in this box of having
to work for a company or having to start a company. And if you start a company,
it costs a lot of money to do that. This is back in the day. For most companies nowadays,
it costs almost nothing. When I first started my podcast and started my company, it cost me
almost nothing to do all of this stuff. A couple hundred bucks, maybe. But if you think back 20
years ago to start a company, 30 years ago to start a company, you usually had to have some form of storefront. You had to sign a contract,
a lease that was three years long. You had to put down a down payment for the first and last
month rent. You had to buy all of the stock of whatever you were going to put in your store or
hire some people and all that stuff. That's not needed anymore. So the box that we're used to of
what it takes to start used to of what it takes
to start a company and what it takes to actually grow a company doesn't really exist anymore.
That's crazy to think about. And that's the great thing about the internet. That's the
great thing about YouTube. That's the great thing about Facebook and podcasting and Instagram and
coaching and opening up an eBay store, a Spotify store, a Shopify store, it costs almost nothing.
But see, what happens is we have to take ourselves out of the box that we've been raised in.
We have to see what the future has coming up. Because years ago, it was you worked for a
company. You didn't have your own company because you didn't have enough money to start your own
company, or you had to get investments to start your own company. Now there's so many people that have their own companies
or they're freelancers. Do you know how many people in the US are freelancers?
36% of the US workforce are freelancers. They don't work for a company. So think about this,
36% of people are freelancers. And then you have people that make
money online. And then you have people who own a company. So the number of people who are employees
are getting smaller and smaller and smaller by the year. So if you fast forward 10 years from now,
what's it going to be? I don't know. But all I know is that there's billions upon billions upon
billions of dollars that are being made online. People are buying stuff online. People are buying physical products.
People are buying informational products. So what would you do if money were no object?
What would you be doing? Would you be training people how to ride horses? Would you be giving
guitar lessons? What is it? Because if you have a true passion, here's the thing that I've come to realize.
If you have a true passion, you don't see work as work.
And the reason why is because you love what you do.
As corny as the phrase is, I can say that it is 100% true.
We've heard the cliche phrase,
when you love what you do, you don't work.
You'll never work again a day in your life.
It's absolutely true.
And the reason why is because you don't see it as work. When I first started my company, I was putting 12 or 15 hour days in.
I enjoyed the hell out of it. And the reason why is because what I was doing then,
I would still be doing even if I wasn't getting paid for it because it is my passion.
Understanding humans and psychology and learning about neurology and psychology and the human
brain and meditation and how all of this works, I'm just obsessed with it. I think about it all day long. I can't stop
thinking about it. When I meet somebody, I think in my head, I wonder what their story is. I wonder
the relationship with their parents are like. When I watch two people talk, I start going,
oh man, and I can start noticing patterns because I've been doing this for so long.
I would still be doing this, even if this, I would still be doing that even if this wasn't my job. It's just what I love to do. So when I work
and I put in hours after five o'clock sometimes, and I put in hours sometimes, I'm recording this
on the weekend. Sometimes I record some stuff on the weekend. I don't see it as something like,
oh, damn it. Well, I got to go ahead and do this. It's like, no, this is exciting to me.
So if it were Sunday for you right now at noon, what would be exciting for you?
Now I know some of you are like, oh, well, what would be exciting for me at noon?
Watching football. Okay. Well, why don't you start a football podcast?
You know, or the New York Giants, your team, why don't you start a New York Giants football
podcast? Just start putting it out there. You'd be surprised if you go really hard and really,
really hard at something that you're passionate about, how much you will grow,
how much your following will grow, and how much money will start to be thrown at you.
Because most people are like, well, how can I make money on a football podcast? I'll tell you this.
I know people that are making millions of dollars off of a football podcast.
If you're like, you know what? I like riding horses. I can't make any money starting a horse
podcast or starting a horse YouTube. No, you can. And you can make a lot of money doing it.
Because what happens is when you love what you're doing, you put hours and hours and hours and hours
into it because you love it. And when you put hours and hours and hours and hours into something,
what happens? You master it. And when you become a master of something, people will pay you for your knowledge
or for your skill. That's what you have to realize. So I want you to take this podcast episode and
don't let it scare the crap out of you, but have it shake something up inside of you where if
you're still doing something that you hate, realize it might be time for you to start thinking outside the box because jobs are disappearing and you need to
go out and do what you truly want to do. Even if your job doesn't disappear, wouldn't you rather
do something that you love versus doing something that you strongly dislike, aka hate?
There was an eight-year-old kid that made $26 million on YouTube last year.
He made $22 million the year before that. There's a five-year-old girl that made $18 million on
YouTube last year. Why can't you do it? Do you want to know why? The only reason why is because
you are holding yourself back. So that's all I got for you for today's episode. If you love this
episode, please share it with someone that you know and love. And I'm going to leave you the same way
I leave you every single episode. Make it your mission to make someone else's day better.
I appreciate you, and I hope that you have an amazing day.
