200 and something, 200 some odd people in there. I'm not sure the exact number off the top of my
head, but it's been amazing. It's been really cool to see everybody already talking. We already have
people who, you know, I put up a status or whatever you want to call the status, a comment and said, Hey, where's everybody from? You know,
why don't you guys meet each other so that you could see if there's anybody from your area.
People are commenting. They've met people who live in their area. So literally the group has
already brought people together in the cities that they live in. So they have extra accountability in
there. And, uh, the group, man, everyone is just super active. And you can tell that everyone's
so supportive to help each other out, to help each other grow, to help each other through this
challenge in this process. So not only are they excited to get to coaching for me that starts on
June 24th, but at the same time, the cool thing about it is that everybody is also helping each
other. It warms my heart to see. It's just the coolest thing in the world to see, to be honest

So tonight we're going to be talking about, So tonight we're going to be talking about today.
We're going to be talking about following through. So it was, it was interesting. And the reason why
we're going to talk about this, I was actually looking through my old, old Facebook photos.
And when I used to run an office, you know, I had a few hundred sales reps that worked under me when
I was, you know, 21, 22, 23 years old. And the one thing that I had above my door, as soon as you walked into the
office is it said, follow through in huge letters. It was, I mean, it was, it was literally probably
two feet tall by four feet wide. And it said, follow through. And the reason why is because
the thing that bothered me the most was when people said they were going to do something
and they didn't do it. Right. I was always taught by my mom that, you know, when you say you're going to do something, do it. When you say you're going
to show up at four o'clock, be earlier than four o'clock. Don't be late. Being late is disrespectful,
right? How many people do you know that are late to everything? Maybe you're late to everything.
You need to realize that's disrespectful. Follow through. If you say you're going to be at a place
at a certain time, you have to follow through. If somebody was in my office and they said,
I'm going to come in and make a hundred phone calls. Well, that they could not leave the office
until they make a hundred phone calls. The reason why I say this is because I am very, very big
on the phrase, the way you do one thing is the way you do everything. So if you're not following
through on, you know, let's say you want to go in and do 10 minutes on the treadmill to warm up
and you do nine minutes and 30 seconds, right?
You didn't do what you said you were going to do. You did not follow through and you need to have
that mentality of, I do not fall short. I do not let myself come up short. You have to follow
through on everything that you say you're going to do. Because if you start the mentality, if you,
if you start the idea of, ah, you know, I basically did it, even though you didn't 100% do it.
Nine minutes and 30 seconds is not 10 minutes. You basically did it. You didn't do it, right?
So if you basically need to, if you need to make 100 phone calls and you basically make 75 phone
calls, you basically got close, right? That's not following through. And so the way you do one thing
is the way you do everything. You need to do what you say you will do.
If you start it, finish it.
I'm going to say that again because that's very important.
If you start it, finish it. Because one of the most common things that I'm told by people is this.
I get all these emails, all these people messaging me and saying,
hey, I want to change my life, all these things.
Rob, I'm really good.
I hear this all the time.
I get this message all the time.
Rob, I'm really, really good at starting on something, but I always have trouble following through. I
always have trouble finishing. I always lose motivation halfway through. You know, I'm really
good at starting stuff. Like for instance, this 60 day challenge that's coming up. I know a lot
of people that are in there. If there wasn't the accountability, if there wasn't the coaching,
all of that stuff, they'd probably give up after seven to 10 days. And that's just me being honest because that's
how most people are. The reason why I set up the accountability inside the Ironman challenge
is because I needed the accountability as well. 60 days is a long freaking time.
And so you need to learn to build the repetition of following through. Whenever you say you're
going to do something, you have to follow through and do it. Because do you really,
really want to be known as a person that doesn't do what they say they're going to do?
Who lies about stuff, who says they're going to show up at four and they show up at 4.15?
Like, you know, for me, I don't know if you're in the same situation. I just don't want to be
known as a person that doesn't follow through.
You know, and here's the thing.
If you can't commit to something, don't commit to it right away.
One of the things I find that a lot of people, the reason why they don't follow through is
because they commit to something before they're for sure that they can commit to it, right?
They commit to something before they know that it's possible.
And you can't do that.
It's okay to take extra time. It's okay
to see if your schedule works. You know, a lot of people are like, oh man, we should go do this.
And everyone's like, yeah, that'd be awesome. Let's do it. And then they don't, you know,
everybody doesn't follow through. You have to realize, you have to take your time,
make sure that you can do it. But then when you commit, it's either your mindset has to be this.
If I get hit by a truck, I'm still going to do this. Right. I used to always say that. I still
say it to my one-on-one coaching clients now where they say, I say, all right, what's your,
your goal for the next week? And we figure out their assignments and their goals for the next
week. I say, if you get hit by a truck, you're still going to hit this goal, right? Because it needs to be that
mindset where someone's like, you know, I need to make a hundred phone calls this week, a hundred
call calls. I say, okay, if you get hit by a, what you're telling me is if you get hit by a truck,
you're still going to make a hundred phone calls, right? Yes. Okay. Because then there's no other
excuses because if they don't get hit by a truck, which hopefully they don't, but if they don't get
hit by a truck, then their week was better and they had already committed to it. Their week was better than getting hit by a truck and they had
already committed to doing it whether or not they get hit by a truck. The way you do one thing is
the way you do everything. Get that tattooed on your forehead because if you're letting yourself
come up short just a little bit in some of the small things, I guarantee you, you're letting yourself
come up short in the big things. You know, people are always like, oh, it's not that big of a deal.
You know, I got off the treadmill at nine minutes and 50 seconds when my goal was 10 minutes. No,
it is a big deal. Because I guarantee if you're coming up short there, you're coming up short
just a little bit as a parent. You're coming up short just a little bit as a father, as a mother,
as a spouse. You're coming up short just a little bit. You don't want to come up short.
You want to surpass your goals. You know, if you come up short just a little bit of whatever it is,
if you don't follow through a hundred percent, guess what? You're going to come up short of all
of your goals. Think about that for a second. It's a question I always ask people. Do you fall,
do you come up short on most of your goals? Most people do. And the reason why is because they're used to that,
the repetition of not having to follow through. So for this episode, I want you to sit and think
with yourself when we get done today, am I the type of person who doesn't always follow through?
And if you are, you know, you need to write follow through
somewhere, make a screensaver on your phone, whatever it is that you need to do, a wallpaper,
all of those things. And you need to start following through. And I got three questions
for you that I want you to kind of, you know, take some time today, journal through. You know,
one of the things that that's cool is that I'm going to be teaching how to journal through this
process, but you know, through the Iron Mind 60 challenge, but I'll give you a real quick idea.
The way that you journal is you ask a question and then you answer it. That's the
simplest way of doing it without going too in depth. So I got three questions for you and I
want you to write them down, ask them to yourself, and I want you to answer them in your journal.
Okay. Because journaling, in my personal opinion, if you can create the habit of journaling,
it is the number one self-development tool that there is. Like some people are like,
that's funny. Like you have working out and you have all these other things, your, your mindset challenge, but you have
journaling that journaling and visualization. That's weird. I'm like journaling and visualization
are actually probably the two most important things in there, right? The journaling is how
you develop self-awareness, how you start to figure out your patterns and unwire all of the
patterns that you have. So the three questions I have for you, I want you to
jot down, is where am I not following through? Jot that down real quick. Where am I not following
through in my life? And do a whole diagnosis. Go through, figure out what the issue is. This is
the issue here, this issue here. Go through, figure out what it is. Diagnose yourself. Oh,
here's the place where I have this issue, now I need to figure out what it is. Diagnose yourself. Oh, here's what I,
here's the place where I have this issue. Now I need to do this. Here's a place to have this issue. I need to do this. Here's a place to have an issue. I need to do this. So where am I not
following through? Second thing is where am I coming up short? Right? These are two separate
things. Not following through is not doing what you say you're going to do. Coming up short would
be coming up short of a goal that you wanted to hit, right? Where am I not following through? Where am I coming up short? And the next question is,
what do I need to do to make sure that I'm a person that follows through?
What do I need to do? What would make it easier on myself? Those are the great questions to ask
yourself and to
start figuring out. So that's what I got for you today. Once again, if you're interested in joining
the Iron Mind Challenge, we close on and we actually start and close. So the day we actually
start and close the door so no one else can sign up is June 24th. So you need to make sure that
you absolutely 100% join before then. And also at the same time, make sure that you go to
ironmind60.com if you need some extra information.
