Welcome to today's episode of the Mindset Mentor Podcast. I'm your host, Rob Dial. And if you have
not yet done so, hit that subscribe button so that you never miss another episode. Today,
we're going to talk about the different categories of your life and how to improve
in every single category. So this is something that I used to do quite a
bit ago. And I did for a long time with my one-on-one coaching clients when I used to do
one-on-one coaching. And when we would have a call, we would go over these six areas of their
life, every single call at the beginning of the call before we did anything else. And if you have
a pen and paper, I absolutely 100% recommend that you grab a pen
and paper right now so that you can go through this with me. If you're driving your car, no worry,
we can do this in another time. You can skip to another episode or you can listen to this episode
and come back to it. But I definitely recommend that you sit down with a pen and paper because
there's going to be a few things that you definitely want to jot down. We're going to go
through six areas of your life. The first one in the acronym to remember this by
is CRIPS. C-R-I-P-E-S. C-R-I-P-E-S. CRIPS. So category number one, and what we're going to do
is this, is your career. I'm going to go over and I'm going to talk about real quickly each one of
these different categories. And what I want you to do is I want you to rate yourself on a scale of one to 10 in each
one of these categories.
So the first one is your career.
What would you rate yourself on a scale of one to 10 in your career?
You know, are you happy with it?
Are you in love with it?
Do you hate it?
How long have you been there?
How much longer do you want to stay?
You know, if you're building your own business.
been there? How much longer do you want to stay? You know, if you're building your own business.
So like a one would be you absolutely are miserable and you're considering quitting every single day of your life. That'd be a one. A 10 would be like you love your job more than
anything else in the world. And there's not one single thing that can make you fall more in love
with your job. You literally wake up and you're like, this is the best day of my life every single day because you get to go into your job or have your career. So that would
be one to 10. So what would you rate yourself honestly on a scale of one to 10 in your career?
Go ahead and write that down on a piece of paper. Okay. Next thing is your relationships. So R
stands for relationships. This can be your romantic relationships. This
can be your friendships. This can be your business relationships. This could be people
that are in the same field as you. This could be networking relationships. This could be your
mentors. This could be the top five, the five people that you spend the most time with. Because
as I said in the last episode, your network equals your net worth. So on a scale of 1 to 10, what would you rate your relationships?
One being like they're all terrible.
You're all alone.
You don't hang out with anybody.
Nobody loves you.
That would be a 1.
A 10 would be like your relationships, your romantic, your friendship, your business,
your networking, your top 5, your mentors.
All of them are at a level 10.
They're all perfect.
Nothing you could ever do could improve them.
What would you rate yourself on a scale of one to 10?
Go ahead and jot it down. The next one for I stands for intellectual. So intellectually,
you know, over the past month, six months, whatever it is, what would you rate yourself
intellectually? How much have you been reading? How many courses have you taken? How much time,
money, and energy have you invested into your, you invested into your mind, into your business,
into your personal development?
What would you rate yourself intellectually?
How many events have you gone to?
How much have you been watching tutorials on YouTube or podcasts have you been listening
to?
On a scale of one to 10, 10 being
like, you know, one being absolutely terrible, the worst in the world at intellectual, you know,
you don't even know how to read. You don't ever want to learn how to read all of that stuff.
And a 10 would be like, you are the smartest person that exists in this world. What would
you rate yourself? One to 10. Okay. Next we have physical. P stands for physical. So your physical body, what would you
rate it? You know, you have your body. There's a lot of parts to it. Not just the way that you look,
but looking the way that you look is part of it. The way that you feel is another part of it. How
about how often do you work out? You know, do you work out as often as you want to do? You know,
are you able to run as far as you want to, or able to work out as intensely as you want to, you know, what type of food do you put inside of your body? Do you need to run as far as you want to? Are you able to work out as intensely as you want to?
What type of food do you put inside of your body?
Do you need to improve your diet or is your diet absolutely perfect?
What about sleep?
Sleep is a very important part of the way you physically feel.
So on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being like you're completely out of shape, you've never lifted
a weight, it's ridiculous. You're just so pissed
off at yourself for your body. That would be number one. Number 10 would be like you basically
are on the cover of every single magazine, right? Like you are perfect. You have the perfect body
and you look and feel incredible every single moment of the day. On a scale of one to 10,
what would you rate yourself physically? All right, next is E. E stands for emotional. How do you feel throughout the day?
Emotionally, you know, how do you feel? Is it happy? How often do you feel sad? How often do
you feel anxious? How often do you feel depressed? How often do you feel peaceful or joyous?
You know, on a scale of one to 10, what would you rate yourself emotionally? One is just, you're an absolute mess. You're crying, then you're angry, then you're pissed off,
then you're throwing things like you're just emotionally a mess. A 10 is basically like you
are Buddha. You nothing, you react to nothing. You never get emotional. You are so, you know,
peaceful and chill all day long and nothing has ever pissed you off. That would be a 10.
So what would you rate yourself on a scale of one to 10 emotionally? Okay. And then the last one
is spiritual. Now this could be religion for some of you guys. It could be church. It could be
temple. Uh, but for some of you guys, it's not, you know, it's spiritual. You can be a spiritual
person, but not be a religious person. Right. And nowadays that's actually, it's a lot of people that I know that are very, very spiritual people,
but they do not stay in the confines of any religion. It's up to you, you know? So it could
be yoga. Yoga could help you be more spiritual. Meditation, you know, how often do you do yoga?
Do you want to get more into it? How often do you meditate? All of those things. On a scale of,
on a scale, on a scale of one to 10,
what would you rate yourself spiritually? One is like you've never been to a church or yoga
and meditated. You are completely inept at that. And 10 is like you are basically floating off
into, you're going to become a light body and basically ascend into become one of the ascended
masters because you're perfect. So on a scale of one to 10, what would you rate yourself spiritually?
Now, here's the secret of what we're going to do. You're going to take your career,
your relationships, intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual. You're going to add
all of your numbers up. So add them all up, find the number that you come up with. And this is why
it's important to have these on a piece of paper, you know, because we're also going to come up with
a plan after we get done with this. So on a, you know, you're going to take all of these on a
scale of one to 10. So take all of your numbers, add them all up, get a total, and then divide
that total by six. And what's going to happen is you're going to come up with a number, you know,
it'll be like 6.35, which should basically be, if you have a 6.35, you just move the decibel over one spot, that would be a 63.5%. Right? So out of a hundred, a 63.5%. So we're going to roll with that number.
Let's say you, you add them all up, you divide it by six and you come up with a 6.35. You move
the decibel over one spot to the right. You have a 63.5%. Now here's where usually when I go through this exercise, people really start to go,
oh my God, this is crazy, is you just rated yourself, let's say if it's a 63.5%,
a low C. If you were giving your life a rating, a grade, you just gave yourself a low C.
Now more than ever, we need to make sure that we're breathing the cleanest air possible.
And that's why molecule is important because it's not just an improvement on existing outdated technology,
but a complete reinvention of air purification.
Molecule's core technology, PEOC, which is photoelectrochemical oxidation,
was developed to actually destroy harmful pollutants in the air, like VOCs,
bacteria, mold, and viruses, instead of just collecting them on filters. And over 80% of
people living in urban areas that monitor air pollution are exposed to air quality below the
World Health Organization standards. And worst news is that indoor air can be up to five times
worse than the outdoor air, according to the EPA. And
most of us spend 90% of our time indoors. And so if you're out there and you're ready to change
the air quality that you have inside of your house, inside of your office, inside of the
places that you inhabit, all you need to do is go to molecule.com and at checkout, enter the code dial, D-I-A-L. So that's molecule, M-O-L-E-K-U-L-E.com and enter the code dial.
All right, let's get you back to the show right now. Right? So, you know, I haven't been to school
in a long time, but if the numbers are still the same, a 90 to a 100 is an A, an 89 to an 80 is a B,
is an A, 89 to an 80 is a B, a 79 to a 70 is a C, and a 69 to a 60 is a D, and then 59 below is an F. So look at that number and figure out what grade you'd give yourself. Usually when I
do this, most people, if I'm being honest with you, are between a C and a D. And that's just
pretty common. I mean, very rarely, Actually, I don't know if I've ever
seen anybody get to a B or an A in their life. And that's okay. It's not a big deal because we
can improve. That's the most important thing. It's not about getting emotional and judging
yourself. It's about seeing where we can improve and how can we improve. And we're going to talk
about that in just a second. So you look at that number and you figure out, okay, I literally have a 63.5%. So I got a low C if I were to rate my entire life right now.
And I want you to feel what that feels like to go, you know what?
Out of the one life that I get to live that we know of, maybe we get another one, maybe
a reincarnated, who knows?
I don't know the answer to it.
But out of the one life that we definitely know that we do get, because we're here, I
just got a C, a low C, almost a D in my life. And I want you to feel that and be like, oh my
God. Because for a lot of people, this is a wake up call of like, I'm not living anywhere near
what my true potential could be. What do I need to do to improve? You know, that's how you rated
yourself, honestly.
So it's time to wake up. These are the six main areas of your life.
And so what we need to do now is I don't want to just make you feel bad and end the episode,
is I want to come up with a plan with you. I want to figure out how we can move the needle,
how we can make your life better right now. And so what I want you to do, and this is why you
needed that pen and paper, now you see, is because I want you to go through each one of these, career, relationships,
intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual. And I want you to ask yourself the question,
what do I need to do over the next 30 days to move the needle by one point in each of these
over the next 30 days? I don't need you to come up with a big massive list for your career and for your relationships
because the one thing that I do know is the more things that you give yourself,
the less likely you are to do them.
It's called paralysis by analysis.
If there's too much to do, the human mind will usually do nothing.
And so what I want you to do is I want you to come up with one thing
that would move the needle in each one of these one point over the
next 30 days. So what I want you to ask yourself is looking at your career, what would move the
needle one point over the next 30 days? The next one, relationships. What would move the needle
one point in your relationships over the next 30 days. Come up with a plan for that. In your
intellectual, what would move the needle one extra point over the next 30 days?
In your physical, what would move the needle one point over the next 30 days? In your emotional,
what would move the needle one point over the next 30 days? And then in your spiritual,
what would move the needle one point over the next 30 days? And then your spiritual, what would move the needle one point over the next 30 days? And you come up with a plan because now
what you do is you literally have the things that you need to concentrate on. Six things that you
need to concentrate on to improve each one of them, career, relationship, intellectual, physical,
emotional, and spiritual. You now have that. Now what I want you to do is I want you to take 10
minutes after we get done
and this episode finishes, put this on pause, don't listen to any more. And now it's time to
actually take action on these and to find all of the things. Cause here's the thing. You can listen
to my podcast all day long and that's great. But if you don't actually take something and put it
into your life, it's completely worthless. So what I want you to do is I want you to take each of
these six things, one thing for each of the categories, and I want you to figure out and plan how to get these done
over the next 30 days. So if you're at a 6.35, a 63.5%, a low C in your life, what do you need to
do to move the needle one point for each one of them, which would get you up to a, uh, you know,
a 73. Oh damn. I just realized I'm looking at it. A 63.5%. If I rated myself, that is actually not
a low C it's a low D. So I'm actually trying to get myself into the C category. I just realized
I'm looking at the numbers. I'm like, whoops, I messed that one up. So for those of you guys
who are listening to me, you're like, ah, Rob, you got that wrong. You were right. I did get it wrong. So this is me correcting it.
So if you're at a 63.5%, that is a low D. That's almost an F in your life. And so if you move
everything one point, then you would be rating yourself 30 days from now, a 73.5%, which is a C.
That alone should make you feel better because you're never going to be 100%.
If you really master your life, maybe you could get to an A. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe. But what
if we were sitting in the high B category? How much better would you feel about yourself
if you rated yourself and it came out to like an 88%? To go from a 63.5 to an 88% over years and years and years,
that's something to look back and be excited about.
So what I want you to do is I want you to come up
with how you can take each one of those things,
take 10 minutes, just take 10 minutes of your day right now,
each one of these things and move the needle
by one point every single one of them.
And now that you know what they are,
you put them in your schedule
and you figure out how to get them done
over the next 30 days.
So super simple, but it's going to take you putting the work in. And that's the important
thing. So that's what I got for you for today's episode. If you love this episode, please share
with someone that you know and love. Please go ahead and share this on your Instagram,
Rob Dial Jr. Tag me in an R-O-B-D-I-A-L-J-R. And I would greatly, greatly appreciate it.
And I'm going to leave it the same way I leave you every single episode.
Make it your mission, make someone else's day better.
I appreciate you and I hope that you have an amazing day.
