to thank you for sharing. And today I want to talk about giving up, which is crazy because
I'm talking about how well the podcast is doing. And now I'm going to talk about giving up
because sometimes you have to give up. And as they would say in
Frozen, you have to let it go. And I will tell you this. I don't mean give up on your dreams.
I don't mean give up on stuff that you want in your life. Don't ever give up on stuff that you
want. Don't give up on things that matter. Don't give up on your dreams. But what I'm talking about
is giving up on things that are getting in your way. I know that we've all been in a situation before where we realize that we need
to stop something and to give it up. But it's hard to make change. It's hard to give stuff up
sometimes. And this could be anything in life. It could be a job that you're in that you hate. It
could be a relationship that is holding you back from being the person that you want to life. It could be a job that you're in that you hate. It could be a relationship that
is holding you back from being the person that you want to be. It could be friends that you've
known for a long time and you might love them as friends, but you might need to distance yourself
from them because they're holding you back or their mindsets are not matching the mindset that
you have now or the one that you want to turn into. It could be the current degree that you're
pursuing if you're in college and you're saying, crap, this is not what I want, but I've spent so much time putting into this degree.
Could be fears that are holding you back from being the person that you want. It could be
failures that you've had in the past that have now made you feel like you can't do certain things.
It could be an unhealthy lifestyle that you have. It could be the foods that you eat that are
holding you back and making you gain weight. It could be the foods that you eat that are holding you back
and making you gain weight. It could be the fact that your lifestyle is not going to the gym and
you know you need to give that up and start going to the gym. It could be a mindset that's holding
you back. Maybe you were a shy person in the past and it's hard for you to go out and start talking
to people. It could be addictions that you've had or that you currently had. It could be hatred
that's inside of you that you're holding towards somebody and they probably have no freaking idea,
but you have to give it up. It could be hatred or resentment towards your parents or something
that they did. It could be anything that's holding you back. And I know for some of you listening
right now, not everyone, but there's some of you that are
out there that have something that's holding you back from getting to the person that you want to
be and becoming the person that you want to be. And it's getting in the way of making meaningful
steps in your life, but you're still holding onto it and letting it get in the way, even though you
know that you need to get rid of it. I'm here to tell you, whatever it is that you're going through, whatever it is that you're holding on to,
at some point in time, you have to just say, screw it. There's no meaning in me holding
on to this. I have to let it go. Like they say in Frozen, you have to let it go.
Don't keep the BS. When it's not serving you anymore, you have to make the decision.
If it's not helping you become a better person, if it's not helping you change and grow and become
better, there's no reason for it to be in your life anymore. It could be anything. And you have
to ask yourself this question, is this blank helping or hindering me into evolving into the person that I
want to become in the future? Is this relationship helping or hindering me? Is this job helping or
hindering me? Is this friendship or lack thereof helping or hindering me? Is this fear that I'm
holding in my mind that's not letting me take the next step forward, is it helping or hindering me? Is this degree that I'm pursuing helping or hindering me? Is this
grudge that I'm holding on to when the other person probably doesn't even know how much it
pisses me off, is it helping or hindering me? Is the mindset that I'm not good enough helping
or hindering me? Is the lifestyle that I'm currently living and pursuing, is it helping
or hindering me? Is this hatred that I hold inside of myself, is it helping or hindering me?
It's all different things for different people.
And you might not be dealing with it right now, but there's a good chance that you will
have to let something go in the future.
And I'm here to tell you, if it's not serving you, it needs to go.
You only get one try at this life.
So why continue to waste your precious freaking time
on something that isn't serving you anymore? I understand the main reason why we hold on
to something is because we're afraid of changing. Change is hard. It's scary. I get it. But nine
times out of 10, change is actually a good thing. So do you need to make the change?
It's a couple of things I want you to ask yourself to figure out if you're in this situation or to
figure out if there's something that you need to let go of. The first one is, is this negatively
affecting other areas of my life? Is this relationship, is this job, is this fear,
is this mindset, whatever it is, is this negatively affecting other areas of my life? That's the first question.
The second question is, is it starting to make you feel poorly about yourself? You know,
does this relationship make you feel poorly about yourself? Is the first thing you think about
in the morning when you wake up and it makes you feel poorly about yourself?
Is the first thing you think about in the morning when you wake up and it makes you feel poorly about yourself?
And the most important one, the question I'll ask you, tell you to ask yourself is what
does my gut tell me?
What does my gut tell me that I need to do?
Most of the time, your gut feeling is always right.
And what's holding you back, what's making you not make the correct decision is what
your mind is telling you.
Your gut might say, I need to break up with this person is what your mind is telling you. Your gut might say,
I need to break up with this person. But your mind might tell you, well, then I'm going to be lonely
and maybe I'll just hold on to him for as long as I can. So what does your gut tell you that you
need to do? Your gut is almost always right. You have to trust it. So that's what I'm going to ask
yourself. What does your gut tell you to do? So those questions one more time is, is this negatively affecting other areas of my life?
Is it starting to make me feel poorly about myself?
And what does my gut tell me?
Those are the three things.
So really short episode for today.
I just wanted to bring that out for you guys to think about,
to listen to, to realize that you get one try at this life.
Why waste your precious time,
one of your only
non-renewable resources on something that isn't serving you and adding value and helping you
become the person that you want to be. So what I'm going to leave you with is the same way I
leave you every single episode. Make it your mission today to make somebody else's day better.
I appreciate you. I hope that if something's holding you back, you can find the strength to
let it go. And I hope that you have an absolutely incredible,
mind-blowing, amazing freaking day.
Well, that's it for today's podcast.
