Welcome to the Mindset and Motivation Podcast, one of the top motivational podcasts in the
world.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we come out with a short, to the point, no BS episode
to help make massive changes in your mind and transform you from who you are now to
who you want to be.
My name is Rob Dial, and the podcast starts now.
Welcome to today's episode. If you have not yet done so, hit that subscribe button so that you
never miss another episode. And last but not least, you know, it's been a heartwarming for me to see how
many people are really interested in changing their lives. We have, I literally announced less
than 48 hours ago, this 60 day challenge was open and over 154 people have already joined in the
Iron Mind 60 challenge and are ready to change their life, which is awesome to me
because we don't start for almost another two weeks, which means that there's a lot of people
that are going to be joining in on this. It's amazing to see the comments, everyone talking
to each other. Everyone's creating checklists, talking about the diets that they're going to
stick to, how they're going to stick to the different mindsets, the books they're reading,
all of those different things. So it's been heartwarming at the least to see how many people have joined in. So 154 people so far have joined
in and we're still getting more people joining in. I want to get as many people as possible.
My goal is to get a thousand people in this group. And the reason why is because if I get a thousand
people to join this group and we change all of our lives, if a thousand people's lives change,
then I would guess that over the course of your life, you're going our lives, if a thousand people's lives change, then I would guess that
over the course of your life, you're going to affect at least a thousand people in some sort
of way. And a thousand times a thousand is a million people. If I'm doing my math right,
I'm pretty sure that's what it is. A thousand times a thousand is a million people. So
just by doing this, a million people's lives will be affected because if you're one of the thousand
and then your life is affected
and you go out and over the course of your life, you affect a thousand people in some sort of way,
even if it's just through a coffee shop and you have a simple conversation with somebody and
their life is affected in some sort of way, you've changed their life. That's a million people's
lives changed. That's how you create the ripple effect throughout the world. And that's what I'm
so excited about for this. And if you don't know what I'm talking about with the Iron Mind Challenge,
go back a couple episodes, listen to my episode called Challenge Yourself and Change Yourself
a couple days ago and listen about it where I talk in depth about what the entire thing is about,
how exactly it works, everything about it so that you know. But basically what we're going
to be doing is we're going to be challenging our self for 60 days straight, 60 days in a row. We're not going to have any alcohol. We're going to stick to a
specific diet. We're going to work out every single day. We're going to journal every single
day to see who we truly want to be. We're going to visualize the life that we truly want every
single day as well. And we're going to take a cold shower every single day to challenge ourselves. So
that's the 60 days. We're going to have six points over six days that have to be hit. And if we miss one day, if somebody screws
up one day, they have to go back to day one. So it's cool because the structure's there,
the community's there, and I'm going to be putting up a video every single day inside of it. And for
everyone who joins, they also get my Iron Mind 60 Primer video course, where I'm going to be
teaching over two hours of how to prep for
this, how to create your why, how to journal correctly, how to visualize all of that stuff.
So if you're interested in learning more about it, go to ironmind60.com, I-R-O-N-M-I-N-D-6-0.com.
We start on June 24th, doors close on June 24th. We will not accept anybody else on June 25th, June 26th,
any of that. Once we start, we start. So if you're interested, go to ironmind6.com. I would love to
have you inside of the group. So today we're going to be talking about your potential.
One of the things that really bugs me the most, bugged me the most when I first started getting
into management, starting to train people. And first off, let me pause real quick. If you notice my mic does not sound as high quality as normal,
I'm traveling and I forgot my microphone for the very first time ever. So I'm actually recording
this for my iPhone right now. But I have a new mic being delivered two days from now. So we will
have the normal quality. So I apologize if my iPhone is not classy enough for you.
But when we're talking to live in your potential,
I remember when I first started in Cutco
and I had my first Cutco office
and I had trained a few thousand people.
It used to drive me crazy
because I saw so many people with so much potential,
but they just weren't living up to it, right?
And my manager said to me,
he said, you can lead a horse to water,
but you can't make a drink.
And what he meant by that was you can give somebody all of the information
to help them be the person they want to be, to change their life, to be successful. But what
they do with the information is up to them. If they take the information and actually implement
it, that's up to them. And you cannot force somebody as much as you wish that you
could, you cannot force somebody to do something they don't want to do. So when I'm talking about
potential, I guess that you're probably, you probably listen to this podcast because you feel
like you have more potential. You feel like you have something deep down inside of you that,
you know, has not been released to the world. Maybe you go to a job that you hate every
single day or a job that maybe you don't even hate it. Maybe you just, you know, deal with it,
but you feel like you have more to give the world, right? You feel like there's more that you're
capable of. You feel like you have more potential. Well, that's what we're going to talk about today.
We're going to talk about what is your potential. And, you know, if you're not driving your car
right now, I want you to go through this exercise with me. And this is, this is a small visualization exercise. I actually do
this. I'm going to do this with everybody. Part of this with everybody that's inside of the Iron
Mind 60 Challenge. I do this with my one-on-one coaching clients. And what I want you to do is
close your eyes for just a moment. Okay. Just close your eyes, take a couple of deep breaths.
guys. Take a couple of deep breaths. And I want to ask you this question. If you had 365 perfect days, where would you be in one year? Right? 365 perfect days. I mean that everything went your
way. Everything were the most perfect days you've ever had. Where would you be? Think about that for
a second. Just think about where you would be, where your life would be, where your bank account would be, where your relationships would be, where your happiness would be, where your career would be. Where would everything be? Just think about that for a second. Okay. What about in 10 years? If you had 3,650 perfect days, where would you be? What would your life look like? Think about that. How much money
would you have in your bank account? Visualize all of this stuff. When I talk about the power
of visualization, how in the Iron Mind 60 challenge, we're going to be doing visualization
every single day. This is why it's powerful. I want you to actually visualize for a second.
Think about where your life could be 3,650 days from today. If everything went perfectly, you had the perfect morning routine.
You had the perfect diet.
You had the perfect workout routine.
Your career went perfectly.
You knocked every single sales meeting out of the park.
Where would you be in 10 years?
Where would your relationships be?
Where would your bank account be?
Where would your career be?
Where would every single part of your life be?
Just think about it.
Visualize it for a second. Where would your career be? Where would every single part of your life be? Just think about, visualize it for a second. You know, where's your house? If you have the perfect house 10 years from
now, where is it? What does it look like? Is it on the beach? Do you have property? Do you live in,
you know, the city? 3,650 days. Perfect. Where are you? Okay. How much do you weigh?
What time do you wake up? All of those things.
Now, what I want you to do is open your eyes, get out a pen and paper and jot down all of the things that you saw. Take this seriously. Don't just listen to my voice. Don't just listen to
my voice, please. If you have to pause it and wait till you get home because you're driving your car,
pause it and wait till you get home. Just do this exercise. I promise you it'll change your life. Okay. Get a pen and paper out. And I want you to jot down every single
trait of that perfect version of yourself 10 years from today. Okay. Of that perfect version of
yourself. What I mean by every single trait, what time does that perfect version of yourself wake up?
Okay. What is that perfect version of yourselves?
You know, what do they weigh?
What do they look like?
How often do they go to the gym?
What type of food do they eat?
Do they drink alcohol?
Do they drink coffee?
Do they wake up at six?
Do they wake up at five?
Do they take their kids to school every single day?
What do they eat?
Who do they hang out with? What does that perfect day look like for them? You know, plan out this perfect version of yourself. If everything, allow yourself to dream just for a moment. What does
this perfect version of yourself look like? How much money is in your bank account? What kind of
car are you driving in 10 years?
What does your family look like in 10 years? What do relationships look like in 10 years?
What does your business look like? What does your career look like? What does your happiness look
like? How many places have you traveled to? Write down as many traits as you possibly can
about this perfect version of yourself. Go for it. Dream. Act as if there's absolutely no governor on your life.
Just allow yourself to be like a little kid again. Just dream as if there were just
no limits. Write down all of those traits. Okay. And here's what I want you to do.
You know, if you want to take more time, you can pause me, take more time, whatever it is that you need to do.
What I need you to do is this.
Fill in the gap.
What do I mean by fill in the gap?
What I mean is, what does this perfect version of yourself do 10 years from today?
And here's the thing.
Here's the secret.
And every time I tell this to somebody, they're always like, oh my God, this is true. Here it is. Are you ready?
It's never about hitting your goals, having success, becoming that version of yourself
10 years from today has nothing to do with what you do. It has everything to do with who you become. If you become that person
10 years from today, right now, you will have the life that you saw in your visualization
10 years from today. It's never about going out into the external world.
It's never about what you need to do.
It's who you need to become
in order to attract the life that you want.
This is where everybody makes mistakes.
This is like the big secret that I give to,
you know, high paying,
I've actually never said this in the podcast.
Game, I'm kind of letting all the,
kind of letting everything out of the bag. It's not what you need to do. It's who you need to become
because if you become the person that can do these things, then the life is automatically
going to come to you. That's the secret. It's never what you need to do to get the success you
want. It's who you need to become to get the success that you want. So why am I talking about this?
Well, then all you need to do from now on is just look at all of the traits of the perfect
version of yourself that you just made.
What time you wake up, what food you eat, how often this person works out, what their
sleep schedule looks like, who they hang out with, what their network looks like, what
their mentors look like, all of those things.
And then just every day,
become more of this person. Ask yourself this question, what would they do? Would the perfect
version of myself do this? Would the perfect version of myself, listen, there's very few
people in this world that love to party as much as I used to party,
right? I don't party at all anymore. It's kind of pathetic. I don't even like drinking anymore,
right? But I used to do some crazy stuff, some crazy, you know, a lot of crazy stuff in my day,
drugs, alcohol, all of those things, right? But I realized that that person that I was was not the person. And in order to become the person that I knew I could
be, I had to shed who I was. I had to essentially quote unquote, kill that old version of myself
to rebirth the new version of myself. Right? So if I would ask myself this question, like,
would the perfect version of myself be really drunk on a Friday night right now? No. What would they be doing? And then I do that.
I do whatever that perfect version of myself, 3,650 perfect days from today,
I do what they would do. I quote unquote act as if. And guess what? If you do, I'm sorry,
if you become the person that you need to become, eventually you'll
wake up and you'll be the person who has everything that you want.
This is the power of visualization.
And this is really why I think I'm going to write my first book on visualization is because
I've been doing visualization since I was 13 years old.
My mom taught me visualization when I was 13 years old.
So I know the power of visualization.
You know, I'm 19 years deep in visualization
And this is why part of the iron mind 60 challenge is to literally journal
So we're going to journal everything that we want
We're going to go through journaling exercises of creating ourselves into the perfect version of ourselves everything
And then we're going to visualize all of these things. We're going to literally visualize we're going to go much deeper than this episode does
But we're going to visualize who we need to become. And we're going to become that person every single day. There's power in visualization. There's a lot of scientific
reasons. You know, this has been known since the 1930s when the Germans literally destroyed people
on track and field in the Olympics in the 1930s. And they were like, why did they destroy them?
Well, they realized that they were visualizing every single night besides just going out and
running on the track. They were visualizing running on the track and they made their neurotransmitters, like their actual
neurotransmitters in their brain stronger than anybody else's. You know, there's a lot of
scientific proof behind it, but the power of visualization is to see who you could be in 10
years to visualize that perfect version of yourself. and then to bring that person in, to fill in the gap between who you are now and who they are.
That person is.
Become that person.
Act as if today.
That is your potential.
That is what you're capable of.
What you just visualize with your eyes closed is who you know deep down in your heart that
you can be.
How can you become that person quicker?
That's what I got for you guys today.
