And I have one quick announcement.
I have started a new five-day challenge group.
It will be going from June 4th to June 8th. I'll be going live Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday of that week and teaching all kinds of different things from mindset to money
to relationships to how to improve just as a person, everything you could possibly think of.
And then I'm going to do
question and answer sessions as well. And it's going to be absolutely free. If you want to join
in, go to coachwithrob.com. Once again, go to coachwithrob.com, enter in your information,
and I will send you the links needed to join in on that group. Okay. Today I want to be talking
about is how successful people think. Now, the thing that you have to think about, kind of realizing, and I don't know if a lot
of people really understand this or really even think about it, there's no actual trait
that's needed for a successful person.
There's no background that a successful person comes from.
It's not like, oh, if they're born in this city or if they have this type of parent or
if they have this or this.
There's people from all walks of life, whether they were homeless, whether they're born in this city or if they have this type of parent or if they have this or this.
There's people from all walks of life, whether they were homeless, whether they had terrible childhood, whether they were raised by rich people.
It doesn't really matter.
Success does not require any sort of background in order to be successful.
Success starts in the mind in the way someone thinks. And also, just so you know, I don't just mean success as far as making money. I also mean success as far as like, I would consider a person
that's extremely happy. I would consider that a success. I would consider someone who has a great
marriage. I would see that as a success. I would see someone who does make money as a success.
There's lots of forms of success,
but successful people all seem to think the exact same way.
And I'm going to tell you the three things
that I've noticed among successful people
of what makes them successful
and the way that they look at things.
I've just noticed that the way a successful person
looks at something is completely opposite
the way this unsuccessful person looks at something is completely opposite the way this unsuccessful
person looks at something.
So the first thing that I noticed that they think differently about is the unknown, right?
An unsuccessful person sees the unknown as something that is scary.
They look at it and they go, I don't know what's going to happen.
And they're like, I don't know what's, I don't know.
I'm not, I'm too scared to go after that because I don't know what's going to happen. And that unknown is scary
to me. Successful people tend to see the unknown as exciting because they're so excited knowing
that something great is going to come from that. They're going to create something great, right?
So the first thing is the unknown. Unsuccessful people think it's scary.
Successful people see the unknown as exciting. The second thing that I notice that they look at differently is challenges, right? Challenges. An unsuccessful person sees a challenge
as an opportunity to fail. An opportunity or, you know, a possible time where they might be
embarrassed. They might be rejected, right? They see challenges as something that is negative.
A successful person sees a challenge as a place to grow. The only way that you can grow
is to challenge yourself. The only way that you can grow is to challenge yourself. The only way that you can
get your muscle to grow, if you want your bicep to grow, the only way it'll grow is if you challenge
it with a weight that it cannot lift or it can just barely lift. It has to struggle. It has to
go through the challenge in order to grow. So unsuccessful people see it as a challenge as a possible
opportunity for them to be embarrassed or an opportunity for failure. A successful person
sees it as a opportunity for growth, an opportunity to learn, an opportunity to get better because
they know on the other side of a challenge is a better version of themselves.
Because if you think about it, if you think about the biggest challenge that you've been through in your entire life, it sucks going through it. We all know it sucks going through it.
But if you think about the time in your life when you had the most growth, where you learned the
most about yourself, it's usually that exact same time when the challenges were so hard and you didn't know if
you make it through it, but you made it through it and you came out strong on the other end.
So challenges, successful people and unsuccessful people look at challenges differently.
And the third thing that I noticed that successful people look at differently is themselves.
Themselves. Unsuccessful people see themselves and they think of all of their personal limitations.
They think of their weaknesses. They think of all the times that they failed. They think of
the times they've been rejected. They see their personal limitations, right? And they see those
limitations as a weakness. Now, a successful person, they see those personal limitations, but they see those as an opportunity to get better.
They put that personal limitation on their to-do list and say, yes, I will get better at this.
Not I'm bad at this and I will be this way forever.
They look at it and say, I need to improve at this and I will not stop until I improve at this.
And that's the thing you have to realize is successful people, they believe in themselves.
And the reason why successful people believe in themselves, here's the thing that's the
interesting thing. They weren't born believing in themselves. It's not a trait that they just had.
What happened is they started pushing themselves and pushing themselves and pushing themselves
when they didn't believe in themselves. And eventually they started getting results and
they started getting more results. And with each result that became better, they, each result that
was better than they thought it was going to be. And they became better in the process. Their
confidence grew little by little, by little, by little, by little, by little, until we all know
when you see a successful person walk in the room, sometimes some people just have like a, just an aura. Like they walk in the room
and you're like, holy crap, someone just arrived. Right? They haven't always been that way. They
become that way. Why? Because they've taken their personal limitations, they've worked on it,
and they've gotten great results. So those are the three things of how successful people
think. So what I want you to do and what I think you should do is say, okay, number one, the unknown.
Number two, challenges. Number three, myself. How do I look at the unknown? What do I think of
when I think of the unknown? Does it scare me? Does it excite me? What can I do to improve at it?
The next thing, challenges. How do I look at challenges?
Do they scare me?
Do they excite me?
Do I look at them as an opportunity to fail or an opportunity to grow?
How can I improve at that?
Number three, myself.
How do I look at myself?
How do I look at my personal limitations?
Do I see them as a weakness?
Or do I see them as an opportunity to grow and to get better, to improve?
Because I know that on the other side of these challenges and these weaknesses is me being the better version of myself. I know that
the most growth comes from the hardest things in life. So that's what you should ask yourself.
And then you ask yourself, how can I get better at each one of these? How can I get better at the
unknown? How can I get better at the unknown? How can I get better at challenges? And how can I get better at the way I view myself? So if you liked this episode, please do me a
