Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to today's episode of the Mindset Mentor Podcast. I am your host, Rob Dial. Today, we're gonna be talking about how to normalize what it is that you are wanting to create in 2023, how to normalize the goals that you have set for yourself going into next year. And we're going to talk about this incredible life that you could have next year. You could build, no matter where you are right now, an incredible life over the next 12 months, but it's going to take the way that you act, the way that you feel, your thoughts, and your actions that you take every single day. And I want you to realize that I truly believe that you're able to attain whatever
Starting point is 00:00:50 it is that you want to attain, but the actions that you take are going to dictate whether you're actually going to get that or not. So we're going to talk about how to actually normalize the feeling of the success that you want in 2023. how to normalize the house that you want, the car, the family, the love, the traveling all over the world, the building the successful business, how to make it not seem like something that you don't have, but something that you've already got in your future. It's not that you even have to think about not having it or want it. It's that you already have it. It's just somewhere in your future.
Starting point is 00:01:33 The easiest way to get those things is to have them before you have them. Now you might be sitting there like, what the hell does that mean? How can I have something before I have it? I believe that you can have something energetically, like actually feel like you already have it before it is in your possession. And I actually think that's one of the secrets to getting what it is that you want in life is to know that you're going to have it even when you don't currently have it. And the reason why is, I just want you to think about this for a second. When you want something, the feeling of want automatically means that you lack that thing physically and energetically. And so if I'm going to get something and I want it, I'm already coming at that with the feeling of, oh, I don't
Starting point is 00:02:14 have it. I don't have that. I lack that thing. What I like to do instead is to actually know that I have it in my future. Like there is a future that exists where I have the life that I want, where I have every single thing. So if your goal is to have the body that you want, and the car that you want, and the family that you want, and the house that you want, and the love that you want, and the travel that you want all over the world, instead of wanting, I keep using the word want
Starting point is 00:02:42 because there's not a whole lot of words in the English language to use here. The feeling of wanting means that I lack it physically and energetically. But if I can know in my mind that I already have that future that I want at the end of 2023, it's already there and it is 100% guaranteed. It doesn't cause that feeling of lack inside of me. It causes the feeling of certainty, which is what I would prefer is a feeling of certainty. I'll give you a really interesting example. So I'm going to let the cat out of the bag. If you don't follow me on Instagram,
Starting point is 00:03:16 you might not know this. So in a few weeks, we have an interview that's going to be coming out with Tony Robbins. And so three years ago, I was invited to an event. There was only 50 of us that were there. And Tony Robbins threw the event. And it was funny because at the end of the event, everybody hounded Tony. And they're like, can I get a picture? Can I get a picture? Can I get a picture? Everybody was asked for a picture of him. And Lauren turns to me and she goes, do you want to get your picture with him? And I was like, no, I'm going to meet him one-on-one in just a few years. And she's like, what? She's like, what? I was like, no, I'm going to meet him one-on-one in just a few years. And she's like, what? She's like, what? I was like, listen, I'm going to meet Tony one-on-one and I would prefer to meet him one-on-one versus in front of all of these people. And she's like, okay. Because I was 100% sure that I was going to meet him one-on-one.
Starting point is 00:03:57 And, you know, I just got a 65 minute interview that's going to be coming out in a few weeks for you guys of me and Tony Robbins. And so I want you to understand, I'm not saying that to brag in any sort of way. I actually knew deep down inside that him and I would meet one-on-one versus meet in front of a whole bunch of other people. And I always go at everything in my life that way, as if it's already done. I know that it's done. It's just the time hasn't come yet. And so you have to know that everything that you want for this year is already done. It exists in your future. You have to know with absolute certainty in all 40 trillion of your cells, that future exists and that you're going to get that future.
Starting point is 00:04:34 And then now all you have to do for the rest of this year is go and work towards it. And so we're talking about making the life that you want feel normal. And notice I said the word want, right? Because I don't really have another word at this point. The one that you desire feel normal inside of your body. And the reason why this is, I mean, this is the reason why if you think about it, like they always say like people who the rich get rich to the poor get poor is because when you're raised rich or you're raised poor, you're raised in that like energetic frequency without sounding too woo-woo-y and you're more likely to get what you've already had. Because, you know, if you are a child and you grow up and you're rich, then energetically,
Starting point is 00:05:13 it's just normal to have money. It's not hard. It just seems pretty easy and it just seems normal, right? And this is the reason why it's so hard to break free from where you currently are as well, is because it feels normal. It has already been normalized. And so more than normal, what you currently have, can feel uncomfortable. already have it in the future. So it doesn't feel as uncomfortable. The future that we desire is already normalized. And so we're talking about normalizing those feelings. Have you ever walked into like, maybe when you were a kid, you walked into your friend's house for the first time and it was this big, amazing house. And you were like, oh my God, this place is amazing. And they have this huge house and you're blown away by it. And then you go there again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again. And eventually it just becomes Johnny's house. It's just a house.
Starting point is 00:06:09 And it becomes a house that's, it's still really nice. You still really are like, oh my gosh, I wish we had a house that's nice. But it's not the same feeling as the first time you walk in. Because the first time you walk in, it's so energetically outside of your comfort zone. But the 300th time you walk into Johnny's house, it's like, oh, this is just Johnny's house. It has become more normal. So if you ever walk into a house and you're blown away and you go there a few more times, it's still nice, but does it blow you away as much? Not really, because it started to become normal. And that's what happens. And so when we talk about normalizing the life that you want, how can you make what it is that you want feel more normal? So let's say, and I'm going to use material possessions, but you could use this for the relationship that you want, the travel that you want, all of those things. But I'll just use it
Starting point is 00:06:54 for material possessions just because it's easier to give examples. But let's say, for instance, you want to buy a Porsche by the end of 2023, right? You want to buy a Porsche, brand new Porsche 911 by the end of 2023. Well, you can normalize it by Googling it every single day, which I do recommend. You Google it, you look at YouTube videos, you start to learn about it, you learn about the engine, learn about all the features, becomes more normal. You can look at pictures of it. You can put it as a phone on your back, on the phone of your wallpaper, but you could also go in and actually test drive it. And when you test drive it, it starts to feel more normal. You feel more connected with that car that you want.
Starting point is 00:07:32 And then you start to talk with the people who are at the dealership and say, yeah, you know, I'm going to get one of these by the end of the year. Not my goal is to get one of these by the end of the year. I'm going to get one of these by the end of the year. And they start seeing you more often. They see your face and they start treating you like an actual customer, even though you're not a customer yet. So you're starting to normalize the feeling of being a customer of the Porsche dealership and normalize the feeling of driving that Porsche. And every couple of months, maybe every quarter, you do it two, three, four times over the course this year, you go and test drive the new models that come in and say, oh, did you guys, hey, when you get a new 911, would you make
Starting point is 00:08:03 sure that you guys call me? I want to see if it's the one that I want. And what happens is you actually start to normalize that feeling of the car and makes it so much easier to get it because it doesn't feel like a distant future. It's starting to actually feel like something that's normal in your life. Let's say that there's a house that's in a certain neighborhood that you want. You want to live in a certain neighborhood. Go to that neighborhood every single day after you're done with work and say, I'm driving home. I'm driving home, I'm driving home. The neighborhood might feel crazy to you right now, but it starts to feel more normal the more that you do this over and over again. Let's say that you want to buy a really nice house on the beach. Well, this one might be a
Starting point is 00:08:36 little bit more expensive, but this is definitely an experience. What I like to do is I actually like to rent really nice places on Airbnb in places that I want to live. So like I love Sedona and my goal is to have a house in Sedona pretty soon. I have a house, you know, a house I want to get back home where I actually grew up in Florida first. But whenever we go out to Sedona, I look at all these different really nice houses and normalize the feeling of what it would be like to wake up with this incredible view from an incredible house. And I'm normalizing the feeling of it every single time. So is there an Airbnb or a VRBO that you could rent that's in the area that you want to live, or that's even just a bigger house? It might
Starting point is 00:09:15 cost you more money to do it, but what you're doing is you're waking up and normalizing the feeling that you want to have in your life by the abundance that you're going to create. You know, how can you do this with everything that you want? How can you do this with travel? How can you do this with your happiness? How can you do this with your relationships, with the calm, the peace, with everything that you want? How can you start to look at your life and say, how can I normalize every single aspect of what it is that I desire? This is really not something that's hard to do. It just takes more intention because the problem is we look at things and we say, oh my gosh, it'd be nice to have that one day. Oh my gosh, I wish that I could have this. Oh my gosh, it'd be nice to have that.
Starting point is 00:09:54 And that feeling of want, want, want, it'd be nice causes a feeling energetically inside of us of, I don't have it. And if I don't have it, it's outside of my comfort zone. What I want to do instead is to actually put myself in those places. You know, if you want a jet in 20 years, why don't you start going to the plane shows and start touring those jets? Do whatever it is that you can to try to be in that vicinity of whatever it is that you want. If you want an incredible relationship and you're single right now, do you know anybody that has incredible relationships? And you could do dinner with them once a month and talk to them and hang around them because then you're going to start to get in that energetic frequency of having an amazing
Starting point is 00:10:32 relationship. And so what I want this episode to do is to wake you up to whatever it is that you desire you can have. But the more that you feel like you want it and you lack it, the more that you're actually pushing it away versus pulling it towards you. What I'm talking about with normalizing the life that you want is pulling the future towards you and knowing that it is absolutely guaranteed. You just have to let time work itself out.
