let's go ahead and dive into today's episode. Okay. So today,
tough love Rob is in town and, uh, and I bought this new shirt and, uh, it was a Nike shirt.
It says destroy excuses. And this lady started talking to me. She's like, man, I really need
that shirt. Cause I have a lot of excuses. And I was at the gym and when I'm at the gym,
I get my best ideas and I was just going through in my head of excuses. And I thought, you know
what? I need to make an episode on this. And so I'm going to, I'm going to gym, I get my best ideas and I was just going through in my head of excuses and I thought, you know what?
I need to make an episode on this.
And so I'm going to.
I'm gonna talk about your excuses.
And first off, I'm gonna say this.
Your excuses are like a butthole.
Your excuses are like a butthole.
Everybody has them and all of them stink, right?
You can either have excuses or you can have results,
but you can never have both.
And the question that I have for you is if you don't have control of your life, if you haven't
given one, you know, really taken 100% control of your life, maybe you're at 70%, maybe you're
75%. There's still a part of you that's blaming your parents for the crappy childhood that you
had, or maybe you're blaming your current circumstances on the spouse that you have,
or maybe you're blaming your current circumstances on your parents or the fact that you were made fun of as a kid or whatever it might've been.
That's not taking control of your life. That is an excuse of the reason why you are the way that
you are, right? You have to get to the point where you're taking 100% control of your life.
And if anything happens, if you're literally sitting at a stoplight and somebody hits you
from behind and slams
into the back of you, it is your fault.
It is not their fault.
And you might be sitting there and you're like, well, that doesn't make any sense.
I was sitting in a stoplight.
I did nothing wrong.
I was hit from behind.
No, you drove your car to that spot and put yourself in that position or to get hit.
It is your fault.
And you need to realize that every single thing that happens in your life
is your fault, either because you made that decision and you did that, or you made the
decision to put yourself in the position to have something else happen to you, right?
Your excuses suck. When are you going to get rid of them? The moment that you completely get rid
of excuses and you take 100% control of your life is the moment that your
greatness actually comes out of you. The moment where it is actually worth it to wake up in the
morning because you're working towards something greater and that is your greater self and your
greater purpose. Get rid of your excuses because I don't care about them. And guess what? Nobody
else cares either. Nobody gives a damn about your excuses. Nobody. You are the only
one that cares about your excuses, right? You show up late to the office and you tell your boss,
oh, I'm so, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm late. You know, there's traffic, blah, blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah, blah. Nobody cares. Your boss doesn't care. The people around you don't care. You care. You make up excuses for you and you only.
Let that sink in real quick.
You make up excuses for you and you only.
Because nobody listens to you and goes,
Oh, I feel so bad for you.
Oh, your parents did this in your childhood.
Oh, you were made fun of as a kid.
Oh, you poor baby.
Because everybody else in their head is going,
I've gone through crap too.
I've gone through crap too.
I've gone through crap too.
No matter what happened to you or what's currently happening to you, right?
We've all gone through bad stuff.
Maybe yours is worse than others.
Maybe other people though in this world have had successful lives that have had worse than you.
So there's a point in your life where you need to stop making excuses. You need to wake up and you
need to say, okay, this is the time where I'm finally going to wake up and do something with
myself. Because either you make excuses or you get results. There can not be both of them living in
the same spot, right? You have to realize that it is time for you to wake up and to take control of your life. No matter what happens to you, it is your fault.
Because either you got yourself in that position or you're in that position and somebody else did something to you because you put yourself there.
It is your fault.
Oh God, the one thing that I really, really hate is people like to blame their children for the reason why
they were, you know, why they're not where they want to. Oh yeah, no, I'm, I, I can't, I can't get
into my personal growth because I have children, you know, and this is, this is honestly take it
as a shot to you. Let it piss you off a little bit that I'm saying this and then do something
about it. Right. Oh no. Yeah. I can't do this. It's my kids. My kids fall. Like, you know, I,
I'm late because it's my kids. I can't have personal growth because my kids, I can't do this. It's my kids. My kids fault. Like, you know, I'm late because it's my kids.
I can't have personal growth because of my kids. I don't have the money that I want because of my kids. I don't have the business that I want because of my kids. Literally, you have to realize
you are blaming somebody that didn't make the choice to come into their life, into your life.
You brought them into your life, which means that it is your fault. There are
successful people that do exactly what you want to do, that have more kids than you, that had
worse lives than you, that were made fun of more, that maybe were beaten by their parents or
emotionally scarred by their parents or people around them. Everybody in the world has a different
story. We all have the cards that were dealt, right? Who cares about the cards you
were dealt? You have those cards. You're not going to get any other ones. It is time for you to wake
up and for you to play your cards the best that you possibly can. Play your cards the best that
you possibly can. Realize that you need to wake up today or you need to wake up tomorrow and say, I'm done with excuses because I want results.
I am going to take control of my life.
And the moment that you decide to get rid of excuses and go for results
and take 100% control for your life and where you are right now
is when your life changes.
Your life is the way that it is right now
because of everything that you
have done in the past. Not because of other things that happened to you, because of outside
circumstances. Your life, if it sucks right now, it is your fault. But guess what? If you get to
the end of your life and it sucks, it's your fault. If you get to the end of your life and
it's great, it is also your fault. Which fault
do you want your life to end up being? Well, that's it for today's podcast. If you want the
