So today I'm going to talk about, I'm going to do a couple, a little bit of a motivational pep talk where you can listen to it over and over again if you want to in the gym or when you wake up in the morning, whatever it is. So these can be something you can listen to over and over again to kind of, I guess you could say, brainwash yourself into doing what you want to do and having the life that you want more than anything else. So today I'm going to talk about
Starting point is 00:02:45 how limitations are optional. And I'll just guess, I guess I'll just kind of dive into it. And then I guess I'll see how you guys like it. If you like these, send me an email. I could do more of these because they're going to be shorter than average, but I'm pretty excited about it because I've planned them out pretty in depth. So here we go. When will you stop holding yourself back? When will we as humans start pulling ourselves back? See, because limitations in this world are optional. We decide how we are limiting ourselves, whether we realize it or not.
Starting point is 00:03:26 You know that people used to think that it was physically impossible to run under four minutes in a mile. Scientists actually said that the human heart would explode due to overexertion. So no one ever ran a four minute mile. But there was one person who was willing to test out that theory and his name was Roger Bannister. But there was one person who was willing to test out that theory, and his name was Roger Bannister. In 1954, Roger Bannister became the first human to ever be recorded to run a four-minute mile. Want to know the craziest part about that story, though?
Starting point is 00:04:02 Within four years of breaking that record, 20 more people ran a mile in under four minutes. So what does that show us? Well, did the human body magically evolve enough over four years to finally be able to run that four minute mile? No. People finally believed that it was possible because somebody had done it, proving that people were limiting themselves based on what others had done or what others were saying. They were having psychological limitations. You know, for thousands of years, people looked up at the sky and were jealous of the birds, thinking that human flight was impossible.
Starting point is 00:04:37 And then they believed that that was impossible until the Wright brothers proved them wrong. People used to stay up at night thinking that candlelight was the only used to stay up at night thinking that candlelight was the only way to light up the night sky until Thomas Edison proved them wrong. See, every groundbreaking human invention came because one person decided to think outside of the
Starting point is 00:05:00 quote-unquote realm of human possibility. From the wheel to the spaceship to the smartphone. Think about it. If you told someone 75 years ago that you were going to fly a ship outside of Earth's atmosphere and take a picture with your phone, they would check you into a mental institution. But now that is possible.
Starting point is 00:05:21 If everyone believed in limitations, then nothing great would ever happen. And doubters will always be doubters until they're proven wrong. If you were to take someone from 3,000 years ago and drop them into the present moment, they would think that they were on some alien planet because of all that we have created. From cars to planes to skyscrapers. All of those things are because someone decided to think differently about their world. Think about it. All of the great things we could invent,
Starting point is 00:05:55 all of the worldwide issues that we could solve if everyone decided to start living outside of their perceived limitations. So now I ask you, what are your limitations that you're putting on yourself, either due to others' projections or due to your own self-limiting beliefs? What greatness are you holding back from yourself? Because you are great. We are all great. We just need to give ourselves the permission to release that greatness into the world. So from this point forward, don't ever say it is impossible. Replace it with the phrase, I'm possible. So that's what I got for you today, guys. If you like this episode,
