will be coming from me. As soon as you first text it, it's going to send you some information to
make sure that we can actually send you texts and you're okay with it. Once you do, I'm going to be sending you
text messages. Whenever I get a burst of inspiration, I want to send out a mass text to
let you know that you can keep going and you should stay motivated and I'm here to support
you. So if you want to send me a text, it's 512-580-930 5. This is only available right now for people that are in America and also Canada as
well. It's not open yet to people outside, but it will be very soon. So send me a text message if
you want to. Today, I'm going to be talking about something pretty fun. I'm going to be talking
about how your perception creates your reality. It's going to be interesting because everything that has ever happened to you,
everything that you have ever seen,
everything that you were taught by your parents,
everything that has ever occurred in your life
has created a filter that you put everything through.
And that's the reason why two people can view the exact same
thing. They can view the exact same thing, but see something completely different.
Now, do you believe me in this? You don't believe me? I'm going to go ahead and prove it to you.
Okay. Take for instance, the Superbowl halftime show. Okay. Many people viewed this, millions of people did, and they viewed
the exact same thing. They saw J-Lo and Shakira dancing and singing. That's what they viewed.
But what they saw was something extremely, extremely different. And the reason why I can
say this is because, well, you know, Facebook is an interesting thing and people love to express their
minds onto, you know, projected onto Facebook. And so two people can see this or they can view
the same thing, but see something completely different. So if you look at the halftime show,
they saw J-Lo, they saw Shakira. Some people saw J-Lo leaving a bad impression on children by dancing on a pole. Other people saw J-Lo at 50
years old with a banging body, and that inspired them to go to bed early and hit the gym in the
morning. She became their, what is it called? Their fitspo. Fit inspiration is what she became.
Other people put down their pizza and their beer so that they could look that good at 50 because
they realized that they're probably that good at 50 because they realized
that they're probably gonna have to take better care of themselves. Other people got turned on
by watching two women dancing sexy. Other people were annoyed that it took so long and they just
wanted this freaking halftime show to end so that they could get back to the game.
Now, they all viewed the same thing, but they saw something very different.
Let's talk about two points of view that I happen to see on Facebook. Number one,
there was group A, which were people that were offended by whatever it was, by dancing, by
being too sexy, by dancing on a pole, whatever it is. And then B, so there's A, that's A. B, which are people that are younger in their
twenties and thirties, we're like, holy crap, JLo looks amazing at 50. I want to look amazing at 50.
She looks better than I do. I need to hit the gym in the morning. So some people were offended
and some people were inspired. Now, here's the thing that I want you to realize. I don't have
any say. I don't really care what happens. There is no right and there is no wrong.
I don't have any say. I don't really care what happens. There is no right and there is no wrong.
That's the first thing. There's no right view. There's no wrong view. One of the biggest problems with people in the world is that they think that their view is correct and everybody else's is
wrong unless they agree with them. So let's talk about those two views. Neither one is right
and neither one is wrong. What this is, is this is a microcosm of what happens in the real world. People think
that people should all view my, think, you know, see what I see and believe what I believe. And
if they don't, they are wrong. They are incorrect. It's a microcosm of what happens in the real
world in that sense. But it's also a microcosm of what happens in the real world in that sense, but it's also
microcosm in something is happening, just something, and everyone is seeing something
different based on what they were taught was right or wrong. Now, if you were raised in a
Catholic family or a Christian family or a conservative family, you might've been offended
and be like, oh God, I can't believe that she's doing that. How wrong? Why would she do this?
I'm so offended that she would do this. I'm so offended that the NFL would allow this as if,
most people forgot the whole Janet Jackson nipple incident like 15 years ago. I don't know how they
forgot about that one. Cause that was, you know, an entire, entire woman's nipple incident like 15 years ago. I don't know how they forgot about that one because that was, you know, an entire woman's nipple popping out. But, you know, whatever. We'll pretend that
didn't happen. But if you were raised in a conservative family, you might have been offended.
But if you were raised in another family, you might have thought something completely different.
But let me just go back to the conservative side. Have you ever actually asked yourself, where did this come from?
Because once again, I don't care about, I don't care either way. I don't think it's right. I don't
think it's wrong. I just think it is what it is. It's just something's happening and people are
viewing it and they're all seeing something different, right? So my question to you is just,
if we're using as an example of, if you were, you know, on the offended side, have you ever actually asked, why am I offended? Where did it come from? You know, is this something
that I was taught was wrong? Do I actually feel it's wrong? Is that how I truly feel deep down
in my heart? Or is that just something that I've been told to feel, right? Have you ever asked
where it comes from? Is this actually how I feel? Or is this what I've been taught to feel, right? Have you ever asked where it comes from? Is this actually how I feel or is this
what I've been taught to feel? Because here's the thing, a lot of people don't know how they truly
feel. What they know is what they've been taught to feel. But then where there ends up being a lot
of issues as they grow up is it's not not congruent where they might see something and they're supposed to feel this way because that's what they were taught, but they kind of under the surface
don't feel that way. And so it's almost like two sides of them battling. Okay. There's a woman
that's dancing. If we're just using this example, there's a woman that's dancing on a pole. I've
been taught by my family that this is wrong, but there's a part of me,
it's like, damn, that girl's working it, right? So I'm just using this example. I don't know if
that's how you felt or not, but there's part of you where it's like, that's wrong, but I also
think it's amazing. And then it's that people are so confused by, why am I so anxious all the time?
Why am I always worried? Why do I always have this anxiety? It's because a lot of times you are battling with your true self, how you truly feel
and what you were taught that you were supposed to feel or think, right? So many people are running
around thinking thoughts that aren't theirs. Let me say that again for you. So many people are
running around thinking thoughts that aren't
actually theirs. Believing, quote unquote, believing things that they really feel don't
line up with the way they actually believe. And they're confused because your family will give
you beliefs. Your parents will give you their beliefs. You know, I don't like purple popsicles,
for instance. The reason why I don't like purple popsicles is because my mom doesn't like purple popsicles. I learned that purple
popsicles were gross from a very young age. So then the same thing happened where it might be
a belief around this. It might be a belief around the way to treat people. It might be a belief
around the way that people dress. It might be a belief around the way people act, but most people don't take themselves outside and look in and say, why do I feel this way? Is this actually how I truly feel?
Or, you know, is this something completely separate from the way that I feel?
Hey everybody, real quick. Have you ever taken CBDs before? I know it's a super hot topic,
but how much do you actually know about what
you're putting into your body? See, I've been taking CBDs for over 18 months, but I didn't
realize that the stuff I was putting in my body was actually nowhere near the quality that I could
get. See, most companies use CBD isolates, which is basically a powder version of CBDs that they
put into water or other liquids. See, Amma CBDs are different. They're
kind of like the cold press version of CBDs, you could say. And they have over 40 other beneficial
compounds from the hemp plant in their CBDs, including minor cannabinoids, flavonoids,
and terpenes. And each compound has their own therapeutic benefit. I take them before I go to
bed to help me fall asleep. And I also take them before I work out because CBDs have been shown to help with athletic performance. So if you want to
try Ama CBDs out, you can go to amahealing.co slash dial. That's A-M-M-A healing.co slash D-I-A-L.
You can claim your special offer as my listener today, and you get a 15% discount off your first purchase.
So that's amahealing.co slash dial. I use them. I love them. I can put my name behind them,
and I think you'll love them as well. All right, let's get you back to the show right now.
And I always use the example and the phrase because I think it works perfectly here.
When you're inside of the jar, you can't read the label. And so When you're inside of the jar, you can't read the
label. And so when you're inside of the jar, which means inside of your mind, inside of your body,
living your normal everyday life, you can't see what's actually going on. The patterns,
habits, traits, the qualities that you've had passed down. Now, when you get outside of your
own head and you start to look at yourself as if you're a third party looking down,
it's kind of like reading the label and you can start to read it and go,
is that how I truly want to feel? Is that how I truly want to act? Do I want to put this Facebook
post up? Do I want to get into a bickering match on Facebook? That's the first question
anybody should ask themselves. Do I want to get into a Facebook bakery match? Right? Because what you're looking for, you will always find.
If you're looking for reasons to be offended, you will be offended.
And this is how your perception and your thoughts create your reality.
If you and I are driving into a town off the interstate and we're driving in my car,
let's say that my car is making a screeching noise and I'm starting to get really worried. I'm coming off the interstate.
I'm driving through. I am only going to see body shops and mechanics because I'm going to see
everything that's going to solve the problem that I need to have solved. My perception,
my reality is created by my perception,
what I'm thinking of. So whatever I'm thinking, I'm actually going to see in my reality. I won't
see anything else except for just the mechanics everywhere. Now, if you're in my passenger seat
and you're hungry, then you're only going to see every single restaurant that I pass.
You won't see any of the mechanic shops.
You will only see the restaurants.
I'm like, oh, you just passed.
Oh, crap.
You just passed a restaurant.
Oh, you just passed another restaurant.
But I won't see any of the restaurants because I'm not looking for restaurants.
So whatever you're looking for, whether you're consciously or subconsciously looking for
something, you're going to find.
If you're looking for reasons to be offended by the way somebody acts, the way somebody dresses, you're going to find. If you're looking for reasons to be offended by the
way somebody acts, the way somebody dresses, you're going to find them. They're everywhere.
If you're looking for reasons as to if you're a Democrat, if you're looking for reasons why
Republicans are wrong, you're going to find them everywhere. If you're a Republican and you're
looking for reasons to find that Democrats are wrong, you're going to find them everywhere.
Whatever you're looking for, you will find. Seek and you
shall find. That is a phrase thousands of years old, isn't it? Because whatever you seek, you
will find. So there's a couple of things in here. Number one, you have to realize that your
perception creates your reality. We're all viewing the exact same things, but we're all seeing
something different. We're all viewing the exact same things, but we're all seeing something different. We're all, we're all viewing the exact same
things, but we're viewing something very, very different. If I'm in the car and my car's making
the noise, I'm going to only see mechanic shops. Cause that's all I can see. I'm going to put
blinders on for everything else. If you're hungry, you're only going to see all of the restaurants
that I'm passing on the way to mechanic shops. So that's the first thing. What you search for, you will
find. That is 100% sure. The second thing that I talk about in this is what is it that you actually
believe in? Why do you believe it? Have you ever actually asked yourself, why do I believe this?
Why do I believe that? It's like the example, nobody's born a racist.
No, they're not. It's something that's put on them by their family. They've learned. It's a
learned trait. Well, nobody's born religious. It's something that's put on them. Nobody's born
atheist. It's something that's put on them. It's something that they learn. It's all something
that's learned. Your entire perception and your reality is created by everything that you've viewed
and that has happened to you in your past everything that you've seen everything that
you've taught because two people can view the exact same thing but see something completely
different like i said there were many different perceptions of a 12-minute halftime show there
were many different perceptions there was the bad impressionftime show. There were many different perceptions.
There was the bad impression on children. There was a 50 year old lady who had a great body and
inspired people to hit the gym and inspired people as well to put down the pizza and beer
because they realized maybe I should start drinking more water and eating healthy so that I could
have that great of a skin when I'm older. You know, some people, like I said, got turned on
by watching two sexy women dance. Other people were annoyed that it took so long so they get back to the game.
It's all different. And guess what? It's all correct and it's all incorrect. There is no
right. There is no wrong. But the problem is when you think that your perception is the absolute
perception and nobody else's perception is correct. That's one of the biggest issues that's
happening in this world right now is that people are not able to put themselves in somebody else's
shoes, or they're not able to see someone else's side, or they're not able to possibly be wrong
because God forbid that your foundation of the way that you built your life is rocked by somebody
else's perception. And the harder that somebody fights our foundation,
the harder that we're going to fight back because we need to have that strong foundation. Otherwise
we're like, well, what the hell is my entire life mean? If this foundation that was built up,
my life was built upon is incorrect. Then what else in my life was correct? Was my entire life a sham? Is everything that I've
thought or seen or believed false? My answer to that is no, it's not false. It's all right.
But at the same time, it's also all wrong. So what I want you to think of as you're going
through today, if somebody says something and you get offended, ask yourself the question,
why am I getting offended by a word?
Why am I getting offended by somebody making a noise coming out of their face?
Where did I learn that?
Nobody ever was offended.
You know, nobody was born and they heard the word shit and they're like, oh my God, I'm
offended at six months old.
No, it's something that's learned.
Everything is learned.
And so
you have to ask yourself, is this what I truly believe? Or is this what I've been taught?
Because once again, so many people are running around thinking thoughts that aren't theirs.
So the real question is, what are your beliefs? What are your thoughts? and what's the foundation that you now that you're aware of this
actually want to rebuild your life upon so that's what i got for you for today's episode if you like
