So please share this with whoever you know that might get some type of kicks and giggles out of it or that it might change their life. And if you go to facebook.com slash MWF motivation,
Starting point is 00:01:32 all I ask is that you like us there and all of the videos that I share, multiple videos a day sometimes, if one hits home and hits you right in the feels, if you would just do me a favor and click the share button so that other people in your network might possibly get some type of influence from it, maybe like our page and maybe start listening to podcasts. Once again, the podcast is free. If you could just do me that favor of liking us on Facebook and then sharing whatever you like,
Starting point is 00:01:56 I would greatly appreciate it because here's the deal. We're doing zero advertising. I don't think advertisement is the way that something like this podcast is, how amazing it is. I don't think advertisement is the way that something like this podcast is, how amazing it is. I don't think it should grow just through advertising. I think it should grow naturally and organically. And that's what it's done. And that's why it's so freaking awesome. And that's why I have friends who are podcasters and in crazy, crazy amounts of downloads that
Starting point is 00:02:21 are looking at this podcast going, how in the hell is it growing so fast if you're putting no money into advertising? And I say, because my listeners are freaking committed and they're sharing it with all their friends. And some of the strongest companies in the world have grown just by grassroots. And that's what we're doing. And I appreciate you for sharing with every person that you do. Once again, too, if you're interested in group coaching with me, so we can go a little bit more in depth and become BFFs and we can have more personal time together with the group. And it's a much, much more discounted price than the one-on-one coaching with me. Go to mwfmotivation.com slash coaching. And the last announcement, once again, like I said, last episode, if you are interested in being my social media manager, send me an email, rob at mwfmotivation.com. And I'm looking for someone who is dedicated, who knows a lot about social media already,
Starting point is 00:03:17 that I can teach a lot more to that wants really good resume experience. And that at the same time could be a freaking BA with my social media manager. And in turn, I will give them free coaching for it as well. Boom. That's what I got to tell you for today. So today, what I'm going to go over is talking about why planning sometimes is not what you need to do. Sometimes you don't need to plan. Sometimes you need to do less planning and you need to more executing. If you heard that where I say, if you spend too much time training or studying and not enough time executing, you will go nowhere. And the phrase that I'm going to give you that I want you to remember, if you have a
Starting point is 00:03:52 pen and paper, write it down. If you're driving in your car, please don't write it down. Write it down some other time. And that is, here's the phrase, ready, fire, aim. And that means do your quick planning, studying, whatever needs to be done. And then just fire, execute, make your decision, go. And then once you're going and once you're moving and everything's going, then you can start to make adjustments. Then you can start to do your aim. And it's like a gun. People would say, aren't you supposed to ready, aim, fire?
Starting point is 00:04:22 And I think about it this way. If somebody's breaking into my house and I have my gun that's next to my bed, someone breaks into my house and they're about to come after me, I've naturally, I'm probably going to just pull the gun up and just start shooting all over the place, right? Like that's probably what's going to happen. And then I'll start to aim after I get a couple shots in because I just want to try to get that person away. But that's the thing. You need to do the same thing with your thing. You need to do the same thing with your business. You need to do the same thing with making changes in your life. You need to just execute and then make adjustments from there. Because most people out there, and I've been
Starting point is 00:04:53 this person, Spland, spend most of your time planning. And planning is just a way for you to feel like you're doing something when you're really not doing anything. Sometimes planning is great. Sure. If you plan to, if you, you fail to plan, you plan to fail, but there's over planning. And we all have to realize that you get to the law of diminishing returns where you're planning too much and you just need to be executing. So what I want to tell you for this episode is that you need to do less planning most of the time. Take the amount of planning that you normally do and cut it in half. And some of you are like, no, no, no, but I'm a planner. I'm a planner. And here's the deal. I get to see this all the time in the podcasting world. I know tons of people who are supposed to launch their podcast
Starting point is 00:05:35 last year and still have not launched their podcast because they're planning and trying to make it perfect. And in trying to make it perfect, they're actually making it even worse because they're thinking about it too much. And then they're making their content worse because of the fact that they're thinking about it too much. And then they're not genuine anymore. And that's the way that you have to think about it. You have to realize that sometimes you just need to get up and move. And then you need to make some adjustments once you've been doing it. So if you're the planner or the over planner, I want you to take a step back today and go, am I spending too much time planning and not enough time executing? Because sometimes, most of the time, you need to do very little planning. At
Starting point is 00:06:19 least some planning, of course, is always good, which is the ready part. So you ready, fire, which is execute, and then aim after you fire. You go, you make mistakes, and then you make adjustments. Because most people, let me tell you what it is. Most people want to over plan because they don't want to go out and fail. They don't want to go out and fail. They don't want to go out and make mistakes. So they're trying to get away from their fear of failure by overplanning. Let me say that again. You might be... I don't even remember what I just said. It was off the top of my head. You might be overplanning and not executing because of your fear of failure. That's usually what it is. It's not that you're just need everything to be perfect. It's that you might be afraid of going out there and actually failing, but you need to fire,
Starting point is 00:07:08 which means you need to go execute. You need to fail a couple times and make adjustments so that you can go down the right road. So that's what I have for you today. Ready, fire, aim, stop doing all of the aiming, stop doing all of the planning and start putting the work and start executing and stop letting failure hold you back in your fear of failure. You're masking as planning. So that being said, once again, if you're interested in coaching, we have been doing a lot of awesome stuff in coaching. I would love to have you. It is like the podcast on steroids is the best way to put it. If you go to mwfmotivation.com slash coaching, you can get some more information.
