Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I come out with a short, to-the-point, no-BS podcast designed to transform you from who you are today into who you want to be. There's no fluff here, just life-changing content. My name is Rob Dial, and the podcast starts now. Welcome to today's episode. If you have not yet done so, hit that subscribe button so that you never miss another episode. And as I announced on the last episode, I do have a free training for you. So I
Starting point is 00:00:47 do have the free journaling training, which you guys have heard about over the past few weeks, which is dialed in journal.com. And I do have another free one for you. There's no upsells, there's no catches, there's nothing like that. Literally, you can just download the video. And this one is on what I call the freedom mindset. It is the mindset, the way that I teach my, even my group coaching clients, all the way up to my one-on-one coaching clients that pay me thousands of dollars per month. It's a system of how to create the mindset that you want because your external world is not there by chance. It is created by you. Everything that you have done or not done in your life has got you to the place that you are. And all of that starts in your mind. So if you
Starting point is 00:01:30 can develop a certain mindset, I call it the Sapa system, S-A-P-A. If you can develop the freedom mindset through the Sapa system, you can create the external world that you want. It's literally that simple. Everything in your world, everything that you do or do not have starts with the thoughts that you have and that you create. So if you want to get this free Sapa system, how to develop the freedom mindset, all you have to do is go to www.dialedinmindset.com. You can download it absolutely free at that website there. Okay. So what we're going to be talking about today is the difference between $300 and $299. And before I do that, I want to talk about making a commitment to staying with something and not
Starting point is 00:02:20 giving up because that's what it's going to be about. The average podcast, just so you know, with something and not giving up because that's what it's going to be about. The average podcast, just so you know, the average podcast person starts a podcast, a podcast host gives up after seven episodes. That's how long the average lifespan is of an episode or a podcast before someone gives up. And the reason why is because most people like to give up on stuff. They like to start stuff, but then when stuff gets hard, they like to give up. It's easy to give up. start stuff, but then when stuff gets hard, they like to give up. It's easy to give up. It's always easiest to give up. It's harder to keep going. And when I talk about the difference between $300 and $299, I was listening to a podcast not too long ago. And if you listen to my episode with billionairepriceline.com founder, Jeff Hoffman, He actually was incredible to have on the podcast, but I was listening to
Starting point is 00:03:06 another podcast that he was on. And he was talking about how he is friends with Evandre Holyfield, who is the ex-heavyweight champion of the world for boxing. And he was friends with him and he was helping him do this crazy exercise that the average person might be able to do one rep, maybe 200, and he would do 300 of these every single day. And what happened was he was going through and Jeff was counting the reps and he was going through, it wasn't just like one rep. It was, you know, in a complete set was what he considered a rep. And he said, it was this crazy inhumane. He was like the only person in the world that could do this because he was considered at that point in time, one of the fittest people to
Starting point is 00:03:44 ever live. And he just 300 reps of it. And he came down and he, Jeff was in person counting. He said, Jeff, was that 299 or was that 300? After he got done with one of the reps of the sets that he had. And he said, oh, it was, I believe it was 300. And he goes, was it 299 or was it 300? He goes, I think it was 300. He goes, Jeff, was it 299 or was it 300? He goes, well, it was 300. And he didn't even look at him. He just went back down, ran down, did another set, another one of the reps. And he came back up to him and looked at him. He said, I think that was 299. And I think that you were wrong. And Jeff rolled his eyes. And, uh, you know, he was like, I don't, I don't understand the big difference between 299 and 300. And word for word, what he said is he said, look at me, look at me in the eyes. And he uh, you know, he was like, I don't, I don't understand the big difference between 299 and 300 and word for word. What he said is he said, look at me, look at me in the eyes. And he said,
Starting point is 00:04:28 the difference between 299 and 300 is the heavyweight champion of the world and every single other boxer out there in the world. So once again, he said the difference between 299 and 300 is that the heavyweight champion of the world does 300. And that's the difference between every single other boxer and the heavyweight champion of the world. And so here's the reason why. The best salespeople in the world are us talking ourselves out of doing something. The best salesperson in the world, the one that's going to close you more than anybody else is you trying to close yourself on why you shouldn't do something, why it's too tough, why it's hard to keep going. So if 299, you know, if your goal is 300 and 299 is enough today, it is acceptable
Starting point is 00:05:14 when the goal is 300, then tomorrow 298 will be acceptable when your goal is 299. And then the day after that, 297 will be acceptable when 298 was a goal. And what happens is it's actually a slippery slope. You start to let yourself come further and further down and your expectations for yourself go further and further down. And if you keep doing that, you keep going on that slippery slope, you're never going to get to be where you want to be. And I know that some people will listen to this and it'll go in one ear and it'll go right out the other ear. But please don't be one of those people. Please understand this. Realize
Starting point is 00:05:49 that that little bit, that tiny little bit extra every single time is what will separate the best in the world from every single other person in the world. And I can actually see right now, I'm looking at it right on my corkboard or excuse me on my whiteboard. That's right next to my desk. I have a two 99 with a red slash through it every day. Whenever you do something, ask yourself, was this two 99 or was this 300 after every podcast episode I do, I say, was this two 99 or was this 300? Did I bring my absolute best this episode or was it just good enough? Cause I know I could put stuff out there that's good enough and that people would still be impacted from, but I don't think you want just good enough. I think you want the best. So you need to ask yourself, did I bring my best today? Was today
Starting point is 00:06:30 299 or was today 300? Because here's what I want you to realize and here's what I want you to take away from this. 299 and 300 is the same thing as the average person starting a podcast and only going for seven episodes versus getting to 100, 200. I have people that I know that are over a thousand episodes of their podcast. Here's what you want to realize. There are no shortcuts to success. $299 will never be acceptable. It might be good enough to get you by, but $300 is going to be what you need to put in and the work that you need to put in and to get to where you really want to be. So that's what I want you to take from this episode. Ask yourself where you're allowing yourself to be short and come up with shortcuts because there are no shortcuts to success. The difference between 300 and 299
Starting point is 00:07:13 is the heavyweight champion of the world and every single other box in the world. So with that, I want to leave you the same way I leave you every single episode. Make it your mission to make somebody else's day better. And if you know someone that would like this, that would get something from it, all I ask is that you share this with them. And I'm going to leave you the same way I leave you every episode. Make it your mission to make somebody else's day better. I appreciate you. And I hope that you have an amazing day.
