So I appreciate you all for joining, for your emails, for your love, support, everything.
But let's go ahead and dive into today's episode.
Today I'm going to be talking about finding your purpose.
Now one thing that I've noticed with a lot of people,
and I mean a lot, is there seems to be a lot of people that are really down on themselves.
And the reason why is because they feel like they haven't found their purpose.
And they feel like their purpose is the thing that they have to live and die by. The thing that
it is the hill that they will die upon. It is everything that they're
alive for the reason why they're alive. And it stresses them out because they feel like they
haven't found their purpose. They haven't found that one thing, the one thing that makes them
feel alive. And if they have, they feel like, Oh my God, I don't know how I'm going to make money
off of my purpose. Two things I want to say around that. There's jackhammers in this world,
which is very rare. And there's hummingbirds in this world, which is definitely a lot more
hummingbirds than there are jackhammers. Let me explain both of them to you. A jackhammer is,
is someone like me. I happen to be lucky enough to, to know the one thing that I'm alive for.
The one thing that I feel like I would die for.
And that is what I'm doing now. That is the purpose, the mission that I'm on to spread my
message and to help people learn how to remove themselves from their own mental suffering.
Now, everybody thinks that that's how they have to be. I'm lucky enough to have found it,
but most people are not like that. So if you're out there and you're thinking to yourself, holy crap, I've been trying to
figure out what it is that I'm so passionate about.
I've been trying to figure out what it is that I'm alive for.
Maybe you're not a jackhammer and that's okay.
A jackhammer is like me where it's just like, you know what it is and you're just going
to bash your face in into the ground, into the wall, whatever it is until you break through
to the other side because you know exactly what that thing is that you're willing to push and push and push and push and push for,
just like a jackhammer would be. Now, most people on the other hand are hummingbirds though.
Now a hummingbird, if you've ever watched a hummingbird, it goes and it flies and it's on
the flower for a little while and then it flies away and it goes to another flower for a little
while and then it goes to another flower for a little while. And I think that that's how most people actually are.
And that's how you are with your passions. And that's completely okay. When you have your passion,
it doesn't have to be something that you do until the day you die. I think that most people,
what it is, is it's something that you do for two, three, four years, like a hummingbird.
You're at one flower for a little while. And you're like, you know what? Yeah. I feel like I've gotten enough from this flower. I'm going to go to
the next one. And you have a new passion and you stay around that one for a little while and you
stay for three, four, five, six years, maybe. And you're like, okay, you know, I've, I've got
enough from this flower. I'm going to go to the next one. And you might spend two years on that
flower. And then you go to the next one. Your passion doesn't have to be
something that you're just going to live and die by. And so if you're out there and you feel like
that's what you've been searching for, take a deep breath and realize that maybe for you,
it's just that you're a hummingbird. You're going to go to one thing for a little while,
and then you go to another thing for a little while, and you're going to go to one thing for a little while and then you go to another thing for a little while and you're going to go to another thing. But all that really matters is
that while you're there, you're putting a hundred percent into what it is that you're doing.
Don't be a hummingbird that's, you know, putting 50% of what you're doing into one flower and then
50% of one thing into another flower, just in case the first flower doesn't work out because
then you're never going to get anywhere. If you're a hummingbird, if you feel like that's you, well then put 100% of your focus into the one flower
that you're on right now, the one passion that you're on right now before you switch over to the
other one. And then after you feel like you've gotten all of the nectar that you can get out of
a flower, you've gotten 100% of it out, Then you go into the next flower, right? And so
if you're out there and you've, you're like, I hope this for some of you, you're going,
wow, holy crap. This is exactly what I needed to hear. This is literally the way that I feel
because I don't have something that I think I'm willing to die for. And I hear about a bunch of
people out there that saying, Oh, I need to figure out something I need to die for. No,
you just need to find something that you're absolutely in love with right now. Don't do it for two months and then
switch to the next thing or do 50% of it now and 50% of it later, put a hundred percent of it right
now into what you can. And what happens is this, you'll eventually find one thing, one flower where
you're like, Hmm, this one, this one hits in this one I could do for a long time. And maybe you do
it for the next 10 years, next 15 years, and that's okay. But you don't have to feel like
it's something you have to do forever. Another misconception that I find with people and their
passions is that they feel like they have to make money off of their passion. That's the one thing
where people are like, oh, I see people like this person and they're making so much money doing this and they're so passionate about it and it's
literally what they're alive for and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Number one, I don't even know what the hell I'm passionate about.
Number two, I don't know how the hell to make money off of my passion, right?
Sometimes what you have to realize is that your passion might be something that you make
no money off of and that's okay.
It's the thing that you absolutely love. Most people
think that they need to make money off their passion. You don't have to, but you can make
money, your job or your, your company. If you own the company, whatever it is, whether you work for
someone else or whether you work for yourself, that should provide the money and the freedom
that you need to have as much time to put into your passion as possible.
So maybe you're just really passionate about horses, right? Let's just say you're really passionate about horses. You're like, Oh my God, I just love horses so much. I just don't know how
to make money off of horses and it drives me crazy. Maybe you don't have to make any freaking
money off of horses. Maybe you have a job that gives you enough money and gives you enough
freedom to be able
to spend time with a horse, with your horses, with extra horses, whatever it is.
And therefore you have to find out that, oh my gosh, I don't have to have a job that is
also my passion.
If you can find that amazing, great.
That's what everyone's searching for, but it doesn't have to be that way for everybody.
You know, you're on Instagram and you see all the people that are like,
oh, follow your passions.
I love what I'm doing.
I'm traveling the world right now and I'm making millions of dollars traveling the world.
And you're like, what the hell am I doing with my life?
I just love horses.
How the hell can I make a million dollars off of horses?
All you need to do is this.
Two things that I want you to get from this.
You're either a hummingbird or you're a jackhammer.
Figure out which one you are now. Think about it for a second. or you're a jackhammer figure out which one you are now think about it for a second your intuition is
gonna automatically tell you which one you are and it's okay both of them are
just fine and the next thing is find out what your passion is and realize that
you don't have to make money off your passion it's not a requirement to make
money off of your passion it's just just a bonus. But sometimes you can make a
lot more money and get a lot more freedom by doing something else. And that freedom and that money
can be used for your passions. So that's what I got for you for today's episode.
If you have not done so, please share that with someone that you know and someone that you love,
someone you think would be able to get something from this.
And I've been getting a lot of amazing stories from you guys.
So I really love the stories.
If you guys would continue to send in your stories to me, to rob at robdial.com of the good deeds that you're doing for people, I'm going to start sharing the stories of instead
of just saying to you guys, hey, make it your mission, make somebody else's day possible.
Instead of saying, make it your mission, make someone else's day better. What I'm actually going to be doing is I'm actually
going to be saying that, but then also giving you a story of one of our listeners and how they're
making someone else's day better. So please send me an email, even if it's the tiniest thing,
even if you just buy coffee for the person in the car behind you at Starbucks, send me an email,
let me know, but go do something for someone today. That's good. That's a good deed. So
therefore you have an email to send me to tell me about. I would love to share your story. And even
if you want it to be anonymous, I'll make it anonymous. No worries. I would just love to share
the story that you have. So that inspires somebody else to go out and do something for someone else
as well. So with that, I'm going to leave you the same way, leave you every single episode,
make it your mission, make someone else's day better. I appreciate you and I hope that you have an amazing day.
