of regret. And I'm also going to talk about the pain of hard work. And here's the deal. Working
hard, sometimes it really sucks. It really,
really sucks sometimes. It's tiring. You're going to lose a lot of sleep. There's times where I'm
up till midnight, 1am working sometimes. You're going to sometimes lose fake friends or friends
that are around you that are just your partying friends that want to go out on the weekends
because you have to work hard. Sometimes you're going to miss their birthday parties. You're
going to go through some of those things. Some of it, working hard, it really, really sucks. Some of it's very great,
but a lot of times it really sucks. And that's why most people don't do it. And that's why it's
called hard work is because it is hard. But the only thing that's worse than hard work is the pain
of regret. The only thing worse than the pain of hard work is the pain of regret. So looking back
in 20 years, are you going to be looking back in 20 years and
saying, man, I wish I would have worked harder for what I believe in. I wish I would have built
the life that I wanted to versus building somebody else's dreams. I wish I would have gone out and
started that business that I really wanted to. My family could have had such a better life if I
would have gone after my dreams.
My kids could be getting out of college with absolutely no debt.
My family could have gone on more trips.
We could have spent more time together.
I could be retired right now.
Is that going to be you in 20 years where you think that way?
Because that regret is going to be way worse.
It's going to weigh way heavier.
It's going to weigh way heavier.
That's an interesting way of putting it. It's going to weigh a weigh heavier. That's an interesting way of putting it.
It's going to weigh a lot more on you than the pain of hard work did. That pain of regret will.
See, because here's the deal. We only get one life and you have to realize that. I know it.
You know it. We get one life. But do you really, deep down inside, do you know it? Do you feel that you only have one life? And do you know that most people waste it working for somebody else,
not doing what they truly are passionate about,
not doing what they truly believe
and not trying to build something
that's going to help other people.
And in turn, helping a lot of people
or helping billions of people make money themselves.
They say the next way to be a billionaire
is figure out a way to help
a billion people's lives get better.
That's the way to become a billionaire.
Are you going to look back and regret? Are you going to look back and go, man,
I worked really hard, but it was so great. And most people use their 20s as a time for
self-discovery. The 20s, their early 30s, all of that. And it should be. But what you have to
realize is no matter what age you are, the seeds that you plant right now are going to be the tree
that you're sitting under the next 20 years? In 20 years,
are you going to be sitting under a tree that's completely full and it's amazing and it could be
a money tree and it's providing a whole bunch of shade? Or are you planting the seeds right now
that's going to build up a little tiny dinky one that looks like it died 15 years ago? What's your
tree going to look like? Because the seeds that you plant right now are going to turn into something later on in your life. As the quote says, the best time to plant a seed is 20 years
ago. The second best time to plant a seed is right now. So what's your tree going to look like in 20
years? Your life now is a reflection of the seeds that you planted in the past. If your life sucks,
if your bank account sucks, if your life sucks, if your bank account sucks,
if your relationship sucks, if your life sucks,
it is your fault and you have to stop blaming
the rest of the world and the outside world.
And you have to start committing to realizing
that you're the CEO of your life.
If it's great, that's your fault.
If it sucks, that's your fault.
Stop blaming the outside world if your life sucks right now.
If your life is not where you want it to be,
what can you do right now to plant the right seeds that are going to turn into the tree that
you want to in 20 years? To create the life that you want in the future, you have to plant the
right seeds right now because the future for most of us is going to come. Most of you listening to
this, you will be alive in five years. The choices that you make right now will
dictate what that future in five years is going to be. Don't get to the end of your life wishing
that you would have done more. Don't get to the end of life wishing that you would have started
your own business. Don't get to the end of life wishing that you would have worked harder or
believed more in what you were doing or built the life where your children could be proud of you.
Don't have that life where you're wishing and it ends up just being a whole bunch of regret. Regretting not doing what you wanted to. Regret
not going for the dreams that you want to. Regret not making the dream life that you really wanted
to as well. Because five years for most of you is going to come. But it's either going to be a
great five years by what you do right now, or it's going to be an absolute crap five years,
or it's just going to be the same that it is and nothing's going to change. It might not get worse. It might not be
horrible, but it might just be the same that it's always been. And that might not be exciting to you.
If your life right now is not exciting to you and you don't make changes, then your life in five
years is not going to be any different. So realize that the seeds that you plant right now are going
to dictate the life that you're going to have.
So I want you to think about that.
But I do want to tell you, no matter what you decide to do, I do appreciate you.
And I want to make sure that each of you go out there and you make somebody else's day better.
And I want you to go out there and also start planting the seeds that are going to create
the life that you really want.
So with that, I hope that you have an amazing day.
Well, that's it for today's podcast.
