Once again, mwfmotivation.com slash FB group. All right, I'll get you the podcast right now. Today, what I'm going to be talking about is Tarzan and what is called the Tarzan method. Now, I want you to think of it this way. You are at one side of the jungle and you are Tarzan. Your goals, your dreams, your desires, everything that you've ever wanted is on the other side of the jungle.
Starting point is 00:02:31 What we're trying to do is we're trying to get you from where you are now all the way to the other side of the jungle to where you want to be. The problem with that is this. There is no straight line from where you are right now to where you want to be, where all of your goals and your dreams and your hopes and desires on the other side of the jungle, there's no straight line. But here's the thing. How does Tarzan get from one side of the jungle to the other side of the jungle? He swings from one branch to another branch, right? He doesn't swing multiple branches. He swings from one spot to another spot and he grabs on to
Starting point is 00:03:06 whatever vine is the next best vine. And here's how your journey of your life, the journey of your success will be. There will be no straight line to success. What you'll need to think about is I'm right here. I need to find out what the next vine is. Where's the next vine? The next place that I go to, maybe that's the next month. You ask yourself the next month, what do I need to concentrate on? What do I need to focus on? Where do I need to go next? What's going to help my business the most? Is it going out to networking groups? What is it? What is my next vine that I need to swing to? Here's the thing. If you think about it, the vine is not going to be right in front of you. Sometimes you have to swing way far off to the left in order to get the next
Starting point is 00:03:46 vine. And it might seem like that next vine is out of the way. It might seem like it's not directly attached to your goals. It's not directly the straight line, but it's getting you a little bit further ahead of where you were. And then you might have to swing all the way over to the right to get over to the next vine that's going to move you just a little bit. Sometimes you have to think about the next best vine actually might be behind you, which will get you closer to the one that you need to go forward. So sometimes it's going to feel like you're taking a step back when you really want to be going forward. But sometimes taking a step back is actually the next vine, the best vine to grab onto. So you have to think about it this way. If you're going from one side of the jungle to the other, you might swing to the right side.
Starting point is 00:04:37 You might swing to the left side. You might swing further to the right side. You might swing even further to the right side. And then you might look and go, crap, the next best vine is actually a couple feet behind me. But if I go a couple feet behind me, it's going to get me closer to the vine that's even further. I can't reach it from this vine, but if I were to go back a little bit, I can actually reach it if I go back a little bit. And that's the Tarzan method. Your goals, where you are now, you're on one side of the jungle. Your goals, your dreams, your desires, everything that you want is on the other side of the jungle. And to get there, it's not going to be one straight line.
Starting point is 00:05:10 You have to swing to the left and further to the left and sometimes all the way over to the right. And you might be moving just a little bit forward each time that you do it, but you're still moving forward. You might be moving a tiny bit backwards, but you're moving that tiny bit backwards in order to make a big step forwards. Sometimes you have to go back to get to the next best vine. There is no straight line for you to get from where you are to where you want to go.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And sometimes you're going to think about it and go, I don't know if this is the next best vine, but for some reason, I think I should probably go this way. And you have to realize that sometimes it doesn't necessarily, if you want to get from point A to point B, sometimes you're going to have to take different vines that seem like they're a little bit out of the way. Sometimes you're going to have to take different vines that seem like they're not really associated with point B, with the end result, the goals, the dreams, desires. But we can all agree. There's sometimes where we know what our goals and our dreams are, and we have to take some step that seems like it's not really associated with it.
Starting point is 00:06:10 But then we get there and we're like, man, I'm really glad I did that because it's going to make me better as I go on the journey towards what I'm working towards. So the Tarzan method is this. You are where you are. You're trying to get to a certain spot on the other side of the jungle. Sometimes you have to swing from vine to get to a certain spot on the other side of the jungle. Sometimes you have to swing from vine to vine. And sometimes those vines feel like they're completely out of the way. And sometimes they feel like they're backwards. But ultimately, if you just keep swinging from one to the other, right? You can't take five swings at once.
Starting point is 00:06:38 It's one branch to another branch, to another branch, to another branch. And you just take one little step and you focus on what the next best vine is, you will eventually get to where you want to be. It's probably not going to happen as soon as you want it to because we all want success right this second. We all want our goals and dreams and desires right this second. It's going to take longer than you expect, but if you just keep swinging, you will eventually get there. So if you like this episode, if you have somebody that you know that you love that would get something from this episode, please do me a favor and share it with them.
