Starting point is 00:00:39 so that you never miss another episode. And if you are interested in joining my private group coaching, where I give lessons every single week, more in-depth lessons, 30 to 45 minutes, sometimes hour-long Facebook live lessons inside of this group to help you grow, to help you improve, to help you become the person that you want to be. We talk about psychological things. We talk about things that have to do with creating action, with creating habits, with creating the world that you want to, making the money that you want to, setting the goals and achieving the goals that you want to. If you're interested in getting the head start into the next year, into 2019, now would be the
Starting point is 00:01:12 time to do it so that you don't just hit 2019 and start from nothing, but you literally are running through 2019. So if you're interested in joining in on that private group coaching, send me an email, rob at robdial.com. Once again, rob at robdial.com. I'll send you the information. You can see if it's right for you. You could try it all out, join the group, watch the lessons, and make sure that you hit 2019 running instead of starting from absolutely nothing. So once again, send me an email, rob at robdial.com. And we're going to go ahead and dive in. With that being said, what we're going to be talking about today is sharing good. And here's the thing that I want to share with you.
Starting point is 00:01:52 I was in the airport coming back from a talk that I gave in Atlanta. And I was waiting for my phone to connect to the Wi-Fi. And my headphones had gone out because there was nothing playing. I was waiting to connect my Spotify and the TV was on. The news was on like it plays in the airport and right above my head. And I was listening to it and the news is so freaking negative. And I want you guys to realize this. You've heard me talk about this. If you go back to the episode of Brainwash Yourself and you've gotten my emails where I talk about how I brainwash myself every single week to be successful, what you focus
Starting point is 00:02:30 on is what your life is going to be. People who are the most negative are usually the people who are paying attention to the news. The news makes things seem absolutely terrible right now. But what I want you to realize is that things have never been better in human history than they are right now. But what I want you to realize is that things have never been better in human history than they are right now. But you don't see that because the news knows that people love negative stuff. The news knows that people naturally have two million year old brains that want to focus on the negative because that negative used to keep us alive.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Now it doesn't. Now it just makes us get fears and holds us back and all these different types of things. So I want to have a challenge to you. Actually, before I tell you about the challenge, let me tell you the reason why it's the best in human history. Things are amazing right now. And if you look at the Department of Justice, DOJ.gov, and you look at all of their crime rates, their crime rates are the lowest they've ever been. The murder rates are the lowest they've ever been. Gun violence is the lowest it has ever been, but you would never know that. Almost everything across the board is lowest it's ever been. But for some reason, let's think about this. Why does it seem like it's so terrible right now?
Starting point is 00:03:45 reason, let's think about this. Why does it seem like it's so terrible right now? Number one, the main reason why is because technology's advancements. 15, 20 years ago, actually in the 90s, just so you know, it was double. The murder rates and the gun violence was double what it is right now. That's crazy. Gun violence was higher every single year up until this year prior to 1952. 1952 was the last time gun violence was as low as it is right now. The reason why it seems like things are so bad is two reasons. Well, both reasons are under technology. Number one, we have more devices that we're able to videotape and take pictures of all of the things that happened, these small little anomalies that happen. So that's number one is the technology has the cameras to actually, there's more cameras all over the world than there ever have been.
Starting point is 00:04:36 There's one in your pocket. That's crazy. 15, 20 years ago when I was a kid, you didn't have cameras in your pocket. You had to have a ton of money and you had to put that thing over your shoulder because it was huge. So of course you did not see as much violence because of that reason exactly. That's the first reason. The second reason of technology is because it's so easy to share.
Starting point is 00:04:55 It's so easy to get on Facebook and just upload a video or put something on Twitter or something on Instagram or just share something on Snapchat. It's easy. So the challenge that I have for you is this. If you are a person who you see some of the negative stuff and you feel that by pushing the share button on some of the negative stuff that you are keeping people up to date on what is going on, I want to challenge you not to do that anymore.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Whether you're the person who does that or you don't do that, I want to challenge you guys to do this. Share good. Share the good news. Share the amazing things that are happening in the world. Share more puppies and kittens because people love those things on Facebook. But share the good. Share the encouraging stories of the cops that are giving back sometimes. The amazing stories that I see that are like the cops and the Black Lives Matter, they were on... What was it? It was the cops matter on one side and the Black Lives Matter on one side. And then they ended up getting together and having a barbecue. Share that type of stuff. Share the good stuff. Share the good in the world. Think of it this way.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Whatever you give, you get. So if you share a ton of bad stuff, there's a pretty good chance you might get some bad stuff coming back to you. But if you share a ton of good and you try to do good and you try to give and be grateful and do all of these things, you'll be rewarded for it. Things are not as bad as the media tries to make them, especially right now with the presidential campaigns where the Republicans and the Democrats make it look like we're completely unsafe in this world because of all of the crazy things that keep happening. Stop believing the BS that's being fed to you and start sharing the good. Start feeding people's news feeds with great stuff. That's the reason why I say, hey, like our Facebook
Starting point is 00:06:45 is because I'm trying to flood your news feed with good stuff that takes your mind away from the crap. So if you don't follow us, it's MWF or actually it's facebook.com slash MWF motivation. But do the same. If you see something that I share from our Facebook, the MWF motivation page, and it's good and you like it and it's good news, share it with other people. Share the good. Make people stop thinking about all of the bad stuff that, I say with quotation marks, all of the bad stuff. The small amount of bad anomalies that are happening and start sharing all of the good. So that's the challenge that I want to give to you guys is to do that. And if you're a person who focuses on negative, stop focusing on negative. Start focusing on positive. Start
Starting point is 00:07:29 sharing the good. Start being good. Start giving more smiles and high fives and hugs and all of that crap out to people. Share good. Don't share bad because people who don't know how their mind work are going to think that the world is getting worse and worse. And that's going to hold people back from being the greatest self that they could be. So with that, I appreciate you and I hope that you have an amazing day. Well, that's it for today's podcast.
