And last but not least, if you have not joined our Facebook group, I have started a Facebook group because obviously the Facebook, which is my personal page, which was dealing with the podcast is over 80,000 people that like it now.
thousand people that like it now. And I hired a social media manager, one of the best in the world to help me with going and working on that social media and growing it to one of the largest
pages in the world. But that being said, I wanted to have my own personal page to connect with you
guys, a group where I could connect with you, put up videos, let you know of new episodes,
let you know of extra things that have to do with the podcast, just specifically
for podcast listeners. So if you want to go ahead and join in on that group, which will be for the
MWF Motivation podcast listeners, that community, go to mwfmotivation.com slash FB group, just like
Facebook group. Once again, mwfmotivation.com slash FB group.
All right, I'll get you the podcast right now.
Today, what I'm going to be talking about is why I personally believe that you should not rely
on motivation for anything. And I get it. I run a podcast called MWF Motivation.
And I get it, I run a podcast called MWF Motivation.
But as I've told you as of recently, motivation is not what we're searching for.
The reason why motivation is not what we're searching for is because motivation is fleeting.
It's very unreliable.
Some days we feel like we have motivation, some days we feel like we don't.
Some days we feel like we have more motivation if we chug a cup of coffee.
I know personally for me,
that's when I feel like I have more motivation is if I chug a bunch of coffee,
do a bunch of pushups, run up and down my stairs,
and I'm like, all right, man, I'm fired up.
I'm ready to go do this.
That's fleeting.
What you're really searching for is drive and discipline.
Discipline is what you're searching for in your life.
Being driven for something is what you're searching for in your life. Being driven for something is
what you're searching for in your life. Discipline is unyielding. It's a force behind yourself. You
will force yourself to follow through. You will force yourself to do what needs to be done when
it needs to be done. Because here's the deal. Things are going to come up in your life that
are going to get in the way. We all know that right now. Things are going to come up in your life that are going to get in the way. We all know that right now.
Things are going to come up in your life that are going to get in the way of your goals.
But that is no reason for them to stop you.
See, if you are just searching for motivation and hoping motivation is going to be there for you, then of course, when things come up, if you don't have
that motivation, you're going to let stuff get in your way. But if you have discipline to do what
needs to be done when it needs to be done, no matter what, then when things come up, guess what?
You're still going to get them done. So what you're searching for, what you're really searching for is the discipline and
drive to do things.
An example of that, if you were supposed to go to the gym today, but you don't have the
full hour that you had or you're supposed to be, you know, going to the gym, that's
fine.
Do some pushups right now.
Run up and down your stairs.
Do some squats.
Go in your backyard and do some stuff that needs to be done.
Run around.
Do some sprints.
Right?
That's discipline.
Things will get in the way.
You don't have the full hour.
Get it done anyways.
You were supposed to go for a run.
You can't do the entire run.
Doesn't matter.
Do half of the run.
Do something.
Because any action is better than inaction. If you don't like the food
that you need to eat in order to lose the weight, tough shit. Get it done.
Sorry to cuss, but it needs to be said. Your life is here. It's now. Stop making excuses as to why you're not getting to your goals because
nobody cares about your excuses. A little discomfort is worth the change.
The discomfort of going for a run when you don't want to, doing pushups when you don't have time
to go to the gym, eating the food that you don't want to eat when you really just want to eat a
pizza. I get it. Please. I want to eat a pizza all day, every day. That's the only
thing I would eat if I could. So a little discomfort of eating something that you don't
want to do or getting up off your butt when you don't want to do something, that discomfort is
worth the change that you will get from it because in the end, you will have a mind and body that is as tough as you want it to be.
So don't rely on motivation anymore.
Don't hope that the motivational fairy is going to come and sprinkle her motivational
dust all over you and you wake up and you're super fired up.
No, what you have to think about is the drive and discipline to get things done when they
need to be done.
Because you are going to have one life and one
life only. As the best of our knowledge, we don't know if any other lives exist.
Are you wasting it or are you getting done what you want to get done? Because progress
equals happiness. If you are progressing in your life, in your business, financially,
in your relationships, in all of those things, you will be happy.
If you're not happy with where you are, there's a pretty good chance that the reason why is because there's been no progress in some portion of your life. So here's the deal.
Search for drive. Search for discipline. Don't search for motivation. Know what you want, know why you want it,
and then push yourself every freaking day to get it. And that's how you'll be successful.
That's how you'll look back and be excited about your life. Because this is your one chance.
Don't waste it. And if you are wasting it, stop wasting it. This is the kick in the pants that
you need. This is what you need
to listen to. If you need to wake up every single morning and listen to this one episode, then wake
up every single morning and listen to this one episode. Get it done when it needs to be done.
That's the way you have to think about it. So if you like this episode, please do me a favor.
Please share it with a friend. Please share it with somebody. If every single person were to
