Hi, I'm Paul F. Tompkins.
And I'm Nicole Parker.
On this podcast, we improvise in character using real posts from a popular neighborhood networking website.
Occasionally, we change the names of some streets.
And that's all you need to know.
To support the show and unlock the ad-free archive, as well as exclusive monthly episodes of the bonus room, go to CBBWorld.com and sign up for a Maximus membership.
And now, please enjoy this episode of The Neighborhood Listen.
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Your neighbor.
Good.
In Dignity Falls, you're never alone.
You've got the neighbor half app and us.
Burn.
And Joe.
From coyotes to male theft to weird things to sell.
We'll cover it all.
And meet new neighbors as well.
We'll chat about any posts you're missing.
So just tune in to the neighborhood listen.
Welcome.
10 plus one style welcome.
It's 11 for those of you who are figuring it out.
That's right.
I was having fun.
I know you were.
To the neighborhood list in it's season 11 stylized in Wikipedia as season 11 Evan.
Yes.
This is really hard for me.
We came up with this over the summer and I still don't get it right.
But we were trying to come up with, you know, we always come up with a name for our seasons.
Last time was sensational.
That's right.
This time, and this took me a really long, this came up and then we were talking about the poster of seven, the movie.
And it was a whole thing.
E11 Evan, right?
That's how we're saying.
That's right.
E11-nevent.
Yeah, it's going to take a minute.
It's going to take a minute to sink it.
You've crushed it so far.
Well, thank you.
It's only because I'm reading it.
I have to sort of look at it and then like phonetically do it.
Reading is fundamental.
That's what reading is, isn't it?
It sure is.
So season 11-neven.
Do we say 11-even or 11-E11?
E-11.
E-11.
Why do we say E-11?
Why can I be E-11-E-E?
Because it's easier to say E-I think.
I'm trying to help you.
No one says 11.
11?
I guess if you're British you do.
It's at 11 o'clock.
E.O. 11.
Don't you remember from the original Oceans 11?
Sam Adivis Jr.
Oh, did he sing that?
Yes.
Oh, I've never seen the original one.
They had a song about 11.
They did.
And that's how it became now a franchise.
And that's how it became now a franchise.
And of course it was Oceans 8.
It was ladies, so they had to take away three.
Yes.
So they make Oceans 11.
Why do they have to subtract the number for the ladies?
I think to keep it fresh.
That's not fresh.
Also to reflect the women's pace kale.
Great.
Good job.
If you're trying to get me angry from the very beginning, you're not wrong.
I appreciate you talking about it.
If it had been oceans 10, then the ladies' version would have been ocean seven.
Okay.
Because they make 10th, they make seven on the dollar, right?
Yeah, this is, but let's laugh about it, Burns.
This is funny.
Joan!
I know that you're an ally.
I know you're an ally.
I know you're an ally.
It just gets me angry.
I love pronouns.
It gets my dander up.
Of course.
I understand.
Do you know what that phrase came from?
Yeah, we probably do.
I bet that one's easy to track down.
Babe, are you going to do an early chime in?
I thought I heard his voice.
He was like so far away.
He's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Who am I?
Who am I?
You're my husband.
Oh, good job.
My husband is our engineer, of course, and he's recording.
Of course he is.
This time, you're, this is so easy.
His name is Doug.
His name is Doug.
I love him.
He is Jones husband.
He's our engineer.
He always records the podcast from a different room in the pedestrian corn
household.
And he, yes, for those of you
just joining us, he took my last name.
By the way, my name was Birdme at Payday.
With me as Joan Pedestrian.
We're not going to get you right away.
We have to do our introductions.
We have to get to us first.
It's like we haven't done this ever.
Exactly.
That's how it feels.
It's how it feels right now.
Can we tell the listener now the secret?
Okay.
This is actually the first season we're recording.
And we're hoping that we make it to season 11.
That's a joke.
That's a joke.
It's a joke.
It's not really, let's not confuse everybody.
We're not doing a mold.
or situation right now.
No, but we did record the theme song to the podcast years before.
Now, that is true.
Randomly we met and we were like, I said, like, have this weird idea.
Do you want, and you didn't even sing at the time.
You were only singing one note.
That's right.
And we recorded it.
And then years later, we decided to put a podcast to do it.
This was in 45 minutes of meeting each other.
It was.
But you know, that just shows we did have a connection.
Exactly.
Yeah.
And that's how our friendship is formed.
Exactly.
Now tell everyone who you are.
My name is burnt.
Oh, come on.
You haven't forgotten who you are.
I almost said burnt pedestrian.
Oh, whoa.
Oh, that's awkward.
Why is it awkward?
I could be your brother.
You could be my brother, I suppose.
I forgot about that relationship.
I could be your father figure.
I'm going to put my tiny hand in yours.
Your hands are very small.
They are very tiny.
We've already discussed your extremely long pans,
labyrinth fingers.
Yeah, I don't like to call them that.
I know.
Sorry, I shouldn't have said that.
That's rude.
And of course I regret these eyeball tattoos on my polis.
You did finally get them.
Before the dog.
You said when you go past a tattoo parlor,
they're always like,
I know what you want.
These are just Hannah, though.
I'm trying it out.
Oh, thank God.
You're trying to.
What do you think?
I don't know.
Okay, then if you have them,
Burnt, can you please do it?
Do the move.
Please do the move.
Go for you.
Putting his microphone down.
Ah, it's so creepy.
It is creepy.
Okay, so my name is Bert,
Mia Padee.
I am the pharmacist in chief
at the Dignity Fallsamacy,
Dignity.
No.
My name is Bert.
I really want you to shorten this intro.
I know.
you do.
This has been your bugaboo for such a long time.
It's been a bugaboo.
It's been a bug bear.
It's been a bee in your bonnet.
It's been a bug juice.
My name is burnt.
Okay.
Try it again.
I just think we should shorten it.
You got so plaintive there.
What were you going to say?
Well, I didn't want to come in over you really hard.
So I was just trying to.
You know what?
We'll let the listeners decide if it needs a rewrite.
I'll do it this way, maybe for the final time.
Okay, do it.
Go for it.
Final time.
And if the listeners say that needs to be rewritten,
then we'll find out.
So let us hear from you.
Does this need to be written?
Go.
Yes.
My name is Burtmia Payday.
I am the pharmacist in chief at the Dignity Falls.
Dignity Falls Macy pharmacy.
Okay, that was well done.
He closed his eyes to do it, but that's okay.
I would do.
I wish you wouldn't tell people when I'm closing my eyes.
They love knowing behind the C.
It's BTS.
But some of it's on their business.
They love this.
We should probably start filming this.
You know, everyone's filming the podcast now.
It just means I have to, you know, do my brows.
You mean paint them all.
Yes.
Yes.
Now, you plucked in the 90s.
I overplucked.
You terminally plucked.
I terminally plucked.
And there was,
there's nothing left.
There isn't,
although I have been,
I've been doing some dreams.
I've never been very good
at drawing them on.
You know, it's hard for me.
But now I'm thinking
of getting them tattooed on.
You know, you can do that.
So you'll have your eyes
and all of my brows.
Well, that's right.
You can't do threading because there's nothing there.
Eye brows.
Oh, isn't that fun?
How that worked out?
Brows.
Isn't that fun?
Brows.
Isn't that fun?
We have fun here.
Didn't we have fun?
We do have fun.
Now that's me.
That's you.
Now who are you?
Me, I am Joan Pedestrian.
I'm a local realtor at the top realtor.
That's right.
I can't forget that part.
And I'm a local actress,
generally doing things in the community with Dignity Falls Community Playhouse.
I am offer only there.
And I also have been dipping my toe into the...
That's the part that made you shocked.
What did you think I was going to...
Was it scandalous to say that?
No, not scandalous.
I'm just excited.
to see what your toe is.
No, this is not news to you.
I just say recently I've been dipping my toe
into riding my own things, producing my own things.
That's right.
No, there's nothing new.
See, it was nothing exciting for you.
Nothing new, see?
Nothing new, see?
No, let's not get going on that.
So my husband, Doug, is the love of my life.
And he often engineers,
mostly just for our podcast.
But sometimes he's been freelancing a little bit.
We'll have to ask him about that.
But he's always in a different room
and this is totally influenced by my twin boys over the summer,
and he is in the backrooms right now, babe.
So where, tell us about this.
Oh, no, Doug, you're not in the backrooms.
The YouTube sensation, the movie called Backrooms,
all about these liminal spaces behind malls.
Liminal spaces.
I don't know how far ever reach that one has.
How far ever reached that one?
I would never go there.
It's not national.
You never leave.
I would never go.
No, you'd never go to little spaces to shop.
endless sofas and you never leave.
It's just a maze of sofas.
We'll probably get in trouble.
Because, Bert, you can sing so well now.
That was perfect.
Well, thank you.
That was too close to the melody.
We're going to get in trouble.
It's a jingle I've wanted to sing for such a long time.
Oh, really?
And you're on the car, you've just been going,
Living spaces.
Living spaces.
It's a real breakthrough he made over the last two years.
Burn can now sing a tune.
It's great.
That's right. So, babe, please tell me that you're not like building an entire...
Do, do, do, looking out my back rooms.
Oh, no.
Honey, how long did you work on that?
Almost the perfect crime.
And then you faltered at the finish.
What do you mean?
It really seemed like you were so close to being done.
And then you doubted.
A note of doubt, he did.
He really did jump in with his full chest.
And then he did cave a little.
Absolutely.
What did?
What happened?
Yeah, walk it through.
When I started that jingle.
I was certain that the name was back doors.
Oh, no, you were?
How did you forget?
We were just saying backrooms.
Just saying backrooms.
So you thought it was a one-to-one.
You thought you didn't have to change it at all.
This is going to land.
This is going to be an immaculate landing.
Imagine his terror as he's headed towards looking at my and getting to back and going, oh, no.
And I remember right at that moment.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
That's terrible.
And I was hoping you wouldn't
notice that little gap.
I'm sorry, Doug.
But it was.
I thought the gap could have been,
you know,
for impact.
It might as well,
it might as well
have been an eight foot tall pirate
how noticeable it was.
God,
don't even mention,
I have had bad dreams about that.
I'm afraid of all the people
that are going to go
as that guy for Halloween.
Like I,
there is something so upsetting.
How many people do you think
are going to go
as an eight foot tall pirate?
Oh, so many.
Just get some stilts.
But you got to divide by half.
What if you're tall?
What if you're tall?
Two people.
people per costume.
Two people per costume.
It's a good couple's costume.
It is a very good.
A pirate from back rooms?
Yeah.
So babe, please tell me it's not going to be like, listen, I don't ever want to be caught in
these things.
I want to know if it's just one.
I drew on the wall where you enter.
So don't walk in there.
Oh, boy.
I'm going to be very honest.
I refuse to see the movie.
So if there's going to be a reference, I can't, all I know is the pirate.
Right.
Because I walk through when they were watching it.
All I saw was the pirate.
I went, no, thank you.
I'm mad that I even saw that.
Now, what was it about the pirate?
Now, what was it about the pirate that turned you off?
Everything.
What is there to like about him?
Like, what are you talking about?
His face is so upsetting.
It looks like drawings that the boys used to do.
So you got to the end, you walked out on the end of the movie and you said, no, thank you.
Oh, is that the end?
Yeah, pretty much.
Yes.
I don't know.
By the time you see him, it's too late.
Oh, really?
Does he kill people?
Well, I don't want to spoil it.
You did not tip your toe.
I'm not going to watch this movie ever, not in my whole life.
I mean, it's a horror movie.
So what do you think of?
Do you think anyone gets killed?
Oh, they do.
Okay, you don't have to talk down to me like that, all right?
Don't shame me for not knowing.
No, it wasn't fun.
You're like, nope, do they think it gets killed?
Okay.
Are you an idiot?
Are you dumb?
I'll take that note.
Oh, thank you.
We did have a retreat.
I was trying to make it fun.
I'm being formed. It was not fun.
No take it.
We had a little retreat where we decided what our goals was.
What our goals was.
Okay.
One of them was that.
Burt wasn't going to correct me every time I say something wrong, but too late for that.
We decided what our goals was.
Got a little retreat.
We went, yo, we went up.
Yeah, we went y'all in return to retreat.
Okay, you know what?
I'm going to need to take this note again.
That we weren't, we weren't going to zero in on every time that happened.
Why don't you join in with us?
We're having fun.
I know.
Do the voice.
Okay, all right.
I was had a really good time.
You're right.
Over to the retreat.
It's delightful.
It's delightful to do that.
You're right.
I was wrong.
So I, I'm talking about my twin boys.
They couldn't get enough of this movie.
And of course, they all have always had cinematic aspirations.
They tried to shoot things in the house.
They wrote Mr. Doubtfire for me as a gender swap.
It didn't work out.
But I'm talking about my twin boys, Matt, and Zip, Zab Zop.
And Zip Zab Zop.
Yeah.
And they, babe, just tell me it's not going to be several rooms, but just one backroom.
Doug, can you please tell us that?
It's just not the back rooms without several.
So then how many are they going to be?
You know what?
He is right now.
And you can't really know how many.
there's going to be.
Okay.
This is already going to start making me.
But do you personally know how many there's going to be?
Well, I kind of have to know.
Yeah.
Because I'm making.
That's what I figured.
Yeah.
At this moment, do I know, no.
Oh, what does that mean?
I also have to tell the twin, wait, so.
Because it's ongoing.
So you're just going to keep on building them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We can't do this.
We can't do this way.
Because you know the twins will, they already pull pranks on us.
They sold a whole pilot to Chick-fil-A streaming service about it.
Yeah.
They like to hide in the walls anyways.
Now they're just going to hide in these.
backrooms and scare me. And Zipsoff's going to be the worst. By the way, yes, I was taking my first
improv class when I was pregnant with them. Oh, is that where it comes from? Triple Z. Yeah, we call them
triple Z for short. Triple Zed. If you're nasty. If you're not. Yeah, we're creating
life-size versions of some of their drawings when they were kids. Oh, which is terrifying.
Weirdly, they drew things very much like that pirate. I'm telling you, they drew faces that were very,
like, uncanny, weird, upsetting. Okay. So it's fair. I'm
mention when Bert was closing his eyes.
And now I'm doing a bit of like a goat hoof or something to just.
You didn't have to reveal that.
I know what you're doing it back to me.
What he's doing is he's mirroring me.
He's marrying me. He's marrying my goat hand.
It looked fun.
It was fun.
Try out.
Was it good?
Yeah.
I enjoyed doing it.
All right, babe.
I don't.
Oh, God.
I'm so very, this is like one of the most upset I've been about a room because this is, this is really, this scares me.
I don't blame you.
This is spooky.
How are you going to make sure that I'm never going to get lost in them?
or caught in them.
Do you have like a turnaround right now, Joan's sign or something?
Like you have to have something.
Like alarm has to go off of them about to go into one.
Maybe a recording that a cardboard cutoff caveman is playing.
You know what?
Let's maybe reclaim the theme song and you say,
good, good, good, good, go back out that back door.
I don't know.
I mean, I had just the hardest time as he did.
Good, good, good, good.
Good, good.
That's definitely how it goes.
Good, good, good.
Good, good.
Is it not good, good, good?
No.
In looking at my back door, that's what you thought he was saying?
Yeah.
Can I blow your mind?
What did you say, please do?
Do, do, which is almost good backwards.
Oh, Doug, you just gave you a chill.
Look at my arms.
Look at his fingers.
I can't.
Oh, your fingers have huge goosebumps on them.
Okay, don't, we don't have to look at my fingers all the time.
Okay.
So just say, Joan, Joan, Joan, don't go out that back door, something like that.
Like a little jingle.
Don't go in that back room.
Now we fixed it.
That's it.
So in the furniture store that, you know, I had last season.
Yes, he has a, he did, because he used to love to go to furniture stores and try out all the lazy boys.
There's like staging.
But I'd always say we had to leave.
You did?
Oh, I didn't.
I did buy all the lazy boys for this lazy boy room.
Of course it's going to lead to a backroom situation.
I guess so.
I guess.
So it's good.
So that's how you enter it through there.
That makes sense.
There is a drawn door on the wall.
Just don't walk through that.
Is that how it is in the movie that you walk?
were drawn door?
Yeah.
What?
That makes no sense.
Well, it's just a part of the wall.
It's so you know,
they put like, yeah.
The more I hear about this movie,
the more angry I get.
Doug, I hate to, I hate to be,
does it matter?
Does it matter?
I thought it was tape.
I thought it was tape.
All right.
Well, you know, I don't care
because I'm never going to see it.
Taped out of office.
All right.
Well, now I got to find my way out of here
and get some tape.
Oh, shit.
Don't you get lost in the backroom
says you're building them.
Babe, you need to keep recording this podcast.
Okay.
I don't care what happened.
You don't care how lost you get.
There's, the annoying thing is I have, you know, all the furniture is kind of halfway in each room.
Yeah.
Judding out of the walls.
Some's in the floor.
Yeah.
I cannot get the TV to work in here.
Aw.
Because the power button's on the other side.
Oh, that's frustrating.
And there's a remote site.
Just want to watch the game.
If you could just get into that room, turn it on and then get back into the room.
This makes me very concerned.
This is not going to end well.
Okay, Bert, I want to talk about you, okay?
Fun activity in the backwoods.
Watch the big game.
I want to talk about you.
So you're, we discussed some wedding plans a little bit.
Yes, yes, yes.
It is.
What was the last thing I told you?
Well, because they're in flux all the time.
So I know that you've decided a venue, but you, we're not going to tell everybody just
now.
We're going to keep these things as secrets a little bit.
That's correct.
It's correct.
Yeah.
And I know that, so I just want everybody to know,
We are working on me and Doug are working on an acoustic version of,
this is Halloween, which I'm going to sing at your wedding.
Absolutely.
It's going to be the procedural march, like when she's going to be the procedural march.
Like when she's being walked down the aisle.
Yeah, the processional.
I like to call that procedural march.
You had the idea to strike her with a sword.
Okay, now that was because I was explaining how it is in Marine weddings.
I don't want to do that.
I don't want to strike it with this.
Oh, okay.
That is a relief.
The Marines have trapped the woman on the butt and they say, welcome to the Marine Corps, ma'am.
I was trying to explain it to Gabby.
And she said, well, I'm sure.
went terribly. I said they draw their swords and they come at you. Oh no. You shouldn't
You told her all. We didn't even, you didn't even need to mention it. We already decided we're not going to do that. Right. Okay. That's a good point. Are you guys going to have a first dance? What, what about the food? Tell me about that. Oh, wow. Well, the first dance of the food will not take place at the same time.
Sure. I didn't mean that. Just in case. Yeah, I think dancing while eating is a bad idea. Yeah, I think so too. We did consider it though. You did. Yeah, we thought what were we had feedbacks like horses?
That's what you thought.
That's what you considered.
For one second.
Were you drunk?
We probably were.
Okay.
Yeah.
You are often lately.
I just want to say that.
A lot of times I check in on you guys at night and you're drunk.
We're having fun.
You know,
because we can get spent lockdown together.
Sure.
You're trying to get that in.
We're trying to make up for last time.
We have locked down nights.
Just for fun.
Just to see what it would have been like if we were together.
You order take out.
You wipe it down.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're wiping out everything.
In a weird way, that's romantic, I guess.
We have a, the TV remote is in a plastic baggie.
We're watching Tiger King.
We're watching Tiger King.
And Ted Lasso?
Yeah.
Tiger King and Ted Lazo.
That's a good combo.
Yeah.
I like to fight each other.
So what about, so what did you decide?
You didn't decide to have horse feed bags.
What are you deciding?
You know what we decided on?
And this, I've never seen this at a wedding.
Okay.
I can't believe I haven't.
Okay.
We're just going to order a bunch of pizzas.
I love that.
Everybody loves pizza.
Everybody loves pizza.
Yes, we'll have gluten-free options.
Of course we will.
Oh, how nice of you.
Yeah, that's great.
Vegetarian and vegan.
I get extra cheese, we will.
Of course.
Make sure there's an extra cheese for Doug.
We're going to try to get every permutation of pizza that we can.
Are you going to do the pineapples and everyone has to complain about it?
Yes.
Everyone has to complain about it.
Everyone has to complain.
When you tap your, you're a nice.
against the water glass, that means everyone starts complaining about pineapple pizza.
But then someone has to very smugly say they love pineapple.
Exactly.
That'll be me and I'll do it proudly.
Sure.
Always loved it.
You know, I've never had it.
Yeah.
So then you can't have an opinion on it.
You should try it.
I don't.
I think I dislike the Canadian bacon more than the pineapple.
I agree.
I agree.
Yeah, you could just get rid of that.
Do you mean the pea meal bacon?
Ew.
That's what they call it.
They don't call it Canadian bacon.
Pea meal.
Of course they don't.
They call it peemial bacon.
Why don't they just call it bacon?
I don't know.
P.E. Meal?
No, not P.
Babe, come on.
I'm trying to learn.
And also they, I think they have regular bacon as well.
What we recognize is bacon.
Great.
Are you going to have bacon at the...
I'm trying to keep...
Topics close.
I'm trying to keep us on time.
You know how we go off on these tangents and then I get worried that we're losing the audience.
Oh, sure.
We're losing daylight.
Sure.
And that.
We started this podcast very late.
tonight. It's 10.30 in the evening. Yes, and I should be drunk already.
This past my drunk time. Oh, no, that's not a saying in your household now.
Yeah, that's terrible. What about R. C? Can we play your wedding?
Rubarb Caravan, play the wedding? We were going to ask about this. We also, I don't. We are still
trying to decide if we want live music or if we want a DJ. Oh, boy. What are the pros and cons of a
DJ? Go. Pros and cons of DJ. You have to meet a DJ. That's a con.
Yeah, you have to do business with us.
Yeah.
You have to have multiple conversations with a DJ.
That's con number one.
Okay.
What's a pro?
A pro is it might be Miss Patricia's Butler from Southern Charm.
Okay, you can't.
I don't watch Southern Char.
I know, and I'm sorry that I do.
And you know this.
We've been through this.
I know.
So what am I supposed to say to that?
It doesn't give it.
I have no context.
I'm just giving you information.
You said that's a good thing you're saying.
That's a potential.
pro. Is this person on Sunday Charm a
DJ? He is a butler who
yearns to be a DJ, an events DJ.
This is the kind of place where people still are
butlers. Yeah. I hate that.
Well, just one person does. Okay.
And it's not, we don't know that for sure that this
woman is alive. She might be a ghost. Okay, great.
If you watch the show. Well, there are a lot of ghosts in the South.
Now, now. I don't remember
if we left everybody. Because bloodshed means
blood paid. Sure. That's right.
So I don't know if we were actually clear on how we left it. It was a really
crazy thing because you had asked
Doug to get the number of Tonil so that he could be asked if he would be your best man,
which was shocking because we all thought you'd ask Doug to be your best man.
And I just want to know if that's been cleared up.
Are you being, because I haven't asked you all summer.
I tried to avoid it.
I believe we did clear it up in the moment.
You're going to be his best man, babe, right?
Tonyel never really understood the question.
Tonyl said we'll see.
Oh, no.
He still saying that?
Well, it's not up to Tonyl.
You need to figure this out.
That's what I tried to tell him.
It's up to me.
That's what I tried to tell Tonyil.
to his face.
Okay.
If he dares show his face.
He might not like that.
Listen, we need to figure it out
because you have to plan
a really good bachelor at party
for Burns.
Basselorette.
Oh.
I'll take one.
Why not?
We can do a bachelor.
I'll wear a penis hat.
I'll wear a sack.
I'll ruin a comedy show.
Yeah, we can get one of those.
You'll finish the night crying.
You're already good at the drinking part.
That's right.
That's right.
Okay, good.
You can get one of those like covered wagons
they have in Nashville where we can dance
in the back. What is that?
What? A covered wagon.
They have those wagons that the Bacheloretts
all dancing. I have never
seen anything that you're talking about.
You mean like a little house
in the prairie wagon? When I'm picturing a covered wagon
I'm picturing a very specific thing.
That you can't dance in. If you could have been
you would injure yourself. No.
They got these kind of party wagons
where in the back.
Party water. They're all dancing. We're getting a little closer. So they're not
covered wagons. Are you talking about a party bus?
I feel like it they're covered.
Okay.
Well, feeling that they're covered does not be that you're right.
That doesn't mean that they're not a modern covered wagon.
What would have a bus?
I think he means bus.
No,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Not a bus.
A limo?
Do you refer to your car as a horseless carriage?
Oh my God.
Yes, he does actually.
Now that I think of that.
Dog, of course you do.
At first I thought I was just making a cute joke, but now I'm realizing that's truly what you think.
It's not a bus, though.
Okay, it's not a bus.
We're going to have to look it up at the road.
Does it have a cloth roof?
I kind of feel like it does.
Are you talking about like a down Broadway in Nashville?
Hang on.
Are you talking about where everyone's like around a cart and they're all biking and they're all drunk and they're all.
No, but that's a related enterprise.
Well, thank you for that.
Thank you for your.
Thank you for that presentation.
Mr.
pedestrian.
Well,
we'll talk it over.
We'll get back to you.
And we'll get back to you.
That would be a good DJ if you talked to you like that.
I mean, maybe.
Listen, DJs, I love you to do.
There's an older lady.
And she's really cool.
She's got her own Instagram and she's like in her 70s.
And she like is in Vegas.
A grandma DJ?
She's amazing.
I have to find her because she's very, very cool.
DJs can be cool.
Let's not start off anything negative this this year.
Let's not do that.
I tell you what.
If we do have a DJ, that DJ will be wearing a helmet.
It should be a lady.
You should get that lady.
We'll get a lady DJ wearing a helmet.
Why the helmet?
It's cooler.
It's cooler.
Because helmets are cool.
When you see a DJ and a helmet, safety's cool.
Safety's cool.
Dead malls.
Is that how you pronounce it?
Did malls?
If you've ever seen him?
I've not seen it.
Marshmallow.
Marshmallow?
What do you consider that?
A helmet or a mask?
I'm picturing M.F. Doom right now and that's a mask.
That's a mask.
I'm talking about full-on helmet.
Bike helmet.
Kaiser?
Doug?
I've given you a few examples right now.
I don't know those specific examples.
You don't know dead mouse?
Oh, it's a mouse.
Yeah, they're in like Vegas all the time.
Mickey Ears.
Yes.
Yes, exactly.
I feel like we've spoken very little about things that actually are of substance.
And I feel like we're definitely almost time to go to a break.
I think you were almost trying to go to break.
I agree with you.
I just want to also want to have death punk.
Oh, God.
Okay.
Those are big time helmets.
Those are big time helmets.
But they're just like motorcycle helmets.
They're not really that elaborate.
All right.
See, this is what I'm talking about.
We need to not.
We need to stop talking about helmets and DJs right now.
They are kind of tron.
Okay.
We need to.
Torreel kind of pronounces it.
Helmet.
I just said.
This is another reason he can't be your best man.
He's his helmet, burnt.
I'll tell him.
I'll tell him.
Oh, no.
Really?
What does he do with helium?
He calls it helium.
He calls it helium.
Right?
Yeah.
How long have we been talking, babe?
And please tell me that time works normally in the back rooms.
27.
See, that's way too long.
Okay.
And most of it was about helmets.
Okay, Joan.
You asked me a question.
I answered it.
It led to helmet talk.
What are we supposed to do?
We're just human.
We're just normal men.
Well, now that's true.
Yeah.
Boy, is that true?
All right.
Well, then we should go to a break.
I'll talk about myself in the third segment.
I mean, they might be wondering what I've been up to.
I would have been happy to talk about that.
You have it.
It's straight.
It's in 27 minutes.
No, I don't want the floor.
I want our guest to have the floor next.
So let's take a break.
Okay, I don't know.
That's open.
All right.
All right.
We're going to take a break.
When we come back, we'll have a guest right here on the neighbor.
Listen.
Hi, Paul.
Nicole, hello.
Thank you for joining me here.
Okay.
Thank you for not being weirded out
because I didn't tell you I was going to be here.
No, it's okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you for joining me,
and I'm not weirded out
even though you didn't tell me you were going to be here.
I'm so glad.
Hey, because here's the thing.
I wanted to just talk to you about these pieces
that are in your closet that you find yourself always reaching to over and over again.
You're such a well-dressed person.
You know what I'm talking about the sweater that somehow always
works with everything.
Yeah, I know that's right.
You have a tie that worked with everything?
Yeah, of course I do.
Of course you do.
Not surprised, this guy.
You know, I think that I have some of those two.
I just feel like I'm always aspiring to add more.
Oh, like you have those.
And you have that bag you carry everywhere.
I do have a pair of jeans just like that.
And that is exactly what Quince has for you as well.
Mm-hmm.
Careful.
You say.
Mm-hmm.
Because Quince makes elevated everyday essentials using premium materials like
Mongolian cashmere, organic cotton, and premium
sketched.
Stretch denim.
Oh, no.
Quince, I'm sorry.
The designs are timeless, thoughtfully crafted,
and made to be worn again and again.
Their 100% Mongolian cashmere sweater started just $50.
That's inexpensive for cashmere.
Giving you the softness and quality you'd expect from a luxury brand.
But, and this is crucial.
Without the luxury price tag.
That's my favorite part.
And as the weather gets colder,
Quinn says everything that you need to round out your wardrobe
from warm, responsibly sourced down jackets and cozy cashmere scarves.
Ooh, a scarf, a cashmere scarf and gloves to beautiful 14K gold jewelry.
Jewelry always keeps me warm.
And it adds the perfect finishing touch.
I love on a cold winter night putting on all my jewelry.
Yes.
It's sitting by the fire.
Oh, it's my favorite.
Now listen, let me give you some personal experience.
Okay.
I have a zip-up casual.
Mier Cardigan.
Oh, jealous.
That was given to me by my sister-in-law.
Oh.
Score.
It's so comfortable.
It's so cozy.
And I love it.
Is it from Quince?
As the weather...
Yes, of course it's from Quince.
I'm just making sure.
Oh, my gosh.
Quince, I would never do that to you.
And it's not just apparel.
Quince brings that same approach to everything they make.

they make well-designed furniture.
They make well-designed pieces for everyday living.

And when Quince asks you where you heard about them, you let them know it was the neighborhood.
Listen.
But in a happy way.
It's the best way to support the show.
Thank you.
Bye.
Bye.
Well, hey there, howdy, and hello?
This is Daniel.
I have a vintage ceramic picture lamp with bull base, measurements and pictures.
Beautiful vintage ceramic picture lamp with a matched scalloped bowl base and warm wood accents.
A unique statement piece with timeless farmhouse cottage or traditional charm.
Works perfectly as a table lamp for a living room, bedroom, or entryway.
Lamp is in good working condition with shade included.
Now, I'll tell you what's not in good working condition.
the pitcher, because you can't fill it with water.
Because I keep doing it.
Dang, Nabit, do I keep on forgetting it is connected to an electrical appliance?
And I just want to keep using it as a water pitcher or a vase.
And dangnavett if I had an electrocuting myself, maybe no less than 15 times.
So my wife told me, get rid of it.
My doctor told me I'm going to die.
If I can't keep remembering that this is just one silly little.
lamp. I don't know. Who the hell
put it in a picture.
But come get it
before I die.
And a hearty welcome
back to the neighborhood.
That's nice. Sorry, it was a genuine
response. I didn't mean to interrupt you. You're just going to
help it. I couldn't help it. Yeah, it is nice.
I like a hearty welcome. A hearty welcome back.
Mm-hmm.
It is time for a guest, Joan. Now, we do this
every single week. Yep. What we
do is we comb the neighbor app, the networking
application, social, the networking, the social networking application for neighborhoods.
Listen, at the end of last season, you made me do it and I could barely get through it.
Remember, it was actually shocking.
I really was.
I enjoyed watching it all over the place.
We look for interesting people in Dignity Falls to talk.
By the way, we live in Dignity Falls.
Did we not mention that?
We really didn't.
Well, I mean, you say Dignity Falls a lot in your introduction.
It's true.
It's true.
So that's where we live.
We live in Dignity Falls.
Yeah.
That's our neighborhood.
And so we look for interesting people in the neighborhood to talk to.
And sometimes we have people send in posts.
If we don't find them ourselves, Mason Powell sent this one in.
Thank you, Mason Powell.
Thank you, Mason Powell.
If you would like to send us one, you can send it to burnt and Joan at gmail.com.
Yep.
So thank you, Mason.
And this post is in the crime and safety section.
And it's a person named Susan posted this.
Susan writes, my daughter was driving to work on Thursday at 9 a.m. on Mimosa Road
when she saw a man and two women kneeling in the grass next to the next to the
diorios, topless.
The women were dressed in white dresses, and the man only had on khaki shorts.
A woman in front of her slammed her brakes on.
Slammed her brakes on.
And ran over to them to offer them a blanket to cover up, presumably not the brakes, but the women.
Right.
Did anyone see this and know what was going on?
She said it was the craziest thing she had ever seen.
Oh, left out an apostrophe, did she?
Okay, so now Mason has sent this post from Susan, who is recounting this story from her daughter.
Yes. This is a lot of, this is a game of telephone, if I've ever heard of her.
Including some woman, not the daughter, who slammed on her briefs.
Yes, there's a lot happening in this.
There's a lot happening.
So here to tell us more is someone from this story.
Which one?
Well, we're going to find out right now.
There was a lot. There was a lot going on.
There's a lot going on. Can we have your name?
What's your name, dear?
Alice Gorge.
Alice Gorge. Hortch. Hortch. Hortch.
What's a fun name?
Alice Hortch.
Corch.
Corch.
Corch.
Corch.
I'm so sorry.
I'm saying it wrong.
Alice.
That's fine.
It's fine.
If you can hold the microphone a little close to your mouth.
Yeah, we just want to hear you, dear.
Well, okay.
I'm sorry.
I thought I was really loud.
Oh, no.
We like loud.
All right.
We like loud.
Oh, as long as you do, because nobody likes to hear me all that time.
Oh, I don't like that.
That can't be true.
You seem so nice and sweet.
And who are you in the, in relation to this story?
Oh, I'm the one of the women that was.
Oh.
What happened?
No, no, nothing's wrong.
Nothing yet.
I'm just kind of excited.
I was kind of hoping that you were one of the women because that's who I had the most questions for.
I know, I know.
I was, I was naked.
Okay, so you were.
So it said that your top list.
But also wearing a dress.
Right, the one is that were.
How did you?
Well, I didn't.
I didn't.
I just, you, I was so hot.
Oh.
And so I had to take it off just, but I just did it in my, my, the upper part.
Okay.
The last part, I had to go pee.
Oh.
So bad.
I did a little bit of that.
Oh, just a little bit of it.
Just a little bit.
Just a little bit. Just enough.
Just enough to take the edge off.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And there was so much going on.
It does.
Listen, there is a lot going on here.
But can you, first of all, can you tell me what the names of the man and the woman that you were with were and how you knew them?
Okay.
Let's see if I can remember.
The man and the khakis.
Okay.
The khakis.
That's Ross.
Oh, okay.
Ross.
Okay.
Ross is a lovely, lovely man.
Oh, that's nice to hear.
He can't see.
Oh, I see.
Like straight up blind or just?
No, he's not very, no, he's just, he's not very, no, he's not very, no, he's just, he's not blind.
I mean, we have to, we have to constantly lay a.
The doctor said, I'm sorry, you are.
Yeah.
S-U-B.
Yeah.
So that's.
Dead-out blind.
You're dead-ass blind, sir.
No count.
Oh, is it more of just like, maybe like a, like a, like a, I think it's just, I think he just, you know what he does.
He does more like this.
Oh, squintz.
Oh, wait.
So for the listeners, what he, when she did,
she closed her eyes really hard, yeah, and opens him wide.
And sometimes we have fun with it and sometimes we don't.
Okay.
How do you have fun with it?
What's one of the ways you have fun with it?
Well, because a couple times he was doing this,
and then all of a sudden I ran around.
Oh, okay.
Almost like it's a strobe light or something.
Where you could do red light green light, you know?
Oh, fun.
Like from Squid Game.
Are you three, and sorry, the name of the other lady?
Carol?
Carol?
Okay, great.
And are you three in, like, may I say, if this is not too personal, a relationship or a romantic relationship?
I mean, there's a smile.
Faraway smile.
Is it just because I took my top off?
That is one of you throwing that in there.
And Carol did as well.
Did she not?
Were you both topless?
Oh, yeah, that's a good question.
Yes, of course.
Did I'm sorry, did I not say that?
You did it?
But it's okay.
You weren't supposed to.
We're just asking questions.
We've done nothing wrong.
You've done nothing wrong.
You just said, oh, we have fun with it with the eyes as if the three of you spend a lot of time together.
And I wondered, is that in a romantic relationship?
Sometimes.
Sometimes it is.
See, the nice thing is there's a couple of us.
So if I don't want to do it, someone else will do it.
Someone else will do it.
Then I will do it.
So we're talking strictly about the sex.
Did you want to hear something else?
No, no, no.
No, again, there's literally, there's no wrong answers here.
We're just thinking of, I have a lot of questions.
I mean, right now, I can't stop thinking about how the fact that you were doing this next to DiOrios,
which is, of course, designer pasta outlet that we have here.
That's right.
And it's so good.
It's so good.
It's designer pasta.
You can wear it and eat it.
Yes.
Predamage.
Yes.
Pretta porte and preto manje.
That's right.
It's both.
You guys are fun.
Oh, good.
I'm so glad.
Well, you seem very fun, and it seems like you three have a lot of fun.
So can I ask, was it because you were going to DiOrios or you had been to DeOrios?
Why were you choosing this very public place to be, I don't know, what was your plan that day?
How about that?
I am not a planner.
Oh, okay.
So I pretty much go with whatever that says, you know, do you want to do this?
Do you want to do that?
Oh, you go with what everybody says.
Wow.
Wow.
You listen to Ross and Carol.
Yeah.
You listen to them.
Okay, they decide what would you do?
You know, it's easier because I don't care what I do.
That's nice.
I mean, you know, I can, if they said to me, why don't you go into the water and not come back for a month, I would do it.
Wait, whoa.
What?
I would say something?
I mean, you've got a huge smile on your face, but it doesn't match up with what you just said, which sounds very dark to me.
I will say there have been many times, and Doug will get you.
We heard the, there be.
There's Doug's noise.
he wants to speak.
That's how he lets us know.
I do think sometimes how freeing it would be
to just let somebody else make all my decisions.
Right?
Yes.
I get it.
Is that, I mean, is that a,
do you find that a satisfying way to live?
Well, I have a lot of other things too,
but this one, it's just easier.
That would be, I'm sorry, what?
I don't know what that means.
I don't know what you're talking.
You mean you have other things that you also like.
I do, but I think for this particular,
thing, that is my thing.
I think that if they
want to do something, I don't care.
Right. But what, now they wouldn't
do you mean walking into the water obviously
not being in peril, not being in danger?
Because they do expect you...
I would have died. They do expect you to
come back after a month. I would hope so.
You know, you know what I say that? That's
not a really thing. Oh, it's not a
really thing. Okay, I was hoping it wasn't.
Yeah. How long have the three of you been
you know, hanging out?
I think
Um, a, uh, since, um, January.
Oh, like she really knows.
Since January.
Oh, just January.
Okay.
Of this year.
Um, I think so.
Yeah.
Right.
Okay.
Yeah.
And how did you all meet?
Oh, that's such a good question.
I was going to ask it.
Dang it.
You know.
Great question, Joan.
You know.
Okay.
I need to talk.
Oh, I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
Give me your name again.
Helen.
Helen.
Helen.
Helen.
Helen.
Right.
Um.
Oh.
You know, it's whatever you
want me to be.
Corch.
I do remember Corch.
Your last name is Corch.
We know that.
We spent so much time on the last name that I forgot the first name.
We really locked that in.
Should we call you Madam Corch?
Would that make things that?
Oh, that tickled her.
Truly did.
Madam Corch, when did, how did you all meet?
Where?
Why?
No, don't burden her with so many of the questions.
Doug, was that what you were going to say before?
That's just adding.
Okay.
Do you have a drink that I could?
Yes, and I'm so sorry.
If you are hearing this voice that you cannot see,
It is my husband, Doug.
He's in a different room.
That's why you're just hearing him and not seeing him.
I didn't want you to be confused.
Oh, does she think I was a drink?
Oh, no, babe.
No, she's also asking for a drink.
Just a drink.
Just some, you know, water or something different.
Of course. I'll give you some water.
Or something, anything else that you can keep me going.
Alabama sliver?
Oh, to keep you going.
You need some caffeine?
I do.
Oh, great.
Okay.
Oh, my goodness.
You are parched.
I'm very parched.
You're parched and sleepy.
All right.
There you go.
There's a guy coke.
Oh, thank you.
Very good.
Oh, she's so adorable.
Took it down in one gulp.
That was an entire cup, a can of Coke.
That's what happens.
Yeah.
It was impressive.
I know.
So just where, just where did you meet?
We met, you know, it's so, been so long ago.
Yeah, January.
January.
I would say.
Well, they've been together since January.
Yeah.
Yes.
So that's true.
I would say, I think it was at a party.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
and it was a party.
Everybody's, no one had clothes up.
Oh, a naked party.
Okay, a naked party.
Or I should say a nude party
because I'm assuming people
this is what they wanted.
Yes.
I didn't do.
I mean, I didn't say let's do it.
They just had done it.
Like when you arrived at people
just start disrobing or were they already
like naked when you got there.
I've never been to one of these.
Oh, right.
You show up with your bottle of yellow tail and then oops.
Oh.
Yellowtail.
Burton, you weren't killing her.
No.
It's just, you know, you go where other people go.
That's because, you know, I had a horrible, horrible time with family.
Oh, no.
I'm so sorry.
What happened?
I don't know.
That's disturbing.
You just know that it was horrible?
It was, you know, it was one of those things.
I just, I woke up one morning and they weren't there.
Oh, God.
There wasn't nothing to show me where the things are.
Oh, well, how old were you?
Were you a child?
I think it was four.
Now that is, this is very upsetting.
That's tough.
You grew up here in Dignity Falls?
Where?
Here in Dignity Falls?
Did you grow up here?
I think so.
You think so.
That's where I am now.
It is where you are now.
It is where you are now.
Where I am, yeah.
So wait, how did you survive as a four-year-old with no family?
Great question, Joan.
Thank you, please.
A necessary question, I think.
Did anyone come to help you?
Oh, I don't want her to be.
This should have been an, I wish it had been an immediate.
I know, these are all tough questions.
I don't, I like my life.
Don't get on top of me.
She's starting, she put her hands around my throat.
We are, we are, okay.
Easy, easy, easy, mad of course.
Meta course.
I think you drank that caffeine way too quickly
because you're very strong.
She's so tiny, she's petite and adorable.
I know I have wealth.
Just coming back to flesh color.
I know that's not the kind of life
that you would like to live.
but I think it's good for me.
No, we're on your side.
We're on your side.
We just, you can, can you appreciate if I hear about a four-year-old,
I mean, I am a mother of three kids.
And so my mom had those on sometimes.
I thought you only had two.
I have another daughter named Julyopee, and yes, you're right.
I don't talk about her nearly as much.
I should.
You're a boy, mom.
Matt and Zips up.
I'm a boy, mom.
Matt and Zips up, they get most of the attention.
I'm sorry, who?
I just call him Zipsop for short sometimes.
Zips Zip Zop.
But a mom calls her.
Sometimes I have to skip the zap.
Or triple Z.
Oh, you know Zipzo.
She's scatting.
She's never part of it.
Chicape.
A chica pei.
Come on.
Come on.
Oh.
Tay in the wind.
See, this is where I'm thinking maybe this is like a language that she learned when she
was on her own when she was four.
Four.
Because, yes.
And it was also January.
Oh, no.
So it was cold.
Things happened to you in January.
January is a very significant month for you.
It really is.
So how long before you were, you, how long were you on your own?
Yeah.
That's a good question.
Thank you, Trump.
Welcome.
I mean, I said yours was great.
Okay, wait, let's let her.
She's answer.
She's thinking about it.
I think it was April.
Okay.
Well, I mean, January and April.
I'm hoping there was just a few months.
I'm hoping so.
The same year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What's the first thing you remember of that time?
What can you remember?
Like, do you remember anyone coming into your life?
Um, well, I mean, early on because, you know, I, I, my, I came out.
out of the womb.
Oh, wow.
Oh, she's going all the way back.
Okay, you remember that?
Is that what you wanted?
No, no.
I didn't want anything.
I just wanted to know that at some point
you weren't alone as a child.
Yes, do you have memories of you?
Because you remember your family being gone.
Do you remember them being there?
Okay.
Okay.
Oh, I feel bad sometimes we get too personal.
I know.
Does you think that's a personal question?
Yes, I think I do.
That was a strong yes.
She got there.
Okay, good.
And you met it.
Okay.
So, you know, I feel bad.
talking too much about the childhood stuff.
And also she said it was a good life for her,
so I don't want to make her feel bad.
Well, here's the thing, Madam Corch.
We do try to help you.
We do try to help our guests on the show
if they have some sort of problem.
Oh, I have a lot of problems.
Okay.
Did you want to list some of them?
I think I just did.
Well, you definitely have.
No, we're in the problem zone for sure.
We don't need any more problems, I guess.
So maybe asking the background is a way that we can help you to fully solve,
you know, these problems.
So do you remember, let's say,
let's say your family is a sticker on the back of a car.
And how many stick figures do we see?
Oh, like those little things of like,
it's little stick figures of family.
And if you have two girls,
it's two girls.
And if you have a dog,
there's a dog.
Okay.
Just making sure everybody at listening,
understand.
You can't put to,
if you don't have two girls on there,
you can't put that on there because that's stolen valor.
Yes, it is.
I don't drive.
Oh,
you don't.
Okay.
But aside from that,
how many things are.
I can walk.
Good.
That's great.
So proud.
That's nice to see.
Very good.
Right now, let's just zip to the present for a minute.
Right now, do you live alone?
Yes.
Okay.
Do Carol and, see, now I can't remember his name.
Ross.
Do Carol and Ross live nearby?
No.
Oh, okay.
But how often during a week?
Oh, yep.
He has that.
He now has two does in the line.
So when we get to the two does?
That wasn't a beacon.
I just laughed.
Your practice.
Do you just laugh at your throat?
Do you just laugh at your throat?
thought was, babe, this is, now we've stopped.
This is a good time to get what your thought was.
You don't remember?
I think I related to her just going where people tell her to go.
Oh, yeah.
Doug is my husband is kind of like that.
There are leaders and there are followers.
You know what I mean?
Absolutely.
I don't like it.
Put that way.
Yeah, as long as I'm still alive.
That is a good.
That's what I say about my twin boys.
I just glad they're alive.
How often each week would you say you hang out with Carol and Ross?
Oh, there's like a questionnaire now.
No, I'm just trying.
On average.
Here's the thing.
I want to know how often she's with people.
Okay?
Because they want her, right.
You know, it just depends if they come over and we can play games or they might, just a moment, please.
Oh, I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry, Madam Courts.
You're right.
That was totally interaction.
And so then they come in and then we talk about, they talk about what they want to do.
What are we going to go?
And either I go with them or they can go by themselves or I love what.
Watching TV.
So now I do want to know what your shows are.
But first let's get into, do you ever go off with one of them by yourself?
Yes.
Is it just sometimes just you and Carol, sometimes just you and Ross?
Yes.
Okay.
So all the permutations are on the table.
Yes.
Yes.
Okay.
Do you have someone you like more than the other?
Ross.
Okay.
What gives him the edge over Carol?
She's going to do this.
Back in the mind.
He makes me laugh.
Oh, that's great.
I'm talking.
I'm so sorry.
You really should have known.
I apologize.
That's on me.
Okay, what was the question?
It was, it was, you said he makes me laugh, which I think is so great.
Exactly.
Yeah, exactly.
That's everything.
Yeah.
I mean, if you can't laugh, then you're going to cry.
Boy, that is so true.
That's deep as.
That is, well, that is dropping some wisdom right there.
Yeah.
And then can we.
Are you too married?
Oh, we are not.
Oh, we get that a lot.
Okay.
Joan is married to the voice you can't see.
That's that book that you just heard.
That's my husband.
I'm here.
Is something wrong with him?
We get that a lot too.
No, he's fine.
He's fine.
He's normal.
I'm great.
I've been laughing.
I'm not crying.
No, Doug is always.
He's rarely crying.
It's true.
It's true.
But you.
are right. I never even thought about that.
You could laugh cry, though.
In terms of TV shows, is it then...
People are talking.
I know.
You can eat cry like in science.
Guys, we're talking a lot and I think just one of us should talk at a time.
I think that's a great idea.
Okay.
I'm going to talk right now.
I'm going to zip it.
Great.
Are you going to stop it?
That's your child.
You're right.
It is my child.
You've retained that information.
I see.
She's aggressively laughing.
Sometimes I worry that means that you, she's trying not to call.
I was off putting. Can I ask one thing?
Wait, but I haven't talked yet.
Okay.
Okay.
I know that you say laughter's everything.
Are the TV shows you watch comedies?
Great question, Joe.
Oh, God, yes.
They are.
Can you name it, like, let us know what you like to watch,
what your favorite comedies are?
I would have to say,
don't pass by.
Oh, don't pass by.
I haven't watched that in forever.
It is on our local dignity.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes, yes, yes.
Dancing. Dancing.
Oh, and dancing, dancing.
Okay, so you mostly just watch Digny Falls Cable Access.
Yes, exactly.
Yeah.
Is that okay?
Don't pass by is the prank show where people are walking by a cemetery and people are buried underneath and they pop up and they surprise you.
And you don't even win money or anything.
No, and it's literally the same thing every single time.
Yes.
Somebody walks past the cemetery.
A freshly dug grave is displaced and somebody with corpse makeup.
says don't pass by
It's really
It's a small town
It's crazy that people still haven't caught on
It's a 90 minute show
Yeah
That's all that happens to it
That's all that happens over and over and over again
And it's been running for I want to say 35 years
Yes
Now let me ask Madam Courch is does that make you laugh
That show
Okay okay good
Yes
Honestly and I know that's hard to believe
If you haven't seen it
It is really funny
I mean they react people's reactions
You can't believe that you're still laughing at it
But it, every time.
Oh my gosh.
Every time.
It goes straight into dancing, dancing.
Which is a competition show.
Dancing, dancing, yes.
The last corpse pops up and says, and now dancing dancing.
Yes.
And then it goes right into, like the camera moves over from the cemetery to the set of dancing.
Yes.
Very good.
Well, they do.
The corpse has like a split screen with the, it's like reporters.
And it goes right into dancing with the host, Cobble Pruitt, who has been doing it all 35 years.
Yes.
And.
He dances the whole time.
host. He dances the whole time he hosts. And he's
exhausted. Yeah, I mean, it's a talk show, but
you have to dance the entire time. He's out of breath.
I think what, what really... There's no desk,
there's no couches. Everyone just
you have to keep dancing. What really hurts
his hosting is I think he's clearly been
dancing before the show has started, so he's already
out of breath. He's tired, it's hard.
It's tired, it is hard. Yeah.
Very hard. He's had 15
heart attacks. You know, but
he's still there. He's still there. He's still there. He's still there.
He sure is. Yeah. He started hosting when he was five.
That's right.
He was a wonderkin.
That's right.
He was a wonder kid.
Everyone was like,
we got to get this kid on TV.
He's dancing.
What's wild is when he started,
of course,
he's five years old.
It's adorable.
It was adorable.
And it was great for a while.
Then there was a while
when he was like 30,
where you're like,
who wants to see this?
No.
And then he went through that divorce
on air.
That was awful.
Yeah.
His wife danced over to him
and said, it's over.
Yeah.
It wasn't, it didn't end very well.
A judge danced in.
He was caught dancing,
having dance sex.
Do you dance?
Do you dance?
Oh, you know what?
Man of course, that is the one thing.
I'm in the performing arts,
but that is the one thing I can't really do.
It's like if you dance or sing or play an instrument or sometimes I'll just call it the performing arts.
But I like to actually sing.
I'm sorry.
Have you not heard the phrase before?
The performing arts.
There was no one around to teach you or any of these things.
I kind of think it is.
It's been a while.
I feel like it's been long enough to learn at least by context clues what the performing arts are.
Those, yeah, I should.
You're right.
No, no, honey.
You shouldn't do any or do
or do anything.
I think you are brilliant and wonderful.
And we just are, you're so delightful.
We just worry about you.
There's another thing that you said you wouldn't do.
You're right, John, we are going to get a jar.
There's a lot of time.
You're talking.
A dollar in the jar is a lot.
You're right.
You are right.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
I apologize.
There's a lot of things we're trying to do to better ourselves as we interview
people.
So sorry.
Is that what you're going to do here?
We're trying.
We're working through it.
But it's happening in real time.
I'm so sorry about it, of course.
We're really,
you're really kind of the guinea pig in this sense
as we're trying out some new policies.
Oh.
Am I doing okay?
You're doing perfect.
We are the ones who are just not,
we don't have our,
it's been a minute since we've done this.
Yes,
it's the first episode of the new season.
Yeah.
And we do apologize.
This is so different from the way the show usually is.
It really is.
It's usually a lot more professional.
Yeah.
We just want to talk to you.
So did we find out how you met Rosson and Carol?
They met at a party, a naked party.
A naked party.
naked party. And this was this your first nude party? Yes. Okay. And what were you? And was it your last?
Obviously not.
Were you nervous at first when you got there? Uh, no. I wasn't. I was I felt really good and I wanted to do it.
I wanted to be somewhere and be with somebody and sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't.
Wow. That's very courageous. Now, if it were me, at first I'd be afraid. I'd be petrified.
What were your baby, a friend?
Why would you be, you know, well scared?
I think I could never live without someone by my side.
Yeah.
That's what I would think.
When you went to a nude party, you think that?
I think I'd be afraid that I'd make other people sad about their bodies because I'm very
proud of my body and I have a very good body.
Bert, I've never heard you.
Well, we never talked about it.
We never really talked about it.
But I do have a great body.
You do.
You've got very strong calves.
I can't see you.
But, really?
Oh, no, do you have the same kind of issue that Ross does?
No, I just can't see you.
Well, that's terrible right here.
How many fingers am I holding up?
Yeah, no, no, he's not Doug.
Doug is the one who you can't see.
I know it's so confusing.
I'm so sorry.
It's Doug.
But don't you think that Bert has a great body?
Yes.
Thank you very much.
Yes.
Could he come to a naked party?
Yes.
You don't think you'll bump people out?
Oh, I think it will.
Because he'll be like, I wish I had calves like him.
Is she decent right now?
That's all I was going to ask.
It's a weird way to say it.
Do you mean, is she clothed?
Is that what you're asking, Doug?
Yeah, that's a weird question, babe.
Oh, Doug.
Am I under?
No, that wasn't, that was, I apologize for that.
Oh, my grief, Doug.
Why is that bad?
Oh, Doug, that was a real.
A lot of talking.
You're right, you're right.
You are more than decent.
And I'm not even going to honor that with an answer,
Doug.
I should be ashamed.
So, okay, so when I work here?
What?
No, no, this is a home.
I don't know.
I mean, I've always been looking for an assistant.
Do you, do you not, do you have a job right now?
Yes, I do.
Oh, what do you do for living?
I pick up things.
Anything.
Okay, like trash, like you're a janitor or?
Well, when something's.
Are you a mover?
Yes.
Oh, really?
Oh, my gosh.
Do you have like a moving business?
Yes.
That's amazing.
Do you run topless movers?
Yes.
Oh, now I do here.
You guys have the greatest Yelp reviews in the world.
Yes. People love it.
I mean, first is...
So that explains what you are...
You're like cut.
Your biceps are insane.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's amazing.
Well, no wonder you love being naked.
Geez, Louise.
And you have that, the back brace that you're wearing, the lifting belt is absolutely gorgeous.
I didn't realize what it was at first.
Well, yeah, because it's all bedazzled.
I thought it was a cool accessory.
Yeah.
But it's also practical.
I saw it.
I saw it somewhere on the street and I picked it up.
And I didn't know what it was at first.
and somebody came in and said, why do you have that?
And I said, I don't know.
I just picked it up.
And then they said, well, what do you want me to do with it?
And I said, can you put it on me?
I love that that was your instinct.
That's fun.
That's so adventurous.
Just put it on me.
And so then how does it work?
Do you, so you're literally topless when you're moving.
But, boy, moving can be very dangerous.
There can be sharp things.
How do you protect your breasts?
I mean, just play out there.
How is that okay of a question?
I'm a woman, Doug.
That's how it's okay.
Ooh, Doug, you got schooled.
Only Madam Corch and I know what it is to have to get them checked every year and getting smashed and panicked.
And you guys don't know what we're talking about.
I believe Alice Cooper said only women bleed.
All right.
So how do you keep them protected?
What?
When you're moving, your boobs.
Oh, I just, they're not big.
Okay.
Okay.
That's helpful, I guess.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I guess. Yeah, so I just let it go.
Good for you. Honestly, good for you.
High five to that.
Thank you.
I'm sure the fernie pads probably help.
Oh, that's right. A fernie pad is, remind me what that is?
It's a furniture pad.
Yeah, sure.
You put it on furniture.
That's fun.
Yeah.
Do you have a bunch of employees or is it just you?
No, it's just whatever when they want me.
Mm-hmm.
Oh, I mean, when you're asked to move a house, do you come with extra help or is it just you moving?
Oh, yes.
No, no, there's people.
Oh, really?
There's people. There's people. Yes. Okay, good. And sometimes if I hurt myself, I'll just sit there. Oh, dear. I don't blame you. Yeah. Seriously. Yeah. Do you like, that's all you can do? Do you find that you have a lot of people applying to be topless movers, the people who also just enjoy letting it all hang out? Oh, yes. That's great. That's kind of fun. Am I correct in assuming that some of them are just absolute shit movers. They just want to be topless? I guess that's possible. You know, I don't think so, but I, but maybe you're right. No, I think that was just, I mean, I can, I see what. I see.
what you're thinking.
You see what you're thinking.
But what do Ross and Carol do?
Can you tell me that?
What do they do?
I just wonder what they do for a living.
Yes.
Well, if it's not too much to ask.
Well, herein hangs a tail.
Well, this is what happened to them.
Oh, now she's getting quiet.
Yeah.
What happened to them?
What happened to them?
What did they do for a living?
Well, this is what happened to them.
They realized that it wasn't going anywhere for the
two of them. Oh, like work-wise? As a relationship.
Everything. Oh, everything. Everything. Okay. Everything. Okay. And, um, I think that they just parted their ways.
Right. Oh, okay. Like with who they were working with? Yes. Okay. So they are unemployed at the moment?
Yes. Oh, no. Wait. Madam Gorge, do you support Ross and Carol financially?
No. Oh. No. Well, then how do they make a living?
Well, hold on. Okay. Oh, no.
Oh, see, there is really a story here.
So a tearful.
Oh, my gosh.
And she doesn't like to be crying.
She wants to be laughing.
She wants to be laughing instead of crying.
So what was I saying?
Well, you had said what I said, how do they support themselves by not having jobs?
You know, I just, I don't talk to them anymore.
Well, wait a minute.
No.
Wait, was this incident by Dioreos the last time you've seen them and been with them?
Yes, I, yes.
Well, then what did, what happened?
What happened on that day that made you guys split up?
I didn't want to do it.
I'm telling you their truth.
I didn't want to do it.
And then they wanted me to do it.
And then I didn't want to do it.
And then when I did it, then it was okay.
And then everything just went crazy.
Oh, no.
Okay.
So you didn't want to get topless in front of Dioreo.
She said she was hot.
And so she took her top.
She might be talking about peeing.
Babe, she's not talking about peeing.
Okay.
You know what?
Okay.
Did I do so?
Were you?
Why?
Madam Courch, were you talking about peeing?
Yes.
Okay.
Babe, I apologize.
Broken clock.
I totally apologize.
I deserve that.
Yeah.
That was a win.
I'll give that to you.
I'll give that to you.
You were peeing.
Just a little bit and they were gone.
Oh, they were gone.
They went away.
Yes.
What happened when the woman who slammed on,
who slammed her brakes on?
Yeah, it says here that a woman slammed her brakes on
and jumped out of the car and said, what are you doing?
And then covered you with a blanket or something?
Yeah.
She like threw a blanket at you.
Yes.
Well, she was embarrassed.
Okay.
And she did.
care to have that day happening and so it happened.
And then I just, I ran.
Sure.
You did.
I ran and I just kept running.
And Ross and Carol didn't follow you?
No.
And when you're saying I didn't want to do it, when you're saying I didn't want to do it,
Ross and Carol, it sounds like they were making you do something.
What was it that day?
What did you not want to do?
I wanted to have a good day, a good time.
I wanted to drink some water.
Great, that's fun.
It sounds like a great thing.
It's a good day.
I know.
And, you know, it's all so different.
It just doesn't always go the way you think.
Right.
So were they, they didn't want to have fun or drink water?
What were they being mean?
What did they ask you to do?
They said that I was nothing.
And that I should leave and I said no.
And then I took out a pen.
A pen.
A pen.
And I was going to try to hit one.
With a pen.
A writing instrument?
Okay.
Okay.
How does that go?
You're going to try to hit one of them with a pen.
And then what happened?
And then it, I went like this.
Okay.
Can you see me?
Striking.
It's like she's sort of like doing one of those yo-yo.
with the paper where you go and like all the
yo-yo's with the paper.
I don't know what that is.
I know what you mean now.
But she also,
it sounds like casting holy water.
Yes, that's perfect.
The power of Christ compels you.
Yes.
So your power of Christ compels you.
Yes.
Yes.
Okay.
So power of Christ compels you with the pen and what happened?
Did you strike one of them?
I thought I did.
I thought I did.
and I kept doing it and they were diving around me.
Like trying to dodge it.
Get away. Get away. Get away. Go away.
And so then they left and then...
Is that when the lady threw the blanket on you?
Yes.
Oh, my gosh. Oh, oh, yeah. Right.
She did offer the blank.
She offered the blanket. I keep on saying through it.
But did it seem like a throw to you?
Did it seem like she threw it at you?
Yes. Perhaps Susan is being generous in her retelling of her daughter's star.
That's what I think.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah, she feels like it was flung at her.
Like, you know, she said that she didn't want to see that.
That's rude.
Yeah, it's awful.
It was so many things.
So was this the first time that you had a bad experience with Ross and Carol?
Or was this like the last straw?
Has this happened before?
The last straw.
Okay.
The last straw.
This was, yeah, it was, yeah.
You know, sometimes you don't realize how much you love someone until it's right.
Until it's right there.
Yep.
I hear you.
That is true.
That is true.
And you know what?
Sometimes the love almost becomes, it's actually like mixed in with hate, right?
Yes.
Yes.
So now you're realizing, oh, love is not, this is not necessarily a good emotion.
Yes.
Yes.
I hear you.
Yes.
It's like that song about how.
Which one?
The one that's playing right now.
That Zip Zab's off phone.
And I don't know where he is.
He's probably in the back room.
It's very jaunty.
I really love it.
Can you tell Zipsups up to come get his phone, please, babe?
I love a steel drum.
Come in.
Oh, he has even a shorter nickname.
Yeah, he makes a buzz sound of the three Zs.
So here, the thing is, Madam Korsh, this, the story that you're telling us, it started
out seemingly very fun.
Like you have a great time with these people.
And now the more we talk about it, I feel like you've been living in a situation that
has been so terrible for you and you've tried to put a brave face on it.
Yeah. And you know what? This is why we do this podcast. So people like you can come on and sort of
defend themselves and say this is what's going on. Someone decided to say it was the craziest thing
she'd ever seen in her life or something. Susan and her nosy daughter. No kidding. You know,
instead of realizing that that was someone who needed help, that was someone in a bad relationship,
you know, and I'm- Who was having a great time, but then almost immediately not having a great time.
He just wanted to drink water. And it's like, who's going to stop you from doing that? You are so
delightful. You're adorable.
You're so strong. I'm very strong.
You are very strong. I felt it when she gripped my throat.
Is that okay to sit?
What? Wait, what is it? You have great tips.
Okay. I'm not sure that's okay. Madame Gortch, is it okay?
Well, you're topless. Is that, is that not okay?
is that. She has, she has. She has since I am. I'm really hot. It is really hot.
I know. I'm so sorry. I should have known.
You've also been baking pies all day. Yes, I've been making pies a lot because I am a
realtor and I'm switching from chocolate to cookies for open
houses to pies.
Also, what kind of pies?
Also, I'm trying to get the part of Mrs.
Loven and Sweeney Todd because they're doing it this year at the
Dingy Falls Playhouse.
And it might be the one role I have to audition for.
And they're making actual pies on stage.
I have to have a little bit of pork in all these pies just to make it seem like it's human
flesh.
Pork pie.
Wow, that's a lot.
It's a chocolate chip and pork pie.
What is it, the durian, which also smells like human flesh.
We're using, I'm making durian pies.
I just thought that it stinks.
I didn't realize it was supposed to.
stink like human flesh.
So sorry, I've been
baking a lot of pies and I'm sorry it's so hot
and humid. It smells too.
Smells like good or bad? No, it's good.
It is? Okay. Well, you're welcome to have a slice
after we're done here. Okay.
But, uh, okay, so good.
So, you know, like, we're body positive.
You have such a great, you have such a great attitude.
I just want to find someone who's going to take care of you.
You run a smashing business.
You're doing great. Maybe you can talk to your
husband.
Babe, do you know any single men who is wrong for me to ask what what would you like in a partner?
Tell him what you're like, Madam Courts, I'm so sorry.
And hold that thought.
Okay.
It's like the guy we should be asking for single men.
He does know a lot of single men.
I know a lot of people.
I know he does.
But I know everyone.
No, it's not that you don't know them.
That is true.
It's more about that what he just said.
I know everyone.
Okay.
Let's just, do you want to share with him?
What?
Balloon wine, not balloon.
Not balloon.
No, not balloon linemen.
No, not balloon.
Do not send her to balloon winemine.
So what are you looking at right?
He could use a companion.
What's your dream mate?
What's your ideal?
Yeah.
What are the qualities you'd like in a person?
I would say someone that likes water.
Oh, for sure.
Number one.
To drink?
Okay, great.
That's a good clarification.
For it to drink.
Yeah.
And then, and also,
you know,
keep on, guys, there's too much noise.
Okay.
I didn't do anything at a time.
We're focusing on, there was laughter.
We're focusing on Madam Gorge.
Okay.
So somebody who likes,
water.
Something that likes water for to drink.
And to drink.
And someone that will let me do and be who I am.
Yes.
But make sure that if I take my top off,
that it doesn't stay there.
You mean that it doesn't stay off or that the top doesn't stay where you dropped it and
you can't find your top.
Oh, great question, Joan.
I can imagine.
If you like to be topless spontaneously, you might later be like, oh, no, where's my top?
I should have noted.
Has that happened to you a lot?
Yes.
Oh, dear.
Yes.
you would probably have a lot of bottoms at home but no tops yes
that's a big complaint in the dignity falls
queer scene as well
yes it is yes it is well um that makes sense
so someone to kind of look after you and say oh babe don't forget your top
please yes i love that i like that too that's really nice
so um i don't know if that's enough to go on Doug but is that all you need
I think so likes to drink water
and we'll notice if you drop something
Honestly, what more do you need?
Really?
That's a partner.
You know what I mean?
You're all good people.
You are all good people.
Are you saying that to us?
Yes.
Oh, okay, good.
I'm glad to you think that because I feel bad
that we've been talking a lot.
Would you feel bad if you took off your top?
Oh, are you asking me to take up my top?
All of you.
I don't know if we can cross that bridge, John.
I don't know.
But first of all, I'm the only one who really has to consider it.
Really?
I beg your partner.
You love your body.
I do, but not everybody else does.
Are you, because they're jealous?
I'm not going to be jealous.
I've seen you naked.
But when did you see me naked?
Joan.
I've never,
Matt and we're just getting a kick out of this.
I have never talked about this.
I have never talked about this, but I
accidentally saw you naked.
It was the time that we had the pool party for July
P's 12th birthday.
And you came with,
you didn't have a,
swimsuit. That's right. And Doug said, oh, I've got plenty of swimming costume because that's when
he was busy calling it a swimming costume because he found out British people call it a swimming costume.
And he was very obnoxious about it. He said, don't worry. We've got to dogs for you.
That's right. And he sent you to the bathroom that has two doors. And it's next to the Hall of
Mirrors that we, Bill was one of the rooms he worked on. And you opened the door. I was standing
in the Hall of Mirrors because I was checking out how my butt looked in my suit because I was
worried. Is a Hall of Mirrors the best place to do that?
I feel like it would make you going insane.
No, they're all bent.
No, I can get all the angles.
I need all the angles.
I need all of them.
Okay.
And I was looking, you open the door.
You open the door.
The other door was open.
You didn't know it.
And I saw everything.
Wow.
I didn't see you at all.
I know.
Well, because it's a...
Because of the hall of mirrors.
The mirror reflected a door.
Yes.
And you saw just the reflection of a door that was closed.
And I thought, oh, it's just a closed door.
That's right.
That's right.
That's what you said.
I heard all that.
Oh.
Well.
Wouldn't that be fine?
But you know,
What?
A haul of me.
It would be fun.
It would be fun.
So you know what?
I'm going to do it.
Who cares?
What?
I'm not looking, Joe.
It's okay.
Joan, I'm not looking.
Joan, I'm not looking.
No.
I can't look.
Listen, if I had known I was going to do this, I wouldn't have worn this bra.
This is my worst bra.
That's okay.
I couldn't get these stains out of it.
I want to see that terrible bra.
All right.
Gosh, you know what?
I do feel better because it was hot in here.
It's hot and it's hot and it's hot.
It is.
It is.
as hot as you just said.
Absolutely.
Sometimes that's all you can say.
It's hot and hot.
Burt, come on.
How about you?
Babe,
do you take your top off?
No, I'm not going to.
Oh, yeah, I already had it off.
But it doesn't make sense for,
you already had your top off.
Okay, that tracks.
Nobody can see him, sure.
Bert, why are you being so weird about this?
I don't think I'm being weird.
I think of being normal.
What's weird is he's literally putting up his hand to his head.
He's not looking at me.
I know.
I know.
I don't need us to be even, Joe.
Okay.
Even?
Because you've seen all of my bits.
Okay.
I guess that is true.
You've seen me as God designed me.
So now what?
God designed you.
So now what?
I guess we have to ask you, is there anything that you would like to say to Susan and her
daughter and the Dignity Falls community at large?
Do you want to say anything to Ross and Carol?
Oh, yes.
Yes.
Okay, go for it.
This is your platform.
Carol, Ross.
I hope that you're still alive.
And I hope that you are.
enjoying everything that you ever wanted it.
If I could, I would take all of the waters away from you.
Wow.
So sort of being very magnanimous at the beginning.
And then.
And a well steel.
Is it, would you, why would you like to take all the water away from them?
Because they don't appreciate it.
Yes, no, yes.
And it's more for me.
Oh, I like that.
More water for you.
Give that, of course, all the water.
Oh, my gosh.
And is there anything?
Do you feel better?
How do you feel?
How'd that feel doing that?
Good.
What would you like to say to the people of Dioreos who were at lunch that day?
Sorry that we...
Or brunch, I should say.
It was 10 a.m.
I guess it was brunch.
Oh, then I wasn't there.
Oh.
Wait, that wasn't you?
This whole time.
Oh, my God!
So you were there a different time of day.
Oh, that's crazy.
A.
Oh, that's crazy.
A.
Wow.
This was three different naked people.
Yeah, it was 9 a.m. at Diorios.
Got it.
So that wasn't you.
Oh.
No.
I wonder who that was.
But, Bert, this is a happy accident.
Otherwise, we'd have never met you.
If we hadn't had this confusion, it's odd that the same thing happened twice in one day.
This is crazy.
I know.
We never met you.
I'm happy for this accident.
Well, Madam Corch, thank you so much.
What a delight to talk to you.
This has been...
What a roller coaster.
...absolutely looking right at her and everything, but not looking at me.
No, I can't.
I can't.
All right, fine, fine.
Well, I wanted someone to come.
compliment me on my breasts. How do I look, Madam Gorge? You know what? I'm proud.
You're proud of my breasts? Or they look proud? Yes. Okay. I think that's a good, that's a good
compliment for breasts. I think proud. I think proud is a good breast. Well, I'm proud of you,
Madam Gorsuch, for speaking your truth and coming on here and answering our questions and being very
patient while we work out our new sort of policies. Yes. And I just, we always say this. I really mean
that we wish you well. We do. I am rooting for you.
I think you're a tribute to the neighborhood.
Thank you.
Yes, you are.
I can come back tomorrow.
Oh.
Yeah, well, you can.
If I need something moved, I will reach out to you.
Okay.
All right.
Now I would put your-
Wait, is that a thing that movers do?
Sometimes they'll just move something from one room to another.
I can do that.
Yes, that is.
It's become a niche, a spinoff of regular moves.
So how does that work?
You get paid by the minute?
Well, usually buy how heavy it is.
I could use that in the back rooms.
Oh, God.
No one is going back there.
no one is going back there. You're going to have to do all that work yourself, babe.
All right. I am going to have you cover up, though, because if my twin boys come through,
they'll just lose their mind. So I just want to protect you. Okay. All right. And I guess I'll,
I mean, they've seen me naked, but they tried, they pranked me when I was naked. It was terrible.
They filmed it. And they only blocked off my face. That's the only thing that was actually
blurred out. So nobody knew. I guess that's true. You know what, Madam Gorge? Maybe that's what they
were thinking. I never thought about it that way. That's a really positive way to look at it.
truly is.
They're like, it was just some naked woman in the house.
Wasn't her mom.
Well, that, of course, thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. You're welcome. You're welcome. You're welcome.
I wish you cool temperatures and all the water you can drink.
All the water you can drink.
Thank you. Thank you. And I would like some water.
Oh, I'll get you that right away.
We'll return with the neighborhood listen. When the neighbor listen returns.
I'm sick of all the advertisement on this app.
If it doesn't change, I will.
Do you get it?
If I don't, if they don't stop putting all that advertisement on the app,
then I will change.
I will, I will be different.
If the, if the app isn't different, then I will be different.
And I'll start advertising.
Off the app, I'll start advertising all over the place.
See how everybody else likes it.
I'll advertise.
I'll find out the headquarters of the app and go advertise there.
Advertise?
But services and goods.
Now, I, I don't have a, you know, I don't business or anything.
a Catholic priest, if you must know,
but I'm sick of all the advertisement.
I don't go to where you are on the online
and advertise Jesus Christ
and transubstantiation, do I?
But if this app doesn't change,
I will do that.
I'll go to where you are
and advertise confession
and being in a state of grace.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And welcome back to The Neighborhood Listen.
My top is back on.
Burnt can look at me again.
Thank you, Joan.
Thank you.
Well, I don't know how to feel.
I want to feel part of me feels like you're, you know, very respected.
And then part of me, I don't know.
I think maybe because I'm going to go home to Gabby and say, here's what happened to me at the recording.
Okay, that's a good point.
You know what I mean?
I get it.
Which bra were you wearing, babe?
She's got a, she's got a few wild ones that she doesn't.
doesn't really like.
A few wild one.
Sometimes in a pinch you'll wear.
It's the one that I bled on, babe.
And then I was,
it was the one,
remember there was that one time.
So like I,
I,
I,
we were all,
I was trying to teach the boys how to,
how to,
how to cook.
And,
um,
I was trying to show them how to do like the mandolin,
you know,
which I,
there,
everyone's been slicing their hands open on those things.
That's all that does.
And so I got,
I had to go and get,
um,
like a band date.
and stuff, but they decided to take over.
And by the time I came back, Matt almost lost a finger.
And it was absolutely squirting everywhere.
So his blood got all over my bra.
And then zip, so, zab, Zop, Zawt did it.
Why were you cooking in your bra?
There was so much blood on my shirt that I was like, I have to take this off.
Oh, I see.
Okay.
And then I found, I found, but then it was also getting all over my bra because, you know,
I was like, I went to take it off.
And I was like, well, now this is my favorite bra.
It has blood on it.
But I realized I would be able to get rid of that blood because you know this.
You can spit on your own blood and it'll come out.
Oh, that's gross.
It's not.
This is a great tip.
And people are going to appreciate this.
It's not gross.
The enzymes in your own saliva.
Literally if you spit on it, the blood will come out.
It has to be your blood.
Is that true?
It's literally true, babe.
I have gotten many of my own blood stains out.
And there's been so many.
With my own spit.
It's true.
It's really true.
Look it up.
And I'm sure there's some listeners who are agreeing with me on time.
I don't doubt the veracity.
It is gross.
Fine.
There's no way around that.
Fine.
It's gross.
We got blood and spit.
You're spitting on blood and mixing it around.
Yes.
And then you're getting a stain out.
Isn't that wonderful?
Happy accident.
So I came back downstairs.
Yeah, they freaked out that I was in their bra.
They like, instead of like trying to, they freaked out and they tried to take it off of me,
which was like a weird reaction.
So then I had all these bloody handprints on my bra.
And you know what?
Birthday had the same reaction.
I said, boys, this is my favorite bra.
Can you please spit on it so that I can clean it?
They were like, ew, no.
That's disgusting.
Wait, if they spit on it, it works?
Because it was their blood.
Because they're twins.
Either their spit will work.
Correct.
That's correct.
So neither one of them would spit on it.
And so now it is a bloodstained bra because it still is my favorite bra.
And I watched it a million times and it didn't work.
This is, you can challenge me on this if you like.
But I think that's the worst story that's ever been told the show.
I regret asking.
You should.
I was worried.
I was asked what happened.
I was asked what happened and I told the truth.
I did ask. I was just.
worried that you were embarrassed
by the Ninja Turtle bra I gave you.
Oh no, the Ninja Turtle bra is fun.
Why are they even making
bras with that pattern?
Well,
my boobs came in late.
So I actually was wearing a training bra
until 38. I think even a training bra
shouldn't have the Ninja Turtles on it.
Now, that's not fair.
That's just because you're thinking like teenage
girls can't like Teenage Mutin Ninja Turtles.
You know, it can only be teenage boys.
I think it, no, no, no.
It's that I,
it's that I feel like it's a little
it's a little
once you're getting into bra territory
we shouldn't be having Ninja Turtle pattern things
you can say that but don't we don't we all agree now
that you have Disney adults you have people
who love comic books even as adults
there's nothing wrong with an adult having a teenage
Muti Turtle bra have you been to Hot Topic
I mean there's all sorts of things that you would say
adults shouldn't have and of course they do
because it's fun for them because it's what they grew up with
and now they and now they want Hello Kitty lingerie
What's wrong with that?
well I can tell you but I don't think anyone wants to hear it
probably not we have time for just one final post we do
here and Joan you have it I believe yes this is from Trenna
and it says I'm worried I'm just gonna preface this by saying I'm worried this is
I usually don't like a post when someone is asking like hey what are these what's this
insect you know just AI just like no not a I don't cut that up just like Google
Chris it's the same thing but you know you can take a picture of it now and like
the internet will tell you there's apps yeah there's
steps.
This sounds like this is not a place to put this question.
This sounds like a problem that's bigger than the neighbor have.
Oh, my God.
Trina says, are there any kind, spiritual people in here?
No, at first I thought it was, are there any kind of spiritual people in here?
But I think she's saying kind, spiritual people in here.
I need spiritual advice.
Spiritual, sorry.
Spiritual.
Spiritual.
So hang on.
This is the important part here.
Like Madam Gorge would say, there's a lot of talking.
I just, we were just having some spiritual.
It just needed.
maybe 10 seconds.
Honestly, we just were asking for 10 seconds to riff on that.
That's all.
Okay.
Okay.
Sorry.
It's fair.
She said, I'm going to start over.
Are there any kind spiritual people on here?
I need spiritual advice for someone sending dark stuff.
Thanks.
Oh, no.
But what does that mean?
Sending dark stuff.
Sending dark stuff.
It's so, it's so concerned.
that person should not be looking on that app for that help.
She should be, I don't know, calling the police, going to a priest.
I would also.
What does she mean sending dark stuff?
That means someone sending her dark stuff?
I think so.
But in what context is she getting, is she getting emails about the devil?
Or is she?
I assumed it was more vibes kind of thing.
Not that it was emails about the devil.
We all know the mail or damon.
Oh, I know.
The what now?
The mail or damon.
Mailer Damon.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think the word sending is what made me think that.
Yes.
What were you thinking sending?
You send vibes.
Oh,
you mean like she thinks that someone's casting like a bad spell on her?
Yes.
Oh.
Why would she need a spiritual person to deal with emails?
Well, she says kind.
Why would it need to be kind?
Well,
because it's like,
well,
you know,
how Gandalf was nice and then Sauron was not.
Right?
I don't know if that's the correct analogy.
It's two side of the...
I think it is true.
Well,
I mean,
that's the ultimate analogy.
you sound like Saramon.
Oh, Saramon, who I should have said.
So you have these sort of mystical powers,
but you can be kind about it,
or you can be mean about it and send dark stuff.
Oh.
So are she looking for someone to combat
the person sending dark stuff?
It sounds that way.
Okay.
Or just to give advice.
I just wish she'd been more specific
because this really worries me,
and I can't tell she's talking about, again,
like the demons, which we know, we all hate.
We all hate it.
We all hate demons.
Yes.
I think we should say that definitively.
Should we?
We all hate demons.
I haven't met one.
That's a policy of this podcast.
This is official policy.
We all hate demons.
But I do the most.
That's undisputed us.
Yeah.
That's not up for debate.
I just,
sometimes I just think people don't understand how the internet works.
You know,
like this is not the kind of question
that you go to the neighbor app app with.
This sounds more serious.
To me it sounds like somebody's sending
her physical dark stuff.
Oh, dear.
Like what?
Like a bowling bowl?
Noot size.
So you just mean an item that's dark in color?
No, I don't mean that.
Okay.
Well, that Doug, see, that was Burns idea.
So that, that tone was directed at you Burns.
Okay.
So you used me.
How does that feel burnt?
It doesn't feel great.
I didn't mean to sew any kind of like, you know,
angering.
Oh, dear.
What did you mean, babe, by Sunday dark stuff?
I meant like I have newt.
Oh, you know.
Just, again, I'm going to quote,
Matt and George, too much talking.
Hair of witch.
So you mean dark in a...
Oh, did you just say Wart?
No.
Oh, what did you say?
Well, when?
So I start from the beginning.
He said, I have nude and hair of witch.
I have nude and hair of witch.
Okay, got it.
Which you think a witch is somebody who's doing the potion.
They're using I of nude.
Are they just using their own hands?
I'd be very upset if I just got hair and a newt eye in the mail.
I'd be very upset opening that package.
How do you know it's a hair of a witch when you open it up?
Don't we all just know what a hair of which was
It's going to be like very pubic hair
Strings and then and stuff
Yarn
Yarn
Or yarn
Well I don't know
I feel like
I
Trina I think you should go to a church or something
I think you should go to
I think you should go to like the police station
I don't know something
The police station
I don't know you forget it
The police don't do anything here in Davy Falls
They truly don't
I just wanted to get more
actionable
She needs to take more actionable
steps to get help.
I don't think it's bad to reach out on the neighbor.
I have to see if there's any of your neighbors are,
are saying, you know, light side.
There might be someone lurking who's like a kind of out of work witch or like sort of
out of practice mystic.
Why do they have to be lurking or out of practice?
Joan.
I'm not trying to be anti-witch.
I'm sorry if it seems that I am.
I'm not at all.
Do you remember that woman who was running for office and she got
accused to being a witch?
I do.
I am not a witch.
I'm not a witch. I'm you.
All right. Well, Trina, if that is a name,
I hope that we helped.
Oh, I'm not sure we did.
I say keep the lights on. Don't go in the dark.
Don't open your mail.
Don't close your eyes.
Don't turn around.
Oh, no.
There are comensors in town.
All right.
Well, that does it for this.
The first episode of season E11 Evan.
E11 Evan.
I will talk about what I'm up to next time.
Oh, Joan, it's up to you.
Do you want to squeeze in one thing?
No, no, no, no, no.
I don't want to.
I already got topless on the show.
And you know what?
That was exciting enough.
Now, next episode, I will remind you that you want to talk about yourself.
Thank you.
Because I know you will ask me about me.
Men, remind your women to talk about themselves.
Fellas, is it gay to ask a woman to talk about herself?
That's not the question I was asking.
No, I was putting it in the internet terms.
Okay, great.
All right. Thank you for listening. We'll be back next week with a new episode until then. Goodbye.
And bye.
