Savannah business receives backlash over new promotion. A Broughton Street business is at the center of a social media firestorm on their new promotion. The business says that they're trying to help disenfranchised communities, but some say it unfairly targets white people.

Can you explain to me what a disenfranchised community is? Am I a franchised community because I'm white? Is that like I'm working for Burger King or McDonald's or Dunkin' Donuts? What the fuck is a disenfranchised? There's no such thing. If you can't keep up with the rest of the communities, tough shit. How about that? tough shit. How about that? Play the victim game. Do we know if this guy's black or white that owns a store, Raz? I've been mostly employed as a white. I don't know about the owner. Civvies on Broughton is waiving a $20 deposit fee for appointments to black and other people of color. They've adopted the appointment system since opening after the COVID-19 shutdown. The deposit will only be charged to white customers in order to hold their appointment.

Check out what they try to burn down a union police office. Breaking news overnight where police in Portland, Oregon, declared a riot after protesters broke into police union headquarters and started a fire.

Police tried to clear the area, shutting down several streets around the union headquarters. Demonstrators have taken to the streets of Portland for more than two months now. Oh, yeah. And his following words and and, you know. Defending the George Floyd police brutality. They say it on every fucking, it's got nothing to do with that. It hasn't for about eight minutes after George Floyd died. But Portland, what is your, oh, that's right. They get that guy Ted Wheeler, who's literally a fucking anarchist himself as mayor,

tells the police to step down and to fucking not use tear gas. Isn't it funny? 70th night of rioting, whatever. Isn't it funny when you don't do anything? When you don't hit back and break a few heads? How it keeps happening? Should we be surprised at this? I hate to bring this up again.

Why don't you be a real general instead of hiding behind the fucking curtain? So they wandered into this neighborhood, and once again, when I see shit like this, it makes me feel good. White people in the late hundreds with osteoporosis and arthritis. Police soon arrived and began dragging some of the extremists off to jail.

Did I give you that clip? The people applauding along the street? I did. I probably sent it in the wrong. The rally goers were met with two different groups of counter protesters. Again, the rally goers are the good people. According to multiple protesters at the scene, some counter protesters were affiliated with Black Lives Matter rally

that took place early in the afternoon at Colorado State University. Other counter protesters, bad guys, dressed in all black, had an unclear affiliation, though some protesters referred to them as bad guys, dressed in all black, had an unclear affiliation, though some protesters referred to them as Antifa, or Antifa if you want to get French about it. Footage from the rally has since gone uber viral and attracted the praises of countless Americans who believe the rally goers are veritable heroes and wish there were more Americans like them, particularly in the radicalized city of Portland.

This incident in Fort Collins comes only days after extremists in Portland threw paint on an old lady and berated her. We got that, right? Check this out. We're dying! I'm going to die! Well, our governor here in Georgia, Brian Kemp, on Wednesday signed into law a new measure providing additional legal protections to police officers a step that critics say is flawed and out of step with nationwide efforts to make officers more accountable for their actions really it's out of step i just showed you what's going on in this country is that what you're talking about when you say uh nationwide efforts to make officers more accountable is that what you're talking

about? Good for Governor Kemp. Kemp. Governor Kemp. I combined Kemp with Trump. I saw the meeting. Kemp. Or Trent. whoever you want to yeah they say the critics say it's flawed not a step with the efforts to make

cops uh more uh accountable really so you're with those mobs if you want to talk like a fucking millennial we'll send you to slipping fallppin' Falls School. Oh, easy, Richie. House Bill 838 creates a new crime, bias, motivation, intimidation, which would apply to the death or serious bodily injury of a police officer, firefighter, or emergency medical technician. Can you imagine we need special laws to protect first responders?

Even ambulance people get attacked. The crime would also apply anytime someone causes more than $500 in damage to property owned by police, firefighters or emergency medical technicians because of actual or perceived employment as a first responder the measure was passed alongside a new bill penalizing hate crimes in georgia which i love because there's no such thing as a fucking hate crime senate republicans originally sought to include first responders as a protected class and the hate crime bill but a furious revolt by who else? Democrats threatened to sink the effort, especially because some Republicans oppose the hate crimes bill. Faced with pressure from business groups and the possibility of national embarrassment after the February death of Ahmaud Arbery, which federal authorities are investigating as a possible white on black hate

crime, legislative leaders agreed to strip first responder protection from the hate crimes bill. But Republicans then separately ran through the police protections bill with almost no Democratic support, which I think is terrific. Although giving police more protections goes against a national climate of demands for more police accountability restaurant where Atlanta police had shot a black man named Rashard Brooks the month before. Kemp contended that the city of Atlanta couldn't provide adequate protection. And try arguing with that. Just the facts, ma'am. Hmm. protection. And try arguing with that. Just the facts, man. We didn't cover that story, but that was a pretty sad story. Which one? So they set up roadblocks outside of the Wendy's and just shot a car that drove by and it was a little eight-year-old in

And I think that people were from out of town when the girl got hit in the car. Anyways, House Bill 838 is a step forward as we work to protect those who are risking their lives to protect us, Kemp said in a statement Wednesday after he signed the measure. While some vilify, target, and attack our men and women in uniform for personal or political gain,

this legislation is a clear reminder that Georgia is a state that unapologetically backs the blue. Goddamn right. The crime, if you do something to a cop, is punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. The measure says that the sentence must be stacked atop any other criminal convictions. In other words, you can't, if you got more than one crime, you know, sometimes you can serve them simultaneously or concurrent, whatever the word is. That's not the case here. Be served at the same time that each violation must be a separate crime that could lead to long sentences for violations

such as a vandalism aimed at officers the measure also allows police officers to file lawsuits good against any person company or group for infringing on the officer's civil rights arising out of the officer's performance of official duties or filing a knowingly false complaint against an officer. Good, so they can get a fucking lawyer involved. Counselor! Counselor! I mean, every city should be doing that. The country's burning, as you saw from the first five minutes of the show,

The councilman, Bone in, voted to cut the city's police budget by 150 million, allegedly called police to his home several times since April. Fox 11 reporter Bill Malingian tweeted a link Friday to a public information records request that reportedly showed Councilman Mike Bonin called LAPD to his home eight times since April 4th of this year, PD to his home eight times since April 4th of this year, including to provide extra patrols and protection from peaceful protesters at his house. Excuse me.

Bone in, whose website described him as a progressive problem solver, later denied the accusations and said he had never asked offices to patrol his home he's lying here's his response to the guy that wrote it no bill this is as false as the tampon story you broke what what were you doing with tampons mike bonin I have never asked LAPD for patrols at my house. Yeah, well, that's not what the public record says. Following Bonin's denial, Malingan tweeted that multiple LAPD sources say they would not generate their own calls for a simple patrol. So they're refuting what he says in a twitter thread bone in claimed when protesters showed up to his house i specifically asked lapd not to send anyone he says this is a cute tactic

to try to silence or intimidate a public official who is standing up to the police union it ain't working. And then he gobbled a pint of goo. Fucking broad. The L.A. City Council voted in June to study ways to cut the LAPD's budget by $100 million to $150 million. The People's Budget L.A. proposal was developed by a coalition of organizations led by Black Lives Matter of Los Angeles. I'll repeat again. They're a Marxist organization.
