Starting point is 00:00:05 Hi, and welcome to the Origins Podcast. I'm your host Lawrence Krauss. I'd like to take a moment to give you a brief introduction to this exciting new project and to give you a glimpse of what you can expect from episodes to come. Our goal with the Origins podcast is to create a series of unique and thought-provoking in-depth discussions with some of the most interesting people in the world about their own origin stories, their work, and their reflections about issues ranging from politics to religion to arts and culture, to see.

In upcoming episodes, you'll hear from comedian, writer, director, Ricky Jervais, and Brian May of the legendary rock group, Queen, Nobel Prize winning scientist Sheldon Glashow, public intellectual and the father of linguistics, Noam Chomsky, Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Greenblatt, Tony Award-winning director, Sir Trevor Nunn, and New York Times columnist, Gail Collins, just to name a few. These conversations will not be interviews. There are wide-ranging discussions between two people with complementary perspectives and differing expertise on a host of issues of current interest.
