Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello beautiful people and welcome to our Hubble the boat the Thunderdome on this concave for the June 3rd 2025 this program begins now Spore are happening all around us and as we await the NHL Stanley Cup finals Which kicks off or drops puck tomorrow evening and then then the NBA finals, which tips off on Thursday evening. We have something magical happening tomorrow from Cary, North Carolina. It is the TST event.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Oy, oy, oy. TST. Oy, oy, oy. TST. Oy, oy, oy. So you wanna say TST tournament, but it is actually the soccer tournament. So if you were saying TST tournament, it would be the soccer tournament tournament. It would be the soccer tournament squared, which it should be more like cubed
Starting point is 00:00:56 or maybe even to the 10th because of how spectacular it is. There's a bunch of soccer teams coming down to carry North Carolina in battling in a seven-on-seven style of play that is absolutely electrifying for a one million dollar cash prize only one team can win one million bucks and we're hoping it's our team the con cava SC boy Obviously we got dogs all over the place the man saying shush shush your face Shush your face you'll get to know him over the next few days. That's meat
Starting point is 00:01:28 He's one of the arena league boys on the other side. We go ruggles. Okay, this guy I Guess is the guy look at I guess there's him and me on the same team is Problematic for the entire TST and then obviously Grela's back's back. Great to see Grela back. Brex Shea leading the way. He will fight people. Brex Shea will fight. We have a tough team. We have a team that doesn't take any shit. And we have a style of soccer that's going to be played down there that is going to be absolutely electrifying. Let's get to the rules here. Okay. It's a seven on seven tournament on a smaller field. In the field, carry North Carolina. I don't think I've ever seen better grass.
Starting point is 00:02:07 It looks like it's a golf tournament. It does. It literally looks like you're playing soccer on a fairway with how beautiful it is. Obviously there's bleachers, there's tickets being sold. Our show will be live down there tomorrow and Thursday. And the game is electrifying. Each game, 40 minutes with two halves,
Starting point is 00:02:20 20 minutes each, obviously. Running clock, running clock. And whenever the game is over, you know the end of the 20 minute second half, there's something called target score time. There's no offsides, there's unlimited substitution. And the only way the game ends is with a goal being scored. And it's never over, nobody's ever out of it.
Starting point is 00:02:37 We were down a couple goals and in target score time we're able to come back and hit the target score. What's the target score? Oh, one more goal than what the leader has. Yes. Okay, so if we're leading five nothing, look for that to happen. Which will happen.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Look for that to happen, okay? If we're up five nothing, as soon as the game's over, it'll go to target score time. The target score now is six. They could technically score six straight goals and beat us. That game's not over till they do that. Every three minutes in the target score time, one player from each team is getting removed from the field.
Starting point is 00:03:09 So it starts seven on seven, then six on six. Then guess what? Wow, four on four, three on three. They'll get down to two on two on this entire field. It is electrifying. The only way a game can end is with a massive goal being scored. There's always a walk-off goal. There's always a walk-off goal.
Starting point is 00:03:25 There's always a walk-off celebration. There's always a moment where a team is saying, yes, we might win a million dollars, and a team saying, damn, we're in this thing and we let this get away. This is target score time. That is meat. He was playing goalie back there. That's why he had a penny on. Pass it over to another one of the Arena League boys.
Starting point is 00:03:39 That's Derek Huffman. He's back on the squad. He puts it in the corner and obviously the boys go bananas. We were losing in this game down to zip we come back win three two in target score time And obviously we go crazy. I had a torn hip flexor at that time From my appearance in a game previous to that one and I do have an upper and lower body going on right now Sure, so I'm not sure how many minutes I will have on the pitch itself, but I'm going down there as team owner I'm going down there incredibly proud of the group that the boys put together
Starting point is 00:04:06 Mike Foss has been acting as general manager for this team. He found some good ones. Yeah, we got some old experienced vets We got some guys that played in the Premier League. We got guys that played in internationally We got guys that played in MLS and then we got the Arena League boys coming in there to do their thing now The arena style of soccer which is obviously a little bit smaller, a little bit fast paced, a little bit more Sure A little bit more rugged I say. A little more greasy. Yeah, but that is what the TST tournament is about So we got a good group of arena league boys that are back. They are going to steal The shine. They are going to steal the show. They're unbelievable. Then we got some outdoor soccer guys that have incredible resumes joining them.
Starting point is 00:04:45 And I think this team led by Coach Tony Moala. Wow. Coach Tab Ramo. Wow. And obviously Coach Bubba Gumpino. Coach Gump, three hall favorite. I think we have a chance to maybe win this thing. Last year we got, getting the hang of it.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I think we got to the quarterfinals. Had some electrifying moments. This year feels like we're more prepared. Feels like the games are going to be gonna be electrifying and it's not just us the other teams have gotten better as well This TST is wonderfully run Obviously it started with TBT the basketball tournament whenever they saw the success of that the founders of TST approached the basketball tournament people said We think we could run like a soccer version of this. Okay, they to a deal. TST already bigger than the basketball tournament by far. They sell thousands and thousands of tickets. The amount of merch that is sold,
Starting point is 00:05:29 the amount of ex-players that come back, and the vibes of this entire tournament, ridiculous. What they do is a beautiful thing. We can't wait to get down there. And the concave-a, boys. Oh, oh, oh, concave-a. Feel good. Had a scrimmage last night down there.
Starting point is 00:05:48 How'd it go? Boys are rolling. Okay. The boys are fast. The boys are ahead of schedule on what style of play is. Last year we got dropped in there, didn't have any preseason, didn't have a training camp. Playing seven on seven. A lot of guys play 11 on 11 soccer, had no idea what the fuck they were doing.
Starting point is 00:06:01 So they had to kind of figure it out as they were going. We kind of learned as we went alongside the Arena League boys and this year feels like we got a better head start we're ready to go let's go to one half of the hammer, Cowboys, Bobba Gumpino, coach of the Concava squad obviously Gumpi what are you looking for the boys this year and are you trying to tally more than two yellow cards like you had last year? Maybe going for three but I love this squad it is absolutely stacked top to bottom as we found out last year as the tournament went on we kind of ran out of steam had
Starting point is 00:06:29 guys playing full games this year we just keep the boys rolling and everyone's just gonna keep doing their thing out there okay we were playing some tough teams oh yeah yeah Bournemouth coached by Josie out the door we got a Rexam I believe they're gonna be playing down there And who else is in our group? Real Athletico. Yeah. Anytime you got the Atletico. Is that the death group? That's when you... Shout out to YouTube TV. Shout out. What? That's cool. Yes. Yeah. Being a sports fan isn't easy, is it? No, not at all. No. God, we talked about this with the Pacers. We talked about this with, I think we talked about it with the Fever last year whenever we were trying to find we talked about it with Pittsburgh Penguins. Oh there's good ones. Good teams to root for. Yeah but that's what
Starting point is 00:07:13 Pacers okay that's what I'm talking about. They're tough to find. Yeah true. You know it's not easy YouTube TV gets avid sports fans to feel more at ease. That could be you. Yes. You're a fan of like four different teams in each league. Perfect. Let YouTube TV let you feel more at ease. That could be you. You're a fan of like four different teams in each league. Let YouTube TV let you feel more at ease, knowing they have access to all your favorite sports and live TV. They want to.
Starting point is 00:07:32 That's what YouTube TV is. MVP features. How about that? Most valuable platform features. They'll put game highlights, stats, and scores all in one place, making it even easier to be a fan. And also, Tumblr. They didn't say that, was an ad lib by me if they get in trouble for that that was on me not on them but stats, highlights, everything that is a
Starting point is 00:07:52 big part of that whole game but also if you're just a fan you want to learn more about the team that you love, player that you love, YouTube TV says oh bye there it is for you and obviously you can choose the multi view watch up for get home the best perfect you know we talked about this before the show innovations and television There it is for you and obviously you can choose a multi view watch up for get home the best perfect You know we talked about this before the show Innovations in television that have made my life a lot better First downline. Yeah huge huge. Yes apps major Gigantic. Yes. I mean that is one of the biggest things that has ever happened to television that I've been super pumped up about and then you think About multi-view with the four of them, I assume inevitably it was gonna happen.
Starting point is 00:08:26 You know, everybody will probably have this at some point, but shout out to YouTube TV getting that done for us. So, it's all a general. It's possible. Yeah, building your own is everything. I hate when they force me to watch. So that's how it started. Remember, like, here are your options,
Starting point is 00:08:39 and then now it's developed so much. I assume that's a lot of shit to figure out. To put in there behind the scenes, and everybody wind up doing it I assume at some point but congrats YouTube TV bringing that into our life All you do is scan the QR code to score YouTube TV for $59.99 per month for two months right there. Okay, that's cheap I believe that is a deal right there $59.99 a month for two months shout to YouTube TV We do appreciate the hell out of you. Yeah
Starting point is 00:09:01 I mean, I'm spending every single Sunday all day with you YouTube TV And you've made my life easier and better shout to them and TSD is about to be electrifying because now we talk a little soccer Let's talk to boys a little bit Let's go to talk to table at boss Connor and at Ty Schmidt Ty Schmidt first of all big baseball conversation here say with AJ Hawk Jack Cagliari, Florida. He's the one. He is the one. I saw the reaction. This guy hits like Aaron Judge in Shohei Ohtani. That's what Jet Passing did on this show yesterday when Darius Butler and I were at maybe the most wonderful,
Starting point is 00:09:38 that's a- Feel good. I mean, it was a beautiful, beautiful place. Beautiful, it was a beautiful funeral. I don't think, I don't think I've ever been to a funeral where it was like, everybody there was like, yeah, that was how it was a beautiful beautiful. It was a beautiful funeral. I don't think I don't think I've ever been to a funeral where it was like Everybody there was like yeah, that was how it was supposed to go. Like that is exactly what Big man boss man, Jimmy, Ji, Jim, James Dad a lot, you know boss everything all the titles that he had for all the people that were there
Starting point is 00:10:02 It was beautiful. I mean this choir I think I think it was the Eastern Church Choir, I think was the name, I should have looked that up, I apologize for them. Incredible. Black choir, two whites, two whites, had a guy on piano, had a guy in the back, I don't know what he did, I still don't know what he did. I think he was just there for, you know... D-Butt sitting next to me goes, D, I hire Top Rover. He probably had good pipes. He's doing something.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Whatever he did, he did his part. That whole group, they need to know, they brought it. I don't even, we're talking standing ovations in a funeral for the choir. And then all the daughters spoke, and I thought they did a wonderful job, by the way. That is incredibly difficult. Obviously that many people,
Starting point is 00:10:45 let alone everything that's been going on. And also now the amount of pressure and expectation that are on them to lead the Indianapolis Colts going next. And I think with everything I heard from them, I think they are prepared to be great NFL owners. Obviously they've been in it their entire lives and listening to them speak and the way they handled it yesterday was, everybody that spoke, I feel like had a different angle, which I
Starting point is 00:11:06 don't know if they all got on the same page and did that or not, different story, different perspective. There was even a conversation about everything he's given back to obviously the recovery community, which I don't think any of us in there knew. Like, hey, you know Jim built like the nicest
Starting point is 00:11:22 in like the country? Did you know? No, obviously he didn't know that, because this is just something he did like all the stories that were just kind of coming out yesterday We're all awesome. Then there was some videos that we hadn't seen some songs We hadn't heard then his band performed at the end Yeah, I don't know who he was great tribute. Oh my god, Axman brought it shredded I mean like legitimately brought it home it was just it was like a perfect celebration of Jim Ursay yesterday and D-butt myself and my wife
Starting point is 00:11:55 We sat amongst all the NFL owners Somehow literally just completely Did well was to my left. Mm-hmm Rooney was to the left of him. I believe McAskey was next to Darius. Woody Johnson was there. Rodge was there. Haslam was there. Mara was there. Great posture on Mara. Perfect. This guy, he was right in front of us. Didn't even think about slouching, which is easy to slouch in those church pews, especially without perfect posture the entire time I think was a beautiful celebration of Jim legitimately so many good stories They were definitely happy looking down like you mentioned celebration, you know celebrating his life celebrating the you know, the legacy
Starting point is 00:12:36 That he left behind here hearing his daughters, you know, we have kids and like, you know at some point, you know Hopefully, you know your kids are there to say those words and speak about you in that tone and we know him as a boss a lot of people know him as a boss or whatever he was in the community but to see his daughters his grandkids there um it was an amazing service and i'm sure he was he was happy looking down for sure we cried yeah laughed sang clapped and honored him i mean I think it was like, it was perfectly, I don't even know if that is something you
Starting point is 00:13:08 judge is how funerals are done. But that was, I think, perfectly handled. And the card that they gave out with his quote of we are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having
Starting point is 00:13:20 a human experience, which is like such a perfect, every quote they read was about being different. every quote they read was about being different and everything that he was about is like, you know, it's just, it was a cool moment. It was cool. But while that was happening, okay, catching up with everybody, you guys were talking baseball in a big way.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Jet passing came on here and heard everybody's talking about Jack Caglione. This guy's the next big one. I didn't know about him. I had to watch clip to learn about it. You guys did some great journalism and it's not about the MLB right now. Right now it is about college baseball and college softball. There's some magic happening on these diamonds. Seven innings in softball, electrifying. And then nine innings obviously in this college baseball, it's been electrifying. There's been a lot of shit happening in college ball and stick
Starting point is 00:14:00 sports, Ty Schmidt. Yeah. In terms of college softball, I think what we see is like you see like the real blue bloods in it are always gonna be there and that's why it's so Awesome because you a lot of times are getting hey, these are the two best teams left, you know, like last night I believe it was Texas Tech who who took out Oklahoma Obviously, we've had Patty gas so on the show before Pat you went down and kind of spent some time around Oklahoma they're they're the top of the seventh down to two strikes two outs last inning last at bat two run shot from Oklahoma exactly so I mean like the Oklahoma again they're one of those teams you give them a second life like more often than not they're gonna win Texas Tech we talked about it a
Starting point is 00:14:43 couple days ago with D but they made kind of waves. They went out and spent a million dollars on one of the best college softball players. I don't, you don't want, you don't want to say poacher from Stanford, but that was an offer. That's kind of the climate that we live in. And she is an absolute dog. She has thrown every single pitch in the college world series for Texas Tech so far. And will and behold, they're in the championship series series for Texas Tech so far and will and behold they're in the championship
Starting point is 00:15:05 series right now. Yeah with that being said top of the seventh Oklahoma hits a two-run shot on Najari Kennedy. Yeah I believe I'm saying Najari Kennedy she's from Stanford they got a million dollar okay recruiting it's crazy whenever she hit the transfer portal and now you know there's always going to be people saying oh Texas Tech is just buying a victory it's like that's what college sports are. And if women's college softball is making a million dollars, I think that's good for sports. That's not bad for sports. And she's lived up to it.
Starting point is 00:15:33 She was the college player of the year last year. Obviously she was highly sought after. I think there was a story about Alabama recruiting her and maybe Coach Saban saying, how can I help? I think there was some other schools that were like trying to put everything together to get her to go there. She ends up at Texas Tech and now they're in the the final because after the top of the seventh Texas Tech sack fly bottom of the seventh this is all happening in the final inning boom wins the game walk off Texas Tech heads to the finals congratulations to women's softball. People are making a million bucks and it's electrifying.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Yet again, every year it feels like we watch this and we go, damn, damn, damn, UCLA will do something, Oklahoma will do something. Now it's Texas Tech. Oh, you was the defending champ before, everyone on four-peat? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Four in a row, now Texas Tech, obviously going to Kennedy, but now this is their first, you know, success ever on this level. You know, they never had a World Series win, period.
Starting point is 00:16:24 And now to be in the title game is Unbelievable. I was at that Oklahoma softball facility We're talking full stadium full facility gas. Oh statue. Yeah, I mean gas Oh deserves more than one state. Yes, you did have that last year debut or whatever while she's still coaching It's like the a million bucks from Texas Tech. There's hundreds of thousands going to a lot of different players all over the place. It's like this women's softball. And I think I started paying attention
Starting point is 00:16:50 to a little bit more because Shane Leckler, the retired punter, goat in my eyes, his daughter, I guess is a very good softball player. So every time I would call him to ask him to do something, he'd be at another softball tournament. And he would tell me about it. He comes to Indiana for a softball tournament. He's like, yeah, there's like 70 teams in a tournament in Indiana or whatever you start learning about then went out to Oklahoma
Starting point is 00:17:08 It's like damn This is a thriving sport right now in every single summer whenever it plays on ESPN It captivates for one reason or another Usually it's electrifying last night top of the seventh bottom of the seventh game tying dinger and then a sack fly to win that Thing with the superstar of college ball taking on the Reigning Giants like that's a perfect storyline. That is a that's a dream storyline for college softball and it's awesome every single summer Yeah, and I'm not sure how the rivalries are in, you know college softball But I'm assuming Texas Tech in Texas have some sort of black bad blood like the environment now tomorrow night and Thursday night will be
Starting point is 00:17:45 Electrifying because the entire state of Texas I assume no matter where this game is there's going to be a ton of fans And just bragging rights in general like Texas Tech wins I bet Texas is gonna have a couple million dollar players next year and get back at him Yeah, I think they're not gonna be the only one brother. No way I mean there's gonna be Oklahoma knows that they're probably gonna have to happen to like I mean that is I think the people the girls are pitching to me were transfers in to Oklahoma yeah like this past offseason after they won another national championship because they're in they're hitting a transfer portal as well it's uh it's a great
Starting point is 00:18:16 sport fast yeah hey so fast that normal for the aces to pitch every oh yeah okay yeah that's what I mean this is one of the few sports, you know, people bitch about, you know, like certain college football rosters spending a bunch of money. Like softball, if you get a pitcher like, you know, Kennedy, like you could completely change the entire season. Because it's a natural motion they say. Right. So it's just like a rotational thing as opposed to a, it's definitely tiring.
Starting point is 00:18:43 I assume you do wear out your arm. For sure. But they're saying it's a much more natural motion as opposed to what a throw overhand throw not snapping anything off and like putting a lot Of stress on your elbow and stuff like I'm sure like their biceps and shoulders can get pretty sore I mean she's thrown she threw 130 pitches the other night It says she's thrown 300 pitches in three games like that's a lot on the human body and on the arm But yeah, it's it's it's not like throwing a baseball hunter how about when they night oh yeah absolutely intimidated when they fall and it's like it I'll see you seen the fast I'll stand there in a batter's box and it's just like wow it's so fast here it is so
Starting point is 00:19:17 rising yeah both the risers yeah the rise what Jenny Finch was so popular because she threw literally every pitch for team USA in Arizona or whatever Like that's how like because they are literally their faces there every single pitch of every game Yeah, the risers a problem the riser looks like a beach ball coming in. It's like oh wow that one looks much nicer And it ends up in your face. Yeah, and I was like how do you I mean the last two nights those two home runs As soon as it's off the bat. They are shot gone. Yeah,, because they are throwing it so hard. Okay, let's go to baseball. College baseball has a lot going on. Upsets go oar the SEC.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Uh-oh. Yeah. Hey, Greg Sankey. Hey, Sankey. What's going on down there at the SEC? Any more teams? It's going to get loud. It's going to get loud down there.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah, that's a good question. You look at, I mean, 13 teams made it to the tournament and as you can see there are four teams in the SEC left Most of these teams to in the SEC are they're hosting these regional sites So they're playing tournament games on their home field in front of their home crowds and I'd be curious to ask Greg Sankey because I feel like Baseball is one of the sports that they really don't have to put too much Time and energy into because the SEC just dominates like you look at the MLB draft every year Most of those like really top-end talent they're coming from SEC schools because they can play year-round
Starting point is 00:20:39 But that's the thing about college baseball and with these metal bats and and just like the game in general like you're seeing a lot of teams, a lot of these teams even have, don't have winning records, but they're going, even last night, you know, LSU, they got taken to the absolute brink. They were losing almost the entire game. Now they have some of that top end talent who eventually like West Virginia right now. So good luck. Good. You guys still filled a team yeah we had five guys that don't play they want to leave get it get up oh those make sense they're riding the pine they just said I'm out I know it wasn't old
Starting point is 00:21:14 buddy that did the thing the other night that got us the big I know it wasn't him mm-hmm Guzman brother wasn't I know it wasn't Guzman yeah I don't think it was a big bat don't you worry about our team. Where's Connecticut? You guys play baseball? Do you even know what a bat is? We do. I think we won the Big East this year. Okay. Got it. You guys enjoy it. But we'll see because they're still now we have the Super Regionals and from the Super Regionals that's who we're gonna find out who's going to Omaha. It's one of those things There's still a lot of Blue Bloods still a lot of good teams up there but it is crazy that because usually when we get to the college world series, there are
Starting point is 00:21:49 five teams, four to five teams every single year from the SEC. And then you still have the UCLA is of the world, you know, kind of like the perennial powerhouses, North Carolina, Duke teams like that who are good every single year. But if you went into this season and you asked every person who really follows college baseball, big time pundits, they would tell you, yeah, we could have never foreseen that nine teams from the SEC would be eliminated in the first round of the NCAA tournament. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It's fun to watch. We appreciate them doing that. And shout to the SEC baseball atmosphere. Feels like anytime I watch one of those, it is electrifying. Turns up a little bit whenever you get to Super Duper Regional and head over to Super SEC baseball atmosphere. Feels like anytime I watch one of those, it is electrifying. Turns up a little bit whenever you get to the super duper regional, you head over to super duper Omaha. That's right. You got a cello shot.
Starting point is 00:22:30 You've gone lost in the Big East Championship. No. There's three teams in that entire conference. You guys came in second. It's all right. We got a banner this year. Who'd you lose to? As a pro, as an entire pro.
Starting point is 00:22:41 You guys lost to Creighton. Creighton's good. Go squad. They are good. Omaha. Omaha, you know. That's where the college World Series is. So beautiful town We're supposed to go Ty. I think you said you would go joining us now. I would German not from college Yeah, yeah, I love the college World Series. It is what's that place where you're buying all the shots for everybody? Yeah, the the bar and I don't know. Yeah, I don't know the name of it
Starting point is 00:23:01 But yeah, they buy the jello shots, but we'll see cuz that's usually an SEC thing and you know, we might not get any SEC teams who make turn I see has broken the record in the past. I believe I know but they still got to win their super regionals That's your else you bought more more jealous. That's a good gimmick out of that bar Oh, yeah. Hey, who's gonna buy the most shots five bucks apiece? Yeah, you won't buy You won't those small schools that show up all that bar has to say is like well you guys are in SEC schools So we know you're not gonna touch the record. Please don't worry. Don't worry. Coastal Carolina, Murray State. There's no way. West Virginia There's no way you people from Oregon town can drink as much as the people from Tennessee So why don't you just I think that's what they did to the Tennessee people
Starting point is 00:23:41 Yeah, I do believe because I remember because I think Peyton was down there I think Morgan was down there. They clay Travis was down there I think there was a bunch of people went down there over there and it was like we got the record in the mountain shots I'm like good for the bar, dude. That's a good setup. You won't buy 10,000 of these wash me 38,000 is what they bought last year, Tennessee Unbelievable. What a weekend. Yeah, I'm good for the bar. I bet second was 20 grand 32,000 Texas a name cheese. What's the name of the bar? Rocco's Rocco's Rocco's we can't wait to stop by rock five dollars a shot Yeah, make make enough business for the whole year in one weekend
Starting point is 00:24:19 Yeah, so when what you get there knows we're going for 39,000 of those things. Okay, not just me We're gonna need some friends, but we will certainly go for it. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is a man who played 13 years in the NBA. He's co-hosted Knuckleheads podcast, friend of the program, and he had the Knicks, I think. Of course. Yeah, he did. Who didn't?
Starting point is 00:24:38 He's a basketball guy talking on TV. Definitely had the Knicks. And he has the Thunder title. Oh yeah, like everybody does. Ladies and gentlemen, Quentin Richardson. Yeah, Quentin Richardson. What's going on, bud? What's up, fellas?
Starting point is 00:24:50 What's up, fellas? Nice shirt there. I see you. A nice little t-shirt. I see you. Yeah, see, WWEShop.com, you know, immoralize forever on cotton this moment. It was a game tire.
Starting point is 00:25:01 He thought it was a game wire. Did you see the guy that got that tattoo on him? Some Pacers fans got that tattooed. It was pretty sick, too Yeah, I saw it on the outside of a guy's calf feels like that's regrettable. But hey nowadays who cares? Who cares? You don't let it eat out there. This shirt is available with wwe shop.com Tyree Salliburton, obviously Second place for the Eastern Conference finals Larry Bird MVP trophy behind Behind Pascal Siakam, doesn't matter, okay? Doesn't matter, we're onto the finals. We're onto the finals.
Starting point is 00:25:28 What do you think it was about that Pacers team that solidified an Eastern Conference Finals championship? And when did you know? When did you know that the Pacers were gonna run the Knicks out of the gym? And I'm not saying the Knicks are a bad team. They made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. I got nothing but respect for the way they played.
Starting point is 00:25:42 But when did you start to feel like, oh, this is the Pacers series in this entire thing? Well, I mean, obviously after that game one when they stole that away from him like that, that was the that was the soul snatcher. So I felt like that was the you know, right there. That was when I really said, uh-oh, they could really go get this thing. But I mean, as far as the other day, the last game, that first quarter, I could remember in the first or second quarter Just look watching the game and looking at the pace and at one point Stan Van Gundy said it He was like this pace and the way everything is going this favors the Pacers and and I felt that and you saw what happened In that third quarter in the fourth quarter moving on they couldn't keep up with that pace
Starting point is 00:26:19 And I think like miles Turner said in one of their interviews He was like, you know, their togetherness, their continuity and the cohesiveness that they've developed over being and growing up together and having those guys together. I think that's winning right now, man. You got to look at that with OKC and this team. The teams that have that cohesiveness
Starting point is 00:26:38 that kind of come up together, they're the team that's shining right now. They're the two teams left in the finals. Obey Toppin hitting his head off the rim, seemingly every night, and getting chants from the entire crowd was awesome to watch. You're talking about freak athleticism there.
Starting point is 00:26:52 I mean, he's real tall. Bunnies. And he jumps so high every time. After the national anthem plays, he turns around, jumps on the rim, hangs on it, and then jumps back out. He lands it like a free-thriller It's like this guy is explosive. This is unbelievable. Let alone everybody
Starting point is 00:27:13 Nemhardt Thomas Bryant goes bananas Obviously knee Smith hit five of six threes down the stretch whenever they needed them to TJ McConnell come in and bop some wood Won't he? Hey, you'll get in there and pop some wood Yes, he will. He certainly will. And then Carlisle. Big T.J. McConnell fan. I love that dude. I love the way he go in there and mix it up every time. Pittsburgh guy, we appreciate the fact he's an NBA player.
Starting point is 00:27:33 I don't know how many of those guys we have in the history of Pittsburgh. Not a lot. Not a lot. And that's just, that's just reality. That's a football town. That's a football town. If you have the size to play hoops, then you're going to try to get you fatter so you can play offense or line or defense or line. That's a football town. That's a football town. If you have the size to play hoops, then you're going to try to get you fatter so you can play offensive line or defensive line.
Starting point is 00:27:48 That's how it goes. So TJ making it is great news. And you talk about the pace. Coach Carlisle told us that going after last year, after the Eastern Conference finals, the big off season convo is like, we got to be better conditioned. We got to be better conditioned.
Starting point is 00:28:00 We got to be better conditioned. Do you think OKC is a team that's going to be able to keep up with the Pacers conditioning? Because it feels like everybody but the Celtics the last two years during the playoff runs Nobody can keep up with what the Pacers conditioning is. OKC the same exact build and what does the matchup look like you think? I think it's gonna be intriguing man. I think they both have you know teams to go deep into their rosters They play nine ten eleven guys at different times, and they really rely on their bench and their strength in numbers.
Starting point is 00:28:29 But I don't think OKC's pace is as fast as the Pacers. I think they obviously are one of the leading league leaders in pace for the NBA season. But I think they have the youth, and they have the bodies, and they have the players that can keep up and be in transition and they can do their runouts and get in transition as well. So I think they're equipped to handle it, but I think traditionally they don't play, nobody plays as fast as the Pacers really.
Starting point is 00:28:55 I was in Tulsa last night. They love the Thunder out there. Yeah, live for it. It was awesome. It was really, cause I came out, I didn't know how it was going to be actually. Cause I was like, Oh, Oh, we are in Oklahoma. Like this entire thing.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I've almost become one of the pseudo mascots of the Pacers publicly because of the whole sons of bitches, ears ringing situation, you know, that whole thing. So I've got to become, I put myself, I'm a big fan. I like, I'm a big fan of Tyrese, Carlisle. See, I like the way these boys play. See, I love the way the team plays. So I go in there and there's just signs
Starting point is 00:29:27 as soon as I'm coming out. Okay, see in five in my face. Macphrey love you, Thunder in four. A lot of that, a lot of those chants. I was like, I like this. This is about to be electrifying for the finals. This is guaranteed to go six, seven or is there a chance at Oklahoma City
Starting point is 00:29:41 who's just minus 700 right now to win the series. That's a huge favorite. Actually, I got some stats here from Hembo This nine and a half point spread in this first game Oklahoma City is favored by nine and a half in this first game That is the largest spread in an NBA finals game since 2020 when the Lakers were favored by ten and a half first the Heat in the bubble It's the largest game one spread in the final since 2018, when the Warriors were favored by 13 against the Cav. And since 1991, the only team to lose a finals game
Starting point is 00:30:15 when favored by nine and a half or more was the Lakers in 2001. Game one against... The Philadelphia 76ers with Allen Iverson scoring 48 points. Yes. So basically all things are saying the sports books are normally pretty right whenever it's this big.
Starting point is 00:30:30 And when it gets this big, it's not normal. What are your thoughts on the spread and what are your thoughts on how the series is going to go? I'm not a, I'm horrible. I'm like a novice at betting and all of the minuses. So I don't even get into any of that. I don't, I don't even try to any that I don't I don't even try To figure that out, but I'll say this I think
Starting point is 00:30:48 Obviously ok see playing at home like Pat you talking about that crowd like they have one of the sickest Crowd in the league if not the best they are absolutely in the top tier of whoever else is out there But they crowd is literally the closest thing in the NBA I feel like you get to a college crowd with the type of with the way they come up in there and they get after it So I think that's a that's a huge factor that they have going in there But also like when you look at what happened between these two teams during the season and I agree these are two different teams right now Do you know obviously they've been the best two teams down the stretch coming into this point? But if you go by the season, you know Tyrese struggled mightily against them and SGA did not. So if you're looking
Starting point is 00:31:28 at that, that does not bode well. But I mean, I don't, I don't, I don't like to try and use that as a comparison now that we in the finals, because I feel like, like I said, these are two absolutely different teams, but I feel like whoever's able to, you know, force their wheel on the game because SGA, he's a lot different, Pat, than what you saw from Jalen Brunson. Jalen Brunson was a smaller guy, compact, doesn't have the, like SGA is a legit 6'6". He's getting guys up off him, he's going over guys, and he obviously, leading scorer, MVP, he is prolific at putting that ball in the basket.
Starting point is 00:32:03 So he is gonna be a handful for sure. He's a foul artist as well, same with Jalen Brunson, which is prolific at putting that ball in the basket. So he is gonna be a handful for sure. He's a foul artist as well, Sam Jalen Bronson, which is a talent. I don't think it's a negative. I think it's a talent to be able to put yourself in a position to get the whistle. There's never been a dominant scorer in this league that wasn't a foul artist, Pat.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Don't let anybody, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, James Harden, all of these guys, they're big time. LeBron. They get to the foul line, look it up. They are up in the all time leaders of free throw, you know, attempts like when you look at Paul Pierce, T-Mac, all these guys, they got to the foul line. Anybody who scores the ball at a high clip,
Starting point is 00:32:38 they normally get to the foul line, that's a part of it. Yeah, and then I think Crawford told us, Crossover told us that if you're to eliminate foul shots from everybody SGA still the leading scorer. So in run-of-play, he's still the leading scorer as well. So not just He's got quarter points. You can take his fourth quarter points away as well I saw that stat. I saw the same thing he saw. Fourth quarter, fourth quarter, fourth quarter, fourth quarter And he still leads the entire league in scoring. The guy's unbelievable. They got a lot of guys over there They're great.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Jalen will also pop out of nowhere. And then Chet, what's he doing? Too much, feels like. It's going to be a great series. I can't wait. Now on that note, you talked about SGA there. Legit 6'6". Does not look like it with the way he moves.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Does not look like the way he moves. Yeah, way too smooth to be 6'6". You're supposed to have a little horse, you know, like baby horse, when you're that tall, you know, somehow able to move like that. That would be so cool to be able to imagine walking into an LA fitness. It'd be fun. Six six being able to move like that.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Put a headband on do your entire thing. Unstoppable. Sweet hair. Plus get all the fouls. When you look at the numbers he's put up like his numbers say that no one can stop me one on one. Like he scored 30 over 50 times in a season, scored 20 over 60 sometimes. Like that's legit saying league-wide, no matter what defense has happened, no matter what's going on, they can't stop this kid. That's scary.
Starting point is 00:34:00 And he bought Rolexes for the entire team when he won the MVP. Seems like he's the perfect guy. You know, never never right you got a tough baser's team coming to town Yeah, sga on that note Connor has a question for you. Yeah, it might be time to revisit that Paul George trade I think you could consider that as the worst trade in NBA history now that sga is an MVP and they're in the finals But Q rich what? Individual matchup are you looking forward to the most is it s SGA and Neesmith and kind of the other guys that they're going to throw at SGA? Is it, you know, Jalen Halliburr and Alex Caruso on Halliburton? Or is it the new haircut Chad Holmgren versus like Miles Turner kind of
Starting point is 00:34:36 kind of like a new- That was the real thing with that haircut? No, no, no, that was NBA Centel. I was just joking. But which, which match up are you? Centel was running wild last week. Yeah, still is. Oh, my god. People have not caught on yet. Jeez, Barry made an appearance here yesterday.
Starting point is 00:34:52 McCaulker's still throwing his fastball. When your league gets bigger, yeah, you gotta start getting used to these things. Sentel's throwing his fastball still. Jeez, Louise. Anyways, sorry. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, please. I think I'm most interested to see who, who do they,
Starting point is 00:35:07 I believe they would probably put Luke Dort on, I think he'll see Pascal and Tyrese. So I'm interested to see who, this dude Luke Dort is a unit. Do you hear me? He is a unit. And he is a problem out there. Like you gotta watch.
Starting point is 00:35:23 No, listen, I'm telling you Pat, like you got, he, he, torture, one through four with anybody in some five. So I'm interested to see how they deploy him and who he has to guard, because it's going to be a long series for whoever he's on. So I'm interested to see that.
Starting point is 00:35:38 I think, I think Tyrese has to be somewhat like of one of the better players for the team, for you guys to have a chance. He can't have the subpar games here that he has to be somewhat like one of the better players for the team for you guys to have a chance. He can't have the subpar games here that he has to be like the star Tyrese this whole series for you guys to even have a chance because they are so elite at guard played it if he doesn't play well, I don't see how you guys could do anything. All right. Well, good luck to Tyrese.
Starting point is 00:35:58 I think he'll rise to the occasion. Good luck to the Pacers and I can't wait to watch this OKC team do their thing legit. And shout out to Pops man Pops got a hook out of heroes welcome after the game man I was watching them come down I know that had to feel good man out of the arena then when he get brought back they bring him down to the court that was that was dope to see man shout out shout out Tyrese Pops. Yeah shout John Halliburton Pops free pops though it's backwards he's not in jail let's not get crazy here he was sitting at home that's what Tyrese said. Very nice home. The game three, whenever he was up in the suite, he had this neon blue hoodie on. Mm-hmm. Like I was like, I wonder where Pops is and then literally just sticks out.
Starting point is 00:36:35 He is right there and he stood the entire game obviously just like he was courtside and then whenever they win and he's allowed to go down and celebrate, man what a moment. It's great to see him. I saw him in the back. I saw him in the back. Yeah, he gave me a hilarious speech He said I'm not gonna say what he said Of course that huh the finals I think you know cuz they said indefinitely they never gave like an actual time now And his ball is playing in the NBA finals I mean this feels like gotta let him back in there. But also they don't want people to think like,
Starting point is 00:37:09 hey, we're okay with like people getting on. Because I think that's a big deal in the NBA world because of how close fans are. Like I think in your guys's world, if I've kind of come to understand anything with the way players act with fans, I think there is a builtup tension with how close fans are and how they feel like they just got a ticket
Starting point is 00:37:27 to say whatever they want to people with how close they are with basketball. I feel like you guys have to deal with that a lot more. That's why whenever a player snaps finally, I don't think it's just that night. I assume it's probably 20 nights leading up to whatever's taking place. History of the Pacers too.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Yeah. I'm not saying, you know. That's never gonna change, man. That's always gonna be a thing. Our fans get some of the,ers too. I'm not saying, you know. That's never gonna change, man. That's always gonna be a thing. Our fans get some of the, you know, get close to like probably the closest to the action of any fans that, you know, out there. And my experience is like,
Starting point is 00:37:55 if you're very direct and you're concise and you say the thing and you say the thing the right way to the person, they'll know that they're messing with the wrong person and they'll kind of leave it alone. So that's, I've seen that happen a lot too. Yeah, I watched James. They're so close. That's what like, you got to tell them the right thing. Like I had to tell somebody right one time, like, yo, like you do realize that like you are right there.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Like I understand there's rules and there's things, there's invisible lines, but like I can reach out and touch you. I'm very much bigger than you and it will be very easy to harm you. Like bro, just, you know, very easy to harm you. You don't want to be embarrassed right now. Like just like we are very large human beings that are five feet from you. Like don't do it. Don't do it. Like it's a couple of guys over here that will take that fine. I'm just telling you like, don't do it. Very easy to harm you. I'm looking at you, like, don't do it. Very easy to harm you. I'm looking at you right now.
Starting point is 00:38:47 You ain't got it. Okay, I hear what you're saying. We got a lot of guys. I was on their bench. I mean, I was on the Pacers' bench with where we sat. I was in there. I heard what they were saying. So much so that I actually heard James Johnson talk to a New York Knicks fan.
Starting point is 00:39:02 That was front row, probably six feet feet behind us and what he was saying and I mean he verbally decapitated this man Jeff Johnson did it was a problem but with how that went I just thought to myself damn they are in here like I didn't see that getting Oklahoma City's fans from what I've been told it's just like college atmosphere yeah wrong they're in it stars yeah it's just like college atmosphere. Yeah, wrong. Like they're in it. Thought it was stars. Yeah, it's just a, yeah, it's an interesting, I'm excited to watch it.
Starting point is 00:39:28 But yeah, the back and forth between players and fans in the NBA, I think that's the most personal. Cause you are in, I mean, I'm getting rebounds. Yeah. I'm getting a ball. I'm handing it to an NBA player. Here you go, you got this right here. That's like, oh, no, bitch.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Like, Detroit, the visitor seats in Detroit, it's literally like the size of a space like think about the seats on the bench, right? It's literally like a space where they took a seat out and then it's fans right there. Yeah They're like on the bench almost it's like I don't know if they change it yet But like that's the way it used to be That used to cause a lot of issues with the chirping back and forth because it's like, I don't know if they change it yet, but like, that's the way it used to be. That used to cause a lot of issues with the chirping back and forth because it's like, they just being fans, but like you too close to be that animated as a fan. Like just even if you're not saying anything to me,
Starting point is 00:40:15 I'm going to be annoyed that you're this close to me. Yes. For the thing. And I hear everything that's being said. I can hear everything that's being said whenever I'm down there. It's like, so you gotta act like you're on, the guys don't though. I'm happy they don't. I'm happy they're able to get into a zone where they don't even think about people
Starting point is 00:40:31 being two feet away from them while they're bitching or complaining or talking shit. Cause you could potentially feel guarded. Cause like, I have no idea who this person is that has a camera on me, two feet away from me. But you, it's an interesting sport, man. I'm very fascinated by the NBA. Obviously making a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Those courtside tickets. Yeah. Those things are pricey. There's an access cost now, but they get right up in action. Like you said, they right there. Yeah, I was in it. It was a lot of money we paid,
Starting point is 00:40:57 but I mean, we were definitely on the page. So, Bauer, Cliff were like, I think late great Kobe Bryant. I think it was Chris. Kobe and Chris Rock. Chris Rock was like, probably like, this this just time Kobe's just locked in. He's I mean, he wasn't talking shit. He was probably trying to say some funny shit and just locked in.
Starting point is 00:41:11 So yeah, being that close to the actions nuts. And he was saying a lot. It was like him and David Spade. David Spade's like pissing his pants laughing about Chris Rock is saying. And he's going, he is not even plenty. He didn't even play. There it is. Do we miss it? No, no, no. And he's going. Kobe is not even flinching. He didn't even flinch. There it is. There it is.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Did we miss it? No, no, no. It was zoomed in. Oh, what? They going to show Kobe? Kobe is not even there. Jeez. That's like Matt Barnes, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:37 That's Matt Barnes and Kobe with the thing. All right, let's talk a little bit of Laker, shall we? Go ahead, D-Bud. Yeah, I don't know if you saw the clip of Luca being a guest on Mane Game Pop, but if you haven't, we got it right here. I want to get your opinion on it. I think it'd be unfair for the audience if we didn't ask you off the bat
Starting point is 00:41:52 what it's like playing together, how you feel playing with LeBron. I know you looked up to him as a kid and now you guys are teammates. I mean, it's great. You see, I've never played a guy like this. I, you know, just being traded to here, to LA, it was different. But just to play with guys like him, like it's unbelievable. Like I could learn so many stuff, you know. First of all, off the court, you know,
Starting point is 00:42:16 all the things he does just to be ready for the game. And obviously on the court, everybody knows what kind of player he is. What, like, give me an example of a couple things you've seen, like, being around him every day, where you're like, he does that, like, what's he doing over there? Like, is there anything that stands out initially
Starting point is 00:42:32 where you're like, wow? Well, first of all, he shows up like 10 hours before the game, so that was really the main, like, I was, what? I came to the arena. For 22 years? He was already done working out. I was like, what? I just got to the arena. He was already done working out. I was like, what? I just got to the arena.
Starting point is 00:42:47 He was already done working out, D-Buddy, is what Lucas said. Yeah, that's crazy. So like, did you have an experience like that? I guess seeing it from an OG, seeing how they work, something that changed it, because everybody comes to the league with that elite talent. But what is like the difference, or what type of impact you think this will have on Luka going forward?
Starting point is 00:43:03 I think it'll be very positive, man, to be able to see, you know, get a look behind the curtain to have on Luka going forward? I think it'll be very positive, man, to be able to see, you know, get a look behind the curtain to see what somebody like LeBron, who's been doing it for 22 years, who's known for being in the best shape and keeping his body right and being one of the most best-conditioned guys ever to play.
Starting point is 00:43:18 And that being something that, you know, that Luka, that they have highlighted that Luka needs to work on, I think it should be great for him Being able to watch him and learn from him and see what he's doing for me when I came in that person was Absolutely, it was Ray Allen when I came in I saw you know, I got to the gym one day This is when we were playing and you get to the arena and it's like We were out there already like they out there with the with the with the you know, the little slam team the people is doing The the flips off the trampolines he didn't
Starting point is 00:43:46 Getting the cheerleaders out the way he was there that early and I was like I saw that I was like damn You know like Ray Allen like going crazy with he here like for he getting here before the home team and he was this Was when he was on the road he was coming to LA as a visitor and I'm like yo Like he already here so like then once I saw that like I changed my routine like all right cool I'm gonna get here before everybody so I could get all of my shots in nobody else is out there getting working you could Get through your routine and get your stuff down and get your fill in and being you could go back and chill you can get You know a hot tub cold tub ice whatever you want to do get your mind, right? But you don't got to worry about going out there why the other team is out there this thing you can do whatever you need to do if you get there early enough
Starting point is 00:44:27 So that's what I took from that Is there a chance that Luca had no idea that you're allowed to do that? Is that real or no like he said he's never seen that before like is there a chance that Luca saw for the first time? I was like what cuz I think Jay will told a story on here about playing against the Lakers It was the Bulls versus the Lakers and Kobe was whatever I forget what time it was in the morning at the thing. And Jay was like, jeez, I had no idea you were even. So then Jay will try to come earlier. Well, Kobe just set him up.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Kobe came earlier the next day or whatever the case is. It feels like you hear some of these legendary tales from the basketball world, but is there a chance that Luca didn't fully understand that that was like allowed? Like how does that go about being? I don't think at this point because at this point everybody has their own facility you go
Starting point is 00:45:08 in the facilities 24 hours get shots late at night do different things so I don't think at this point but I mean I don't I don't know maybe he didn't but I could see for real J will back in the early 2000s it was different being like Kobe probably had keys and nobody else had had you know saying flex did nobody like back then Everybody didn't have their own facility and it was different things now in this day and age Literally everybody has their own facility and different things to facilitate literally going to gym 24 hours a day now That's a big difference from when I first came to league in 2008 everybody like
Starting point is 00:45:40 Literally, we we are our practice facility with the LA Clippers Pat by like, literally, our practice facility with the LA Clippers Pet, Southwest Los Angeles Junior College in South Central LA. So you understand me. We did not even get to take showers after the practice. We had to put towels on our chairs and on the seats of our car and ride home
Starting point is 00:46:00 for wherever you gotta go and get your shower there. It was like, I'm telling you, it was wild. I don't wanna judge too much, but I've been in that area. I don't think you're even allowed to wear Clippers colors outside there, right? Oh no, it's very, you know, you like, listen, you had to know what was going on.
Starting point is 00:46:15 You had to understand what was going on out there. Like you pull them out and it's like, sometimes we would be getting out of practice, the school is getting out and it's like, they like, yo, ooh, they on the car, like ask them, I'm like, who is this? and it's like, they like, yo, ooh, they on the car like, ask them one, like who is this? And it's like, you can't like, it's like, you gotta be kind of cool.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Cause we come in here every day, you can't be in here being no, you know, no asshole and tripping. Cause then it might be a problem. So it's like, we were really in the hood with it. Like that was a different time, literally. Yeah, now Balmer built up the Intuit Dome and everything that's going on there. And in most toilets out any arena and in the entire
Starting point is 00:46:48 NBA we appreciate the hell out of you Q Rich you're the man yes sir anytime fellas ladies and gentlemen Quentin Richardson showing up South Central LA shoot around at a high school gym. I guess I shoot around I guess it's practice. Yeah, don't a sterling football. Hey All those people getting out at once too Oh, that's a nightmare jumping on a star the thought of just an acid mark rolling through your high school. What the who is I? Did hear Donald Sterling was going to all those practices. Oh, yeah He had a place right there. Let's pivot away from the NBA and let's go to some magical stories that are happening in the golf world. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us
Starting point is 00:47:30 from ESPN, he has the best southern accent you've heard since McGee. Ladies and gentlemen, Marty Smith. Hey Marty! Never Saddle, how you doing? What do you say boys, how y'all doing? I hope my signal holds up. I'm out here in the country. I'm driving back to Charlotte from Dirty Myrtle. Took my son down there. He's working the Carolina Country Music Festival this weekend. Slinging beers, moving around heavy stuff, doing all the grunt work. And to be 19 years old with all them pretty girls for four straight days that boy's living right. Yeah down at Myrtle Beach too. I mean that is a I don't want to say that is a white trash paradise but I will say as somebody that would be potentially considered from a white trash place
Starting point is 00:48:18 heading down Myrtle Beach is always a great time. I'm jealous. I have never had a bad time in Myrtle Beach ever. I don't think ever. So good luck to your boy down there at the concert. Let's talk a little bit of golf I see you holding a golf ball You might have just got off the course down there in Myrtle Beach a lot of great golf courses down there US open What was that Augusta? Oh You bought me to figure out how to do this the right way. There we go. Wow. That's a $700 ball right there. That's unbelievable. Don't lose it. Don't put it in the woods.
Starting point is 00:48:45 Can't hide money, Patty. You can try, but you can't do it. You live it every day, big boy. Don't put that ball in the woods. Okay, somebody will come scoop that up and act like they're you. Let's talk about the US Open though. Yesterday, I believe there was nine qualifiers.
Starting point is 00:48:58 I believe there's 12 in total because there's one in Asia, there's one in Europe. Obviously there's one in Ontario that was held yesterday. Nine different qualifiers. Obviously the big story was coming out of Columbus, Ohio, where Homa, Fowler, Young, were all battling for a sixth place finish to get into the US Open. That came down to a missed three foot putt actually,
Starting point is 00:49:19 and those boys are missing the US Open. This is a great time of year, and how do these guys get into these tournaments? You just gotta show up? Is that what happens, Marty? How do I get into this US qualifier that happened yesterday all around the country? Well, you gotta qualify to qualify to qualify.
Starting point is 00:49:36 And US Open's 156 players. Of course, it's at Oakmont here next week, a place I'm sure you're very fond of. Incredibly hard golf course, maybe the hardest in the world, depending on who you ask. You have to be so precise there. I'll tell you, if Scottie Schefflerfellas is not the, if he is not such an overwhelming favorite, like we're talking Tiger Woods at his highest powers type of favorite, then they're not doing it right.
Starting point is 00:50:13 This place, it demands precision and right now his precision is just historic and remarkable. So yeah, it's golf's toughest test every single year and this year will certainly be the case. Yeah, I think the rough at Oakmont, US Open. Oakmont obviously in the East Hills of Pittsburgh, right there near Plum. Okay, it's in Oakmont, which is a different town, but it's right next to Plum. The majority of the course is in Plum. Yeah, a lot of Plum representation there at Oakmont. They got rid of Oakmont East We told the story a thousand times. That was the public course that was next to Oakmont. That was a good time They had a 18th fairway that was downhill and straight long way
Starting point is 00:50:55 You just get trash bags obviously in the winter break into the course. You're flying down Oh, it was great. That's all I mean you're talking about great time on Oakmont East They have since demolished Oakmont East made Oakmont bigger batter and better and of course is a beautiful one And it's going to test everybody you talk about Scotty Scheffler being amazing and obviously we talked about the qualifiers yesterday Did you hear about the dentist here from Indianapolis, Indiana? Matt vote actually qualified for the US Open. He's originally from Seneca Valley, which is in western Pennsylvania. He grew up when he was in college trying to become a dentist out here in Indianapolis, Indiana. He caddied at Oakmont. His father passed away two months ago. Obviously,
Starting point is 00:51:38 the US Open at Oakmont is on Father's Day weekend, and he's Nick Moraldo's actual dentist here in Indianapolis, Indiana. You're talking about a magical story there. That's what the US Open, I think, kind of is though in the lead up. It's like, hey, no matter who you are, if you play great and qualify, you can maybe change the trajectory of everything. And this dentist might do it, Marty Smith.
Starting point is 00:51:59 Well, I loved seeing his emotion in the aftermath of qualifying for the tournament. Throughout the entire post-round interview, he was doing everything he could not to break down emotionally because it's one of those moments where you have a dream. You let the dream slide a little bit and go fix people's teeth and do root canals and give them crowns and whatnot. Now here you are you're gonna be playing against in the same field with the best players in the world and that's the magic of that event and I just can't wait to see what he does
Starting point is 00:52:34 and how his story unfolds throughout this next week. I guess it's next week but just fabulous it's one thing that that makes that tournament unique. And if anybody happens to have an issue with gum recession during the week, he'll be able to take care of it. Yeah, obviously. And hopefully he'll have his little ax pick thing that everybody hates seeing gumming in their mouth. I mean, nobody really enjoys the dentist experience.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Is there anything worse than that? I mean, there are very few things in the world that make you more vulnerable than sitting there like that. Yeah, just like that. I was gonna do it, but I didn't wanna end up on the internet. You're on there right now, Marty.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Nobody would do that to you. Nobody would disrespect you. Nobody would ask Grock to make it look like Marty is at a dentist's office right now with his mouth open, getting a drill pounded down in there And you gotta have good vibes because nobody's coming to you happy Nobody's going to the dentist because they're happy always miserable and the schooling to become a dentist impossible They could do like actual doctor shit. Oh, yeah, and then they get you're not an actual doctor your dentist
Starting point is 00:53:38 It's like well I just want the med school basically for the last four years to do this entire thing and while he was doing med school He was still able to keep his golf game at a level where he's qualified for the U.S. Open. I don't know how. Me neither. I mean I don't I don't know how he was able to do that like if you you have to if you're a great golfer who's a Sunday or who's a weekend hacker who's scratch or a plus or even somebody who can you know be a sixth handicap you got to play all the time and if you're somebody that's good enough to do what he's done I don't know what his I can't wait to learn what his
Starting point is 00:54:14 schedule was yeah legit I mean that's a real question on how he's able to figure it out and I don't I don't know personally but there can become a time where he's like I don't want to be known as the dentist guy who's gold I just want to be judge off my golf it's like well bud you spent your entire life focusing on something other than golf and you're still in the US Open that is worthy of being told congrats to Matt Vogt now he's not the only one to qualify that's an insane story as we're running up on a hard out here go ahead Ty yeah Marty what about the 17 year old kid Mason Howell who shot 63 63 to qualify?
Starting point is 00:54:46 Do you think we'll see anything special out of him? I mean, I can't imagine any 17 year old is gonna be able to take on Oakmont with how long it is and the rough and Everything but what do you think about this story? I think it's amazing I mean, my son's 19 and can't get out of bed and tie shoes in the morning. So My son's 19 and can't get out of bed and tie his shoes in the morning. And now he's down in Myrtle. I can't wait to see what that kid does on the 8th. Have y'all ever heard of a 300 yard par 3? Get out of here.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Like what? What are we doing? That's classic US Open. We're going to be down in your world here starting tomorrow. Don has a quick question for you. Yeah Marty, quick. Any must go spots or must go to spots down in Raleigh when we're down in the next couple of days?
Starting point is 00:55:32 Oh, I didn't know you guys were coming to Raleigh. That's awesome. Are you coming to see us? I might be able to come over. So I got to see McGee and I are going to Nashville, Tennessee to the CMA Fest. We're going to interview a bunch of country music singers on the Southeastern Conference Network. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:49 And so we'll be tearing up Nashville while you guys are in Raleigh Wood. Raleigh Wood. Make sure you get you some Q, all right? Get you some North Carolina barbecue. Okay. Look, vinegar Q is the best cue don't let anybody steer you different I respect Texas I respect Kansas City all
Starting point is 00:56:10 y'all are great but we make it the best down here all right we will definitely try that here's you at the dentist by the way shout out to grock no open mouth you're the greatest Marty you're the man Guys, I know we got a hard out. I just passed in 1987 I rock Z with tee tops and white letter BFG's on it When I start making that Pat McAfee money that's gonna be in my garage, baby That's like I mean, you know speaking of the bees that guy's been to dirty Myrtle Daytona Beach That guy's been to Dirty Myrtle, Daytona Beach, and he's been great. Ladies and gentlemen, Marty Smith! Yeah! Hot boy!
Starting point is 00:56:47 Dirty Myrtle's awesome. The best. I've literally never had a bad time there. Nope. What a wild place. Everybody understands what the deal is, too. That's why I like it. Good luck to Marty's boy.

Starting point is 00:57:54 The NBA final presented by YouTube TV begins June 5th on ABC. Hello, beautiful people. And welcome back to our humble abode, the Pacer Dome. On this Concafe Eve Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, hour two starts now. Sports! Somebody tweeted me that and I think it was a good call. The Pacer Dome.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Can't be the Thunderdome of Oklahoma City. Oh, that's a great point. Somebody tweeted me that, I wish I could give them credit. Somebody sent me a tweet and said, Don't you think maybe Thunderdome not good this week? And it's like, you're right. Welcome to the Pacerdome, baby. I don't know what Pacerdome kind of stinks.
Starting point is 00:58:36 It does stink. And we all, it's more so like, Oh, you think we're new to this Thunder shit? Nuh-uh. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I Pace her Pace Welcome to the pacer down brother We I mean pacer Welcome to the dome there. It is great to be here.
Starting point is 00:59:06 We can't thank you enough for allowing us to do this for a living. We talk about sports every single day, and we're thankful that we get to do that. We are the luckiest people on earth because you decide to watch or listen wherever the hell you may be. And we'll continue to do this for as long as you'll show up.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Speaking of showing up, tomorrow, we'll be in Cary, North Carolina, live from TST. And it is going to be a glorious few days as we find out who's the million dollar team taking on the soccer tournament. Is it everybody else or is it concava SC? Our team's ready. Our team's rolling. Our team's experienced.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Our team is getting paid. Sure. My team is getting paid. It's fair. And our team's ready to take on this mountain, this beast, that is the TST. And I want to let you know, when these boys get rolling, and Jeff Cameron back right corner there, we kept him on the graphic just strictly because of what he's meant to the team over the last two years, he will not be playing.
Starting point is 00:59:59 What? What? Why? On man. He has a lower body. Oh, that's bad. I got an upper and a lower body Captain America That's bad. Yeah, we got a couple we we got two lower bodies the upper body between two of us So they got dip that's real bad man
Starting point is 01:00:13 Then we got 18 players ready to go though 18 players ready to roll ready to roll Mike Foss Ready to roll JJ watt took a shot at Mike Foss the other day I think it did put a chip on his shoulder about the size of his brain I don't think that's what JJ said JJ was talking about the size of his head just as a whole the fore part of it And then the brain in there is just so big. He's ready to get he's in shape. He's in and I've been told by Zano Garella Hasn't stopped working since last year Wow.. So like last year he was getting into shape.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Now he's like. He's a real hard soul. He also owes us. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, he tried to tear the entire team down. But I think he understood when he looked in the mirror. He was in the middle of training at that time. He was all discombobulated.
Starting point is 01:00:55 It's also in his blood. You gotta give him a break, it's in his blood. Yeah. TST is a soccer tournament that happens in Cary, North Carolina. It's seven on seven, it is electrifying. It is a smaller field. It is two halves of 20 minutes each, 40 minutes in total.
Starting point is 01:01:08 Running clock, let's keep this thing moving. There's no offside and it's unlimited substitutions. Now, sub cannot step foot on the field until the person steps off the field. Red card. If you step on the field before the other person is fully off the field. Had to put that rule in because the first TST subs were happening real loose.
Starting point is 01:01:28 You know there was like eight guys on the field, nine guys on the field. So they said you can't come on the field until the other person is completely off the field or it results in a red card. What that does is open up some, you know you got some real shots. It's an electrifying style of soccer and it only ends with a walk-off. It's called target score time. If the leader has two goals going into the target score time, which is the end of regulation after 40 minutes of play, then the target score will be three. Even if they're up two to nothing, the other team can come back and score three goals and win this thing. You're never out of it and the only way to end the game is by somebody making magic. For instance, this is three on three at this point with a goalie. That's our Arena League boys. That's our TST team player, meat feeding Huff. Me with a torn hip flexor and Gumpi after his second yellow card going in and
Starting point is 01:02:13 celebrating alongside the boys, the Arena boys, the outdoor boys as we tried to chase greatness last year in carry. We'll try to do the same thing this year. Key rules, no drop kicks or pun about a goalkeeper. No slide tackles. Make sure they monitor the slide tackles this year. I have heard that in our preseason scrimmages, pre-tournament scrimmages last night, there was three of them our team played in. Reports coming to me that we had three guys that slide tackle members of the other team.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Let that go. Get it out now. One of the guys actually potential two footed slide just set the tone. We're just looking for consistency. Cleats up? Yeah, two footed, cleats up. We won't say who it was. I think we all know.
Starting point is 01:02:55 Yeah. Then there was also a, I believe there was a little bit of a, it was not Gordo. There was a little bit of a mix up, I do believe. I believe the boys are. Okay. That's why they call it friendly. The boys, it was but it was not and why are the boys are squirrely the boys are Big greasy out there if you don't have a little bit greasy I think there was a couple greasy plays by the boys But hey, I don't know what they did to us sure for us to answer in response
Starting point is 01:03:19 I was not there obviously I was a money in Iran Tulsa But if you do not have a team to pull for in TST, which I assume is not many. Yeah, I know everybody's a fan of the agency. Have already been pledged. I understand that. It's big TST. There's a million bucks on the line.
Starting point is 01:03:33 You're going to be able to find this all on ESPN Plus. You're able to find these. I believe I'll probably be commentating most of the Conkafe games. I assume I'll have a microphone near me. Owner, you know, I got to make sure the boys are doing what they're doing. But if you don't have a team, we would welcome you to the Concafe club. We would welcome you to Concafe SE.
Starting point is 01:03:50 We're a team you're going to like. Physical team. Physical. Explosive team. You buy jerseys? Is there merchandise available? There is merch. I believe there will be Concafe merch there, which we are very thankful for the TST folks
Starting point is 01:04:01 for hooking it all up and Mike Foss being on top of it all as our general manager of Concava. Our team's explosive, our team's very talented, and our team will fight. Like that is, that has been set. Our culture is we will fight. Maybe even each other. Bingo. We'll fight each other, we'll fight the other team. We are a scrappy group that you're going to want to get behind and we have the best chant in all of TST. Oh oh oh conque-fa. That's me blasting one home. Look for more of that in target score time and let's uh let's continue this conversation. The Talks at the Tables here at boss Conner and at Ty Schmidt hearing good things about Stephon Diggs up there at OTA. Oh yeah great things I mean even off the field a lot of people still thought they were great things just
Starting point is 01:04:42 some people viewed them a little differently than others. But yeah, Stefan Diggs looks fantastic. Good vibes, teaching a lot of the younger guys. And you know, I think someone said he's six months and 25 days removed from his ACL tear. And he looks extremely fast. Here he is with K. Sean Booty and they're going around the cones and he's moving. Yeah. He's catching up to him. He's beating them around those cones. So vibes are very high. New England Drake Mayhew was also 14 of 16 yesterday. Okay, and stats in these are gonna be tough to keep up with because who's practicing what, who's in where,
Starting point is 01:05:13 is this the first time they're running a play, it's hard to just go off of stats and OTAs because you have no idea who's working on what at that time. Because there might be some DBs working on some new shit, so they might get cooked. Now there also might be something the quarterback's working on where he might be missing a little bit. So it's hard to just judge specifically off of stats
Starting point is 01:05:30 and OTAs. You gotta watch the film. And the film that I saw, Stephon Diggs, not just out of practice, he posted something on Instagram of him working out. He's out of an ACL right now, and obviously everything else that has been talked about very much so. It's unbelievable how fast, explosive, quick, and his hands are just so seemingly spectacular
Starting point is 01:05:48 all the time. Yeah, a lot of times there's always a lot of other shit around like wide receiver ones specifically, but when it comes to the work and the work ethic like Stephon Diggs is up there, Tier 1 always has been in his recovery, what he's been doing down there with Sharif from day one down in South Florida recovery.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Now, I love seeing him back with the squad on the team. You just build that camaraderie, you're in the meeting rooms. Obviously you're in a new place, you're getting used to your quarterback, the timing, things like that. And then I'm not sure who he was on the sideline with, I think it was Baker maybe, number one. And just kinda, you know, school him up,
Starting point is 01:06:21 teaching him some things, saw the same thing with Puka and Devante. Like those are the most valuable things for this time of year for the vets, being around the young guys and just dropping that game on them day in and day out. Yeah, there's Puka and Devontae and Puka will be a sponge. If we know anything about Puka,
Starting point is 01:06:34 Puka's not scared to ask questions, he's not scared to listen, and he has enough ability to adapt anything that Devontae's giving him into his game. That is quite a duo over there in Los Angeles that I just got reminded of with Matthew Stafford spinning it with Sean McPhay's big brain and the run game that they had down the stretch in a playoff. Good luck to the Rams. Going back to Stephon Diggs I think everybody thinks about him at
Starting point is 01:06:54 the Bills and then it ended then it goes to Houston he obviously gets hurt. When he was playing with Houston he was playing well. Remember CJ Stroud was doing it again and he had Stephon Diggs and Stephon Diggs gets hurt. When he got hurt what was it? I believe he was seventh in the NFL in catches? I'm not sure how many touchdowns he had but I know he had two week one in Indianapolis So if people acting as though he was, you know bad last year And I think that might have been because the Texans and him agreed to a one-year deal So he wasn't playing on big money
Starting point is 01:07:23 But he was seventh in the NFL in catchers and CJ Stroud was top five in passing yards and we saw kind of what happened in the middle of the season with the Texans where they kind of fell off and then completely went to you know Joe Mixon and Grant and Nico Collins also got hurt but acting as though Stefan Diggs is just some schlub now is a little ridiculous and if he can get one or two I mean anytime you get into a very public relationship that's gonna happen yeah people are gonna attack you yeah I mean that's what it is but he's built for yeah Stefan Diggs is built for it he is very much built for it you're talking
Starting point is 01:07:56 about on the field I am I'm saying like when the contract was signed and it was three years 69 million dollars and everyone was like what an overpay and then of course after the fact that comes out, you know, it's really a one year deal with 15 million cash and a bunch of incentives. But when that happened, I meant is when everyone was acting like it's so, look, the guy likes to be on a boat and have some fun.
Starting point is 01:08:15 Who doesn't? I do. Okay, but he just happens to be Stefan D. They said it was Himalayan sea salt, baby. Yeah, it could be. It's also international waters. There's no laws out there. Yeah, it looked like a good idea.
Starting point is 01:08:26 When they gambled out there, he wasn't, because he wouldn't do that. He wouldn't want to jeopardize the game. He just wants to have a good time. Himalayan salt makes more sense. It could have been because I think there was a chef on board. It's healthy for you. It's healthy for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Cotty? I mean, whatever the case, him playing football, he's unbelievable. That is, and you talked about how wide receiver ones, every once in a while there's going to be a, hey, you're gonna have to You have to deal with that. Yeah, what's that? Oh, he's dating one of the biggest stars on earth It's like that's either good or that's bad. How do you view it? Well, it's like well in the offseason whenever there's some free time there's probably gonna be stuff that isn't necessarily This is how a robot should operate as a professional football player
Starting point is 01:09:01 But then whenever Cardi B's coming to the games, Yeah, exactly. And she's like, craft up there, John Bon Jovi. Bingo. You know, and all of a sudden we got that thing rolling. It's like, I'm happy for Stavon Diggs. And I hope he knows how great he is and I hope we get a chance to watch it. You know, I hope we keep the main thing, the main thing always, because of how great he can be and everything else. Go live your life, brother.
Starting point is 01:09:22 One half of the hammer, cowboys, AP, Tony's here. You You look great brother. Thank you. Appreciate that. No problem at all. I uh, I think your cowboy hat thing needs to stay you remember he thought about stopping Remember he became baseball cap. Yeah, he didn't want to become like a one trick pony. I think you look good in a cowboy Thank you. I appreciate that. Um, I did look myself in the mirror after you said that I I've been on a cowboy hat run here now We're traveling this week. It's a real pain in the ass. Yeah, the Cowboys need to figure out how to travel with these things Yeah, I thought you did you got the cool magnet thing. Yeah That's a lot and then the backpack thing that got sent to us. It's a lot of space
Starting point is 01:09:58 You got a lot of things. Yeah, and because you got to keep the thing inside of the hat You can't even fill the bag with other shit. No, it's really just a full bag for one hat. Yeah, it's a tough. It's a lot. It's a tough maintenance This is summer the ventilation up there. Oh the straw the straw. Yes, that's a Memorial Day to Labor Day situation, brother Yeah, it's like white pants. Yeah when you put that on like and then the other one is felt felt Yeah for the for the for the cold months now that particular Style of brim. Yep. It's called something. Yep it is. Twang to the right. No. I think it's a JB brim I believe. Yeah there's a bunch of different styles you walk in there and they got them all laid out. I think it's a JB. What haircut you want
Starting point is 01:10:35 on this thing? Do you want any of the rope around the front there? You can really get uh you can really up. Oh they like. Oh yeah shaping it. Oh yeah. Heater, I think. Shhh, in the back, heating that thing. Yeah. A man who needs to wear a cowboy hat, maybe. Amen. Yeah. Got a chance to see him at the end of the day. Thought he did a fantastic job.
Starting point is 01:10:53 Very thankful for him traveling out here to host this show live from the Pacer Dome, from the Pacer Dome. Ooh! Got a logo! from the Pacer Dome. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo He changed his name to Steelers stall week of the Ravens did they wait? That's a great idea Did they wait that's a great idea that was Ben's time, but yeah He was stealing a mayor stealer stall this week and the Steelers won So when I read the tweet of the person that said are you sure about this Thunderdome taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder? I was like, you're right. You should be a Pacacer done like fucking Raven stole this guy. You're right now with that being Dude I don't know if any bears the favorite of Pittsburgh
Starting point is 01:11:56 You gotta remember Pittsburgh is not like the most yeah, you're doing a great job Company or outfit they went crazy when he announced that though boy made a whole declaration I do believe I think there was an entire from this point forward whereas I will be known as Steelers tall I believe that some people still call him Steelers. I would is he still the mayor Steelers? No, no, no Yeah, I think he who is the mayor. It's a great question. I think it's a mark Aboli joining us now Ladies and gentlemen live from an attic in Ohio, College Football National Super Bowl champion. I hope not. I'm happy I pulled that Ravenstall thing there.
Starting point is 01:12:29 That feels pretty good. Did they win? Yes! 2009 was. They won a Super Bowl. Yeah, exactly, Pacer Dome, bro. But did they win Ravens Week? Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Yeah, they won the AC Championship to get to the Super Bowl. Steelers stall. I think we're actually scared. It was either the, when the one where they beat the Cardinals or lost the Packers. I can't remember. Whatever the case, whatever the case, we still made it. We still beat the Ravens.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Steelers stall, but it was a double vector. Ladies and gentlemen, AJ Hawk. Yeah, Hawker. You got your hair out. I saw it yesterday. Maybe we just grayed that thing all the way out and just threw the fool on one of you. Nah, you know, getting the ass,
Starting point is 01:13:04 just trying to get a haircut is a tough situation. Keep it the Thunderdome. Don't worry about it It's about us. It's not about that. You know, it's never about the other team. Do you stay you? Did you not hear the Steelers tall story That almost that almost pushed me over the edge made me think all right, maybe this is a genius idea But no, I think Thunderdome is fine I can only go off my own experiences So when I see the mayor change his name and it's a success or I just think to myself Maybe we should think about whatever we'll vote on at the end
Starting point is 01:13:34 Maybe Carlisle something with Carlisle we can do. Oh, I'll call it the Carlisle dome right now. Cardome. That'd be sweet. I like that Yeah Carport is that that's where the real advantage is in the series Rick carlo carlo versus dago. No, like that's the one That's not that's that's the one that's how you say that was an elaborate scheme to say dagan though You know it was Yeah, you saw your opportunity. You took it. He seized it and that's disgusting That is not his name.
Starting point is 01:14:05 You guys reacted, made me laugh. I just, you know, just real quick, though, just for legitimate purposes. This was a real thing. That is Mayor Steeler's stall. Okay. I mean, yeah. All right. Hey, look, there's action news right there.
Starting point is 01:14:16 KDK is on it. They're here for KDK. You know, that's where, you know, many greats were including Sally Wiggin. Have you heard about Sally Wiggin? And she might be WTAE actually. Um, Sally Wiggin, big you heard about Sally Wiggin? She might be WTA actually Sally Wiggin big fan of the program. Yeah. Yeah, we need to know that she was a big night out She was that jelly roll in post one. She was there. Yeah, that's awesome I was trying to figure out what to say to the Pittsburgh crowd about how everything great comes from this place
Starting point is 01:14:39 So I talked about Iron City Talked about from Annie's I Talked about Joe Nardo. Rest in peace. Obviously, everybody had a quick moment. So Sally Wiggett, one of the big pop fedco big pop can pop. Yeah, I should have put pomp in there to mention Kenny. What? I had a hat.
Starting point is 01:14:58 Can you add on? Did you see it? Did you see the Kenny would have and it was on the big screen? Yeah, so it was it was speaking for itself. Everybody knew what the hell I was talking about shot Steve Littleman Kenny would insider for us What do you mean what's that he's there's insiders for amusement parks. Yeah, he's worked there for so long He kind of knows the ins and outs of place, you know He knows what's happening Steelers spent a day at Kennywood the other day. I saw that of course they did People in the park after seeing them some of the Steelers at Jelly day at Kennywood the other day. I saw that. Of course they did. They're trying to get people in the park. We know that. After seeing them some of the Steelers at
Starting point is 01:15:28 Jelly Roll and Post Malone I'd like to say Steelers might win the Super Bowl. Hell yeah. Steelers might win the Super Bowl. Herbig this guy big fan of the way he operates just kind of how he goes about doing what he does. Keanu as well. Keanu absolute dog. They are the Guardian Cap generation. I let them know that. I let them know that they were the ones. What did they say? I said it's your generation that became the Guardian Cap generation. And there was no response.
Starting point is 01:15:55 There was a lot of loud... I heard there was a response. There was a lot of response. They just pointed out that some teams use them more and the Steelers happen to be one of those teams. No, the Steelers happen to be a team that doesn't use it. Oh, no, I believe I believe They said one team used them more than any other team. Yeah, they said they did the research in the Colts had the most It's cuz we got the smartest team. That's not real. Yeah, I mean like most guys wearing him in gameplay Is that what they mean? Yeah practice and gameplay whatever the case. It's 33% Is that what they mean? Yeah practice and gameplay whatever the case it's 33 percent
Starting point is 01:16:31 Exactly did a math you start adding up to that 66 percent. That's 200. That's 133.333 That you kind of get 66 you don't get and then you double that obviously you're up to 132 ish And then all of a sudden, holy fuck now, you know, you're playing football bingo run your head into anything now Now it's just you're basically using your shoulder your Your head's not even existing in the entire thing. Why are we not wearing guardian caps in cars? I am. Oh, Mark. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen,
Starting point is 01:16:55 Groc student. Yeah, seniors. Groc can do anything, I learned. And I'll tell you what, people got real creative. Real creative. It's dangerous. They got real creative out there. Now I'm seeing Grock ask for permission to do things.
Starting point is 01:17:10 Like somebody asked to put, you know, Michael Cole flexing last night and in a tank top. Somebody asked to put some terrible things on a picture. Like what? Hitler mustache. And Grock goes, I'm not going to do that. And then I think you guys says, come on. Grockos I can do another mustache And it's like I can't do also Grock has some there are boundaries I respect it'll put me if you work around it though. Could you work around it?
Starting point is 01:17:31 So hey, put give me the mustache of Michael Jordan had in his Hanes commercial back in the day I Can that could that get around the parameters Michael maybe I don't know why don't you try why don't you get in there and try why don't you give yourself? Could that get around the parameters? Well done. Michael, maybe. Why don't you try? Why don't you get in there and try? Why don't you give yourself one of those? Let me kick the tires on Grok a little bit.
Starting point is 01:17:51 Give yourself one of those. Shout out to Michael Cole, by the way. Jacked. Jacked. He is jacked. Good. Absolutely jacked. I saw the internet did its thing with him.
Starting point is 01:18:02 My favorite one that somebody sent me, I don't know who made this, I apologize for not giving credit. Grandma, show me those big muscles. And obviously, yeah. That was incredible. That was absolutely incredible stuff. Shout out to Michael Cole doing that, especially in Oklahoma. You know, and I heard there were some people
Starting point is 01:18:16 that are maybe pretty against this happening. Who? Yeah, just some people potentially against it happening. I'm very thankful for Triple H going, oh no, no, no, you are definitely wearing a tank top out there. And Michael Cole's been running four or five miles a day for seemingly the last couple years, working out.
Starting point is 01:18:32 Now he does have a little bit of a gut. He's an older gentleman who drinks a lot of beer. Yeah. Okay, so that's gonna stick around. But you can tell that he's really working on it. He's jacked up. Yes. And the Oklahoma City people reacted
Starting point is 01:18:43 in such a beautiful fashion. They were pumped for him and then they were booing him It was a magical moment. He does look Jack though. He does he should have stood up to go through his damn self I agree now that I'm thinking about it. It's built like that. He's Michael Swole Well, I'm thinking about how good Gunther is he just ragdolled Michael Cole Yeah, pick them up and scooped them up and put them in a choke hold start the entire thing Shout out to Michael Cole and shout out to TJ McConnell. That's game worn jersey.
Starting point is 01:19:08 A little tight. I think TJ has seen it. Yeah. From what I've heard, there's been a positive reaction with DJ McCall. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is a senior insider for the NFL. We have a Kennywood insider now joining us, senior NFL insider for NFL network. Ladies and gentlemen, the host of the weekly wrap up with rap sheet and friends us being our friends He'd be in rap sheet ladies and gentlemen, Ian rap
Starting point is 01:19:31 Okay, so hi guys I have some questions actually two questions one and I don't mean this in any sort of shot at microhole No, I really don't I'm just curiosity. He shaved his armpits for that pose or is that a normal course of action? Oh, I don't know. I didn't even notice. Let's zoom in. Like look at the armpits. He's like, you know what? I'm gonna pose down get me the Bic or you know, whatever your razor of choice is and maybe people don't use Bic's anymore Give me the Gillette like I don't people are gonna see the armpit. I can't have that happen shave right away And then let's go. Is that what happened? Interesting. He might be a guy that doesn't have armpit hair though either like a lot of no
Starting point is 01:20:09 I don't have a lot of armpit. I don't either and he has no chest hair Yeah, I don't have a lot of armpit hair, but I got yeah, I got back hair and chest hair So I got like a lot of chest hair. I got back hair. I don't have like prominent armpit hair It's not like a thick armpit hair. So maybe he just has like a lighter armpit. Like a naked colerack. I call shenanigans, no way. You're saying he shaved his pits. Well done.
Starting point is 01:20:31 100% I would- Bodybuilders do. Yeah, isn't that like a WWE Superstar thing? Definitely. Or he could have waxed or laser. Also options. So WWE and bodybuilders, very normal to shave whole body correct have tans a little bit Ocean on listen a little bit in it. Yeah, he didn't do any tanning or glistening
Starting point is 01:20:53 I see so I don't think he was preparing too much, but he certainly has been working the upper body Okay, let's move along. What is your shirt saying? Yes, it's a boob. Oh Put it in the books Met shirt Let's go Mets Big Mets win Big Mets win last night I was sleeping but
Starting point is 01:21:11 Uh, one against the Dodgers and Extras I saw online people were saying it was a battle of two super teams And to that I would say, yes it was Okay, Michael Cole, massive, massive Mets fan as well I think you guys are what, the second best team in the league. I Mean, I don't know what the standings say. I don't know. I would say the best Tigers are the first Yes, I think they're second best then other league They're good. That's your third. Let's see me the end. Oh, okay third best team in the record was
Starting point is 01:21:39 Cole follows every pitch every at bat. Love it Unbelievable this guy stinks every two seconds, just outbursts from him falling. During the broadcast, he's got like the mini. Yeah, during the broadcast, if it's a big game, he is certainly checking down and being dramatic about it too. Like head into-
Starting point is 01:21:59 That's awesome. Yeah, just in the middle of like- You gotta understand the psyche. Like we've been through me and Cole and the rest of us, tortured met fans. We've been through a lot and now it's getting good. And so like this is the time to get emotional and really feel it. Now in September, we'll probably be feeling it some more.
Starting point is 01:22:16 It's those playoff games are a lot very stressful. But I look forward to it. Well, I appreciate the fact that you just say you're a Mets fan because you get free seats for you and the family from the Mets, so you have to kind of do the gimmick. I appreciate that Uh, I I if they want to give me seats, I will for sure take them How about opening pitch? How about an opening pitch? You do it? I did that already how to go Crushed it. It was during covid. It was actually ridiculous. It was during covid fauci and Uh, I had to wear a mask and my wife.
Starting point is 01:22:46 I did. It's on the internet. My wife had to be my catcher. Cause at the time the rules were no, like there could be no cross contamination. So she's got some game, but she was so nervous that I would like bounce one on her shins and then she would be,
Starting point is 01:23:02 look at that. Yup. Well, go back. I was so nervous. Yeah. Oh, my God. You couldn't get right on the rubber. So like you can get in front of you.
Starting point is 01:23:13 Who said that? I'm like, who said? Yeah, I'm good on the grass. Oh, yeah. The wraps. Big hug. Success story. That's a pretty good throw. I was so nervous. That's got a little good arm.
Starting point is 01:23:23 And he does it. We got a little arm. He's got pretty good throw, right? I was so nervous. That's got a little good arm, man. He does have pretty good arms. He's got pretty good little arms. Oh, wow. He's got pretty good little arms. I brought my catcher's mitt, because you know. Ridiculous. If you had to do it again, would you have worn the mask? Or would you have gone up to the rubber?
Starting point is 01:23:36 What are they going to do? They're not going to attack with you. No. They might. What if they would come up and got mad at you? You would have been like, ha ha, took the mask off? I do not. Oh, yeah. I do not need that. No, the problem with going up to the rubber is it naturally makes the ball sink like just a little. So instead of here, it's like, and the last thing I need to do is have a fix
Starting point is 01:23:59 that is not catchable for my wife. That would have been very, very bad for me. I think they need to get you back out there in front of the whole crew without a doubt yeah and you need to get up on that rubber show those pearly whites and you need to throw gas you need to try to make a register heart was like I don't get nervous about anything and I was like out of breath I'm like this is how people feel just drink your way through life you're not gonna get nervous I had a couple beers before yeah of course of course all right let's talk a little bit about the NFL, shall we?
Starting point is 01:24:27 The Carolina Panthers released some draft footage that was spectacular. And I think there's a lot of pieces for us to chat about, but if you haven't seen, this has come from the Carolina Panthers, from draft night, most specifically pick number eight. Some trade discussions going on at the time, but I was kind of hoping that the trade would fall through because I really wanted to take T-Mac.
Starting point is 01:24:47 O-liner tight end at sevens, our guys might be able to. Let's just hold off and see if the Rams fall. I'm wired and you guys can see it on the blueprint video like I want to trade up I want to trade back like I want it like I just want action. When Mason got picked I knew we were gonna have an opportunity to trade our pick. We had we had action. It's kind of big for us. No pressure, though. It's fine. It's interesting. I'm fine.
Starting point is 01:25:09 So the Rams wanted to come up, and when you're coming up from that far, or you're moving that far back, the compensation becomes a lot trickier. Do you know where you want to go? I can tell you something. I do. No call, shit. Oh, hang on. What's up, man? Do you know what you want to do? I can tell you something. I do. No call, shit. Oh, hang on. What's up, man?
Starting point is 01:25:27 What do you got? Before we went on the clock, before the draft even started on Thursday, we had to figure out, like, okay, it's going to take this for us to move back to 26. So it's, hang on, it's, hang on, eight? We're on the clock, and the Rams are asking, hey, do you guys want to do this trade? All right, let me collect it. What did they say in their sentence? We had a little bit of trade stuff going on
Starting point is 01:25:52 that we were kind of working through. They would have had to give us the moon for us to trade out of that spot. It's still not the same deal we talked about. So for me, it was no different than free agency or even doing an extension. I'm just following a script and a plan. How does that compare with this room?
Starting point is 01:26:10 Would you do this right now? Yeah. The one we offer? Yeah. Would you do this? Yeah. OK. Either they do it or we're just going to call it.
Starting point is 01:26:18 OK. We will do the thing that Dan had proposed. OK. Good. All right, they're talking now. I can feel my heart pounding. Eric leaned over to me and he was like, this is like a multi-million dollar decision for us.
Starting point is 01:26:30 I'm like, okay, great, thank you. There's two minutes left. You know, I remember looking up at the clock when he didn't get picked at seven and he was there, like it was like boom. We already knew what we were going to do. There's this question of what's going to happen. Okay.
Starting point is 01:26:46 All right. They're out. All right. Team Act. Let's go. We like Team Act. What I saw out of that video is a lot of things. Brandt Tillis, I believe is his name, the executive VP of football ops, has a lot of
Starting point is 01:27:01 say and is very chatty. Morgan, general manager there, is actually consulting with him throughout the entirety of it. I think what they were waiting on was a full haul. Like, hey, if they're going to offer us something that we can't refuse, we'll do this. But instead, let's get TMAC. You saw Canales, the head coach, offensive guru, on the far side of the table, like, yes, let's go get TMAC.
Starting point is 01:27:22 What I noticed, though, was there's one point they looked at Tepper to get an answer Tepper didn't say shit All anybody has said about Tepper is that he's hands-on hands-on hands-on two hands. He's two hands He's too involved to involve. He's not letting the football people do their thing We just watched in the biggest moment for their franchise first round pick top 10 pick He just sat there and let everybody do their jobs I think if you're a Panthers fan, you love everything you saw there. Do you agree, Rap? And what were they looking to trade for there?
Starting point is 01:27:48 Okay, first of all, I do agree. I noticed that too, like Tepper was right there. You could tell obviously like in tune with it, but let them do their thing. Dan Morgan and Brent Tillis have a really good relationship and you could really see them kind of feeding off each other like Tillis with the numbers, knowing kind of the value on the phone with the trades.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Morgan being like, all right, if we're going to do this deal, you know, I really felt like they wanted to pick. There was all this stuff before and about like Panthers are open to trading, open and trading. Obviously they were, but like TMAC was a guy who you could tell, like they wanted to pick, they would have had to be blown blown away they didn't get their deal very quickly TMAC I thought that was a cool moment the Rams were the other team they were on the phone with them and There have been you know some rumors about the Rams potentially coming up obviously those were real
Starting point is 01:28:36 I believe TMAC would have been either the choice or very much in consideration You know which is so interesting because I think the pre draft process, at least like the rumor mill wasn't really kind to. Devontae, Puka and T-Mac? Right? I mean, but that's how, think about how highly the Rams had to consider him to be willing to trade all the way up. Like that means they think he is a true number one elite guy. And for the Panthers to turn down what they no doubt had to turn down from the Rams, you know that they think that too. And I think to me that kind of puts it in a little bit of a different light as far as like how highly thought of a prospect he was. I love that clip.
Starting point is 01:29:22 Yeah, I do too. I appreciate all the teams giving us access You know This is like why hard knocks kind of lost its luster because all the team social and digital Content teams are giving us access to shit that we've never seen before Watching the four power players of the Carolina Panthers make the decision in real time on what they're doing Obviously watching it back, but you get it. That was beautiful. And if you're a Tepper, hey That was awesome to watch right trick I guess a lot of trust that's like a lot of trust if and I think that's where like you know people talk about owners meddling
Starting point is 01:29:53 which I hate that term because they are the owners like they should do whatever they want really agree that's what I was about to say if I'm Tepper sitting there and we're doing that whole song and dance and I'm like can I also do you feel he's like I love T Mac Morganals, how do you feel? He's like, I love TMac. Morgan, you can tell, wanted TMac. He's general manager of the team and then we're waiting for Brant Tillis, okay, who uh, I agree, very very important, but watching them all just kind of let them do their thing and then like process it and get to the end it's like that seems like a very sound operation that feels like what the
Starting point is 01:30:25 Carolina Panthers were considered two years ago year and a half ago bingo complete opposite and from just that clip and uh feels like it's going to work out good for them go ahead AJ yeah Ian uh Frank Ragnow announced his retirement after seven seasons from the Detroit Lions did you know this was coming did the Lions know it was coming I assume they had an idea and like how do you you know, was it one injury that put him over the top that he was unable to come back for? We listed all the different things this guy's played through. Yeah, I mean first of all, well, let me get to your question first. The Lions knew was coming that you know, he's been absent from OTAs.
Starting point is 01:30:59 I think there was some like does he want to do contract like the Lions knew he was weighing should he play? my understanding yesterday was he was truly broken up about it like this is a Warrior like I remember two years ago. Maybe last year. I think was two years ago. I got word that he had Had a suffered a serious injury. I believe it was a rotator cuff something that obviously is a guy's out for the season. So, you know, I kind of get ready, I make some calls and I talk to somebody close to him and I'm, you know, talking to Lion sources and they're like, Hey, hang on, like don't report that. I'm like, okay, but like, obviously, you know, it's serious.
Starting point is 01:31:36 And they're like, it's Frank Rag now. Like he wants to come back and play. And like for any other player, not any other player, but a lot of other players, I'd be like, okay. And like he came back and played in four weeks and I mean that's what he was like I mean this guy was like the heartbeat of one of the NFL's best offensive lines So they knew I think he knew he's been through so much. He's played through so much It seems like his body was just like it's time
Starting point is 01:32:01 But this was as people might say a dog. Yeah absolutely. Congrats Frank. Hell of a career. When people think of your name they think of a guy who's tough and played the game right and you're obviously there for the transition from the old Lions to the brand new Lions so just kind of epitomizes everything the city's about I think Foxy. Yeah 100% the epitome of a Detroit football player. Tough, gritty, always showed up, played for his teammates. The fans loved him. Everything you wanted in a football player, Frank Ragnow, was that. We appreciate him so much. Definitely going to miss him this year. That's going to be tough. Yeah. And also old Lions would have asked him for 10 million bucks back. Yes. Sure. Uh, brand new Lions say, Hey, we'll celebrate you. Probably if I had to get, she'd afford. Hamp is doing things a little bit. bit of in the ring of honor immediately. He deserves it. Yeah have him kid rock Eminem Yep, Oh
Starting point is 01:32:47 Big Robinsons Robinson Posner Put him up. He didn't go through those shitty days to retire unless it was something super serious So I'm bummed for him, but very happy for his career and help. He's doing get him retired I think he's even gonna say like pose or bury me in Detroit, didn't he? Oh, yeah He'll say that they got married there and he loves fishing. So he's gonna be listening a lot of He'll be just fine I Mean his whole Instagram is like hunting and fishing like I'm I mean
Starting point is 01:33:21 I went to check cuz I had heard that he was gonna post a statement You want to try to be respectful and hope guys kind of do it the right way. No, I'm serious So like, you know you wait till he hits in Yeah, I mean the first sentence out there finally Jesus having said honest for me days Frank Two weeks or four weeks or whatever doesn't know you're so kind rap. He's so kind Hey now to my god, so to to your point though of what you just said about how good of a human you are Four weeks or whatever. It doesn't matter. You're so kind, Rap. You're so kind. Doubt it. To your point though, of what you just said about how good of a human you are, Rap definitely knew about my retirement. Rap was a part of my retirement press conference.
Starting point is 01:33:55 That was pre-recorded. And then four hours later, Rap didn't think I was worth it. So he just said, yeah, sure, nobody will say anything about this. And then he just moved along. and I respect that out of you I wonder I wonder how many I wonder how many Clicks how many retweets on it got have I have you ever looked on my because I had the initial tweet that you were Tied when it finally aired yeah, I'd say probably 15 to 20 of them. You know I mean that was a long time ago That was a long time. I didn't even have a picture off the look there wasn't shit going on that Super Bowl week though
Starting point is 01:34:25 I do remember that my retirement became like a Thing it happening on Comedy Central is also quite a moment. Yeah, you know Hey guy retires from football on Comedy Central with Barstool up there I think a lot of people thought it was a joke, you know, like why would this idiot partner retire? It was like, you know what? I Think it's time and boy there was a a couple times I thought it was a stupid decision. I will say, you know, as we're starting. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:50 There's been numerous moments that popped up early there that I was like, what am I doing? Why am I doing this? It's so, so much work. Everything is so much work. But then obviously in the end can't be the guy that retired early, made a big stink out of it and then failed. You know, so that can't happen. So had to get a good group of people around me and we had to continue to put the nose to the grindstone. Just like we know Frank Ragnar will and whatever he chooses to do.
Starting point is 01:35:12 Is he going to be one of these Ironman offensive lineman guys that goes down like 185? Yeah, I actually saw a comment on his Instagram. One of the boys on the team said, Hey, I can't wait to see you nice and skinny in the off season. So that'll be awesome. Then rap sheet. One more thing on that note. Have you known about this long enough?
Starting point is 01:35:27 They definitely drafted the guard out of Georgia for this reason, knowing they had to replace him. I don't know. I've known about it for a couple of weeks. I don't know that they specifically knew about it that long, but that makes sense to me. Like if you- Oh, you knew, but the Lions didn't.
Starting point is 01:35:43 Sure. No, no, no, no. I don't, what I mean is I don't know that they knew. no, no, no, no. I don't I don't what I mean is I don't know that they knew draft was like two months ago. I don't know whenever it was one month ago, month and a half ago, whatever it was. I couldn't even guess. I mean,
Starting point is 01:35:54 yes, five weeks seems like a million years ago on Thursday will be five weeks, I believe. All right. So I don't know that they knew for five weeks, but like, he played through so much. They had to know that it wasn't going to be forever. So like, I don't know they they knew for five weeks, but like he played through so much. They had to know that it wasn't going to be forever. So like, I don't know if they specifically draft them to replace him, but they knew
Starting point is 01:36:10 that a replacement was necessary at some point. Perfect. Let's head down to Duval. Yeah. Jacksonville. I want to ask you a couple of questions about some players down there. Uh, first of all, Travis Etienne or running back had a dynamic first couple years, but kind of fell off a little bit.
Starting point is 01:36:25 Is he available for trades or other teams? And then a Travis Hunter update. What have you been hearing about him down in OTAs? All right. So ETN, he was available and sort of the subject of trade rumors last year, last regime. It doesn't feel the same to me. And I feel like this new regime is more like, like, let's get him in here. Let's see if he can be the productive back that he has been.
Starting point is 01:36:49 And hopefully, again, they have some, they have some good backs there. They have some guys who have, have really flashed, but it feels to me like more so than like, let's see if we can get into trade. It's more like, let's see if we can make use of this really, really good talent. Now, you know, you get to the trade deadline next year in October and it's not happening like maybe then, but I don't get the sense they really are going into training camp wanting to trade him. As far as Travis Hunter, I mean, it seems like it's been really good.
Starting point is 01:37:19 I mean, you know, it just, it seems like it's been really good. He sort of alternated a little bit between offensive defense, try not to overload him, try not to get him to do too much, but like a lot of juice, a lot of energy, kind of infectious. You know, you can sort of see this guy being, you know, I was going to say defensive face, but I don't even know if it's on defense, just one of the faces of the franchise very, very quickly, just like a magnetic personality. And as a player, I don't exactly get the sense that Jag's like, well, we overestimated,
Starting point is 01:37:50 like I think it's gonna be really good. Yeah, Stoner said this is a statement about the opportunity that we have here down in Jacksonville the day after drafting. Travis Hunter, one of the greatest promos I've ever heard from a football general manager on why they did the move that they made. But you're talking about, if you can bring juice to that city,
Starting point is 01:38:06 they're gonna be through a lot. They got a whole new stadium. They got, I mean, there's a lot coming down the pipe in Jacksonville. Feels like Liam Cohen, Stoner, Travis Hunter, and Trevor Lawrence, hopefully, are in it for the long haul. Good luck to everybody down there in Jacksonville. And ETN being available, hold the phone. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:20 Hold the phone. Or maybe not. The rap she kind of made it sound like, hey, we'll see what we've got. Yeah, rap gave the phones. Maybe not Raps you kind of made you sound like hey, we'll see what we've got. Yeah rap gave the classic Don't buy into this shit. Yeah, I believe to drive interest. I believe yeah Yes, you're trying to run up clicks this guy's your click. I do like my clicks He did that last he did that last week. Hey you asked about the clicks on the tweet that you put out about my retirement I think it had oh, yeah, and I do 5.1. Thousandets I was before yeah feels pretty big only two only two bookmarks I don't know if that bookmark was around back
Starting point is 01:38:54 it was not mark did you think keep it was that you no to be clear I didn't know that you put this tweet out until you reminded me of it right here I thought look at the time. 12 likes, dude. 12, 25 AM. Yeah, it was late night, brother. We were having a good time down there in Houston. I mean, I couldn't get into the restaurant. I couldn't get into the restaurant to do the thing.
Starting point is 01:39:14 I didn't have the proper band. I was outside in line to get in before the announcement was about to make. Like 10 minutes before it, couldn't get in, had to call somebody that had come give me in. I was like, thank you, Jesus Christ. And then I'm sitting on like 10 minutes before it couldn't get in had to call somebody they'd come give me in I was like thank you Jesus Christ and then I'm sitting on stage ten minutes later and then couple minutes after that I'm standing next to PFT as we're signing out and maybe that was it next day PFT goes hit me in the balls as hard as you can and I'm like what I mean it was a full on, it was the greatest. You did it?
Starting point is 01:39:48 Oh yeah. Absolutely. Right as the show ended, cut to black right after that. It was as soon as it ended there. I'm like, PFT, this dude is a genius. Absolute. I love this man. That old Barstool writer learned so much about so much.
Starting point is 01:39:59 And he started with an Ian Rapport tweet. Wow. That's what I'm learning. Wow, what an honor. History. What an honor for all of this. Okay, let's move to some other moves that are potentially happening right now. Tone has a question for you about his beloved Steelers. Yeah, Rapp, a couple things about the Steelers. In a shocking, shocking turn of events, I saw a report today that Steelers are not considering trading for John Ouse Smith now. That was a shocking turn of events there to see that never could have called that one
Starting point is 01:40:25 And then there was a report also that Gabe Davis is visiting the Steelers That one actually does make some sense. What's the situations there? Yeah, so the Steelers have been over the last couple weeks You know It's it's hard to find players now like honestly a lot of the really good ones are gone the ones who aren't Are older guys who were kind of taking their time and not in a hurry or just out there for a reason. Gabe Davis is a little different was cut late. So like a good player who is available and really cheap, like unbelievably cheap because he's do so much guaranteed money in Jacksonville that It's complicated. But basically, like no team could give him enough money to make it make sense so he's gonna play for the minimum. Russ Wilson. Yes
Starting point is 01:41:10 exactly wherever he goes he's gonna play for the minimum that's an amazing deal the Steelers have been looking for not a tight end per se but another target like John and Smith like I would imagine Kyle Pitts Gabe Davis makes sense like they've been looking for someone else And he is really really taking his time But this this would make a ton of sense and like the feel I get from the Steelers is like Kind of loading up, you know, like doing like all the resources all the spots everything you can obviously There could be a quarterback there at some point. Hopefully soon, maybe before the end of the summer.
Starting point is 01:41:49 But that's what it feels like kind of loading up to make one more run at it. On that note, Ty, as a question for you. Yeah, Raph Sheet, any update on the Aaron Rodgers situation? I mean, everyone just assumes he's going to Pittsburgh. What are the Steelers saying to you? Yeah, because as each day passes, it kind of seems like there's a chance he's not going to go there.
Starting point is 01:42:10 And then if that were to happen, would they look at Kirk Cousins or where are we at right now with Rodgers and the Steelers? We're sort of, unfortunately, where we were, which is them giving him... He's dealing with his personal stuff, them giving him his time, them hoping and believing that he is going to join them and be their quarterback, but not 100% knowing. I think it's crazy, but there's been nothing to push that. This time next week, when the Steelers are meant to join Minicamp, maybe it changes. That might be interesting.
Starting point is 01:42:42 That would be a time when it would make sense for him to go in, sign if he's gonna sign, get his playbook, go home for the summer. Find a smoothie. Everything's good. Yeah. I mean, so that's my thought, and that makes the most sense,
Starting point is 01:42:58 but it is Aaron Rodgers, so I would literally rule nothing out. Okay, well, whenever you find something out, let us know, okay? That'd be nice if we got a little piece of information from your side, because we're not hearing anything from AJ's side either. So we don't get a chance to really-
Starting point is 01:43:11 Well, hold on, he's here. We're just not, he's not sharing with the class. It's circle time and AJ's not sharing. Agreed, that's kind of what he does in this situation. But I would assume that AJ would say, oh, no, everybody really knows what's going on with that whole deal Yeah Ian, when you said he could sign by next week because of mandatory minicamp
Starting point is 01:43:30 Is that just your personal opinion or are you hearing something from Steelers brass that maybe I'm not hearing anything from the Steelers Is what AJ just said is this you just making up another deadline? Is what AJ just said is this you just making up another deadline rap? What's this? This is my well, I've been playing a lot of golf anyway But this is my personal hope to just so we're clear like I would love I'll tell you the best case scenario for me Yeah, first of all, I break it. That would be really good second of all I am in my studio ready to go on TV and talk about it because that would be really good if I'm like
Starting point is 01:44:04 Somewhere not available or like phone service is bad, like that, yeah. I mean, that's, you know, I'll be paying very close attention, whatever happens. Cause you gotta make sure you're ready for TV cause that's a pretty big, pretty big thing. Yeah. Now that you're, now that you said that to this thing,
Starting point is 01:44:20 he's going to follow along with your life. Just pre tape it. Oh, he's at the Harry Potter Awards Museum or something. Oh, that's a great place. Where were you at? The Pez Dispenser Factory or something? The Pez Museum was great. They did a great job.
Starting point is 01:44:31 I actually got to reload because we got, we left with buckets of Pez, but we've since, you know, eaten all the Pez, so we need more Pez. Really? Who's doing that? Because don't you send your kids out of the house for six months or whatever? So that's you and-
Starting point is 01:44:43 Yeah, but they eat beforehand. They crush candy. All they do is eat candy. It's terrible. Okay, Jesus Send them to the woods eat candy say it's kids gonna be check. No goddamn rules in that. Yeah, right All right before come on. No, they're rules No, I'll give you they saw you not go up the bump and they said I'm all listen to this Yeah, that's what they said. This guy's throwing from the grass in front of the mound. Okay, that's what they said I saw Max and Jude said how could I take you serious that you threw for the grass with a mascot? That's what they said. They were so no, I don't think they cared actually
Starting point is 01:45:13 I mean it's just like they were just like alright good job. Now is it what are the end? We love you rap There's some more contract conversations happening. Yeah, perhaps you what's going on with all the rookies? I believe basically everyone has signed with a few guys still not signed yet, but the big one being Shamar Stewart seeming to have no end in sight with the Bengals. Is that still the case? And is Trey Hendrickson looking at this like, I mean, you're not going to pay me. Why don't we just cut this guy and give me all the money? First of all, there are, I think all the top 10, most of the top 10 guys have signed except
Starting point is 01:45:52 for Patriots and Jags. Travis Hunter is gonna be, that'll be interesting. That might take a bit, we'll see. There's some, it's complicated. He's practicing though. Yeah, I mean, I would be's just there's some. He's complicated though. Yeah. I mean, like I, there's, I would be surprised if there's a holdout. There's almost never holdouts.
Starting point is 01:46:14 But that just might take a minute. As far as the schmarch to it. Yeah. I mean, it's my understanding it's a language issue. And the fact that he's not practicing is kind of the thing that gets me. And it sounds like there's a language issue as far as what he might sign in the waiver. Because like not the contract, but just the waiver to make sure he's covered. If something happens while he's practicing without a contract, it's weird, I have to say almost never have you seen this. It's just, you know, it's annoying because like it should be all buttoned up, but instead here we are talking about it in June, he's still not practicing.
Starting point is 01:46:47 And I don't know if that's beneficial for anybody involved. Yeah, but you know, there's some business angle that is smarter than everybody else in the history of the NFL, you know? Sure. Somebody's got to figure it out. Somebody's got the game figured out. And with Cincinnati Bengals, you know,
Starting point is 01:46:59 the business conversation, whenever you try to take angles, they don't love that. No, not at all. What's going on with Trey? Is that even still a thing over there? What's going on? What about TJ quiet? Why is that even a conversation going on? Yeah, that is a conversation going on I know that the the mark I reported some things of the Pat McAfee show and WWE contributor mark
Starting point is 01:47:22 Oh, he said that Steelers made an offer to TJ what there is currently there in middle of negotiations basically. That's true. Yeah. I think they would like to I think that they think they would like to get it done. It doesn't sound like they're particularly close or imminent. And like the Steelers because of the way they do things that a lot of teams have deadlines and like the start of training camp is sort of impetus for a deal.
Starting point is 01:47:48 Because the Steelers cut off negotiations right when the season starts, deals do not happen during the season for the Steelers. Sometimes it can mean right up against the start of the season is when deals get done. We've seen a couple Saturday before the season deals for the Steelers. I don't know that this is going there, but I just know it doesn't feel like there is anything like imminent or urgent. I just know he's really good. He deserves more money.
Starting point is 01:48:13 That market has gone crazy and he should get his share of it. It's just sort of unclear right now how much of that share of it he's going to get. And obviously Micah still out there as well. I know Brianott and iam was saying today expects Micah to show up for Mandatory minicamp. I would expect that too players don't give up guaranteed money anymore. Um But that's I you know, those are two outstanding contract issues All right Well, we'll follow along on at rap sheet on x and I believe you're also on Instagram and we found the the the angle of your
Starting point is 01:48:47 throat it was cute you and your wife were just having a catch basically at uh look at that I mean that's a strike okay that's a that is a strike basically yeah lefty swings at that maybe you know yeah no we're not doing that's not a strike yeah lefty swings at that I think because it was a sinker. You see it? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 01:49:09 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh right there. I think at the end was a knuckle ball. It was, it was more of a change piece kind of outside corner for let it lefty swing over it. Change piece. First baseman on you're the best. No catcher catchers. That's worse. Pop time. Pop time. Pop time. You're the best. Ladies and gentlemen, Ian Rappaport. He's the greatest. I just got a had said how do you guys do this without football this is every day Yes, it is when yes it is. Let me tell you how we do it
Starting point is 01:49:52 Open a prayer when rap was speaking about the Rogers thing. I almost had to take my ears out me too Yeah, I was about done with talking about whole same answer There was no new answer in there. For three months. And AJ trying to just figure out what are the Steelers leaking out so I know what I'm allowed to kind of talk about this entire thing. It's interesting, it's fascinating. You know, I did see Mr. Rooney, I did see Omar Khan yesterday, did not feel like it was the right time to get you know all the answers. Would have been cool if they would have gave them to me though. Wouldn't that have been cool? It would have happened cool. It was a cool to see all your like old teammates you play with it was great to see
Starting point is 01:50:30 Edge gave a speech great speech. Yes edge gave a great speech Great he's followed a very serious speech so like edges placement of speeches whenever we were looking through the itinerary and this uh I don't know what this is called the uh program I guess yeah the pamphlet the program whatever it is as we were looking through it saw edge was giving a speech didn't know who the two people ahead of him were and one person uh got sick I think like the morning of the day before so they subbed somebody in so did not know who was speaking very good very serious speech right before edge go and then edge went up there and just Brought the house down. Yeah, absolute home run. It was great to see him Ty grits you why Chuck Bruce were there?
Starting point is 01:51:14 You said someone else gave a speech to right that was like, you know, Jim would want this to be a much more Pete Ward Pete Ward gave a speech because it was there was a very serious speech right before Pete and then Pete went up there and was like, Jim would want this to be a celebration so I'm going to try to do that and told some stories about how, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, when COVID happened and you know central Indiana here all the restaurants were like about to shut down so he sent Pete Ward, he said I want to give a thousand dollars to every restaurant in central Indiana. And Pete goes, excuse me, every restaurant. He said, we need to figure out a plan to get a thousand dollars in cash to all these restaurants so they can at least make it another month.
Starting point is 01:51:56 And then I guess Jim said, what is there like 150, 200 restaurants or whatever? I guess there was 550 or something. Like thousands. Yeah, thousands. I'm sorry, like thousands of restaurants. And he was like, I don't even know how, how are we gonna get the money to everybody? We'll figure it out, we'll do something. And then I guess he backed off it a little bit.
Starting point is 01:52:12 Then he found an X contest to give away like 200, 300 restaurants a bunch of money to pay for their bills. Then when the Maui fires happened, he was like, we need to figure out how to get envelopes of money to these people, all of them. And then whatever Pete went back to him with an amount of people that are potentially I don't know how we're gonna get it Logistics yeah the logistics like everything Jim heard about literally that was the big thing yesterday like everything Jim heard about was like I gotta help like that is like a day. I mean talk a taste of the prime exam He's gonna fly he's gonna build a bird get a plane to fly a whale across the country.
Starting point is 01:52:46 $20 million he was about to spend to flip a bomber plane into an aquarium to have a killer whale flown from Miami to Seattle. That's the longest possible American flight that you could have. The longest possible one to get Takate back to her family up there in the free waters of Washington. You know, this is a Buddhist whale, man. Talk to Tay lays low. I heard about her.
Starting point is 01:53:08 She's stuck in this thing. Should she be stuck in this thing? Absolutely not. We need to figure out a way, probably to Pete Ward, need to get this whale to Miami, to Washington. And then Pete goes, I think we could take one of these bomber planes and make it in a quick,
Starting point is 01:53:22 love it, brother. Let's go ahead and do that. I mean, it was just like one of those stories after or not, like everybody there was just like, Jim heard about blah, blah, blah, and decided to give everybody their 10,000 bucks and told them not to tell anybody because of all the deffer,
Starting point is 01:53:37 like the amount of people that he has helped, I don't think whatever, you can never, nobody will ever know. Like you'll never know. And that was what yesterday was, it was a celebration of music. It was a celebration of giving back. And it was also morning alongside a family
Starting point is 01:53:50 that is now in control of an NFL team. And I think they're going to do an incredible job. It was a beautiful day celebrating, Jim. Beautiful. It really was. It was great to see everybody. We'll continue digitally YouTube, BSPM plus, Disney plus and TikTok live.
Starting point is 01:54:01 Tomorrow we'll be live from Cary, North Carolina. Goodbye. It's gonna be good to get down there. It's gonna be so, is it gonna be as hard as it was last year? I believe so. That's what they're saying. Mid-80s I think I saw. Yeah, last year was so, so hot.
Starting point is 01:54:13 Humid as well. Not used to the humidity, yeah. I'm bummed out I'm not gonna be able to play, you know, cause I got another body upper body. You gotta get in for no good. You might get out there. You might start feeling good though, once you get out there. Yeah, you need my boots.
Starting point is 01:54:24 I don't even think I have cleats. You're not bringing boots. I don't think I have cleats. You got extra boots. What about from last year? You got boots from last year. Borrowed some of Gump's. You can borrow Gump's. So I think in bus, there is a pair of cleats. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:37 That's literally the only hope I have at this point. Cause I went through, I have, um, I have some, uh, my cause, my cleats. Yup. Paints that are at the house for the brand. I have that was Jake Bailey who did that. Shout out to him. I had wish for our heroes I believe is my brand. It was it was good paint job. I mean, it was good cause and then there were some other military ones. So those are like at the house. Those are the only cleats I have, which is crazy because when I was kicking I had like maybe 50 pairs of
Starting point is 01:55:09 cleats playing soccer growing up just the amount of cleats that just kind of gathered. So literally like two days ago I was like, all right what if I do feel like I can get out there and just do one pass. Just like a quick bang in the bow. How you doing? I was like, all right where are my cleats? Don't not even, don't even have a pair. I'm like, God damn, I'm an old man. We can run to a Dick's down there. So I- Are you a brand new cleat guy?
Starting point is 01:55:29 Can't get red ones, I can tell you that. But I don't love the brand new cleats. I'm not going to be wearing red boots. Don't you worry about it. There's only one red boots. Exactly. Gold boots, perhaps. Yeah, but the brand new ones,
Starting point is 01:55:39 my feet are so like built up, like it wouldn't ruin it, but it would be so uncomfortable. What about like Zat Knight? Do you think he has an extra pair? I'm sure some of the boys. Somebody asked me, you wear a pair of 11? I was like I'm a 12. How about an 11? I'm like well I told you my size so you probably guess 11 is probably gonna be a little small. Like I could wear 11. Gonna be real tight. Okay how about an an 11 it's like 12 would be much better but uh yeah I could bring you some 12s I can bring you some 12 football
Starting point is 01:56:08 cleats can't wear football cleats cuz that spike in the front brother top you we saw it off very legal people did used to try to run it down that was a way back like youth I think it's the baseball has the front cleat yeah metal too yeah football has the front cleat now that have the front cleat okay that's like the turfs what's has the front cleat. Not let have the front cleat. Okay, that's like the turf. What's the reason? What's the reason? I don't know. I assume there's some sort of health or injury thing. Stepping on toes. But also I didn't love the front one to kind of caught, you know, especially with soccer. Everything's about
Starting point is 01:56:38 that. Like, Mackenzie, she will definitely play soccer, no matter if it's her best sport or not. She will play soccer just strictly because the feet like they have a control of your feet like I think it helps out a lot And that whole thing and the cleats are a big part of that was a kangaroo leather. They started putting on those cleats Yeah, that was the big top drawer. That's what they claim. That was a big evolution You can tell you can tell by the feel if they're kangaroo or not. Yeah, sure. I had to fake this last year I'd fake not knock off plates last year. Yeah, we fucking those were You can tell that's what you want. Don't be marks. Kangaroo used to be the one it had like a run I'm like what so
Starting point is 01:57:16 This kill kangaroos to make soccer cleats Yeah, why is the kangaroo leather so much better than every other leather and who found that out first? Who's like? All right. All right, you're dead mate. Come here. You cunt. I'm telling you and make you clean fatty There's a compliment that was not a makes him out of like lion skin or something or gator So that would be not good. You see because the gator lion. They look sweet though Gator tiger tiger skinator skin boots snake skiing Thanks again. So like the boots I got if I see cuz I got these Joey flax you should wear. Oh, he's But oh, yeah, there it is. There's the front
Starting point is 01:57:58 Yeah to Macfield His new he's got a new shed so it's it's always good Tim build a gazebo in ten days They're a bit a deck and a gazebo in about ten to it's off 14 days and then Then he turned it into his sheds because he's built another stuff out there. I put my talking out here He told me the boys play cards every day there says you play cards all the time Yeah, well, it's getting hard to go in there whenever it's all Tim shit You know just kind of laying out all around a goddamn Yeah, well it's getting hard to go in there whenever it's all Tim shit, you know, just kind of laying out all around a goddamn gazebo. He's just turning into another shed out there.
Starting point is 01:58:28 It's like, Tim, you built this beautiful gazebo, let's not fill it up with shit. There's a huge shed right there. He's like, well I'm building up the fucking bricks over here with you. I got the fire pit and we want to paint the bricks. And there's a little bit of a leak up here, you know how to get the caulking and gun out here.
Starting point is 01:58:43 I was like, is that done? Yeah, I got it. Has it been leaking? Do we need the fucking cocking on it? Do we need the whole thing? I could probably move it. I'll move it I'll get what you're saying. I'll get what you're saying. It's like just fucking piling up Came a shed quick. Yeah, it did. It's a beautiful gazebo. It's it's awesome. I can't believe he built that in ten days by himself Through bad weather to like windy windy conditions old he's an absolute weapon he's an absolute way yeah right now he's doing a full bathroom he's renovating a full bathroom at the house
Starting point is 01:59:15 see how one full bathroom yet actually he was climbing in a crawlspace behind the bathroom and he knocked the internet completely out of the house but obviously it wasn't his fault. They put that wire there and it shouldn't have been there. I mean, it shouldn't have been somewhere else. It's in the crawl space. It's like, obviously that's where the fucking wires are. He just crawls right over top of it.
Starting point is 01:59:35 Sally, my mom goes, we lost everything. I can't believe they put it here. Oh, fuck. Fucking bathroom's gonna be unbelievable. I think he's getting one of those JJ Watt toilets. We were talking about this yesterday. Those skills you're talking about that your dad can do my dad can like a lot of People can do that missed our generation like we have no idea what the hell we're doing dude. We got YouTube brother We don't need to know that shit. It's not the same. I didn't paint
Starting point is 01:59:57 I paid attention like Tim forced me to like I know shit pretty guy like I changed tire I do all the, you know, all the shit. Pire drill, right? All that shit. I can do it. I'm not like proficient. Like if you get me, you know, you get me with a hammer in there, or like I'm going to fucking hit my thumb, okay?
Starting point is 02:00:17 I'm going to hit my thumb at least one time. If you're asking me to do an entire project, thumb is gonna get banged at least twice, if I had to guess. Tim though, just knows exactly the right piece, the right size. Oh, this is Phillips head, but it's fucking two eighths or something, whatever quarter, whatever it is. He just knows that shit, cause they're in it.
Starting point is 02:00:36 You're right. I don't think any generation after Tim's generation. They don't make them like that anymore. They got scars too. They got scars. What, there you got a little piece of stuff you have to say. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:46 So they got scars from shit, but they know they have a very wide ranging set of skills. It's unbelievable. It is a good thing to be able to do. They don't like asking for help. That'll. You think we're bad. Just wait till this next generation with AI.
Starting point is 02:00:59 No, I think they're coming back around. Oh, I see. I think AI is gonna make everything so much easier. You think they're getting lazy. That they're getting lazy. That they're gonna do less and less. That those common things like, you know, hammer and nail drilling, all that stuff
Starting point is 02:01:12 is gonna become like obsolete then. I will say forever people should learn how to use a power drill. Yes. Okay, cause you're gonna at some point have to build something. And even if it's just kids toys these days. Let alone IKEA or anything else. Being comfortable with a power drill have to build something. And even if it's just kids toys these days, let alone Ikea
Starting point is 02:01:25 or anything else, being comfortable with a power drill is a skill that everybody should have, I think, personally. Saves your life. Saves you an hour on every one of those projects. At least. At least an hour. Because if you're doing this one or this one up underneath, you are in deep shit. That's a long afternoon, brother. Yes. That is a long afternoon. You built the dollhouse yet?
Starting point is 02:01:49 Oh, yeah. Zip, zip, zip, zip, zip. Tim built one, too, for McKenzie as a gift. Oh, yeah, that was a project. He built a six-foot tall. Those take forever. Zip, zip, zip, zip. In my garage, I showed up, and there's just
Starting point is 02:02:00 a fucking house in my garage. I'm like, what? I can stand in this thing. My dad goes, it's a gift from McKenzie. I'm like, how long did it take you to build this thing? Two hours, it was easy. And then I see there's classic Tim McAfee and there's a couple screws that are like,
Starting point is 02:02:16 through like two quarters. Yeah, like two quarters, you know, hold things together. I'm like, well, I'm gonna saw that down. Don't worry. And then there's not gonna be any splitters. Don't worry about together. I'm like, well, well, I'm gonna saw that down. Don't worry. There's not gonna be any splitters. Don't worry about it. I'm a saying that. Don't worry.
Starting point is 02:02:29 It's like, Tim, you're the best. Fucking answer for everything. No doubt. Needed to happen. We'll figure it out. That is Tim McAfee through to a T, but there's gonna be some Tim McAfee in there. You know, there's gonna be some.
Starting point is 02:02:39 Some character. Yeah. Some pizzazz. There's gonna be some. You're gonna know that Tim McAfee made it. Like for instance, this deck he was building out here, there was a time where that thing was... Getting off. Sure. That thing was downhill a little bit. It's like, Tim... Like, yeah, you're building the deck, but that's not gonna work. I'm balancing it out. I'm fucking lifting up the post here. Don't worry about it. And he did. And he did? And he did? And then we just cover that shit shit up Yep, and it's in there perfect nailed need those people around anymore of those people
Starting point is 02:03:09 I think there's some young bucks that can still do it all I hope so That's what they're saying now like going to trade school is like better than you in college. Yes Yeah cars, you know, like I know all these Electric cars and shit computer cars But nuts and bolts at the end are going to, you know, there's going to be that all the time. Let alone whenever you go in and they replace the battery. That's going to happen. I think someday they've been saying for that for like 10 years where you pull in, pull battery, upload new battery, then you're off and running. Like there's going to be a lot of lifts, the amount of lift, all this shit. Always going to have to be able to figure it out. Hopefully we're able to. Need a power drill though.
Starting point is 02:03:47 Yeah. Need a power drill. D-Butch, you got a power drill? Oh yeah. Connor doesn't have a power drill. Oh, I have a power drill. I mean, I took woodworking in high school. That's half the battle.
Starting point is 02:03:58 What was that called? Home Ec. Shop class? Shop. Wood shop. Shop. Yeah. A shop.
Starting point is 02:04:03 Home Ec was like cooking and shit. Cooking. Home shop shop shop shop home ec was Cooking we we so we sewed a bag in So the bag so the bag We made in home or in shop we made a birdhouse and then in home ec we sewed like a tote bag You know, it was like a tote bag. It's not sweet. I had a mama's camouflage had a big DX patch on it I took my gym clothes off. That's sick. Really? I don't think I ever finished mine, to be honest.
Starting point is 02:04:31 Hindsight, cause yeah, people did used to use them, right? These bags were like a good thing. Yeah, I couldn't do it. I couldn't figure out the fucking. The wheel. Yeah. Yeah. We had to make one of those chairs outside, the Adirondack chairs or whatever.
Starting point is 02:04:43 The leaners? Yeah, the ones out there. You made that in shop class yep all the saws all of it yeah just sand it down did you spray it sand it spray finished it put put that yeah nice lacquer on it yeah oh god damn lack I'll tell you what don't get into a lacquer conversation with Tim Mac for those actually his profession for two years well then why didn't he do it outside cuz it reeks of wool when it fucking rains yeah and also who's spraying the damn weeds out there in the mulch? What happened? We got bamboozled. Yeah. Hey we want some mulch.
Starting point is 02:05:13 Perfect. We can put that down. No problem. Two days later, we just grown up through all of it. No weed stopper in there. Can we put some preen? You gotta sprinkle some preen underneath that. I thought that just came with them Yeah, you would think if someone's doing it going sense would tell you well not that cup That was a different company has different go we'll never work with that company again We got our og company here that we need to work with their bone a lot They're mowing like two fucking six days a week. Yeah, crazy. I'm pretty worried about All of it sure I get up worried about all of it sure
Starting point is 02:05:53 Here every day guy was here today. Oh, yeah, this mind when I pulled it. Yeah, I don't their new base Yeah, we got a lot of grass a lot of weeds I think maybe they're just Probably takes two days to weed whack this place. Yeah, could you just kill the weeds? Can't you send something out there? You still got a weed waxer grass? Yeah, yeah, but they're not it you see them They're not they're not they're not doing they're on the got a mow the same strips every every day. It looks good It does it does feels like that might be an expenditure. It's a little bit of the expenses Maybe it's not that's why we're just kind of happy for what's going on. It feels like a little bit of a hustle How's your teeth my teeth? Yeah feel good. How's your teeth? I need to go to the dentist bad good news Ladies and gentlemen joining us now is a man who is a dentist here in Indianapolis, Indiana
Starting point is 02:06:41 He's actually Nick Morata's dentist out here what in Indianapolis, Indiana. He's actually Nick Maraldo's dentist out here in Indianapolis, Indiana. Wow. He's from Western, Pennsylvania Which is also the home of the US Open the US Open is at Oakmont in the East Hills of Pittsburgh This man just so happened to caddy at Oakmont whenever he was going to school to become a dentist out here in Indianapolis, Indiana now ladies and gentlemen Yesterday he is officially qualified to compete in the US Open Dr. Matt vote Going on doc. Thanks for joining us brother. Thank you for having me. This is truly surreal.
Starting point is 02:07:29 I don't even know what to say. It's been the biggest blur the last 12 hours or whatever it's been. If I look like I slept two hours last night, it's because I did sleep about two hours. Hell yeah, brother. You're supposed to feel that way. You just qualified for the US Open while also being a full-time dentist. Okay? And I know that maybe there might be a thought. And you have not said this. You're supposed to feel that way. You just qualified for the US Open while also being a full-time dentist, okay? And I know that maybe there might be a thought and you have not said this
Starting point is 02:07:49 I'm just saying that this happens in the world that we're in where it's like I would like my golf game to be talked about I'm not really worried about being a distraction for this entire thing becoming a full-time dentist the amount of work Okay, I understand that that dental school is that's like a med school Like you got to learn a lot more than just dentistry shit so for you to be able to get your golf game to a point where you're able to qualify for the US Open while also becoming a dentist that is incredible hey you should be very proud that's not easy brother that's not easy at all let's talk about that you played out here at Butler in Indianapolis Indiana I assume you went to
Starting point is 02:08:23 the dentistry school downtown Indianapolis for IU to become a dentist. You stick around out here. How often do you get to play? How often are you practicing dentistry? And whenever you found out that you were going to the US Open, did you think to yourself, man I should be a full-time golfer at this case and fuck Nick Moroto's teeth. Yeah, Nick, I know Nick waved his hippo rights by telling everybody I'm his dentist. So yeah, we take great care of Nick, you know, we're happy to do that for you guys too, you know. Smart. But yeah, I mean, I'm a late bloomer. So I mean, I played briefly at Butler. I quit to focus on school and really didn't pick the game back up again
Starting point is 02:09:01 until 2018. Just kind of caught the bug. And, you know, I'm very blessed. I have a great team and a great practice where I work, obviously. I'm blessed to work with another doctor so I can kind of try to play and practice where I can. And, you know, in dental school, no, there was very little golf going on in dental school
Starting point is 02:09:20 because it's a grind. But, you know, you get out in the real world and fortunately you can find time here and there and it's just kind of grown year after year after year for the past, you know, seven years or so. Late bloomer, late bloomer is a beautiful thing especially when you have knowledge from whenever you were a younger lad. Go ahead, Tone, who's from Plumboro which is obviously right next to Oakmont. Yeah, Matt, I was also a caddy at Oakmont for a summer. Unlike you, I didn't last six years. I got fired after one summer for getting too drunk one night, not shown up in the
Starting point is 02:09:48 morning. And they said, that doesn't happen here. And that's why Oakmont's Oakmont. And that's why Oakmont is Oakmont. You pay a lot to go off there. But how much does your time as a caddie there? Will it help for this upcoming open? I assume a lot of the guys who are out on tour, they're going to play a ton of practice rounds there and get to know the course. But being a caddie there, I are out on tour, they're gonna play a ton of practice rounds there and get to know the course.
Starting point is 02:10:06 But being a caddy there, I feel like, remember, I think it was like number two, where like, if it's a new guest there or something like that, you're like, oh, if you roll the bowl up here instead of going at a straight line at the hole, it's much better. How much is stuff like that gonna help you for the Open? Yeah, it's gonna be huge.
Starting point is 02:10:22 I think like, this has already been such a circus. Just like it's been awesome the last you know half a day since I qualified but just being able to go there and know that I like generally know what's going on in the golf course is gonna be huge. But that being said I've never played it in US Open conditions and the videos and and things that I've seen and what I've heard is that it's brutal. So, yeah, I hope it helps knowing the layout, but yeah, man, it's US Open conditions. So I'm excited to just see like what the heck's going on out there, try to get out there, you know, later this weekend and get things going. It's a beautiful story too. It's been chatted about and you got emotional when you were talking
Starting point is 02:11:01 about it. Obviously, Oakmont is the best course in Western, Pennsylvania Which is where you come from and the u.s. Open is on Father's Day weekend You just lost your dad a couple months ago rest in peace obviously to mr.. Vote absolute dog How do you think you're gonna be able to balance all that legit? That's a lot It feels like as a Western Pennsylvania Playing at Oakmont in the u.s. Open. that's a huge, that's a huge step, let alone all the other implications. How do you think you are gonna prepare for that mentally?
Starting point is 02:11:30 Yeah, it's, I don't know. Like I blacked out yesterday, honestly. Like I don't remember a dang thing, especially the second round. I think you just gotta try to stay present. I mean, honestly, I believe black and gold boys. So like yesterday I'm like, we're just trying to, honestly, I believe black and gold boys. So like yesterday, I'm like, we're just trying to talk about anything
Starting point is 02:11:47 but Oakmont and golf. Like who's the next Steelers quarterback? Who's gonna coach the Penguins? Like literally anything besides what's at stake. So we'll try to do a little bit of that in between shots and then just try to lock in, you know? I don't know what else to- Did you get the answer?
Starting point is 02:12:03 Who's the next quarterback? No, I was hoping you guys would tell me today, but. No, no, we don't know. Ian Rapport doesn't know shit either. No. Did you get the answer? Did you get the answer? Who's the next quarterback? No. I was hoping you guys would tell me today, but. No, no, we don't know. Ian Rapport doesn't know shit either. He didn't say a single thing. AJ, this guy knows actually. AJ has a question for you and he knows the answer actually.
Starting point is 02:12:16 Unfortunately, I don't, but Doc, have you given any thought of what it's going to feel like when you step up on that first tee box on Thursday, your first round? We don't know who you're playing with yet, but do you know like, how is that gonna be? How are you going to, I guess, hone in on, I'm sure so much adrenaline, maybe some nerves, like how is that first shot gonna go? And then after that, I would imagine boom, we're off.
Starting point is 02:12:35 Here we go, let's go win. And maybe blast some. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I don't know what it's gonna feel like. It's gonna be one of the craziest moments of my life. I know that. And then I think the best thing you can do is just tee it up high and swing very, very hard.
Starting point is 02:12:52 It's just, I just let it go. I just let it go. Cause if you try to guide it, you know, it's bad things happen. Just gotta let it go. And honestly, just soak it up. Like it's gonna be no matter how I play, I hope I play great, but I think I just I just got to stay present and enjoy it
Starting point is 02:13:08 And I mean yes, Oakmont Oakmont Pittsburgh. It just means so much to me guys like it's just it's a dream come true Honestly, it's just I can't even believe it being present is I think the most important part of anybody Performing let alone you for a lifetime moment here This is something you'll talk about with the family for the rest of your life now You said tee it up high swing hard Darius has a question for you. Yeah, I'm a fairly new golfer Just got to the game a couple years ago. I'm interested. What's in the bag? What type of clubs are you hitting what driver I see you got the title is hat on what ball are you playing? Let me get some detail. Yeah, what's your game like? What's your game? Yeah
Starting point is 02:13:41 Yeah, it's it's a mishmash of brands and stuff. I mean, Titleist is awesome. They support me, and I use a lot of their gear. And Titleist Ball, for sure. But yeah, the rest of the bag's kind of a mishmash. As far as game goes, I hit it a really long way. That's kind of my superpower. So just hit it a long way. Usually hit it pretty straight these days, and. So just hit it a long way. Good for a point.
Starting point is 02:14:05 Usually hit it pretty straight these days and find it and hit it again. I actually like, despite being, you know, taller and bigger than most golfers, I putt it really well. So, you know, if I can hit it long and straight and make some putts, like that's kind of how it went yesterday, honestly.
Starting point is 02:14:24 So that's, but hitting it a long way kind of sets everything up for me. That's what I try to do. Oh yeah fade. You're a fader? Yeah try to well yeah the key to hit it the key is when you try to fade it you got to fade it. Boom. And I'm still just a dentist during the day so sometimes when I try to do that I draw it and that's when bad stuff happens. Okay so what are you doing doc? What are you doing golf doctor? So I'm coming out of the pocket, right? I wanna come out of the slot right here, right? That's what I'm looking to do.
Starting point is 02:14:51 I saw the Calo Shalo, the Calo Shalo swing on Instagram. I wanna go here, I wanna get my hands here, then to here, then I want the hips to activate. I want the hips to activate and I'm coming out of the slot right out of the pocket and then bang we're off and running that's the golf swing doc or how do I fix my you got it you got it you're dialed you're dialed well we'll get you dialed we'll have to after this all you know goes down let's get out let's play we'll get you we'll get you
Starting point is 02:15:22 really dialed and we'll make some progress. It'll be good. Yeah, where do you play at around here? That's a good question. I play at Highland, Highland Golf and Country Club. It's awesome, it's off Michigan Road near Butler, where I went to school. People there are awesome, the course is incredible, the support's amazing.
Starting point is 02:15:39 They let me kind of do my thing as I prep and try to do this kind of stuff. It's awesome. So we'll get you out there. How many swings have you had? How many? Because I'm working on my what fourth fifth swing here. Yeah I don't know if that's normal. Do you have a lot of different swings or has this been how you've played your entire life? Yeah I mean it's like... What happened when you
Starting point is 02:15:58 late bloomed? You just started making contacts better? What was it? You know you just work and you work and work and work and then like sometimes things just start to click. You know, golf is so weird. So you have to like, you have to suck sometimes for a while and fail a bunch until you don't suck and fail, right? Like it's just kind of how it goes. So yeah, I can't, I couldn't really tell you. It's just like lots of hard work and honestly
Starting point is 02:16:21 so many great people around me to help, you know getting the body right here at the fitness garage in Carmel. Like all that stuff just kind of plays in. And then one day, sometimes, that's why golf is awesome sometimes. Yeah, golf is awesome sometimes. Other times it's terrible, like when I play
Starting point is 02:16:37 and I have no fun because I can't hit the ball well. And then I did work on it. You remember last year I worked on it. I was up there. I got worse. I got worse at the sport. I know it. You got your worst, for you get better. Well, that's I did work on it. You remember last year. I worked on it. Yeah. Yeah, I got worse I got worse at sports. I know you're worse for you better. Well, that's what he said You gotta fail and fail and fail and fail and fail who's another swing change? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I think I need to do the Kyle. I need to take that thing up up here Do what you've seen them you seen them on Instagram doc?
Starting point is 02:17:01 Who are you talking about? You've never seen him. You would know. I'm not letting it dock. He's a guy who's got a baseball swing. He's a hockey swing, baseball, he's got all the swings. I mean the guy hits a draw, perfect. Yeah, no, I think you lost me. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:17:18 I also have like a thousand Instagram comments or whatever going on right now. I don't know what the heck's going on. We'll jump in there. we will jump in there now you're the man Doc you got to fix teeth and you got to win golf tournaments that's a lot of pressure especially in between the years. Ty has a question for you. Yeah Doc if it was up to you like if you had your pick of the litter obviously whoever you play with it's gonna be pretty sweet but who would be like who are you hoping that you're maybe gonna get paired with like I was hoping maybe and obviously he didn't
Starting point is 02:17:46 Make it cuz you know his day his day and the Sun's done But like seeing you play with blocky and maybe you embarrassing him out there like that would have been sweet I Don't think that is what that is not how we all feel dog. You blocky. Yeah, everyone feels I certainly feel that way that guy sucks, but he does nice good guy, he's a good guy. Good story. He got thrusted in in the spotlight. He hit a hole. One, two of them. Yeah, without a doubt. Is he playing at Oakmont next weekend? No, he's not. And you know who is? The doc is. And he said he's a late bloomer. That guy's been doing it his whole life. So, but anyway, doc,
Starting point is 02:18:17 that's neither here or there. Who would you like to be paired with? Like if you could just pick anyone from the field? That's a great question. I honestly I would love to like I have modeled a ton of my game off Bryson what he does He broke the mold right and kind of broke golf for a while with how far he hits it How he puts it we put we both arm lock putt it right with straight arms. I Would love to do that. I would love to see, you know, who can hit it farther. He's probably got me right now, but it would be closer than a lot of people think. Whoa.
Starting point is 02:18:52 Whoa, whoa. So you hit bomb bombs. You hit, cause D'Chambeau murders golf balls. It's like what he's known for, right? Is he actually had to create new clubs cause he's hitting the golf ball too hard and too far. You're saying, obviously we're not putting you in a spot to say this, but you hit the ball like,
Starting point is 02:19:07 you're saying like I murder golf balls. That is your style of golf? Correct. Correct. Yeah. 330 plus off the tee or what are we talking here? You carry it. Yeah. Yeah. So, so yesterday, final hole, little downwind firm.
Starting point is 02:19:21 I can't feel my hands. I might puke. I'm just like, let's swing hard. And I think I popped it about 380 downwind firm. I can't feel my hands. I might puke I'm just like let's swing hard and I think I popped it about 380 downwind down hill. So Let's go get this US open dog, yeah, let's go get this open Congratulations and good luck and With your knowledge of the area tone has the last question. Yeah, I do. Our good friend, Frank Furko, he passed away. They sold his lot. Pudgy Wudgy, the cat sign was out front there.
Starting point is 02:19:49 They built a brand boot, beautiful brand new sheets there. You're gonna be hitting up the sheets before the round to kind of calm the nerves? Yeah, what's the MTO? Yeah, absolutely. That sheets is a mainstay. Many a time, hanging out at Pitt, going out, sleeping on my buddy's couches, ches and getting up to go caddy in the morning. We,
Starting point is 02:20:08 we freak that sheets is a great spot. So yes, absolutely. I need to go, I need to go taste the local fair. Like I used to. Absolutely. See you woke up for the tea time because you were committed to life. That became a doctor and also a professional golfer. Tone saw that tea time coming that the guy paid $5,000 for and said, sorry about it, bud. Fuck that guy. He'd carry his own clubs. We had some booze.
Starting point is 02:20:31 Someone's going to get a double back today, and that caddy was super pumped about it. Yeah, certainly. Yeah, double the tip. Double the tip. Yeah, yeah. He wasn't mad about his double bag, I guarantee you that. Hey, we appreciate the hell out of you, Doc.
Starting point is 02:20:42 Good luck and safe travels back here. Thank you so much, guys. This is like an unbelievable moment in my life. I still feel like I'm going to wake up tomorrow, and this is going to be all of a dream. So thank you all. I love the support. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Thank you. Yeah, it's a wild scene.
Starting point is 02:20:59 I mean, you're from Western Pennsylvania area. You live out here so close to us that you're actually one of our guys Dennis and then You qualify for the USO at Oakmont. It's like It's a wonderful set of coincidences speaking of I do have an appointment next Wednesday. I should probably call reschedule Uh-huh. Yeah, what's that all about? What about his teeth? Yeah? Yeah, no one see me here the next couple weeks guys Sorry about that. I got a I got some some stuff to do here All right, sounds good. Sorry Nick. Yes. Give yourself some laughing gas. Nick will continue. Just go win, brother
Starting point is 02:21:32 Go in. You should see the asshole stuff he eats in here. Yeah, you should see the stuff He eats like the sugar. Come on man. We talked about this. He eats the sugar candies that actually deteriorate your teeth I think that is kind of your sweet tooth. I told you I'll drink I'll drink a whole thing of chocolate milk and milk bread for bed. It's calcium. It's good for my teeth, right? Yeah, God needs business to though. Yeah, you're right This guy's gonna mount Mountain Dew Mountain Dew is always gonna be around and so we'll always be able to help some people You know fix their issues and smile a bit better. So Nick, come on, man. You got it figure it out, brother You're a good man doc, and I think you're very close to my house, which is good news.
Starting point is 02:22:07 Maybe I get in there and get some... You guys got laughing gas in there? We do. If you need it, if you got some nerves, you know, let's get it. We'll get your teeth fixed up. We'll get your game fixed up. You're set with me, man. We'll do it. I like that. Laughing gas before a round. Yeah. That's probably the right play. That's not a bad idea.
Starting point is 02:22:22 You're the man, ladies and gentlemen, in the US Open next weekend at Oakmont, Dr. Matt Voak. Congrats buddy. Yeah dog! 380. Yeah, pounded the ball. That's a big ball. He needs to set up right next to Bryson on the range like starting Monday and just swing as hard as you can just Just to try to get like just create some buzz I appreciate him saying I modeled a lot of my game after D. Shambow because D. Shambow is what taking like super analytical statistical Yeah, like view of one of one so vote here vote doctor Yeah, right Dennis like okay if I could do it makes sense what D. Shambow says I've never heard anyone say they've modeled their game after D Shambow that's actually really awesome. I think you gotta be super smart
Starting point is 02:23:09 Yes, I think it cuz there's so many numbers and shit Too because you've got to be able to fucking hit it a long way. I gotta thump that yeah drinking What was it the nine protein shakes a day? That was when he was trying to gain the weight Yeah, yeah, exactly. That's what he was the bison that that was unattainable Now that he's kind of come back to earth it is one the putting I mean that seems to make sense like if you're just A pendulum you ever heard D. Shambot talk about it Like if you lock your arms, there's less is this grip up his left forearm Does he does he lock it to his forearm? Yeah, cuz you can't go to your chest anymore, but you can pivot that thing on here
Starting point is 02:23:42 Yeah, I'm on a mine after scoot. So nice. Yeah, me too. Yeah, you're slipping inside. AJ actually does. Yeah. AJ and scooty. Yeah, I was kind of half. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:23:50 AJ and scooty kind of the same way in somehow. No, not really. How's the game going this year? I don't know. We'll see. If I ever, if I'm out there, throw up and down, I can get a par and I can get a 10 on the next hole. Any birdies yet this year?
Starting point is 02:24:05 I played about nine holes. I may have one I think yeah may a bird first time out I get bored. You know I need I need something on the line or I get distracted and Michael said I get it yeah Not but yeah, I mean I don't yeah I'm not a big. I don't not a big game where I need like you know I need every shot to count you know that Yeah, you need to be out at American Century. Yeah there you go. Good luck out there this year. That should be a lot of fun There should be a lot of fun for you guys thought you might be coming I just don't think so, you know me in the game have an interesting relationship me and go You bet. I mean right now you're broken up
Starting point is 02:24:38 Off a hundred times, but you've also almost come back a hundred times. Yeah watching Bubba behind the Thunderdome kind of made me think to myself, shouldn't do that sport ever again. Exactly. He just got there, right out of the car, did an interview. You guys know my clubs?
Starting point is 02:24:56 Yeah, we got your clubs. Old buddy brings over clubs. And he just takes like two hacks at it. And then it's just like literally, he's playing beer pong. So cool. He said it'd take him six months to get a hole in one and he stuck like 12 within like eight inches like right away And it was raining outside so much fun. Yeah, that would be so much fun to be able to do. Yeah, it's raining Yeah, they're saying that's like his third shot or something. It's just
Starting point is 02:25:18 Unbelievable. It's unbelievable what they do. So then it gives me no hope, you know I mean hope is what hope of beating bubble Watson in a professional Just knowing that I'll never be able to do that just knowing that well never gonna happen Look look at the old doc like that's why golf is cool Doc is you know cleaning people's teeth one day and next day is playing the US Open like you could do that You can call a play college golf and Butler so Doc's very committed Doc yeah, yeah, he's very if he started doing the D Chambeau shit that's a lot of time and he's going to the golf course and
Starting point is 02:25:49 he's not having a lot of fun most of times he's probably two hours on the range two hours on the putting green like to be that good you have to do that stuff and it's boring also if you were hitting it 330 yeah down the middle every fucking time you're using the driver guess what you'd be playing a lot more call so that's a lot of fun. So it's fun. Yeah, we're doing a home run Darby. Yeah, exactly Did you hear about the West Virginia baseball team AJ? What about I saw their celebration? They're good It was bad silly. I mean you won you're excited I don't I don't ever anything postgame when you win like I give everybody a pass
Starting point is 02:26:23 Yeah, the boys the boys were a little juiced up and they you know, they're trying to get the Gatorade Powerade bath Yeah, and they had to run that thing two miles, you know, I had a big comeback. I mean the boys were Boys were exhausted. The boys retired and this is good. Stop celebration right now. Boom That would have been good. Mm-hmm Mm-hmm. They kept going man. Just kept going and kept going and people started falling. Oh Going down, but no one got hurt though, right? No one like torn ACL. Yeah Celebration it's a lot of space and opportunity out there. What do you want for the people? Yeah, nobody gotta be better They're playing LSU Good luck LSU. They're gonna make dome on then they're gonna break Rocco's shot record when I get there, Tennessee
Starting point is 02:27:05 I don't know who they're playing down there. It's good a Pam I think I don't think what happened to Wright State Wright State was the judge. Is that our computer? Oh, it is Arkansas is the favorite. So yeah, you're right. Yeah, I think that's Arkansas. Okay, that's Arkansas Yeah, yeah, Arkansas LSU Auburn, Tennessee representing the SEC Is that the Coastal Carolina? Yep. Yep. Believe so. Yeah. Myrtle Beach is in this thing. Love that. That's good for baseball. Florida State is getting hot water. Some coaches are getting fiery out there in
Starting point is 02:27:37 college baseball. Coastals coach. Something happened with Florida. Oh yeah. Coastals coach came out didn't love it. Yeah they get real real check with their manager. Yeah there was somebody that was caught on camera saying something. White Forest skipper yeah I got. Did he say fucking forget? Yeah he said fucking forget about it. I think like that's their motto right? Yeah. You have to have the memory of a goldfish. Exactly. You can't be thinking about right now you got to fucking forget. Fucking fool.
Starting point is 02:28:08 That's not what everyone thinks, but if you look at the tape, you could certainly draw that conclusion. What else could it be? He just let that fly. Yes, he did. Early in the game, like the fourth inning too. He was, he's fed up.
Starting point is 02:28:23 Not even like- No, no. Just, did he's fed up not even like no no Did he say forget like you forget something like a bad at that? Yeah, you see guy was you know hot dog around play. I think you just call him fucking fool. Yeah Oh, yeah, we mean hot didn't look like that, but maybe seem like a couple of salami So I'm gonna jag off. Yeah, maybe jag off. That's a good word. He didn't say that out. Thank you. He's from PA about an hour from.
Starting point is 02:28:48 Yeah, he's from where was it? Johnstone. Johnstone. Yeah. Of course he is. Of course he is. What's that area? What's Johnstone like?
Starting point is 02:28:57 It's like an hour from Pittsburgh. On that note, tires is coming out June 5th. How far from Ohio? Nice on that note. From Ohio? Four. Too far from all right on that Ohio for too far three four probably right for probably if I had to guess Is Three
Starting point is 02:29:17 I'm looking What it's all kind of same over here the rust about all kind of runs together. together. Yeah, it's an hour east of Pittsburgh. So two hours from the high. He said I need to fucking do this one right here. That looks kind of difficult. That seems like a lot. It's a little east of Latrobe where the where training campus. OK. Hey, I love the job. Also, the old have a rolling rock. Love what Doc said.
Starting point is 02:29:44 The beer. What did? Yes, the beer, the green hammer rolling rock Love with Doc said What did yes the beer the green? Yep, green bottle. They sold it to another company What did Scottie Scheffler say again do your swing? Yeah, okay. Yeah, it's got he's saying that as if I play an athlete though You're an athlete though. You're thinking of like these old middle-aged dudes that aren't athletes That's what they need to do. You need to be an athlete and trust yourself exactly Use your hands Well, I think your game's rounding into form. Read the book.
Starting point is 02:30:08 You got to read the book. Small book, too. It's in the book. Fucking blade lip. Foxy knows that. I heard you guys got a good full swing session. Yeah. It's back.
Starting point is 02:30:17 It's working. It's working. Shout to the full swing simulator people. They've heard us relentlessly talk shit about our golf simulator up here. And they've reached out relentlessly talk shit about our golf simulator up here and they've reached out and say hey we need we would like to fix this problem for you guys because we think it could be an additive to your life as opposed to a massive disappointment which is what this last
Starting point is 02:30:35 simulator was yes without a doubt this last simulator up here was a massive disappointment you go up there first of all you find the motivation to go hit some shots mm-hmm I'm gonna go hit shots. You go all the way up there. You turn the fucking computer on. Things take a bit. Okay, so now the projector is warming up as well. Here we go. Stretch out a little bit.
Starting point is 02:30:54 Yep. Stretch out a little bit. Have it hit a little bit here. Get the colo-shala. Colo-shala. Do the whole thing. Then obviously it has to test for other balls. So you do the fucking test. Okay obviously it has to test for where the balls are. So you do the fucking test.
Starting point is 02:31:07 Okay, got it. Now you get into the app, you got to punch in all the shit. Okay, all the shit. Okay, boom. You finally get to the driving range. Here we go. You put it down and then you hit that thing.
Starting point is 02:31:17 And guess what? It doesn't register a thing. Staring at it. There you go, get another ball. And then it puts a green check mark. It says, yup, we see it Nothing all right. Well, I gotta go out reset this thing now We need to read reboot also need the whole fucking laser system to reboot Okay
Starting point is 02:31:35 Now we're 13 minutes into this thing and we've hit two balls that didn't register what we've stretched We've done a computer twice and we've had the motivation come and go to hit balls Yeah, that has been our simulator experience for the last two years Basically from Joe three years three years maybe that has been the it has been a massive disappointment spot-on It's the worst thing ever you would just literally just hitting it into a blank wall is what that that became a shit a net You get $10 net and do that. Thank you. This became like a garage net And it was where's it going? Who the fuck knows did you hit a clean sure felt like it who knows though if that thing doesn't After fuck it 20 feet cuz you're only hitting a 10 feet
Starting point is 02:32:13 So the full swing people called and they're like we would like to fix makes this make this a weapon for you And they did I think it works. That's what I heard right yeah Me and me and Tony played like four holes yesterday. And it worked. Yep, every shot registered. Thank you, Full Swing. Nice. Yeah, learned a lot. They looked out for us. That was very kind of them.
Starting point is 02:32:31 Somebody watched our show from them and said, we would like to make this happen for you. And that's nice. So we're all gonna be scratch golfers, huh? I think so. No, I still quit. It better work in December. That's when we need it.
Starting point is 02:32:41 December, January, February. Thank you, Full Swing. It needs to be working during those months though Well right now. I think it's warming. You know it's getting into Fighting shape no more problems. It's training camp for this fucking simulator All right, let's get on the road down to carry North Carolina Let's do this TST. Oh, yeah, fuck win this or let's go to Myrtle. Yes there we go boys Connor was trying to convince me during the break that we need to take that plane.
Starting point is 02:33:12 Cary Myrtle Beach. I don't think it's a terrible idea. Except we're heading in the same direction. Just the same direction. Myrtle Beach is fun. You will have fun in Myrtle Beach. Especially if there's a concert going on down there, Marty Smith's boys. Fuck Country Fest. Fucking Carolina Country Fest. Yeah, I got some good cue down there. Oh, yeah
Starting point is 02:33:30 You ever had our cute on her Carolina? Yeah. Oh, yes. Yep. Look you I would the venue would say it's the best what? Kansas City Kansas City barbecue. Yeah, Marty Smith said I know Kansas City got good you Yes, he is the power rink. Did did you have a vinegar you cream of the crop whoo-hoo gates in Kansas City? Yeah, is that one of the places that's like popular? I think we got some gates after our game. That's what I'm saying Yeah, what I've had this. Yes. Okay. Yes. I do remember Kansas City having great barbecue Yeah, and I do remember going to Kansas City and everybody saying you have to have barbecue. That's what kind of is the notion. That's like you go to Houston. They got a lot of steak places. Houston's got great steak restaurants down there. You go to Kansas City, they say you got to have barbecue down here. Now, Texas barbecue though is a real
Starting point is 02:34:16 thing too, right? Yes. Oh yeah, it's good too down there too. What's the difference? Do we know what the difference is? Is it the seasoning, the way it's cooked? Yeah. They all claim they're the best. I know that. The cube sauce. Is that the season the way it's cooked? Yeah, they all claim that the best sauce cuz you got Carolina gold
Starting point is 02:34:26 Right sauce then you got like Nashville hot sauce. Yep, then I see I assume there's some Texas barbecue of some sort sweet The Kansas City might have a little bit. Yeah, sweet Q Casey sweet ski Good for real true this pit like pizza. It's all good. I agree you if you're gonna slow cook meat I'll need Gana yeah, no, it's a good rule. Yeah What Me I like yes, so could be false it's not always I like so cooked beef. Pause.
Starting point is 02:35:04 What? It's not always beef. Beef is other meat. Pork, pork, pork. You like to get chicken. You like to get filled with beef. I like to eat good food. You like to fill yourself up with some good beef.
Starting point is 02:35:13 Beef. Nice thick beef. Good food. Kansas City is a tomato base with molasses. North Carolina has Lexington vinegar and tomato, Eastern vinegar and pepper. Specialty meat is whole hog down there, North Carolina South Carolina Western peppery tomato based
Starting point is 02:35:31 Central South Carolina Carolina gold mustard coastal peppery spice with vinegary Specialty meat the whole hog the whole fucking pig is in trouble and the carolinas the whole pig is in trouble That's why D,bud doesn't like getting the whole what is mutton what's that buddy what is mutton in kentucky the specialty meat is mutton fucking lamb eucretan god jeez louise dude they have vinegar based with mutton dip lamb dip pepper and vinegar uh missouri kansas city shout out Tomato base with molasses, oh. That's that sweet barbecue. Oh, that sweet Q.
Starting point is 02:36:08 Burnt ends are. Yeah, to die for. And then Texas has tomato base with beef drippings. Oh, beef drippings, chili pepper and spices, beef briskets, everything. So they're a brisket team. They're the Burnt End Squad up here. Tennessee, dry rub focus, paprika, cayenne,
Starting point is 02:36:24 pepper, salt, salt and sugar pork rib I am pepper I think just reading the sauces here lemon juice horseradish hot sauce salt pepper and vinegar Alabama pork ass shoulder and ribs down there in Alabama I'll tell you what I think I like the Alabama sauce the best lemon juice horseradish hot sauce salt pepper and vinegar that feels like the one that I would like to do you remember? the burnt ends from LSU oh Yeah, those things were unbelievable unbelievable. They were Louisiana's not even on here. Yeah, that's why it must be like the Bama ones That's what it sounds kind of like roll into it. Yeah. Yeah, we'll go try some of the cute diner in North Carolina
Starting point is 02:37:03 I'm hungry You Oh, I'm hungry You know what? I'm hungry for a TSD title. Yeah And I'll tell you what these concave for boys better be able to lock the fuck in Dumpy have you been giving speeches? Have you been sending motivational text messages? I know you guys are on some weird app together that I refuse to join. Have you been sending some messaging? What's the fucking thing that that group no longer exists okay different squad this year me all ahead 18 holes yesterday he's got the boys ready all golf yeah he got 18 then he better fucking cleared his mind he had the boys he has mentioned out me all a golf and no less than 80 times
Starting point is 02:37:42 today I don't think company's real real happy with coach I don't know if Tony Newell knows that Gump is a big must have been nice to be able to golf 18 holes on a Monday guy you know that is kind of what he is doing right what happened? Breaking news just happened. Breaking news. Big breaking news actually. Breaking news. No actual news. Ladies and gentlemen, the New York Knicks have relieved Tom Thibodeau of his duties as the head coach of the New York Knicks. Thibodeau led the Knicks to their first Eastern Conference finals in 25 years, made playoffs in four of five years, and led the Knicks to consecutive 50-plus win seasons for the first time since the 1990s. That's via Shyam Sharania, senior NBA insider for ESPN, friend of the program. Let's give him a call real quick because obviously
Starting point is 02:38:33 Knicks fans have been kind of calling for this as soon as they lose, but I think that was in the emotional aftermath of losing a series to the Pacers, understanding that this was a real opportunity to make it to the NBA finals. There was no Celtics, the Cavs, who were the number one team in the East all year, obviously lose to the Pacers. This felt like maybe the easiest path to get to a Finals. You're this close to an NBA Finals and then you blow it. So there was a lot of anger. I think there was a lot of emotion, especially after this happens and the shirt goes on sale and the Pacers kind of do their thing. I didn't know if it was actually gonna happen though, because those are a lot of good things that he did for the New York Knicks. Obviously Malone is out there formerly of the Denver Nuggets. Is Bruce Brown in the back? Bruce Brown New York Knicks fan.
Starting point is 02:39:18 What was the temperature? Is this what Knicks fans thought were gonna happen or what was kind of the expectation here? I mean, you know, while the playoffs are going on a lot of Knicks fans were trying to stay positive. I was certainly on this for a bit because you know like when you're playing seven guys in a rotation and you're falling short in the playoffs and your playoff record is like as a coach is like 46 and 70 you know it's kind of time to say hey thank you Tibbs, for building us up to this point. But it's time to go a different direction. Maybe that direction is Mike Ballone.
Starting point is 02:39:49 Maybe we go up to Storrs, Connecticut and knock on Dan Hurley's door and see what he's up to. But I think this is probably a necessary move to kind of take that next step, you know, playoffs, playoffs with standing, you know. Does Hurley have a connection to the Knicks? I believe so I believe there is one to his family somewhere. Maybe his brother. Yeah his dad maybe yeah something There is a Knicks connection. Obviously, it's the New York Knicks Yeah, so it's in Madison Square Garden and we all saw what Knicks fans became and what the hype was around whenever the Knicks are
Starting point is 02:40:20 Good. It's the whole city coming together basically around a team. It was beautiful to watch take place. Maybe that'll be enough to draw Dan Hurley out of Yukon. You know, this is gonna happen every single year. It's gonna happen every single year with Dan Hurley. Malone obviously sitting there waiting, but I think if I listen to Bruce Wright whenever he was angry watching the season conference finals, the thought was Carlisle's running a circle around this guy. Yeah. And in last year playoffs, Carlisle ran a circle around this guy. Certainly. Carlisle might be a great coach
Starting point is 02:40:47 and our team might be set up differently than what the Knicks are. Maybe a little bit deeper, but it has been kind of a masterclass on how best of seven series Pacers are gonna win that inevitably. Yeah, when you play your starters all regular season and then in the Eastern Conference Finals say,
Starting point is 02:41:00 all right guys, you know what we're gonna do? We're playing 10 guys. Then you have to learn how to do that for the very first time on the biggest stage possible. If we'd been playing Wright and Shamett and Deuce McBride the minutes that they probably should have been getting all along, then you know how to teeter with it and adjust it, you know, when the lights are the brightest. So that was certainly a big knock and then you know his playoff resume could be better but obviously-
Starting point is 02:41:28 Did you say he's 46 and 70? He's around there, yeah, in the playoff. That's all the best teams though. Yeah, no doubt. Sure the Knicks would get it right. Okay, so on that note, Shamsharani has tweeted, The Knicks are singularly focused on their pursuit of a championship and believe a new voice will serve as the focus for the organization's next step.
Starting point is 02:41:46 Sources said after five season with the Knicks, Tom Thibodeau is officially out. Yeah. I mean, surprising to me, but, uh, hearing, uh, Jeff Teague, one of my favorite, uh, NBA podcast, he was talking about playing for Tibbs. He was like, man, Tibbs don't even coach. He just damn, man. Come on. Damn.
Starting point is 02:42:04 Damn. You say, that's all he says. Like you see with Brunson, Brunson is a phenomenal player, but like, you know, when you aren't necessarily running sets or running plays, you're kind of the ball stopper and the Knicks, they never get it right though. So I don't think they will going forward. This is surprising to me coming strapped off the Eastern Conference. We see it happen in NBA though. Joining us now live, he only has three minutes before he probably has to go on television. Ladies and gentlemen, Shams Chiragnya.
Starting point is 02:42:27 Hey, Shams. Shams, Knicks fans, obviously throughout the series with the Pacers, I heard Gain a little bit of noise because Carlisle was seemingly out coaching. The team was ready. How long has this been in the works and what ultimately led to their decision to get rid of Tom Thibodeau?
Starting point is 02:42:42 The, as soon as the Knicks season ended, they started meetings internally and James Dolan the Knicks owner, Leon Rose their president, they believed the best path for this team to take the next step as an organization to win a championship is that they need a new voice and so Leon Rose and James Dolan came to the decision this morning that they were going to part ways with Tom Thibodeau. He is fired as their head coach. I mean, Pat, you think about what they've done as an organization,
Starting point is 02:43:08 like to lose in the conference finals, that's not a bad feat. This is a team that's gone from really out of much contention at all. Then when Tom Thibodeau comes in, they become respectable again, four or five seasons in the playoffs. They've had back to back 51 seasons for the first time since the 1990s I mean, I think everyone around the league is stunned. I mean my phone is blowing up I've a bunch of teams are reaching out right now Absolutely shocked
Starting point is 02:43:36 But they've been having they've been having meetings For the last 24 hours and and this is the decision they came with. Okay, we know you have to run quickly. Malone obviously is a coach that is available after getting fired from the Denver Nuggets. He's won a championship before. Does that become a name that the Knicks are going to look at? Bruce Brown, who's a massive Knicks fan, just said, maybe Dan Hurley. What are the names in the coaching pool for this coaching cycle? I'm not sure yet which direction they go, but you think about for Tom Thibodeau, the
Starting point is 02:44:10 issues that they probably had with him, you think about what Mikhail Bridges said early in the year. And I think a comment like that rings true. Like a guy that might trust his bench more, a guy that might be a little bit more lenient based on his principles and what he wants to enact. I mean clearly the way Tom Thibodeau coached, I mean for better or for worse, he was he was very very I won't even say stuck in his way but he had a way that he was gonna operate. That's what it was gonna be. He was not gonna change and for better or for worse. Now it leads to a lot of
Starting point is 02:44:43 success. All these guys have career years, but clearly the Knicks, I think the direction they're gonna go in now is figuring out a guy that they know can build out the entire roster, the bench, can work with the front office, is a little bit more lenient based on what their strategies are and not so, you know, tips that has success his way or the highway,
Starting point is 02:45:04 in this case, I guess the Knicks gave him the highway. Geez, Louise, Shawn. Maybe Timothy Chalamet gets in there Money. Yeah, they're gonna need his brain. Yeah him and Ben Stiller maybe get Spike Lee in there Get wasn't miles teller all of a sudden Have them all in there. All right. We appreciate you. Shawn's great work buddy. We said you guys He's got the TV right now probably next have no options they traded all their picks all their players are basically max guys they this is the only way they could do anything and now if they want to build out their roster they got to trade one of their big names so I mean they're so
Starting point is 02:45:40 fucked I can't believe they did this Michael Cole just texted me Nick's are firing Tibbs question What the fuck? They finally beat the Celtics. Imagine if the Pacers fired Carlisle. We're stuck on the first day but not the second. The Celtics. Cat would be tough to move. There's like a Tomlin situation in Pittsburgh. You get him alone, that's an upgrade. Cat would be easy to move but the reports are coming out that his teammates
Starting point is 02:46:06 are pissed at him. Yeah, but that could be just lies to try to diminish his trade value from somebody. You know, there's so much shit. Before Tibbs was even... Yeah, but they might have been trying to... Yeah. This is also just a byproduct of coaching in New York. Like if he was in a small market, like he's not getting fired.
Starting point is 02:46:22 You know, he's probably getting an extension for going to the Eastern Conference Finals, but it's like hey, this is the Knicks You know also I mean to your point Carlisle here. He's been here Seven years now. Yeah, six years, whatever it's been and it's like last year. They make it to the Eastern Conference Finals It's like yes. Yeah, then they back it up again though. And it's like yes, but if they would have done bad I think people would have still been like ah Pacers are a good team We made the Eastern Conference Finals last year made it to the playoffs this year lost the number one seed Cavs or whatever It's a different conversation in New York. I mean after myself right in the middle of it there for a little bit Yeah, they put up street signs. They really
Starting point is 02:46:56 They really love that next thing. You got to be good over there and Most success they've had though. Yeah, sorry. I gotta be great over there, I guess. You gotta be great over there. You don't, I mean, we were winning 30 games for like 20 years and the place was still sold out. Yeah, and then they finally- So what are you doing here? It's like Jim Caldwell at the Detroit Lions. I am surprised by this and Dolan kind of stepping back into basketball operations. It sounds like meeting with Leon Rose and
Starting point is 02:47:21 I would imagine that the owner was a part of this. Did they have a big part of it? You think player exit meetings had a big sway if players gave their opinion? Maybe but Brunson was like a huge, huge tips guy as was Josh Hart who, I mean kind of who cares what Josh says but. No, no doubt but Brunson kind of the first and foremost. Yeah, and you said Brunson has been a big Tim's guy. I think Brunson would be a big whoever the head coach got. He's a dog.
Starting point is 02:47:49 Brunson is a- He's awesome. He's got to be a big Tim's guy for him to basically pass up on $100 million. Exactly. So he had to have some type of trust. And his dad, right? His dad's on the bench as well. So I mean, it's wild, but it's New York Knicks.
Starting point is 02:48:02 Dude, they're Eastern Conference name. There are Eastern Conference finals Final four. Mm-hmm. Like I know we're small town, Indiana. We love basketball. This state loves basketball here It's like Eastern Conference finals pretty cool even more so too. Like hey you you went the year before Next year you go to the finals Like if you're the next year with more so thinking like hey We just got to the Eastern Conference finals like let's get a couple players and then let's go back Maybe we have a deeper bench. We get a couple players get a Knicks, you're more so thinking like, hey, we just got to the Eastern Conference Finals. Let's get a couple players and then let's go back. Maybe we have a deeper bench. We get a couple players, get a couple guys, then maybe we're playing eight, nine guys a night.
Starting point is 02:48:31 Same system, same head coach, same voice. I don't know. But I'm assuming there's Knicks fans out there that are telling us we're idiots, because, oh yeah, it must be nice to be on the side where the team that just out coaches the other team and wins in the playoffs every time, which is what they said about the...
Starting point is 02:48:44 That's what Knicks fans were saying about Carlisle. early on with bruce though like even when the playoffs first started It was like hey, it's it's two scenarios here The Knicks go on a run or they don't and Tibbs gets fired and that's great because then at least there's some change Like the Knicks did go on a great run that they beat the Celtics in you know tatum towards Achilles But but let's say they beat the Pacers. Yeah. And then they play OKC and they get swept. Okay. In the finals, Tim's gets fired.
Starting point is 02:49:11 No way. Probably. I don't know. Now Toronto. I generally don't know. No, no, no. Who else got fired after? No, Nick Nurse.
Starting point is 02:49:19 I mean, Daniella got fired after a year after winning. Yeah. Did you say Boonenholzer? Yeah. Boonenholzer? Yeah, Boonenholzer. The dude from Milwaukee. I guess the NBA is like you never know. I feel like we talked about Brunson,
Starting point is 02:49:32 the players have, you never really know who's moving the pieces behind the scenes in the NBA. I feel like the NFL, you can kind of pinpoint, okay, it's going to be that guy or that guy's, maybe that guy was decisioning that building that's changing huge pieces like this. in the NBA like it's like different powers that work that we're we're not necessarily privy to but it's um the big-time players were being asked a lot after the series I know Brunson
Starting point is 02:49:55 specifically about hey oh yeah you have faith yeah do you have faith in Tibbs to kind of turn it or get you guys over the hump but it's not like you keep getting there you just can't get over the hump. But it's not like you keep getting there. You just can't get over the hump. Like you haven't had much success. You haven't had one of the championships at 73. You get to the finals and then you fire the guys. So we'll see what they got up their sleeve.
Starting point is 02:50:14 Yeah, we shall see. And good luck to the Knicks fans. Heard a lot of you guys saying, see you next year to us in the Eastern Conference finals. We'll see. New coach. This is the only change they can make. They gotta have an idea of who they want. Dolan has to have an idea of a couple people he wants. I would like to say Dolan is
Starting point is 02:50:33 hilarious in my eyes. I think Dolan is a hilarious individual. I think he's a band. He's got a great band. Great band. He's got the sphere out there. I mean he and he's been through it you know know, even with Nick's fans and just completely Sounds like a you thing not a me thing. Just keep it moving You know whenever we were when I was looking for tickets and him just being absolutely My arena. I mean they booted. I love that They got to him two different angles Two different people got to him. Like pretty, pretty significant people got to him. Two different ways. I don't... Sent the article of me doing a thing. I don't think so buddy. What are we doing? Fucking nuts. Yeah, right. I love that. Yeah. Like I think the people, whatever they gave me, they answer. Didn't think that I would love it. And I was like, oh, that is awesome. That is exactly how I would hope, you know, the owner would act in a situation Feels like he would like the Knicks to win. Oh, yeah. Yes. Yeah. Well they get it done Bruce
Starting point is 02:51:33 We'll be back in the playoffs for sure Who did I Dossau had so this is Dossau Bruce So I mean being a Yankee Giants Knicks fan is you know the different side of the Venn diagram to the Mets Jets Knicks fan I don't get how they do it this shit sucks They're never gonna win an NBA championship My entire life and I know that and still each year you just work up that hope slowly but surely and then each year Just comes crashing down. I mean it's kind of new to be in the playoffs, Tibbs did it three times in
Starting point is 02:52:08 four and five in the 25 years prior to that I think we did we went there like once or twice. Jesus! They're looking a gift horse in the muck! Exactly. I mean the the faith is in Leon Rose the GM who came over from from head of CAA and completely flipped this shit around. He hasn't really made up or made any like horrible rash decisions you can point at the bridges trade as potentially one. But I have faith in him combing through the best available guys and making a great decision.
Starting point is 02:52:37 Okay, you talked about Mets fans, Michael Cole also one of those. He just texted me and said, catching up to show rap is an idiot Sent me a picture of his armpit hair nice, so he just has light armpit hair It's cuz it's probably because the Mets do of oh my back there is okay. Okay, nice pick. Yeah, there's armpit That's his armpit armpit that's his armpit. I want to see who was driving next to him as he took that picture in his car. That's Michael fucking Cole what is he taking a picture of his armpit he's the greatest
Starting point is 02:53:17 sorry what you said go ahead. No the Mets do have the best record in the NL second best record in the in all of baseball. So exactly. So number two team in baseball. Yeah, that's the, I'm telling you, I know this Mets team pretty good. Once a week I get a full fucking experience. He's basically, he was saying, because Rapp's basically a fake fan for not knowing that. Well and also Rapp is saying he's a fan
Starting point is 02:53:37 because he gets free tickets to the games. Yeah, he has that oversized jersey. Yeah, so he didn't really, he'll catch up in the playoffs. Michael Cole is there every at bat. Grinding. I don't know how he does it legitimately. I don't know how he pays attention He has like an app that tells him every pitch and it just notification pop-up notification pop-up Oh, who would have thought one soda flyer? 17 pitch at bat some pitcher this guy's going to be able to pitch past fourth inning. Like just every single, it's just a new baseball thing. I've never seen somebody do it. Cole is with this Mets team.
Starting point is 02:54:13 They're good. They're good. They're better than the Kings of New York. No they're not. They actually just lost a series to the Yankees. So I don't know how they could be the Kings of New York when they can't beat the other team in New York. But they're good. They're certainly good without a doubt start spreading They're leaving today They wanna take over it Metzar New York, they still want to lynch and kill Juan Soto and they just spent seven hundred 50 million dollars on the guy so until they get that figured out
Starting point is 02:54:51 Yankees fans are doing great with the acquisitions. We made this offseason. How are you guys you guys gonna make the playoffs this year? Yeah, they're leading the American League by about six games pretty comfortable pretty comfortable lead What about the Pittsburgh Pirates? How we we been doing? I know that's- It is skeins day. Wait, today? Yep. And? Since Don Kelly has taken over,
Starting point is 02:55:11 they are playing some salty ball. Don Kelly? Yeah, cause- New manager. Yeah, yeah. Their issue is that the Cubs are actually one of the best teams in baseball. Same thing.
Starting point is 02:55:20 The Chicago Cubs suck. We know that. Not this year. No, I thought they were historically terrible. Chicago. So good this year I want to they want a World Series not too long ago kind of broke the curse Oh, no, the white white side were historically bad last year But that's not even gonna matter because the Rockies are gonna break they're gonna be worse this year I heard you guys talk about that yesterday with jet. Sorry to the Cubs fans I thought you guys were the White Sox White Sox is is the Pope. Yes. Pope is a White Sox fan. Correct. I apologize. The Tigers just destroyed the White Sox last night. Tigers very good.
Starting point is 02:55:51 That's the best. That's the first team to 40. Yeah, best record in the MLB. Gary Carpenter hit three home runs last night. He plays for the Tigers. Yes, he does. And these games matter too. Yes, they do. What you don't here is all these you know where they're ranked in the MLB right now It's like bigger than it would be in September. Well, especially if Jack Cagliari is coming at time Have you heard about this guy 130 mile an hour plus hits off the bat V lo dude was a pitcher in college Okay, Florida now he's playing first base in how field trying to figure it out, right? I yeah, I probably not gonna play first base in the in the big leagues because they got Vinny pass Quintina But he's probably gonna play a couple of times running this thing. Yeah, not even the number one prospect in the minors
Starting point is 02:56:34 Who's the more prospect in the minors Roman Anthony? Boston Red Sox you didn't see they he was they sneak them out in a in a compartment 200 people There was six people standing outside that was a weird thing. That was a weird thing doing that for that thing in a 200 people There was six people standing outside that was a weird thing. That was a weird thing doing that for that thing I'm assuming those 20 people have been there for 20 two months straight sure 10 5 I'm assuming all of them have been there for two months straight and he signed for all those way specifically He Taylor Swifted it at the concert. Yeah. Yeah, there he is ice cold beers I just can't go back to the beginning. There's 15 people. Maybe I miss some people. No, I understand
Starting point is 02:57:15 I appreciate I don't like autograph hounds either. Okay, the people that turn it into a sport There's no doubt about it. Those people are yeah, they are the binders Yeah, these people all this is them trying to make a living off of this guy's niceness and kindness they've probably taken advantage of this kid a lot she's but the way he was captioned was like he didn't want to get mobbed by fans you know we watched videos seven people there it's like I don't think that's the reason why he was doing it but I do respect it and they need to just keep those people out of there still fuck off they need to call it's people out of there. Just tell them fuck off. They need to call their ass off. More people should.
Starting point is 02:57:46 Those people with the bite, like, come on. More people should do that. People should feel more comfortable telling the autograph hounds, the people that make a living off of praying off of your niceness, and popping up in places that are so ridiculous. I mean, I would people pop up out of the woods, like at an airport that I'm pulling up to,
Starting point is 02:58:04 just middle of the night, 1 AM, to pop up out of the woods, like at an airport that I'm pulling up to, just middle of the night, 1 a.m., pop up out of nowhere, garbage bag full of things. I was wondering if you'd sign a couple things and then pull the fucking garbage bag out, they got 45 things. Who do you want me to make it out to? Nobody. No, they even got shit that you can make it out,
Starting point is 02:58:18 they can get it. Oh yeah, don't race it. Yeah, they can get it off. They'll even bring their kids. Scumbags. Yeah, they have their kids have a bag of shit, you remember that? Oh yeah. I had to tell one kid that this is not how life goes, dude.
Starting point is 02:58:26 Right. Like, I signed it, and I was like, this is not how this goes. You should know that this is not how this goes. I don't know. I get it, the hustle and bustle. But then charging people that are fans of ours for that shit is just so absurd in my eyes, too. Because if I run into you, I'll sign for you.
Starting point is 02:58:42 I'll take a picture with you. I'll talk to you, do the whole thing. Just the people, the garbage bags and all this shit, I just can't. And they expect, they try to grandstand on you being a bad person too. It's like, all right, I'm a bad guy. See ya. I've had to evolve into that feeling. I've had to evolve into that.
Starting point is 02:58:57 I'll sign some of them for him. I'll tell some people like, I'll do two per, two per, two person. And then there's always somebody trying to get back in rows if I didn't see them. I just saw you, bro. I see your fingers too. There was actually these one guys that came with an autographed Sidney Crosby thing and an autographed Barry Sanders thing
Starting point is 02:59:12 knowing I would be there. They exchanged those to us for Pat's autograph. It was good business. I actually respected that. I respected that. And I did sign. I did sign. Oh, definitely.
Starting point is 02:59:21 Yeah, we got an autograph in return. I'm like, okay, this is a good business. Thanks, yeah. This is a good business. I don't like doing the autograph thing. I don't like people spending the money that people spend on those things People really spend money. Oh, yeah still a big market. That's their phone I don't know about my market in general, but I do know that people spend money on that stuff and I'm like don't I don't know It's not what cuz my signature too. Like what that things changed? Yeah
Starting point is 02:59:41 I got watched pawn stars and they have to legitimize an autograph or whatever and it's like how would you legitimize mine? similar, but Boy, you get lazy sometimes that's just a big old pee on there and then it's just a She's so hey signature. Is it awesome? Yeah, so sick. See that one's worth Yeah, he does like the Japanese lettering next to it too. Like it's really cool Yeah, see that is a card that'll be worth so much money. Whatever. It's all said and done. He's best player in baseball right now No All rise. Yeah big dumper in Seattle is pretty good, too. Yep
Starting point is 03:00:20 Who's that? Big dumper. He's leading the league in home runs with Shohei's got 23 big dumpers his name What's his actual name? Cal Rowley aka big dumper He's a big bopper guy mashes the baseball, dude What's his nickname? Big dumper I actually saw Mariners fans super upset the other day cuz he took the lead for most home runs in the league and fans super upset the other day because he took the lead for most home runs in the league and They were upset because the MLB account didn't have full every time Ohtani hits a home run it and makes it You know the league lead they you know they go all out and they weren't doing that for the Mariners guys So Mariners fans were super upset. I assume Seattle sports fans feel as if they get yeah for sure
Starting point is 03:01:02 Shafted when it comes to attention on a regular basis, which definitely is true. They're good though Mariners good You got a guy named big dumper on the squad. I'm uh, I'm a fan of the big dump Let's make sure we add big dump into the updates whenever we're doing big baseball sounds good Mariners one of those teams I'm not you know, usually keeping too many tabs on because they guys Aquaman big dump Yeah, that's the tried as the tried meritorial deal. They start every game at like fucking 1045 Eastern though. Great beautiful ballpark though. I'll catch one. I'll catch one. A lot of fans out there. A baseball one from Big Dumper? No, I'll catch a game. Oh that's some ticks. They just retired 51. No way for Etro and Randy Johnson. That's great news. Was that Big Dumper right there just hit one off the ground? Oh yeah. That's Big Dumper baseball. Etro and Randy Johnson both wear the number 51 for the Seattle Maners. They were retired for both of them. Has that ever happened before in sports? I don't know. It seemed pretty cool when I saw it.
Starting point is 03:01:50 Me too. I thought that was like really sweet actually. It feels like those two are the right two people. Perfect two. Yeah. To kind of do it. Another place it may happen. Denver.
Starting point is 03:01:56 Nuggets. Yeah. Joker. With 15. Joker and Mello. Oh yeah. Mello for the Sparrow Hall of Fame. That'd be cool.
Starting point is 03:02:01 Yeah, that would be sweet. Long term. What about Terry Bradshaw and Aaron Rodgers? That could happen. If that happens, I doubt Terry will let him get up. Yeah. Every time I hear him talk, I'm just like, Jesus, go chew on some bark, man.
Starting point is 03:02:18 What a line. It's real though, I can see how... There was more to that quote, too. Yeah, I think they left the best part out. It's just been nice. What was the best part? Yeah, what is it? I believe it Yeah, I think they left the best part out. It's just been nice What was the best part? Yeah, what does that believe it was? I don't want to miss quote the great Terry Bradshaw I believe it was chew on barking whisper to the gods Which you don't yell at her because you don't have to listen
Starting point is 03:02:35 So he said his aura is like every time he comes around it feels like it's just gonna start to snow This guy's do you have to embark and we're good gods. Yeah. That's a bar. Terry Bradshaw's been doing TV a long time. Every time it comes around, I just, don't we all feel it? Kind of fucking worse feeling. Goddamn snowstorm coming in. Hunker down. He's got a mandatory minicamp next week for Ian Rappaport or what? I mean he has to. Sounds like he has to by this week next time otherwise they're gonna say no deal. You're done. AJ is he going?
Starting point is 03:03:11 I mean I think because Ian wants to make sure he doesn't interrupt any of his golf rounds he would like him to report next week. We told him this jokingly that Aaron will follow along with his social media and see when he's potentially, oh Ian Rapp he ended up taking a flight to Australia. Well, now's the time. He's not gonna have any service. Let's go ahead and drop this out. Just because.
Starting point is 03:03:31 That's why anything is possible with Aaron Rodgers. Anything. Aaron Rodgers plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They go to the playoffs? Yes. Do they win a playoff game? No, AFC is stacked, I'm not sure. AFC North.
Starting point is 03:03:43 Yes and no. They don't go. It doesn't matter. We've talked about something for six months and the joke's on us. Because it won't even fucking matter in the end. What do you mean it won't matter? The Steelers go into the Super Bowl if Aaron Rodgers goes there. We're asking if they win a playoff.
Starting point is 03:03:57 I think some Steelers fans feel that's possible. Do you, Tony? No. So does it really matter in the end? What's the purpose of the season? I mean, truly. Hey, look. Danny the end? What's the purpose of the season? I mean? Truly hey look Danny dimes. What's the purpose of life? I think most I think most teams aren't afraid of the Steelers anymore when it comes to live Aaron Rodgers
Starting point is 03:04:14 Yeah to live and words to leave an impact. Yeah, words are spells But words are spelled Okay Because they can cast spells sure you're right There's a lot of deepness to a lot of things you better brush up on that shit. I mean he's coming. He's coming pal What do you mean that shit just all the all of his you know Roger isms that he's Us the last couple years you better brush up on that shit Tony cuz guess what you're gonna be regurgitating that every Monday
Starting point is 03:04:53 You got I think you guys are gonna I think they go on a run I think they could go no you don't no you don't You know that for a fucking sake yes, I do I met some of the boys. I like to revive exactly Yeah, so I I hate work to came Hayward was eating a salad at 8 o 7 do. I've met some of the boys. I like their vibes. Exactly. Yeah. So I hope so too. Cam Hayward was eating a salad at 8 o' 7 PM. Post Malone concert. Jelly Roll concert. He's locked in, dialed in. I've never seen somebody, and I've said this before,
Starting point is 03:05:15 with a T in their position in football, eating a salad at a concert at 8 o' 7 PM in front of everybody. When there was chicken nuggies available chicken wings available pizza was available there was some little egg roll things little sandwiches were available I mean you're talking cam would be great I don't know Rodgy was slinging at the end of last year yeah yes he was remember he was starting true too yeah fucking cast them spells on me see why's y'all you gotta do that cuz now I don't think he's because dude it's just no I'm pumped I'm sure it's gonna be one of
Starting point is 03:05:53 these things where it's gonna come to November and I'm gonna remember this moment right here this is fun just like holy fuck the offseason so bad that team that he's got on his hat that won three games last year is gonna win 12 this year I I think if you look at the schedule is much easier and I would almost bet that yes we'll be better than the Steelers but again just like I'm saying with you our guys are eating salads 807 your guys are on boats doing drugs it doesn't matter either way because there's what, 5-16s that can win the Super Bowl? 7 maybe?
Starting point is 03:06:30 Well, I'll tell you what, if this guy's spinning it at UCLA, Seth Hutt? Seth Hutt? Is this new? 3-19, you tell me if that looks new. Yeah, good as yesterday and a month before. What was that story through football, we all know. We have no idea. Mike Stutdell played Good as yesterday and a month before Once I threw a football wheel enough
Starting point is 03:06:45 We have no idea Mike stud don't play baseball at Duke right? I bet Mike studs running Yep, quite a few posts a couple of these. Yeah a couple of these. Mm-hmm couple of these Late hands be like DK so he gets up on some stilts Maybe it gets the the you know know the paperclip legs. Are you talking about Forrest Gump? Poor little Ting Ting. Oh no you're talking Samurai Swordless. I still don't know why he was alive.
Starting point is 03:07:19 Be your friend tell a friend something nice that's what we're gonna do here. Not our friend but hopefully understand why he was allowed to race against everybody else. Yeah, I mean, he should have been. Definitely not our friend. He's a piece of shit. Yeah, he tightened that thing up, too. Maybe power drill. We're talking about the real. Yeah. Yeah. Fourth race of the day.
Starting point is 03:07:39 He's just had a pit crew. Never won any of them. Once again, it didn't matter in the end. He did win. I mean, to get the Olympics. RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP RIP guys fucking lap in the field in the 400. Put a fucking governor on the guy. Yeah, they did. He took the restrictor plate off for qualifiers. So you like, you know, in hockey, you know, in hockey, you like you have so much bend on the stick. Yep. They monitor that.
Starting point is 03:08:19 Same thing with those. Exactly. This guy cannot have a full fucking trajectory. See you down there. Never get a cramp in his calf now ever never never ever turn his kill He's feet never getting tired never hurting any like that's all I Thought I thought he was gonna win someone's a little bit ahead of a beacon fucking slice their Achilles with the tip of his Watch him go down lunch yeah exactly I Didn't a lot of runners think about cutting their legs off no with the tip of his, you know. Watch him go down. Lunge. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 03:08:45 I didn't a lot of runners think about cutting their legs off? No. A couple of them did. I assume there's people thinking about it. I don't think they're reporters. On purpose? I thought I saw them. No, I think it was just conversation you started here.
Starting point is 03:08:56 No, I thought. Yeah, I think it was conversation you started. They changed the rules after they cut him off, I think. They both said they cut his legs off. All right. Let's get out of here. We would like everybody to thrive. Do your thing.
Starting point is 03:09:04 Yeah. We'll be in Cary, North thing. Yeah, we'll be in Kerry, North Carolina It's gonna be electrifying. I think I'm gonna do a I got some things happen in Friday Saturday as well But I think I'll be able to I think what's about to happen it just a standard week for me Right, you know, I talk about this. Yeah, this is just standard week They're really better week in my life You know I think I'm gonna post about it though like live thread about what my life is at the time because I would like people to Experience it with me and also understand that it's also stupid like when oh
Starting point is 03:09:37 Those on a rundown here in North Carolina We there Okay Oh, yeah Okay, D, but in the piss earlier and it's good you but I was like, hey, what's the biggest game you play? Oh FC Championship, would you let pills in comparison? But clear enough Carolina so can't wait. Why are you doing? I did say that word shit word in the back What happened? I said that D, but was the biggest football game you ever played in your life He said ASC championship. Okay, that's gonna panel in comparison of what you're gonna see and carry at TST
Starting point is 03:10:14 I'll tell you what you're gonna get lost on her. Can't wait. You're gonna get lost in a like post mom gets lost in his lyrics Do you win that game? You got cheated. Yeah, we did run it back I Did you win that game? We got cheated. Yeah, we did. All right, let's go wait for running back. I don't know if we want to do that either. I've been seeing some of the guys on our team at that point. It was also disproven.
Starting point is 03:10:32 It wasn't cheating at all. No, Bill Nye the science guy told me. The liberal? What? What? Butch Bill Nye. What are you talking about? Butch only one Bill Nye.
Starting point is 03:10:44 Oh no, I know a couple. I said the science guy. Oh, oh. What are you talking about? What's only one deal? I know a couple I said the science guy Oh, what are you talking about? But what I don't even know. No. No, I got this proven by actually recipe sports science guy Hey legit rest of her shoot. Yeah, shoot rest in peace. He changed. I mean that changed sports coverage there Yeah legitimately great and it got this proven because they did PSI test from the deflate gate game for every which they never did before the deflate gate game for every single game in 2015 the year after and every single game that The degrees dropped from the start of the game to the end of the game the PSI change So that's not what I heard from potential political. I don't know what side affiliated
Starting point is 03:11:23 Potential political, I don't know what side affiliated. No, I'm thinking of a different bill. I don't know. I don't know. I assume Bill Nye is potentially on the side that you said, but I'm not 100% sure. I just know Bill Nye came out and said- Might be the conservative too. I don't know. I ran the numbers.
Starting point is 03:11:35 I ran the numbers. This is cheating. And four years later you get a suspension. Yeah. And then the entire season the next year, they ran the same test and they realized, yeah, it's not true And then he has one Two more cheese graduate in the motivation. They need it. That's all they needed. They're down there in North Carolina that crew
Starting point is 03:11:55 What crew who and Bill and the boys no Bellagic in the bowl. Oh, you're right Well, it'd be kind of a different crew. But yeah for the most part. I Think there's a lot of the members of, but yeah. For the most part. I think there's a lot of the members of the crew that are in it. How far is it? How far is Chapel Hill? From like Ohio or? From Cary, from Cary.
Starting point is 03:12:13 I think we're in the ballpark there. Stone's throw. Maybe he's doing like the anthem or something. Bill? Yeah. That'd be a good way to kick it off. You're the greatest. All right.
Starting point is 03:12:26 This is the last show from the Hallidome. Okay. I think we fall on the Hallidome. I think we fall on the Hallidome. I like that. I like that. I don't know. I like you either.
Starting point is 03:12:36 We're not the other boys though. I hate it. This is the Thunderdome. We can't be scared. We're going to see the Hallidome. What are we living in our fears for? This isn't us. That reminds me, there's a lot of good Hallie memes out there. True. It's the Thunderdome. We can't be scared. We're going to see Alpha Dome. What are we living in our fears for?
Starting point is 03:12:45 This isn't us. That reminds me, there's a lot of good Halley memes out there. Yeah, exactly. The Halle Dome probably has a lot of different connotations right now. Yeah, well, they're putting other things after Halle a lot.
Starting point is 03:12:56 And I'm sick and tired of seeing Tyrese dressed up like Osama Bin Laden. Stop doing that. Okay, I get it's funny. I, ha ha ha ha. I'm sick and tired of seeing open it up my end thinking wait Is that oh, no, that's not I release with Osama bin Laden's beard and turban on I'm sick I don't know. I don't get it. I call him the halibut. Yeah, mr. Haliband
Starting point is 03:13:23 Think about his dad exactly his dad opened up back say I'm proud of my boy and yeah she's what we see you leaning into that i don't think he's out of the area is absent some shape yeah yes she's also i mean is what's like the young star in the uh... social media age yes the jokes are going to fly and if one catches everybody everybody's gonna run with it.
Starting point is 03:13:47 That's why I saw a lot of people worrying about Cooper Flag. He's gonna be a great player. He made 28 million? No chance. In like your first 10 games, I think. Yeah, and I signed a 10 day with the Pacer. When this number gets reported, you know, like it's just like,
Starting point is 03:14:06 Nai-Jari? Nai-Jari? Kennedy? When this number gets reported, you know, like it's just like, uh, Naya, uh, Naya, Nizari, Nizari, Kennedy, they're saying she's making a million bucks. It's like, how do we know that? What if it's more? Could be. If it's less, you know, how do we, they just kind of ballpark what it potentially is. I don't know how you know, like Cooper flag, how much money is he getting from Duke? How much money is he getting from collective? How much money is he getting
Starting point is 03:14:23 from local deal? Shoe's like how much, like is he, he Duke? How much money is he getting from Collective? How much money is he getting from local businesses? Shoes? Like how much, like is he, he made 28 million, congrats to him. That's crazy. That's a lot of money. I'm not stuck around.
Starting point is 03:14:32 Yeah, why would you go to the NBA? That's something to think about, which is happening in college football, which is why all these quarterbacks are growing older, cause they're getting offered two, three, four million dollars to transfer, as opposed to going to the NFL and be a third rounder. Third rounder, fourth rounder, do I want to to do that or do I want to transfer and get four million from this place play college
Starting point is 03:14:49 Football again, maybe one national championship. It's like it's affecting football for sure the amount of money can make but if Cooper flag He's making 28 million at Duke. It's like holy shit You start looking at the future for a lot of these you like swag ooze kid. Yeah He's got like so much but you hear his personality He's Mike Mike up at the team USA thing be loved it seemed like by his teammates great personality obviously very well connected in the world and swag who might have a His daughter I think is like the number one volleyball player isn't she yeah The son is now team USA basketball players a teenager. It's like I think his wife former WNBA player
Starting point is 03:15:26 Yeah, I believe we looked it up. Yep, and to him he was Frown pick top top football and basketball recruit come on. I didn't know you stopped basketball. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's an athlete man He's great. I enjoy his personality too. He's not on TV a lot though because I think he's raising professional athletes. Yeah He's not on TV a lot though, because I think he's raising professional athletes. Yeah. Keep going, Swaggy. Let's go parenting. I hope to be a part of that someday.
