Hello beautiful people and welcome to beautiful Cary, North Carolina for TSD 2025.
This program starts right now.
Kakeifa is happening here in beautiful Cary, North Carolina and although it is a glorious sports complex, this wake bed soccer park and although the turnout is
spectacular here for a soccer tournament where there will be one
million dollars on the line for the winning team it is hot as shit down
here we're talking about humidity at about a hundred and ten percent we're
talking about high 80s low 90s we're talking about the beginning of summer in
a beautiful way here with one million dollars on the line my team concave SC
Debuted a whole new squad this morning 10 a.m. We took on Bournemouth led by Josie
Altidore who will be joining us on this particular program today, and we won three to one don't look now
Concave SC is hunting the bag concave SC is back we got new stars we
got new names same attitude same great any arena boys are crushing that's
porch new edition lays it off to regret Zach gets his first goal of conca calf
yeah I actually told him the starting seven for the first goal win $500 each it wasn't until the second half meet
Former all TST team last year gets on the board early hits a gritty celebrates his life
They were in Azerbaijan last week representing the United States of America and then in target score time
Manny let Desma hits a game winner 25 seconds into target score time. Don't
want to act like I've been a good coach or a good motivator but I talked to Manny
right there and going into TST target score time and I said buddy, let one
crack. He scored against us last year when he was on Cincinnati. It was
electrifying. We said we need him on our team. We also got a guy named Drew
Ruggles. Ruggles has dreads that have been growing for 13 years.
Two years ago when he was on Newtown, had the assist for the million dollar goal.
Last year he played on Nani's team.
This year he's playing for Concafe.
And then Porch, old buddy on the back right corner of this particular graphic behind Ruggles,
he scored the million dollar goal last year to win this entire thing.
So our team is stacked. Our team is loaded and we're looking to win this a lot of great competition
Oh, yeah, not a great people Seamus is even here representing a German team
He'll be stopping by this particular program what Patty maroon via FaceTime to talk about the NHL Stanley Cup finals
Which are starting this evening
we'll talk about all the sports happening around the world while standing in about 150 degree heat and we're lucky to do it. It's not just me here. One half of the hammer, done!
Cowboys AP Tone is here. Tone, welcome to TST, pal.
It's awesome. It feels like when we were young and we were at soccer tournaments when there was anywhere from
ages four all the way up to 16 playing for like state championships and stuff like that.
It's awesome out here. The team is awesome. The Armistice artists formerly known as Red Boots,
now wearing black boots, also had a hell of a game. The boys are loaded from like the guys that
everybody knows like Grella and Zat and all those guys. They actually they were like, hey, you guys,
you arena boilers, you guys do what you need to do up front. We're just gonna hold it down back here. Well, this team is going for it.
Yeah, we are. We're trying to put a little pressure on and Tony Miola did some good coaching.
Yeah, always.
And Tab Ramos, obviously a guy who is a Mount Rushmore United States player.
I've done a lot of research and learned about him over the last like 48 hours after I found out he was gonna be coaching on our team.
He's a dog. His boy, Alex?
Oh, yeah. Influencer in the soccer world. And then obviously Coach Gump, he was going to be coaching on our team. He's a dog. His boy, Alex. Oh yeah. Influencer in the soccer.
And then obviously coach Gump. He was doing his thing today.
Of course.
Chirped the ref one time.
Think the refs actually had a good first game. Yeah,
I felt like it.
Now the Bournemouth team started getting a little chippy cause they started
getting a little tired. Sure. Now I did warn them that our team will fight you.
Oh yeah. Our team is not scared to fight you. That is kind of our thing actually.
So Bournemouth backed off
It was a great gentleman's game handshake to them. We move on undefeated
Let's go to the toxic table at Boston corner and at Ty Schmidt comment
I see the chain do you have the vibes of a soccer fan this week?
Yeah, I'm definitely one of the concave of crazies. You know, it feels good to be able to sit up here watch the game
I'm glad you guys were on this field. Lot of new names.
You know, you mentioned the back porch.
He's a great player.
Lime green boots, also known as Pacheco.
Also known as Waterbug.
He's a hell of a player.
He's all over the place.
And the boys try, you know, Brec Shea.
I think that's the biggest thing.
Brec Shea has given it his all out there.
You mentioned Led Zehma,
which I definitely just screwed his name up. Led Zehma. Led Zehma. Led there. You mentioned Led Zehma, which I definitely just screwed his name up.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma.
Led Zehma. Led Zehma. Led Zehma. Led Zehma. Led Zehma. high energy and they are young guys. There are old guys Brexhe and there are everybody in between. I would like to see a little more from Grela, guy who's asking
for 20k to play. He's going out there and basically just cutting grass.
Remember we're past that. I don't know, he's cutting grass with his cleats. That's all I saw.
It's a long tournament. There's a lot of subs. We're playing a deep rotation this year.
We learned from Coach Karla. year. We were like Tibbs
Not a lot of subbing we're very only playing a few guys
Today everybody was in everybody was in rotating because it's a lot of soccer left, which I know you're excited for Taj Yeah, absolutely. I mean, it's great seeing the boys again, you know, I know I'm not on the roster
But last year, you know, I feel like we really ingratiated with the entire team. Like Tony mentioned, I almost had a heart attack up here when I saw
Mario Alvarez come out.
My favorite player, Red Boots.
He's not wearing Red Boots this year.
He's wearing Black Boots, but boy, did he look good.
And you're right.
I mean, this is a, this is a who's who of, you know, soccer sensations
when it comes to TST.
What a luxury to be able every seven you got out there.
Hey, they might be the best seven on the pitch.
You know, I mean, it's, you know, everyone, hey, they might be the best seven on the pitch. True.
I mean, it's, you know, everyone's trying to win.
There's Black Boots right there, actually.
And what a touch by Black Boots.
And what a touch by me.
Go time.
Exactly.
So that's just a little taste.
When you can do that, you know, any time you're out on the pitch,
Conquefa's going deep in this thing.
They are.
There's just no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Yeah, I love everything that you're saying.
And you know, I talked about the boys playing mini football over in azerbaijan sure last week. It did not go well
Yeah, I guess the boys are coming off quite an ass beating hungry
Quite an ass beating and i as a by jaan
I think there was a couple medical incidents that happened over there as well
Oh, no, we're talking about fresh out of a bad experience ready to have a great one
I appreciate the hell out of these Arena League boys and everybody else back for
Conkaifa.
Let's go to a man who's a college football national champion, a Super Bowl
champion, a Ryder Cup winner, and an avid soccer enthusiast. Ladies and gentlemen,
AJ Hawk is here. Hawker, welcome back to Cary, North Carolina.
A little bit of a crowd has built here. It's pretty wild actually.
They're up on the hill too, Foxy, if you turn that thing left,
it's gotta be a thousand degrees out there.
It has gotta be a thousand degrees up on this hill.
And yeah, we appreciate you guys.
Yeah, look at this crew.
Oh yeah.
A lot of these people are being forced to listen to us too.
They got speakers going everywhere throughout the entire park.
We appreciate you bearing with us
for the next couple hours as we enjoy
the hell out of Cary, North Carolina.
Great to be back though, Age.
This place is unbelievable. It's so nice. The people are cool.
I get back to gameplay. The goal, our second half goalie today, you can't punt it and you can't what drop kick it.
He did like a sidewinder kick. He almost scored a goal. Yeah, new rule. Yeah, he punted it and tried to score.
Oh, I thought he was getting around the rules somehow. Immediately upon getting onto the field, Phil E.
Okay, who is an absolute dog.
I don't want to give anything away, but after the tournament,
we'll talk about what Phil E. is battling through right now.
Okay.
Just know that he's not 100%.
Okay.
But it doesn't matter, cuz Phil E. is gonna be able to figure it out.
But yeah, I like he put a stamp on it.
As soon as he got the ball, I'm punting his thing to full length of the field.
New rule this year, can't do that.
No rule, he can't do that.
He had to make an unbelievable, unbelievable athletic save.
He did a couple great throws down the sideline, too.
Yeah, Phil E. is a powerhouse. Yeah, Phil E's a powerhouse.
Yeah.
Phil E's former goalie of the year in the MASL.
Stonewall, too.
By Stoner in the first half, big stop.
Stoner, yeah.
Also had a big time pass.
So the difference here, for those that are following along,
Arena League boys play indoor, OK?
Five on five with a goalie.
Goalie has to be able to play with their feet,
because they are an added player.
So goal smaller. So goalie has to be able to play with their feet because they are an added player. So like goal smaller, so goalie has to be able to stop shots, but goalie has
to be able to play with their feet because how small the field is, how many limited amount
of people there are. Now that's why meat is wearing a pinny right there because meat,
one of our players, would go back and play goalie in target score time because it adds
an offensive player to the field. If they can stop balls as meat did last year, good.
Stoner is an outdoor goalie. Sure. Used to the big field, not used to having to
play with his feet. I think this last year he's worked on his feet,
understanding what situation is. Stoner's standing on his head and he's making big
outlet passes. Feels like we got better all around the pitch as Drip FC fouls the
shit out of somebody to start this entire thing. Nine-year NFL vet Darius J. Butler is here. Yes, sir.
D-Butch.
D-Butch, is this your first time in a soccer tournament?
Yes, sir.
First time ever, and it's been electric.
And regardless of the sport, one thing,
the first thing you look at is when the guys get off the bus.
And looking at your squad off the bus,
see a lot of big guys, physicality, big fellas.
And they play well, man.
AJ was over here suggesting maybe some new rules,
maybe a two-point play from behind me. From like the suggesting maybe some new rules, maybe a two point play from Miami.
From like the 50 yard line, give me a two point goal.
Yeah, I think it's not a bad idea.
Yeah, that would be electric,
but it's been electric so far, man.
Glad we started off with a win,
looking forward to a deep run this year.
Yeah, there's a chance you can hit a deep ball too,
because the goalies are out playing with their feet.
I mean, their goalie was almost trapped
all the way in the other half.
And if we were able to take advantage of that score,
hello, we're talking about Marshy, you know,
with the empty end, sending that thing from coast to coast,
which is what we really need in the entirety.
It's a beautiful tournament.
It's a beautiful city and it's a miss shot.
Can't do that against our team.
I'll tell you.
Can't do that.
I mean, you just get that out of the way.
The first half though of these games,
I think everybody's kind of feeling it out.
Yep. Yeah.
Like our team was even feeling it out.
Still much more crisp though.
Our team? Definitely. Yeah. We had preseason. We had a preseason. So we had three
scrimmages on Monday. As opposed to our first game in the tournament being our
hey let's play for the first time together. We did that on Monday and I
heard the first game that we played on Monday,
horrid. Okay. Heard absolutely horrid. Boys had no idea what to do. Second game we
got it together. Third game, now we're playing ball.
So in the first half, we had to figure it out
against another team.
We were sitting, I think we dominated ball control.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I think it was like 18 minutes to two minutes
we had the ball.
We just weren't able to crack.
We weren't able to get in.
And then in the second half, we knew once we had a move in,
boys were going to hunt.
Is there any Paxonet talk in that situation?
So a lot of me yelling, I don't know if you hear me going,
yeah.
I mean, that is me telling him.
RIP one.
Let's rip one.
Yeah, we're trying to think about having one here.
You know?
One of that?
Yeah, exactly.
That's what we were yelling about up here.
What did it sound like when you said it?
Just like, hey, me, maybe think about having one here.
Maybe want to have one here.
You know, any time he's got the ball on the field.
Did he hear you or no, you think?
I heard.
A couple times, I think he did.
Yeah, I think he knows any time I think he knows anytime he's got possession
He's kind of thinking about he might want to have one meat is a lot of the light
Yeah, having one is shoot boots if we all boots boots boots boots. That's like hey get the ball down look center
There might be someone with their boots out
Back door Connors also really big on marketing a guy now. Yeah. Yeah., yeah. Good Mark. Good Mark. Mark one. Mark one.
I heard Phil say that earlier.
And I thought, that's pretty cool.
I like that.
Mark is just playing, getting somebody.
Yeah, yeah.
Good Mark.
Good Mark.
Is it man to man?
Is it like man to man sack dog or some type of zone?
We run some zone, inside out zone.
OK.
But also man to man, whenever they get,
when they're running, you have to pick somebody up.
You have to mark somebody.
You got to mark, man.
Yeah, it's a big deal. So it's a zone transition in the man like, you know, it's a
It's a cover man. It's no match
Let's talk about some of the other sports that are happening around us tonight the nhl stanley cup finals begin and congratulations
To the florida ponters making it back and representing the Eastern Conference. Yes! We beat the shit out of the Cady-Ans!
Yes! Yes!
Oh no!
Hey, real quick, real quick.
Another great run by the Carolina Hurricanes.
Hey!
This won't be able to get over the hump, potentially.
That is a fear.
But you have to be able to lose in those big moments to be able to get over the hump potentially. That is a fear. But you have to be able to lose in those big moments
to be able to win in those big moments.
Caroline hurricanes are on the up and up,
like they were last year and the year before that.
Exactly.
And the year before that.
And the year before that.
But they will.
They will continue to go.
And we respect the hell out of the Caniacs,
which there are certainly many of them here representing today.
Right down the road in Raleigh, we are currently in Cary.
I believe this is a triangle area of the two really smart schools.
Oh, okay. Durham's down the road, which is Duke. UNC is very, very close, obviously. NC
State, basically where we're at.
That is Wake Forest.
Yeah, Chapel Hill.
Oh, yeah. This is Wake Med. Is Wake right around there too?
I assume Wake Forest is around here.
Yeah, I think Wake Forest is the one who opened up that little town we were in last night. Oh, it's a very wonderful place.
There's a couple restaurants there you should probably steer clear from.
I wasn't sure if we wanted to get into this.
I didn't know if the first night we're in town we should talk about it.
Okay.
We can wait, but I just want to make sure.
I did tell them, I did tell the best person in that entire restaurant.
Without a doubt.
There was one hero that came into that restaurant and saved our life.
Yeah.
We just asked if you could take our group.
They decided to take our group.
Sure.
They didn't tell the servers or the chefs.
No.
Servers and chefs were not happy that they took our group
as later they took our group.
Very nice steakhouse.
Worst experience I've ever had.
No questions asked.
What happened?
Pardon on.
No questions asked.
Like food wasn't great or?
Food didn't, what are you talking about? Yeah, operation. It was just it's kind of why you went there
Yeah, yeah, we just wanted food water. This particular restaurant is known across the nation for being very good
Very good. They fell away fell on the shoulders one one man. Yes
Big party and when they were probably about to close
the chef and everyone. The chef's room. Bringing a big party in when they were probably about to close
and they thought they were done. Check, clocking out.
Everybody was clocking out of the restaurant. They hate that guy
so much. And then somebody said, no problem.
You can definitely serve you.
Nobody told them they were still working though.
So you know, water, 60, 70 minutes
later. Just water.
That's all we wanted. Apps, don't even
think about it. We're out. We're out.
We don't have that. Don't have that. It was a very
prominent place you went. Like I've heard of the place you yes very
much thanks so you served us the shrimp cocktail
Raleigh was beautiful it was beautiful it's a nice little if you need to ask
you'll never know anyways Florida Panthers beat the hell out of the
Carolina Hurricanes they go to they go to Stanley Cup finals
take on the Edmonton Oilers here big Stanley Cup final tonight now obviously
they are looking to go back to back this Florida Panthers team there's only been
seven or eight teams I believe who have gone back to back you're talking about a
dynastic run here a run that'll be talked about forever
whenever you talk about the Stanley Cup.
When you go back to back on Lordo,
obviously because they put everybody's name on there,
you take up some real real estate on the Stanley Cup.
So whenever Howard or Harold,
hard-nosed Harold,
Howie,
when Howie is walking that Stanley Cup around the globe
to all the different events and places,
you're gonna see your team taking up a massive piece
of that Stanley Cup.
Only the great teams, the teams that are considered
the greatest of all time, have been able to go back to back.
Three straight finals, obviously.
Congratulations to the Florida Panthers for that.
Will they be able to go back to back?
We shall see.
Kachuk's a dog.
Yes.
Bob's a beast in the net.
Everything they stand for, we love. Hockey loves. Marshy will fight you still at
this age. That entire team will. But they're taking on a guy who has Jesus
Christ in his nickname. Yeah. You're taking on Mick Jesus. This Connor
McDavid guy. He's faster than everybody else on the ice somehow and it looks
like he's playing against children whenever he has the puck on his stick. It makes no sense. He's so
talented that the NHL actually asked him to put together the talent portion and
the skill portion of the All-Star Game. Hey what do you do? What do you think
would be a good talent? What do you think would be fun to work on? That's what we'll
do at the All-Star Game. He's special. He is so incredible and he has carried
this Edmonton Oilers team on his back for the last couple years.
Last year they weren't able to get it done. This year can they? That is the storyline and I think we got a good one going in the finals.
It gives me huge, and obviously we were following the team so it's easier to speak on, 08-09 for years and years and years the Red Wings were basically like the Florida Panthers, where they were absolutely dominant. We had a young studded Sydney Crosby and Gino Malkin,
who come in, first time they play him in the cup.
Sid doesn't touch the trophy after the conference finals.
They lose the first cup to Detroit.
They make it all the way back the next year
to face them again.
Touches the conference final cup that time,
and then Sid and Gino and the boys,
Flower made a huge save. They get the cup in cup that time and then Sid and Gino and the boys, Flower made a huge save.
They get the cup in their second time.
But like the McDavid-Sid comparison as far as like going up against the Big Bad Wolf
as the Panthers are being the best, most skilled player in the league,
it kind of feels like that 0-8-0-9 situation.
Yeah, I'm not worried about it at all.
You were worried about the Carolina Hurricanes there, Oskar.
I saw you sweating tough. It was not. You were worried about Carolina Hurricanes. I saw you sweating.
It was not.
You were sweating.
At all.
The game that I was able to make it to, we beat there, I think, 6-2.
But that's where they fall short.
But this is our third time in the final.
And the boys are ready to run it back.
Obviously, McDavid is, I won't call him McJesus, but Jesus was not Canadian.
Can't wait to rip Canada's heart out one more time.
I can't wait to get back around Lord Stanley too.
I missed it when he came into the studio,
but we'll touch that thing again, pause.
You mentioned Chucky.
It starts with our captain, Barky.
Barky just wanted another, what's the award he just wanted?
Selkie?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
So he's too defensive forward.
Yeah, he's an absolute dog.
Obviously, we added Marshy, we added Jonesy, so we added Depp to the core guys that's best. Yeah, that's best. So he's doing defensive forward. Yeah. Yep, he's an absolute dog. Obviously, we added Marshy.
We added Jonesy.
So we added Depp to the core guys that are there.
Never run it back, man.
The good news is it'll be a great game tonight.
Like, this will be phenomenal to watch.
This will be incredible entertainment.
And they'll be physical as shit.
And Edmonton knows that that's going to happen as well.
Yeah, Bingo, you just wonder if they can kind of block out
the rats of Florida.
Gumpy mentioned it throughout the entire series
of Edmonton and Dallas.
It's coming down to Stu Scan, baby.
If the Edmonton goalie, Stu Scanner, who was benched,
came in in relief, now has turned it back on,
if he can continue to play well, then all of a sudden
we might be talking about the Edmonton Oilers
kind of going on a run here,
fulfilling Connor McDavid's uh destiny for glory but you know Brad Marsh and a lot of past guys
they added up he was born to be a Florida Panther says Kichuck that has to hurt up there in Boston
you guys just trade him out he's gonna go win another Stanley Cup let's go back to the truck
Nicky Skates you have some thoughts on tonight? Yeah, but you go. Oh what a setup
Many buttons you have yeah slide them
Yeah, you guys covered it pretty well
But I mean obviously the big story being mcjesus and dry saddle the dynamic duo at Edmonton something that's being discussed on the internet and
We've seen the perennial run here by Tampa Bay. They go three years in a row now
Florida's gone three years in a row.
Tampa Bay used a lot of tactics of putting guys
on the long-term IR and stashing them into the playoffs.
That is going to be addressed allegedly
by the CBA negotiations potentially.
And some of the owners getting together in the offseason.
Something they're talking about now,
and it's mostly led by upset Toronto fans like Paul Bissonnette,
is teams that have no state income
tax do they have an advantage in the league yes yes they do have been able to do this teams that
are in Canada do you have a tax massive disadvantage yeah yes yes you you want to win a cup change the
tax you know that's uh Biz saying listen Florida's able to just knock off 8% of the state income tax 6% What's that all about?
I'm pitching about it now. Is that a new road? We just changed the income tax rules. They're like, it's been around a long time
How much Tennessee Nashville?
To do the Texas do right then Texas. Yeah
Remember Washington, Nevada. Yeah, Nevada
What a Arizona even though they just got rid of their
team think Indiana needs to do that yeah I agree I just got a text from Johnny
Damon sponsoring drip FC hey man I'm just saying hi I'm out here sponsoring my
team drip FC we're on the field behind you just wanted to say what's up see Johnny David where is he? He was fitting a program. Do, coach for Drip FC is wearing a full suit, so something
else to maybe think about.
Straight ahead, straight across.
I love that.
Right at the 50.
I'm just waving.
He's just waving.
He's a red socks legend.
Look for a guy holding a baseball bat.
Yeah.
Speaking of, hold on now.
Let's talk about that.
You're going to be here.
That's a good transition.
Shout out to US Baseball dropping off some swag.
They are located, I believe, in Cary, North Carolina.
Is that accurate?
Yeah, I believe so.
Okay, our US baseball team, we lost to Japan, right?
Yes.
In the Superdipper.
World Baseball Class Sixes.
Hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey, hey!
Oh, yeah!
Shavis!
Miss Earl, honestly.
Okay, guys, for the next best thing,

Frost, here, you know? Frost, here, you know? Hey, yeah, he's got the handheld neck
I'm allergic stay away stay away save the bees. Thank you, sir
I got bad news. B wants to booze a little bit.
Cheers, Seamus.
Seamus has SPF 250 on.
Smart.
That's a smart decision.
Hey, use that.
You want to give a toast?
How do you say it in German, you guys?
Prost!
Prost!
What's that?
Prost.
You're not going to give a toast at all, or anything?
Salud.
Cheers.
Prost.
You should give a toast.
You should give a toast.
I should?
Yeah, yeah.

What is that beers this is one of those like super flavorful beers where the brewer says I put my heart my soul K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O-K-H-O- drink Guinness but the Germans definitely will head drink beer. Yeah beer spines right that's what they do. This is going today. So you have a chair extra chair there?
Where are you gonna sit? No no no. Slide down one. You got a headset right there. Oh perfect.
This is kind of like a labat with a Coors Light kind of a perfect combo. It's delicious. It's a good way of
phrasing it. Yeah. That went down real smooth, I was supposed to maybe play in that second game tonight
Why would I do that?
Trip FC
David's boys came to play. You know what saw him off the bus. Okay, welcome to the show Seamus
It is an honor to have you we appreciate you. You're currently acting as the team representative of what's team Russia Dortmund
Who?
Russia Dortmund Russia and
Russia Dortmund BBB. What's team? Russia Dortmund. Who? Russia Dortmund. Russia and Dortmund. Russia Dortmund. BVB. What's he saying? BVB. OI! OI! OI! BVB. OI! OI! OI! Is this one of your favourite teams? Well because I'm a Liverpool fan my whole life during during the pandemic when everything was shut down. There's some Liverpool fans here.
The Bundesliga was the only league that was on at the time.
So with the club connection with Liverpool and Dortmund and the both teams embracing
you'll never walk alone, it was an easy pick for me.
So I've had a great relationship with Dortmund over the last five, six years.
So I'm proud to represent them here today.
OK, so Dortmund actually came and gave us a bunch of food last year I love the way their team operate what it's like a big family
business you know that people don't realize that that was filthy that
answer yeah Goldzollah they cross one in head-to-head There it is. Shit! Gozala! You're close!
Cross in, header off the post and in.
Do we have that?
I wonder if we'll be able to pull it up.
It was in the background while we were talking there.
That's wonderful news.
There it is.
Here's the replay.
Here it is.
Beautiful.
Bottom corner, no chance for the goalkeeper.
Did you play?
Did you guys, have you played yet?
Dortmund? No, I practiced with the team yesterday. Good crack. I was in goal.
Had a laugh. But obviously I'm not allowed to play in the tournament from
WB's perspective, so they don't want me getting hurt. So I'm on the sideline
jeering them up, you know, giving them a bit of motivation. Have you guys played
yet? We played a game this morning. Yeah. How'd it go? How'd it go? Didn't go
too good. Oh no. Who'd you play? Who'd you play? What was the name of that team again?
They were good.
Freedom United.
Freedom United.
What was the final score?
3-2.
Oh, okay.
Not bad.
That's a good battle.
First half, we weren't great, but we settled down in the second.
It was 1-0 halftime to them and we came back.
But with another game here at 6.45, so I feel like the wheels are starting to turn now to
be all right.
I feel they're going to do OK.
You have a lot of confidence in your team.
I do. They're a great bunch of lads. Honestly, great bunch of lads.
They're representing the crest.
1999, that team was established.
So there's a lot of responsibility on their shoulders, but I think they're going to roll it out.
OK, well, I don't think that's the case.
What's your team again? Conca... Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca,
Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca,
Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca,

Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca,
Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca,
Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca,
Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, Conca, We got Concave merch out here. We got people sending vids. Look we got a Concave scarf up there.
What's that?
Huh?
Boom!
That's our weed but they're all plants.
All of them are plants.
You paid them off Patty.
I know you have.
To be clear, Zach, the kid who had the first goal for us, his mom made this tank top.
Tone Diggs got these from TST.
They're the ice things.
And I don't have a single scarf in my possession. So
All contrary we're moving merch over here. Okay, you better hope for Dortmund's sake that we don't try to get into bundesliga
Because if I want to bring a team over to bundesliga, we're going to be
Sprecher, geig and all over the place
Getting tall getting tall concave up on keifa. Uh, let's talk. It's great. By the way, I have to say uh, grazie um Thank you're saying.
And rightly so.
I'm embarrassed by that.
How long you?
I agree.
It sounds awesome.
How long have you been with the WWE?
18 years now, a year and a half developmentally.
I'm coming up to my 16th year on June 30th this year.
Congratulations.
I appreciate it.
Let's talk about it.
Obviously a lot of turnover, a lot of change in those 18 years in WWE.
Obviously the internet was ablaze this week whenever we all found out that R-Truth's contract
was expiring soon and that he was not going to be with us falling forward from his own
announcement.
Also Carlito.
Carlito came out and I didn't think I saw that so a couple days later, I love Carlito.
He's a bad apple.
Yeah he is.
Carlito's a bad apple. Yeah, he is. Carlito's a bad apple.
But R-Truth and Carlito have been with the WWE
for so damn long.
Been pillars of the WWE, have been so entertaining,
have been beloved by the WWE universe for so long.
Obviously there was a loud reaction to that
in a negative way.
18 years you've been there.
There's been a lot of turnover.
And I think that's something that we come
from the NFL world.
Okay, we'll have a friend that we're on the Colts with and we're
eating lunch with him. This guy's a professional football player. He's made millions
of dollars. He's on the Indianapolis Colts. I'm having lunch with him. He goes
to a meeting. I go to a meeting. I never see the guy again. He got cut. He got in
in our world like people move on. You don't have a job forever. It's like you
do get cut. You have to learn and just kind of do. In the WWE, it's kind of similar,
but I think people fall in love with the superstar so much.
It's harder to move on from people.
What are your thoughts in perspective
on the business as a whole?
Do you think guys know when it's time?
Do you think it's always, like,
what are your thoughts on it all?
Sometimes people don't know.
Look, you know, from a perspective of what we do, entertainment, like it's about entertaining
the fans and people like, I'm sure in NFL, you know, fans see that the player like interviews
and everything and they see what he does in the field.
But for our perspective, what we do, the fans get to know who that person is and they get
to fall in love with the character and the personality.
Like for Truth, example, like he's one of the most beloved because he's one of the most entertaining.
I had my first dark match against him when I came up.
In 07, I think 08, I joined in 07, 08,
I came up with the road for dark.
Or Truth had just come back after he was with the company,
he went to TNA, he came back again.
So we had a dark match together on the road
and from then we bonded.
That fellow walking in the dressing room and it's just laugh, you know, like it's that fellow walking in
the dressing room and it's just laugh.
He's got a contagious laugh that would just like light up the room, but you don't, there's
no way of knowing, man.
You just got to go out there and do what you can.
And sometimes you can't tell when that time is.
A lot of guys come back though.
Like that's the wrestling business.
Yeah.
Like so even more so now with how many opportunities there are elsewhere and it feels like it's
only growing. I mean, let alone like AAA getting bought up by WWE and TKO.
That partnership, what they're going to do, the amount of money probably going to be invested
in there.
TNA seemingly all the way back.
Obviously AEW still rolling.
They broke a record of some sort.
There's so many opportunities, but there's always a road back to WWE.
It's not the end.
It's not the end.
So many people, so many guys and girls have left and come back.
It's not the end.
Like it's a bit of, sometimes it's a bit of a break and there's no way
True is not going to come back at some stage.
I'm sure you'll see him again.
Like that's the whole thing.
He's definitely a pillar.
Yeah.
And same with Carlito.
Carlito was gone for a while.
He came back, you know, and it's not the end.
If you truly want to find your way back, you'll find your way back.
It's not, not the end for, for anybody.
So many talented people. I think that would be different. Yeah. It's not the end for anybody. So many talented people at the WWE.
Yeah, it's crazy.
And so many young talent coming up as well.
I just did a workout with Abba Femi from NXT, NXT World Heavyweight Champion.
I was down in the Performance Center, so
I just dropped today on Celtic Warrior Workouts.
So I'm gonna check it out.
Million subscribers, shame on us.
Yeah, thank you.
Congrats, big time.
But he was behind the neck, shoulder pressing, standing shoulder pressing nearly 300 pounds.
And he was using his traps.
As you know when you do squats, you put that kind of pad on the bar.
He was using his traps as that pad, just hanging out.
Unbelievable, man.
You put the pad on the bar when you squat?
I don't, but I'm just saying.
Some people would, but I'm just saying his traps are like that.
Some people don't like it.
AJ has a question for you, Sheamus.
Sheamus, now you say what, almost 18 and a half years, whatever, with the WWE?
Coming up on 18 years, yeah.
You ever go back and watch some of your old stuff when you first got in and
say like, wow, I've really come a long way?
I try not to watch my old stuff.
I'm sure you were awesome back then, though.
I'm sure we wouldn't.
I'm sure you were awesome back then, but like how much,
what is it like not going into the ring compared to what it was like when you were
younger?
I feel when I first started in WWE
I was just so nervous and just so self-conscious of myself and just like I wasn't really in the moment
I wasn't really enjoying it. I just wanted to make sure I got through it without messing up without making any mistakes
Now at the point where I just love going out there. I just feel a crowd
You know, he's there in commentary banging it out. You can hear him all over the bleeding place
Oh, so you guys can't hear me?
I'll always hear you.
Yeah, can you hear him?
I can hear you over 20,000 people in that crowd, Patty.
OK, I didn't know that.
Oh, yeah.
That's nice.
I never remember that.
Yeah, I'm going to lock that in.
Come on, Shane.
Oh, Patty.
It's Fight Night, fella.
All right, you'll hear me.
You'll hear me.
I'll make sure.
But you know, I just enjoy it.
I feel the crowd in the moment.
I'm more in the moment than I've ever been.
And that's what it's about, and letting the crowd in.
And I feel that's why I'm having the best matches in my entire career.
That's why I love going out there. I love putting on banger after banger.
After banger. After banger. After banger. After banger. After banger. After banger.
Did you drive a bus? Did you drive a bus really no
No, I took an uber like everybody
Yeah, it was not the banger bus tonight. So no remember remember remember the banger brothers the thing back in the day
Real fast, by the way.
Yeah, it was a good run though.
That's not the one I remember.
What are you talking about?
What?
It's a different.
You are a, yeah.
You are the other team, aren't you?
No, no, no.
I'm thinking about a different bang.
But anyway, speaking about Big O.
He's not a bigger brother.
He's a big bro.
Speaking about Big O.
Speaking about Big O in the moment.
Entertaining.
You've been around the world.
You've been a superstar for a long, long time.
How's Kerry been treating you so far?
Do you have any, I guess, suggestions for us
for dinner tonight?
We ended up in Bahama Breeze last night.
OK, we saw that on the way here.
Yeah, instead of boats going by the hotel,
it was just cars and trucks and stuff.
But my wife is really impressed with it.
We can tell you where not to go. There's a lot of restaurants out here. There is. I mean we only
got in yesterday, late yesterday, staying at the same place. But you know like Carolina's great
man. I just I love this place. It feels very close to being in Ireland. So many trees, so many
greenery. Everyone's super friendly. Except for this heat dude. It's never this hot in Ireland.
Ty has a question for you Seamus. Yeah Seamus I am curious. Except for this heat, dude. This heat's killing me. It's never this hot, guy. Ty has a question for you, Shamus.
Yeah, Shamus, I am curious.
You're obviously absolutely jacked.
Pat mentioned the Celtic Warrior workouts are up over a million
subs right now.
How does your body feel?
And how much different is it when you get in the ring now
than maybe it was 16 years ago when you were a spring chicken?
I don't think I was ever a spring chicken type.
But no, I actually feel right now, I think I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. I'm using this, my wife got me, Isabella got me on this app called Ladder app
I've been using and I have this guy called Corey Perkins, awesome trainer, and I feel now like I'm lifting six days a week.
I'm eating really well, a kind of carnivore animal diet, except for this, obviously, but you're allowed on special days like this.
But I feel now like I've just so set my way to train.
And when I first started, I wasn't as self-conscious or I wasn't as strict
regimented on what I was doing.
But now I feel like I'm definitely dialed in and I'm really liking it.
You said ladder app?
Yeah, ladder app, dude.
Here's Corey Perkins.
Corey Perkins, awesome trainer, by the way.
I want to give you a show.
He's on your app.
He's on your app. Yeah, he is. Yeah. But hold on, hold on. I want to give you a show. So he's on your app? He's on your app?
Yeah, he is, yeah.
But hold on, hold on.
I need to learn more about this.
Yeah, sure.
So the ladder app.
Yeah.
You just take your phone downstairs into the gym,
open it up, and Cory's leading you through a workout?
Yeah, you pick whoever with the trainer you kind of most
resonate with.
You pick the trainer, and Cory was the one that talked.
You remember I came back for a ground?
Yeah, it's Peloton for lifting?
It's basically that, yeah.
And every day, when you set, you can do Yeah, it's time for lifting. It's basically that. Yeah.
Every, every day when you set like you can do six days,
minimum of three days.
It's awesome.
But it's changed my life.
You saw those pictures of me burger after burger.
You remember that.
They're calling you fat.
Shameless.
They were calling me fat and rightly so, you know,
I was listening,
this and I'm telling you there was,
there was creases going on everywhere.
There shouldn't have been creases.
You know what I'm saying? There's this, but it's, I'm dialed in now. And it going on where there shouldn't have been creases. You know what I'm saying?
But I'm dialed in now, and if you want to go,
by the way, when are you going to get on Celtic Warrior
Workouts?
We should all do one together as a group.
Yeah.
That could be show.
I'm a fat slob, dude.
I can't do anything.
No, thanks.
Connor, you're just so negative all the time lately.
What's wrong with you?
No, no.
What are you talking about?
You get bad on.
You just get bad on.
I came to Iran to talk to you on your laptop.
No, no shame with some business.
Big league me when I came on air before the show.
Try to give him a beard.
He's complaining.
I'm not finished a beard.
My father wearing blue shorts.
Is it? Come on. Where did you Where's yours? My father's wearing police shorts, is it?
Come on.
Where did you get them, anyway?
What are you wearing?
North Carolina.
We're in Carolina.
You're the Liverpool fan wearing black and gold.
Yeah, but you never walk alone, man.
You know, the yellow wall.
Bill Belichick, you know, his name's on my bicep.
What do you want?
Come on, yeah, it's right there.
What do you want me to do?
Gotta respect the team.
I thought you were from Boston, right?
Yeah, but I don't really have a college team.
Boston College, no, Notre Dame, Irish College for you.
Notre Dame's up there.
You can always- Georgia Tech's your school, we know.
Yeah, well, I mean, you live and die with Liverpool, but
you also live and die with the WWE as we all do they moved
WrestleMania back to Vegas
Pumped about that or you kind of wish you were going back to New Orleans
We were in New Orleans for the Super Bowl where they were saying it was gonna be great city
Don't know if it's fully equipped to have what Vegas had just because of the spectacle that WrestleMania is.
What do you think about that?
WrestleMania in New Orleans is incredible.
That's a-
Yeah, we were down there.
Yeah, you guys did one.
We went to one that was-
Bourbon Street.
That was one of the top five weekends of my life.
WrestleMania, what, 32?
Was it 33 or something?
Was it?
I don't even remember.
I don't remember.
Now, I don't care.
I guess at this point, yeah, it probably was.
2018, I think. Okay. Okay guess at this point. Yeah, it probably was 2018. I think okay, okay
It was incredible. You'll never see Bourbon Street like that any other time of the year
That's an insane insane place. You weren't able to be there Sheamus because you're famous at that time in WWE
We were able to I was able to just walk around down there. It was incredible
Every bar was playing entrance music and other people's music a theme music, and then there was matches happening in the middle of Bourbon Street.
Somebody was dressed up like, let's say, Hulkster brother. Yeah. And then Macho,
obviously somebody dressed up as Macho shows up and then obviously because it's
WrestleMania New Orleans, somebody's dressed like a ref. They just meet in the
middle. Crowd makes a ring. Crowd makes a ring. We're going off the ropes in the middle crowd makes a ring crowd makes a ring. We're going off the ropes in the middle of this thing. One, two, three,
and then bar hits macho man's music. I mean, in the middle of,
also how we put macho over. Yes. That's, that's, that's, that's crazy.
That's crazy.
But yeah, it was awesome. I fully agree with it, but you know, love Macho.
It was awesome.
Are you excited to get back to Vegas?
I felt like Vegas was the perfect coach.
Yeah, Vegas was incredible.
Vegas is great.
You know, look, I'll come out, I won't come out during the daytime, obviously, for a lot
of reasons, but obviously a huge hit there this year.
That move in the dead of my, it was above my pay grade, but you know, either way it was
a success, so they're obviously going to go back again because it was such a huge hit.
Do you operate like a vampire? much? Yeah, I'm gonna be on my second kind of sunscreen right now
I could see it radiating from your I
Basically about 20 minutes five minutes before I came on the show. I couldn't see anything. I was just like
But the beer, you know
Like you were in double member it's like
you're like that the whole time people people grabbing Pat's hand just walking
them around where we going great show you're gonna come over this year come
I'm coming this year how you missed a great did you miss a great time
greatest cracks of my life was awesome you've got some great cracks we've had
some great cracks hey Seamus has been on the record
of saying that that was a good night, though.
You had a good time, too.
It wasn't just us having a great time.
I was just warming up, and the night was over.
It was mental.
Well, your buddy had it.
I mean, some of the best fashion I've ever seen.
One of the coolest outfits of all time.
I actually looked into some stuff post that night
because of how cool your buddy was.
Speaking of outfits, you gifted AJ something he has
thrown it in the track I was actually I didn't know you were actually coaching
the door Russia whatever you're talking about
I would have worn a full jeans vest dress but it was 150 degrees down here
yeah how do you have you worn that once no cuz I'm waiting worn a full jeans vest dress, but it was 150 degrees down here
Have you worn that once? No, cuz I'm waiting for a big special. Like maybe
Oh, no, it's I know exactly what I'm saying. It's in goodwill
It's on the rock and goodwill. It's been a case waiting for a big moment
Seamus you are the only one to pick
The right answer. Yeah on college game day. That's right. I forget what the pick was. Georgia Tech over Florida State.
Notre Dame and the National Championship.
Yeah, it was so close.
I mean, obviously, he got to the National Championship,
but unlucky.
Still had it.
Not exactly unlucky, but yeah.
Unlucky.
I'm going to go in unlucky, AJ.
Only guy that had a team in the championship.
A little wagon.
I don't know if anybody was beaten at the last 18, brother. It's a great game. I don't know if anybody was being a last 18 brother. No great game. I don't know if it was unlucky
I think it was just their machine. They're a machine while the jungle their machine but law the are we going back this year?
Again, yeah game stinks this year. What is it?
Can't state I was I think it's a football game or NFL game. We're gonna get a game. Yeah, it's a is it Green Bay against
Minnesota NFL game. Yeah, it's a is it Green Bay against Minnesota?
Is that it? No, it's Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh is a big Pittsburgh. All right.
I'm actually I'm actually what's wrong in Germany?
Foxy, give me a piece of information.
I'm sorry, in Ireland, I mean,
he said there's a smackdown in Ireland the night before the college football game.
Oh, the big 12 deal, I believe. Oh, because it's Iowa State, I think.
I would say K-State. I don't know if we're going.
It's not big enough. I don't know if we're going.
The I don't have no idea. I'm not.
A lot of decisions have to be made there.
You're not going to take the brunt of that way.
Not at all. Yep. I am not the one.
We will move that along. But if we're definitely in it, but the NFL game over there for sure. You're not going to take the brunt of that weight? Not at all. I am not the one.
We will move that along.
But we'll definitely end up at the NFL game over there for sure.
I will say though, I spoke to the Titans as well.
I know there's a lot of teams that have claimed UK and Ireland as their territory overseas.
But Titans are the only one that have claimed Ireland I believe.
So I think I might be going over.
No, no, no.
Steelers are both in and out, man.
One foot in in one foot out
dealers had representation in Ireland for like
Four or five years or whatever today ambassador the Rooney's
He's the ambassador to Ireland this guy was trying to make what do you what are you even talking about?
Rudy was at the game day in Dublin
Okay, I didn't see anybody
Shit their classroom for straws don't believe anything to Tennessee
Patriots
claim
Germany technically, but you go back to the history. We've had German players
Yeah, what's your employers have you had Sebastian Vollmer? One of the greatest of all time. Was he American Chairman? Was he He came over from Germany similar to I don't know if he came from World War I
No, he didn't actually take a U-boat over
I don't know some of the players on the Patriots these days look like they were in World War I they move so slow
Man, it'd be a lot of work
That's why Fraymull came in
We appreciate you. Thank you for stopping by
We appreciate you man Thank you bro, I appreciate it, it was great, fella. We appreciate you, man.
Thank you, bro.
I appreciate it.
Anything we didn't hit that we need to talk about?
No, it's great, man.
Count the four-year workouts.
Got the channel over, got BBB over, got WB.
It's great.
Everything's good.
Year over.
Ladies and gentlemen, are you going to finish your beer?
Yeah, should we drink more beers?
There was more.
There's two more there.
Who wants the next one?
You want to finish?
She puts you off.
I don't want to stand here.
What do I look like?
It's good.
Yeah, why don't you swing that other one down? I mean, are we having a crack later? She's like, I say no. Yeah, you off. What do I look like? It's good.
Yeah, why don't you swing that other one down.
I mean, are we having a crack later?
Yeah, she's not gonna say no.
Yeah, of course we're.
No, I think we're having a crack now.
We're having a bit of a crack right now.
There you go, bro.
Now's the crack.
Cheers, lads.
Cheers to the people sitting on the hill.
Frost!
Hot as hell.
Frost.
Frost!
Cheers.
Sláinte, Seamus.
Gormilla Mahogut.
What?
Wait, what'd you say?
Grandma what? Gormilla Mahogut. You should know know that you're from Boston. You got marbles
in your mouth? No I know what it is. I'm telling everybody else. Thank you very much in Irish
and Gaelic. Say it again. Our native language. Say it again. Who? Gora Míle Mága. Me and
Gora Mila Moga? How are you, Seamus?
I'm Seamus!
Me and Seamus said it at the same time. We screwed it up.
Now, you just stepped over
with me trying to get a piece of information.
I was trying to learn what the actual name was.
Gora Mila Moga.
Gora Mila Vladovich.
It's not an avich.
It's an Irish thing and it's not a Serbian.
It's not Bosnian.
What's the score of this game? Do we know what's going on is 3-1 drip FC that's Johnny Damon's boys Damon's
and he's in there right now ladies and gentlemen it is an absolute honor to be
joined by a man who is coaching Dortmund born myth that's on me
Dortmund on the mine it's on the mind. Bournemouth.
They are currently completely defeated after a loss to Con Cafa this morning.
But he is not a man who's defeated.
No, no, no.
He made his pro debut in 2006 as a 16-year-old.
Wow.
One of the longest tenured United States of America soccer players of all time and an
astute business man.
I believe he's a minority owner of the Buffalo Bills.
Wow. Ladies and gentlemen, Josie Altagior.
Yeah, Josie.
Josie.
Josie.
Josie.
How's it going, man? How are you?
How you doing? Good to see you, buddy.
Good to see you. What's up?
The soccer dab, man.
Yeah.
Love it every time.
Yeah, the soccer dab.
Now, you like to do a peek at the-
You got a full one, yeah.
D-Bag up.
Do you realize-
We got the soccer one.
I got the full one.
I got the soccer one.
Sorry about it.
Do you realize soccer players normally only do this part of it?
It's kind of like golfers.
It's not a full dab.
It's true.
Golfers do the same thing.
Yeah.
Trying to adjust to the community.
The community.
We're trying to culture.
We're trying to be some culture vultures around here
and make sure we get the proper dabs.
It's just one clean tap, and then you let go.
Release.
Yeah, which kind of stinks.
Definitely.
It's like Stewart Sink, like a golfer.
To be clear, though, he clearly.
Yeah, apparently, D-But, you also got a full day.
D-Butt got a full one.
Well, you know.
Ha ha ha.
I don't think you pay attention.
It's been a fun morning.
Yeah, they look like soccer players over there,
which is why you gave them soccer bat.
For sure.
And then, now that.
Let's talk about this morning.
You thought your team was going to be good or no?
What do you mean, our team is good?
I didn't think we all did.
I know, I know.
That's what I'm saying. It's our first time out here and you know
it'll take us some getting used to but you know big shout out to Bill Foley to
Michael B Jordan all of Bournemouth for entering a team and putting the effort
they put in. This is our record this is a record year for Bournemouth right now.
All right most points ever in a season the team here that's playing is you know
the 2015 team that got born
Me to promote it to the Premier League. So it's a special event and you know, I know they're happy to be out here
Okay, I'm pumped to hear all that information
the 2015 teams playing
2000 a lot of practice beforehand they did they did you know, but look they're not they're not full-time players anymore
But they wanted to come out here represent the brand represent themselves and I thought they did a great job
I thought so too, by the way, it's not easy
You know, you know that so our guys our guys have obviously played in this tournament before our guys had three practice games on Monday
Like I think we learned what TST is last year
We came in cold last year and the reggae Rovers beat the hell out of us game one. They had no idea
We were doing I felt like watching your team,
they were figuring out the game as the game was going on.
Exactly, and that's a lot of what this is, right?
You knew that well.
So I'm proud of how we performed the first game.
We got another big one later tonight,
and I know the guys will be up for it.
How do you feel about maybe you playing?
You don't play anymore?
I wish, you know, I actually injured myself.
I was with my family on a Disney cruise, man. Oh, hell yeah. Were you gonna play in this? I wish, you know, I actually injured myself. I was with my family on a Disney cruise, man.
Oh, hell yeah.
Were you going to play in this?
I was thinking about it, yeah.
I would love to.
I would have put you to the sword out there.
You're lucky, man.
I would not have gone on the field.
I would not have gone on the field.
I thought you were on the field.
What happened?
Well, last year I was.
I ripped my hip flexor.
I felt like that's good last time.
You know why that happened?
Why?
Because you weren't training at Sogility.
Yeah, this is, let's talk about you being a business person.
And this is for you by the way.
Okay.
This is, I want to give you this.
I got two gifts for you.
Thank you.
This is Bournemouth's official US Jersey tour shirt.
Nice.
Michael B inspired.
So take a look at that.
Smoke stack inspired.
You know what I mean?
We got this for you with the last name on the back.
We got to take care of our people.
You know what I'm saying?
We got that.
And then I have this for you.
This is where you should have trained.
That's why you got injured.
You need to be at Sogility.
It is down the road from you.
There's no excuse.
We will host you.
We'd love to have you.
So this is for you to, you know, come down, train with us and we'll fix that hip flexor.
You own Sogility.
Yes.
I assume you own part of Bournemouth.
I assume there's other things.
And then you're also a minority owner of the Buffalo Bills.
I think there's some other companies
that you're like potential investor in.
When did you decide that you were gonna be an investor?
And is this all from soccer money?
Legit, we're trying to figure it out.
Is he pocket watching?
That's crazy.
I've never seen that.
No, no, no, no, no.
A bill's-
He's fucking crushing it.
I said, come on, man.
I know, but the Buffalo Bills, though.
That is an unbelievable...
When we saw your name get dropped in, I'm like,
Josie Altador is an owner of an NFL team?
Because you're young.
I appreciate that.
You're young, and it's like, how...
That's unbelievable.
And then you start looking at all the other shit
that you're invested in.
It's like, you're a good businessman, Josie.
How long has it been like that?
And what has always been the plan? No, first of all, I appreciate that. And for me, it started with my dad. So my dad, he
actually worked at FedEx 30 years, but he always instilled in me the idea of owning
something. And we started in real estate in Boca. So started with a small real estate
company there that my dad started and showed me the business from a young age
And you know ever since that he's instilled to me the value of that and you know
I kind of took it and ran with it and it's been one of my biggest passions
I love watching athletes dominate in the business world because the suits they think we're dumb
You know that Josie. I don't think so. No, they do
You need to realize that they do
We've heard them on the record and off the record say things about athletes and stuff No, they do. You need to realize that they do.
We've heard them on the record and off the record say things about athletes and stuff.
So remember that whenever you're in there working.
I respect it.
I appreciate you doing that.
The only thing I'll say is like, you know, now not playing, you have to understand what
it's like for them, right?
They put 25, 30 years into their field, went to school.
So I think, you know, as athletes, we got to be a little bit humble when we're transitioning, you know, take that athlete hat off and kind of relearn how to how to make an
effect on society. And that's part of business. But keep the athlete work ethic. Exactly. Yeah,
yeah. That'll kind of that's synonymous to me in the business world, you know, that that discipline,
it's important. Agreed. Okay, let's talk about some discipline. Let's do it. Is our US men's
national team ever going to win? No, unbelievable. Look, hat. USA hat. USA hat. I watch you on Team USA. Thank you for
your service to the United States of America. I appreciate it. It was always cool to watch you out
there. You played 110 caps for Team USA is what Wikipedia said. Felt like I saw you a thousand
times. Every time I watched you were playing. So I respect the shit out of that. I appreciate it.
But with this team, obviously we've got new coach, punch Yeah, Pete punch and every time he punch leaves his club that club goes on to win great things
A lot of people say he maybe built that club to have success
You're saying when he leaves they win three different teams nonetheless. I feel like we've had a lot of good players
Yeah, I feel like we have done our job of hyping up the United States of America without a doubt
We firmly believe we're winning the World Cup whenever we play in it.
We firmly believe we're winning the Concava whenever we're playing in the Concava.
The Gold Cup.
Gold Cup.
The Carabao Cup.
The Carabao Cup.
The Carabao Cup.
All these.
If America was playing in TST, I'd be pulling for them against Concava.
I love that.
Even though I love Concava.
And maybe some of the Concava boys need to be on Team USA Maybe everything will kind of change backport
But why why do you think Team USA is where it is because I grew up playing soccer
I remember there's like a project 2012 or 2012. There's a project 40 40. Yeah, there's all these things
So I I grew up hearing about all these things. Yeah, and the future of US soccer is gonna be great
Yeah, but we've never really got it
Why do you think that is the case and do you think we're closer than ever or what do you think? You know, I think we have to
approach it in a sensible way. Look, I think as the United States, it's natural we want to win. We
want to be the best at everything, but I think we have to understand our league domestically is 30
years old, right? Like you look at the age of the Premier League, the NFL. So soccer in this country
is a little bit behind the eight ball, but what we're seeing at events like this, right, young kids,
it's starting to really resonate.
And I think we're starting to improve across the board and with things
like so agility, with different things popping up where we're trying to get
kids involved and keep them in the game.
I think that side is important.
And so I get the frustration, but it's a work in progress.
And I believe in those boys. I know them all well.
And I know they're doing what they need to do to be ready for next year
How about punch you believe in punch?
Yes, they are and I believe in pochettino look, you know, I credit the Federation they took you know kind of
You know, he tried something different right before the World Cup
They are really putting their all their chips on the table and I think you have to commend that
I think pochettino needs our support. We got to to get behind him and again, it's gonna be a celebration man. The World Cup United States
Hopefully has a effects for years to come. Yeah, I hope we win it. Are we gonna at least make a pool play?
Yeah, knockout. I mean historically we've done pretty well
I mean obviously 18 wasn't great but like looking at other the other World Cups 2014 18 or not 18
Sorry, 22 the guys had a good showing in Qatar.
So I anticipate a lot of the same, even more.
The support will be important from all of you,
making sure you get out there and watch
and support the team and it'll be cool
to celebrate soccer.
Gotta show me something first.
Yeah, exactly.
You want us to show up for nothing,
and I can't do that again.
Josie, we're getting beat by Puerto Rico by three goals
Yeah, there's a lot of drama always around the US national team
It seems like that's been that way forever, but I think that's soccer as a whole. Which turns some people off more.
You got some guys rolling around out here, even at TST.
And there's always the drama.
A lot of concave of players were.
Oh, come on.
What? Sorry.
You're Bournemouth players?
I'm just saying, you got the stage set up.
You know, they really, I don't know.
It was tough for our guys.
The Bournemouth players, the Bournemouth players
were starting to hack us a little bit in the second half. Yeah, they were starting to take it a little more serious
I don't I don't think you guys knew what you signed up for with our team though
No, our team would have fought every one of your guys. No questions asked
They would have got banned from this tournament. That's our type of guy. No, trust me. I know Brecht
I know a lot of your guys well, but oh, you know Brecht Brecht certainly would elbow somebody in the face
Oh, you know, Breck Breck certainly would elbow somebody in the face, which is awesome for Breck.
The Arena League boys are.
That's what I think. I think it was good.
I think, you know, our guys really enjoyed it.
You know, it's a new experience for them.
And I thought after the game, you saw even the concave guys coming over, giving tips and tricks.
So that's what it's all about, too.
You know, so the Arena League guys have such an advantage.
Big time. This is like their thing.
Exactly. Is this your first one?
This is my first time physically being here. Yeah, man. This is crazy. It's beautiful to
see all the people coming out, just hanging out. I love the setup. It's really cool. I'm
excited for you to learn about the... I think you'll be much... I think you'll be... Not
that you're more invested or could be more invested this year. I'm saying whenever you
think about this and take this in for the next year, I'm excited to see what you think
about it. Yes. No, absolutely. Because the Arena League boys,
they are this whole place.
Every single game winner for previous tournaments,
every big play, Arena dudes.
These Arena dudes run it.
And then if you can get the outdoor big field guys
in there with them,
it's like that's what we learned from Conkaif.
Yeah, last year your team was built for outdoor soccer, but this year it's built for this style.
Arena League. Yeah, this is Arena League. Yeah, it's awesome. It's a beautiful sport.
No, it's great. And you know, it's funny you say that, like that's what we need
more events like this, highlighting different players at different levels of
the game, you know? So, there's Kings League going on, is that what it's called? Kings League?
Yeah, there's, yeah, that's another small side league, yeah. Yeah, there's a bunch of these like small side, I think it's big time streaming over in Europe right now. I what it's called Kings League? Yeah there's yeah that's another small side league yeah yeah there's a bunch of these like small side I think it's big
time streaming over right now I think it's a soccer ball yeah Josie you've
given your life to soccer and we appreciate the hell out of you man. I appreciate you
for coming out and supporting. We'll get to Sojility.
It's happening in beautiful fashion there's a soccer tournament happening here in Cary, North Carolina.
If you've never been to Cary, North Carolina, I'm not sure what exactly you would come for other than a tournament of some sort for your kids.
Whenever you get here, just know that this place is beautiful.
The most pristine grass that I have ever seen in any complex in the history.
It's set up beautifully
they're hospitable as hell here the only thing you got to worry about is the
fact that it is 250 degrees down here we haven't had a chance to have the queue
as Marty Smith coach right the barbecue we will certainly dive into that went
to a steakhouse last night it was the worst service we've ever had in our
entire life but we won't hold that against the local people no we will hold that against the person that confirmed our reservation
yep that didn't tell the rest of the restaurant that we were coming and the rest of the restaurant
thought they were done working for the night and then they were told no no no actually most work
you've had all day is coming right down the pipe. So we will not judge anybody around here for the horrendous experience. Two thumbs down. I wish I had two more
hands so I could give that place four thumbs down. I wish. But with that being said,
beautiful town. Uh-huh. Cannot wait to explore a little bit more today and the
Concava Soccer Club is currently undefeated
in TST. 3-1 win this morning over Bournemouth which was led by, thank you, that's spattering
applause. That's spattering applause. Oh, oh, oh, Conquefa. Yeah, it's a catchy tune. We got a great
team. I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to be here for the entirety of this tournament.
Sure.
That is still a conversation.
Money in the banks on Saturday night in Los Angeles.
I've been invited to a place that I think is like a must go type situation.
Can't turn down.
I think it's a must go situation.
So I'll figure that out.
John Cena, you can't see me on my left shoulder for the brand over my right and the boys are here.
One half of the hammer, gone.
Cowboys, AP Tone is here. Tone, tonight the NHL Stanley Cup Finals dropped the puck. What should we be looking for and what are you betting on?
So the Oilers are currently minus 120 to win tonight. They've been minus 125 all week long.
Fun fact, they are also minus 120 120 minus 125 to win the whole series so same odds game one as it is the entire series you have the defending
reigning Stanley Cup champions and the Florida Panthers going against Connor
McDavid who is universally known as the most skilled talented probably best
player in the NHL right now it's gonna be an incredible bet. Maybe in history. For sure it's gonna be.
Has to win a series. Maybe most skilled. Oh yeah. Maybe the most skilled
player in the history of hockey, but he's not better
Obviously not better than wano or sit or Mary Stoner
I agree has to win a cup has to win multiple yes, but whenever they talk about just like skill just pure
Okay, speed speed edge speed. He's also not scared to be physical
Oh, yeah, he is like he's dug up for the NHL
This is a home run that they got the best he's the guy. For the NHL, this is a home run that
they got the best player in the world playing in the Stanley Cup finals again, taking on the Stanley
Cup champion, Matthew Kachuk led Florida Panthers. Matthew Kachuk obviously wins over all of the
United States of America during the four nations instead of the All-Star games, where he just fights
all of Canada immediately after them booing our national anthem
That was a massive success. He's already the champ
They send out Marchand who is beloved or hated depending upon what city you are from
He goes down there big market feels like big marketing opportunities. It feels like with Connor McJesus on the big stage
Let's go to the talk table at boss Connor Natai Schmidt con man
Obviously the Bruins used to be good at hockey.
Used to understand what it was like to play
at this time of year, just like us Pittsburgh Penguins fans.
It's a wonderful thing.
Best of seven series though,
how does that play in this entire?
I gotta go seven.
And you know, the B's haven't been as terrible
as the Penguins for a long time.
This is my first- That's not the question.
Okay, no, no, I just wanna clarify.
This is my, the Bruins first season kind of fading into
irrelevance, but that's gonna be much quicker than the Penguins. Seven games.
Is there a question in there? I think it's pretty clear this is going seven games.
Both, the Panthers are so good. The way they play is incredible. The way the
Oilers play, you mentioned McDavid, you know, Dry-Sidle who's amazing, Hyman,
Nugent Hopkins, they have so many studs all over.
Vander Kane, Nick Nurse, yeah, Nick Nurse plays coach of basketball, but Darn Elnurs,
you get it.
They have so many dudes across the board and so do the Panthers.
I think that's why this is even better than last year, you know, bigger names, more people
on both teams.
I think Seth Jones, six or seven guys from the Panthers didn't play last year.
There's a similar amount as there are on the Oilers who are kind of new to this type of
series.
But I personally, I'm leaning Oilers.
It feels like it's McDavid's year.
It feels like the Panthers, as awesome as they are.
Maybe it's not meant to be a back to back situation.
Maybe we should take off that hat.
Maybe we should take off that hat with the American flag on it
since you're picking the oilers.
Oh, no.
This has nothing to do with.
I mean, wait.
Is your captain American or Finnish?
He's Finnish.
You probably don't even know.
He's Finnish.
He's Finnish.
Yeah.
I mean, look at that.
Parky's Finnish?
Yeah, yeah. I thought he was from Jersey. I thought Park. He's finished. I mean, look. Mark is finished.
Yeah, yeah.
I thought he was from Jersey.
I thought Barky was Russian.
No, no, no.
His name isn't actually Ed Barkini.
It's Barkov.
What does that mean?
He thought he was from Jersey.
It's not like, you know, the T-Wolf's called Mark Dago now.
It's not something like that.
That's not his name either.
Yeah.
It's not your coach.
Ty is finished.
The second bit of that, baby Ty.
Yeah, baby Ty.
I'm going to go to the bathroom.
I'm going to the bathroom.
I'm going to the bathroom. I'm going to the bathroom. I'm going to the bathroom. I'm going to like that. That's not his name either.
It's that occasional.
It's not his coach.
Ty is finished, the second bit.
Have a good time.
Have a good time.
Connor actually said earlier today, he said, hey, if we need to talk about the Thunder
Coach, he likes to actually go by Mark Dago.
I didn't love that.
That's not real.
I didn't say that.
I didn't say Mark.
I think if you carry North Carolina, you can yell that from the mountains.
Yeah, yeah.
He might be right.
If I had to guess. No.
It's also not Mark Dago.
It's Mickey.
We start venturing down from that northeast.
We settle in Myrtle Beach.
We settle in all these Carolinas down to Florida.
I don't think so.
I've been looking around.
I don't think so.
It's been wonderful, right?
I mean, it makes sense why Ruth Chris sucked last night.
Oh, shit, we weren't saving the name.
It makes sense why the restaurant saying last night because there weren't
any Italians per se but it is kind of a different type of red no no red
Baker no no he wasn't he actually used were for the all Bayonard runs Ruth Chris
on Tuesday nights we'll see if it continues.
Hopefully.
Live, not with us at dinner last night.
College football national champion, Super Bowl winner, father of 10, AJ Hawke.
AJ Hawke.
AJ, you missed a doozy last night.
Should we run it back tonight after the 630 game, you think?
I don't know if we'll ever go to that place again.
Bats and batteries and socks, maybe
With that being said AJ your brother-in-law has won Stanley Cup before you've been a part of the entire
No drip FC for to man letting them. Anytime you can squeeze one past that and two, you know you're doing something right. Are we in target score time yet? Is that a
knee on the table? I don't think we are in target score time. No! Corner. Is that a bad
knee? Is that the bad knee? I don't think I can play. We are in target score, yes. Oh
shit. Nothing worse. These pints are pretty good, boys. They are delicious.
Yeah.
Did you guys all drink?
How about we get one every?
This is my second one, yeah.
It'd be a shame if we got any more.
Drip FC is in control of the ball.
Whoever gets to five goals will win this particular game.
Currently, 4-2, the team that has the ball right now.
The other team that has Corona on their back.
Club America. Club America has the ability to now. The other team that has Corona on their back. Club America.
Club America has the ability to come back and win this
if they were able to get the five goals before Drip FC.
Ivanovich is always gonna shoot it.
That guy has a quad tattoo that is electrifying
that he was showcasing in warmups,
the man that just missed that shot right there.
Now if Club America scores three goals,
they'll win this game.
All Drip FC has to do is score one. Goalies out!
Goalies out!
Goal!
Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Goal! Go, go, go! Santucci got caught out getting a hot dog. Tucci!
Club America.
Holy shite.
From their own end.
Come on, Santucci!
All of a sudden, target score time is 4 to 3.
Here's the replay.
From his own end, he says, give me that.
Santucci can't reach four to three.
It's target score time.
Yeah, should have been two points.
All Club America needs now is two more goals.
Shoot it, Tuch.
Drip FC only needs one.
He's so pissed.
They're taking a player off here, I believe.
We are three minutes into target score time,
so now they will sub one player off from each team.
It was seven on seven. Now it's five on five I was told we missed an entire three minutes
can you call timeout in soccer no I think we do have a timeouts okay I think
we do
San Tuch with the ball in the back. This is what we were talking about earlier.
Goalie needs to be able to play with his feet.
Take a shot, Tuch.
Soccer Dave up front.
He's an influencer, great soccer player.
Fun to watch right there with the ball.
Pivoting.
Goal!
Oh!
Oh!
That thing bent down.
What is soccer Dave?
It was a deflection.
Oh, OK.
What does he do, like trick shot videos?
Or like, um?
Yeah, he does like cool stuff.
Like Big Shot Brad? Huh? No, he does cool stuff. Like Big Shot Brad?
No, he's not Brad Johnson.
Big Brad Johnson.
Big Shot Brad.
Drip FC with a corner.
So is that what Drip FC is, a lot of internet guys?
Is he the one dude on that team?
Have we spotted Johnny Damon yet?
I don't know.
I wonder.
Guy with the thigh tap, probably.
Ivanovich?
I don't know if that was out.
I'm literally sitting right down the line to should.
Should I ask?
Well, we got ball have to go out or just.
Yes, we talked to the rest before the game.
You told them they weren't doing any good.
So no, I told them they're going to do a good job.
They tell them they had good boots on 23 here.
Twenty three that is playing front left for.
Got an angle to take a shot. Right there.
You have it.
Santucci can't get out of possession again.
Now...
He's currently five on five.
Oh, Tuch.
The team in blue needs two goals.
The team in white...
Santucci!
Oh, Tuch!
Tuch had a lot of space and opportunity.
They might have let him do that because he is a goalie.
He heard you, AJ.
I know.
Now this team in blue here, Club America. They need to score two goals
To win this game target score time. It is currently four to three
drip FC Johnny Damon
Owns drip FC. Yes that Johnny Damon who is very much known for
Absolutely legend with the Boston Red Sox Kansas City Royals and most notably the New York Yankees
Not true. Not true. Most notably the Boston Red Sox. He reversed the curse in
2004 after being down Johnny Damon is a legend in Boston
He had a grand slam and then another ding-dong later on in the game. Love Johnny Damon forever
I think they get a ding-dong here in targets for time. That's all they need. They might get a ding-dong later on in the game. Love Johnny Damon forever. Can they get a ding-dong here in target score time? That's all they need.
They might get a ding-dong. I don't know if they're going to be able to get it done with...
Oh! Yeah, I mean it's tough to beat Santosh when he's got some defenders in front.
And it's just everyone knows it, you know?
I wonder if the Club America team, who has scored two goals now in this target score time,
are all Arena League boys.
Yeah, something I've noticed with both these teams, Pat,
and maybe you can speak to this, their benches are not big enough.
They do not have enough players.
Club America looks like they have 12 guys.
Game one here, obviously not that big of a threat.
Game two, game three, not having a deep bench will bite you directly in the ass.
Oh, what a play. Oh, what a save by Specs. He just called time out. Specs huge.
I think he got hit right there. Big time save by Specs down there for Club America. I mean he
ate that one in the face I do believe. Yeah. Broken nose, broken jaw maybe. He doesn't care. Nope.
That's what they call the ball. What a save. That saved the game. Ladies and gentlemen joining us now as
target score time continues.
I did not know, I actually forgot that he was watching us do all of this while wasting his life.
Ladies and gentlemen, three-time Stanley Cup champion, St. Louis, Can't Party Maru!
Can't Party!
Hey, sorry we wasted your time, Lodz. So sorry about that.
Oh no. Oh no. we can't hear you.
You want to talk about wasting time?
We did that, but.
Rigg.
Hello.
How are you? Yeah.
Thanks for wasting my time.
It's a good soccer tournament down here.
Patty Maroon, maybe we'll have you on the team next year.
They had a little physicality.
Yeah.
You'd fit in well with our group, especially because you have that champion pedigree.
Let's talk about that.
Obviously tonight, the NHL Stanley Cup Finals puck drops.
Connor McDavid needs the witness for his legacy.
I hate that we even have that conversation, but Connor McDavid is clearly best player
on earth right now, how everybody should talk, and winning a cup is just something that has
to happen alongside of that.
Or the Florida Panthers looking to become like the eighth dynastic run saying they went
back to back.
What's the bigger talking point?
What matters more?
Who's motivated more?
You think Big Rig?
Oh, I think yeah.
I mean, with Connor, yeah, this would put a stamp on his legacy in itself.
I think we all talk about how great Connor McDavid is and he's probably the best player in the world
And probably will go down as the best player we ever see
To ever step foot, you know, obviously I'm not taking away Wayne Gretzky, but obviously Wayne's
Elite player but generational, you know right now Connor McDavid will probably go down as one of the best players to play and
I think this will if he needs to win a Stanley Cup
Yes, I think it will stamp his legacy even you know higher but
There's times where you know Connors play gonna have this opportunity multiple times, right?
But I think if he wins this yes, this will stamp his legacy, right?
Right to where he needs to go, but we're talking about Florida Panthers though
Team that's getting in the way with that and
they're gonna be you know trying to be the next team to go back to back they want they went back
to three Stanley Cups in a row and they're trying to win two in a row right now so they're in the
way right now a good team that's pretty healthy right now and it's gonna be a hard pass for Connor
and the guys. Isn't it crazy to just think about the greatness that's happening Kachuk said on our
show I think or maybe somebody else's, I forget.
He said, we're clearly the two best teams in hockey, right?
Clearly.
I, he was like, everybody kind of knows that we're the two best.
Patty, Patty, we don't know.
Big crowd reaction.
It looks like a PK.
I don't know.
I think there was a big foul, Patty.
I think it was a big foul.
Here's a replay.
Oh, pushing the back.
Oh, is that a penalty? Absol a big foul. Here's a replay. Oh, pushing the back. Oh, is that a penalty?
It's absolute bush league.
Looks like a flop.
I think he's got a penalty to win this.
Wait a minute, Patty Maroon.
Red card.
No red card, don't be concrete.
Patty, don't be doing that.
Oh, we got a penalty, Patty Maroon.
All right, do you think he scores
or do you think the goalie saves it, Pat Maroon?
He scores. Okay, that would win it. Yep for drip FC
number 10
For drip FC. They're real messy. Is that who yeah, what do you do?
You pick a side right or left or what? I would go I always go as hard as I possibly can right half of net
Okay, but he's probably
America stays alive what I saved by specs down there that was a very good guess okay somebody's
approach you can kind of do that goalie obviously I think he was a reacting for
goalie some people react some people obviously, I think he was a reacting goalie. Some people react, some people guess.
So I think Shooter was hoping for a guesser.
He was a reactor.
Got his ass.
You get it?
Wasn't the best shot.
What's that?
Wasn't the best shot.
I had, so he wants that one.
He was hoping to be guessed the other way, I think.
I think he was hoping for Goalie.
I know Patty's big soccer guy.
Top bin.
Yeah, you watch soccer all the time? Who's your? No I don't. I'm pretty much the same as hockey.
Alright well your prediction game is 0 for 1 here you said he'd score the goal he said uh-uh. When you talk about Connor McDavid you just said something there probably the best player ever. Is it like do all hockey people talk about that? like just how absurd he is on the ice. Cause I think for the NHL,
great news that he's on prime time
and the Stanley Cup final to watch.
Looks like he's going at different speed.
Is that what it is or what is it about him?
Yeah, I mean, I think it's hockey IQ.
He thinks the game faster than a lot of people think the game.
He's one step faster than, you know,
the normal average NHL player.
And there's a lot of guys like that,
the Kuturovs, the McKennons, the Crosbys. I mean, there's a list of guys that go down, Drisital, that just have that hockey IQ
that think one step faster than a normal NHL hockey player. But his quickness and the way he
turn on a dime, the way he can do things, his edge work, he's so dynamic, he has dynamic, that is.
And I think his first two steps three steps
He kind of fools a lot of defenders
He puts pox in a lot of different areas in their feet and their triangle of their stick
Where it makes it very difficult to defend so
You know, he's he's one of the best in generational. I
Can't wait to watch him tonight and also Club America has tied it up in Target score time
It was 4-1 going into Target score time now. We're at 4-4
It's the first one to five remember the the way these games end down here
Patty maroon is it's always a walk-off whatever the leading team has you add one goal
That is now the target score. Whoever gets there first wins.
Club America was down three. Now they're tied. All they need is one goal. It's three on three
in Cary, North Carolina. They have a field player with a penny on. He's acting as the
goalie. Let's go ahead and get an extra couple feet on the ball. Soccer Dave is in for his
team when it's three on three. He must be a great player. Back to the goalie.
They will try to pick a part.
There's a new rule that you can't hold it
for eight seconds anymore.
Oh, that's a great rule.
People used to sit with the ball for eight seconds.
It was very boring just waiting for the other team to attack.
It was kind of a standstill.
Soccer Dave went for the win.
Dave.
Specs with another massive save.
Patty Maroon, it's getting intense.
Is this a new league?
What's going on here?
Is this a new league? What's going on here? Is this a new league?
What's going on?
It's a once a year tournament called TST.
It's called The Soccer Tournament.
You remember TBT, the basketball one?
Yeah, the basketball, yeah.
They do it for soccer.
It's called TST.
And it's like three times bigger than the basketball one
with fans, teams, everything.
Million dollars on the line.
It's a huge rock game. I'm shocked you're not playing. Well, my team fans, teams, everything. Million dollars on the line.
It's a huge rock.
I'm shocked you're not playing.
Well, my team won this morning, Patty.
Conquefa is our name, which is a play on.
You put an extra million in for the boys to win or no?
I am paying the boys.
Drip FC scores in target score time
after an epic clash with Club America.
Oh, they're coming over!
Drip S.D. the boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys!
Here we go boys! Here we go boys! Oh, no! Easy, easy, easy!
You got that?
Hell yeah.
Whoa.
Goddamn animals.
Hell yeah.
Jeez.
I like that, bro.
I like Drip FC.
Hey!
I hope we see you in the finals, bro.
Do you know that?
That was awesome.
That happened.
Wow.
Soccer dad killed it.
Wow.
What a win for Drip FC.
Maddie Maroon, pretty electrifying.
That was electric.
We almost had a commander stadium situation.
They were just rocking on that glass.
Can't be doing that.
Hey, great work whoever put this.
ESPN folks, production folks.
Well done.
That could have been bad.
Big time.
Don't pull on that.
I don't know who actually is getting soup now.
Oh, that's a good one. That's good. Well done. That could have been bad. Big time. Jeez. Those bad guys. Don't pull on that.
Those bad guys.
Easy, boy.
Easy.
I said it was easy.
I don't know who actually is getting sued now.
Oh, shit.
I know I am.
I was watching as it was taking place.
AJ has a question for you, Patty.
What a winner for Drip FC and Johnny Damon.
Yeah.
Johnny Damon is definitely happy with it.
Patty, when you talk about Conor McDavid,
I'm thinking with hockey, you play football and basketball
here.
When you have a generational talent,
a lot of people say, hey, just don't let this guy beat you.
We need to force someone else to beat us.
Can you do that with Conor McDavid?
Are you able to find your way?
Hold on here.
Easy.
This guy just came off.
I mean, I almost saw a guy die here on this thing a second
ago.
Can you take Conor McDavid away and force
the other guys to beat you?
Yeah, I mean, you can.
Are you asking, like, you win without Conor McDavid?
Try to cut out there.
Yeah, yeah.
We got all moving parts going on.
I'm saying, can you focus on him and say double him?
Do whatever it takes to actually take Conor McDavid away?
Is that possible in hockey with a guy as good as he is?
I mean, it's possible, yeah, you can have a guy that can shut him down and,
you know, it's not like basketball, it's like one on one or football.
There's a lot of one on one matches where you can shut them down.
But yeah, they'll have their matchups where it's probably Barcov's line against
Connor McDavid's line and you can't really just shadow him in the neutral zone.
You'll probably have someone shadow him, but but it's going to be hard to contain
them as much as possible. It's not like fastball or football where you have your
one-on-one matches and you can contain them a little bit better that way.
But I think you have your matchups with your D pairing, the top 2D that are going
against them and then the top three fours that are going to match up against them too.
So they just try to do a good job of limited time and space,
being hard on them, physicality on them,
try not to get that space where you can create his office
on his own.
So I think it's all time and space limited,
but I think that's why hockey's great
because if you beat one guy,
it's the next man up to defend and help out that way
in that direction.
So you got to beat all five guys. So I mean, mean we all know Florida Panthers are a good defending team they're
physical so it's going to be hard for him but you know he always finds ways the best players
find ways to kind of get out of that. Is there like a scouting report on each guy on how to beat
them like I know goalies we have that I know goalies we're breaking them down and it's fun
to watch now that I learned
that you guys do that.
Watching the first period shots all going to one side
of the net, like everybody's peppering high glove side.
It's like, obviously the message was,
hey, this guy's glove is susceptible.
Is there like, is there a story or a book on guys too?
Like, hey, this guy doesn't like maybe whenever we chop
the shit close to his hands. Doesn like little is there like that type of conversation
when you guys are breaking down film or how does it go? Yeah it's mostly in the
playoffs some coaches I had a coach top of calling he'll have a sheet before
every game you look at it their lineup and their tendencies what they bring
what they're good at what they're not so good at things I can you know get
underneath their skin.
And I know during the playoffs, every coach does this.
You have like a book sheet and then,
you know, you kind of analyze it to each player
and they have all their tendencies
and what they're good at, what they're not so good at,
you know, how can you drive them a little bit nuts?
You know, guys who want to stay away,
you know, these are the guys that like the kind of bullshit in between
whistles, so stay away from that. You know, they have a lot of things they kind of cue on it.
Mostly it's attended to goalies, I would say, in the playoffs because you're trying to get to the
goalie. Usually the goalies you can say they're best player, that's their guy. You know, Bob
Rossky is obviously a stud, so how can we get the Bob? you know yeah but there's a booklet of sheets where you know there's there's guys that have all their
tendencies and what they're good at and you just try to focus on maybe one or
two of those throughout the course of a series. What do you think the book was on
you when other people are reading about you? Big, this guy's big. Big, slow.
Can beat him with speed although we rarely would. Can beat him with speed, although we rarely would.
Can beat him with speed.
He can beat you wide.
D-Bod has a question for you, Patty.
Yeah, you just talked about Bob.
And obviously, defense wins championship.
Who do you give the goalie edge to when it comes to Bob
and Skinner and the other net?
To me, I think Bob has the edge.
I think he's a guy that's obviously been there the last two years.
He's 1-1.
You know, I'm still waiting for Skinner to make those.
You know, he's been playing great.
Ever since Picard got hurt, he kind of stepped in and kind of had those ropes where he had to step up and play his game.
And they rely on Skinner a lot, but the upper hand right now,
I'm giving it to Bob until Skinner shows me,
maybe James wanted to, he's here to perform.
And I think he went through that transition last year
of letting in some kind of soft balls.
And when you win a Stanley Cup, you need defense,
you need your goaltender, you rely on that so much.
So I'm gonna give it to Bob right now
But we'll talk after game one see how it goes Connor has a question for you patty. Yeah, you got brought up in the first hour
What's the deal with the new CBA?
Because we know for the Lightning teams you played for for some of these Panthers teams for the Golden Knights
Kind of cheated
Kind of cheated. I'm not going to go that far. Oh, easy.
But the whole entire, oh this guy's hurt, this guy's hurt, this guy's hurt.
Let's stay under the cap. Boom, playoffs.
Let's bring back Kucherov. Let's bring back Stoner.
Let's bring back some of the greatest players in the league.
Even though, you know, they're technically over the cap.
What is this situation and how much will this actually change the NHL playoffs?
Because it does feel as though this kind of you know
sneaking of the rule kind of taking advantage of the rule has
dramatically helped some of these teams go and get the cup
Yeah, I mean listen the CBA is gonna talk about it
They're gonna touch on it the GMs are gonna touch on it the owners are but listen guys are hurt guys are hurt if you have to pass face I think you should
utilize it in my opinion I think you're not really cheating the system because
your guys are really hurt like I know everyone's talking about the Kutraff
effect and you know he was hurt you know the whole season and all sudden he comes
back for game one of the playoffs well he was hurt and we can talk about Kuchuk
right now you know he was hurt. And we can talk about Kuchuk right now.
You know, he was hurt.
He got hurt in four nations.
And then, you know, they have space for Seth Jones and Brad Marshawn and Sturm.
And so, I mean, listen, I think they're probably going to touch on it.
Probably people are pretty aggravated by it.
The owners or the teams that don't make it that far,
that don't have enough cap space
or don't have injuries that run into that situation.
But it's certainly something to talk about.
But hey, listen, if a guy's hurt or a guy's hurt,
if you can make your team better
by adding more pieces underneath the cap,
and I know you're going to be over the cap
once the playoff hits,
but they only say, hey, you got to hit the cap
Before you know before the end of the season so you can do that add pieces to the puzzle I'm all for it. I don't think you could get rid of it
I think it's you make your teams a lot better by doing that. Yeah, how come the Pittsburgh Penguins aren't doing it?
How come the teams that aren't good aren't doing it?
What's the deal well because they're not in the playoffs.
Last year, yeah, call Davis. Don't you worry about this question for you, Pat.
Big Reg and a lot of other sports when it comes to generational talents, we talk
about, hey, when they win their first title, you know, it's kind of like, you
know, taking the top off the bucket or whatever if
If Connor McDavid is to win this Stanley Cup
Do you think there's a chance that the Oilers kind of go on a run here?
We're there in a position like the Panthers are right now where they're in the finals every year
They're winning cups or at least you know
Like he could have a real generational run or is that different in hockey than it is in every other sport?
Because it's so difficult to win a Stanley Cup
No, I think you're totally right there
I think the window is so small on hockey right if you have a window that's still open
You can keep going after keep trying to go win cups keep going after once the window closes
Then you're seeing it with like you know the obviously we can go back to the penguins
you know the wonder was open for so many years winning championships going back in the finals
you know they went back to back but i think if they win they're going to keep that window
open to keep adding pieces you know keep trying to win more Stanley Cup as you can and look at
Florida right now they're they're doing the same You know, they don't want their wonder to close. Once it closes, then you're kind of in that rebuild
phase, right? And, you know, to me, if you have the two best players in the world, Connor
and Leon, you got to keep that window open as much as possible because those two can
really draw you in and bring you back to Stanley Cup just on those two alone. So I hope they
win. I hope having two wins kind of relieve that pressure from Connor and Leon.
They can now kind of settle in, win their cup,
and then hopefully go on a deep run,
continue to keep winning here
because with those two guys in the game,
it's much better and it's bigger for us.
Patty, I got a question for you.
We know that the Panthers are pests or rats.
Obviously the Oilers know they are pests and rats,
but is there a way, like obviously the Oilers know that,
but is there a chance that the Panthers
can still get under their skin?
And going into a series like that,
when you know the other team is gonna try to get
under your skin the entire time, what do you do?
You know, I mean, the Florida Panthers are a greasy hockey team.
They are a greasy hockey team.
Super greasy.
Hell yeah.
They're fun to watch and they're a pain to play against.
They're always in your face.
But I think Edmonton's got those guys.
I think for Edmonton, they just gotta stay away
from the kind of bullshit that goes on
with the Florida Panthers.
They're gonna be doing stuff behind the whistle.
They're gonna be doing stuff behind the play.
They're gonna be rubbing in your face after every whistle.
They're gonna be trying to get you underneath your skin
as much as possible.
So I think when Everton, they have those guys,
but when Everton, they just gotta stay within structure
and just play their game and stay out of the nonsense
that Florida's gonna bring.
Because Florida's a better hockey team
when you engage back with them.
So if you're engaging back, they're a better hockey team. Those guys feed off that stuff. The Marshawn, Sammy and the Chuck and, you know, all these guys,
they kind of just feed off this energy of like getting back in your face and they just laugh in
your face and they continue to do it. So I make for Edmonton to stay in your lane, stay out of the
stuff and, you know, just play your game because you're so talented and so deep right now so but they have guys
that go back at them so it will be interesting to see how they handle that
situation. I'd like to see a physical fight start tonight. Seven game series,
the NHL Stanley Cup finals, a man who has won that three times just so happened to
be in a row for two different teams. Ladies and gentlemen, come on, Patti Maroon. Thank you, Patti. Is this a new league? Fair question. Yeah, if you've never
seen it before, you would assume, like, oh, that game behind us was electric. All-time classic.
That's what the bonus time target time. Sorry. A target score is all about that. You're literally waiting all day for target time.
Yeah, that's what we're trying to get to.
Now, that was last year's plan.
I don't know about this year, because we
have a much more talented team this year.
Much more ball dominant this year.
But that's why you play great during the actual game,
because they were up 4-1.
So you have a little wiggle room.
And then when you get down to three guys.
So like last year plan was just keep
it tight for target score time.
Just get to target score time.
And then we'll have Arena League boys take it over.
If we're losing, we're down two nothing
I think in one of the games.
And we get to target score time, we come back win three two
because we got the Arena boys.
That is Arena soccer right there at the end.
So like our Arena squad being out there, it is the time.
And Miolo, first of all me Ola looks so good
Yeah, like night like much much better this year. Also
He had a heart attack. Yeah, exactly. So it's awesome to change things for you. Sometimes people well, so I mean some people not
Come from an Irish family. They'll have a heart attack and they'll say hey, I'm ready for number two other times
Some people will you know actually get better it's cool.
Meola has has he drawn up plays? Yes. He told us last night yeah that he has kind
of been in his back was gonna name a play after Gumpi has he done that yet? I
haven't heard the Gumpi play call yet but he is on the dry erase. Nice. We're
drawing a lot of this. I actually have a video of the pregame speech from Tony
Meola back in the village back in the AA. Saw your post Gump. G're drawing a lot of this. I actually have a video of the pregame speech from Tony Miolo back in the village, back in the A.A.
Saw you post Gump's.
Gump gave a speech this morning after breakfast.
The last speech before we left from the hotel was on Gump.
Wow.
Tony Miolo walked over to him about four seconds
before he had to speak.
He said, hey, you want to say something?
And he walked away.
And then Tony Miolo said, ladies said ladies gentlemen without further ado coach comp
Coach obvious coach comp was ready. He's given that he's given that speech to Liverpool. Oh
I think a few different times. Let's go to the truck actually dumpy
How'd you feel giving that speech this morning? You absolutely nailed it pal
I mean
I just remember how we started last year and I just knew we had to come out of the gates fast and I
just wanted to remind the boys that we had to have game one and that's what we
did. And it was on Gumpy to announce who's captain of this team. Wow Gump did he
pick? Gump that was a big deal I feel like. That was coach Meola actually came over
and was like can you let everybody know that's captain? That's smart play by Tony Miola actually.
Yeah.
Anybody's pissed about this, remember, Gumpy.
Bad blood from Breck? Yeah, I feel like Breck Shay's kind of the captain.
Breck was not the cop, Breck is a captain, but he was not the captain last year.
Remember, Jeff Cameron.
He was, he was Captain America.
We have a lot of captains on the team, but Zat Knight is seven foot tall.
He's a beast, there. Big lad.
And he played 160 minutes straight last year.
Ran a guy over, actually.
And he was out here game one.
He was in the Premier League for 10 plus years.
And he got fouled today, and because he's so big, they didn't call the foul.
Yeah.
A guy lost himself at his knees.
Yeah.
A guy went for a cross body on Zach.
That was absurd.
And just didn't even care.
Unbelievable stuff.
He ran him over. I didn't even think about the ref working again. The refs were good. The refs were good
Let's not complain about the refs dump. He got two yellow cards last year yelling at the refs
You might get two more we were pretty docile bunch. I feel like this game
You control the possession like that. There's not really a whole whole lot the bitch about they're just waiting for a goal exactly
Great free game speech. Let's talk about some things that have happened around the NFL Travis Hunter There's not really a whole lot to bitch about. Yeah, they're just waiting for a goal. Exactly.
Great pregame speech.
Let's talk about some things that have happened around the NFL.
Travis Hunter has his first massive NFL highlight.
It comes from OTAs.
He's playing DB, and I'll tell you what, I believe they say it's called in a guy's
pocket.
D-Bucks, did you see this video, and what are your thoughts?
Oh yeah, I asked, what did we have, rap sheet yesterday.
Hey, any updates from Travis Hunter, and I I've had eyes boots on the ground down there
He's just been phenomenal. Obviously he's playing both sides to the ball, but this right here a lot of people bitch
Oh, I wasn't to catch what this the whole game even a conversation with that play going up high pointing it
Leaning locate and then finishing and making a play on the ball. He's just a phenomenal athlete
I can't wait to see this kid on Sundays doing his things on both sides of the football
They say he has the juice all the time. Yeah
Oh, yeah, they say vibes lifted when Travis Hunter comes in the room and that's also a piece of the scouting
It's like hey, this guy's really good player. He's a generational talent. He can play on both sides
His cardiovascular is better than everybody else seemingly in the NFL. What's he like as a human? Ah
shit
Now we can deal with it. Like even if he wasn't the person he is they would deal with it because of the amount of football
Talent that he has but add on the fact that he's like considered like the perfect teammate the perfect football guys
About ball just always bought in and his vibes are always immaculate. It's like what a home run for Jacksonville
Yes, and that's why stoner down there gave a speech that he gave. Yeah. And you
said you talk to people boots on the ground down there. They're giving reports like every day
it's something where he is doing something absurd. Right? Yeah guys watching practice and just we all
been around those guys. I'm sure Seawolf was kind of like this. It's just like the ball just finds
him and it never Tyran Matthews another player that kind of comes this. It's just like the ball just finds him. And it never, Tyran Matthews, another player
that kind of comes to mind, just absolute ball magnets,
spatial awareness, always aware of who's around you,
what's going on around you.
So like I said, I can't wait to see how he fits into,
number one, the offense on the other side
of Brian Thomas Jr.
And then his defense, getting the offense extra possessions
by creating turnovers.
Nothing impacts the game more than creating turnovers and setting your offense up to be successful. And like in
the entire drafts combine process everything Travis Hunter basically
talked about his number one receiver number one cornerback and right now the
trendy pick feels like in the offseason for the team to turn it around is the
New England Patriots it feels as though that it's kind of been. Congrats on the
new deal with Will Campbell.
Yeah, Will Campbell signs his contract fully.
Fully guaranteed for $43.66 million,
number four overall pick in the NFL draft.
Yeah, love that.
You assume Travis Hunter's gonna get 50 guaranteed
if he's doing stuff like this,
and he's playing both sides of the ball.
The Jags, I feel like the team that have been kinda,
you know, better in recent years, that have been kind of better in recent years that have had
a couple bad seasons, but then you add-
Is Trevor Lawrence a guy?
Exactly.
Is Trevor Lawrence a guy?
But you add Brian Thomas Jr. last year, who widely regarded as one of the best receivers,
if not the best rookie receiver.
If you think Travis Hunter is going to be the number one of this class, both corner
and wide receiver, all of a sudden the Jags at a number one corner at another wide receiver with Brian Thomas
And then you look at what's happening in Houston with CJ Stroud the AFC South is kind of wide open
Let's talk about what's going on in Houston. There's reports coming out of the Houston Texans OTAs
That CJ Stroud has been limited CJ Stroud has not thrown and then
That CJ Stroud has been limited CJ Stroud is not thrown and then coach to Miko Ryan's actually addressed it and said there's some soreness that they're being precaution
Yeah, if you can lower the to Miko Ryan's there's no concerns with CJ. It's just general soreness
We're taking extra precautions with him, but he'll be good to go. No concerns on my end there says Ian Rapport
third year quarterback, stud quarterback, OTAs has done everything right, can spin it. Shoulder. They're saying no concerns
for soreness during OTAs. I like seeing that. Looks like he put his arm, his hand over his
shoulders. So if there was a massive shoulder injury, I don't think he would be doing all
that. The soreness is interesting with the time of year that it is.
It's June.
Was this too hard of workouts?
Is this an injury that's lingering from last year that he didn't know was as serious like
the Derek Carr situation that happened just a few months ago down in New Orleans?
What are your thoughts on his D-Bot?
Hopefully it's a big nothing burger here in early June.
I hope.
Because we were conversing before the show, me, AJ, specifically talking about the quarterback
who kind of been around, and you were around Peyton.
And the one thing we know about franchise quarterback, they like to get all their reps.
You know, regardless of when it is, mini camp, OTAs, training camp, they like to get those
reps if they're in the building, which most of them are.
So this is concerning to me.
Early June is the young quarterback.
Definitely too early to be taking G days.
So definitely concerning, but hopefully once we get to the season,
once again, he's a phenomenal talent.
So hopefully we see him taking every snap next season.
It's a big nothing burger once we get to the big dance.
Yeah, it can be.
It definitely most likely is nothing.
You would think by the time of year is what would scare me like the only time I've ever seen a
quarterback not maybe not throw as much or to have not even an off day but come
out and just okay he's not gonna do seven on and team today but just
individual is if say you had three straight days of practices and he threw
a bunch of balls and you had you have a certain limit but a young guy in June
not throwing yeah I would I'd be worried a little bit especially because we've
heard nothing about any of it.
I'll tell you, whenever I saw Andrew Luck throwing at the beginning of that one training camp when he. Yeah. Yeah.
And it was like, oh, he pops, right? He can't throw a football.
Oh, shit. That is not. That's not a guy.
Remember, that's not an NFL quarterback right there.
Those are some floaters that are happening right there.
That's whenever like everybody kind of found out about it, I think on our team.
I wonder how the Houston Texans are with this soreness.
Have they known? Have they expected this? Has CJ expected this? Is this something
he's been dealing with? We hope not. Good luck CJ. Good luck CJ. Micah Parsons he's
tweeting about mini camp. He said I'm a beater I never miss one. Oh yeah so what
going into my fourth year. Never miss one of these. Okay, Mike. Call mandatory, I'll be there.
I haven't missed a mini camp in four years.
Even though the contract is not done,
I have teammates and a playbook.
I'm preparing as if I will be on the field
the first week of camp.
But it's in the owner's hands.
I'm ready to win Super Bowl.
Sounds like they're in the middle of negotiating.
It sounds like Michael Parsons knows
what the right thing is, which is to be around his teammates, to set an example of being there for a mandatory minicamp.
Knowing that he's going to be a staple or a pillar of the Dallas Cowboys for a long
time, it's good for the rookies, it's good for the entire team to see one of their guys
present at a mandatory minicamp as opposed to any drama or missing.
Maybe some guy might want to ask him about his routine.
Maybe you want to just get used to kind of how everything is under shoddy in the building
There's a lot of upside the downside is you lose leverage in negotiation is what people say because if you hold out you take
A stand you're really not happy about what's going on him being there
I don't think slows anything down Jerry Jones have been very open about paying him
It's in the owner's hand says Micah. We assume it's going to get done. Jerry's going to pay him right? Jerry drafted him. Micah is a foundational piece,
a franchise dude, a guy that moves and runs and rushes the passer like not really anyone
else on the planet can do. So yeah, I think Jerry's going to pay him. I don't know when
that might be. Remember when Zeke didn't go to camp and he was down in Cabo working out
and everything and then all of a sudden bam, he gets a gigantic deal. I don't don't know if Mike is gonna have to do that, but Jerry will get him paid.
Even the CD-LAMP situation last year.
Yeah, and DAC too.
DAC, you know.
So for whatever reason, this is how Jerry does his business.
But to your point, he ends up paying these guys.
And they do a great job, obviously, in the draft, you know, finding these guys
in the pre-draft process, paying them at the point.
So he will be a guy, Miles Garrett,
obviously he set that gap,
and kind of I think between him and,
what was that, Danil Hunter and Crosby.
So I think Parsons will be very close to Miles Garrett
when he actually does get paid,
because he is a guy who is a pillar,
who you build your defenses around,
you know, top three pass rusher.
Since pretty much the day he stepped into the NFL. Yeah, it's gonna get done. I mean, Jerry has in the recent, you know, top three pass rusher since pretty much the day he stepped into the NFL.
Yeah, it's gonna get done. I mean, Jerry has in the recent, you know, past, he's waited until almost like right before the season to pay these guys.
But if you're a Cowboys fan, you know, like they're not letting Micah Parsons go anywhere. You just can't.
I mean, he's, he is their defense right now and if Jerry recognizes that, so we'll see.
I mean, is he gonna end up having to maybe give him
a little bit more than he would had he paid him
a couple months ago, probably.
But that's kind of been the Cowboys' MO
with their big time stars over the last few years.
Maybe Jerry likes this.
Because we're talking about it.
The drama?
No.
And Mike is going to talk about it.
Maybe he just waits all this time
because he likes hearing people talk about the Cowboys.
Well, with that being said, you bringing up that Jerry drafted him.
It's like yeah, there's a 100% chance he gets paid.
He knows that. I'm just going to come to Manitoba Minicamp.
We know this is going to get done.
Michael Parsons is going to be on Primetime 13 times a year for the next 10 years of his career.
And that's Jerry Jones football, baby. That is how it goes.
Let's talk about maybe some Pittsburgh Steelers football.
Ooh.
Have you heard, D-Butt?
I have not.
Have you heard, AJ?
Nope.
Connor?
I don't think so.
Ty?
I don't think so, no.
I know Diggs has.
John Ouse Smith.
Yeah.
Trade conversations with the Pittsburgh Steelers
has happened and started up back again, potentially,
says Adam Schafer.
Back in it, the Steelers renewed
Conversations today with Dolphins tight end John who Smith who is seeking a new contract the trade between the Steelers and Dolphins is still alive
per source one person told Adam Schefter that
Tony I haven't heard you be as excited as I think you should be for Huse Smith type caliber player coming to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Yeah, it is back on, which is exciting because yesterday morning Schefter said it was off.
Those things, you know, the talks have died.
That's not going to happen.
Yesterday afternoon, those things are the talks are back on.
I think I'd be more excited if I thought it was real at all.
There's a lot of thoughts in Pittsburgh through the Pittsburgh media now that this is just
Drew Rosenhouse trying to you know kick up some interest so that the Dolphins
will pay John New Smith because he deserves it he's an incredible player
would I love Johnny Smith to be a stealer yes do I think it's gonna happen
no they just paid Pat Firemuth Darnell Washington came in and camped 15 pounds
down they said he looks amazing well now yesterday their third tight end Donald
Parnham did tears tear his Achilles.
So that news, the Shepter's news, kind of aligned with that.
So there may have been some legitimacy there.
But no, it just doesn't make sense for either team.
You've got the Dolphins guy, who was their best player last year,
and then the Steelers, who already paid a tight end,
have two tight ends. Now I know that Artie loves tight ends but it just doesn't
feel it doesn't feel real so I'm not excited okay so you think it's a
business play by Rosenhaus who has done billions of dollars in negotiations
over the past yeah I feel I think there's a chance but Schefter is reporting
it twice now yes he is so Schefter is not just putting out fake stuff. I mean Schefter has to be legit. Correct. So maybe
there is a little bit of a dabble in a conversation if the Dolphins aren't able to get it done. John,
who would like to get out of here? Maybe the Steelers are saying, hey, is there actual
availability here? We'll see if the Dolphins make the play. The Dolphins pay everybody,
don't they Gumpy? Don't Dolphins pay everybody? We like paying guys that actually don't play for
us either, so we'll get rid of our best player.
No, nobody said you guys are doing that.
We're still paying Jalen Howard.
Holy hell, Gumpy!
Jalen Ramsey.
Gumpy, SneakyFox97 and LamexicanaExpress playing right here behind us.
Big foul.
Ref has dug it in the pocket.
He's good. I thought that guy guy shot in both legs with a shotgun.
He pulled the yellow.
He pulled the yellow.
That was a high.
That's a high.
A yellow card.
Ooh.
Oh, yellow.
You do it one more time, mister.
Two game.
Right here.
Is there carryover in yellows in this tournament?
I think you're allowed to get 14 of them.
Yeah.
OK, nice.
Cover your dong here.
Good number. We could get a deflection off of our face for dogs here. Probably a miss of the net
Oh fake
That's sneaky Fox 97 obviously they drew up a set piece there
Run over the ball little distraction pass it down to the goal line pass it across everybody whiffs clean up goal
cheeky touch that is
That's Andy Reed with the play call
Connor was actually pissed earlier that a team was running a set play this early in the tournament
Connor was actually pissed earlier that a team was running a set play this early in the tournament Gotta save those things for later
Sneaky Fox is just that. It's a bold move though, you know, like when
Concave FC runs into them in the finals. We know their play. You're gonna know the set piece they're rolling
Well, it doesn't matter if you know the plays you got to execute is what they say in football
Whenever people knows everybody's plays, you know
You talk about things that don't make sense like Johnny Smith may getting traded as Pittsburgh Steelers even though hey would be cool if
it happened. How about a punter squatting over 700 pounds. You know there's conversations
about punters lifting and they'll be doing bench and they'll be like what do you need
your arms for. They'll be doing like upper body and they'll be like oh that's not helping
you. What's that do? Kick a ball.
Squatting, I think is a good thing to be able to be great at
if you're a punter or a kicker.
And Ethan Evans of the Los Angeles Rams
squatting over 700 pounds in OTAs, 705.
This man's Instagram is just a series of posts
showcasing him in a weight room.
You're talking about a gym rat that happens to be a punter who had 55% of his punts inside the 20 last year. I think it was the highest,
one of the highest in the NFL. You're talking about an absolute beast on the field of punting
and an absolute warrior in the weight room, AJ. 705 pound squat, not with one of those
soft bars either. He's putting that thing on his spine,
taking it down to the ground
and bringing it back up to the lower.
I mean, it's taking it to the lower, you're right.
I've been paying close attention to make sure
he doesn't have that little pad on the bar,
which if you want to, that's okay.
I understand everybody's built differently,
different situations, but for a punter,
for any player to do this is unbelievable.
But yeah, for a punter, yeah, I love it.
I don't think you're letting a lot of people
do 700 pounds in the NFL. No, for a punter, yeah, I love it. I don't think you're letting a lot of people do 700 pounds in the NFL.
No, that's a thing.
That's what a lot of people don't talk about.
Like college, I was very lucky to have Coach Mike Barwas
as my strength coach at West Virginia University.
He is a beast.
He is going to work your heart.
You're going to be lifting a lot.
You're going to be running a lot.
And I think there's a lot of development
that happens in college.
You see guys gain like 50, 60 pounds of muscle over like a three, four year period when you put on protein, you put on a diet, you put
on a workout plan, you put on a schedule, you put on a vision basically of what your
body can be and then you go in there and I mean you get your ass kicked in these gyms.
It's the worst workouts, hardest workouts of all time. I think everybody would agree
with that but it obviously showcases in the development of your body. Then when you get to the NFL, it's not really
more about developing your body. It's about like how do we make your body the
best? How do we save it to be on Sunday? And you like kind of taper off. I don't
know how many people are squatting 700 pounds in the NFL. I don't think they're
letting you do it. I don't think... Ethan Evans said, feed me all of it. And that's why punters are both different D-Bucks.
That's impressive. I've never seen that, especially from a punter in an NFL weight room to your point.
Now, going to college to your point, those strength and conditioning programs, strength and conditioning coaches,
I think those are probably the most important people in the building when you bring in these 17, 18 year old kids and kind of turn them to grown ass.
Man, I put on 24 pounds in college working, eating, doing all that shit.
Shout out coach Martin recipes.
But those are very, very important people.
But to see this until you put first thing we're looking for now, 2025,
what type of bars are you using?
And then as an athlete, what kind of depth is he getting?
That's what he's doing.
How deep? So, yeah, getting that depth, getting it up.
That is very, very impressive.
Steve Weatherford, obviously a man that wouldn't
be scared to do this.
He's choked.
No chance.
So jocked, Steve Weatherford.
He's like a bodybuilder, honestly,
how big and ripped he is.
And he has been for like 20 years straight.
Just always ripped off.
He was on the cover of Muscle and Fitness,
I believe, at one point.
Yeah, he did the Van Dam split.
Oh, hell yeah.
He also had six punts inside of 20, I think, in the Super Bowl.
Yeah, pretty good. Which is like a Super Bowl wreck. I think like four of 20 I think in a Super Bowl. Yeah pretty
good. Which is like a Super Bowl record. I think like four of them were inside the
ten. Nice. Absolutely John. We love that. Yes we do. Yes we do. As we are live from
Kerry, North Carolina. Sneaky Fox 97. Oh I like that little energy, a little juice
here from the crowd. Very easily accessible to come watch anything here.
It's very well
put together. The TST people deserve a lot of praise. Yeah, they do a great job.
Perfect place to do everything too. And I don't think they're like making money.
Oh, stand over top of a guy when he's down. I think they're investing completely in
the tournament. It's awesome. Like they want it to be very well run. I mean it's
grown big-time year over year hasn't it? Yes, I think it has. And also, the way the hotels, the housing, the restaurants,
the way everything is set up.
Perfect.
The stadiums are super nice.
Like, it is nice in here.
Of course, the field and everything,
but where you can sit and stuff like that.
I don't think you're allowed to kick a goal kick within the box.
I mean, we got a penalty for it almost in the first game
of warning.
They're letting them do it.
I mean, what rules are rules?
They know neither one of these teams
is probably gonna win the tournament.
So I think they're just kinda letting them run.
You wanna talk about rules real quick?
Let's talk about a pitcher having a team
that doesn't play by the rules.
If you're a great pitcher
and you damn near shut out the other team
and you pitch the whole fucking game,
you deserve to win.
That's the rules.
Yeah, those are the rules.
That's what baseball is founded upon.
The rules have been broken multiple times here
for Paul Skeens.
Ty, what the hell is going on here?
How does this happen?
We've talked about this ad nauseum, okay?
This guy's a generational talent,
and for whatever reason, the Pirates this off season,
when you look at kind of the makeup of their division,
they had an unbelievable pitching staff.
If they would have went out and just spent
a little bit of money on offense, just a little bit.
Just somebody that can hit?
Exactly, just a couple.
How many people do you need that can actually hit?
Two people, three people?
Well, that's the thing.
They're an MLB baseball team.
They have one.
So everyone can hit.
But you need a guy who really can hit,
who can drive runners in when people are on base. Now I haven't looked recently, Diggs
might be able to speak to this a little bit better but maybe a month and a half ago you
looked at the Pirates opening their roster. They're starting nine. They had like seven
guys batting at like 205 or below, which is just like it's
Bushley. That's not, that's not major league baseball. So you've got a guy like Paul Skeens
who goes out and throws eight innings, gives up three hits, one run. Like you win that
game 99 times out of a hundred or 95 times out of 98. Now. Yeah, exactly. Uh, and this
has happened to him multiple times, several times times this year He's like the first pitcher since you know, like the 1900s or whenever it's 1901
To have it happen twice in a season. So it's like that's a long time
There's a long time. So like what more can this guy do this guy can't do anything else
1901 that is so long ago. They have like four pitchers in the top 25 of the ERA
So it's yeah, it's I mean, it's really all about the bats.
They have guys that can't hit, Koch hits, O'Neill, Cruz hits,
Randall, but they never, it's never all at the same time.
Like I think they lead the league in runners left
in scoring position, which you cannot do in baseball.
It's sad because it's basically just, you know,
another year wasted of his career.
A lot of people talking about why are we talking
about baseball, MLB viewership up 10%. That is right. Across all platforms. How about that? Every network it's on. Fox, ESPN, I assume
whatever digital stuff they're doing it's up. Shohei Otani, megastar playing well. Aaron Judge, megastar
playing well. Paul Skeens, megastar. Playing well and losing. So it doesn't really count.
First salute to lose 25 games.
Good for baseball though.
Yeah, legit.
I think it's a great sport.
Whenever your stars play well and whenever you deliver a product that is watchable, you
can have success.
If your stars don't play well, nobody cares.
Like a lot of people say, well, why do you only talk about this guy or this guy or this
guy?
It's like, well, that's the only people that really matter.
And if they're playing well,
everybody will watch the whole damn league.
Baseball's that way.
We'll continue here from Kerry.
We'll be back tomorrow.
Be your friend, tell your friend something nice.
It might change their life.
We continue.
All right, good little salute there.
Now we're just on digital, YouTube, ESPN+, Disney+,
TikTok Live, probably, unless they banned us, which seemingly happens every other day.
We get kicked off there. But the baseball stars playing well is a big deal. That's the most
important part of the entire thing. Because if you have nobody's playing great, it's great.
And those nobodies become stars, I agree. But the people that are your current superstars,
if they are playing well, people will be more interested.
And Aaron Judge and Shohei are holding it
down, they'll fuck down for baseball.
Yeah, absolutely.
And you have teams in massive markets.
Obviously we had Yankees Dodgers
in the World Series last year.
They're two of the best teams in baseball this year.
You have a team like the Cubs who has a rabid fan base,
not just in the Midwest, but everywhere. They're unbelievable. But yeah, it comes down to that. You have two generational like the Cubs who has a rabid fan base, not just in the Midwest, but everywhere.
They're unbelievable.
But yeah, it comes down to that.
You have two generational talents in Aaron Judge
and Shohei Otani.
And they're both having career years up to this point.
And then even a guy like Jack Caglione,
who we talked with Jeff Passant about,
that kind of next star that's coming up,
who can take a team like the Royals, who
is in a small market who is is good
But you know like they're really not getting the national spotlight when you get a guy like that and you put him in the same
Conversation as a guy like a judge or an Otani like it's great for baseball. So they're in a good spot judge
Otani or
Bo Jackson this Jack cagliola cagliola known
Cagli or a caglin on cagli on cagli on yep Jackie cagli on see from Florida these first roles player since Bo Jackson to debut in the
same year you get drafted I mean you talk about being in the same
conversation as Aaron judge show hey you're in a conversation with Bo Jackson as well. That's good for baseball. Hopefully lives up to the hype once again star has to play
Well, I assume he will yeah, absolutely
This is super rare. It is in baseball, you know, you see with pitchers a little bit more because those guys can kind of
Dictate the game and like a guy like skeins if you're throwing a hundred plus miles an hour
Like you're probably ready to go to the majors and pitch against major league
hitting.
And then you'll just figure it out
over the course of a season or something like that.
They talk about hitting, how it's
like the jump from being a great college hitter
to even going to the minor leagues, where
you have all these guys who, whether they're hurt
and they're down for a double A team or a triple A team,
the jump in competition is just so extreme.
And you look at his numbers, what he's done in double A and triple A. team, like the jump in competition is just so extreme and you look at his numbers,
what he's done in double-A and triple-A.
He's dominated every jump up that he's been at.
So yeah, we'll see if he can do it with the big league club
and I think most people assume that he's gonna, you know,
he's not gonna get sent back down right away.
He's gonna be here to stay, which is huge.
Just had some hot beer over here.
Hot beer's all that. Nothing better.
That was tough. Yeah, it's tough. A couple things better.
He finished mine and was piping up.
Oh my god.
I was yominated when I was talking about Jack Keagley.
Yeah.
I think he's going to do great things for baseball.
I think baseball is going to continue to do great things.
I think my favorite thing that we have not talked about yet
is the fact that Saquon Barkley was strapped up to the wires
Is it moment silence, I don't see people sitting down
Just have time.
OK, no moment of silence.
Can I be too careful?
I didn't think.
All right, all right, all right.
We did wiener, whistle, or whatever.
Good job.
Oscar Mayer.
I'd like to be an Oscar Mayer wiener.
We're just trying to pay our respects.
We're ready.
We were ready.
It was uncomfortably quiet.
Wasn't it?
And it came after an announcement.
I couldn't tell.
These two guys are steady with their hands in their chest,
too.
Assholes.
So was I.
Yeah, me too.
Took a hat off.
Took a towel off.
Saquon Barkley, though, was shooting for the Madden cover.
And they had him wired up.
He was like he was a stunt action movie star,
jumping up over an actor who ran under him
no less than 50 to 60 times.
Him getting used to coming back down to earth
was obviously something,
but Saquon Barkley getting recognized for this filthy,
disgusting, so creative, innovative,
and dumbass play is a beautiful thing, D-Bud.
I like that he even tried it.
We need more of that.
Yeah, this move kind of captured everybody
Whether you were a fan of football or not
Never see it say Kwan Barkley
He's a he's a special special talent had MVP caliber year all the way to the Super Bowl run
But everybody will remember this moment LeBron when he came on he pointed out the point he had on his shoes his cleats that we
Didn't even know at the time.
So just a phenomenal moment.
And I love that it made it to cover a man.
Now it's truly an iconic moment.
Everyone will always remember.
Now the moment that when I first saw this video,
I saw a lot of people thought, you know,
he wasn't strapped up.
I was like, oh my God, this guy's hot.
He's levitating.
A lot of people, but I'm interested in how many times
he had to actually jump up and
land at this photo shoot.
Yeah, they might have had it the first or second time but we need to do it for two to
three more hours, four more hours.
Run these hours up.
Was this the actual defender?
Yeah, that was him.
Do you want to show it up for that?
Yeah, I bet they paid him pretty well.
I would have said no and then they'd throw you a number and say okay.
Was it actually him?
No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. Yeah, okay. Okay, I would have said no and then they throw you through a number
Yeah, okay, all right because I think AJ did not know if
Okay, good. Yeah, I don't I don't believe a jack's helmet on. Oh, yeah, it's just black helmet. Yeah
There are many camp we saw Travis Hunter catching those balls
So if you go to Madden cover to get jumped over you're probably getting cut
That's my assumption, I don't know maybe not
Yeah, yeah, sure. All right. Let's get the hell out of here. We got a game at 630 con CFA SC
We take on athletic real a
Athletic Oh, let's go Miami. Let's go Florida. Real Athletico. Nailed it. 630 on ESPNU and ESPN Plus.
ESPNU?
And ESPN Plus.
You're on the U?
I didn't know it was on the U.
You guys are on the U tonight.
That's right.
Oh, let's be get, had a couple beers here in the afternoon.
Maybe strap up tonight.
Maybe put the boots on.
Maybe have a couple more.
Getting the boots out?
A little swing loop?
No, I got a lower body and an upper body.
We all know that.
Yeah.
And I got a lung brain thing going on.
Sure.
Very serious.
Yeah, my lungs blow up when my brains think I'm tired.
Teasing piece.
So I can't run far enough.
Was it tough?
I know you do have an upper and a lower and a lung brain thing.
Was it tough standing over there?
No.
No, not at all.
No, it was pretty good.
How about Jeff Cameron? It seemed like he was... I think we
had a good time. I genuinely think we had a good time. Because we're trying to figure out, because
we had the possession for so long. It was like legitimate conversation about like, how do we
break it? Start having like hockey combos, like our basketball conversations. Need somebody to drive,
drag somebody out, and then bang, we take advantage of. So that's what we're trying to figure it out.
And so this crew over here really looks good boys they're
doing a lot boys you look good I don't think that's the way to get to them
Foxy they were on the camera not down there they're talking about but yeah he's
talking about behind they're on the camera boom fat shot oh they're gone now
