Hello beautiful people and welcome!
Yeah!
It's great to be here. It's our reaction Monday.
August 11, 2025, this program begins now.
Football!
We're off a little bit, but we had a great time.
We hope you did as well.
You're going to see some tan skin, some fresh vibes,
and an excited group of dudes that are able to talk about a lot of sports happening,
more specifically the NFL being all the way back.
Obviously, we're in the middle preseason football.
the middle preseason football there's a lot of storylines on narratives and injuries
taking place we'll have adam schaefter joining us in about 15 minutes or so then we'll be
joined by dana white congrats of dana white ufc and tk o they just signed a seven year 7.7 billion
dollar deal with uh paramount uh plus i believe which is a skydance property it's also part
of cbs uh for all united states events basically for the next seven years congrats of them
that's a long money that's great for sports and uh also it won't be uh paper
view model. So you'll just say if you're a subscriber to the Paramount Plus operation, you'll just be able to see all the UFC stuff. You also see all Tom Cruise's stuff. You'll see South Park stuff. Feels like they are spending a lot of money and trying to do it differently than everybody else who obviously has these big events and then has people pay a price to do it. Like hey, how do we get people onto our platform? Well, we have a big event, have them have to pay for it, so now they're on a platform. That's kind of been this new streaming pay-per-view operation. This one allegedly just going to come with whatever it is. All their biggest events in the United States are going to be able to be watched just via the stream.
stream on Paramount Plus if you're a subscriber.
So congrats to them getting a deal done.
Hopefully it works out for all parties.
And we love when $7.7 billion is being poured into sports as opposed to other places.
Dana White will join us in about 1240, 1245 to talk about that particular deal.
And then the second hour, we'll have Dan Rolofsky.
Now, the reason why we're going to have Dan Rolofsky on is because I'm sure we're in the middle of the Dan wagon train situation right now.
Dan's latching that wagon to a lot of different things.
The Dan wagon, he's starting to really get rolling.
Can't wait to hear his thoughts.
He also ranked quarterbacks in like 14 different.
things, top tens basically. Second reaction ability, mechanics ability, arm strength stuff,
situational awareness, ball placement. I mean, you name it. Dan Olavski's judging them.
We'll talk to him about it all. And also, there's one particular quarterback that's been
pretty absent from all of it. And he was the quarterback of the number one team in the NFC last
year, the Detroit Lions. You don't see Jared Goff on any of this.
Past offensive football. He don't see Jared Goff. He even did like mechanics, which I think
he's where Jared Gough was like number nine.
Number nine.
Ball placement, uh-uh.
Decision-making?
Not a good enough.
Just there a little bit of heat
between Rolovsky and Jared Gough?
Back in Detroit?
Hey, wait, you look a little bit too much
like how I looked in that uniform.
Just doing a little bit too good.
Maybe a little bit of that.
We'll talk to Dan about all of it.
The NFL being back is great.
We've been watching all the clips.
Hard knocks, obviously, out there.
There's an SEC special on Netflix.
Awesome.
I mean, we've really taken advantage of last week and a half
to try to digest it all.
but I can't wait to chitchat about it all with a great group of dudes.
The talks at tables here at Boston Connor,
anti-Schmidt-Kahnman, Newhead.
Hey, we did it.
We did it.
I had extremely long hair was don't care now.
It's just kind of long hair.
I think I do care now, a lot more,
especially with football being back.
It's incredible time to be alive right now and just having it on the TV,
whether it's two minutes of good football or three minutes of good football
or sometimes even no minutes of good football.
It's just nice to have the football on the screen.
A really good football out of the New England.
Patriots off the kickoff.
I think that got excited up there.
I also like the way Vrabel's talking to people.
Yeah, and the way he's fighting people.
Yeah, I like what the New England Patriots got going on, but that's part of the story.
Let's go to at Ty Schmidt.
Packers look good, brother.
No, yeah, the Packers looks like hammered dog shit.
So, you know, I know it's overreaction Monday.
I've been trying not to, I didn't want to come in here and just.
Yeah, of course, it's a good day.
Exactly.
We're back.
We're back.
We're back.
Great five.
So we'll see.
The one thing I am excited about, seemingly the only guy on the team,
who can catch, because they were plagued by drops big time last year, is Matthew Golden.
So, you know, our first round draft picks looking great.
Jordan Love throwing dots to guys, guys dropping them, defense didn't look great,
a bunch of penalties.
Not good.
Preseason.
Not good.
Preseason.
So I'm not going to over here.
Let's go to one half of the hammer.
Don.
Cowboys AP Town.
You talk about dropping balls.
There's a running back out of Iowa that you guys go out there.
We need to be handing that thing to him every single time.
How do you feel about the Pittsburgh Steelers, boss?
Steelers looked really, really good against the Jaguars.
I mean, two of the best quarterbacks in preseason so far.
I believe Mason was 9 of 10 with a touchdown to Darnel, Washington,
which he's going to be used a ton this year.
Mount Washington, watching Butta, the Baltimore Ravens fan,
who exploded into everybody's algorithm because of a Lamar Jackson quote tweet, retweet.
Him watching Mount Washington do his,
I mean, out of Georgia, remember.
People forget about him because Brock Bowers was the tight end that was getting the ball.
They just had a 6'4-320-pound guy that was able to move and jump over people,
Block, and he's a Pittsburgh Steeler.
Last year, I don't think they used them as much as they
should. I think if you have a guy at 6, 7, 320
and they don't, and your guy can move
and they can't, you should definitely utilize that.
I assume Marty Smith will this year.
Watching Budda, learn of this guy was
some of the greatest internet I've seen sometimes.
His face just naturally
sits in a, what's
this shit? But I appreciate it. But
I appreciate it, but yes, Mount Washington in real
life, big. I mean,
there's levels to this shit. He is
a gigantic human. Vibes are high,
Finder's super high. Schuyler Thompson had a great game.
Caleb Johnson, who you mentioned. Yes, he did
have a couple of drops potentially or whatever.
Has he ever caught a football?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good question.
You can.
I went to Iowa.
Not at Iowa. He didn't.
They've never had it. They didn't throw the ball in Iowa.
Him seeing the ball go through the sky.
What is?
What the hell?
When did we start?
Never seen a forward pass, but he broke outside on Travis Hunter.
Just dog.
So yeah, we're good. Vives are real high.
Okay, so that seems to be the attitude in a lot of places.
Obviously, Packers fans a little bit, but they're doing the,
nah, it's just preseason.
nine-year NFL fan, ladies and gentlemen, Darry's Jake Bowler.
DeButch, I know you're excited about this just as much as I am.
Because preseason football brings out a lot of bruh, you know?
Brat, bruh, he killed it.
On the flip side, bruh, it's preseason.
So we thought it would only be right to put together the all-brough team.
Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations to these fine gentlemen
who have been stealing headlines throughout the preseason with their exquisite play
in a football game that certainly will never go on the record.
Nope.
But we might remember forever.
Now, it's the all bruh team, strictly because, bruh, you can fight either side of this thing.
And I think it's a good thing that you play well in these situations that seemingly don't matter.
But there's a lot of chatter about the captain of this year's team.
Captain?
No questions asked.
We should have put the C on a little bit earlier, but I just decided to put the C on him literally right now.
Because it has captivated the fifth round pick.
So I think we should judge it as a fourth.
fifth round pick conversation. And I don't want to hammer home the same exact topics that everybody
else is talking about. But holy shit, the way the Shador story is going right now is phenomenal.
For fodder. Yes. For fodder. For everything. Yeah. But also maybe for the Cleveland Browns.
Now, you still get a couple of the other guys. Justin Fields comes out. He's obviously the fastest guy on
the field still at all times. Congrats Aaron Glenn in the New York Jets. Maybe having an entire new
world. Jackson Dart, don't look now. Wait a minute.
can run and he's a gunslinger and he looks really cool very cool yeah he looks very cool
having a great preseason us Tyler Warren yeah yeah he's bill of right stuff boys oh yeah he's
out here doing it we don't know who the quarterback's going to be for the Indianapolis
Colts but we do know that Tyler Warren is certainly going to be getting the rock
Jared Stuttum doing it yet again in another preseason Tanner McKee really changing the
world tray Lance holy hell he can play football yeah Trayvion Anderson how you
doing keep a move on and take one of the crib Willie Lampkin what a dog
Legit.
Absolute dog, this willy lamp.
Yeah, probably the future of the Rams.
If you're a Rams fan, all you're thinking to yourself is,
holy hell, we've got a 5-11, 290-pound center
out of North Carolina who's basically AQ Chipley,
but probably even a little cooler because he's fatter.
No, no, he's lighter.
Lighter, excuse me.
Yeah, yeah, the complete opposite.
He's probably a little bit quicker because he's lighter.
Whenever A-Q was coming out, he's 5-11-355.
This guy's 5-11-2-90.
You remember we've seen...
Good dude.
Oh, yeah.
Different game.
We've seen the trip.
Sycicle.
Well, and also, remember, A-Q, I don't know about him.
Yeah, you're right.
AQ is a whole of the feat.
I think Willie might be too.
Yeah, I mean, we assume Lampkin will be able to pull it off.
The rest of the boys obviously did incredible things.
We have a kicker on the team in Cam Little.
I assume there was a bunch of punters that did well.
We apologize.
We did not look through all the film of every punter.
So shout out to all of the punters that were punting in these preseason games.
You guys did great.
Unless you shanked one, then you know you suck.
And you're not on his team.
Sure.
But if you hit a good ball, congratulations, you're on the squad.
Cam Little hitting that 70-yard field goal.
And brough.
It's preseason?
Brow.
the game doesn't matter bro
snap hold kicks 70 yards
anywhere practice
you name it uh training camp
middle of season prep
in a game with refs and humans
watching pulling that off cam little
absolute dog pal he's pro football
writer association on a rookie team latch out of
Arkansas a lot of moxie boys
celebrated the shit out of him and also
I love that down there in
du vah they sent him out there
for a 70 yard at the end of half as opposed to
some coach would be like let's just try
a Hail Mary. You know, let's just try a Hail Mary. Cam Little hitting this. That means in practice
he's hitting this on a pretty regular basis. That thing was beautiful. That thing was a
no daughter. Congrats Cam Little. He's on a Y'all Brought team. Now, what does this mean for how
his season will go? Last year, I think he missed two kicks. I think he was like 23 or 25 or something
like that. 24 or 26. Really good. This kid might be the next one. And we'll be honored
that he's a part of the old bra. Yeah. Alumni. Which is with the story of a lot of these
guys, okay? Right now, the reason
why they're on the All Brought team is because
there's so much confliction on whether
or not they're actually good or if the game
doesn't matter. You know, because you see
Shador up there, our captain.
Yeah, Captain, no Captain. Climbing.
Just doing everything.
Putting his head down. Walking in
the stadium music playing.
Walking with a goddamn guy who had a staff,
cornerback Tony Brown.
This guy, he has a staff with him at all
times when he's not playing ball. I love it.
I watched the movie Jungle and Jungle when I was a kid.
Tim Allen had to
child with another lady
end up in the jungle.
That kid comes in
because the lady lives in the city.
And he's dressed like how this guy dresses.
Right.
Yeah, I saw him walk on in the practice.
There he is.
It's a jungle to jungle.
I watched this movie,
Tim Allen.
It's an unbelievable thing.
If this guy's playing for him,
and Sheddor's playing for him,
and they still got Miles.
Don't forget Jerry Judy.
Our favorite player.
He's on the all brought team.
We'll be forever.
Are the Cleveland Brown's a real deal?
Or is this just?
preseason game debuts and the fact that shouldora was damn near perfect had two touchdowns
had dance had Nike had immediately afterwards had the world talking it doesn't matter because it's
preseason or is this a sign of things to come debuts i mean definitely had the world talking NFL
probably tweeted him out in every clip about 30 40 times when he was playing so yeah everybody's
watching there's been a lot of conversation about him since he dropped in the draft and yeah the
question always different regardless of which side of the argument you're on you're going to stay on
that side. Oh, he played great. It's just a preseason. Oh, he stunk. Oh, I told you he was going to
stink. But he showed up, all the pressures on him, all the lices on him. But let's get to the
tape. Preseason games are pretty much glorified practices, but just like a little with that
long field goal. When you have live reps, which you really never have with quarterbacks
pressure on them, that's why it counts. So, look, rolling out right here to his left.
Step up. This is a play you see week in and week out. NFL reset his feet. It's a right-handed
quarterback. It's tough. Flip your hips. And then you make an accurate throw over the low flat
defender accurately to that tight in who wins
the leverage late against the cornerback.
Great throw, great ball placement.
That's what you want to see out of your rookie quarterback.
He was a fifth round pick. We all know he shouldn't
have been, but he's showing up and taking advantage
of the opportunity. A lot of people talking about, hey,
he's getting in there. He's getting set up for failure.
Nah, the NFL, regardless of where you're
drafted. What was all that talk?
I mean, he didn't have any reps with the first team
and they're throwing them out there still. Yeah, but the first team
wasn't going to be on the field. Yeah, well, that's not how
it works. So if you're not getting reps with the first team,
the first team's not going to be on the field, that shouldn't
affect what you're happening. But, like, I do appreciate that everybody was kind of going
to bat form before the game was even played. Like, kind of, because that is a reality of
situation. Like, there's some quarterbacks that are going to look like shit because they don't
have an offensive line block for them or they don't have any wide receivers that know the goddamn
routes. So you can definitely set a precedent. I didn't like that they were just like,
oh, they're throwing, he's getting screwed, basically, for starting in this game. I thought that
was very interesting take. So I was very appreciative of the fact that he went out there and played
well, and that didn't end up being the thing because I was like,
You know, this is what we want to see, right?
Don't we want to see the door?
And every time we heard him talk, every time you hear him talk,
all he talks about is just being thankful for the opportunity.
And that's what you want as a player.
You just want the opportunity.
So screw all the other stuff.
Regardless of when that comes, we all hear as athletes, the Wally Pip story.
And as a quarterback, as any type of player, you never want somebody taking those reps.
Now, preseason is a little different ball game, but I'm glad he took advantage of it.
Our second play we got here, which we all saw, once again,
stepping up.
Once again, a live rep.
So you got pressure in your face.
This is what you're going to have to do as a quarterback.
NFL. Step up in dirty pockets,
pressure in your face, stare him down, keep your eyes
down and feel and make you accurate throw. Most of these
dig balls, you want one to two yards right outside
the dash marks. He put that ball right on them with two
guys in his face. It's exactly what you want to see from
a quarterback, especially young quarterback. If there is one thing
he learned at Colorado, and Pat talked about
this a lot the last couple years, it's how to throw
with dudes in his face because he was the most pressured
quarterback in Colorado, and he was
tough as shit. Yeah, also he, yeah,
flexed on him after me. I mean,
there was some blindside shots
where he's fully exposed at Colorado
and he steps in the throw,
dime, and then earhole
in 2024. No penalty somehow
because he's outside the pocket
and everything like that. And then he's literally up
celebrating with the guy he just threw a touchdown
to it's like that type of
toughness is real and you can't teach
it, I don't think. And that'll probably be the biggest
area for improvement for him. He did
take a couple sacks, I think on third down
where, you know, extending plays, running back, you can't really
do that in the league. Guys are too fast, too
physical. But he learned from it.
And something he showed, too, was more of his athleticism,
being able to run the ball, break the pocket.
And this next clip, you'll see him actually break the pocket.
This is where pressure from his right side, D.N. puts the pressure on.
He squeezes out to the right.
Once again, got his face accurate, throw it over the top.
Great, one-handed catch.
But that's exactly when you want to put that ball if you're a quarterback.
With the guy, you always hear it in the meetrooms.
If you're D-Lyman, you're rushing the quarterback, get that left up.
You throw it over the top.
Great rain-drop ball to the receiver.
Unfortunately, pulled his hammy.
I think we got some bad news with him.
He's been released.
But he'll be out two to three weeks.
He's not getting surgery at grade two something.
Hopefully gets another opportunity somewhere, but it's a tough time.
He could have been on the old bruh.
It's tough time.
He's on the sorry, bro, team.
No, but he's not sorry, bro.
Which I guess he's a part of the...
The art team.
Yeah, that's a part of the old brother team.
I'm sorry team, bro.
We're sorry.
We're sorry, we're sorry, we're sorry, bro.
First team.
And then his last clip up.
He's captain of the first team.
I hope so.
I think he is actually.
He's probably the cast.
Browns are producing captains right now at a high club.
Uh-oh.
Preseason football.
Uh-oh.
AFC Northern.
Hi, this last clip in the rear of his second touchdown of the game.
Once again, trust in his protector.
You'll see the back scan across, pick him up, step up in the pocket, reset the feet,
and make an accurate throw across the middle.
It's going to be a little tighter windows on Sundays when the game matters.
But once again, this is what you want to see from your quarterback,
getting actual live reps with a bunch of guys you probably didn't have a bunch of reps with.
That is important.
You know, people made a big story out of it, but you never know when you're going to get the opportunity.
Even as a DB, like you weren't as comfortable going into games if you didn't take reps with a nickel or a corner or a safety or linebackers that you've been communicating with and getting those things pre-snap and post-snap.
So that is a big thing.
But I loved everything I saw from, you know, really all the young quarterbacks.
Highland Shuck made some good throws.
Cam Moore, who's not getting talked about as much as a number one pick.
He made some good throws.
Jackson Dart, you mentioned him.
He made some good throws.
But I think the most, the brightest light was definitely.
on Shador Sanders and he stepped up absolutely a lot of eyes on that game
strictly because Shador's there so for as much as the people that don't like
it they're all watching yeah he's got a Floyd Mayweather appeal right now the
people that they don't like oh yeah the people that don't like them now for us
that are big time coach prime fans yeah yeah mm-hmm you see him on that few
oh yeah yeah back where he's supposed to be and I enjoy Shador in the way he's
handled it all you know and the whole family the way they operate so for me
to see him go out and do well
I think it was cool.
Yeah.
I think it was very cool.
Now, bro, we do have to keep everything in perspective here.
It's preseason.
And that's why we got a couple more preseason games left.
And we will overreact to all of it.
Every single time.
And then the real season will come around and guess what will happen?
We'll go, not of that matter.
You remember what Kenny Pickett did in 2023?
That's why he's on the bottom right corner of this particular draft, the All Brought team.
Because let's not get captivated here.
This can go a way where he ends up being a Super Bowl champion for another team.
sure that happens so you have a great preseason there's a chance that it doesn't go great with your team
but you could go on to win super bowl somewhere else right so that's what all the all brought team
members need to look forward to after week one for most of these never forget kenny 13 to 15 200 yards
five straight touchdown drives to start that season wow remember that tone came in here
steels are back seven's back on it's not yeah exactly it's not even just Kenny picket I think it was
just the entire offense as a whole yeah because you know and then the
season happened if you recall
worst offense in the history of
NFL football? Yeah, that's when Deonti Johnson
exploded. It was the worst
in the history of football. They were chanting
to fire the offensive coordinator in
Utah, in Utah,
the country.
The state of Utah.
J.M.U. Deg's dressed up like the devil
on Halloween, as Matt Canada.
I mean, that's how bad it was. Some of my best. But in
2023 in that preseason,
they were, you guys were winning the Super Bowl.
The bell of the ball. So let's not get too
But let's not get too low, but let's make sure we celebrate those who are doing well, because it's better than doing ass.
So congratulations to the boys.
Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is the senior NFL insider for ESPN, front of the program, Michigan, man.
Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Schaftier.
Hey, Shafty.
Shafky, what's up, brother?
Hello, everybody.
How are we doing?
I'm on the drive to Bristol, so hopefully we don't hit any bad Wi-Fi zones, but bear with me, and hopefully we can make it through uninterrupted.
It's okay.
That's the home of sports coverage, you know, up there in Bristol, Connecticut.
I put a good tweet out about that place during the break, had a lot of action.
Tell those people I said hello up there.
Now, on that note, you've been in this game a long time, long time.
How many preseason is this?
Do you remember?
I've covered the league for over 35 years, so by 35th or 6 preseason.
Okay, the Shador hype.
How regular, is this like once every 10 years, something like this happens?
Like, how often do you think this type of situation, especially because,
because he's delivering.
He delivered in a big way.
And he has said everything right.
He went to Cleveland early to go be in the community.
Fifth round pick of this team.
Now, granted, the people that hate him say,
oh, this is bullshit.
But the people that support them and think, like,
hey, maybe there's a chance here are like, hey, keep going.
What are your thoughts on it?
And how regular of a situation is this in over your 35 years?
Well, I think there are always players
that get your attention to the preseason.
But again, very rarely have we ever seen a player who was projected to be a first round pick or a high pick fall to the fifth round and play quarterback and go through everything that Shador went through the first couple nights of the draft?
I remember Friday night, Pat, as the third round was coming to a close, the number of texts that I got from people in other communities like acting, music, other.
sport. It was crazy the amount of people that were interested in why he slid to where he did.
And he wound up going in the fifth round, so there was a ton of attention. It carries over to
the preseason. And I could just think of certain quarterbacks at certain times that flashed
and topped in the preseason the way that Shador did on Friday night. Now, again, I want to be
very clear. One game. One game. So we'll see. But you couldn't help.
Watch that one game and not be impressed by what he did that night.
He threw the ball really well.
He was accurate.
He was composed.
He was poised.
He was all the things that you want to see.
And I think that's what you're looking for right away is guys show right away it's not too big for them.
They belong.
They can play or it is too big for them.
And they can't play.
And they don't belong.
And Shador looked like he belonged.
And so, yeah.
I mean, again, when I think back,
on quarterbacks in the preseason.
Russell Wilson in 2012
popped right away.
And that was an offseason
in which the Seahawks
paid a lot of money from Matt Flynn
as a free agent quarterback
and they traded for Charlie Whitehurst.
And I think back to when the Cowboys
drafted Dak Prescott
and then he came on and lit it up
in the preseason played exceptionally well.
And you could just watch those guys right away
and say, they got it.
They got it.
And that's the way, for what,
game. It looked for Shador, but you know what? The one game now leads to conversations about
how much time he's going to get in the second game. And because now you have to take a longer
look. Now we got to see, okay, well, what was this about? Did we all miss on this guy in the
draft? Did he fall farther than he should? Was everybody right about him? And the teams were
wrong? Like, he had so many fans who thought he should go so high. And Mel Khyper thought he
she goes so high and he goes to the fifth round
and now
and again there's one game I want to
emphasize one game but it was a great start
it was a great start and I my
entire thing has led to
he could have played like ass
and he didn't he played great so it's like
how do we judge we can only judge off what we see
now who he's playing against who he's playing with
not NFL okay that's not
irrelevant irrelevant no no no
but I would like to say this though I'd like to say
this we have to remember he's fifth round
pick okay that's how the teams are going to
him. That's how Cleveland's going to view him because they
invested that in him. So when you talk about
playing in the preseason, it's like you're talking about how much
time, like this is when fifth round
picks would be, I mean, this is
their time, this is their shot. So any opportunity
to get on the field, I think is great,
even if he's not with guys that he's familiar with, this is
the NFL, this is what preseason is for, hopefully
he'll continue to go. Now, preseason, also
devastating for some teams every single year,
injuries happen. These injuries
take place, and all of a sudden before the season
even begins, we didn't have a chance to have
our full roster, especially with all of our talent. Left tackle for the Chargers, obviously,
sad. I mean, absolutely devastating situation. Happy he got paid, and once again, this is why
people look for deals as opposed to getting franchise tagged and everything like that,
because you never know what's going to happen in a sport that is so combative and physical.
Now, Matthew Stafford, I think McVeigh and everybody said he's going to be okay. Landon Dickerson,
Heartbreaker over there in Philly, got carted out. Obviously, that offensive line,
they are what they are. Lucas, Matt, Rondell,
Anthony, Najee, is there anything else we should be looking at?
And how do you classify these injuries if you just kind of want to go through the list yourself?
Well, first of all, in Alexander Madison, the Dolphins running back,
goes down yesterday in the game against the Bears.
Neck injury gets taken by ambulance to a local hospital in Chicago
where he proceeds to go, undergo season-ending neck surgery.
So you could add Alexander Madison to that list.
There's a terrible injury.
unfortunate and I think they got a good
prognosis from the surgery
to where they think he'll be able to play
again next year. But Rishon Slater
he becomes the highest paid
offensive linemen
in NFL history on July
27th and then
a mere 10 or so
days later basically
ruptures his Patel tendon
and need surgery and he's out for you.
Matthew Stafford's been dealing with a back
but the Rams really
look 36 years old back
quarterback going to take hits backs don't seem to get better but i think he's going to be okay um i was
in their building last week and they're i mean if they're in a game right now today matthew stafford
is playing okay so they're trying to maintain him and make sure that that he's going to be as
healthy as he can be when the season opens landin dickerson's having an MRI on his knee today
we'll see what comes back there he's been a warrior in the NFL level has not missed any time
but as a history of knee injuries in college
that led to him falling into the second round.
Lucas Neang, out for the year.
Matt Hennigan, torn Achilles,
Ron Dale Price, knee injury.
Sounds like the season's over.
Anthony Richardson,
dealing with the pinky issue,
which isn't long-term.
And Najee Harris,
you didn't include Dion Bush,
the chief safety,
who ruptured his Achilles
on Saturday,
night like there are the the ravens have lost some rookie cornerbacks to knee injuries
listen it's the worst part of the preseason inevitably guys come back and these guys are
so big and so strong and so fast yeah of course some of these injuries unfortunately are
inevitable and to your point to your point though this is why like if i'm micha parsons or
or Trey Hendricksson or
Terry McClore. You've got to be really
careful. One practice. One practice.
Yeah, you need to remember that.
You need to remember that whenever you're reporting
your inside information from the teams.
They've offered everything they possibly could
to Trey Hendricks. He needs to do that.
And it's like, you get shown these stats.
You know, like, hey, there's a chance tomorrow.
You go out there one dip and rip
and your elbow, shoulder, knee, and ankle.
I'll just give up. How about old buddy from the Ravens?
Was that his?
Mike Green.
Oh, my.
That is what they are talking about,
whenever they talk about going around the edge.
So that's scary stuff.
It's no fun.
It seems to happen every single preseason.
Also, another injury not on there.
Go ahead.
Jerry Jones mentioned that.
Obviously, that's why he was kind of weird of paying guys.
But speaking to Jerry Jones, his guy that wasn't on that list,
and those are serious injuries, T's and P's.
We got an update on CD Lamb.
We saw him take a hell of a shot on the sideline,
the Cowboys preseason game.
Any update on CD?
Well, he got penalized on this play, which was one of the craziest highlights of the weekend.
He has his hands up, the official collides, C.D. Lamb goes down.
It was the hardest hit. He took all game.
And he got penalized on the play.
The league is reviewing it to see if there will be a fine that's necessary,
which would obviously add insult to injury or money to injury.
Unfortunately, he's okay.
Look, everybody's laughing.
him, but you get hit like that.
I know it's just an official, but you're not
expecting it. Who knows what could happen?
Official, to be clear.
Lowman does win all the time.
And that official had pretty good.
He did perform. Yeah, he showed up
in training camp looking good, feeling good about
the year. C.D. like, oh, that would
suck so bad.
I'm not right. Rewinded it again.
Like, explain to me,
you guys are football. Like, what is he
celebrating? Like, this guy's wide open.
What do you think, Chef?
touchdown wide open yeah okay but did they complete the best did they score no no but chef that he's
celebrating his boy this is the wide receiver room and he's literally pointing at him saying hey we got him
we got him we got him probably probably knew the call knew it's gonna be double moves in a nutshell
see that's him scoring a touchdown if this is called in the regular season yeah he knew the call
knew the through the coverage knew everything hey this could be this guy right and it is yeah
touchdown knew it touchdown and the refs like uh
outfielder running for a home run.
Yeah, right to the wall.
With no, I mean, his whole face is on CED's back.
Yeah, and he's got a stiff chest when he's running too.
I mean, that's, yeah.
Great posture, great belt, but we always get told on that sideline,
regardless of what level of football, but especially in NFL, get back, stay off the
white, usually a get back coach or someone.
CD knows, I mean, he's used to being on the field, obviously, but he knows, I'm sure he'll
get a talking to it.
That was a player a little lower in the roster, it'll be a bigger,
deal, but they'll probably find them just to make it a bigger statement across the
lead, because that is a big deal for refs to do their job.
Did the ref finish the game, Chef?
Of course.
Yeah, oh, yeah, he's probable for this week.
He'll be back for preseason week, too.
He's wherever to go.
He should be an all-brother thing.
All right, let's talk a little bit more about one.
He should be, hey, that ref?
Yeah.
He's the official official of the All-Brah team.
Bro, you're running really fast.
Brough, a little awareness.
Ref, hope you're all right, ref.
Good work, bro.
Good work, bro. Great work, bro. Go ahead, Tom.
Yeah, Shephti, I wanted to ask about another player in Dallas, one that we also did not see on the field.
Micah Parsons, he did a thank you Dallas situation where he put out.
It was a long note section.
Are we anywhere new on the Jerry and Micah and getting a new contract?
Is he going to be there week one?
Do we know?
See, also, can I quickly, Micah, when we screenshot that, we can't be repeating sentences.
You can edit that thing.
Screenshot it, put it down.
so then we don't have to go back through
and I read this thing four times.
Anyways, but Micah, I appreciate you getting your
thoughts out there and I like that you use your
notes section. I also use that section.
This is wonderfully put together and I think you thanked
everybody, but I was not happy
about the... Micah, you got your own show.
You got a big brain. You're a smart guy,
you get the biz. You could just...
Just crop it down. Come on. Come on.
Message show got across this, Chefty. I read it four times.
It was a lot. A lot of words.
You didn't read it. I did. I read it twice.
Dev, you read it?
No.
That's why you don't know what I'm saying.
So, like, the end of this sentence is not the beginning of the next picture.
It is like, like, find it in the middle.
We go three sentences back.
Yeah, you know what I mean?
Like, hey, picture one, we should just have a thing.
Picture two, page two.
We're going to new stuff.
You know what I mean?
I'm OG notes screenshot sender.
Yeah.
O.G.
I'm new school.
Just chat, GBT.
Summarize this in three sentences.
Oh, my gosh.
See, that's not good.
That's a problem.
That's not good.
I'm not reading.
Have you seen the brain memes about the chat GPT people?
I don't believe.
And the studies?
I like that.
Did chat GPT tell you to say that?
Maybe.
Let me ask chat GPT, what my thoughts are on how chat GPT is affected by.
Very nice.
Anyways, go ahead.
Shephti, sorry, buddy, we ruined all that.
That's a guy, Micah, I think it's unbelievable that that statement came out about 10 days ago.
And since that statement came out, there have been zero contract talks.
between the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons.
Now, you would think that something like that would trigger some conversation
to get everybody all sides in one room to try to get a deal done.
And in fact, it feels like it's done the opposite.
It feels like Micah is disappointed and bothered.
By the way, the Cowboys have done their business.
It feels like the Cowboys are bothered and disappointed that Micah would make his
feelings known like that asked for a trade.
Jerry Jones felt like he had a deal in place with Micah
that isn't going to get done right now.
And now all of a sudden, there are a whole host of new issues
that we have to ask if these two sides are unwilling to talk,
which has been the case, and unwilling to negotiate.
So, okay, now we got Micah Parsons, who says he is back tightness.
And he's not practicing.
Oh, classic.
You remember the hamstring in the NBA?
That's a good one.
Back tight.
You know, I'll bet you back tightness can linger for a long time.
And back tightness.
Hope he's healthy.
Yeah, usually lingers when contract negotiations usually are not progressing.
So the Cowboys open their regular season three weeks from Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
And Jerry Jones himself has said that he doesn't know.
and may not expect Micah to play in that opening game against the Eagles.
And so now they're making no progress.
They're not talking about a new deal.
And unless things change, you have to wonder where this is going.
The Cowboys have said they're not.
They're not interested in trading them.
That's what they say.
But at some point in time, if you're not going to sign the guy, then you're going to move the guy.
There's two choices.
sign them or trade them.
And right now, they're not talking contract.
He's got a tight back.
And so who knows where this is?
Hey, my question for you, Schaeffer, with all this,
and the tight back, obviously, we hope he's okay.
He's a special talent on football field.
We would hope to watch him all year.
But if that back does get a little bit better
if you sleep on a pile of money,
we also have seen this in the past in this entire thing.
As your connection goes unstable in this entirety.
Jerry Jones said, Jay-Z, is this real?
I've been seeing a lot of quotes about him dealing with Jay-Z with Rock Nation agency back in the day.
Jerry, like, Jerry didn't negotiate deals with agents?
Why does this continue to be talked about as if this is like his thing?
Like, yeah, I don't talk to the agents.
Like, how have you got every, everybody represents himself that plays for the Cowboys?
Yeah, no, no, no.
I think, I think over time, Jerry has had a history of doing some of his biggest deals with some of
his most well-known players exactly a handshake bat he gets them in he's talking to him
and in this particular case jerry felt like he had a deal but but micah and his agent never
felt like there was a deal uh there's no paper there's no contract there's no nothing that was
presented maca feels or jerry feels like he was wronged oh yeah so there's two
there's two different interpretations two different interpretations of the events that went on in the discussion
between Jerry and Micah.
The bottom line is they're nowhere right now,
and it feels like the state of the relationship
has gotten worse,
and again, it's going to be really interesting to see
how tight Micah's back is on opening night.
Yeah, I hope we see Micah.
I hope they get a deal done.
I'm going to say this,
for how good of a player Micah has been
with being a first-round pick for the Dallas Cowboys,
with the night he gets drafted saying
he dreamt of being a Dallas Cowboy and all that,
for him to go into his fifth year
of his rookie contract without a new deal is
abnormal. Not just for like Dallas Cowboys,
I think just for that position,
that player for any team,
first rounder, for you to hit like you hit,
and not get a deal done going into the fifth round,
going into the fourth year, abnormal.
Going into the fifth year,
which is the bonus year that they had to tag on top
from, let alone the two franchise tag years we got ahead of this.
Very abnormal.
This is a very weird situation in my eyes.
And Jerry, you know, he's got a documentary
coming out here in about eight days.
That's right.
The gambler and a cowboy.
America's team, August 19th, 2025.
I wonder if the last chapter would be him and Mikea doesn't know I had to mic'd up.
We were talking to one of my rooms.
We agreed to a deal.
You say we didn't agree.
It's right here.
It's in a documentary.
America's team.
Shook Hayne.
The game learned of cabal.
Old school.
So he feels like he was wronged is what you're saying.
Like business-wise, he feels like he was bamboozled by Micah.
Is that kind of the thought?
Because if that is the case, I think Jerry's type of guy who will be.
oh yeah oh yeah fuck this
is that accurate is that how this is being
and we lose him that's a big piece of information
here this is a big piece of information
that's that's why I understand
maybe he's done that in the past but if you are
Micah and you're playing this position
this is a position that Miles Garrett resetted
T.J. Watt just jumped him
and you're right in line like you said he's done
everything right from day one even last year
like he was battling through some injuries
when he could easily set out you know looking forward
to getting his contract done and when you're
Michael and you have one of the best agents in the game
represent you, it would be
terrible for you. And I'm sure that PA
wouldn't want him to do this anyway, to represent
yourself in these negotiations. Oh, you know,
let me shake your hand because this is how you've done
it. That's ridiculous. This is too much
money at stake for Michael
to do. And Jerry, he can do it. He's going to be around
for, you know, his business is going to be there forever
in his family. But Michael, he done the right thing.
Get your business done right. Yeah, and also
I'm okay with deals getting done via a handshake.
This is for a future reference.
But got to hammer out all the details
on paper.
I mean, that is
legitimately how it all works.
Hey, Shepter, we're kind of
hypothesizing about the entire situation here.
So Jerry believes,
and let me get, this is probably already been reported,
so I apologize, we're on beach.
Yeah, exactly.
Somewhere on a beach.
Um, strong.
New baby.
She's awesome.
All day long.
Jerry feels wronged
by Micah because they had a handshake
deal that Micah then
reneged on in this entire thing. That's how he views it.
I think Jerry feels like they had the makings of a deal, if not an agreement in place.
He talked to reporters last week about the fact that when he bought the Cowboys,
it was a handshake deal. That's what he said.
And he's done a lot of handshake deals over time.
And again, Micah feels like he never saw a contract.
Never agreed to anything.
His agent never signed off on anything.
And so there are a whole host of issues there.
And again, you mentioned Micah's draft class.
If you look it up, look at all the players around him and in front of him that have already been paid.
Any good player in front of him, from Jamar Chase to Devante Smith to Penesoul to 13.
Most of those are J.C. Horn, Sertan.
They've all been paid already.
and Micah has not been.
And so he's watching his draft class all get paid.
He's watching the top pass rushers across the league,
whether it's Max Crosby, Daniel Hunter,
T.J.
Miles, T.J. Watt all get paid, and he's not.
Not only is he paid, his own team is not even talking to him
and he feels insulted by what they've said about him in the summer.
So again, I just think it's a situation that's gone the opposite direction
and they're further apart from the deal today.
than they were in, let's just say, March or early April.
Jeez.
So he was 12th overall in that particular draft.
If you were not just take against his draft class, who all got paid,
I think if you were to take him, his stats, his draft thing,
and also saying, I dreamt of being on this team on draft night
and put them into their, like the simulation,
everybody's getting paid on their fourth year.
Everybody.
Micah needs to go back into his office, though, brother.
Micah, you need to go back in there.
You got to do one of these things.
I think if you want to get a deal done,
I think that's what you're probably going to have to do.
Just after watching Jerry and Landman,
you know, it feels like that,
especially the way he talks about it.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong
because people can forget how a handshake's supposed to go, too, you know?
Some people can have one view of what a handshake deal looks like,
and the others have another view of what the handshake deal actually is.
And then whenever it gets put on paper, it's like,
wait a minute, we didn't talk about this particular thing,
and then you can get pretty offended.
So I think you should go back in there and shake his hunt.
But I also think he should have been paid already.
And I'm also starting to think Jerry maybe, like maybe that thing used to go 96.
I think we're throwing BP maybe.
88.
Yeah, I think we might be throwing BP all of a sudden.
Yeah, I'll watch the gambler and the cabboys for sure.
But, I mean, there's a chance.
Okay, let's talk about somebody else that may be, I don't know if you won't get paid before his fifth year.
Will the fifth year even happen?
Yeah, that's a good question.
We're talking about super hype.
okay a lot of hype most hype that I've heard in some time generational hype
that comment yeah Schaefter obviously a lot of the quarterbacks play not all of the
quarterbacks play but the biggest ones you know Mahomes burrow some other guys also
Caleb Williams kind of in that category of dudes you would expect to see in preseason
week one new offense the whole nine with Ben Johnson we don't see any Caleb Williams
instead. Some speculation
on the internet is claiming that he
did not play because he does not know
how to run Ben Johnson's offense
yet. Is that the case?
And how closely should we be
looking at Chicago as a spot
that's not a proven year for the
quarterback, but definitely a pivotal
year in his organizational
kind of tenure for Chicago?
Yeah. Well, I
think what happened here is that the
dolphins got to Chicago last
week on Wednesday.
And they had intra-squot scrimmages where coaches can control that.
And Caleb got plenty of work against the dolphins.
And so if you're not going to stick out your regulars and you're not going to stick your first team offensive line in,
oftentimes you don't want to stick your quarterback in there.
And I think Ben Johnson felt like Caleb got the work in a controlled environment that he needed to.
Now, I will say this, it's a little odd that in the same game, Tootungle by Lowe is out there.
playing in a pre-season game
and Caleb Williams is not. Joe
Burrow, who hasn't played
in a pre-season ever, is out
there this weekend, and Caleb
Williams, who's learning a new offense, is
not. So it
seems a little odd in that sense,
but I'm just telling you that their thinking was
that Caleb got to go against
the dolphins in practice
all week long in a controlled setting
where he gets to wear a jersey, where he's not
subjected to hits, and they got
the work that they felt they needed to get in with them,
during the course of last week
without having to put him out there Sunday
and risking injury behind a backup
offensive line. All right, I respect that
move, I do, and I respect
the way Ben Johnson, that guy's back with the
Chargers, can't wait to see what he does. I respect
that Ben Johnson is trying to change the culture
there, too, seemingly a little bit more accountability
driven, a little bit more hard-nosed,
a little bit more of a hard-ass. It feels like
he got juiced up. I think there was a fourth and goal
stop that they had. He's out on the field flex, and I think
Miami got them back later with a fourth
and goal stop as well on the other side. It was
good joust between EC. I will say
there was some moments in there. The Caleb
shit's, there he is, there's the actual flex I was talking
about. The Caleb stuff on the internet
is loud. Should it be?
What are you hearing out of Chicago?
Like he talked, I'm sorry,
Connor talked about it being maybe a proof of year.
Sean Payton goes into Denver as
you're mid-blink there, I know, take it all in.
He goes out to Denver and has
the capability, basically, move on from Russell Wilson
if it doesn't work out. Ben Johnson went
there because of Caleb. He's there to make Caleb good.
What is the pressure on Caleb this year?
And what is the reality of the situation currently?
I think that there's pressure on every quarterback every year,
and they did everything to uplift Caleb this year,
from hiring the head coach to all the moors that they made.
They went out and traded for two offensive linemen.
They signed another.
They signed Drew Dolman and Free agency.
They trade for Jonah Jackson.
They trade for Joe Tuny.
They hire a coach to elevate care.
This is all designed to make sure that Caleb Williams is a massive success,
because that's the type of talent that he has.
So, yeah, of course, this pressure on him
because everything they've done
has been geared to making him better.
So it's up to him.
Now, if this season went on and he didn't play well,
well, that pressure is going to only rise next year.
It's going to get ratcheted up.
But I think there's pressure on all these guys every year.
Everybody's watching to see how it goes.
And this organization, I think, has given him everything
that he could want to play to the best of his abilities.
Come on, Caleb.
We can't wait to watch.
There's some Caleb shit that he can do that nobody else could do,
and we're excited to watch it.
Hopefully all come to fruition.
Last question here is we have Mr. Dana White joining us in about a minute and a half.
Chefty, where do we stand on the Colts QB battle?
It seemed like going into their first game against the Ravens.
The tide had kind of turned, and Anthony Richardson, everyone talked about how good he'd look,
you know, new body, all that kind of stuff.
And then very early on, he gets smacked in the teeth real hard, dislocates his pinky.
Shane Steichen did mention today that he's full going practice today.
he's good. He's going to play on Saturday against the Packers, although Danny Dimes will start.
What are you hearing about this battle? Because going into the game, it certainly did seem like
it was Anthony Richardson's job to lose. Well, it did, and now it still seems like it's a battle
that hasn't been decided, and it still feels like a battle that's going to play itself out here
in the final couple of weeks of the preseason. I don't think the Colts sound ready to make a
decision just yet. And Anthony Richardson obviously needs to do a better job at picking up
but seeing things recognizing certain situations and most important whether it was or wasn't
his fault, staying healthy. I know it's not his fault. This guy comes around. He doesn't respond
quick enough. Somebody missed him. Whatever it may be. But it's another injury. Fortunately,
it was not more severe. He's able to bounce back. But I don't think this team has decided
who its quarterback is going to be yet. I think the job is there to be one.
still and one of these guys is going to have to go out and win it the next couple of weeks.
So a lot of quarterbacks say, hey, you got to know that that's coming.
But then also I saw a lot of people who are fans of the game say, nope, that's sure the guy
should have been blocked.
So, I mean, there's a lot of, a lot of congestion about it or whatever, conjecture about it.
All I know is he's still playing.
That's a big shot.
Yeah.
That was a very big shot.
I'm not looking a shot almost exactly like that in the actual game.
But yeah, I mean, who knows who it was on.
Looks like, yeah, who knows who was on.
But yeah, you got to stay healthy.
You know, your ability is the best availability.
We're still believe ours, brother.
All right, we appreciate your safe travels.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Sheffield.
Like Danny Dimes, too.
It's like a crazy.
I've seen some highlights out of Danny Dimes.
I mean, if you think about a guy who's 14, 16 years old,
how old is Anthony Richardson?
Yeah, 23.
21 years old, 23, whatever it is.
Still got all the talent in the world.
Like his prep before practices.
Oh, yeah.
Don't love that he got an injury early
because that kind of adds to this guy.
always hurt dislikated pinky not like he's fine we move along you got you got an
all brought player so who even cares in a d. Mitchell I mean all the highlights
coming out of him are incredible speaking of highlights how about seven years
seven point seven billion dollars ladies and gentlemen the man who uh I don't
know his official title we just assume runs the UFC president CEO
super duper boss a man who was smoking a cigar and his IG story today saying
It's going to be a good day.
You're damn right, ladies
gentlemen, Dana White.
Yeah, Dana.
Congratulations.
Thank you, buddy.
Appreciate it.
No problem.
I like the TKO group shirt.
Hey, I like what we're doing here.
Okay, obviously,
WWE gets massive deal done
with ESPN.
UFC gets huge deal done here
with Paramount Plus
in Skydance.
I believe it's P. Sky is their particular
publicly trading thing.
How's this come together, Dana?
This is a huge swing by Paramount
to get into sports.
sports full time. How pumped were you that they were a part of this? And, you know, is this
where you thought you were going to end up at like a month ago? I agree with everything you
just said. Yes, you know, we've been going through the process. No, I didn't think this is
where we would end up, but this is sort of how it played out. I love it. These guys are
obviously very smart guys, very aggressive. And when you think about streaming, right? Streaming
incredible. You know, when they drop a great show, the problem with the whole services,
I can watch it tonight or I can watch it two years from now. Live sports is going to be a big
deal, you know, with all these streaming services. And, you know, we're going to play a big part
in it. And when you look at Paramount Plus, right, this new deal that we're going into,
you get to watch all the UFC programming on there, no pay-per-view anymore. You know,
it's $13 or whatever it is
and you get everything. Plus, these guys have
South Park, Yellowstone.
I've been talking about Mobland
now. Ironical.
Unreal. Tom Cruise. They got Tom Cruise.
Just all of Tom Cruise as well, brother.
Palsa King. I mean, the list goes on and on
of all the content that they have, great shows.
So now you get
you know, all the UFC content
plus, you know, all this other great content, too, TV shows.
And they have much bigger plans
ahead and we are very
aligned with them and I'm excited to be in business
with the Ellison's. We're very excited
that they're getting into sports in the way that they are.
You know, Dad, Larry, I believe,
he paid, what, $100 million for that kid to go
play quarterback in Michigan?
He just dropped 100 million.
They're going to boy now running Paramount Plus.
I'm excited they're getting into sports
in a way that they are in Skydance, I think, has a deal
with the NFL to make movies about sports.
So I appreciate you trailblazing
into the sports world and continuing to
keep it moving there. Now, this is for all
events right is that accurate yeah this is this is just for us so we'll still go out and cut
different deals uh you know in different territories but you know when when you get in business
with it with a global uh sport like us i mean i'm sure they have plans uh we haven't got that far
yet but you know plans to to go into other other countries too let's talk about the pay-per-view
model being uh done here for you usually these streaming services as they're gathering an audience
try to host a big event to draw people in and then they hope their shit keeps them there okay we're
gonna have a big event and then we'll keep our shit now Netflix just been building since the beginning
their blockbuster so they got everybody everybody else has to have these live events to bring people in
amazon was doing with like music i think they're having like big concerts then they got in the
NFL now they're getting in sports ESPN plus UFC other pay per views they get in there to have
these events so with paramount plus saying hey we just want people to be subscribers and enjoy it
they have to have a pretty big audience base already i would assume and how do you
view this? Do you think it's going to be a success
in how everybody else is going to end up doing it
in this particular world?
Yeah, I think that, you know, I think
all these streaming services, no matter who they are,
have to be involved in live sports.
You know,
any type of sport, you have to
watch it live. Nobody's going to watch
a taped or
delayed, you know, sporting event.
So yeah, I think they all have to have
it. And it's
going to be fun because, you know, there's
all these disruptors in business right
You know, when you think about us growing up, I never thought taxi cabs would go away, or, you know, cable television would crumble and go away.
It's fascinating to see all that.
And, you know, we're always on the top of new technology and trying new things.
You know, I left I left DirecTV and went to ESPN Plus.
And, you know, when you make these decisions, it's scary at the time, but one of the greatest decisions I ever made.
My relationship with ESPN over the last seven years has been amazing.
We had our bumps and bruises in the beginning
and figuring out how to work with each other
and it's been great.
I have nothing but amazing relationships with ESPN.
They help take us to this next level.
So, and Fox before them and Spike TV before them.
Our Spike TV days.
What a run they had.
Now's not the time, Paramount Plus, doing great.
Spike TV had a, late night Spike used to be a slam ball.
Hey, thank you for giving me through a lot of parts of my life, Spike TV.
Speaking of your ESPN relationship, the ninth season of Dana White's Contender Series
debuts tomorrow night exclusively on ESPN Plus.
Yeah, let's go!
Nine seasons!
I love this show.
I'm actually in Miami right now.
I'm moving my daughter into school down here.
She's going to the U.
And, yeah, we're excited.
And moving her into school, then I fly back tomorrow for the Contender Series.
The greatest show on television.
I love the Contender Series.
and I'm looking very forward to this next season.
Also, the contender series is TV contracts are up in the next...
I'm joking. I'm joking.
Speaking of this Paramount Plus deal, $13 for an entire month.
Going to get one of the biggest fights in the cards of all time.
Go ahead, Con, man.
Yeah, Dana, obviously, the fight this weekend is a massive one,
DDP and Comzat.
What are you expecting from the card this upcoming weekend?
And how is Chicago as a whole when it comes to a venue?
Awesome.
You know, we haven't been to Chicago since,
pre-COVID, so
it's good to get that. Carred sold out.
Main event is badass. That's going to
be a fun fight, and
I'm looking forward to Chicago, too.
I'm keto right now. I'm probably going to
jump off keto for
a couple days, but I get to Chicago.
Oh, no, I think if you jump off a couple of days,
have maybe a little bit of that lasagna
pizza that super deep dish pizza,
maybe do a porteller's dog,
put ketchup on that thing, so it tastes good
in the entirety of it all.
But keto, in that...
Boom, Alnadi's!
Gipsons
Givesons
They bring out
desserts this big
and with a knife
stuck in the top of it
it's unbelievable
Chicago, here I come
Treat yourself, Dana
Treat yourself, Dana
Even if it's keto
Yeah, you need another
F at Friday back in
And I think your body
will appreciate it too
They'll be like
Oh, this is what it was like
They'll fight even harder
for you on the other side
of keto.
So big weekend this weekend
Can you tell me a little bit
more information on the White House
because that's going to be on Paramount Plus
That might be on CBS
You know what I mean?
Think about that.
Fight card from the White House live and free on CBS, the network.
Come on.
Hold on now.
That could be like biggest numbers of all time,
which I assume is what you're dreaming of here.
All right, well, congratulations on the great success.
Enjoy the U down there.
I think their football team.
They paid Carson Beck like $6 million or something.
Allegedly.
They're going to be good down there.
It's going to be a rowdy fall.
I'm coming back here for the Notre Dame,
for the Notre Dame Miami game.
so I'll be there
I'll be there for that
I'm gonna be
I'm becoming a Miami fan now
I'm a hurricane

No more pay-per-views.
That's incredible.
I think boxing is going to still.
Not on Netflix, right?
Because Netflix's probably going to get into that game.
Yeah, Riyadh season.
Oh, interesting time to be alive.

Hello, beautiful people.
And welcome back to our humble the bone, the thunderow, on this overreaction Monday,
August 11, 2025, hour two of the program begins right now.
Football!
He's fantastic, and we're lucky we get a chance to chat about it.
The toxic table is here at Boston Connor and that, Ty Schmidt.
Great dog on your chest.
Thank you very much.
I figured I were a dog just because these Patriots are just looking like a bunch of junkyard dogs.
Oh, I thought you're talking about the Cleveland Browns and dog pound because of what they got going on.
I'm not, look, I know everyone's talking about Shadir, and it's great, but little do everybody know the Browns have a five,
quarterback back there that was drafted before
Shador, and his name's Dylan Gabriel.
When that kid gets a chance, he's going to spin
that pillow like he's 5'10.
We saw him. We saw him behind his own
line at the Rose Bowl. He's 5'7.
Solid, stern.
You can play? Bill. Yeah, but that grass
remember pushing you down a little bit.
So it's probably
they ain't going to have Rose Bowl grass.
He didn't. Everywhere around.
Yeah, I think
I think, Deshawn
Watson sits on his sideline there. I thought
that was maybe AI created.
Like the Grock Imagine thing.
Him wearing his own logo on his head,
I thought was the most self-aware thing I've seen
in a long time on that particular sideline.
I appreciate it.
The preseason is the greatest.
You can see the little things.
Looking at the Packers do a great job.
Ty pumped up about you.
Let's go to one half of the hammer.
Cowboys AP Tone.
Tone, what should we be talking about our preseason
that we haven't chatted about enough?
If a breaking news.
Kind of breaking news,
the first AP pool for college football
just came out in Texas as your number one team in the country.
Well, preseason AP top 25.
Now, Tone is AP voted for the NFL, not for college.
Texas, number one in the country.
I think they also have the best odds to win a national championship.
Penn State number two.
Congrats James Franklin.
True Ailer and the boys.
Ohio State always going to be high because the team is obviously phenomenal.
Clemson now is the interesting team that nobody has talked about or thought about all offseason
except for Clemson fans.
Now, I know the ACC has talked about in the way that the ACC's talked about it.
We love the ACC, love everything about it, especially down there with Bill Belichick now.
Come on, now. He's doing his thing. But the thought that Dabo is going to be back in the national conversation is great for college football. I'm happy about that.
Greg McElroy actually has Clemson is their number one team in the country in his eyes on his always college football podcast.
He has Clemson as the number one overall team in the country. Tone, what are we seeing from the AP top 25? What are we seeing from McElroy's top 25? What are the expectations here?
So with the AP and kind of macaroys, the big thing to me coming into this season is there's so many question marks for a lot of these top teams.
And Greg probably is Clemson at number one because there's not question mark.
K. Columbine had 43 total touchdowns, I think, last year to six interceptions.
They're returning all five offensive alignment, all three of their top wide receivers.
They return three, or sorry, two defensive linemen are going to be drafted in the top 10 of next year's draft and a corner is going to be drafted in the first round.
So, like, there's not questions about Clemson, I don't think.
And then...
And that boy can coach.
And that boy can coach.
And they do the NIL.
Yeah.
They start doing it in NRI?
They started doing the test report.
Penn State, there's not a lot of questions.
Like, yes, Penn State has disappointed us a lot over the last few years, but that we know
who their quarterback is.
We know who their coach is.
We know they're running backs.
We know the defense is going to be really good.
Ohio State loses a ton.
Like, they lose their quarterback.
They lose their entire defensive line.
There's question marks there.
Georgia's got a new quarterback coming in.
And Notre Dame's got a new quarterback coming.
Oregon, Alabama, Miami.
All have new quarterbacks coming in.
Like, there's a lot of questions in this top 10.
So I think when you look at the pool,
or like this preseason pool, Texas,
not as many question marks, Penn State,
not as many question marks, not as many question marks.
And I think that's why they're the three of the top 14th.
And we'd also like to break some news at this exact time.
Coming out on Wednesday, an annual tradition about to take place.
They need to know gambler's guide for college ball.
$9.99 this year.
Tony, you put a lot of great work, and congratulations.
Thank you.
This is the second annual.
Two time.
We did crack in.
We were able to crack in there.
Now we did have to buy a couple at the end, but we still got it past the list.
Need to know gamblers got it for college ball.
DeBone wanted to work on the cover.
Tony, you want to work on the inside.
What are we going to find in this thing on Wednesday?
So I did a preview for all 68 Power 4 conference team.
So that would be every single team in the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, and SEC.
So you'll get a full page preview.
on each of those teams who's coming back, who their
coaches, where their weak
spots are, stuff and breaking down the schedule
stuff like that. And then, you know, at the end
I give out about 32
best bets as far as totals for
over, under for the season
only. There will be
a bracket on who I think will make the college football
playoffs. So you could also bet off of that.
Heisman winner, stuff like that. So yeah,
probably about, it'll be about 75, 80
pages of college football
breakdown. Why
isn't South Carolina on McRoy's
And maybe it's because I just
watched the SEC show, but I
love Beamer, and I thought everyone was talking about
Lenora Sellers being a Heisman, and then
the one team that's not on McRoy's
and I think South Carolina is 13
on the AP or 12, and
South Carolina is not even in his top 25?
Is that kind of one of those teams that
people are either, hey, Heisman
a national championship or bust?
I think it's because a lot of people think Lenora Sellers
is going to have to be Superman and
carry the team a lot, because there's not a
ton of other pieces on offense.
so it's like if Lenore
sellers has a Cam Newton run
yeah they can do it but if he
does not if he does not live up to the potential
then they may they may follow
here the Heisman trophy odds Arch Manning
plus six hunds Kade Klubnick number two
overall odds alongside Nussmeyer
Jeremiah Smith Ohio State new quarterback
he's always open you know that
Drew Ailer obviously I like the way
their season end now granted everybody wants to win a national
championship in making a massive mistake and having
to sleep on that all offseason I think could be good
for his development or it'll expose him as a guy that
was never supposed to be. It's one way or the other up there. James Franklin, too, in that
conversation. The Norris Sellers, Ty Simpson, Carson Beck, plus 2,000. DJ Lagway, plus
2,200 down there. Hammer it. Why is that? Did you see the cover of the, uh, the need
to know gamblers guy? I don't know if you saw that. Did you see, did you see the graphic down there?
Great job. Yeah, it is a great job. Just a little bit in front. Two dogs. Just a little bit in front of
any other you know what top four yeah absolutely he's got thighs for arms lagway yeah uh florida
is a major part of that cc show and a lot of it's lagway and billy napier and lagway is one big
son of a bitch teams that aren't on there are probably pretty bummed out like for instance
west virginia i assume would be just just being the top 25 because of richrod's aura it is all the
way back now this was ripped off of somebody that was ripped off of somebody that was ripped off of
somebody. But what was happening here is Rich Rod was ripping the shit out of somebody. And
that particular somebody was the guy wearing the stripes. I think. This has not been confirmed,
but I've seen this particular action before. And he'll really give the tell at the end here
because the guy in the stripes fucks up again. And then he has to raise his hands that we're going
in. We're going, going in. Okay. So what happened here, just a little explanation. Pause.
Okay, that's stripes right there. Okay, that's an equipment manager. That person wears the
stripes, everything like that. He used to spot the ball for the drills.
Rich Rodriguez's old mantra.
It used to be spot the ball.
We had it on shirts.
I think the West Virginia University,
people used to promote it.
Like, West Virginia football, spot the ball.
The statement was spot the ball
and get the fuck out of the way.
That is the entire,
that is what the actual mantra was.
And it was to refs, okay?
Then we're going to tell these refs
to spot the ball and get the fuck out of the way
because we're running...
We're running fast and we're beating people up.
So the equipment manager has to be the ref.
Need you to spot the ball.
You got a script, okay?
I think what happened here,
now continue to play it a little bit,
and this guy just creeped in.
He's in charge, okay,
of making sure equipment manager did good.
So they are both definitely, definitely getting it right now
because he said,
I'm sick and tired of having a coach everybody on the field.
He's talking to him,
but he's also burying stripes over there.
He's burying them,
and just right in front of him.
Seen this before,
it is a fantastic,
fantastic wizardry of words.
is what Rich Rod's able to do.
And the fact that he still is this
fired up about a ball being spotted
is a magical thing.
A great idea on your part for the book
is I got a quote from the head coach
on every single team on kind of what
they're kind of looking for this year.
Rich Rod's quote from the book,
I don't know what the last couple of years' stats were.
Our goal is to be the fastest playing team in the country
as far as ball getting snapped goes.
Boom.
Spot the ball.
Yeah, and that stripes right there,
that equipment manager is a vital piece
of the entire operation.
Defense aside, too.
Oh, yeah.
Like, hey, you got to get that ball spot it.
We got D1 athletes, okay?
We're paying these dogs here to be here.
You, equipment manager, maybe never played in your life, okay?
You got to get in there and get the hell out of the way.
While these dudes are exhausted, puking, running at each other,
spot the ball, get the fuck out of the way.
And I think he's going to learn.
You know, this ain't Neil Brown's operation.
Okay, he might have been a little bit of a carryover.
But the West Virginia Monnieres, maybe this year.
I mean, with what I'm seeing.
Maybe this year, I'm thinking two.
years whenever we get the full culture in there. Greg McElroy ain't going to help himself
will put us up our top. Could be IU. Strictly from Rich Rod's aura. I mean, it is a damn
shame, though, because... Nah, we didn't have 13 million? Didn't I you have 13, 14 million or something?
Yeah, I will tell you, I know personally that we did not have that amount of money.
Yeah, I mean... I almost know exactly how much money. Go ahead. If he had Gigi last year,
there's a chance, you know, West Virginia wins the national championship of what we're seeing
out of him this year. Listen, Garrett Green is running a wild brother at wide receiver
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Whoa.
Yeah.
And Garrett Green was a lightning rod for us.
Obviously, we didn't win as many games as everybody thought we should.
So Garrett Green's going to take the brunt of that at West Virginia.
I don't think it was Garrett Green's fault ever.
He was on a show.
He's a dog.
He's playing a new slot white wide receiver guy.
And he's doing it.
New Edelmo?
Yeah, kind of.
That'd be.
Look out.
And you see him finding holes too, looking for the quarterback.
It's like there is an advantage to being quarterback and then rolling into wide receiver.
Now he's not the tallest.
I don't think anybody's ever going to call.
call him that, but he's a dog. He did a lot of great things for West Virginia, and people
are saying, yeah, if Rich Rod had Garrett Green a quarterback, come on. I mean, there's a chance
we go. People are also saying, Nico Matarot. Yeah, sure. Could throw the ball. Spaghetti.
If we would have had Spaghetti and Garrett Green at Slot, you know, and maybe running back there.
You know, maybe we were able to do our thing, but Garrett Green was such a good leader.
You know, he had all the boys over at the house. Remember. Sure. That's the guy. Joining us now,
ladies and gentlemen, is a college football national champion. Super Bowl champion,
Ryder Cup winner, ladies a gentleman, AJ Hawker, like they were still growing the hair,
you look amazing. How do we feel about West Virginia not being in the top 10 of either of these?
And how do you feel about Ohio State being top three when we don't even really know how it's going to go?
We just assume they're going to be great. That has to be a great compliment to the people of Ohio.
Yeah, I guess I'm sure people are upset that they're not number one, but you know, like I think we've talked about preseason polls in the past.
Like, I don't know. I don't understand them. I get we talk about it. I understand why they're here.
But it doesn't matter.
Who cares?
Whatever you are, use this motivation to try to get to the top.
Like, if your Texas say, great, we deserve to be here.
If you're Clemson, your Ohio State, say, hey, we should be number one.
Let's go out there and prove it.
Yeah, the thought of Clemson being back in the combo was kind of, like, startling over the last couple weeks.
As we're doing research, get back into the season, you know, like, wow, people high on Clemson.
Completely forgot people were high on Clemson.
Like, that was a little bit of a take.
Then as I start reading it, and then you start putting it.
the stats together. It's like, and
dat boy's getting back. I like
the dabbo's getting back
into the national conversation. And a lot
of it with all due respect to the teams in the
ACC is there's not a lot of other
teams. Yeah, and that's why Clemson
last year was just a nothing because they lost
to Georgia week 1, 31, nothing. And then
Miami was the ACC team. And then
just the last two weeks it turned into Clemson.
Now that the AP is out, now
you're saying that week one brought it up. Three
top 10 games in week one. You have
Texas, Ohio State, L.O.
LSU and Clemson, and then Miami
and Notre Dame is on Sunday.
So that'll be your three
top 10 games, week one.
College football is so close. Just a couple
weeks, and we'll be over there in Columbus, Ohio.
Yeah. Cannot wait to get
over there, get back in the swing of things. We'll be
Lee Corso's last head group. That's right.
I think that's going to be a pretty emotional show.
I would assume so. I assume that's going to be
a lot of different, you know,
call-ins or show-ups,
messages.
Cameo.
Yeah, there it is. That's the thing.
and uh huh just turned 90 happy birthday yeah that was incredible i get an email
hey coach corso's turning uh 90 if you guys want to say anything and i'm literally just
as i'm i'm walking on the beach it sounds so uh i live our life now though you should see me
walking that beach i fucking love it yeah vacations are for me it is great i mean i'm on cloud
a thousand up there walking that thing and i get an email hey coach corso's turn 90
fainbo and say anything i do from everything in this ocean brother because the amount of
I thought, we know nothing about
the Bermuda Triangle was right out from where
we were, from where we were.
Don't go. The Bermuda Triangle is right
out there. People are like, hey, you look right out there?
That's where the Bermuda Triangle is. So I look at the Bermuda Triangle.
It's like over a million square miles
or something like that. And then I ask
Grock, I said, GROC, what? Tell me about
Brita Triangle. It's going on.
Grock basically says, it's all bullshit.
Don't worry about it. No, no. That's what
GROC told me. And I'm looking out there,
I'm not. I don't look like bullshit to me.
It looks pretty real out there
Everything I'm seeing
It's crazy when you look at the ocean
Like how small
Yeah
Oh yeah
If the earth's so round
Why can't you see it been there?
What the ocean?
Yeah
I don't know if I have good enough
I don't know
Do you have good enough of us?
Maybe
The ocean's vast is what I'm saying
It's so big
I know
That's why it would be hard
Goes as far as the I can see
That's what they say
They say the you know the earth after what
One mile, one and a half miles
Joining us now ladies
This gentleman, Flat Earther and ESPN Pundit, man who just signed a new deal this offseason,
we can't wait to watch them on our TVs every single moment, and we'll help contribute to that
by adding them on our show.
Ladies and gentlemen, Dan Roloski.
World's round, Dan.
World's round.
Yeah, I've been seeing a lot more stuff.
Like, I don't know, my algorithm.
Yeah.
Of, like, people who truly believe the Earth isn't round.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, and it's not just your algorithm.
I think we give too much credit to algorithms as a whole.
We think algorithms are snowflakes and all individual for everybody.
We're all seeing the same videos.
Yeah, it's a problem.
Right?
We're all seeing the same stuff.
Some of them are bad.
They're just picking and choosing what we all see, I think.
Which is an interesting, that's an interesting place to be.
I can think about that.
Other countries do that too.
Yeah, dude, because we'll all come in here and be like, wow, a lot of murders on
Texas weekend.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like, okay, so I didn't ask for it.
I know.
Does it make you guys think
Like it
It makes me for a second
Be like
Nice
What
You want to go kill somebody
I've done that too
That exact same thing
What does it make you want to think
Dave
Just makes me think like
Maybe
Am I not smart
Simulation
Maybe
Okay Dan
Well God bless you
And obviously
There's a reason for everything
We understand that
But our algorithms
Need to lock it up
I would say
Dan, how much you're doing college ball these days?
I know your big NFL guys commentating right, aren't you?
Oh, yeah.
I'm taking NFL games.
You still do any college stuff?
Because the first AP poll comes out.
And obviously, Texas is the number one.
Clemson rounds out the top four with two big 10 teams sandwich in there.
Georgia, people forget about the dogs down there.
They still do bloody Tuesdays or whatever it is with Kirby Smart.
And I believe Gunner could be a dog.
I think we all believe in them.
Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame are going to be in the top 10 conversation every year.
I think that's just how this is going to go for the Intel,
Markis Freeman's no longer there. Oregon
as well, same conversation. Alabama has more
five stars next year than anybody else in
the country except for Oregon, right? I believe it's
Oregon, yeah, yeah. I think it's Oregon and Alabama
had the most five stars. So it feels like the
Kalin-de-Bore era with Grub
as the offensive coordinator. And I remember, didn't have
them last year. Could just continue Alabama's
success, even though nobody's really expecting
shit from the Crimson Tide
down there. What are your thoughts, Dan, on
how we kind of currently sit? And no
West Virginia in top 25
of either the AP or Greg Mac
kind of confusing yeah maybe they need bigger donors um i yeah still all over college football
i'm still part of it weekly for us um that first weekend is going to be amazing i think about it
like to your point phlemson um i think some of the teams that i find like super interesting or is ls u
one have we heard anything about maybe you guys know more like i saw all over the internet last week
of nussmeyer and he's injured and i thought i saw some reports
I was like, God, I hope that's not true.
Is he healthy?
Is he not?
I think Illinois is a team that, like, can throw everything.
We don't need an answer.
Okay, you didn't want an actual answer.
That's on us.
That was rhetorical question.
We misread it.
You're in a call.
What are we answering questions?
What the hell?
Well, I don't know.
What's the, what is the?
What do you want to know or not?
It sounded like you didn't want to know.
So Twitter was burning.
Everyone was reporting that it was like a torn ACL, blah, blah, blah, and the actual
reporters came out.
Jacob Hester, I believe he was out of practice or whatever former L.
you great said no he's fine everything's fine i believe he just bumped a knee with a defensive
lineman might be like a knee bruise type situation i believe i saw a report that he has a sleeve on it
but he's back at practice so i think okay i think major a major injury avoided in that situation
okay okay so i think they're interesting because i i guess not nussmeyer for me is
the best quarterback in america um you know the sellers is crazy talented and he can play himself
into that conversation. Club Nick, really good year. Can he do it again? I think they're
more talented on the outside of Clemson than they've been in a couple years. But LSU, just,
that game is going to be awesome. I think Illinois is a team that, like, could just throw it all
for a loop, just get the style of football that they play defensively. They're going to be
outstanding. That's kind of become a calling part of them, but just the old school style of
football that they play. Penn State, that's the best Penn State team. James,
Franklin's ever had. Aller's another guy that I think there's a camp that sits there and I'm in
this camp that goes, man, if he gets it together and just continues his development, Penn State
will be in the playoff and he could become the number one pick of the NFL draft. And then there's
a camp of Aller will never put it together. He's always just the big tall athletic dude that, you know,
maybe doesn't become the complete quarterback. So I'm all about College of Archmanning. How good is he?
So that first weekend is going to be awesome.
I've heard some people that I have a lot of respect for
say that they think Arch Manning probably sixth or seventh best quarterback in the SEC.
We'll see.
We'll see how that goes.
I don't think that's the case.
There's the reason he's number one for Hizman-Lons, I think.
And I think we all didn't remember he got concussed last year.
He stood right back up, didn't let him know about it.
Might have a celebrity last name, but he feels he's got blue-collar work ethic out there.
He's an all-broad player.
Yeah, he is all-brought every time.
all time, especially whenever you have that name, people are going to buzz.
Can't wait for college football to get back.
Should be a fantastic start.
Now, let's talk NFL ball.
Feels like you did a lot of research and did a lot of judging.
You know, we had top tens for everything.
Top 10 for mechanics.
Top 10 for ball placement.
Top 10 for arm strength.
Top 10 for great legs.
Top 10 for all this stuff.
You had top tens across the board for ESPN.com.
Massive respect for the amount of work you put in.
Also, appreciate you feeling as if you could be the authority on this entirety thing.
Darius Butler,
has a question for you.
Yeah, Dan, first of all,
beard looks great.
This is one of my favorite lists
I look forward to going into the season.
I want to know,
were there any surprises going into this?
And Jared Gough, I feel like
used to be one of your guys.
Why does it seem like you hate him now?
You get a new shaft yet?
Driver.
What are you?
Hold on.
Can you put some context of that?
In surgery?
Yeah, come on.
College teammates.
You con.
Cheeks, guys.
What's going on?
What happened to your chef?
Okay.
I posted a picture
The shaft
The driver's shaft was a little bit
Told him hey, you know
It is an extra chef one
He told me to get a steel
I'm like by to use a steel
I just want to let you know
I don't know what we were talking about there
I had no idea
I did
A lot of shaft talk huh
Lot of shaft
Golf is great
Should you just answer the question
Golf is great
Not 10 shaft
So
in your top 10 or so here's the here's the here's kind of like the conversation around the top 10 list so
first of all Jared golf champion got it yeah is that what you say no no great season no second year i love jerry
so second year that they've asked me to do this um and it's a bunch of different categories that you guys have
i'm being serious here that you guys have talked about so you know like there a lot of times the top four are
kind of like any mix of Josh, Lamar, Joe, and Patrick.
And then, you know, there's, I'm of the group that still think that there's 10 or 12,
like other just really, really good quarterbacks in the league right now.
And so I put a list of 10 and then it's a conversation of like, hey, you don't have Justin Herbert in there.
I'm like, man, Herbert should be in there.
And then so it's like, okay, well, who could I take out?
And then, man, you don't have Jared golf in that one.
Well, who can I take out?
or, you know, there's no DAC in there.
So it's like there are moments when I try to give love to a guy
that I think is probably worthy of being in that top 10,
but it's like I can't take somebody else out.
And so there is a little bit of like puzzle piece fitting
because, you know, trying to just be respectful of so many different guys.
And it's like, both.
So we're playing politics.
Jeez.
Yeah.
So we put Jared Gough in one of the top tens.
Of course.
Yeah.
And I'll tell you what, Detroit noticed then.
thing wasn't out for more than maybe, I don't know, 30 seconds on each one, five, maybe three
and a half minutes in Detroit was like, oh, here we go again. Dan Arleski.
Dan, I was pissed off. One of the best offenses in the league last year, top five quarterback
in the league last year. I mean, decision making with the football, ball placement. There's so many
things that Jared Gough does great. And you didn't even have him on there. Did Aaron lose his
mechanics? His arm got chopped off, actually. He's got a lot. He's got to throw with his
Oh, he started working with Artie Smith.
Yeah, he plays with Steelers and Artie so he can't be on a list.
Yeah, so his mechanics might be bad.
Yeah, I understand.
Because they say, like, his form actually is like the teach tape.
The mechanics.
Right, you know, sorry, though.
Sorry, I don't know.
We got a lot of games.
You know what you got a lot of games.
We got a lot of good players.
Yeah, it's making a top ten list with so many of the quarterbacks.
It's tough, man.
It's tough.
I didn't even realize it today until, like, the end of first take, they were like,
you don't even have my home.
in top 10 mechanics and I was like
Fudge
I'm not going to talk my way out of that one
Fudge!
Listen, every once in a while you've got a slide a six
and a seven out to get some 12 and
13 and some other one in there
because I'm going to see these people.
I'm going to see the mechanics.
I'll tell you what Aaron did forget how to throw.
So I do
respect that.
What do they call it?
The greatest ball. Yeah, but
he's got some extra weight now.
Yeah, you're right.
Artie Smith. Is that what it is?
Maybe.
Oh, you're talking about being married?
I don't know.
AJ, you tell me, do you think Dan Orlovsky
doesn't think he can throw anymore because he's married?
I don't know, Dan. Is that what you're
hinting at? Dan? You think
it's the wedding ring on the left hand? His mechanics?
What happened to Dan? Not going to be
not focused on ball or what?
Not going to be able to do it? His mechanic?
Just not?
I don't have a good
explanation for not having him on there.
I don't. I don't.
I don't have a good explanation for that one.
I love it.
We love you.
I'm not blaming on the marriage though.
Hey, I want to let you know.
I'm not blaming it on the marriage.
Okay, sounds good.
We're happy we got that cleared.
We appreciate you doing all the work
and just putting yourself out there to do this.
I mean, because all we do is literally what we just did.
Everybody does that as soon as they look at your list.
And you know that.
Your shins are just in every single different room.
Bang to bang to banga.
What does Dan know?
Oh, he put us at one at this one.
Can't even get to that because you put him at three at this one.
They didn't have no shit.
And then Pittsburgh,
Yeah.
Detroit, hate you.
I mean, there's some pretty active shit-talking cities.
Let alone what you said about Jalen last time.
We're not going to get into it.
We're not going to get into it.
But we appreciate you swinging in the back.
What I say about Chairman?
You're on a beach.
They already forgot.
Yeah, yeah, it was a good day.
It was a good day.
It was a good day.
We had a great day.
Speaking of a great day, let's talk about a great night,
especially in Cleveland.
Go ahead, AJ.
Yeah, Dan, I'm actually around a lot of Cleveland Brown fans,
and leading up to their first, you know,
the preseason game on Friday.
much of the fans told me, hey, this is our soup bowl tonight.
Shador is going to get a lot of time.
Like, we want to see what he is able to do.
I know you guys have gone over and over this.
He played very well.
I was very impressed, actually, by his presence, how he had a command of the huddle,
his confidence on the field.
But what do you make of this?
And, like, how different is a defense in, say, the first or second preseason game,
say, to the first or second regular season game?
What kind of different looks will they give you as a quarterback?
Great question.
Yeah.
So, like, you know, going into these games, you guys,
obviously experienced it and then
hear a lot of people talk about
you want to how he handles it
how he operates you know the
the pre-snap communication post-snap
execution does he look like he's
you know seeing everything clearly
and like that is said because
it matters and that was one of
the things that stood out was
just how comfortable he looked
in and out of the huddle there's multiple
times where you know he's sticking his hand
up at the line of scrimmage talking to his receivers
like hey you're good don't worry about
any blitzes, our protections are fine.
So, you know, when I watch that,
it tells me, like,
he's, he's understanding what he's looking at.
That matters, a big deal.
I think the thing that, like,
one of the things that I took away was he was pretty aggressive with the football.
That tells me, like, confidence, you know,
that, again, he's seeing how rotation happens.
Now, he saw a lot of, you know,
backside safety drop-down men coverage.
So that you're not going to see, like,
you'll see that in the league.
obviously a ton.
He didn't see a ton of pressures.
He didn't see a ton of blitzes.
You know, some of the stuff
that some other quarterback saw,
like Seattle was throwing Star Wars stuff at Gino Smith.
So, you know, he didn't see that.
But I do think that you walk away going,
you walk away going, man, the operation was clean.
He looked comfortable.
You saw athleticism.
The decision making was spot on.
He had two or three drops, even in the midst of the stat line.
So, you know, this plays awesome.
me because it shows reaction he remains a pastor he doesn't bail he stays in that really good
pocket of throwing presence and then the throw the ball placement face mask or higher belt buckle
or lower down in the red zone and this one's belt buckle lower to protect that guy so
here's my thing all reports in training camp have been overwhelmingly positive with chador like
hey another good day for chador then he gets in the game he plays really well at some point
the Browns are going to have to sit there and go
we got to get them more reps
against better competition with
more of our higher end talent
I've been in the camp to start one of the rookies
and it's really hard to not walk in there this week
and be like let's get them reps versus the ones
with the ones and see what it looks like
it's time
it is time
put your watch up Dan if you believe
can't put it up
yes
somebody sent him a text somebody sent him a text
somebody sent him a text to pop up right there
Those rings aren't even close to being closed.
Yeah, you got to maybe do some more steps.
They're driving around everywhere.
It may be healthy.
Dan, I like everything you're saying there.
And we had an old bra team.
I don't know if you saw that.
Because it's bruh.
Great work out there.
But also, bruh, it's pretty easy.
It's better than playing ass.
I can't say that enough.
These guys have played good.
And people just want to mock and ridicule them for its play.
It's like, what are they supposed to do?
Play like shit and then what?
You know?
So I think we should celebrate it.
But we do got to keep it in perspective that, brough,
Miles Garrett was sitting on his sideline.
Miles Garrett and Shador actually had a conversation after Shador's time.
Great interaction.
Miles and he seemed to get along well, which is good play by Shadur to win over Miles.
And also, Miles, probably the same way.
And Shador asked Miles if he thought his little spin shit could work on him
that he was doing against the guys that were out there.
And Miles was like, come on, man, come on, come on, come on.
Like basically, like, relax.
And then I think they both said that was some shitty D.N. play out there.
It was like, yeah.
It's preseason football.
But once again, not Shador's fault.
This is the only opportunity he's getting to play out there.
Interesting situation for the Cleveland Bounce.
Maybe they're good.
Now, let's stay in the state of Ohio, shall we?
Let's go.
Yeah, yeah.
Lash our wagon.
By the way, it's kind of like a punch.
Yeah, you know, you can do like a big uppercut.
Oh, wow.
Like soccer.
Yeah, it is like a soccer thing.
Now, I wear watch on left hand because I am ready.
Yeah, same.
But he puts right hand up, I think his, if you looked at the,
we can't do left hand out.
Yeah, right.
Because, you put watch on right here, don't you?
No, I'm ready.
But I don't follow their rules.
Okay.
I like that.
Good for you.
There's no rules.
There's no rules on watches.
Yeah, I want to look.
You know what's more natural?
Fucking right there.
That is what I'm.
And also now, bang.
Yeah.
And also now really just.
What time?
Yeah, I don't even know if this one has the right time on it.
You're going to have to certainly look at that, figure that out.
Because I haven't told I can't reset it.
That sounds like a waste of money.
No, it's just.
It's a fucking math equation.
I got to do the thing, the thing, that the...
It's a little time-sum you could do it.
Oh, maybe I put on my right here.
I thought they said it once, then you're not allowed to touch it.
Well, I just don't TikTok, it keeps going.
But the thing about it is whenever there's like, you know,
it falls back an hour or it goes forward an hour, this fucker doesn't know.
We need to get rid of that.
It's got no heads up.
I thought we were getting.
Yeah, we do.
Yeah, which one do we get, you want to get rid of it, Dan?
Yeah.
What's daylight savings time thing?
Yeah.
Get rid of the, get rid of the one that we do in the fall.
just stay where we're at right now
you don't want to fall back yeah
we like springing forward I agree I think you
spring forward and then it's over
which is where we would be right now
I just want to help farmers
farmers aren't going to be happy about that
no big deal though I don't think that
actually right
haven't the farmers come out
oh you guys don't care about the farmers
I thought there's been some farmers that have come out
and said like
I don't think they they operate on their own time
I don't think it matters
get it done no matter of
because they'll take tractors
another ride, another ride, another ride.
No matter what time it is on Dan Orlovsky's Apple Watch.
That's right, exactly.
You know, they will certainly go and do that.
They always remember one.
What's that?
Good to A.J. Hogglight.
Oh, the headlamp.
The slunking?
Like the guys who are fishing outside my house had?
Yep.
11.30.
I thought they had spotlights.
Spallet in my house.
Yeah, taped to their head.
Yeah, they weren't even, they had those things up there.
How you doing?
You're waking the babe.
Yeah.
You're a spotlight in my house right now.
It looks like I'm getting swatted.
You know, that's what it feels like.
So I just try to catch some bass.
Yeah, I get it.
I've seen too many movies with the flashlights coming in through windows to know what's going on.
Just get back to quarterback conversation with Dan Rolowski, which is the specialty.
The guy is the expert.
The guy is the expert.
Top 10 and everything.
Yeah, it's the best.
If you want to know what a quarterback, he's got him in the top 10.
Top third of the league.
Now, Jared Gough can't crack in.
Jesus.
Aaron Rogers can't crack in.
Anthony Richardson, Danny Dimes, can't crack in, which I don't love.
But there's some other quarterbacks that aren't on there as well.
Go ahead, Ty.
Dan, let's stick in the same draft class as Shadour.
Why do you think that there has been next to no fanfare for Cam Ward still?
That was kind of the talk of the draft.
Like, hey, no one's talking about this guy.
He's unbelievable.
And I guess I really haven't seen much of him from neither training camp or from his game this week.
What are you hearing and what are you seeing from Cam Ward thus far?
Yeah, I don't know why.
I mean, I think there is a little bit of, you know, there was so much attention.
on Chador in the draft process and it was kind of like the foregone conclusion of
him going one. I would tell you just watching the game the other night, I think that he settled
in. Early on, you could just see sped up, you know, but he settled in in that second quarter
and had some really good connections to Calvin Ridley. This is a great throw on the crossing
route. I think the things that I liked watching week one preseason wise seem like he had good
eyes. You know, he confirms that shallow cross is getting carried by that or with that corner versus
man coverage. That's a beautiful crossing throw. There's a ball over the middle of the field.
This one that comes twitchy, drop-down coverage. He sees the vacancy in the zone.
Ball comes out now. Those were some of his traits coming out of college that you liked.
I think that the thing that I did see that's probably happened like three or four times in the game
that you walk away with tape is we got to get him to like play a little slower and have a
little bit more structure within his feet. I think that he's one of those
quarterbacks that, you know, has the ability to make a lot of different throws when his feet
aren't set. His body could be in unique positions because the arm is so talented, but he relied
on that too much. You know, there's a ball he almost throws for an interception that almost
gets picked off and it's like his mechanics, his feet are all over the place and he's parallel
to the line of scrimmage. So that's why these snaps are meaningful for these guys. So I think
that you walk away encouraged by some of the things that he did post snap while also sitting there
and just harping on hey let's let's mechanically get more consistent we don't have to fall back on
throws we don't even like this out route it's completed but it's not a perfect throw and if you
look at his the throw his feet are like slipping all over the place so I just think like the more
reps he'll get to be more comfortable uh it's going to be better like we'll get his feet here like
he's falling away from that.
You can see his upper body.
He could be, like, moving away out.
I want that ball to be just pulling that guy to the sideline.
I think he's a baller.
Like, that's right. I think he is a gamer.
I think he's a baller. I think he's a dog.
But I think with that, there comes a lot of things.
Like, attention and detail on the footwork for a lot of time for Cam probably hasn't been a must for him.
Let's do other things.
And also, I see that elbow moving a lot.
It feels like that is a little bit of, I assume all this will develop as he continues in a league.
are most quarterbacks from year one to year four i know the josh allen story is a very real one cam's
only going to get better right all the things because his moxie he walks into the university of
miami everybody there says this is the guy he walks into nashville down there music city and you're
ridley like he walks in the room and it's just like we got a guy yeah you know everything else he
can work on right that's how we feel oh totally yeah i mean that the the character is off the
charts. The person and the mindset is off the charts. And there's also a ton of physical
talent there. So, you know, you need to remember this guy, you know, let's, I don't know exactly
what, you know, the offensive style that he played in at Carnet Ward, but incarnate word, but at
Washington State, it was Chuck and Duck, man. So, like, those offenses aren't necessarily
teaching a ton about footwork and whatnot. And so then he goes to Miami and it's a little bit of
the same stuff. And so go back to when Caleb was coming out of school.
two years ago, there's a little bit of that there, you know, where it's like there,
he probably hasn't had to be hyper-focused on footwork and, you know, hitches and the balance
of it all. And so that, that's going to come because everyone raves about this young man's
footwork. Like, even that ball, that ball should be out a hitch and a half to two inches sooner.
You know, Calvin's running across or over the middle of the field. The protection's flawless.
So get it, but that'll problem. You just, that's all going to come with reps.
Yeah, and people are going to hear what we're saying in saying his, you know, his footwork and this is going to have to get better.
And they're thinking to themselves, well, he's added a lot of success already.
He's number one overall pick.
It's like every position, once you get to the NFL, it's all about the details.
It's all about the tiny little thing.
Like, for me, punning, it was in my drop, like learning how to drop.
I just stand at my bed at night and just drop this thing like a thousand times so that it would drop flat.
It's like all the little tiny things they can continue to improve on.
And everything said about Cam Ward is that he will.
and I don't love that for the
AFC South.
Okay, I want to let that be
We know Houston's got what they got.
Yep, sir.
Jacksonville's got a kicker that's hitting 70-yard field
Go snap, hold kick, live.
Absurd.
Brah, that's pretty easy.
Brow, that is so far.
That is so far.
Legit.
Everybody makes sense to me.
So far.
That is unbelievable that.
Like, I saw that, and I'm like,
my tweet was, this is legendary,
just strictly because it is.
Like, everybody dreams of an opportunity
to get a 70-yard, like, a kick.
but to make it like I had a 66 yarder I think in preseason pulled it left so bum never going to get that shot again but I'd make that kick I feel very good about my life forever Cam little hits a 70 yard field goal who cares if it's preseason or not I don't like the vibes down here yeah no extra steps too like Tucker 66 against the lions in the game technically so maybe that was the difference he had that extra step little was just two steps in a swing what a kick and he's not a gigantic human yeah I don't know how he does he
I said it. I honestly have, and I think he was perfect on extra points whenever he was at Arkansas.
Because normally, if you have a big leg, every once in a while and get a little bit out of control,
seems to be, I don't want to say, undersized, but he doesn't look like he is a gigantic Cuban.
Anyways, around the AFC South, everybody's really doing it.
Here in India, I don't know if you've heard, Dan, we've got a good competition going.
Boys are battling. What are your thoughts?
I was disappointed that Anthony had that play.
What play?
Who's fault was it?
Yeah, what should have?
This is on the quarterback.
Crick and right tackle right there.
No, I read, I read from Connor and I read from a lot of people on the internet that this was not on this entire.
This, can I speak from outsider who doesn't have the highest football IQ on earth?
But been very lucky to be in a lot of rooms where it happened.
You know, so I think by osmosis, I've picked it up.
This is something that if you were to play a lot of football, you would know, hey, this is the guy.
and then this is potentially 30, 40-yard gain
as opposed to dislocated
pinky. That's certainly close.
He's still on you. Yes.
But that thing, he's still taking a hit, probably falling down
if I had to guess. Yes. But that is going to the
running back and going, right? And that's just something that, like, just naturally
comes whenever that type of shit starts taking place. Am I reading it
accurately? Yeah, so let's nerd out
a little bit here. So, let's do it. This is,
it's second in pen, okay? This is a relatively basic
past protection concept. It's only
five people blocking. So the running,
back has no responsibility the guard the the the left tackle left guard in the center are
responsible for the left defensive tackle the left defensive end the mike linebacker so the guy
that is standing on in between the hashes not him boom him they're responsible for him and then
the nickel defender okay the nickel go to the yep so there's four guys there right you have the nickel
the defensive end the defensive tackle and the mike linebacker the center left guard and left tackle
are responsible for three of those four, whatever three.
It doesn't matter what of the three.
If any three of that four come, they're protected.
If four on that side, that's on the quarterback, okay?
And that's why when Anthony catches it, if you guys play it, Anthony catches it,
Anthony just stares left because he's thinking the nickel might be a pressure guy
because look it over your right shoulder pat, that safety's right there.
That's called being capped off.
So a lot of times when that nickel is pressed and the safety,
Right on the logo is over the top, you're like, okay, that nickel can be a pressure guy.
So I can understand Anthony looking at that nickel guy and saying, if he pressures, that could be a problem.
The problem starts backside, rewind it.
Okay, so now right guard, right tackle.
They're responsible for right defensive end, right defensive tackle, and that backside linebacker.
Any two of those three, any two.
So if any two come, we're protected.
If all three pressure, that's a problem.
Now, what happens is you teach your offensive tackle.
If that linebacker triggers, he's closer to the quarterback than the defensive end.
MDM, most dangerous man, he's probably said.
Yeah, which is normally the inside guy.
Yeah, close the easiest path for the QB.
Yes, got it.
Yes.
Yes, most dangerous guy, that's called a squeeze.
So like that tackle is doing the right thing
And quarterback has to know
Then defensive end is unblocked
So the simple part of that is yes
That's on the quarterback
I do think it's just hard
The quarterback has to see both sides here right
So the coaching point is really
Anthony I don't want you to look left
And I don't want you to look right
I need you to see down the field
And feel the color on either side
Feel that so while I understand
and Anthony's telling me, I know my left is a problem. He's also telling me, I don't think my right
is. And that's where, like, as a coach, you would have to sit there and go, I got to trust you
to be able to handle this. And my, my comparison has been this. Yeah, yeah. And just, and know what
your, every snap, there's a problem. Every snap, there is a problem. And you have to know the answer to
that problem. Every single snap. And my top has been this, guys, AFC championship game last year,
the last play of the game
when Josh Allen's running for his life
and ball flutters in the air and whatnot
that's a Star Wars problem
like that if you get that you're Drew Brees
you're like that's all world stuff
this one
if you're going to start in the NFL and it's second and 10
you got to be able to know what that problem is
and what the answer is
okay well hopefully this will be a learning lesson
I appreciate that he bounced up
okay he wasn't out he's been practicing
he had a dislocated pinky he was ugly they fixed it
He moves on.
Hopefully this is something he can continue to learn from.
You've said it twice now, Star Wars stuff, Star Wars stuff.
You said Seattle sent Star Wars stuff at Gino Smith.
Was that the sign pregame?
Was that the sign?
Is that Star Wars stuff?
You're saying like, man, this is Star Wars stuff?
Go fourth yourself.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, may the fourth not be with anybody here.
You know, like that type of stuff?
Is that what you were saying there?
Or you're saying this?
No, I didn't see the sign.
I saw that Gino like, he gave somebody double birds.
Yeah, and Pete Carroll actually had his back.
Crosby followed suit as well, which I respect and appreciate.
Gino gave a lot of good years in Seattle.
Bigger bust, Gino Smith or Jamarcus Russell.
That's what the sign said.
It was mean.
And then Pete Carroll, Gino, Jamarcus, Russell.
And then Pete Carroll goes to grab it.
Oh, shit.
Yeah, Pete Carroll was...
That guy's always there.
That guy's always there at Seahawks game.
Sign man, sign man.
Yeah, that's his thing.
And then Pete Carroll was asked about that for game.
He said, did you read the sign?
Okay, I had nothing else to say, but he said,
this is him right here.
He was seen at the Seahawks game
making an obscene jester, like, and a fan
with a sign.
Did you see what the sign said?
Yeah, I saw it. Next point.
Love that.
How about the journalist, though?
Obscene gesture.
Upseen, the kids watch.
Coming out here.
Is that okay? I love her.
But that was not the Star Wars stuff you're talking about?
What are you talking about Star Wars?
You've said it multiple times now?
Exotics or what?
Exotic, yeah.
On me, you guys?
You know, when, yes, when exotic, like, I think Mike Martz was the first person to say Star Wars stuff around me maybe, but, you know, Star Wars, outer space, and you're like, you're seeing all these different moving parts.
Yeah, ghosts.
You're seeing Ghosts.
Out of his world.
Let's talk about one of these Star Wars guys that plays football.
We've learned more about quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Go ahead, AP Ton.
Yeah, Joe B.
He's a bit spacey, and he's also very, very good.
He was in a lot of your top 10 list.
he's playing early in this preseason.
Bengals are notably slow starters week one, week two.
Him and Jamar looked like, I don't know,
like they didn't have an off season.
Do you like the Bengals and Joe playing early?
And do you think it matters because, I mean,
Tanner McKee looked like Tom Brady.
Yeah, McKee looks like a trade potential for somebody at some point.
Yeah, I like the fact that they're playing.
I've actually become a little bit warmer
the guys playing in the preseason in the past.
I don't know if it's because later games.
or, you know, the quality of the conferences seem to be so high, specifically, they've seen.
So I like the fact that they're playing.
I would probably play them a little bit in the second game as well.
And, like, yes, but also, did you see the defense?
I mean, the defense looked just as bad as last year.
Some of the running lanes were just, I counted probably like seven or eight snaps
that the Bengals had multiple defensive linemen in the wrong gap.
So, you know, I do like the fact that they're playing them,
but the defense still remains a massive, massive, massive issue in Cincinnati.
Do we know if Mike Browns have paid you cash $300 million?
You're going to play all the fucking games.
Okay.
Preseason, postseason, offseason, you're playing all the games out there.
Will the Bengals be able to stop anybody?
Who knows?
Will they be on primetime television a lot because it's going to be electrifying?
Absolutely.
Can't wait to watch the Bengals, especially in that environment.
That place is a great home field advantage over there in the jungle.
getting an upgrade, I believe, too, right? Didn't they agree to an upgrade to the jungle over there?
Beautiful thing, beautiful town. Hopefully a great team in the Bengals. We can't wait to watch them.
Shador talks about a lot, but there's another rookie that we think has a lot of marks he use.
Well, go ahead, con man. Yeah, Dan, you know, something you never do is go back and kind of take a
victory lap for your take. So I just want to say, you know, Jackson Dart was one of your guys
and he came out spinning the pill the other day. What did you see out of him? And do you think
that Russell is going to get a lot of time? Do you think it's going to
to be, you know, first sign of any doubts that Jackson Dart might get put in because of
how well he's playing? Or what should our expectations be for the Giants with their quarterback
situation? Yeah, I wouldn't rush for Jackson Dart on the field. I think Russell Wilson's
the starter and hopefully has some success. I think the best thing for the team and for Jackson
Dart is that Brian Dables, his coach for the foreseeable future. And that happens if they're
capable of like winning and being competitive this year. I thought Dart looked really good as
Well, I think the things that you liked were, you know, he made some, I guess, different kinds of throws that weren't demanded of him at LSU, some timing routes on the outside to the perimeter, balls across the middle, the field weren't just necessarily crossers.
I love that.
I thought he was really strong in the pocket.
That's one of his calling cards.
I thought out of all the kids in the class this year, I thought he was best in the pocket, just the strength and the climbing of the pocket while remaining a passer.
you saw the athleticism.
The touchdown pass
the little Jordan Humphrey is actually an audible
at the line of scrimmage.
So again, just verification, recognition, aggression.
I think the two things that stood out to me
as far as like what you want to see him grow at.
And this is why I wouldn't rush him on the field
or part of the reason why.
He has a third down where he throws the ball
to Dulcich, the backside, tight end,
and he misses it.
And everyone might sit there and go,
oh, an accurate throw.
And I look at it is he's just playing too
fast. He's got a corner round at the bottom and it's like third and three I think of his first or
second drive and he's ready to throw the corner route and the receiver's like four or five yards
down the field versus man coverage. And so it's just the repetition and the growth and the
experience of slow yourself down feet wise because your feet tell you when to throw the football
more often than not. Again, a shotgun quarterback and RPO centric quarterback that maybe wasn't
marked on the timing element of the pass game.
So that's going to take time.
And then the second time was when he runs for a one-yard game,
not that big long run,
but he scrambles for a one-yard gain.
It's a play-action pass.
He's got the chance to throw the crosser,
and the underneath defender kind of tries to bait him,
and he decides not to throw it,
and I'm like, good decision.
But then throw it to the running back
and the flat instead of becoming a runner.
And so just, hey, why did you not throw the ball to the back?
You know, so I just think, you know, more experience having that, but I would be as encouraged
as I was with Shador.
I would be equally as encouraged as I would be for Jackson Dart.
And Caleb Williams?
Didn't play.
I was disappointed that he didn't play.
I understand not playing him without the starting offensive line.
I would love somebody to ask Ben Johnson, why did the starting offensive line not play?
And then subsequently Caleb get reps.
I think he needs reps in this offense.
So I'm okay with him not playing without the starting offensive line.
But why is the offensive line playing then?
Well, they paid a bunch of guys.
Don't want to get them hurt early.
And also a lot of vets.
Yeah, yeah, sure.
I mean, again, I would understand that if you tell me.
I would understand that.
Those three guys internally are vets,
but I don't know the answer to the why they didn't play.
You're the man.
Enjoy yourself.
Thank you for talking to us during your travelers.
Thank you for taking it on the shins from the rest of the world
and putting out these lists that we can react to.
You're welcome, boys.
Oh, AJ, you need a haircut, bud.
Whoa.
Jeez.
Oh, AJ, you can take that, dude?
He just pissed on your face.
I will about three to six months, probably, Dano.
Oh, I appreciate you, though.
Oh, he's growing up.
I thought you keep it tighter on the sides.
No, he's grown in out.
I did.
I got to get it's getting a little too far.
I got grow it all out before I do anything else.
We appreciate you, Dano, for your modeling, your haircut analysis.
Dan, if staff are going to be okay?
Sorry, Pat.
Is staff are going to be all right?
Good question.
scared um from everything that i'm aware of yes new news since our conversation has started with you
today he's out there in street close mcvay said maybe he does individual drills today he's not so
they lied to us they lied and has anyone did people or was it a setback you tell us dan oh you're
friends with them text them well everything that i know is going to be fine ladies gentlemen that's
You've seen the headlines.
Heard the debates.
The three-point ball has created a monotonous rhythm to the game.
Has the three-pointer ruined basketball?
And how did we get here?
The rise of a three-point shot can be partially traced to an eccentric Kansas genius
named Martin Manley, whose story didn't turn out quite the way he imagined.
I decided I wanted to have one of the most organized goodbyes in history.

The SPN fantasy football is more than just a game.
It's thousands of stories in the making.
Like that one league that hasn't missed a draft
since the 20th century
or the one that decides their draft order
by competing in a legit athletic combine
or the league where if you come in last
you have to sit in a closet and assemble a 300-piece puzzle.
In the dark.
Yeah, that stuff really actually happened.
The football may be fantasy,

Acts are weird.
I'm genuinely concerned.
We know Stafford is like the toughest dude on the planet too.
Like that dude will play through anything.
We have massive respect for Stafford.
I also have massive respect for people getting fully healthy
before getting thrown back out there.
So I don't want to hit the panic button yet.
But this is abnormal, I think, for Matthew Stapp, personally.
as a viewer of Matthew Stafford.
Draft Class, 2009.
Draft class, still hoarding the down.
Tough, tough.
I've seen someone get an epidural.
They were in a lot of pain.
So if Matthew Stafford is in that much pain,
yeah, that's a tough thing to do.
That's bad.
Giving birth or playing football, I guess.
Jeez, Louise.
He's okay.
A lot of people say giving birth is like playing football.
Nope, I'm not saying that.
You can say that.
I've watched that whole thing.
That is crazy.
Very thankful for it all.
Devante probably thinks he's cursed.
There was something I wanted to say
before we got out of here.
Oh, fuck, what was it?
I forget what it was.
Stetson Bennett's raising hell?
Yeah.
I do like that Stetson Bennett
took a year off.
Yep.
I can't do it.
Comes back to the Rams
balling out in the preseason.
He's a dog, through and through.
Stetson Bennett.
And he does raise some hell down there and out.
He does.
Justin Rose has been to doubt.
Oh.
That's it.
Justin Rosen spawn yesterday?
Thank you, boys.
Thank you, boys.
Now, so,
as I see Scotty Sheffler around the 14th, 15th hole seemingly get out of it, even though he could
have still got it. I thought he might chipped in to tie that thing. Like, anytime Schaeffler's
on there, I'm thinking it's a real deal. Watch because he gets the lead in the second hole.
It's like, all right, we got another Scotty Schaeffler day. Let's do that. Thought Rose, Fleetwood,
everybody was just going to collapse. Thought it was going to happen. So as the day continues
to go, and Fleetwood's still in, I'm like, that baby Tommy. Hey, Tom. Hey, Tom. Hey, what to go,
Paul? I'm proud of him. Rose battling back through that. And then spawned with that L.
making magic golf was great yesterday and whenever spawn and rose go to a
playoff holes in the playoffs obviously it's electrifying they both get a birdie
in the playoffs so it goes par rim jobs both of them uh second hole both of them get a
birdie both of them make huge putts after being able to get on hole then they make new
hole okay put in a new position then uh rose is able to get the win or whatever because
j j spawn seemingly did a completely different putting motion after rose made the putt
because he was closer than him the other way.
Great battle, though.
Full cinema.
Shout out to these boys putting on a show on a Sunday.
That ended like 705.
We're talking about that.
That was a long day of golf,
and they were talking about how hot it was.
And the scoreboard not working because of the heat there,
so them not knowing what's going on on the 17th hole,
added to the drama.
Yesterday was great golf, AJ.
I don't know how much you got to see of it.
Them both making birdie, making putts in a playoff hole,
that's like dream situation for golf there.
And it certainly happened.
Well, I think the whole thing was cool
Because what, there's 70 that entered this field
And the top 50 move on
So seeing like they were updating you at the whole time
Like 51, two, three
Seeing who was on the line
And every single put
Like it affected players
And whether they were going to make it to the next round or not
And how everything works out
So it's a good time I guess to watch golf, I think
Kirk was 51 I think
I think he made a birdie on 18
And it moved him from like 54
To 51
Like so cool
someone else chipped in on 17 earlier in the day to go from 50 to like 46 it was like yeah yeah there's a lot of magic they two scoreboards you know it was like a high low for whenever you're playing poker there's two different hands there was like a high low situation going on uh golf is beautiful uh shout to golf shout to sheffler too i mean he's just a dog still doing it yeah he was four under on sunday or something like that he had the best round on sunday of everybody else he just wasn't able to win it all it's like and he looked svelte yeah the fit he had to white pants with the gray he looked like he looked like he looked like he looked
like very lean and mean like dad shape and so i'm getting a little i like that we're he's human
yeah he's much more than he was and we didn't have his caddies caddy i'd go home for fans i mean
he's he's acting now i mean he was so good and happy gilmore still yeah so it's one of those
he's good in jail too he's not supposed to be there got moxie live had a good finish too oh yeah
i did see some of that was on there coming here bryson de shambo be in the show tomorrow and i'm
very excited he will be guest hosting our two cannot wait for
him lives here in Indianapolis. They were in Chicago
this past weekend. I guess there was a bunch of fans
from everything we saw. Shout to them. Can't wait
to chat with Bryson tomorrow? Be a friend to have,
friend, something nice. It might change your life. We'll see you tomorrow.
Goodbye. We continue digitally.
Feel like I hit all the check-down.
Got it. Didn't sell the platforms
though. With the golf. Oh, that's okay.
Hit the golf. Need to talk about the golf.
Really love the golf yesterday.
It was incredible. And like you said,
it going until like 7 o'clock
and actually being
drama-filled and very entertaining.
for the last four hours, really.
It was incredible.
Those scores are the sweet spot, I think, too.
Like 16, 17.
The course did its job.
Yeah, the course was tough,
but the great golfers still played amazing.
Like, that was...
25, 30, too much.
Too easy.
Even.
Yeah, 5 under 600.
Too hard.
Not cool enough.
16.
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think it's like the proper amount
of big time plays being made.
Yes, big ponds.
Like the puts that were being buried.
Big put.
Some big putz.
Spawn, man.
What a year for Spawn.
That dude's life has changed over the last, what, five, six months.
They talk about that putter being, like, I guess he was ass at putting.
They said he's, like, 100-something in putting,
and then something came about whenever he got this L-A-B putter.
It's not working as well for me yet, but maybe I'm just trying to find my stroke.
I can't get rest?
Can I ask, can we go back to a dance cart?
What happened to your shaft?
We didn't really get to the bottom of that.
Yeah, what's going on?
Joe Hayden's second annual golf classic out there in Cleveland, right outside of Cleveland.
It's where they do there.
Posted a picture of the shaft, the driver's,
shaft, you know, just a picture of me ringing in it, and it was, you know, the picture
looked kind of funky, and he, uh, DM me like, hey, bro, you need a stiffer shaft, pause.
He didn't say, Paul. He didn't say pause. He did not.
He did not. He's just a stiff shaft. I think this is actually a stiff shaft. It just
looks weird in the picture, blah, blah, blah, and then I took the picture of the
shaft. You're up your shaft. Yeah. Love to chat, GPT. What kind of shaft is it?
It tells me, boom, it's actually extra stiff graph. So he's like, oh, you got to stop using the
graphite garbage, but I'm like, damn, I think
everybody uses the graph. They do.
What's my driver? Do we know what my driver is?
You probably also have an extra stick.
I want to let you know.
You should have an extra step.
I'm hitting the ball right now.
Oh, yeah.
Me and Gumpy played in a golf tournament.
Phil Mainz Classic on Saturday back here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
beautiful plum burrow.
I'll tell you what, the course was hard, literally and figuratively.
Sure.
Well, baked out.
Couldn't get a tea into the tea box.
That's good.
Had it had rain and forever.
They're in the middle of a drop.
It's really.
You're going bubble with that thing?
Was that?
Driver off the deck?
No, no.
That's Bonioric cabinets, by the way.
These particular pison is great with wood.
Put this out just to give love to the bonnures.
Sure.
Because Billy Bonior,
also as Billy Bones, showed up in a full costume.
Always does.
B.C., Boniora cabinets,
logo, polo, tucked in,
a fedora,
all blue, everything matched.
Gorgeous.
I mean,
legend.
Absolutely outrageous looking.
But these particular pizons,
go wood
these guys go wood
so I just want to do love
I just want to show a little love
because they sponsored one of the holes
shout out to everybody that was there
shout to Dachronics also
build a couple scoreboards
for Plumboro High School
or Plum Senior High School
which got a new sign up front digs
I don't know if you've seen it
and I don't know if they ran out
spray paint and plum but I'm happy
that this thing has not been ruined
I want to let you know the main one
it's really nice
what's it say
whatever the case
I didn't expect JJ Watt to bury
the fucking
do they happen to do grass by you
I saw that tweet three hours later
I opened my phone back up
because there wasn't a lot of service obviously
we're in the middle of the hills out there
so when you're at high altitude
your phone's working
but at that altitude
you're looking at the views
you're having a good time
you're talking to people
you haven't seen 15, 20 years
do you want to pull your phone out
at that moment and really live
so I skipped a couple high altitude moments
pull my phone out later I'm like
oh no JJ Watt
just killing the grass
he doesn't even know that Billy Bonaure
when he met him out in Arizona
walks right up to him
and goes, hey, what's up, JJ?
Big fan of TJ.
So he didn't even know
that that was who that person was.
And I want to let the Larmans know.
There he is.
That's what I.
G. 3.30, he looks tall as that one.
5 under.
He's the dancer, right?
From the party bus?
Yes.
Yes, he is the dancer.
He is in the back there.
It looks like A-Rod a little bit.
It does.
In the back there, Gio Ramia,
former starting quarterback for a Palm Ceree in high school
Mustangs. Also, Joe Hadley, got on the left there, Joe Hadley, all-time leader's Sacketer
for a Paul Mustang. There's a lot of time there. That's all Italian, yeah. Those are
Italians right. It was Italian Fest. We were in the middle of it. Actually, had a couple of
jelly. What are the shots of you, Pison? Guy pulled out Gabagool out of his cooler
out of the golf cart. I'm walking. A, Nick's dad, who was very gracious, let us sleep in his
basement on like the good old days on Friday night. It was great to be back in that basement.
great to be back there. It was awesome.
Gump sat the couch. I had
Nick's little brother's old room.
It was Arctic Cold Downer.
Oh, that's the best. So Italian and everything.
Was pull open? Frank was open. Left open
for us to arrive. Frank even say you want to jump in?
Go ahead. Like, good old days. Go ahead and do it.
It was awesome. Everything shut down, by the way.
Everything shut down.
COVID, I think, made everybody go to bed.
That side of town stinks.
I disagree. Mohans, we would have stopped.
I must piss my pants. Mo Hans was closed at 1130 midnight.
I was very surprised.
He said, well, close the 10, everybody closed the 10.
$2.86 is thriving.
COVID sent everybody to bed.
We drove through that.
That's a ton of.
It's all new.
Brand new sheets, okay?
Yeah, I was dying there, brandy McDonald's.
Burger King's dead.
Rudy Sub's still doing it.
We'd like to let it.
Rudy Sub's still bringing it.
Still bringing it.
Burger King dying is a bad sign.
No, McDonald's thriving, though.
I think Plum just picked its allegiance.
Sure.
And said, we're not doing it.
We're on McDonnell's town.
Yeah, and there was Hadley, obviously,
inside Rudy Sub's doing his thing.
But Nick's dad was playing in this tournament.
I'm not going to say a classic Italian.
By him, Richiey, who do a lot of work in Plum,
brought a 15-year-old ringer into this thing.
15-year-old boy.
Genius.
So we run into the Pisons,
and Frank, Nick Staggers,
you want to do a shot?
Come on.
Absolutely.
We go do this little Italian shot.
Guy he's with Rich Shui, he fucking pulls out a cooler.
He's got Gabal.
He's got a little pepperon.
Are you pronouncing this guy's name?
He's got, R-U-R-Sude.
There it is.
R-I-C-U-T-I-T-I, I believe.
Yeah, he's.
He's a good concrete guy.
He's a good contract.
This guy's got a lot of jobs.
Build houses, yeah.
They don't paint houses.
We don't know, actually.
But we do know they build a lot of houses.
A lot of them in there.
Concrete guy.
Yeah, so is Nick's dad.
I mean, they weren't together.
They're very tight.
Morolla is in Richie's basically at this point.
Rich Schuzee running there.
And Frank's coming in laying down a concrete.
Whatever the case.
Fucking cooler out.
Yeah, I'm like, all right, this got to be where the shots are.
Uh-uh.
Ice cold pursuit.
Gobogool.
How you don't?
Whole plate.
Whole plate of gobble.
Moussadale? Yeah. Fresh. Italian on the logo.
We're speaking. It was not English language on there.
And I'm just sitting, Rolling Fields parking lot.
Just taking a little, a little bit of this on there, a little bit of that.
Thanks, boys. A little bit of a shot over here.
Grazie prego, do the whole thing.
They were 15 under. They want to win the tournament. Did they win the thing?
I'm not sure. I...
It sounded like everybody won. Check the website.
We did not win. I will say, we didn't finish, actually. We played six.
16 out of the 18 holes.
Shotgun starts starting on hole four is tough.
Cause...
Oh man, ways away from the clubhouse when you're done.
Well, not only that.
Four to nine, because nine to turn, everybody's having a good time.
Sure.
We were acting as if we did play nine full holes there.
It's hard to miss out on that good time with the third.
You want to take advantage of that.
And we did.
We're only five holes in, though.
We weren't actually nine holes in.
So that kind of offset us a little bit.
You know, and then we're going down around the back nine.
We get the hole 17.
It's like, oh, we're at a hole six.
17, oh, we're nowhere near done. We still got this hole 18, 1, 2, and 3.
So I think it was set up for a way for us not to finish, they kind of knew what it was going to be.
We could have albatrossed the last four holes.
Sure.
So we'll never really know what our score was.
But, yeah, we had a good time out there. Shout to the Maine's family.
Great to see everybody. Shout to Rolling Fields. The Larman family, our friend owns it now, runs it.
Needs it. Need some water. We need a little bit of grass.
They need to be doing some rain dancing out there.
they need any nature to cooperate with rolling fields what a time gumpy a lot of boozing out there
felt like it felt like everybody was very intoxicated love that yeah the tequila to get it started
about noon wasn't uh wasn't ideal but that kind of sends us on our way it was it was a reunion for
like our whole high school basically but it was all the people that we knew so it was like perfect
yeah it was like it was a great setup to be honest it was great to see everybody raised
money for a kid named blake uh who had a heart couple of
heart things. He was awesome. It was cool. It was a really good time back there. The
Phil Mainz Classic delivered, and he started at a Gabba, cool.
Amen. I will say to Gabba. I heard it's a great time. My brother, Mikey Dogs,
represented for the DeGillio family. I saw him early. Yeah. I saw him early. He was one of the
first people I saw when we pulled up. It's great to see him. Gino Rameito showed up with a crocodile
belt yellow shorts, purple. That was four of the first people. That's incredible. Yellow shorts,
purple shoes
I think you just had
I don't know if he
okay I don't know if the shoes
accessorized the shirt that was purple
yellow shorts crocodile belt
Hadley was actually wearing bowling shoes
Hadley and Gumpy
were getting after it
Gumpy doesn't play
but he's there
and Gumpy starts talking shit to the people
that are actually playing
but Gumpie said no bad shots
Gumpby said no bad shots
nothing people who are golf and love
more than a guy who's not playing
chirping them all day when they're not playing well
especially if you do have a hint
Vangue.
Yeah, he absolutely does.
Which golf happens, yeah.
Yeah, he were playing golf.
Hadley was a good golfer.
He was a lot better than I, every time I play with him, I remember, oh,
he was a deck hockey, like, that is.
He's got the rotation.
He's got hand.
And how he's cleaning windows, too.
He was telling me how he squeegees with no flubs.
Like, he's got great hand.
He's cleaning a lot, too many windows.
No flubs cleaning those.
Call him if you need it, right?
Doesn't he love when you pub him up, give him some pub?
He's got too many windows, especially with the heat wave that hit Pittsburgh.
give him a call i'm gonna die out there i'm gonna die out there i got too many windows they all need to
be cleaned it just it never ends everybody has them hadley's window washing call him up he needs business
and he's best in the biz next to miss nick's dad put his phone his phone number on the
fucking sign at the whole yeah we took a picture with it the number's just right there i was
posted it immediately like all right we don't need the house number getting blown up here what a time
i said the same thing though he's always bitching he's too busy i'm like well then what you
putting your phone number on the sign that
everyone's going to take a picture of? Yeah, why didn't you just put a bunch
of these up and everybody will know who the fuck it was?
They should have just had the table of Gabagool
right there on that hole. I don't think they
want to give it to everybody. I don't think you want to get...
I'll tell you. The pooling of the cooler out
by the Italians, they knew
that my mind was about to be blown. And by
that point, I'm a little bit intoxicated
already. And they're like, sit down.
I was going to say, probably ready for a belly full.
What did you have lemon cello? Because that...
Yes. Yeah. They were orange.
As you said, Frankie's birthday party, he's orange gel.
There was a jello, jello shots at some point as well.
I remember a couple of those.
Well, that guy's name was Colt, I believe.
He was a ringer.
This guy was a golfer, actual golfer.
Chris signed him up to his team.
We did a little three extra whole thing.
This guy was unbelievable.
He was getting us a bunch of booze.
It was a lot of seeing everybody, man.
It was a lot of people.
Our entire high school was there, basically.
Good weather, too.
It was hot.
Yeah, it's been hot.
It's been very hot.
It's hot as hell.
Is it hot down South Florida, too?
Yes.
Like hotter than normal?
Yeah, so my daughter's actually in, like, golf camp down there.
They had two instructors just this stretch that have had, like, heat exhaustion.
So it's hot for you guys down there, too.
I think the water is like 97 degrees or something like that?
Much warmer.
That went in the ocean down there.
It was very hot.
Northeast is still nice.
It was like 65.
Oh, seven.
Wow.
Way too quick.
People are looking for that right now.
Legit.
Yeah, it was so nice because I was coming from Indy.
But it was 65 at night in the morning and then 75 during the day.
AJ, you watching these training camps wishing you were out there?
I can't say I'm wishing I was out there, but, yeah, I don't know.
I'm not.
But I like watching.
I do enjoy watching them.
I do enjoy the clips that are coming out of it.
But, boy, what we as fans now, we're missing a lot of it.
You know, there's a lot going on other than just this one play that's happening here.
The amount of, like, recovery and prehab, let alone just checking into breakfast 7-8.
You got to check in the breakfast between 7 and 8 a.m.
It's like, well, I don't have anything until 10.
Check in the breakfast between 7.80.
All right, I'll fucking go show a face second.
I'm not going to eat anything.
I'm probably going to go back.
You got to show your face to 7.8.
You forget about, like, every...
Drug test.
We always talk about the whole building and how everybody's...
Like, I was just reminded with that Rich Rod,
with the guy who's, you know, playing a ref,
spot it, get out of the way.
Like, everybody, like, those dudes,
there's so much shit on their place.
So, they got laundry.
they got to do this you got a car it's the line the field you got to set up drills you got like
you got a four a day you miss one thing and you're fucking it up for everybody everybody it's crazy
being being removed from it you just forget all the other shit that goes into it so many pieces
yeah to the puzzle legit those equipment managers any athletic the athletic trainers are up at
three and they're going to bed at midnight that's just kind of what the athletic trainers are doing
right now people are saying these water boys make a hundred dollars in a year it's like they
fucking deserved
they were working a hundred and fifty hour
week they were they're really going
it's like I didn't even think about that just
forgetting how hot it is too
like when we were in Laetrobe I was like
I can't imagine
fucking playing practicing football
and full pads and then you look
over and some guys are wearing sweatshirts
and sweatpants under it's like
this guy's gonna fucking die today
it's insane how hot it's been
yeah it's uh do you watch
hard knocks at all
I always saw clips
I haven't got to sit and watch the whole thing
Josh Allen had hoodie on
Yeah underneath that was very
He's awesome man
He's awesome
I'll tell you
I he's
I mean
He's the guy
Cool customer
Legit
Like almost
I didn't expect it to be
As much as it is
Because he's the biggest shit talker too
Right
And like he's got like a real Phil Rivers feel
Here
Because like whenever
When he's leading
And talking to the boys
Behind the scenes
And you know
Whenever he's doing all that
In the meetings and practices
He's like
this guy is like first-class citizen
you know like I don't want to say that
shit talkers aren't first-class citizens but you get it
like everything he's saying is perfect
for the exact moment that he's in
and then they talk about him getting on the field flipping a switch
this guy's the biggest shit-talker out there it's like
I kind of like that I like to be able
to put the cape on and then go back
out and just kind of do your thing
are they going to win it all
the Buffalo Bill's going to win it all
this year or like ever
I don't know
It feels like it's just because of how we speak of the Chiefs
and like when I think of the Chiefs, I think of the New England Patriots
and I know that any time the Patriots and Brady lost a big game
that next year they were going to be in that big game again
and they were going to win it.
Yeah, so you're thinking what happened in the Super Bowl was a nice little reminder.
Just typically usually those guys like you're trying about taking the cape off
with Josh Allen.
I don't know if Mahomes takes the cape off ever.
I think he almost damn near just keeps it on year round
and now they're going to do it again.
I'm not saying Josh Allen doesn't work on the outside,
but it does feel like him off the field from this hard knocks is like president,
like goddamn president, like the way.
That's how it seems when he's signing autographs and stuff at Trading Camp,
all those clips that come out.
Unbelievable.
It's amazing.
He says the right thing in every situation.
Like I'm listening to him talk about what training camp is and talking about getting away
and seeing everybody.
It's like, oh, he's giving like the best answer for everything.
And then he's walking past a bunch of kids that want his autograph.
It's like signing after practice.
Okay, like one person talking to a thousand people, one person, I'll sign you after practice,
and then they show him signing after practice to the person.
It's like recognizing people that he has signed for in training camps past.
Yeah, it's like this dude is a fucking machine.
Like he's seemingly the perfect human almost at this entire.
And then they're like, well, he's the biggest shit talker in the game.
I'm like, I love that.
I love everything about that.
Can they win at all?
That's the, I mean, they can.
They have to, right?
That's the only expectation.
They got the fucking MVP.
It's going to be the same question with him and Lamar.
Every year. Can they get it? Joe Brown. Joe. Yeah, Joe, it just went and lost. But, you know, they are so, Dan just mentioned when he's putting the list together. It's like those four on the top of every list. But it's like, can you get it done? Can you get over the hump? And until you knock off, you know, Michael Jordan back to back, which is Patrick Mahomes right now. It's going to be tough.
71 pound. He was in second place. I don't know if you saw. Catch 23. Big white marler.
Yeah, he was in a fishing contest.
He was finished. I don't know if he finished at the time. At the time, he was in second. Because he only has 71 pound.
Yeah, but that's what sucks for a lot of these teams.
We were talking about the Broncos before the season, or before the show today.
It was like the Broncos could, I mean, they have 50 million.
They could be really good.
Very good.
It could be really good, but they're in the Chiefs Division.
So, like, how do you even gauge all those teams, the charges too, yeah.
Yeah, defense is unbelievable.
We assume Bo Nix is only going to get better, right?
We assume Bo Nix only going to get better with Sean Peyton.
Sean Peyton loves them.
You can tell Sean Payton's obsessed with them.
Like, yeah, I think the Broncos are in for a nice little run.
Now, think about the Broncos, though, what they had to do, the decisions they had to make.
Obviously, the Walton's have a lot of money from the Walmart money and everything like that.
They own a lot of teams.
You get it, yada, yada, yada.
But hiring Sean Payton and then just being like, you're allowed to do whatever you want.
I want to get rid of the starting quarterback and have the biggest salary cap deficit in the history of the league.
Do whatever you want.
Done. Do whatever you want.
If it ends up working, I'm intrigued to see what teams in the future start like being like, hey, we're just going to believe in what you do.
Does it start building patience with teams?
does it start helping other teams do people start moving on from bad contracts quicker and just take the hits
if they're able to have the success going forward it's like i think they will i believe in sean peyton i believe
i believe in bow nicks too and i definitely believe in their defense their defense yeah outrageous right
oh yeah yeah and they'll be able to pay all the coaches so it's like they'll be able to continuity-wise
i think be able to keep everybody around over there it's like the broncos are in a great spot but they're in the
afcc well and i know like the end goal obviously like no one's just trying to make the playoffs you want to win
Super Bowl, but I think you would already say, like, his tenure has been a success.
Like, I don't think anyone expected them to be as good as they were last year.
They went to the playoffs with a rookie QB, their first year, and then now, yeah, it's like
the expectation is Bo Nix is only going to get better.
And when you have a defense like that, like, you know, that's the type of stuff that travels
in the playout, like, they could be anybody in the playoffs.
Congratulations to the Denver Broncos fan base.
They were going through it there.
Yeah.
Brock Osweiler got like $80 million.
Yeah.
Do you remember?
Oh, yeah.
Trevor Simeon, right after him.
I don't want to go through the whole thing.
Brock, handsome, gentleman, great football player, very tall, everything like that, does great on TV.
But it's like, there's been numerous times now where they thought they had it a couple times.
And then do they got it?
I was like, oh, shit.
Got it.
Yeah, how about when Russ was there?
Like, they're six and five, right?
This is how the story goes.
They're six and five.
Russ goes into the office, and Sean Payton's basically just like, hey, we're going to need you to take a pay cut.
Oh, yeah.
Now.
Oh, yeah.
After a win.
Immediately after a win.
Like, they went through the bad Russ.
Sean Payton damn near turned the Russell Wilson experience around
because they started like one and four.
And then they turned it around and they won all those games in a row.
And still, Sean Peyton was like, yeah, he's still,
he's not our guy still.
We need to move on.
It's crazy.
There's so much into it.
Business, somatical.
So close.
Athleticists.
Yeah, what should you say?
Three weeks from Thursday.
That's insane.
We can make it.
Yeah.
Which means college football starts.
two weeks yeah yep let's go
just fucking injuries
yeah that's every time something
that sounds like that rshawn slater one is crazy and also
micah tray everybody yeah
is seeing that because that's what two weeks after he signs is
or one week after he signs his deal 10 days
it's like that his agent immediately hey remember
we're good we're set up we got these clauses in here
no voids because of this your injury guarantees actually this
this, it's like the agent is calling and saying good work on getting a deal done, but
Sean Slater saying, damn, this can be a long recovery. And that's also another thing we don't
talk about. Like Stafford, he's in street clothes today. Hopefully he's back. He's getting epidural.
That's not fun. None of this is, none of this is fun. Dislocated pinky, not fun.
Yeah. There is the negative side of it all. And maybe it's a firework too for some people,
but nonetheless, the recovery on the other side is an ass beating in of itself.
Good luck to all the boys on their recovery.
Yeah, especially.
I mean, like, Lynn Dickerson yesterday,
I don't know, we don't know exactly what the injury is correct yet,
but like you lose him and then you lose Mackay Beckton.
That's two guys off of the O line,
which was basically the most important part of your team all last year.
Dr. David Chowell said that everybody taking a knee.
It's not good, yeah.
Yeah, he said the knee taking is interesting,
but it might be hot training camp.
Everybody kind of taught here.
I like that he wrote, I like that he's riding shotgun.
Honestly, that makes me have a little bit of hope that he's maybe, I don't know.
Yeah, the only thing that makes me think is carting for offense alignment is a massive decision in of itself.
Especially that offensive line, I would assume.
Like, even getting on a cart is like a big decision for an offense alignment.
But maybe they're like, hey, we need to go.
You need to not put any more weight on this.
And hopefully they'll get good news out of the MRI.
Because to your point, that offensive line was, they were the show.
They were the show.
Is that offensive line.
Now, Sequin obviously is the lead character of that entire show.
But that offensive line, what was it?
800 and some yards before contact?
I think it was even higher at the end
of the season. He said he would have been like the
third leading rusher
in the NFL just with his yards
before contact. And let alone Sequin's
impossible to tackle. So let him just go
ahead and put the biggest season of all time
together. All right, we'll be back tomorrow.
Boys, football's here. Here we go.
Here we go.
Yeah. Yeah.
All right. AJ, you're the best.
And we're growing it out, huh?
Yeah, I guess. Like I said,
Let's go.
What did Laura say?
I kind of yearned to.
I had an old bull.
Is that what she said?
What was that?
Finish that word comment.
What is it?
I had the old bull.
I don't want the young cat.
She's a sweat dripping down my...
I got a luscious v.
chest pews.
Going out of my chest hair
to my ball fro.
And she grabs me by the penis.
What I'm I supposed to do?
What a show?
Shut the fuck up!
So is that what you're doing?
You're going back to the young.
calf?
No, I mean, you know, like I got
grow the sides of it. They don't figure something out.
I'll cut it.
Yeah, we'll be here for it.
I think now's the time to really try to do that.
Yeah. Three weeks before the football season starts.
Just fuck it.
A whole new face.
You know?
Why not?
A lot of people do that before camp usually, actually.
Yeah, we'll be pretty excited for it.
To kind of watch it all evolve.
We'll be here for it every step of the way.
Actually, a screenshot every single day.
National Championship?
Oh, he's going to have a little.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
A little bun.
Maybe a little samurai.
Yeah.
That would be sick.
I don't think that's the plan, but we'll see.
Hawk Hair Watch.
Oh, 2025.
Mm-hmm.
Look out.
Never.
There it is.
That's what we're looking for.
That's what we want.
You want to grow that back yet.
No, I'm making a perm before I do that.
Yeah.
You should.
Think about that affliction T-shirt coming back, too.
And also, also, bang.
Yep.
Bang.
Bring back the big boots.
Bang.
Oh, man.
bang we can do it
I should
especially if you're wearing
affliction you have to
I have to I think you gotta walk around
actually and just say if you get it my way
I should bring it back
it should bring your affliction back
get the jeans with the big laces you know
and all that
Paramount Plus needs to think about
investing in infliction
you know you sign a UFC deal
there you go
how do you get the paper view buys
new affliction shirt
4999
yep who's the spokesperson
boom
Tom Cruz
oh
TC in their affliction
I don't know if any shirt TC's wearing
anybody's buying $49.99. That's about
$249. That's fair. That's fair.
Which is kind of the affliction.
He's the company, man.
He might do it for Paramount.
He is the company.
Yeah. Yeah. All right.
Great work in the back, boys.
Way to get back in the saddle.
Hey, boys.
All right, we'll be back tomorrow. More bullshit.
Breaston DeChambeau will be here for the entire second hour.
I think we have some other stuff happening.
You are the best people on Earth.
We missed you a lot.
We had a great time off, but we certainly missed this.
We're lucky to do this. We're thankful for this.
And this can be the best football season we've ever had.
I think so.
Bye.
Be a friend, tell friends.
I'm nice.
My change your life.
We're in this thing together.
Team on me.
Team on three.
One, two, three.
Team.
Goodbye.
