For those that don't know, it was 1,205 days ago that we as a program placed our final promoted parlay on a sportsbook platform.
Over 230,000 people joined us in our big game journey that evening.
Historians say it was the largest group parlay bet in global sports gambling history.
And at the end of the night, there we all sat, 43 yards short and wildly bummed die.
He was all going exactly to plan.
Travis had a cut in the first quarter.
Jalen scored in the first two.
We'd actually go on a throw for over 300 yards.
230,000 plus people waited on some Chiefs yards through the sky and were still waiting.
Sometimes it feels like the gambling gods send you a message.
And this one was heard loud and clear.
We had to step away from the promoted team betting world.
We had to sharpen our sharp.
We had to pound the pavement.
We had to wait until it was the perfect time.
Well, now is the time.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially partnered with Draft Kings.
We'll be boosting odds and boosting profits and creating new ways to bet on the sports we all love.
But that's not all.
Draft Kings is now available nationwide, and we'll be creating new custom markets to be traded exclusively on Draft Kings.
We hope if you're of age, you will join us no matter what state you're in responsibly.
Of course, because we're adults here in chasing the crown.
The following program is a collection of students talking about happening.
in the sports world. It is meant to be comedic informative. The opinions expressed on this show
do not necessarily reflect the beliefs of their peers, their boss, or ESPN. There may be some
cuss words because that's how humans is the real world talk. If you are young, please seek
permission before watching any further.
Why? Let's go.
This show stinks. And the fact that you listen, we are very, very thankful for it.
The all-time leading tackler for the Green Day Packers.
You pink.
Your friend, other friends, something nice to change their life.
Hello, beautiful people, and welcome to our humble abode, the Draft King's Thunderdome.
On this monumental overreaction Monday, June 1st, 2026, this program begins now.
Force.
Are the absolute greatest, and we're so incredibly lucky that we get a chance to chat about them.
And that's right, huge news out of the program's world, out of this Draft King's Thunderdome, we are officially partnering with.
with the partner of ESPN and many, many others,
Draft Kings as we tried to chase the crown
and also utilize their incredible predictive market app
that is being launched into the sun
as we continue to build the Draft King Super app.
And we've had a chance to obviously chit chat
in the gambling world before.
We used to be on a sportsbook platform
and we would make picks every single week.
They get promoted.
We'd think of different ways to go about
trying to win money from the sports book platforms.
And then on our final one,
230,000 people
bet alongside of us. That was a lot of pressure.
That was a lot of obviously nerves
and anxiety. And as we thought we were going to hit,
we thought we were going to have the greatest end to a football
season of all time. And then whenever we lose
by 40-some yards,
Patrick Mahler's to the sky,
took a lot of heat in the mirror,
on the internet, and amongst ourselves.
We let the world down. We had to go back.
We had to get better. We had to step away.
And now, Draft King's sports
is nationwide.
Predictive markets are in the state,
where there isn't sports gambling.
There's fantasy, obviously, in a few other states
that don't have the predictive markets
or do sports gambling.
We're going to be creating new bets,
creating new odds, creating fun ways to bet on sports,
but also, going to remind you every time,
need to be irresponsible here.
Hey, we're not, this is not the silver bullet
to being rich.
No, no, no.
Okay, and none of us know
what the hell is going to happen.
So if you're 21 plus, we'd love you to come chase the crown,
because when you get crowned,
that's whenever you're happy,
and you feel like a super smart person,
and there's a chance you're going to lose.
A big chance.
Let's make sure we're not losing, obviously, what we can't lose, but let's enjoy the hell out of sports.
A little bit more with our friends at Draft Kings.
Funny full circle moment for us.
Obviously, we had never partnered with Draft Kings.
ESPN signed to deal with Draft Kings, which obviously opened up a line of conversation with some OGs over there.
We are a young TV group, I think, but we're kind of an old internet group.
We've been around for a little bit more and a little bit longer on the internet.
The people at the head of Draft Kings have been around a long time as well.
Yeah.
You know, one guy was just a part of a hot sauce subscription service called Fuego Box way back in the day.
Now he is building partnerships alongside Jason Robbins of Draft Kings,
who's founder obviously all the way back whenever they were just fantasy sports,
then they move into Daily Fantasy, then they get into sports gambling,
now they're getting into predictive markets, now they have casinos as well.
Jason Robbins kind of been through it all.
So we've watched from afar, obviously they're a New England-based company,
we've watched from afar on what they did.
We've seen them steal a couple of our promos.
Obviously, we looked and saw what they were doing as well,
We are honored to be working alongside the top at Draft Kings.
Everybody we've met there has been fantastic.
And hopefully we'll be able to make sports a little bit more fun.
And hopefully we'll be able to continue to contribute to a society thing that is taking place right now,
which is smart gambling as opposed to stupid gambling.
So if you're under 21, can't do it.
If you're a professional athlete or college athlete.
Sure.
Can't do it.
Just can't do it.
But this is going to be a part of our lives.
So let's embrace it.
Let's enjoy it.
and let's make it the best it could possibly be,
we're very thankful for Draft Kings.
Now, we'll continue to do what we do.
The toxic tables here at Boston Conner
and at Ty Schmidt,
another Boston group coming into our world here
with Draft Kings Conman.
I don't know how I feel about it,
especially coming out of a weekend
where it looked like everybody's super duper happy up there.
May Day classic softball game that everybody's out.
I think I saw Ann Michael hit a liner out the middle.
Drake May hit it out.
Vrable came, was having a good time,
got introduced, got clap for.
I mean, it feels like everything's up and up,
and now we got more Boston in our lives.
It's a fascinating time, Cohn.
Yeah, it's fantastic.
Draf King's best of the best.
And of course, like you mentioned,
they are a New England-based company.
That's just where they innovate
and basically create everything.
But yeah, great vibes out of New England this week.
And this was up in Worcester.
Of course, they weren't playing at Femway Park,
but still fantastic celebrity softball game
raised $94,000.
And of course, A.J. Brand day, baby.
Come on.
Yeah, it is A.J. Brand day, potentially.
We'll have Schaefter joining us in about four or five minutes.
It is June 1.
So post-June 1 designations happen after 4 p.m.
It saves the Philadelphia Eagles like 17 million against the dead cap.
I think it's like 16 million something.
They'll still have like 27 million in dead cap,
but it wouldn't be 43, which would have happened if he was to be traded before today at 4 p.m.
He'll become an after 4 p.m. today.
So it saves the Eagles money.
And allegedly you're not even allowed to discuss anything.
Nope.
Okay, we'll change it.
You can't even discuss it.
So maybe they're hammering the phones now.
Maybe the offers are already ready.
Ian Rappaport of NFL Network's senior insider fame.
junior NFL inside of ESPN fame.
He reported that what he was hearing
is the Patriots weren't willing to give up a first round
round pick for A.J. Brown.
Then there was conversation that maybe the Rams
were about to make a play for A.J. Brown.
Now we're post-J. 1. Now it's about to be 4 o'clock.
Schefter was on get-up this morning. He said within the next
24 hours, AJ Brown's going to be a patriot.
We'll ask him if there's a chance he could be anywhere else.
As Connor celebrates, good for them.
Let's go to one half of the Hammer.
Cowboys AP Tone.
Tone, listen, whenever it comes to Hammer,
you guys are giving out a lot of picks.
Now we're back in the, hey, we're going to get it broadcasted and promoted out there.
We know what can come with that.
We can get our asses beat, okay?
We can lose publicly.
We can get shamed, ridiculed.
But what we do know is we're going to be trying to take advantage of Draft Kings every possible way.
We're going to be looking into every line that we can take their money.
We want to take their crown.
That is the goal of this entire thing.
We appreciate them giving us the opportunity to be able to create new ways to do things on Draft King's platform.
And we appreciate the fact that we're going to be able to link up with so many people that have Draft Kings deal that we've never been able to.
Yeah.
you know like never been able to really do it no but we need to win the crowns tone you hear me this is
what we need to do and when we see an alien we need to point it out and go that one is probably going
to win some of us did spurs get to the finals take on the nix is the alien gambling a method probably
a good way to get started and what did we learn from wemby whenever it comes to being able to bet on
because he comes the first guy in the history of a seven game series to record those stats are
everything that matters in basketball.
So I just need to look at him and understand that he's probably going to be the gift horse
that just keeps showing up to us every single playoff series.
I mean, Wemby's absolutely unbelievable.
He is unique in a way that we have never ever seen on the basketball court.
Taking down SGA and OKC, obviously they were dogs in that series and they got it done.
They are now favorites heading into the championship, the NBA championship, the finals, if you will.
Four and a half in game one.
Now, I have a stat.
Teams that are coming off of a game seven win going.
going against teams that are going coming off of a sweep.
That would be the Knicks are three and 14 straight up.
So what does that mean?
That means the spurs in this situation,
teams in this situation have gone three and 14 straight up
against the Knicks in this situation.
So that's something to watch for game one.
Maybe wait until game one to take the spurs
because that minus 200 that they are for the series.
If they do lose game one, we'll come down.
We'll get to be in nice manageable,
maybe minus 125 situation when you come to game two.
But no, I would maybe hesitate because the Knicks, they did have to come back from a 22.
4th quarter deficit in game one of the last one, rest first rest, but we will see here against the Spurs.
Yeah, and the Knicks have won by like 30 or something in like 11 straight.
I mean, it's being absolutely outrageous, the buzz saw.
But as Draymond Green say, he's the East.
See, he said that pretty emphatically.
Now, we had to look up, you know, as the East won a title, like in the last 10 years, yeah.
Yeah, there's been a lot of different teams that have done it.
There's actually interesting stats going around. Hembo dropped this one.
I think it's the eighth different champion that they've had in eight season.
The 20 seasons previous to that, they only had eight.
So now you would say, obviously, the parody of the league and being able to build up different teams.
And obviously, the finals being different to last three years, definitely all six teams changing is great for the league.
Your thoughts on this finals says, we have massive New York City and New Jersey in surrounding area taking on San Antonio in Texas.
And I think a lot of new fans, okay, especially with how he was.
getting treated in that last series, guy who's going to beat.
I think Wemby, big-time baby face.
I think Wemby, big-time baby face.
I think a lot of United States of America, they should obviously know about him,
but he's still relatively new to maybe a lot of folks.
They're going to watch this guy and fall in love with him.
And then New York, people already have a natural hatred for, like, the big city,
you know, if you don't live there.
I think it's setting up for good storylines, great ball,
and maybe some historic basketball and hoops that we might be a part of one of those nights deep.
Yeah, I think it's going to be great.
You're talking about the NBA having those different.
champions. Like that's what every league, you know, major league is sent it. They're chasing the
parody and kind of making it even. And, you know, Adam Silver has made some huge changes with the
draft going forward as well. And I love it because you're going to the playoffs and you really don't
know who's going to come out on either side. But yeah, the Knicks have been absolutely dominant.
Everybody, you know, has kind of been rooting for them and saying, hey, this is the year, this
the year. So to finally see them get back. And not only get back and get out of the east, like
Draymond said, yeah, it's the east, but they've been dominant. Tone talked about having to come back
from the calves that being down 22 points.
Once that happened, I think everybody kind of felt like, okay, I don't know if the calves
are even going to get a win, and they didn't.
So they've taken care of business, and they're on the other side.
The Spurs, they had the battle.
You had to beat.
You obviously defend the champs with SGA.
SGA gave his best shot at the end.
Didn't have enough help.
But Wembe, he is a breath of fresh air.
Look, the Champions League is over so I can actually talk about him now and not be an asshole.
I love this guy.
Who won, by the way.
Who won?
They won.
His team won.
He had a nice little French.
parlay over the weekend.
And if you did that, you got the crown.
I obviously did not.
But I love this guy.
You can tell just how much he cared.
And this is what you always want from like the stars and like the ambassadors of the game.
Show that they care.
You know, you care.
You're only coming out of the West.
And yeah, you want to win it all.
Jobs not done.
But things that he's done, the things that he's been saying, like you go back to the clip
with Brunson, you know, beat him.
But then he dropped 61 through his ball in the crowd.
Just all of it.
And now he's on the biggest stage, biggest moments.
It almost feels like the next coming of like what Tim
Dunkin Awards for this franchise.
Isn't Winby's time now? Is it Winby's
league? You know, we shall see.
Yeah, I think we, I think everybody's trying to crown him.
Yeah, everybody's trying to crown him.
Then Oklahoma City forces a game seven or whatever, and everybody goes, wait,
should we crown this guy?
They just lost by 27 points in a Western Conference finals.
Then he bounces back.
Then his mentality is what it is.
If he's able to remain healthy, which they say he's been preparing for his entire life.
Mom's 6-4.
I think dad's 6-7.
I think they knew he was on his way.
so they've been taking care of that type of stuff
because usually the big man can't hold up.
They're trying to take care of that.
The pinky on Mitchell Robinson, I think it's going to be okay.
He better play.
Hopefully.
A lot of people mad about that.
That's Wednesday night.
Tomorrow night, the NHL.
Stanley Cup finals is the Vegas Golden Knights represent the West
taking on the Caniaks in Carolina.
Ty, your Golden Knights are back in Lordo's dance.
I know you've been dancing in your punch
just thinking about Torts' lifestyle,
but these caniacs are no joke, brother.
No, absolutely not,
which was evidenced by the fact that the Golden Knights swept the Colorado Avalanche who won the President's trophy.
Everyone thought they were the best team in the league. The Golden Knights are still underdogs.
I haven't watched them play for a couple weeks, you know, because they swept, so they've been off.
I kind of forgot about them a little bit. But listen, same deal.
The NBA finals are going to be unbelievable, but that's why we have multiple games on multiple nights.
If you want to sit in and watch some excellent hockey, even if you don't really understand the sport,
what a great way to kind of get your toes wet with a couple of Titans, you know, going for the ultimate prize.
in sports Lord Stanley's Cup.
That's right. Lordo is certainly a spectacle whenever you see it
and lay eyes upon it. You say, wow, that's worth fighting for.
Good luck to both of them.
I can't help and notice quickly before we moved to some insider information.
That's a brand new hat.
Yeah, it is.
Is that thing?
Everything okay over here?
Yeah.
Over here?
Easy.
First and foremost, yes.
I believe it's either like silk or something like that.
Satin, maybe.
Yeah, silk or satin.
And then, yes, the fever part is bedazzled.
This is the official draft cap of the Indiana fever.
And yes, everything is fine in our...
That's not what I'm saying.
You know what's not fine?
Coach White needs to fucking pipe down.
What?
Ease up.
Okay, we got the franchise.
All right.
So guess what?
If she wants to come over to the bench and pat and scream and not play defense, she can.
All right?
What?
See, that's the problem.
Stand down.
You let her do whatever the hell she wants.
And let's keep this thing moving.
No, that's the problem.
That's been happening is what the thing.
What happened in this game?
You tell me.
Well, I kind of just saw the clip.
I don't hope they won or lost.
They got crushed by Portland.
Exactly.
Exactly.
They got crushed by four.
Because she wasn't on the court.
That's what.
She wasn't.
She got by the defense.
That's what coach.
Why aren't we?
That's what we need out there.
Not from her.
The other end, she's making 35 footers from three.
That's what she's doing.
I don't need her banging.
and clanging and potentially getting hurt.
Listen, this is just one of those little bumps in the road.
We always see them, okay?
And Coach White, she should look at what's happened in the past.
If she wants to keep her jobs.
No, no, no, no.
She might want to fall in line.
They're a good team.
It's a good team.
It's a good team.
I don't know.
They show up pretty flat.
Way too often.
No.
Easy.
And that's on coaching.
Okay.
Okay.
Coach White.
Kayla might force yourself out.
No.
She's a Midwest guy.
She would never.
No.
I don't know.
She might.
Let's move along.
Hey, hey.
This is me and Debutt talking here.
See you guys.
Let's figure it out in there.
We need you guys.
Cities dependent upon you.
Big time.
I think there's ideas to build like an entire.
Who are you thinking?
Say goodbye to that training facility.
See that?
That's wood.
From the Cameron Indoor Stadium.
We bopping around here.
Boom.
Boom.
Oh.
Yeah, exactly.
That's why I don't need 22 doing that.
Coach Luter, make her play defense of college?
Yeah.
What do you think, D-Butt?
No, they were scoring 110 points a game.
DeBott, they got C-C right out here outside the three-point lines.
They don't got her down there in the paint.
No.
They don't got a full body down there and taking charges.
The golden goose.
Shut up.
Shut up.
Trying to take her out every single game, too.
All right.
We think this will be better for the fever in a long term.
Without a doubt.
Had to have this moment.
Had to.
They're all competitors.
They're going to win the title.
I'm happy for them.
I'm a pump for them.
Also, I like the way the Giants all.
handled it, right? Everything that became very public, very loud. That got handled very well.
Sometimes a little adversity, you know, are the moments where you can really come together and
bond. Absolutely. And I think that's a special thing about sport. You know, we've been talking
about that since I've gotten a chance to get onto a microphone, talking about, you know, how
the world, outside world, is so much different than what a locker room is. You know, I'm kind
of an isolated person, live my life how I live. And like, in a locker room, and I'm not the
only person's ever said this, so I don't want to sound like I wrote this thing. But in a
locker room, you have so many different people from so many different places. And if you're
just travel around the United States of America. I mean, we got like 30 different countries
in the United States of America. So many different backgrounds, so many different, you know,
views on life, so many different events that have taken place that kind of shape how people think.
So the locker room is a great place to kind of come together. Oh, yeah. You know, focus on one thing
and showcase to the world that you can have some disagreements and still get shit done. So I'm
happy to see that the Giants are kind of doing that in a public way from sports to society.
I think that's a big deal. Yeah, as a team, it's like an organization you always hate when it's
like distractions or something, you know, outside of the main goal being focused on or talked
about. So, you know, you have the things public, obviously, with Dart, and then Carter coming
out saying what he said. And then they hash it out. They had their conversation. And as a
locker room, we're going to have those uncomfortable conversations. Like you said, we kind of always
doing to leave. I thought he made a, he had a great take on it as well. Look, everybody's not
on the same page. You don't see all those things the same way. But when it comes to our job,
that's what we're trying to get done. So yeah, I thought they handled the great. Now, did they
handle that softball game. Great.
I don't know about that. I like the Patriots
one. Drake May Day was great.
Hell yeah. The shit I'm seeing from the Giants one.
On that note, joining us now, ladies and gentlemen,
senior NFL insider at ESPN,
Adam Schaefter.
Hey, Jeffty, thank you for...
Gentlemen, what's going on? Hey, just hanging. Happy Overreaction
Monday to you, Bob. Welcome to the Draft King's Thunder.
Woo!
Yeah! Okay.
Great to see you. Oh, there's a call.
Maybe from the Giants right there. That's a good
starting point. Hated that I saw
the way Malik Neighbors ran the first base.
Love that he is confident enough to play in a softball game that he knows cameras are going to be at.
Okay, this is just like Patrick Mahomes golfing.
I think that's an indicator from the person that they feel good about where their recovery is.
But after hearing that he had some stiffness and had to get another surgery to clear up some scar tissue,
seeing him run like this, has made everybody scared to death about what Malik Neighbors is going to look like this season.
Do you have news to put that fire out or are our eyes telling us the story about what's about to happen here?
I think you watch what you watch, you see what you see, and you know that he's trying to make his way back from a second knee surgery that was done to clean up the scar tissue, address some of the stiffness in there.
And I think it's a case where the Giants have said all along.
They're hopeful.
That's the word they've used, Pat, hopeful that he plays on that Sunday night opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
But again, I think that they're not.
counting on him being ready. And it certainly doesn't look like he's close to being ready.
Yeah, but there's a lot of time. Hold the phone, though. Let's hold the phone, please.
Do we think these guys are self-aware enough to know, like, hey, if I'm not going to be ready by season,
I shouldn't go and do a public display of this? Like, there's people that are talking to him about
whether or not he should be playing this up. There's people talking to Scataboo whether or not he's
cleared to do backflips in public spectacles, right? Like, I don't know about that. Like,
Malik's got to be self-aware enough to know that, like, hey, I'm going to be healthy for the season.
And I can do this without re-injuring myself.
It looks like he is very early in a recovery.
Yeah.
But that is something that hopefully you're working on every single day.
And like you can make big steps in like three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, six weeks of every day doing rehab and stuff like that.
I hated seeing it though.
Yeah, I mean, you don't want to see your franchise wide receiver doing that, especially if you're on the path of recovery.
I'm sure if you're in an ownership level, even like the head coach.
Like I know the head coaches we played for.
Like, if we saw something, like, what are you doing?
Yeah, okay, neighbors is going to be there.
He's not taking a hit.
He's not feeling it.
He's not doing anything physical.
A lot of clapping.
God forbid, you just trip over.
Or he's got to hit a homer so he can jogger out of bases and not have a bang, bang,
play.
Yeah, but let's not pivot on our knee much either.
That's a whole other thing.
That's why the Patrick Mahomes thing for me was such a big deal.
Because golf is so much turning at your, at your baseball, too.
That's a lot of knees, you know what I mean?
So it's like, as somebody that has had four knee.
scopes and everything like that.
It's like some of the things that these guys are choosing to do after having knee injuries,
it's like I think they're very confident.
I think they are very confident, but this might just be that big gear.
I'm not making that.
That might be the way that they start viewing that entire thing.
Going back to a locker room culture, by the way, you know, that bit far, you know, that whole thing.
And that was a great video this weekend.
Shout to that kid.
I assume he's going to run a team someday.
But I think these guys know that they're going to be okay.
Scataboo, completely clear.
That's a big time backflip.
I mean, 61 for the Giants named...
John Michael Schmidt.
Schmidt goes, oh, my God, as he's flipping in the air right there.
Scadaboo, once again, confident enough to do the backflip,
makes me think that he knows his body better than we do.
He's 100% back as well.
Are the Giants tighter than they've ever been
because the Abdul-Carter Jackson-Dart thing?
Are they healthier than we thought maybe they were?
They just signed barriers?
No, yeah, right?
They sent Braxton over Juju Smith-Schuster and O'Dell Beckham Jr. at this.
Hold on.
They still could add to that.
They still could add more from now with those wide receivers.
They might not be done yet.
Okay, so multiple guys get signed out of a wide receiver workout.
He's John Harbaugh kind of in his bag.
How do the Giants feel very positive, I assume, about where they're at,
especially with how tight.
Maybe they get the early awkwardness out of the way in John Harbaugh's thing
have to come together tighter than they've ever been
because how everybody outside was, you know,
Harbaugh could certainly say trying to drive us apart right now.
That's the exact opposite of what we need.
Young team.
Vibes immaculate in New York, it sounds like.
And you and Renan both say, is it Ju-Ju or O'Dell Beckham Jr.?
If O'Dell Beckham Jr. is going back to the Giants, that feels like a big deal.
That feels like a pretty big deal.
J-ju-ju-as-well, obviously.
But OBJ going back to the beginning on those.
That would be gigantic.
That'd be gigantic, Chef.
Is that what you're hearing?
Is there a little bit of a lean?
And maybe OBJ's back?
I saw him in that flag football thing.
Let's put it this way, Pat.
I wouldn't be surprised.
I wouldn't be surprised at that happened.
Hey, Odell.
Congrats, man.
Go, O'Dell.
He was at the game, right?
Yeah, he was there talking to Jackson Dart, I believe.
So he's already kind of back in there.
Good for him.
Congrats to him.
Because that was all, it's been a long road.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, very.
Ladies of gentlemen, breaking news.
Whoa.
Okay.
I would like to say we broke it.
No, we broke it, Jeffty.
Yeah.
We did break it.
Junior.
Oh, no.
Junior, junior.
He saw you on TV.
That was the call.
He hung up.
This is our fault.
Junior's going to be so pumped about that.
Sorry, Sr.
Mine's up.
I'm good.
Okay, okay, all right, all right, all right.
Let's just make sure.
That's awesome.
Congrats O'Dell, man.
Yeah.
Here we go.
I am happy for him.
There was something coming out of the owner's meetings.
I think Bruce Brown maybe broke the news coming out of the league meetings in Arizona
about Harbaugh and O'Dell Beckham Jr.
I think having a sit down out there.
Bruce told somebody that became national news.
Full conversation happened.
Renon's,
co-host, I forget his name, whenever they were talking about our show.
He ran a clip from our show.
We talked about how Good Renan looked and then we said,
maybe O'Dell Beckham Jr. reunion with the Giants.
Co-host immediately goes, that's not happening, but let's move on.
Bobby Skinner, I believe.
Yeah.
Love is Moxie.
I love Bob.
I like Bobby Skinner.
I like Bobby taking that shot because it did seem far-fetched.
But you, as a Giants fan who had access to the league meetings saw Harbaugh and O'Dell Beckham
Jr. sitting together.
And your description was like, they were really in it, man.
It felt like it was a real combo.
So you've been wanting this kind of since the beginning and have been reporting about it, Bruce.
What are your thoughts on it now that it's actually happening?
And if somebody needs to rock the baby, you love to know.
Baby crying?
Yeah, I'm fired up, you know, awesome vet leadership in a wide receiver room that, you know,
might be a little shorthanded to start the year here.
But yeah, it should be awesome.
Maybe we can get, you know, in a fight with the kicking net, maybe spike a helmet a couple times,
week three against the commanders, you know, things like that.
And then, you know, if we get 500 yards and four touchdowns,
it's an awesome year out of OBJ, back where it all started.
Who's O.C. over there?
Oh, Bruce.
Bruce.
Oh, no.
I'm talking about Jackson Dart.
Hey, don't you worry about that.
Matt Nagy, right?
Yes.
Okay.
Are they going to make it through practices?
Because it sure sounds like they're not.
What do you mean?
A couple of freaky's injuries.
Not a great way to start OTAs.
But I won't call John Harbaugh's fault if that's what we're insinuating.
No, I mean, there's a conversation from.
months ago where Zay Flowers talked about
Harbaugh's practicing being real, real.
And I don't, you know, obviously anytime injuries
happen, everything's going to get talked about, but
the Achilles is a scary one.
And obviously, we hope nobody for the rest
of time has it. Let's move to some other new
stories, shall we? The big one of the day,
it almost was the title of the day. Go ahead,
con man. Yeah, Shafter, your haircut looks fantastic
for A.J. Brown Day.
What is your tweet looking like that's saved
in your drafts right now with the A.J.
Brown jersey swap to Boston,
New England, if you will. What is
that?
looking like, is it going to be a
first round, a second round, is it going to be a player?
Are they going to trade a wide receiver?
When should I expect
your notification to come through my phone
for A.J. Brown being traded to New England today?
I think that that's probably
a later in the day
story that two sides as of
this weekend had not connected
at all in recent weeks.
And so
it was a situation where they have to come in
today, discuss the deal,
finalize terms,
as we've said all along, I always thought that that deal would include a first round pick in 2028.
We'll see if that's what they settle in on later today.
The trade could not be processed until after 4 o'clock today,
so I think that's probably a rough time of when this might be coming down later on.
But yeah, it's still tracking to happen,
and I think in the next 24 hours we'll get A.J. Brown in that jersey you're looking at right there.
No other teams? Because wasn't it said that maybe the Rams?
were interested this past off season in A.J. Brown, and, you know, I know Stefan Diggs is still out there.
Is it considered Stefan Diggs is going to get signed as soon as the A.J. Brown stuff gets finalized?
Like, kind of how do those two tie together? And are there any other teams that could potentially come in and, you know, maybe offer something better than the Patriots could?
I don't see that happening. Anything is always possible. But I think this is essentially a one-team race right now.
I think it is going to be New England. I think that the two sides have to finalize this trade.
and I expect that that will happen
and that he'll be a New England Patriot back
with Mike Vrable, who he thrived under in Tennessee.
Obviously, he's going to want to go play for Vrable again.
Vrable's going to want A.J. Brown again,
and I think both sides will get their wish
at some point here in the next 24 hours.
We remember that draft night whenever A.J. Brown got traded
and Vrabs just pushes the chair away from the table,
stands up, turns around.
Lice, comes back.
And then it tightens Vrable-era just kind of slug.
lowly want dying this way.
Yep.
How's it going? I don't trust anybody. I don't like
anybody. I'm going to say, Patriots Hall of Fame.
What am I going to say? His place is so much
better than other places. Hold on to it for as long
as you fucking can up here. Life is terrible
at other places. He gets back into the building.
They all get mad at them. Boom. You're fired.
See you later.
Then he goes to Cleveland Browns for a year. They had him in a building.
Yeah. Then he somehow
becomes the New England Patriots head coach.
Yeah. And they go to Super Bowl.
Then that off season,
a lot
will happen. Yeah.
Charging softball.
May Day.
Boston Children's awesome.
We're not talking about May.
We're talking about May Day.
May Day.
That's just everybody outside of the building.
That's great.
But it sounds like that all seemingly.
Love, love, love, love, love, mistake.
We all, let's move.
People screw up.
And they're going to win.
Maybe football games again up there.
Seems to always work out.
Now, let's talk about a place where it never seems to work out.
Go ahead, Tone.
Chefty, we have Miles Garrett trade smoke again.
Mary Kay Cabot has tweeted.
has tweeted that the trade wins are circulating again around Miles Garrett.
First, we had his note and request to be traded. He did not. He got a new contract.
And then they revised that contract or reworked that contract, I should say, and people said,
oh, that's a lot more tradable. And then nothing happened. And now we hear we are again on June 1st,
and the trade wins are kicking up again for Miles Garrett. Have you heard the same exact things before
the Browns are saying that's definitely not happening or anything new around there?
Well, again, I would go back to what happened when we initially reported that his contract was reworked.
I got a team's calm, and they're like, they're going to trade him eventually.
They're going to trade him eventually.
That was the opinion of some teams.
The Browns all along have been adamant that they're not trading him.
So other teams have said at some point in time, they expect him to be traded, and the Browns have said, we're not trading him.
And that's kind of where we're at right now.
Very interesting.
It's very interesting, obviously, because he's coming off a record-breaking year.
obviously in his prime. He's getting paid a lot of money, but a lot of past rushers are getting
paid a lot of money now because of the deal that he was able to work with the Cleveland Browns.
Shout to the Browns doing that all the time at every position seemingly. Let's move away from there.
Let's go to a couple teams that have big days today. Go ahead, D. Bud.
Yeah, talking about guys getting paid a lot of money, Dak, Prescott, Joe Burrell, both of their teams,
bangles and Cowboys. They start OTAs today. Any news coming out of either one of those buildings?
Well, I would say that with the Cowboys, I'd be surprised if George Pickens were in attendance there today.
I know he signed his franchise tender, but it's a voluntary OTA.
He still does not have his long-term deal.
I haven't heard whether he is or isn't there, but I would be very surprised if he were there.
Again, he wants that deal.
He wants a deal somewhere, whether it's Dallas or if they're willing to trade him, nothing's happened.
So I would think that as long as things are voluntary, he's not going to volunteer to be there.
He's just not going to do those things unless he gets the contract he wants,
and that'll be a recurring issue.
I would think throughout the off-season here, when there's a mandatory minicamp,
he's contractually obligated to be there and would have to be there.
Voluntaryotes does not have to be there and would think that he's not going to be there.
The Bengals, obviously, a lot of emphasis on their defense during the off-season.
They really look like on paper.
They've improved that unit.
If Joe Burroughs back, if he's healthy, if he's playing the way that he normally does,
this team I would put up against just about anybody.
AFC. They are a Super Bowl sleeper in my mind. The schedule is set up favorably. Dexter Lawrence
should make a world of difference on this team with plays like that. The pressure he gets
up the middle on quarterbacks, that's what he does. And so I think Cincinnati's prime for a big
year. Good for them. Good for them. A lot of drama, obviously, around them. And then now it
feels like we like their team more than ever. And Tia and Jamar are going to go crazy.
Okay, Joe's going to go crazy. Yeah, okay. Who's blocking for him? Who did they add in the O line?
Don't worry about that.
It's every year.
It's every year with this team.
They're probably for a big year.
They got a good defense, though.
Even though they let go to the guy.
They got one guy.
That's a lot.
That's a lot.
They got one guy.
They brought Dexter Lawrence in.
He's a good player.
Great player.
What about this thing?
What about this thing?
Hey.
Sick.
You know what team you used on last year?
Big Dex Daddy.
You know where Dex was playing last year?
What?
You know where Dex was playing last year?
Yeah, they weren't good.
That defense was.
Four game.
It's fighting back from a gruesomevo injury.
What about the year.
Okay.
So he gets her due.
No, well, last season is anomaly.
You go back a couple years, he's the guy.
Everybody forgets about those times.
He's going out to Cincinnati.
Well, man, you know, he's starting with the man in the mirror.
He can really make change.
Every year with the team.
Every freaking year, man.
Big Dex, Daddy and Cincinnati, you don't think that's going to go crazy?
Yeah, right.
I'm a believer.
I'm a believer in Joey B in the crew over there
until we see him inevitably fail again.
And if they do, we got to remember only one team wins the Super Bowl every year.
Now, will that team be the Minnesota Vikings last week?
Ty Schmidt said, and I quote,
the football gods will never let the Minnesota Vikings
win a Super Bowl in my lifetime.
Ty has a question for you, Shefter.
Yeah, and I can answer that.
That really wasn't that hot of a take because they haven't won a Super Bowl ever,
so before my lifetime as well.
So that's nothing crazy.
So he kind of left off.
Yeah, a little bit.
And no, they're not going to win a Super Bowl this year.
But Shefti, just curious,
they did hire Nolan Teasley,
who was the assistant GM of the Seahawks.
What can you tell us about this guy?
and also how involved was KOC in this decision?
Very involved.
Was it on everything.
I met all the candidates, big voice.
Obviously, he's going to be working closely with Nolan Tisley.
Nolan Tisley had a great reputation in Seattle.
I think he was one of those unsung heroes that was involved in everything that that team did
that helped them win the Super Bowl title this year.
The Seahawks valued him, wanted to keep him.
They lose him.
They do get back two third-round draft picks now.
So we'll see how that works out over time.
he goes to Minnesota to become the general manager there.
And look, the Vikings were looking for somebody that had his type of talents that could scout,
could help run it for an office.
And when you speak to people in Seattle, again, they raved about the work that he had done.
And now at the age of 42, he finally gets an opportunity to become a general manager.
Congrats to him.
He's been there, I think, since 2014.
So he was in the rooms or in the building whenever they move on from Legion of Boom,
whenever they move on from Russell Wilson,
whenever they move on from Pete Carroll.
He was part of all of those types of things.
Those are very difficult conversations
that somebody who's running an organization has to have
and has to be able to do.
I'll be excited to see the leeway
on what he'll be able to do
with this future Vikings roster.
Like, are they going to move on from top, what,
12 pick or something like that in the NFL draft?
Will they look Kyle Murray do his thing?
Or will J.J. McCarthy come scrapping out like he's...
Nope. Nine.
Nine, Mike.
That's what I'm saying.
That's a good point.
Don't give up on nine.
Too late.
It's a good first gig.
What?
I mean, been to GM of the Vikings.
I feel like you got some good bones.
Obviously, you're trying to figure out your quarterback situation,
but you've got a great head coach, in my opinion, with KOC,
great D.C. with Flores, good talent around the roster.
So if I'm getting my first opportunity as a GM,
it's a good landing spot.
And also, he's been there, doesn't he?
He built up a winner.
Yeah.
Was it part of a winner and built up a winner over there with Schneider.
I assume he could have a beer or two via the guests?
I'd say.
Vikings and Bengals might as well be the same franchise.
All right.
Come on.
Let's talk about...
100 days away.
It is 100 days.
Thank you.
You're supposed to be celebratory.
You're just thinking.
You're saying a lot of the same things.
100 days.
Okay, 100 days.
It is interesting, but one of them will kind of go to the moon.
Let's talk about two franchises, one state.
I heard these politician people were up to 4.35 a.m.
Just couldn't get something done.
The bears are coming to Indiana Schifter?
Is this basically a guarantee now because the politicians, what are they doing so long?
How could you be around each other that long and not figure out a deal?
How can you get it to?
They love arguing.
That's why.
That's that competitive spirit, I guess.
We should kind of give them a little bit of credit for that they're able to go long into the night and say,
we ain't getting anything done.
What I'm saying in midnight, I'm saying at 4 a.m.
There's no budget.
Actually, I'm getting firmer in my stance because I'm getting more tired.
They weren't able to get something done.
So Indiana is now the home of the Indiana.
capitalist Colts and the
Hammond Bears.
Thank you. What's going on there,
Schaefter?
Look, this is,
I don't know where they're going to go, but it
sounds like it's going to be Indiana or it sounds like
Arlington. One of those two places, it sounds like
they're leaving Chicago, that sounds like a formality
at this point in time.
It's just hard to imagine the bears playing
anywhere else, but that is
going to become a reality. It looks like
barring something unforeseen.
I don't know which place they're going to go yet.
I just know that they're going to be out of Chicago.
It's on one place.
It's just hard to imagine.
I come to Indiana, Shefter.
Yeah, that's what's happening.
We appreciate you.
You're the man.
Thank you, guys.
Appreciate it.
Thank you.
Ladies' job, Adam Schaefter.
How many different convos do you think he was in at that exact moment?
He just read a great text right there.
You saw him pop up.
That's so kind of.
Oh, that's that.
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, all right.
I'm so pissed about Junior.
Yeah.
So pissed about you.
We kind of put it in his face there, too.
I mean, in the back there, that feels a little bit aggressive.
But maybe.
He was ready, too, because he kind of cut you off.
Oh, wait a minute.
What's that yet?
You mentioned Barrios-Bissons.
Instead of.
Yeah, he knew.
But he said that looks likely.
Yeah, it didn't have to go ahead yet.
And Jr. was like, I don't care because he's young, rambunctious fella.
You know, he just, I'm going to go do it.
The prince is always walking around saying, someday, I'm going to be king.
Exactly.
So whenever you get a little O'Dell Beckham Jr., potential possibility scoop,
you've got to run with that.
Got to.
And that's what separates junior and senior
from everybody else.
Everybody else just throwing darts.
And every once in a while they get something right,
ah, this person's going to do this.
And they can stand on that, especially on the internet.
But they're misses.
Like we've tried to play the game of trying to predict.
Oh, certainly.
Yeah.
Doesn't always work.
Sometimes you're very close.
You wear it close.
Do you remember our Christmas party?
What was the news that you broke?
You decided to become a baseball insider just as you guessed
that something happening or hoping
that something was going to happen? Yeah, that Yoshinovo Yamamoto was going to sign with the Yankees
for a nine-year $325 million contract and that Godzilla Matsui was the one who helped push it over
the goal line. Yeah, you did that entire thing. That got a million, I mean, that thing went into
outer space and it turns out you were completely wrong. I was close though. I had the money,
right. Yeah, yeah, you certainly did. I was proud of it. There's a lot of that. Junior and senior
seemingly get everything right. Another person that seemingly gets it right all the time.
Ladies of gentlemen, we're so incredibly lucky to welcome 15-year MBA vet. A man who can
Tell us what the hell weren't wrong with Oklahoma City.
My bet is it's going to rhyme with bet,
just from what I've been kind of hearing all morning.
Friend of the program, ladies of gentlemen, Kendrick Perk.
Yeah, Perk.
What up, Perk?
What up?
What up?
What up?
They're going to my guys.
What's happening?
You look super professional.
This is a, this is big perk here in a big month.
You look great heading into the finals.
It feels good to be Perk right now, yeah?
Yeah, it did.
You know what I mean?
But this is just the top.
You know what I mean?
In the home studio, you got to realize it's shorts and slippers on right now.
So this is the top half.
I'm glad I don't get the full body shot on here.
You know what I mean, Pat?
Yeah, and we are as well, for sure.
And we'll speak for everybody watching.
We'll speak for everybody watching.
This is on top party on the bottom.
Let's talk about the business on top of the game right now.
New York Knicks have just been waiting basically for the Western Conference to figure it out.
That goes seven games.
Wemby and the Spurs answer repeatedly as SGA tried to, hey, didn't flock, played his best game.
I think that was the most electrifying that I've gotten to watch SGA play in some time.
I thought it was a great game seven.
I think the NBA should be incredibly pumped.
But now Wembe is in his first finals.
What should we expect out of this series?
And what are you looking for out of Wembe to maybe cement the next crown on his head already?
Well, I expect another seven game series.
We're talking about two great teams that are playing at a high level.
One team is super physical and they don't give a damn who's standing in front of them.
That's the San Antonio Spurs.
This is not the old Greg Poppovich, Tim Duncan,
David Robinson type spurs where they just kick your ass quietly.
These San Antonio Spurs, they kick your ass and they loud about it.
They're going to let you know.
They're going to talk noise.
They're going to rub their feet all over your carpet in your arena.
Or the door dash on your credit card.
And it's cool.
This is what they own.
And I respect it.
Did you see the end of the game?
Dunk by Vassel when everybody was like, oh, sportsmanship, sportsmanship, respect, respect.
No, they get disrespectful.
Then you have the Knicks, on the other hand, that are playing the best basketball offensively and defensively in the entire NBA led by Big Body Bronson.
This is David and Goliath.
Right?
This is 75 Winby going against 6-1-662 Big Body Brunson.
I mean, I couldn't ask for anything better.
I'm expecting 15 to 20 million viewers on these NBA finals.
I think these NBA finals are going to set a record,
an all-time record for its viewership.
An absolute spectacle,
and I hope that is the case because sports can only provide
the magic that is a championship series, best of seven.
It's like you're telling a story,
and the story is going to be remembered and told forever.
It's just a winding road from New York City,
the Mecca to San Antonio with a spectacle.
David and Goliath obviously had the slingshot,
but what else, DeMle?
I love that.
Yeah, you talk about David and Goliath
and obviously it will be centered around those guys,
but in your opinion, Perk,
who has the better supporting cast around them,
not only with the players,
but even with the coaching staff on the benches?
Who, in your opinion, has the better support staff?
Is it Brunson or is it Wimby?
I got to go with Jaila Brunson.
I mean, we're talking.
by O'G. G. Ananobe, who's one of the better two-way players in the game.
Carl Anthony Towns is one of the most skilled bigs to ever play the game.
He's playing some outstanding basketball on both ends of the floor.
McKell Bridges, talk about founders' experience.
He's been on this stage before with the Phoenix Suns.
And when you just look at the veterans that they have on their squad,
they're just clicking at the right time, along with Mike Brown,
who's a two-time champion
as an assistant coach
I'm not taking nothing away from
Miss Johnson I call him
an evil genius right
he is a evil genius because
that little
I get one cuss word today right
that little red motherfucker is mean
and he's about that life
and I love everything about it
I voted for him
I voted for him for his coach
of the year he won't
smoke like he wants to smoke
you could tell that in his film
rooms, he was preaching physicality.
When we saw Carter Bryant have his two moments against SGA, yeah, and gave him them two,
yeah, I'm here and it is what it is.
Yeah.
That's an extension of your coach.
And I love everything about it, but if I had to get a slight edge to someone, I'm going to give
it to the New York Knicks because of the veterans that they have and the experience that
they have on this stage.
Yeah, and we'll talk about the experience around them, obviously, throughout the entire
course of the series.
They've been there, done that Celtics.
out Pacers knock him out. They've been trying to get to this point. They fired their coach to get to
this point. It feels like they've been made for this moment. And then San Antonio, how did you describe
him again? Just because I don't think I'm allowed to say that. Oh, he's a mean red
motherfucker, Ms. Johnson. And I love everything about. I love everything about it. They're up eight,
I think, in the fourth, maybe three minutes after less than that or something. He was celebrating
with the boys. Like you saw him doing one of these. And I was like, oh, no, no, this might be
I was so worried.
I was like so worried for what was about to happen
because I thought we were going to have to,
oh, no, that man, giving up a lead in game seven.
But instead, the boys reacted the complete opposite.
And it feels like him and Wembe are like perfect together.
Oh, yeah.
And, you know, if you build around Wembe and find the support for Wembe,
it feels like it's going to be a successful day for you.
Now, on the other side of the entire thing, go ahead, Tone.
Yeah, big perk.
Obviously, the Knicks have a ton of great defenders.
They got a couple seven-footers in Memphis.
Mitch Robinson and Kat.
Who do you think they're going to throw at Wemby the most?
I think they got to get it done collectively.
Number one, I'm still trying to figure out what the hell happened with Big Mitchell Robinson.
You know, Mike Brown basically said it wasn't nothing.
He didn't break his pinky at practice.
What was he doing outside the line?
What are you talking?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I'm just trying to see what was he doing outside the facility that he broke his pinky?
That's what I want.
film. He had a remote. He was watching
he had the little cowboy remote. I thought you
used your thumb. No, yeah, but he wanted to
put it down. Boom! Right off the
side of the table. He was so
excited about a new technique that he thought
could work. He's got a sweet truck. He was probably working on that.
Might have been cooking with Mr.
I would be surprised. Might have been with
Action Bronson. We don't know if he was his
action Bronson, maybe playing it frog, cooking up
a little bit, maybe doing some jazz.
It doesn't matter. Could have been with Timothy
Chalame, maybe out there doing something.
Maybe they were, um, you
Yeah, maybe they were riding a train, you know?
Could have been.
And he wanted to grab the post because it was a jerky.
Boom, bang, bust his shit.
Starts bleeding.
Timothy Shalamey blood down his face.
Yeah, we don't know, man.
Ben Stiller could have been operating a camera for Ben Stiller's new, you know, TV show.
You just never know.
He could have, he could have karate chop somebody in the neck that was trying to kill somebody.
Yeah.
And it hit right on the, the, the, yeah.
Yeah.
And broke his pinky there.
I mean, there could be a lot of things.
things.
It could be a lot of things.
But I know one thing that he needs to be on the floor.
He needs to be on the down floor.
But I wouldn't be surprised.
Hit me out.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Brown throw a wrench at the San Antonio Spurs.
Like, we're expecting Carl Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robertson.
But what about O.G. and Anobie.
What if they start him off on Wendy?
Right?
What if they start him off and have Carl Anthony Thompson?
as the wrong guy.
But look, we're to the point now.
Well, you're on the big stage.
It's not about all this coaching adjustments
and these exes and those.
Yeah, that play about 30% of it.
But in the finals, it's about who wanted the most.
Right?
Like, are you going to man up?
Mano e mono.
Do you want that smoke?
Right?
Call Anthony Towns, yes, you've been playing great.
But now you have Winby in front of you.
Can you play without picking up foul?
You have been doing an outstanding job all postseason long without picking up dumbass files.
Can you continue to build on that?
Mitchell Robertson, is you going to come in and you go, are you going to be a star in your role like you've been doing?
Lobb, dunks, rebound and protecting the basket.
I believe right now he's one of the best in the postseason as far as opponent's field goal percentage,
as him protecting the basket at 38%.
He got to be that.
He got to be that.
Winby is whimby.
he's going to make tough shots, but keep him out of your damn pain.
Okay, you mentioned OG as your first person and maybe Coach Brown throws a wrench at him.
There's a stats hitting the internet here, Caitlin Cooper.
Since Wembe was drafted, there are 20 players who defended him for at least 100 half-court
matchups.
The player who has tallied to fewest player points per 100 matchups against primary assignment is OJ.A.O.
Uh-oh.
I didn't see this.
I didn't see.
Hey, Perth didn't see it.
But I've been watching the game, though.
Big Antle of it.
I've been watching the game, though.
Speaking of watching the game,
we obviously have to talk about a dynasty
potentially being disrupted or
completed completely. Go ahead, Ty Schmidt.
Yeah, big perk.
Seeing as how the Thunder have a bunch of guys that they,
you know, they're going to have to make a lot of decisions
and they're trying to get under, you know,
whether it's the first apron, second apron,
all that, mumbo, jumbo.
They have another lottery pick somehow.
How different do you expect this Thunder team to look next year?
And do you think this kind of version of this dynasty, if you will, is over?
I believe it should be over.
I believe when you, going into the all season,
the Oklahoma City Thunder are eye candy.
They have a lot of attractive pieces that a lot of teams want,
whether there's draft capital or two-way players.
They have a lot of guys on their bench, Aaron Wiggins,
uh, Kaysen Wallace.
you know, all of these guys are starters on any other team.
It's hard to come across two-way players.
Now, they have some, Sam Presti have some big decisions to make.
Obviously, you have Luke Dort.
He's on a, he got a team option,
Azele Hardinstein team option.
And then the biggest decision for Sam Presti is,
what do you go do with Chad Hungry?
After he folded like clean sheets in these conference finals.
What are you going to do?
about him. See, people
think that I'm being harsh on
check and I'm just
tripping and I'm overreacting
when I'm telling them that the San Antonio
I mean that the Oklahoma City Thunder
needs to trade him. But
I'm watching the game
and I'm watching a guy
play with no passion
no heart and he was
scared. I'm watching it
as if I was watching a boxing match
and I'm saying, okay, game one
they came out, they jabbed you.
Okay, game two, you got jab again.
Not when you get hit with the upper cut and you get hit with overhand rights and body shots.
At some point, are you going to swing back?
Are you going to swing back?
At what point are you going to put your hands up and say, you know what?
I'm going to protect myself.
If I'm going to get my ass kicked, I'm going to get my ass kicked with me swinging.
At no point throughout the course of this playoffs did Chet swing.
I was over the fact after game two that he was.
wasn't going to try to guard wimby.
Okay, kudos to Azele Hortonstein
and Jalen Williams. But then
when the Spurs started disrespecting
him by putting
smaller guards on him
offensively, and he
couldn't take advantage of that. And then
defensively, it wasn't just wimby
every now and then that was either putting him
on the poster or taking them to the basket
when he did guard him.
It was the smaller guards that was tomato
chest in him and putting them
in the basket. And I'm saying to myself,
I'm like, damn, Chad, you're a first time all-star.
You're a third team all-NBA.
And you go out on your home court, and you have two field go attempts.
Two, you have two field go attempts in zero in the second half.
And when SGA was looking for his robbing, no J-Dubb.
The point that you're not even being aggressive was disturbing to me.
And if I saw it, Sam Presti Damn Show.
saw it and the rest of his
guys saw it. Y'all remember
what happened in the locker room
when, I mean, the post-game interview
I think it was out the game for
when they asked SBA
about... How to get it more involved, yeah.
He was speechless.
Because he felt the same way I feel.
Not to that extent, but he's like,
damn, dog, you're going to come to play or you're
going to just continue to let them punk you?
Yeah, so I saw some, and obviously
your 15-year NBA vet and
love the game and live the game, obviously,
I saw some Ben Simmons situations where he was wide open, you know, there was a chance to go for it and instead just didn't want to.
And I think it ultimately comes from a lack of confidence, obviously, and in doing so not wanting to let everybody down.
But we all watch you now, and you're making $41.5 million next year, this better be a moment where, you know, like Chet learns from this and has to figure it out because Wembe's not going anywhere.
No.
No, there's not a moment where you learn from it because he didn't show the heart.
this like if he would have had the heart again you said we learned from it yes we all learned from it we need
yeah we learned and we saw something
no he can change hey he kibbles in bits
breakfast lunch and dinner all the way through he can find it he'll be good he'll be good again in the regular
season but come playoffs i'm not trusting that chat you're thank you chet you hear all this i hope
i hope he does too chat listen me too he ain't heard none of this no he's hanging out with that
this big gap guy probably
right now. This big
guy.
Gap big too.
Yeah, I was...
Oh, man.
Got a fight.
Chad, it did.
I didn't like...
I got uncomfortable.
I got uncomfortable.
Zero attempts in the second...
That's crazy.
But did you see he had some wide open from him?
That's crazy.
And then when he drove, he fell down
in front of one.
He made it even worse.
That's crazy.
We're talking about attempts in a game seven.
He had so much room.
I think he could have done
like one of those Steve Nash trick shots
and like made it in.
He always has room.
He can pull up at any point in time.
He can pull up a jumper.
Outside of Wimby, Wimby can affect anybody else in the court at any point.
All right, I'm going to get one.
I mean, to not even shoot.
If you go 1 for 15, it's just like, all right, you can learn from that, get better
to make shots.
To go one for two and not attempt in the second half, what did you lose by six, eight points?
He did that two rebounds.
Just give me 10.
It was good rebounds, but two rebounds, two blocks as well.
He's not getting paid to just feel rebounder.
Okay, okay.
Hey, check, good luck out there.
Come on, Chet.
Look.
Come on, Chuck.
Nah.
This is his last thoughts going into the offseason.
I think there's a chance he works on, you know, finding the dog mentality.
Are we sure that Wemmy wasn't born in the U.S.
and Chet wasn't born in France?
Oh.
All right, okay, all right, everybody.
It's all relaxing.
All right, hey, we appreciate that.
It's a good question.
That's rude.
Jack, good luck out there.
Wemby, thank you for allowing us to be a part of this.
And you, Perk, can't wait for the big announcement that you, us,
and many others are going to make here over the next 24 hours.
You're the man, Perk.
Uh-oh.
Oh, oh, I can't wait either.
I appreciate it.
Look at that.
Didn't give it away either.
And his shorts in his house.
Yeah, he doesn't have shirts on.
Didn't give it up.
Commando.
There is a chance.
Cheeks right now on chair.
Ladies of gentlemen, Kendrick Perk.
Hey, Perk.
Did you hear that shit?
He's the man.
If he thought that was bad for Tread Holmgren,
what they were doing to him on the internet
over the last 24.
I mean, it was hilarious.
It's not just against him, it's also for Wembe.
Yes.
So, like, he has to live in him getting killed
and the person who, you know,
he took a national world title from when he was 17
is just getting put in the...
Good memes.
And they're in the same.
They're going to be...
Oh, yeah.
Not going anywhere.
Chet's going to have to find that, dude.
He might be heading to Minnesota.
Get me out of the Western Conference.
Get me out of here.
What?
Is that what you think?
That makes no sense.
You're right.
He's going far east as he can.
Yeah, he might go to Boston at this case.
No, no, no.
That's what he means.
Yeah, right.
I mean, realistically, they might trade him to Milwaukee
with a couple first round picks for Yonis.
Seriously.
That is probably more likely.
SGA and Yonis?
Yeah, it would suck for everyone.
And then how Chris I get the ball?
Cruz I did. He was like one of 15 actually.
No.
At least he put it up.
At least he put it up.
Love Caruso.
And he will.
And he'll defend too.
Yes, he will.
Chet, learn from this, please.
You'll find it.
You can do that, I think.
I think you can turn it on.
I think it's something you can learn, a skill.
Locking in, you know?
A mentality whenever you need it.
I think you can learn it.
Much better when it comes naturally.
But he shall see the offseason.
Back on the other side, goodbye.
Sports are happening all around us, and we're incredibly lucky that we get a chance to chat about them.
The finals is for the NBA and the NHO, drop puck and tip off this week.
Tomorrow night, hockey says hello to Lord Stanley Cup's final.
Who shall take home the largest and most heavy and most drinkable trophy in all
of sport. Now the Walter
Cup up there in the PWHL
also has a nice
bowl or cup at the top.
The Lord Stanley Cup has had beers
chugged out of it for hundreds of years.
Every name etched in it,
graved in it, a celebration as it's
passed around from player to player,
coach to country to country,
continent to continent, all bringing one
thing, happiness. Because to get
to that landmark move,
you have to beat a lot of great teams.
The Vegas Golden Knights have only been a
franchise for about a decade.
They're trying to get their second one.
Come on.
They fired their coach with eight games left in a regular season.
Bringing an old season vet in torts.
He rallies a group of absolute
dogs.
To play their best puck. They knock off
the Colorado Avalanche who were supposed to be an
actual avalanche of hockey talent. They were
supposed to beat everybody. Instead, the
Vegas Golden Knights punched their ticket to take on
the Kaniacs brother, down in
Raleigh. The best barn in the league
with a team that is young,
and ready to win in Carolina for a fantastic group that is certainly worthy.
They'll have the siren cranking.
And I think I saw people working their jerking so that they can get that thing really humming to drop puck.
Congrats to hockey tomorrow.
And then Wednesday night, we find out if the alien can take down the mecca.
Think about Wembe and what Celebrity Row is about to look like.
You know, ever since the beginning of basketball, I feel like, you know,
players have been viewed as spectacles.
Every room that they walk into, they're taller than everybody else.
You can't help but look up when an NBA player normally walks in.
So all eyes are going to be on these people for a majority of their life to begin with,
let alone in the center of all of media, New York City,
with their favorite team, a team that if they were to win a title,
would potentially get statues on the top of Madison Square Garden for the rest of time,
not paying for anything anywhere.
Doing something for the city of New York,
the Knicks could potentially bring everybody together.
in a landmark celebration that would certainly be warranted of documenting.
And then Wembe in the Spurs, this could be the beginning of the end for everybody else.
Yeah.
If the Spurs win this one.
Yeah.
So young.
Bronze coming.
So young.
What do you do?
What do you do if you're everybody else?
You're trying to find another Wembe, I guess.
You're trying to find a team that is like perfectly humble to understand the reality of the situation.
Seemingly all old school dogs and very young, able bodies.
that could go on for the next 10 years in a coach that's willing to fight the other team alongside
of them. This could just be the beginning of what's about to happen to the rest of the NBA.
And I think we get a chance to recognize that unless the New York Knicks can obviously topple
this potential next star. I don't want to crown Wemby yet because I think he has to get crowned.
But let's remember, LeBron James made how many straight finals?
There's a tweet.
I mean, eight or nine?
Eight straight NBA finals.
Okay, he'd been in the playoffs, I think, for like 20 years straight.
He was the one that carried the playoffs.
He was the one that the NBA said,
hey, look what we got.
Wembe could certainly be that.
Oh, yeah.
He's taller than anybody.
He's a deeper thinker.
He's phenomenal at things that normal athletes are not that.
He'll sit down and beat you in chess.
He'll be able to talk about the universe.
I'm sure he's well-versed in many different religions
and different conversations and political stuff.
I couldn't even fathom how much he has done in that particular realm.
And then on a complete opposite side,
He will elbow you right in the throat.
He will absolutely elbow you right in the throat.
He'll climb mountains with monks while dribbling basketball
for hours and hours and months and months away from his family
to kind of lock in and learn a new thing.
This is one of the most interesting humans to ever be created,
and this could be the dawning of him being the face of the NBA.
It's an awesome time to be alive if you're a sports fan.
The Toxic Table is here at Boston Connor, at Ty Schmidt.
Ty, love the fever hat.
Love what you're doing.
Thank you.
Thank you. I'd love to see the girls kind of put it together a little bit better on the floor.
But when times are toughest, I said, okay, I got to dust this thing off.
I got to wear it today because we need unity now more than ever.
And I think that's getting lost on a lot of people.
Well, I think you were not calling for unity at all in the first hour.
You were demanding that the coach, I think his words were stand down.
I think is what you said to the Indiana fever.
Coach White is a phenomenal coach.
She is.
It has done great things for the Indiana fever and other places in W.
We're talking about an app.
And, you know, I think she's just trying to do some coach.
You know, and I think this is just competitive juices kind of flaring.
And obviously, we've seen things like this in the past.
Yeah, if she was a tennis player, she'd be breaking her racket.
Sure.
Yeah, she would be breaking her racket.
If she was a baseball player, I think we'd see her potentially, you know, some of this.
The amount of these.
Oh, yeah.
That she would do if she was a baseball player.
I think she just, I think that is the type of athlete she is.
Everybody wants to tear the fever apart right now.
They do.
They're saying that this is going to be the driving force.
Maybe this city that has gone a lot of investment into this fever team and what they have.
Because of.
Because of Caitlin Clark and how thankful they are, it does feel like times maybe not the best.
I appreciate you wearing the hat to get them back in good graces.
Thank you.
Just a little bump in the row.
We mentioned it.
Yeah.
And I came out hot just because I felt like everyone's attacking my fever.
And I didn't know what to do, what to say.
Obviously, we need coach white to stand down respectfully.
some aspects. But yeah, I'm not
above the hard coaching. Because
guess what? CC can handle it. She can't take it.
She knows she needs it. You can't be
showing up your coach like that on the bench. You just can't be doing
it. Oh, we didn't hear you say that.
Unless.
Unless
I like to say, okay.
Unless you've already put 30 in
or, you know, unless you're
absolutely out there just tearing it up. Then in that
case, Coach White, respectfully
sit down, shut up. I'm going to go out there and I'm
going to keep doing what I'm doing. Respectfully.
Yeah, respectfully. Of course.
It's just a little blip in the road.
I just don't want to see another season slip through the cracks for my beloved fever.
Are you a biased fan, do you think?
I see Iowa right in front of you.
Maybe.
But isn't every fan biased?
Well, right now we need good WMBA conversation.
I'm worried that we can't have it because you're just coming from a place of bias.
You're saying two different stories.
First hour was a little bit different than that.
There was no accountability for CC in that first hour.
Maybe he's coming around.
He kind of stood down a little bit, which I like.
He was a little more objective.
Obviously, he came in hot.
He was more biased.
and then obviously you thought about it.
It's all he talked about doing the break.
Thank you.
His beloved fever is just saying,
we've been seeing him wear this hat all season long behind the scenes.
Yeah, we got a front row tickets to every day.
Yeah, and I wish I could go.
I have a newborn, obviously, so I can't.
But, you know, so my seat in my house,
my fever seat is right in front of the TV and never stray from it.
You got a custom red and blue lazy boy has his exact same material.
Yeah, it's badazzled.
It's got the fever.
I'll take a picture everyone when I get home.
You have to sweating that.
Silk cold.
It's hot.
I didn't think about the W season being during the summer and having to sit in that thing,
you know, when I'm just absolutely cooking in there.
But, hey, guess what?
That's what you do for the love of the game.
One half of the hammer.
Cowboys, AP Ton is here.
Huge day, obviously, as we announced our partnership with Draft Kings.
Can't wait for that.
Exclusive markets, I think people are wondering what that could be.
Just now we got an announcement within the next 24 hours.
Wait until you hear what these exclusive markets are going to be.
I think it's going to be a good time.
Obviously, predictive markets are a thing now in our society, in our world where you would trade.
on whether or not something will happen
or your thoughts on something taking place.
It's obviously been something around the internet for a while.
Now it's coming into the more mainstream.
Now it's getting a chance to get more commercialized.
Now it's getting a chance to really enjoy the thought
of what friends have been doing for a long time in certain places.
I understand not everywhere in the country
just had a gambling mindset about stuff.
But I'll tell you what,
I'm not throwing something into a creek
without maybe something being on the line for a long, long time.
I haven't lived in a world without Italians or,
around me. A lot of them, so I think this has just been something that I have kind of
understood takes place. Now with gambling, kind of taking over the entire market, there's
obviously been a lot of different situations that have come from it, and we're in a transition
era as something becomes very nationwide and mainstream. But I think we are incredibly lucky to be
a part of the transition part, you know? Everything we're going to do is going to be, hey, let's
be smart about this now. Let's be smart about this now. Let's just enjoy this because it's supposed
to enhance the game experience. It's supposed to enhance.
sporting conversation. It's supposed to be a benefit as opposed to a downfall, and I hope we're
able to do that tone. And I know that you feel that way as well. That is what Hammer
Ta-t. Talks about basically every day. Yeah, obviously, I love it. And we are big fans of exploring the
space, and I know we will explore the predictive market space. It's just something that we're going to do.
There's going to be a lot of different things that we're going to do around that. And now that
Draft Kings has the super app, which has everything in one place, it's going to make it very, very easy.
Yeah, we should have fun. And this is not going to be the conversations we're going to have every day
because of this. This is just us
kind of explaining what's going on. And then
once Draft King just officially becomes
partner a show, we're going to have a blast. And we're very
appreciative of all the opportunities that they are providing.
You know, there used to be a time where we
where we
where we, where there was people taking bets on
things that we were
doing on the internet. Okay,
there was different things that were
happening. For instance, I go,
I want Bolin, live streamed,
and there was somebody taking bets on this thing.
and then I'd shoot NBA 3s, and then I go into...
Ski Ball.
Ski Ball at Chuck E.S.
As we would live stream it,
and it was just a series of challenges.
You know, obviously, that can't be something
that can become a thing,
but we can have that type of mentality
on how we can get it to officially be a market,
which obviously there has to be a fairness,
there has to be accountability.
We've thought of a lot of ideas
that these little markets are gonna be incredible.
And we're thankful for those opportunities.
We're thankful for Draft Kings,
and we're excited to get moving forward.
Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen,
is a college football national champion,
Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup winner.
Ladies of a. J. Hawker, how you doing, Paul?
I'm doing great. Good to hear Ty, you know,
was so up in arms over the Caitlin Cart situation,
but he was not sure if they won the game or not.
That was a bit surprising.
He said he turned it off.
He said he turned it off as soon as he saw that video.
Let's not completely ruin the fact that he has no idea what he's talking about.
He's talking about?
This guy has no idea what he's talking about.
He was head coach to stand down.
That's amazing.
Stand down.
and told her to look around.
She clearly doesn't know how to coach a superstar.
And that's all we got.
I just came off that position, so I can't point and say thank you.
But Tony's got opinions.
A lot of people shares.
They're my fever, too.
I'm always running a fever around here.
They lost to the Portland Fire, who are a good basketball team.
Kind of the Vegas Golden Knights of the League.
184.
Kathy Engelbert was so kind to us.
Did you guys see the box we got sent from the WMBA?
Yeah.
They sent us a box.
merch over here. We got there hiding boxes.
Right there, wide open.
Sorry, Tony. That was the kid. That was one
you couldn't just open it out. We kind of took.
We did. Oh, you snuck away.
We did do it behind there. I got a great shirt, good
pair of shorts, little vase of our thing. We appreciate
WMBA, but I do
like the thought that
Caitlin versus the WMBA
has now turned to also Caitlin versus
her own coach. And
hey, it's a trenches mentality out there for the
CC Mafia and
we'll see if it ends with her getting a title, which we
obviously hope she gets and an MVP and in good grace is where our team.
Keep her here.
We need her to stay here.
Good luck.
If we need to do a full.
Good luck.
Your property values is going way down.
No, it doesn't matter.
They already knocked down a jail to build up the Indiana practice facility.
It's still going up.
But I'll tell you what, if Caitlin Clark's not here for it, I do wonder about what
happens to those gigs.
I don't think everybody outside of Indianapolis fully understands what is actually happening
around the Indiana fever because of Caitlin Clark.
She's like the Beatles.
Like legit.
Actually.
Yeah.
They sell out the arena.
This is WMBA.
Sell it the arena.
And then they had to build an extra spot for people to do watchalongs outside so that they can still get the PACER experience.
And then afterwards they get, or the fever experience, sorry.
And the Pacers are only using the playoffs.
Caitlin's using it every single game.
I mean, it is, they're building buildings around because of her.
Yeah, Damner, everybody's biggest sellout for the WMBA is when,
Caitlin Clark was in town.
So what we're saying is when you see that video and everybody wants to say like, hey,
Caitlin needs to get it together.
We agree.
Like that's not how we would certainly design a WMBA superstar to be.
But like this is kind of who Caitlin is.
And Caitlin is very, very effective business-wise for the fever.
And she's also whenever she started making buckets, I mean, she's good.
But I also like that Coach White feels like she's got coach her.
Me too.
Because Coach White's like, hey, this is also my reputation.
I might get fired out of here, but at least they'll know that I coached.
Because this is like Bill Belichick saying I coached Tom Brady.
same way I coach everybody else. Not every coach is like that. So I think Coach White is
standing on business. Yeah, towards. Yeah. She's standing on business, I think, for who she is.
And then Caitlin, I think that's just who she is. I think Caitlin is going to be very pissed off.
I think she's going to, I think that's a part of her kind of the reason why she is who she is.
But it is wild that that is the storyline coming out. And I appreciate you trying to put the bed there.
Yeah, thank you. Someone's got to, you know, I mean, everyone else wants to just rain on the parade.
I simply will not let that happen. Let's not rain on any parades. Let's actually bring
some good vibe, shall we?
Okay.
Ponce has got Team USA about to win the whole damn thing.
Look, ever.
We had a scrimmage international friendly down in Charlotte where the balls weren't bouncing,
but the goals were scoring.
Team USA beat Senegal.
Senegal actually a good team.
Yeah.
Okay, actually a good team from my understanding, top 15 team in the world.
Christian Polisick has an apple, and then he has a goal.
First goal since 1999 for Christian Polisic is what they were saying.
But the captain, obviously, the old.
old captain of Team USA feeling great. Coach Ponce is on the sideline, dialing it up.
He has a full computer. He's drawing up plays during the hydration break. I mean, the boys are rolling.
Now, there was a rumor that he had signed a coach a team in Italy before the World Cup even started.
So then we're like, well, damn, so this is his, he's Aloha. Hello and Goodbye.
One World Cup and then he's gone. What is this all about? And then Gumpy says, well, hold the phone.
Who knows? This guy fucks around and wins a World Cup for Team USA?
We're just going to let this guy walk out of Team USA?
I don't know if that's necessarily in the best interest of soccer as a whole,
but also the way Ponch has been talking since the beginning is like,
USA is a place that creates greatness.
We need to live up to the standard.
We need some people that want to play for America.
That is all we want.
And it feels like Ponch has got dogs on the team.
We just beat Senegal.
Politic is scoring.
It doesn't have to be captain.
They got the big tall blonde kid doing that.
Yeah, Tim Ream.
Huh?
Hold on.
Are we?
I'm starting to believe.
Huh?
No.
What?
How much time?
Let's enjoy this win, guys.
Just, let's go one day and nine.
We meet Senegal on.
Number 14 team of the world.
Let's enjoy it.
Believe.
Let's not put the cart before the horse.
Then why are you raining on the parade?
Unfortunately, he asked me a question.
I can't see any lie.
He's got stayed on his baseball.
Is it because it's just a preseason game and they don't matter at all?
It's a friendly.
We won.
And look, you want them wearing preseason games.
You say, you want to win in practice.
If you're a competitor,
want to win everything. So let's just stay.
It's just be where our feet are. Let's not get it ahead of
all right. We're on defeat against Senegal.
We're going to the final.
Yeah. Okay.
I don't know what you're dying about.
We'll see you there, Spain.
You're screwed. Boom.
Everybody should be worried, I think, especially with how we're playing
and with how strong the MLSs.
Hell yeah.
That ratings were up a 195,000 percent.
Whoa.
That was not the right number.
It was a huge number, though. It was like
190%. It was massive.
Sock is. Holy hell.
Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Schaefter is reporting,
Miles Garrett has been traded to the Los Angeles Ram.
Wow.
Not just smoke.
What?
Holy.
Oh my gosh.
Jerryverse.
Wow.
Just a couple years into his career, as he was an emerging superstar for the Los Angeles Rams,
he will go to the Cleveland Bonds,
alongside a 2027 first round pick and other draft pick compensation.
still being negotiated to the Browns.
Los Angeles Rams,
Leson McVeigh, are not scared to make plays.
I mean, this has been something that they've been a part of.
They traded obviously for Matthew Stafford.
They get them in here.
They brought in O'Dell Beckham Jr.
They bring in Devante Adams.
They're not scared to bring in stars
and try to go ahead and win something
and sell the appeal of Los Angeles.
Vers was a young stud for that Los Angeles Rams team,
and now they bring in the man who has the most sacks,
ever recorded in one NFL season.
I love the move for the Rams.
Obviously, the Browns have had to say publicly a couple different times,
we're not trading them.
Now they have traded them.
And it's June 1st, 2026.
I assume this will be deemed a post-June 1 designation.
Yeah, because when they reworked his contract,
this was the day that it would,
similar to A.J. Brown situation,
this would be where they can do it and not destroy their cap and everything.
So all the reporting around the re-de-
due of the deal was accurate.
Yes.
Whenever they redid the deal, everybody around the NFL, us included,
were like, wow, that sounds like they're doing that to trade.
That sounds like they're trying to trade Miles Garrett.
Browns came out, not true.
We're doing this.
Not true at all.
That is not what we're doing.
And then here we are, June 1.
Bang.
We thought A.J. Brown would be the first one that we hear.
Instead, Miles Garrett, gone.
Debutt, your thoughts about the Rams.
I mean, I'm got smacked.
I'm gobsmacked.
This is unbelievable.
Now we have the raining.
MVP and the reigning defensive player in a year on the same team. So obviously they want to win.
They want to win again. You got staff for you drafted your future with Todd Simpson. But I mean,
for them to make this move at this point on both sides for Andrew Barry to trade them away.
You know, after what you did with Deshaun Watson and that's the aluminum. This is an unbelievable
move. Obviously it's put the Rams coming into the season. I don't know where they are in the
draft Kings market as far as being favorites to the Super Bowl. But I would assume coming into
the date, they were top three or four. Now I would assume this would bump them up to one.
They were one.
They were one coming in this?
Oh, yeah.
So, yeah.
This is an unbelievable trade.
Great move by the Rams.
Obviously, a great player in his prime.
I know we've never seen this.
The player of this caliber at this point in his career.
Was Reggie a trade or white?
Free agent.
Going to Los Angeles, too, like that whole storyline in of itself.
You know, like Miles Garrett, all-time leader in Saxon of season,
heads over to Los Angeles.
Matthew Stafford, who has like four different records, heads to Los Angeles.
It is like kind of storybook how this is all going to go.
do you immediately start shitting your ponds if you're in the NFC for the Los Angeles Rams for this year.
But what does this mean for the future?
I wonder what Sneed's saying?
I mean, but in history would tell us that it doesn't even matter because when they went all in a few years ago and won the Super Bowl and we thought like, okay, then they're going to have to pay the Piper at some point.
No, we are here now where they would have been in the years where they paid the Piper.
I believe the Super Bowl is at SOFI this year too, which is where they won their first Super Bowl.
So it's almost as if they're starting this trend.
Hey, every year that we have the Super Bowl in L.A., guess what?
going to win it. Yeah. We're going to be there. Sorry, Chargers. You are not the team of
L.A. We are. And that is going to be how it is forever. And granted, they now have
Miles Garrett, who's going to be the stalwart of their team for the next eight years. Also,
let's not forget they went and got Trent McDuffie and made him the highest paid
corner in the league too. So all in, like, it's unbelievable. And now on the other side,
you realize if you're Cleveland, you, Miles has been unbelievable for you, but he has not won
there with you. Now you have two first round picks in what's supposed to be a
incredible quarterback draft if this year's quarterbacks do not work out.
what are you saying?
I think it's both sides won.
Okay, but you're saying that the Browns
quarterbacks currently aren't going to work out?
No, that inevitably you think this was
a good trade for the Browns.
Wow.
Good for you saying that.
Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen,
Senior NFL insider for ESPN Adam Schaefter.
What up, Chefty, hey, big news, Mike Sheffty.
You knew it.
All right, let him go, Chef.
Go work, Senior.
Yeah, Senior had to get back in there.
Let the boys know.
Hey, this is how you do at the top of the food chain.
Okay, so tell me about Miles Gapton.
Garrett, okay, going to Los Angeles.
Whenever they redid his deal, however long ago that was, we all reacted the same way.
That seems like they are trying to make it more tradable.
They said, no, now we have it.
Has teams known that Miles Garrett was tradable as soon as that deal was kind of redid?
And how do we get here with the Rams, Shifty?
Well, there is a long, convoluted backstory to all this, which is obviously still being finalized.
but when the Browns redid Miles Garrett's deal,
there were people that suspected at that time
that this paves the way for the Cleveland Browns to trade Miles Garrett.
And I truly believe, I know,
that when the Browns redid that deal,
the idea was to reconfigure the way and time in which they paid option bonus payments.
Now, most fans don't care about when option bonus payments are paid,
but the way it was set up in Miles Garrett's deal was the 15th,000,
day of the new league year in mid-March.
They pushed it back to a week before the start of the regular season.
Once they did that, it created more flexibility to trade them.
And so that was a big deal to a lot of teams.
In fact, I had a couple of teams call me and say, they're going to trade them.
They're going to trade them eventually.
The Browns were adamant all along.
Like I told you an hour ago, we're not trading.
We're not trading them.
But the Rams began pursuing Miles Garrett.
They kept pursuing Miles Garrett.
They didn't stop pursuing Miles Garrett until they were eventually willing to include Jared
Verse in the trade.
Once Jared Verse got included in the trade, the Browns were interested.
Okay, we get a player now for the short term, and we get draft pick compensation including
a first round draft pick in 27.
That we can live with.
That we can live with.
And Miles Garrett's going to fly to L.A. tomorrow night.
The Rams are doing what they do.
If you remember, the year before, or the year that the Super Bowl is being played in SoFi,
they traded for Matthew Stafford that year.
And now, in the year that the Super Bowl is back at SoFi, they're trading for Miles Garrett.
Yeah.
How happy is Miles Garrett?
His girlfriend's from Torrance, California.
I can't only imagine what he's feeling.
Jared verse from Dayton, Ohio, born in Dane, Ohio.
We'll see.
You know what?
He's got a lot of leverage.
He's pretty becomes contract eligible.
Versus Palm versus Palm, the heart.
Britson.
Andrew Barry obviously had to get to deal to a place where he could sleep at night
for giving up Miles Garrett.
30 years old.
30 years old right now.
So we still got what, at least four or five more years.
Are they going to have to renegotiate his deal in L.A.?
How do you see that working out when he gets there?
I think it's going to be addressed.
The deal's going to stay pretty much intact.
You're going to adjust it, I believe.
I expect it to adjust it.
It's not going to be some huge razor new deal.
That's not going to happen, Pat.
All right.
We appreciate you, ladies gentlemen.
That's Adam Schiff, Gary.
Jay, he's 30.
We still got years ahead for Miles Garrett out there in Los Angeles.
I love this move for the Rams.
Now, granted, people are going to say draft capital and Jared Verse and player comp and
everything like that.
Andrew Barry is going to be judged off of all that type of stuff in the future.
But for me, I enjoy when a team says, I think if we have this piece, we win a Super Bowl.
What are your thoughts on Miles Garrett being that piece for the Rams?
Rams. Yeah, I mean, he definitely can be that piece. Miles Garrett hasn't shown any signs of slowing down either. That's the thing. A lot of times when older vets, and you can't call them older at 30, but they have shown like signs of possibly slowing down a little bit. I don't see that coming from Miles Garrett. I haven't seen anything on tape that would show me that. So I think it's a gigantic trade for the Rams. I mean, you're right, Miles Garrett's got to be juiced. I hope Jared versus excited Dayton Ohio kid. Like myself, I hope he's pumped to go to the Browns. I think he's going to bring a lot of juice. I think he's going to help that team. And they might surprise some people.
this year. But yeah, what a
blockbuster trading. And this is one of those
that could honestly work out for both teams. It really
could. It's unbelievable. Ram's line
goes from plus 800 to plus
650. Wow. Holy
That's a huge.
50 points for a pass rusher.
When they're already that short.
Like if it was like
plus 3,000 to plus 2850 is
one thing. But when it's 800 to 60, that's
even bigger. Well, think about the
D-LIN. That's Miles Garrett football, baby.
Yeah. Think about how good the D-Line was with your
Verse. That was the conversation last year. Hey, you need all those guys up there. You need the ones.
They still have Fisk from Florida State who they took in the first round. Young, I believe,
is still there. We talked about that as that's a big, big thing. And Jared Verst, as great as he is,
like, Miles Garrett is still the best in the NFL. So you add, you kind of swap those two out.
I mean, that is unfair. If I'm in the NFC West or the NFC, I am bummed out.
It's unbelievable. And no disrespect to Jared Verst at all. Great, great young player has
started damn near every game since he stepped into the league.
It's been impactful.
But for him to be the needle mover or the guy that gets this deal actually done,
that's still shocking me.
I would expect him and maybe still two or three first round picks we're talking about
because Miles Garrett can be in the conversation when he's done
of been one of the greatest defensive players of all time.
I know he didn't win, but when you look at his numbers and his like sack numbers and pressure
and all this shit, like he will be in that all.
conversation. So yes, Jared Verst is a very good young player. It shocks me, like what
Sheffty said, like, yeah, they re-did the deal, but once Jared Verst got to the conversation,
that really changed things. That's shocking to me. Yeah, they get a couple ones,
or they have a couple ones now for the next upcoming draft, and there's some other draft
compensation. They said still being figured out. So maybe there will be another one or a two.
Maybe that gets tossed in there that we can, you know, because they always have all the value
stuff on everything. How do you value a guy who needs a championship?
You know, like, that's what Miles Garrett needs.
And he knows that.
He typed up that thing.
It's not about getting to Canton.
It's about winning championships or something.
At one point, whenever there was like a leverage negotiation happening with the Browns.
So he understands he'll be judge off the championships in which he has won whenever he's done.
Now he has all the accolades.
Can he go get a ring?
Feels like the Rams might be the place to do it.
Congrats to players' perspective.
Congrats to Miles Garrett, man.
Yeah.
This is exactly what Matthew Stafford needed.
Cleveland to LA.
This is the exact situation
that Matthew Stafford was in.
Had all the accolades,
had everything,
just knew he was going to be judged
by the championships.
That's all anybody held over his head,
even though he had like the most passing guards
in a season,
the most passing yards over two seasons,
most passing guards over three seasons.
He played with a broken neck,
broken shoulder, broken ribs.
He was considered a guy by all football people,
but until he won championships,
nobody would take him serious.
So he gets straight to the Rams,
wins Super Bowl,
and everybody's like,
he's got better teeth,
but also he's deafened certified first ballot.
Hall of Fame are now. Miles Garrett's in the same exact situation. All the accolades, all the
sacks, all of this, most in five years, most in four years, most in one year, most in this,
just doesn't have a championship. It feels very similar. And he has an impact on a game that
I don't think I've seen live in some time. He took over a game against Indianapolis Colts.
Fucking guy blocked a kick. He got like 13, I don't know what it was. He took over the
whole game. The stadium was chanting his name. In our stadium, they were chanting.
The guy was everywhere. Sack fumble touchdown.
Right in front of us.
Yeah.
And then he blocked, I mean, it was, holy shit, this thing.
And now he's with the Rams, congrats to all parties.
Sorry, let's pivot away from that.
Let's go to Stanley Cup finals.
Ladies and gentlemen, a man that was supposed to be joining us a long time ago,
but a lot of news, a huge news breaks,
representing the NHL 18 year vet,
fresh off a great golf trip lad, from what I heard,
where he played like ass.
Ladies and gentlemen, Eric Johnson.
Yeah, Hornell.
Orno, what's going on, Paul?
Oh, not much.
Not much. Just, yeah, not a great golf game on Friday here in Cherry Hills.
A couple chunks, a couple tight rotator cups.
I need that shot of Toradole for my round on Wednesday, that's for sure.
Listen, with who you were golfing with, I think you should try to play well, you know,
because he will be certainly trying to win as well.
So maybe we get the Torado already for every single time.
You golf with the sheriff.
And also, let's start working on some rotation stuff.
I've been influenced.
Have you guys been getting your alga, been flooding you with daily movement?
people. Oh yeah. Yep. A lot of this shit, huh? We need to start doing this shit.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, really? Yeah, that's. Like jumping up and down, kind of bouncing.
All that. Yeah, let's open up the fucking thing. Yeah, okay. Right away. Shakra.
Do this one here too for shoulders. I think you do this for five, 15 seconds, five different rotations.
And then somebody will come to throw in all fours and they're doing Tybo basically.
How's that work? They said you do 20 minutes of this a day. You'll fucking feel better. It's like, I hope so.
Movement is medicine. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I'm going to say. At this one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, it doesn't help.
It doesn't help.
I've tried every witchcraft potion in the book.
It doesn't help.
Let me tell you.
Good to know.
Peace fine rotation, everything.
Doesn't work.
I'm done.
Thank you, Horne.
Thank you.
We don't have to try it.
No, I'm going to keep trying.
I'm going to keep trying.
Horno, let's talk about the Stanley Cup finals.
Obviously, you've been a champion before.
You've drank from Lordo's Cup at the very top.
Golden Knights feel like they are a wagon.
Hurricanes, obviously, have one of the greatest runs in the history.
of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
What should we be expecting here tomorrow
as puck drops for the Stanley Cup finals, Horneau?
All right, so this might not be
the sexiest TV matchup, right?
I think, you know, people think
when you hear Vegas, Carolina,
you might think like it's not a
made-for-TV series.
Sorry if I cut out there.
Must have paid the Wi-Fi.
Geez, Horn-R-N-R-R-No.
Perfect time out there on that.
Horn-Hourn-N-H.
A horse-chew.
his wires.
He could potentially have a horse that's kind of going a little rough shot, I believe.
Sure.
Yeah.
That would be the word.
Yeah, that works.
Hey, Hornow, we'll catch you tomorrow, Horno.
Yeah.
Get you tomorrow, Hornel.
Is Erick Donald coming out of retirement?
He should.
I'll tell you what.
Good idea.
Come back.
Can't stop thinking about that.
I can't believe that happens.
That is crazy.
What?
So allegedly, we're about to have a lot more information potentially from a friend of the program that might be plugged
in on the conversation.
A man that was flying coached one time with somebody that has
certainly close to everything that's happening.
We are cold calling Shregs, I believe, right now.
I tell you.
Because Shregs definitely knows how we got to this point.
And he'll say something as if it's so casual.
Well, we all knew like three months ago that the Rams were certainly offering a one,
but they were never.
He'll say something like that and we'll be like, Shregs, we didn't know that.
That would have been a cool piece of information to know.
That's the type of shit that these insiders,
conversationalists kind of just pick up naturally.
And then they don't know what's public or not yet.
So hopefully we'll be able to get Shregs to make everything kind of public.
We see it with AJ a lot wherever we're asking about Aaron Rogers.
And AJ says, well, what has been reported?
Because AJ's trying to figure out what he's allowed to say and what he's not allowed to say.
Shregs, I think, has a lot of that all the time.
Now we hope he'll be able to completely unload everything.
And this is your ladies and gentlemen joining us now, a flying coach, Peter Shreg.
Jay, Creg.
Shreg's, okay, so I was just kind of given the backstory on you, insider people,
have a lot of information, not allowed to say publicly,
and then something happens, you're finally able to kind of let us in on the details.
You're obviously very close with the Los Angeles Rams organization,
not the only organization you're tight with,
but obviously very close with that particular organization.
How did we get to Miles Garrett being a Los Angeles Ram,
Jared Verst being out the door,
and this historic trade happening here on June 1st out of nowhere seemingly shrinks?
They weren't going to do this trade on June 1st, Pat,
until they told Jared Verst the news.
So when it went public with Adam and Ian and Tom breaking it,
It was when they finally let verse the news, let him know.
They didn't want him finding out on Twitter,
and they've learned that before, whether it be the Jared Gough trade or some of others.
They want to talk to the player directly, and McVeigh is very clear about that.
But talks have been going on for weeks.
And I would almost say the selection of Ty Simpson and the hysteria around that,
there was always assurances that there was another deal that was going to be made by the Rams.
And that assurance is not just for the fans, but for the quarterback as well,
Hey, we're not giving up on this season for you.
Don't worry, you're going to get your money, which he did,
but we're also going to get you a premier, premier player.
And that premier, premier player is a defending sack champion defensive player of the year.
And the type of guy that they look at in the same conversation as Aaron Donald is that good
and what he can still do at this age.
And Munkin was giving you guys breadcrumbs throughout this entire process saying,
I never met him.
and I'd like to see him
and this was in the works
and I think both parties are very happy with the trade.
Brown's included as they continue to build around the future
and get piece after piece after piece
until they can drop that quarterback down at the QB1 spot.
Okay, so they've been talking for weeks
trying to get this done.
They've kept it quiet so that Jared Verst didn't find out on the internet.
He found out directly from the Rams.
When was Jared Verst a part of it?
Because I believe Schaefter told us that
verse being added to the option
was basically what kind of,
to move the needle for Andrew Barry to pull the trigger on the trade as a whole.
Was there other players being offered up?
Was that the first time a player got?
Like, how did we kind of get to that?
And when did the Rams find out that Verse was potentially going to be traded?
Yeah, and that's the hard part about this.
You give up a star player like Jared Verst, who's beloved there with the Rams.
But both sides had been talking, and I could say it's been weeks.
They've been talking for weeks.
And Verst was dropped in there at a certain point where the Browns couldn't turn around
and just say no to this.
So those conversations were had, and I could tell you, Barry and Sneed and McVeigh and Monkin and, of course, the ownership groups,
they have all been lock and key for the most part, saying we're not going to talk about this publicly until it gets over the finish line.
But in the last few days, it looked like the finish line was near.
And obviously Jared Verse was the tipping point where the Brown said, okay, in exchange we get a guy who is not only a top 20 pick who's gotten better every year,
but he could be a super talent in addition to a first round pick.
So this was one where I think the Rams were really pushing it.
The Rams were the ones trying to make it, and they continued to knock down those doors.
And then at certain point, the Brown said, yeah, this is the best player we've had on defense,
maybe in our team's history.
But in exchange, we get a guy who's younger, we get a fresh new start,
and with an entirely new coaching staff, well, okay, if we're going to make this trade
and we're going to do it and get him off the books and let him go pursue his Super Bowl dreams,
this might be the perfect trade partner.
Yeah, it's like an exact situation with Matthew Stafford.
The NFL obviously put out a stat sheet of Miles.
It's ridiculous.
I am.
It is absolutely ridiculous.
This is kind of what it was like with Matthew Stafford in Detroit.
You know, this was kind of very similar situation.
Had all the records, had all the stats, AP, this, all that.
Didn't have an MVP, obviously, so that was kind of held over his head.
But going to L.A. trying to chase a championship, will Miles Garrett do the exact same?
And, you know, this is interesting.
You talked about how when Ty Simpson got drafted,
There was also a mission by the Los Angeles Rams front office and McVade
to let Matthew Stafford and the fans know
that they're going to try to make a splash to try to win right now.
There was conversation allegedly about them maybe being in on AJ Brown earlier in its offseason.
Today was supposed to be the day that we talked about AJ Brown getting traded to the Patriots,
but are there any other teams that are potentially involved?
And does this mean that Stefan Diggs is probably going to end up with the Rams as what?
Like, how do you kind of view, are the Rams done making moves?
Do we know?
This was the big swing.
and I've been doing the Windy Fingers on every show.
I've been on saying, hey, McVeigh and Sneed are not done.
Demoff is not done.
Those guys don't sleep at night.
If you think there was taking Ty Simpson and saying,
all right, we're good to go for the start of the season.
You don't know how they operate.
This is uncover every rock of relief,
and especially with Stafford and his window,
that, hey, we're going to get him all of support.
I have not heard Diggs.
I have not heard, you know, Brandon Ayyuk.
I have not heard Dibo, all those names.
This was the primary move that the Rams have been focused on
executing and getting a once-in-a-generation-type player to go along with Stafford and that
offense. And that's in addition to bring it in Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson, of course,
in free agency this year and then the trade for McDuffie. Rams are ecstatic right now.
They hate losing Jared verse, obviously, but to pair Miles Garrett with a team that was knocking
on the door and was a couple defensive plays away from a Super Bowl last year, this is the move.
And anything else is going to be secondary. I've mentioned the Stafford part of it, because when
you have those conversations with Stafford, he could have lost his mind when they took a quarterback
in the first round. He didn't. And I think one of the assurances was you're not only going to get paid,
you're also going to get another player that's going to be a running mate that gets us over the top,
or at least we hope to this offseason.
Congrats to Miles Garrett getting into hopefully a championship conversation as well.
Is he still his Halloween set up in L.A.?
Oh, man.
Cool. Holy hell.
Do they both have to pass their physical shrugs?
We saw the max goreting situation.
All that has to happen, of course.
This is agreed to terms.
Like, Bunkin was talking, he was talking 45 minutes.
Putting his ankle in a blunder.
You say, I was okay.
You say he's throwing his leg over?
What?
Clamp that wrist and smash their rock against the feet.
He's from Dayton, Ohio.
He's from Dayton, Ohio.
You got to taste of L.A., and now he's got to go back?
Yeah.
Oh, boy.
Now, Dayton, Ohio, much closer to Cincinnati.
I was saying not that close to Cleveland.
Yeah, very far from Cleveland, but Ohio.
So Ohio guy.
He's not taking a hammer to his knee.
If he's smart.
I'm so sorry, Jared.
He should call Jared Gough and see how he was feeling,
because that gets pretty well documented.
And that worked out well for Jared Gaw.
And Munkin and MCDC,
kind of two pieces of a pod.
Exactly.
Hell yeah.
I assume Munkin called him wearing jeans in a three-size,
too big button down flip-flops with a blazer.
No, he might have any little.
Lofers on actually holding the old school just styrofoam cup of coffee, no coffee, no cream,
no sugar at all, gives him a call, you're going to love it.
We love you.
Did you happen to see Munkin did media like 40 minutes ago and he knew this was happening?
So he's dancing around.
It's worth watching now 40 minutes later.
They're asking him about Garrett is like, well, no player has been guaranteed to be on the
roster and it's like you could read through it a million ways in real time.
But now that you know what was happening, you go back and it's like, oh, Munkin's
been telling you this for weeks.
It's been telling you that this might go down for weeks.
He's going to go back into Cipher.
We love this guy.
We love this guy.
He walked in. They were cleaning up trash in the building.
I mean, he walked in.
Hey, this is the new head coach.
He came walking in.
Hey, how you guys do?
You got a pisser anywhere?
Right over here, you can do that.
Not a lot of fanfare.
They took him up to his office overlooks the field.
Just gloomy-ass Cleveland.
All right, nice.
Yeah, I was just in Baltimore.
I understand.
Get out.
All right.
See you later.
I love this guy.
Yes.
I hope it does well.
They don't know who their quarterback is, but they do know that Miles Garrett will be gone.
Okay, final question for you here, Shraggs.
Go ahead, DeBud.
Yeah, Shragis, on the bottom, if you pop that Shephty tweet up again on the bottom and says there's some other compensation draft pick-wise,
do you have any idea what that may be in the addition of obviously this 2007 first-round pick and Jared Verst?
I don't, and I'm going to let those guys be the ones to break it because they broke this one
and did a wonderful job teaming up and doing so.
I don't have the actual picks.
The key to me was the first, obviously, verse, and then Miles Garrett going to be wearing a Rams jersey when, by the way, Super Bowl is in L.A.
Monday night football, Weeks 2 and Wig 5 in L.A.
And of course, this is the city where Matthew Stafford and Sean McVeigh won their Super Bowl five years earlier.
Yeah, we hope it all comes to fruition for them.
We like whenever teams are super aggressive and make massive plays.
Okay, you don't want to get in the insider game.
We don't know if we're going to have to call you Lord or Duke in this entire thing.
We don't know what to change senior.
Happy, I'm happy to be a soldier, my friend.
Just on the front lines.
Little finger.
Respect.
Private Peter.
Yeah, private Shregs, ladies and gentlemen, that's him.
We appreciate you.
That was good news in there.
Weeks.
Shreggs, they've been doing this for weeks.
Yeah, how'd they keep it quiet?
I don't know.
That's because monkey runs a tight ship, dude.
There was a tight, tight ship.
God.
But how about L.A.?
Like, that's a lot of potential voices in it.
Well, we didn't know for,
a long time what they were doing behind the scenes.
Yeah, Todd Simpson.
Stuff that we now know,
Ty and...
Oh, yeah, and how about him telling Ty,
don't tell anybody anything?
Yeah.
That's what Lesh probably tells you.
He probably tells everybody, hey, don't even.
Everything that they've done.
You would still think something to this magnitude,
like someone would find something out.
Like, I mean, we're talking about a guy who is arguably
top five defensive player of all time when it's all said and done.
Like, it's crazy that nothing floated through the cracks.
Your hat with the way the light is hitting.
I know.
Is it blinding you?
It is.
That's kind of by design.
So all you're thinking, man, I got a fever and I just don't know what you do.
It's my design.
Yeah, it's a good hat.
It's a good idea.
Even the Stafford trade, no one expected L.A. in that one either.
There was not part of the rumors at all.
Think about how many people are down at that resort down there in Mexico.
Oh, yeah.
Honestly, there's a lot of people involved in all that.
Somehow they keep it quiet.
Mine in their business, not taking pictures.
But what does this mean?
Yeah.
What does this mean for Pooka?
What's this about, Dibat?
Do we?
That's not about Dibat?
But what does this mean for Pogo?
because we, once the JSA bill announced, well, over $42 million or something like that, reset the high receiver market,
we all looked at Pook and expected him to kind of be the next guy in line.
But now you go and get, obviously, Stafford, a short term, McDuffie, highest paid corner now.
Miles Garrett, highest paid pass rusher.
Yeah.
There's a salary cap.
There is.
There's a certain way to work it, though.
Sneed's been able to do it in the past.
We assume he'll be able to do it again.
Let's pivot away from the NFL in one of the biggest trades in history.
and let's go to the most electrifying night I've had in some time not watching hoop for hockey.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you're not paying attention to the Women's College World Series,
there is so much shit.
I mean, there is, last night, we had a bottom of the seventh.
Seventh inning is the entirety from UCLA.
Woolery is her name, steps into the batters, with a smile on her face, okay?
Smile on her face.
Down two.
One on.
last inning
million dollar pitcher
Kennedy
boom
gone bat flip
tie game let's go ahead and
round the we get extra
innings innings
innings Texas Tech
gets a huge win in a celebration
that was had by me
that I could not have expected
laying in my bed in Indianapolis
Indiana it's been electrifying over there
there's been some drama there's been some upsets
and there's been dogs across the board
joining us now ladies and gentlemen
a UNC alum and somebody that's on ESPN and ACC softball coverage every single year.
Ladies and gentlemen, Brittany McKinney.
Yeah, Brittany.
How are you?
Man, I'm great.
I still have chills from last night, though.
That was incredible.
Okay, tell me a little bit about this, because it feels like Texas Tech kind of employs
a different strategy than UCLA, certainly, but maybe everybody else.
So they got Kennedy playing like first base, and then they had Terry sick tats,
by that.
Sick tats.
She's pitching lefty in her entire left arm.
is just tatted up. I mean, it was
a spectacle. She came in,
obviously offered a different look, I guess.
Had Texas Tech been doing this all year, they got a two-pitcher
rotation? And then for UCLA,
did I see 190 pitches
or something like that from their pitcher?
And she was still hitting 70, 609,
70 way deep in there.
What is the pitching game? Some teams have one.
Some teams have a few. They keep them on the field so they can
rotate. I don't think I've seen anything like this before.
Yeah, I think that's a great
question, especially coming from the baseball side.
You see starters start the game.
and when they come out, they're done.
But in softball, we have a deep key flex.
So your starter can come out, but she can reenter.
And when Kennedy came back and re-endered,
after Terry came in,
then they just had Nysia play first base so they could bring her back in.
I mean, there was a couple of innings
where they both pitched a couple of times in the same inning.
And it's to give the hitters a different look.
I mean, and we talked about it the other day, Pat,
that two arms at this time of year are so much better than one
with all the offense and UCLA with, I mean,
what Taylor Tensley did throwing all those pitches. I mean, she has 33 wins on the season.
So she's been the workhorse all year. And it was a lot to ask of her. And that last inning
that she gave up those couple of runs, I think, you know, she was throwing hard, but just wasn't as sharp.
And for Texas Tech to be able to go back and forth with two elite pitchers, that was a difference.
Yeah, Kennedy comes in, by the way, in the middle of an inning, a seventh or sixth,
throws three straight balls. Terry had just done it. And it's like, oh, wait, did we just walk this thing in the bases low?
And then three straight strikes come right afterwards.
It was like, ooh, that was a good little story right there that was just told.
And then it happens again.
The final Ponchae pitch that she hits there on the bottom, two pitches beforehand called a ball.
Exact same spot.
It was called a ball like two spots.
I thought she walked her.
I thought she walked her right here.
Instead, it was a complete opposite.
I was hooked.
I was completely hooked last night.
Yeah, it was absolutely electrifying.
And it feels like there's a lot of moxie on these teams.
Yeah.
You got a lot of moxie on these teams, Conman.
Yeah, crowds are also insane too.
like even on that UCLA Homer to tie it.
That was awesome.
But to your point right there about the pitch is looking similar.
Is there any thought, Brittany, about like a possible ABS situation coming to softball
or at least college softball and baseball?
Is that a conversation at all?
Or are they just going to ride and die with Deons forever?
You know, that's a great conversation.
SEC tournament for baseball actually had ABS this year.
So it's the first time we'd seen it in baseball this year.
And I think it went well.
I think it'd be really good for us.
I think the more it's growing and the more people are invested and we saw how electric ABS created around MLB.
So I don't know if we're there yet, but for SEC baseball to do it in their tournament, I think gets the wheels rolling and the conversations to be had because there's so much on the line now with how big the sport has gotten.
Yeah, and the investment as well.
I mean, I only got to see Oklahoma.
I would assume that Texas Tech is doing the same, especially with the roster budget that they've kind of pieced together, bringing in multiple transfers.
I believe Terry was from UCLA.
Obviously, Williams was from Florida.
Kennedy was from Stanford or something like that.
It feels like there's a lot of investment happening in women's softball,
and every time I watch it, I enjoy it.
And I like the storylines.
Go ahead, Todd.
Yeah, Brittany, is that maybe one of the –
it seems like Texas Tech is kind of rubbing everybody the wrong way.
We saw what happened against Florida and the regionals,
and then there was the big brouhaha with Tennessee about the handshake line after the game.
Like, are they kind of the villains of kind of?
college softball right now because of their willingness to use NIL and they like to have a lot of fun.
They flaunt it. They have a lot of moxie. Like how do you think people should look at this Texas
tech team? Because it does kind of seem that they are at the center of every kind of controversy or
whatever you want to call it in softball right now. You nailed it. They are. And they,
their head coach Jerry Glasgow said, hey, we'll be the villains. That's fine. They're embracing this
role. And you know, when you get three All-American transfers in one year,
and see a team invest in softball financially like Texas Tech has,
people aren't going to like it.
People are not going to like when somebody has something that you don't have.
And you know what?
They do have the moxie, the swag.
They're not going to back down from anybody.
They're going to speak their mind.
They're going to show it on the field.
And, you know, if you can back it up and win ball games,
be the villains, be what you need to be.
But no, not everybody likes it.
It's not everybody's cup of tea.
But it does mix for some fun storylines and exciting games.
It's good for softball, though, if anybody's investing in it,
the more investment, the better.
Obviously, eyes can follow all that.
Let's go back to the brackets right there
because Tennessee, Texas started at noon.
I guess Texas is up 4-1 in the 6th right now as we are live.
This is the live...
I mean, that was a live look.
Perfect ball card.
I mean, geez, Louise, that was unbelievable.
So that's taking place as we speak.
And then I think something that's interesting
that we also have to revisit is the one-loss bracket down there.
So if you have one loss, you go back.
into the tournament basically.
And then if you make it to the finals,
it's just best of three.
Everybody's slate is clean through that entirety.
Yeah, the champ series
is a best of three.
But right now with Texas and Tennessee,
Texas, they win this game.
They're going to have to beat them again
in 30 minutes after this game.
So they're hoping for two games today.
But it's hot in Oklahoma right now, Pat.
I mean, it is hot and humid.
It's a long day.
But Tennessee did not start Carlin Pickens,
their ace.
And I think they're kind of kicking them.
They didn't go to her earlier
before Tennessee grabbed four runs on them.
But maybe saving her for game two because it's so hot.
I don't know.
It's hot in Oklahoma.
In the action, he's electrifying.
We appreciate the hell out of you for covering it.
We can't wait to watch it.
And when's the finals?
So tomorrow is the off day, then the finals will pick up after that.
So no softball tomorrow.
So enjoy it today.
Get a little rest tomorrow.
And then you can get back on it.
Okay.
But I do have something for you, Pat.
Congratulations on the Draft Kings thing, but I need some better softball lines.
Okay, no, that's, you need to take advantage of their softball lines.
So this is what this is we just have money line right now.
You need more, you're saying.
We need run scored, everything like that.
Strikeouts.
We need more in the softball world, you're saying.
Yes, yes.
Deal.
Please, gentlemen.
Brittany McKinney.
Yeah, Brittany.
AJ, softball is electrified.
I don't know if you got to see it this week or weekend while you're working with your bees.
which congratulations.
By the way, I've heard your beehive is certainly swarming
and building maybe a beautiful little environment around the hawk house.
I saw your youngest boy didn't even have a suit on,
just walked right over.
He's so comfortable with these bees now.
So can you give us an update on your once feral wild swarm that is now?
They're doing.
Got to let them build.
Got to let them get strong.
That's what I'm doing.
Had to inspect him about four or five days ago.
I'll be back out there in a couple of days to check it on.
I'm hoping I can find the queen and I can mark her.
That's a big thing.
If I can find her,
I can isolate her, put a little mark on her back.
So she's easily, easily to find, I guess, every time I would go in there.
Like a Sharpie?
Are you going to put like a GoPro on?
Like a little paint.
I'm not like a paint marker.
Yeah, I'm going to go pro and I'm like that cool video of the crap
going under it because that was super real.
That got me.
I was down in there, bro.
And then they'll put one on like the back of a jungle cat in some of them.
Man, it feels good to be down in there.
Oh, yeah.
Turns out it's not real, but we can still say it is.
You go ride the Avatar ride down at Disney.
feels like you were in.
Pandora.
Pandora.
There it is.
It feels like it was.
We have another breaking news
coming out of the NFL.
Now the Giants have officially announced
that they've signed all three guys.
Ju-Ju-Smiths.
Jou-Smiths, Mr. Schuster,
is a member of the Giants.
O'Dell Beckham Jr., member of the Giants.
All three of them were working out.
It was originally reported
that Braxton Berrios were signing with the Giants,
so some might, and ourselves,
including him, I say,
well, congrats of Berrios.
He kind of won the workout.
Then O'Dell Beckham Jr.'s back in town.
Holy hell, that's gigantic.
And now Juju Smith-Schuster also in that locker room.
That locker room, we think, is in a great spot after going through a little bit of adversity,
having to have conversations with each other, learning about each other quickly in Harbaugh's culture.
You've got a Brian Burns' a celebrity softball game.
This might be the world's team, not just the Giants.
It's a beautiful thing happening over there.
Bruce, are you guys just signing everybody that we've heard of?
I like what we're doing in the big time.
Anybody that can run down the first baseline has a chance to join our wide receiver room today.
you know, it might not inspire confidence in Malik Neighbors Week 1
availability very much at all.
But we're going to have people. We're going to have Barry Osage Zero.
We're going to have Juju and, of course, OBJ coming home.
Okay, so I love that.
I love the Malik neighbors going to first base.
Wasn't just us that said, well.
Yeah.
What, though?
Sign everybody.
Yeah.
All of them.
Tell you why, eight years ago, that a bit.
Can't let him play.
You got to have a pinch runner for him.
Eight years ago, they, what was that?
They should have announced this maybe on Thursday so we could have a throwback Thursday day.
Juju, O'Dell Beckham Jr. coming back, that would have been a sick thing if they would have thought about content first before, like, building their actual roster.
But if Juju can get you a first down, which we know he can.
Yes, definitely.
And if O'Dell Beckham Jr. can make a couple of high-ease down the red zone, which we know he can.
And if all of a sudden Braxton Berrios can become the guy that we all hoped he could become.
A zero.
Maybe Jackson Dart has the greatest year of his life.
Maybe this is the giant Super Bowl run.
And maybe today is the day we'll look back on and say,
That was when they did it.
When Scataboo did the backflip, and Malik neighbors couldn't get the first base.
And Jackson Dart hits an absolute dong shot after dapping up Abdul Carter publicly.
That was the day in which the Giants became Super Bowl champions.
Wow.
Congrats to you guys, Bruce.
Congrats.
June 1.
Your luck with Miles Garrett and the Rams.
Same day as our Draft King's announcement, the Giants did it.
Yeah.
Miles Garrett.
Wow.
Traded to the Rams.
We'll obviously continue to chat about that.
Who knows who will get on the phone.
Cannot wait to follow up.
We'll also be making our picks for the Super Bowl here 100 days out.
Tell friends something nice.
It might change their life.
Draft Kings available nationwide.
Goodbye.
Mid-sentence nationwide rhymes there with all the others.
That's perfect.
Had to drop it in there.
It is available nationwide.
For some of our, I think for our first market we're going to create, I think there's like
three states that are like, no, we're not going to prove that.
We can't.
So we got to earn trust, I believe, once again, with the market makers through the special
events that we're going to be doing.
just know they're going to be a good. Hey, come on. We've been cooking over here.
1,205 days. We've been kind of watching everybody else kind of do their stuff.
We've been kind of cooking over here. We are very excited to hopefully make sports better.
That is the only goal of this entire thing. And get some cranks.
All right. Let's take a break on the other side. We'll wrap up the glorious overreaction Monday, June 1st.
So many news and subjects. Let's get on the horn and see who we can talk to that has more information on what just happened with Miles Garrett.
being traded in the middle of his prime
to the Los Angeles Rams.
Holy fuck.
Is A.J. Brown getting traded?
We shall see.
Be your friend, tell a friend something nice.
Might change your life.
Take five.
Five.
Are the absolute greatest, that's A.J. Hawk.
The toxic table's here at Boston Connor and at Ty Schmidt.
One half of the hammer.
Cowboys AP tone is here.
A.m. Year NFL vet.
Darius J. Butler is here.
Where the fuck is all this money coming from
from the NFLPA?
Hey, this is, they paid the ex-head guy who ended up leaving,
and there was a lot of things being said, obviously,
about his tenure at the helm of NFLPA.
He got paid like $7.5 million or something like that,
the head of the NFLP.
That's a lot of money.
That's a lot of money seemingly for the head of a union.
That came out in federal filing.
And it also came out, Shador Sanders,
got paid $17.7 million from NFLPA.
This is obviously the record,
the most amount of money that's ever been,
given from an NFLPA licensing deal, I guess.
You know, they said a trading card deal potentially built up half of that, okay?
The other $8.7 million or whatever the case would be,
would still be like top two, three all time in the history.
Travis Hunter had 12.8 million, I believe, in this entire thing.
Tom Brady had like nine something.
So that's like the top of what NFLPA checks have been in the past.
Where's, that's a lot, the NFLPA is driving a lot of money.
That is an incredible business model.
How much of the NFLPA makeoff it is?
If that's what they're given to Shador,
and where is this all coming from?
I love it, to be clear.
But I have no idea where this money's coming from.
I'm very pumped up about the future of the NFLPA
if this is going to continue to be the case.
No idea, especially because he wasn't top 10 in Jersey sales.
I could kind of understand, or at least you could get there maybe,
if he was like the number two or three overall selling Jersey,
but he wasn't in the top 10.
You mentioned it.
I think it was 9.9 or 9.8 million from Panini of America.
and then the other things that were mentioned in there were like Madden,
the NCAA game was mentioned.
And then that's not even including his other endorsements.
Like I don't understand how someone who didn't really kind of make any headway in the league just yet.
Has that means a fucking needle mover, man.
He definitely is.
We are huge fans of Shador.
We love the Colorado story.
I love transferring in, obviously going to HBCU with your family, putting everybody on.
I'm a fan of Shador.
That is a lot of money.
I'm just saying if the NFL PA is generating that amount of capital just for one player who is not the star of the league.
He's one of the stars, but not the guy.
I mean, if the NFLPA is able to generate that type of money, that's good news for the future of the NFL.
And for the athletes of the NFL, if the NFL is also activating or acting as like an agency arm for you, bringing money in.
It's like if that's one player, that's Shador Sanders.
It's crazy to think if they were able to
what they'd be able to do with Mahomes
or Kelsey in this world, obviously, with how
sellable he is. That was just a
huge, I was, to take your word from really.
I was gobsmatched when I saw that amount of money
because I'm like, where's it all coming from? And is this going to continue?
I was too. And you saw his college teammate,
Heisman Winner Travis Hunter, been in number two
with the crazy number as well. But that was, to see
$17 million was insane. I mean, he was
clearly by far, in my opinion, the most
popular player from his draft class for a number of reasons. People hated to see him, hated everything
about him, and then people loved him, loved everything about him. Obviously, he didn't make the headweight
on the field, didn't play a ton until the end of the season. But that was insane. I am interested,
like you said, to see where the breakdown or how the breakdown really is. All I care about is that he's
getting the money that he's because every time, you know, the NFL wants the draft happened. I mean,
I felt like every other post of theirs was about Shadour once he started.
play. It was about Chador, you know, a lot of the conversation throughout training camp,
his reps, so all the things. So I'm glad that he actually benefiting it financially from it.
But I'm definitely interested to see the actual breakdown. Like you said, yes, does bow well
for the future of the NFL when it comes to players and bringing in this type of money.
Yeah, it's kind of all listed out publicly, I guess, in a federal filing. It just says royalties
and player marketing. One of them, though, is for $9 million here on 2025, May 16th. We assume that one would
be the card pinini one that was in there.
There's a couple other million-dollar ones that just say royalty marketing, June 27,
2025.
That one might be the NCAA Marchman or video game cover.
It's all before the season he kicked off.
Yeah, congrats to him, man.
Congress to him.
And is this going to continue to be something that is happening from the NFLPA to its players?
And if that's the case, that's great news, AJ.
That is phenomenos.
And I think that's the best usage of the NFLPA as well.
if they become a money generating arm for the players.
They've got enough people sitting in suits in an office.
Can somebody think of some ideas to generate some capital for these players?
Feels like they're doing that, or at least on the verge of doing that, AJ?
Yeah, it seems like they're on the verge of it.
This is a great thing, I think, moving forward.
It would be interesting to see, like, next year who gets the most from these group licensing agreements.
And yeah, I think a big chunk of it is the guaranteed for the trading card situation,
but still $17 million in one year.
If that's the case, how much did he bring in?
because we know, like, there's not a 50-50 split, I'm guessing.
Like, players aren't getting 50%.
I doubt it when it comes to a marketing situation.
So he had to bring in a ton of money for him to actually receive that much.
Yeah, and how the NFLPA go about getting that much money, you know?
So that means somebody had a vision of plan, enacted on it, executed it,
and both sides were able to win.
If Shador is getting 17.7, we assume the NFLPA is going to be getting a lot of money as well in this entire.
Yeah, how was it set up?
And I know you were more into it than we were as players.
How was this set up when we were playing with the NFLPA?
I know you had your gripe, you removed yourself from, you know, like the PA as a whole.
So what was this set up now?
Just such a small percentage.
Like, whenever they were selling things, it was just, they undercut, they undercut my entire merch company.
And we're like marketing under it.
And the amount of money that I get from me selling up my own shirt, basically,
versus what they were giving.
It was just such a small percentage.
But there's no way that that small percentage would be $17.7 million.
So they had to have a different deal with Shador.
And AJ, you said it can't be 50%.
Maybe it was.
I, we have.
I guess I could.
I guess it could because it is the PA.
But yeah, I would be surprised that players are getting that big of a percentage.
But 50% for an agent is absurd.
Nobody should ever think that that is acceptable in any world.
But for a players association, if they're automatically getting deals
in deciding to give them to people, you know, that's obviously a reason why they would
give the large percentage if nobody else could get the deal.
That's a lot of money.
Yeah.
I don't understand.
It makes no sense.
Hey, who cares?
Hey.
But it's so cool.
Hey, who cares, Shador?
Good luck out there.
Hopefully that's the standard going for.
Yeah, exactly.
Legit.
And congrats to Shador and to Travis Hunter.
And thank you for what you guys did for Ball.
You know, they were topics and conversation for all of us throughout it.
A lot of money.
Tom Brady and I, he was the most handsome guy on Earth.
I mean, it's basically like he went first round.
Like a lot of people expect him to go.
I saw a tweet saying like it was Golden's basically his contract or maybe more.
and his total contract.
So it's like, you know, obviously he went fifth round.
A lot of people expecting to be a first rounder.
So that money, he still recouped a lot of that money.
So, I mean, much more than like player,
what was you called player performance checks?
Well, like, you get drafted in fifth, six or seventh round,
but you end up being a starter and then you end up earning maybe a couple million.
But to get 18 million, like insane.
So player performance might be a huge part of that.
If that would count towards this, which I don't think I saw it in there.
I saw royalties marketing there.
player performance, I don't know if that's from NFL or NFLPA.
I don't know.
I had good player performance is good for me.
AQ Shipley.
A.A. Adolf.
Purdy.
Purdy's contract doubled because of it, but it's still only $2 million, I think.
Yeah, I don't know if player performance would count towards this anyway.
Whatever.
Hey, Shadour, congrats.
I hope this becomes a thing for all players.
If your union can generate that type of money for players,
whenever you go into a potential work stoppage, boy, that makes everything a lot better.
And if you're forward thinking like that, trying to make money for players, we like that as well as we look ahead to a potential never having a work stoppage again in negotiation.
The player performance bonuses came out in March.
Nashon Wright, the corner for Chicago had 1.4.
He was the highest.
Okay.
So does this count?
I wonder towards it?
I don't know.
Crazy.
Congratulations to the world.
We appreciate that.
We're 100 days out from the NFL season starting.
Holy hell.
Here we go.
What was it?
Last Sunday was the Midway Sunday.
Where the amount of Sundays from Super Bowl versus kickoff?
Sunday is now we're on the back
night. We're on like the fairway of the
ninth hole right now. Correct. Okay, when it comes
to the amount of Sundays. Yes, it does sound good.
Yeah, we're starting to get a little lubed up.
Sounds good. We got final. We got NHL finals.
We got NBA finals. You know,
there'll be some dark days in there, but it's
this sounds good. You know what? That's July. Who cares?
You're right. Because of how good we feel?
Why don't we make our Super Bowl champion
picks right now?
Yeah. Right now. We will stick to
these. We will stick to these.
I remember mine from last year, don't you?
Yeah, you picked the...
I remember my...
Whoever won the Super Bowl, I'm pretty sure I had that matchup.
Yeah, and...
No, I did that.
I said that, because I said Schneider's the man.
I know him from my Packer days.
That's what I said.
I said, Sam Darnold football gods.
He kick him out of Minnesota.
He's certainly going to reap the benefit of that type of karma.
And he did with Seattle become Super Bowl champion.
But here we sit.
A hundred days out.
How do the odds sit?
Well, one has changed from plus 800 to plus 600.
over the last hour.
The Los Angeles Rams are your Super Bowl favorites at Draft Kings.
Now, they were at plus 850, our 800, I think.
Then they dropped down to plus 650 as soon as the Miles Garrett bet gets mentioned.
Then I assume a lot of people get in there and start hammering at 650.
It goes down to plus 600.
200 points of favorite movement because Miles Garrett ends up with the Los Angeles Rams.
That has to be some sort of record.
I know Miles Garrett won't be able to publicly celebrate this,
but Miles, you should know
that's a fucking huge deal.
That is the sports book saying.
You're a defensive player that has that big of an impact on the team.
Exactly.
It's crazy to think about.
Quarterbacks.
I don't even know there's probably a handful of quarterbacks
that would have this type of movement in a positive direction.
We've seen negative.
We've seen it go the other way whenever trades happen.
For it to be a 200-point swing to the Super Bowl favorites
because you get Miles Garrett, absurd.
Now, let's put it.
who we think is going to be winning the Super Bowl.
Okay.
Let's go to one half of the hammer.
God!
Cowboys AP tone, 100 days out from the NFL season.
Who's winning the Super Bowl on this June 1st?
I have the Rams playing the Houston Texans,
and I have the Houston Texans winning the Super Bowl.
Holy fuck!
Don't know!
What did you do it?
I did not see that coming.
Congratulations to the plus 1,700 Houston Texans
on getting a nod from an AP NFL vote.
NFL voter AP Tone.
Holy hell, what do you like about him?
Well, I like what CJ has done this offseason
versus last offseason when he was touring the world
with Michael Parsons and talking a lot.
He's really just gone to work.
He's been in the gym.
He cut his hair.
I like what they did with their offensive line.
Brought in David Montgomery.
And the defense only got better
and they were the best defense of all time last year.
So I like the Houston, Texas.
I love the Houston Texans getting a Super Bowl bid from AP Tone.
Let's go to the talks of table.
At Ty Schmidt, who's winning the Super Bowl, 100 days out.
I have the Packers defeating the bills in the suit.
Really?
Yeah, and I think it's just time the Packers got to go.
You already pay Jordan Love.
You've got Micah Parsons, obviously.
They need to kind of just weather the storm if he is going to start the year on PUP,
but they kind of shured up the defensive line where they were very thin last year.
After he got hurt, they were basically fucked.
They used their draft capital this year on a cornerback to kind of get that situation cleared up.
And it's kind of just go time.
This has been one of those teams where, hey, they're super,
young, but when, you know, they're playing well, they're one of the scariest teams in the NFL.
I'm tired of hearing that. Now you need to go out. You've got to win a playoff game, and you've got to
get hot at the right time and go win a Super Bowl. And I think if Michael Parsons is healthy,
if Jordan Love stays healthy, I think they can do that.
Okay, Packers, that doesn't seem like a biased pick at all. What if they don't win?
Jordan Love is another year in his contract. LaFleur, obviously more comfortable.
You've already traded away a lot from Michael Parsons. What if the Packers are third or
fourth in the NFC normal?
Well, you know, I think if they're third,
I think they still probably make the playoffs.
And they're still in a window.
They're still very young, but you can only say that for so long.
Like they need to go win.
Let's go fucking win.
Goopack goal.
I can't wait.
This just reminded me what the season is like.
Yeah.
Healthy Tucker craft, too.
That was very healthy.
Yeah.
Okay.
Micah stay healthy as well.
Obviously, it could be a game changer.
Conman.
Who's winning a Super Bowl?
Kind of different than Ty.
Not a biased pick at all.
I got the New England Patriots.
beating the Rams actually.
Not biased at all.
Not biased at all. Strictly ball.
Strictly ball. I mean, if you look at just the numbers,
okay, Drake Maynard's third year, second year in Josh McDaniel's
offense. Word on the street is, yeah,
it looks pretty good. They revamped the O line.
They're going, they already got Romeo Dobbs.
They're going to get A.J. Brown. Expect that plus 1,600
to move maybe to plus 1,500 after that happens.
And then when you're just talking to-
Maybe, I don't know, dude.
We'll see. Miles Garrett moving 200 is very abnormal.
It's a very abnormal thing to happen for these odds.
Yeah, no doubt about it.
I just think that with that wide receiver court between those players.
And then when you just look at the team last year,
we actually were fourth in rookie snaps in the entire NFL last year.
And then what happened?
We still went to the Super Bowl.
Another year in the system.
And then the Rams.
You kind of get the battle of the MVPs next year.
Hey, who should have won the MVP last year?
Drake Mayor, Master Afford was proven in the Super Bowl.
And I truly believe that New England Patriots can do it.
So they're both going to have back-to-back MVP seasons?
I believe so.
Yes, I actually do.
Wow.
What a delight that would be for us.
I think it's going to be remarkable
because if you just look at the Rams,
they had a lot of young talent on offense.
So Pooka Nakua probably got his stuff together.
I think we all believe that.
They had a tight end.
They drafted in the second round from Morgan.
I think Ferguson.
Yeah, Terrence Ferguson.
He's probably going to get even better
in them with New England.
Another year in the system, we always talk about that.
Love that the toxic table is not biased at all, A.
No.
Not biased at all.
Just strictly talking ball over there.
All ball.
Plus 1,700 odds for the Packers,
plus 1,600 odds for the Patriots,
plus 1,700 odds for the Texans and Tones pick.
Let's get a nine-year NFL vet, Darius J. Butler,
100 days out from the season.
Who's won in the Super Bowl?
Well, everybody knows I got a bunch of teams
that I pull for and root for,
but I actually won't be biased to any of those teams.
But I also won't go out on a limb either.
Last year, I think my preview was the Ravens over the Eagles,
and I think they were both in those top row.
And right now, both of my picks in the Super Bowl
being from that top row as well,
it's going to be the Ravens,
who I had coming in this morning.
This is my Super Bowl champs, but now they get beat by the Los Angeles Rams after that trade.
The odds changed.
My mind's changed as well.
You got reigning MVP.
You got the reigning defensive player the year.
You traded for Trent McDuffie.
I mean, they're all in.
Obviously, you know, Stafford, you can say what you want to say.
And he said all the right things when it comes to Ty Simpson.
Coming off in MVP season is hard to find a little more motivation.
That's a little more motivation.
Miles Garrett chasing a ring.
McDuffie already has a couple of rings going to get another one.
I think, I mean, it's great.
And in the Ravens, I think, you know, Lamar, it's his third OC now.
The previous two OCs, won MVPs of both of them.
Had probably his worst season as a starting league last year.
I think he bounces back in a major way with Declan Doyle calling the shots on offense coming from Ben Johnson system.
So, yeah, I like the Ravens to make it there, but to get beat by the Los Angeles Rams.
Did you imagine mentor in his first year going to Super Bowl?
Yeah.
Ravens fans would be so pumped they moved on from Hardball.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God, that'll be a celebration over there.
And if Lamar plays the way we think Lamar can play, maybe he's in the end.
MVP conversation as well. I love these picks. I love where we're at. Hey, you know, a nice little
slew of teams that could potentially be involved. And that's what June 1st is all about.
AJ, no biases. Who are you picking to win a Super Bowl? Yeah, no biases. So I do not have,
I've played for the package for nine years. I did not put them in the Super Bowl in this early,
early prediction. So I would love for them to prove me wrong and get there and find a way to win it. That
would make me very happy. But you can check the timestamps before Miles Gary got traded. I texted
a deboner and I told him my pick for the Super Bowl and I had the Buffalo
Beals taking on the Los Angeles Rams and I actually picked the bills to win this one.
Okay. But now that Miles Garrett's with the Rams, do you want to flip-flop back over?
You know, he can maybe handle Josh Allen on the biggest stage.
No, maybe ask me like in August or maybe after the first couple preseason games
if I want to come back to. But right now, I got the bills beating the Rams in the Super.
I know the bill is what they had a second round pick. They picked up Parker to Edge guy from
Clemson. I think he's explosive.
Debutt, they got your guy Skyler Bell from
Yukon, the receiver in the fourth round.
Like, he's going to be a breakout star.
So, yeah, give me the bill.
Okay, I love that you have the bills.
And I like that you're saying,
let me see Miles into pads first.
Because once you see him, you know, him.
No, no, I just need some more time to digest the trade, I guess,
is what I'm saying.
Even though I had them before Miles,
yeah, I guess I'm going to stick with that,
but you know, you never know.
As soon as we see this guy in these pads.
And think about Stafford trying to impress
Miles, Miles trying to impress Stafford, let alone Miles trying to prove himself to an entire new
building already. You know, that's just something that's naturally going to take place.
They're all going to make each other better.
Yeah.
So give me the Indianapolis Colts winning the Super Bowl.
Yeah.
Okay.
Over the Seattle Seahawks.
Oh, back to back.
I think people forget about the Seahawks. We haven't really talked about them.
I think they get a huge NFC championship win over the Rams.
I think it is a hard breaker.
Now, that is 100 days out.
And just like AJ, I do reserve the right to be able to see Miles Garrett in the Los Angeles Rams uniform and kind of go for it.
But for me, plus $6,500, it seems like I'm the ones going out on the limb the most here.
And, you know, that's where a fruit is.
It's good value.
Great value.
The Colts also took the Seahawks to the wire last year with Phil Rivers at quarterback.
That was in Seattle.
And we've seen how healthy Dan Jones looks.
I don't think that's that crazy pick.
That's not a biased pick at all.
No, my own in the division?
Are the Colts winning the Division, too?
No, cheat.
No, cheat.
I thought about it.
No, you shouldn't think about it.
I thought about it.
I can't believe us.
That's why, you know what?
I hope if somebody sees it, they'll know that I took the Colts because, like, I'm invested in it.
I'm a season ticket holder in a course.
I'm a basically.
Well, I took the Rams because I got a fucking Madden-Tuber team right now.
Yeah, it's ridiculous.
I have a question for you guys.
Are the Lions going?
No, that's not what this.
This is not about the Lions.
Who's your Seattle Seahawks Dark Horse pick on this board right here?
Indianapolis calls. What the fuck are we even talking
about here? Okay, well, what's everyone else?
Is that a realistic? Cowboys.
I was actually going to say the Dallas Cowboys.
I was going to say Denver Broncos. All they did
was at Jalen Waddle and they brought like that going
back. Where are we cutting it off at? Yeah.
I'm going to go to
Atlanta Falcons.
But she crazy? Plus 12,000.
Who's the quarterback?
Two.
Tua. Okay. I think allegedly that
seems to be the thing. Or the team right next
to them, the Titans. You want Titans or Falcons?
I was going to say, I was going to say,
I was going to say the Panthers.
Don't sleep on the box.
The box is plus 4,500.
That's a good football team.
Added Bain, Kiante Scott.
The Browns are going to surprise some people, honestly.
Sure.
Nobody really brings up Mike Evans not being in Tampa Bay anymore.
Everything's always like the positive, which we like because we like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They've been very good to us.
They just lost Mike Evans.
That's a big hole to fall of fame.
That is a massive ordeal.
Not that we don't believe in Baker, but that feels like a big deal.
Carolina Panthers, you're right.
Made the playoffs last year.
Damn here beat the run.
Rams too.
Kind of figured it out.
What a draft?
A big guy, strong guy.
They took the right tackle in the first.
Okay.
Played Jalen Phillips a bag.
What about the commies?
They went to the NFC championship two years ago.
They draft Sunny Stiles to replace Bobby Wagner.
They added, who was it, Odawa O.
Yep.
Yeah, from the O.C.
There it is.
Oh, sorry.
Monroe freely.
Hey, I don't want to say it.
I like the commanders as well.
The reason why I like the commanders is Jane Daniels as a rookie.
why not the Raiders plus 15,000
legit yeah
man great off season
and Fernando can do it
remember they somehow trade for Max Crosby
guy who's already been on their team
and that just kind of capped off
a huge offseason of bringing in
great players feels like they're setting
the culture up in a different way this year
I think
I don't mind the Raiders at plus
15,000
Tom Brady more hands on right we're hearing
yeah
is that what we're expecting and thinking
Fernando, we all believe he's a guy, right?
Yes.
The Seahawks were around plus 6,000 last year.
Okay, so the Colts, perfect.
Thank you.
Okay, around, please.
What are the longest odds to ever win the Super Bowl?
Was it last year, the Seattle Seahawks preseason?
That's a good question.
That's a great question.
All right, as we pivot away from the NFL,
let's talk about odds of winning.
Winning the Champions League is so difficult
because it starts at home.
You've got to win your league.
You've got to be top three in your league.
top four in your league.
Yep.
You gotta be top four in your league.
Of all the leagues.
Top of the table.
So the French League, top four.
The Spanish League, top four.
The Italian League, top four.
The Premier League in England, top four.
The Belgian...
NLS.
No.
It's just over there.
They're scared of it.
Nonetheless, top four teams in all the leagues in Europe
go into the Champions League.
They play in the middle of the week.
It is the one, I guess.
This is what we're trying to do.
Had the championship this past weekend,
and it was an electrifying affair that came down to penalties.
It came down to penalties.
Now, this guy that scored this one is an absolute star.
He goes by the name of Ramos from PSG.
Hey!
Upper 90.
Then let's go to Yorquez out of Arsenal.
Go on, lad.
Absolutely.
Then here is Duet from P.
Merey B'Eau Kuh.
And then let's go to Mendez here.
He's a little tricky, trying to get the goalie to decide which way he goes.
What's he doing?
Yanks it.
Yanks, he can't do that, pal.
What happens next?
Well, PSG follows up.
Rice.
What a save.
Arsenal.
Go!
Once again, penalties here.
It's best of five.
Can certainly win it.
Cannot miss another one, Arsenal.
Nade-Rour.
Wow.
Absolute.
My PSG puts it away.
Now, what are you gonna do with it, pal?
He's been there guy.
He said, I wanna take a penalty.
I wanna go last.
Into the stands, PSG wins the Champions League in Paris,
goes up in flames as the Parisian celebrate
the hell out of the Champions League.
Congrats the PSG.
Unbelievable.
Back to back.
And congratulations to the lads who stepped up
and took the penalties and the goalie
that made some big time stops.
We think the World Cup should
potentially just be penalty kicks?
It's not about idea.
But I guess they'll play all the other stuff
before that. It was funny as they were going to penalties
the announcer said, all right, now we go to a gimmick
Carnival game to figure out this match.
Is that really what they said? Yeah. And we're
saying let's do that all the time. I appreciate
the... I do people hate penalties.
I fucking love... I mean,
I love the game too, obviously.
Then they have a mandatory 30-minute
OT, but for it to come down the penalties,
like, everyone knows exactly
what it is. You get... You know,
that point in the time a lot of players were subbed out but um you still like the drama of it like
knowing hey best like it was it was insane in for it to come down no big gabby he's our guy he wanted
he wanted it he called that's not his thing his penalties aren't his thing but he's our guy he called it
and that happens but what an idiot but at least he took the shot we're still we're still the champs
we had a great parade a great uh right i mean people came out gum over a million and a half yeah pretty
close to liver only like 500 000 less than liverpool
Furrow. Footy won on
Saturday. Unethical footy
is what Arsenal plays. Start time
wasting 10 minutes into the game. So
congratulations to the footy world on PSG
going back to back. I did see Guerrilla do a little
speech about one team's trying to play
the beautiful game. The other one's just trying to clog it up
and do bullshit. Oh.
It feels like ethical ball one this weekend.
Across the board.
Yeah, across the board.
You watch the sport. Huge for sport.
Huge for sport.
And the penalty thing, why
does that even match? What's that?
World Cup ended on penalties last year and it was like the coolest, or last time the World
Cup happened when it was Argentina, French, and it was like the greatest thing ever.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think just because there's no running, there's no strategy.
It's not indicative of the beautiful game.
It's nothing like the actual game.
Don't you have 120 minutes to try to win the game the beautiful way?
That is 120 minutes of action and obviously building and pacing and laying a foundation
and working and strategizing and trying not to die.
But yeah, you give me penalty kicks.
I mean, I'm going to watch.
Will be a comparison.
Are those predetermined?
Sorry.
Are you predetermined on your P.K.?
I'm sorry, Dee.
But those guys that are kicking it,
are they pre-determining it before they kick?
I'm going bottom right.
So the guys that go slow,
the guys that go slow,
that was a tactic that kind of got added in,
I don't know, over the last maybe 10, 15 years.
Like the choppy steps?
Yeah, like the guys that go slow,
that guy knew where he was going immediately.
The choppy step guys,
they're normally trying to read the goalie,
you know,
and then there's the guys that are going right down in the middle
every once in a while.
Who's that named after Gumpy?
The Pananka.
Yeah, it's right down the middle.
I think he was the first one and started doing that whenever goalies jump.
But this guy right here is trying to read the goalie.
Is he going to jump early?
No.
So if he's not going to jump early, then if you hit a ball with pace, you know it's going to go in if you go there.
So the reading of the goalie kind of became a thing.
For me, I was a guy that took these for basically every team I was on.
I'm going as hard as I fucking can to the right half of the net.
So I'm going to the right half of the net.
And I'm as hard as I fucking can hit this ball.
And normally we go first.
So if the guy stops it, at least he's going to, I mean, we're going to feel it, you know, and you set the tone.
It used to be best kicker goes fifth.
But that guy obviously never done it before.
Then strategies kind of changed.
Like, actually, we need to go early to kind of stay in this thing.
Might not get there, right?
Kind of set the tone.
Yeah, so there's a lot of strategy in who goes where.
Big Gabby has never taken one before, I guess, for Arsenal.
He had had a great year for Arsenal this year.
And he came out and said he wanted it.
And that's a big deal being the fifth guy.
And he'll learn from this moment.
and PSG will celebrate the hell out of who they are.
But yeah, right there, I think he was trying to read the goalie,
then kind of got caught in it,
and then he saw the goalie not move,
so he tried to blast it.
It's a lot of thinking.
For me, I wanted to take the thinking out.
Rip it.
The refit made him re-spot it, too.
Like, he made him move the ball.
So he had to bend over, move it to as soon as he picked it up
to move it to a different spot,
there's no way he was scoring.
Yeah, because, you know, the spot can be beat down a little bit.
So if you put it on the edge,
there might be a little bit of a fluff,
like a natural T.
but if the ref doesn't think it's on the spot enough,
they can have you move that,
and then you're back down in the poop,
you know, because the ball could potentially have to be down.
Speaking of the poop,
is the turf going to be okay?
I saw a Senegal guy starting.
That was like a MythBusters thing.
I didn't know balls could bounce that low after hitting the ground.
What's going on with the grass, Gump?
Are we embarrassing ourselves on a world stage for this World Cup, pal?
No, that was just for a friendly.
It's not for a World Cup.
No World Cup games will be played in Charlotte.
And actually, the game went off really well yesterday,
no issues with the grass there.
all as well.
Congrats to America, pulling it off.
We've done it again.
Congrats.
We've done it again.
It seems like we always get to the bottom of it.
Always do.
We do.
Really?
With everything?
No, with everything.
I think.
Damn near nothing.
We don't want to talk about anything outside of sports right now.
No.
Okay.
But like sports, we get to the...
Nothing matters outside of sports, so why would we care?
I think there's something that matters.
I didn't know it existed.
It was pretty important.
Like what?
Here's the final full trade terms here.
Miles Garrick and traded to Los Angeles.
Browns received Jared,
verse, a 2027 first round pick, a 2028 second, and a 229 third. Okay, so we knew there's going to be
a little bit of a sweetener in there, we thought, for Miles Garrett. Obviously, MVP player,
second round and then a third round as well, which they can bundle. They have two firsts
already. You can potentially bundle these extra ones to get another first. There's a chance that
Cleveland Browns are stocked and loaded with first round picks moving forward, which means
Andrew Barry is going to be there for at least another 10 years. We shall assume he gets a chance
to rebuild this thing. Who's their quarterback? We don't know, but we know they're loaded.
But tone, how do you feel about the trade compensation for the Browns potentially being great in the future if they're able to nail this all?
It feels a little light.
They got a hose.
Yeah, that feels a little light.
Jaredverse.
It's going to have to bundle.
I was expecting multiple twos after.
You can move the two and a three potentially.
You can bundle that.
But there are three different years.
Yeah, exactly.
I think you can bundle those to make a move.
Good luck.
I don't know.
Jared versus unbelievable.
He's not Miles Garrett.
12.
No, he's not, but he's 12 total set.
Here's the Rams' first round pick since 2016.
Field Yates is tweeting.
Jared Goff, which obviously would eventually get moved.
And then, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Remember the fuck those picks type situation.
Jared versus eventually traded Miles Garrett deal.
None.
Then Ty Simpson comes, and then guess well, we don't got one next year.
And probably not going to have one in the next year as well,
because we're going to have to figure out some salary cap issues.
We've got to dance around, so we'll probably be moving and grooving in that.
How many of these can we trade?
Can we trade 2035?
We'd like to move that one as well.
If we get Miles Garrett on a team, we are pumped.
You think Brown's got host?
I mean, I do.
We're talking about a generational play.
I know you made the Matt Stafford comparison,
which is a good one because of the position Matt Stafford plays.
But this is like,
this is like Peyton Manning being traded in his prime
before he got over to hump and won a Super Bowl.
Like as far as like when you're looking at the resume,
like of Miles Garrett and him still being only 30,
like with the guys and how long guys are playing now,
yeah, I need multiple firsts, multiple seconds,
in the next two years for this to make sense.
But we'll see.
Maybe Jared versus, he hits another level his third year.
He runs off 20 sacks.
You know, you do something with the second round pick, the first round pick.
We'll see.
But it's a big time.
But also, you got to factor in the fact that Miles Garrett didn't want to be here.
And he, you know, he did his fair share of potting.
He's a great player.
He did a great player.
A lot of pot.
But he did some pot.
Just like AJ Brown, great receiver.
Once you get to potting, you got to make some decisions.
So we'll see how it plays out.
Miles Garrett is the Los Angeles.
Ram. A.J. Brown is still a Philadelphia Eagle.
What will happen over our next 24 hours.
We shall see. Thank you all for allowing us to do this
for a living. Draft Kings available nationwide.
Woo!
Whoa! Hell yeah!
Hell yeah.
There's a couple states, I think, that aren't going to be
able to do some of our...
In due time. Their law.
Our exclusive markets, but it'll get around.
We will earn the trust of the markets
through our special events that'll be taking place.
One of them will be happening on June 11th.
Announcement TBD, probably
tomorrow. People are going to
enjoy this. I think that's going to be a fun one. We're going to try our best to make sports
better. Yeah. Oh yeah. We understand that the position in which we are in is a very important
one, I think. Getting a chance to chit chat about sports every single day and kind of guide
sports conversations, not guided, but be a part of guiding sports conversations and thoughts.
It's a huge honor that we are thankful for. We will continue to try to make this sports world
even better, even though we think it's already the greatest thing to ever exist. Be a friend,
tell other friends. Have nice. Might change your life. We're listening together. Great work, boys.
Good work. Good work. Great work, brother. Talk. Great video. Talk.
Good to work, talk.
All right.
Miles Garrett's a ram.
Crazy.
That's crazy to us.
I wonder if it's crazy to you.
We appreciate the hell out of you.
And we will see you tomorrow.
Team on meet, team on three.
One, two, three, team.
Goodbye.
