It's granted emergency use authorization to Novavax's two-dose regimen after finding it to be 90.4% effective at preventing symptomatic infections. Novavax uses protein technology traditionally used in vaccines, unlike Pfizer and Moderna's mRNA technology. Speaking of shots, New York City, currently home to one-fourth of the U.S.'s monkeypox cases, saw its vaccine scheduling website crash due to high demand

after releasing just 1,250 monkeypox doses. Here's a verse to consider in the face of a potential eighth, ninth COVID wave.
