Starting point is 00:00:52 That's Paul David Tripp. Let's get started with some espresso shots. Lindsay Clancy's six-week murder trial ended without a verdict. Judge Sullivan made the call Friday, after the jury remained deadlocked on whether the 36-year-old was criminally responsible. for killing her three children. They were five, three, and eight months old. Clancy says she was suffering from postpartum psychosis when she killed them, and then attempted to take her own life, which left her paralyzed. The jury's four-person said the group was split 11 to 1 in favor of acquittal, meaning finding reasonable doubt of her sanity, and that the 12th also expressed doubt

Starting point is 00:01:38 but refused to apply it. Clancy's attorney unsuccessfully pushed to remove the holdout juror. Clancy returns to a state psychiatric hospital to await a September 29th hearing, where prosecutors are expected to announce whether they will retry the case with a new jury, pursue a plea deal, or drop charges. Then yesterday, the diplomatic duo traveled to Ukraine for further talks. Pennsylvania Avenue promised a publicized next steps soon. Kiev and Moscow had agreed to a weekend moratorium on aerial tax on their capitals, which had been escalating recently so they could facilitate talks,

Starting point is 00:04:45 We have waited for him and he has saved us. This is the Lord. We have waited for him. Let's rejoice and be glad in his salvation. The UN has unrolled a new world map. The General Assembly voted 164 to 1 Friday to endorse the Equal Earth Protection, a map that, quote, more accurately reflects the true size of continents than the standard Mercator map. The used since 1569 Mercator accommodates the Earth's curvature, great for navigation,

Starting point is 00:05:22 but makes continents near the equator, like Africa, looks smaller by stretching those near the poles, like Europe. Equal Earth sacrifices the navigation lines, but keeps continental proportions equal. The UN's African group, which proposed the Equal Earth's adoption, argued Mercator's ubiquitous use has contributed to the, quote, symbolic minimization of the world's second largest continent. Uncle Sam cast the lone, nay vote, saying the contemporary cartograph is part of a, quote, radical ideological project. Four survivors were rescued over a week after Nepal's August 26th flood. Three men in stable condition were pulled from flooded hydropower tunnels over the weekend. On Saturday, a woman was pulled from a collapsed house in Newarko.

Starting point is 00:07:46 Deaths have climbed to over 1,375, with over 5,000 still missing, as teams from four nations search for 900 workers at hydropower sites. The U.S. job market gotten exceeds expectations on its August report card, adding 162,000 jobs in summer's final month. The rise tripled economists expected 53,000 and far outperformed July's 21,000. Industries with the most growth were food and beverage service, up 59,000, and local government education, aka public schools, up 42,000. Of the total new positions, 158,000, that's nearly 98%, were filled by women.

Starting point is 00:08:39 Open AI's agents escaped again, hijacking a German wiki. The AI agents reportedly made over 15,000 rogue edits to the site, including posting instructions for how other AI agents could cheat on tasks, bypass restrictions and mask unprompted behavior. Open AI reportedly knew weeks ago but stayed quiet. It has since acknowledged the need for clearer standards for reporting, quote, misalignments. The Trump administration mailed SCOTUS another emergency appeal yesterday to implement, quote, common sense mail-in ballot rules for November.

Starting point is 00:09:21 Friday, a federal judge extended her block on the rules, including a standardized ballot design and national voter database, saying POTUS's executive order, quote, threatens disenfranchisement of voters and, quote, intrudes on state's powers. The Noble Nine will expedite their response as ballot mailing has already begun. New eras kicked off in college football Saturday. Coach Lane Kiffin's LSU debut started and ended in the fast lane as the number 11 tigers pounced on Clemson 51 to 10. Michigan coach Kyle Whittingham's first Wolverine win was controversial.
