Starting point is 00:01:23 Trump's nominee for Surgeon General felt the heat on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. Dr. Casey Means, a wellness entrepreneur and Maha specialist, fielded pointed questions in a Senate committee hearing. When asked about letting her medical license lapse in 2024, she told senators she, quote, had no plans to reactivate it, since she won't be, quote, seeing patients in this role. Senators from both parties grilled means
Starting point is 00:01:50 on whether vaccines cause autism. She affirmed that, quote, vaccines save lives, but that, quote, science is never settled. Later, Senator Murray pressed her on past comments that Americans, quote, use birth control like candy. Means also faced allegations that she promoted products to followers
Starting point is 00:02:11 without disclosing she was paid to do so, claims she denied. Now, the Republican Majority Senate Health Committee will decide whether to advance her nomination to the full Senate. Controversial nominees are sure to spark heated debate. Former President Bill Clinton will testify today in Congress's Epstein investigation. Former U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, gave her closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee yesterday, saying she doesn't recall, quote,
Starting point is 00:03:13 ever encountering Mr. Epstein. Neither Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing, but Bill Clinton is expected to face questions regarding his appearance in Epstein's flight logs. As part of the widening Epstein blast radius, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers announced his resignation from Harvard on Wednesday. Bill Gates apologized to his foundation, calling his time with the financier a, quote, huge mistake. Nobel laureate Richard Axel stepped down from some of his positions at Columbia University
Starting point is 00:03:49 and celebrity doctor Peter Attia exited CBS. The Department of Justice is also reviewing whether it withheld records containing an Epstein victim's allegations that President Trump sexually abused her as a minor. News of injustice and great suffering should move us to pray to the one true judge

Following President Trump's ultimatum last week to reach a deal soon or face, quote, very bad things, think military action, American and Iranian delegations met in Geneva, Switzerland, yesterday, in an effort to de-escalate tensions over Iran's nuclear programs. Washington, which believes Iran is building a nuclear bomb that could hit the U.S., wants the Mideast nation to dismantle its main nuclear sites,
Starting point is 00:05:50 indefinitely halt all uranium enrichment, a key step in nuclear bomb building, and surrender its enriched uranium to the states. Iran wants Uncle Sam to recognize its right to enrich uranium and scale-back sanctions, maintaining that its nuclear development is energy-focused. Despite dueling desires, both sides have exchanged, quote, positive ideas, made, quote, significant progress, toward a deal, and said negotiations will resume soon. Here's a verse to consider

The company rolled out new age verification tools this week,
Starting point is 00:08:23 blocking users in Australia, Brazil, and Singapore from downloading 18-plus rated apps unless they confirm their adults. In the U.S., Utah and Louisiana will soon require developers to confirm age categories, as new laws aimed at blocking or restricting certain apps like social media take effect. Cuban soldiers killed four and injured six aboard a Florida-registered speedboat that entered Cuban waters Wednesday. Cuban authorities said the passengers were Cuban nationals residing in the U.S., armed with weapons. and intending to infiltrate the country for, quote, terrorist purposes.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Secretary Rubio called the shootout, quote, highly unusual, and said the U.S. would be conducting an independent investigation. The FBI paid a visit to the Los Angeles Unified School District, or the L-A-U-S-D, Wednesday morning, with federal agents raiding the district's headquarters and the home of its superintendent, Alberto Carlin. VALIO. Though court documents are sealed, the raids appear connected to an investigation into a $6 million deal between the LAUSD and the now bankrupt AI startup All Here. All Here's founder
Starting point is 00:09:50 was charged with fraud in 2004. NVIDIA served up some Q4 dubs. The chipmaker posted quarter-four earnings of $1.62 per share on $68.1 billion in revenue, topping Wall Street's estimates of $1.53 and $65.8 billion. Data Center revenue climbed 75% to $62.3 billion, but traders weren't impressed. Shares dropped 5% Thursday anyway, as bubble fears outweighed the blowout numbers. amount slid into Warner Brothers DMs Monday with an offer of $31 per share. That's roughly a value of $77 billion to buy the entire company. Plus, a $7 billion promise to cover costs if regulators block the sale. Warner Brothers said their current $72 billion deal with Netflix for just its studio and streaming business, quote, remains in effect, but they,
