After a shaky Tuesday where both sides accused the other of violating the ceasefire, Israel and Hamas' truce is set to expire tonight, unless it gets re-extended. The pause in fighting has allowed aid to flow into Gaza, while Israel and Hamas negotiate. So far, Hamas has released 81 hostages in exchange for 180 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. Ten more hostages are set to be released tonight. During the ceasefire, Elon Musk met with Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu in southern Israel, visiting one of the towns attacked by Hamas on October 7. Musk said it was jarring to see the

Join us as we pray for long-term peace, confident that God is able to spread across the globe the peace that he has given to those who trust him. The Book of Common Prayer, page 654, says, Eternal God, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness, no strength known but the strength of love, so mightily spread abroad your spirit, so that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, to whom be dominion and glory, now and forever. Amen.
Starting point is 00:02:11 On Monday, a trial began to determine if rapper Young Thug's record label, YSL, is actually a violent street gang. The Grammy-winning musician, born Jeffrey Williams, released chart-topping albums and worked with artists like Drake, Camila Cabello, and Chris Brown before being arrested in 2022 alongside 27 others. Prosecutors claim that Williams co-founded a criminal street gang called Young Slime Life, or YSL, and then used his songs to make it a household name. The trial hinges on Williams' violation of the RICO Act, a statute often used to prosecute criminal organizations like the mafia. He and six other people are being tried, and Williams faces racketeering, drug, and gun charges. The prosecution is expected to call around 400 witnesses and use William's rap lyrics as evidence against him, something critics argue is discriminatory and a violation of free speech. Starting point is 00:04:05 when a landslide trapped them nearly three miles from freedom. The workers were provided oxygen, food, and water through a narrow pipe, even as rescue efforts faced numerous setbacks. After the complete breakdown of drilling equipment, they were finally reached by so-called rat miners, who drilled through the last two meters of rock and gravel by hand. Once a path was cleared, each man was evacuated through a three-foot-wide steel pipe, where waiting ambulances transported them to a hospital for evaluation. Remarkably, they're all in good health. all in good health. Unexpected calamity reminds us that all of the world has been broken by sin,
Starting point is 00:04:54 but Christians can look forward to an eternity where there's redemption, not just for people, but for creation itself. Romans 8, 20, and 21 says, Against its will, all creation was subjected to God's curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay. This episode is sponsored by The Bible Recap.
