Today's episode is brought to you by our lead sponsor, Safe House Project.
Hey, it's George with the pourover.
Merry Christmas Eve.
In today's shortened episode, we're talking about President Trump appointing a special envoy to Greenland,
the DOJ releasing 30,000 more Epstein files, and other top news for Wednesday, December 24th.
We're taking Friday off, but we'll be back with you on Monday.
Stay informed while remaining focused on Christ's.

Here's the quote of the day.
Rejoice that the immortal god is born
so that mortal man may live in eternity.
Jan Huss.
Let's get started with some espresso shots.
President Trump hasn't given up hopes
of turning Greenland into red-white and blue land.
On Sunday, number 47 introduced Louisiana Governor Landry
as newly appointed special envoy to the island,
a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, saying he understands how essential Greenland is to our national security.
Landry said he was honored to help make Greenland a part of the U.S., and that it shouldn't affect his role as the Pelican state's governor.
Denmark was less excited about the announcement, calling the appointment, deeply upsetting, summoning Uncle Sam's ambassador and telling Washington to respect Danish sovereignty.
Greenland has a largely self-governing population of around 57,000 people,
roughly the population of Key West Florida,
but relies on Denmark for defense, foreign policy,
and around half of its annual budget.
Polls show Greenlanders favor independence from Denmark,
but overwhelmingly oppose becoming part of the U.S.
Our response to things outside of our control,
like international politics, should reflect our faith in Christ and be an encouragement to others.
Seek to reflect the peace of God, which surpasses understanding.
Job 1210 says,
The life of every living thing is in his hand, as well as the breath of all humanity.
The DOJ kicked off another cycle of the world.
of Release and React, unveiling around 30,000 new Epsine files on Monday.
The data was dumped with a disclaimer that some files contain
untrue and sensationalist claims about President Trump,
who has not been accused of wrongdoing.
A federal prosecutor's 2020 email stated Trump flew on Epsine's jet
many more times than previously has been reported,
at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996,
including with women who,
who were possible witnesses in Galane Maxwell's sex trafficking trial.
The release also included a 2021 subpoena seeking records from Mar-a-Lago
and an email from the British royal residence at Balmoral,
asking if Maxwell had found any new inappropriate friends.
Meanwhile, the DOJ responded to bipartisan criticism
over redactions and the disappearance of some previously released files
saying they were necessary to protect victims.
Culturally hot topics frequently make people think, speak, and act poorly, including us.
This Christmas seek to absorb anger and radiate God's peace when contentious topics seek to divide God's family.
1. Peter 4.8 says,
Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
Human trafficking isn't just an over-their problem.
It's happening right here in the U.S.
An estimated 300,000 people are being trafficked in America right now,
and most were first sold as children.
Even when they get a chance to run,
sometimes there's no safe way out,
and they get pulled right back in.
Safehouse Project is helping children get to safety
and stay there by equipping communities,
to spot trafficking and funding urgent escapes.
They cover what's needed in those crucial moments,
a way to escape, shelter, and resources for lasting freedom.
Trafficking in the U.S. is at crisis levels
and requests for help to escape are higher than ever.
Just $40 provides a safe ride
that takes a child from captivity to freedom.
Safehouse Project can't miss the moment
when a child is ready to escape,
and your gift makes sure they don't.
Give a child the way out.

In other brews, here's a wrap-a-round of updates.
CBS is under fire for burying a 60-minute segment on deportation.
to a brutal and torturous Salvadoran prison.
Editor-in-chief Barry Weiss delayed the story,
citing insufficient context and on-the-record reporting of the White House's POV.
The segment's correspondent Sharon Alfonzi called the move political
and warned it gives the administration power to kill any story by refusing to comment.
Uncle Sam's naval fleet is getting a golden makeover.
President Trump unveiled plans Monday for the new Trump-class warships.
The planned Golden Fleet would start with two large guided missile battleships
and expand dozens more.
Critics say traditional battleships sailed into the sunset decades ago
and note that planned components, hypersonic missiles, railguns, and high-powered lasers,
remain in development.
Merry Christmas, Elon Musk,
house $139 billion. Delaware Supreme Court reinstated Musk's 2018 Tesla pay package,
saying a lower court's decision to entirely cancel the compensation was too extreme.
It concludes a years-long legal battle over whether Tesla's board failed to protect shareholders
by approving the record-setting compensation of $56 billion in stock options,
which are now worth around $139 billion.
Waymo's robo-taxies threw on the hazard lights and gave up during San Francisco's blackout.
On Saturday, a substation fire knocked out power to traffic lights, homes, and businesses leaving
130,000 customers without power.
Waymo's self-driving cars struggled to handle the dark traffic signals, eventually parking
in the middle of streets and intersections when Waymo paused service in the Bay Area.
