You're listening to PBM.
You're paying back the stability here.
Everything happens for a reason, PBM family.
What is up?
Oh, yeah, the hairdo.
The hairdo.
I called upon the summer powers.
I made a sacrifice.
I said, I'll sacrifice the locks if you promised me 70s and 80 degrees.
and it'll grow back.
Yeah.
You know, there's a bigger story to it, but it is what it is.
Really none of your business.
However, I'm going to talk to you about everything happens for a reason today.
This was not the show I was going to do.
Trust me.
I was about to click go on 9 o'clock show right at 9.59,
and we had a whole HVAC company inspection nightmare.
it happened, which turned out to be fine.
I mean, but it was a morning that was going awry.
You know, you have those mornings.
The morning that was going awry for a number of reasons.
I needed about a, you know, like a five-mile run type thing to get my head back in the game.
It's gorgeous.
I shouldn't be bitch.
Beautiful.
I haven't eaten yet today either.
I'm on like a half-day fast now, not even intentional.
I'm on a half-day fast and I'm about to just go the whole day and say, screw it.
It's how you fight demons.
you know, the fasting.
Fasting is a great battle.
I was watching Padre Pio.
Did you ever watch Padre Pio with Shailaba?
I'm not a big fan of the guy,
but I've been wanting to watch it.
And it was really crazy.
I was watching a girl in confession.
And it was amazing to watch how in confession
he prescribed three days
no water, no food fast.
And it says it in the Bible.
You know, it's how you battle the demons.
I don't know how you guys feel about that.
It doesn't really matter to me,
but because I know where I'm seated in my faith and what, you know, what that means.
I don't think it's a good look at Armein.
What's his name?
J.D. Vance comes out and starts talking like Tucker Carlson on TV to everybody in the United States.
I think the UFOs might be, it could be demons.
I don't know.
There's time and place for these things.
You know, everything isn't X.
Everything isn't true social.
You know what I mean? You don't want to come out and just philosophize as the vice president on what you believe UFOs to be, particularly since you're the guy in control of, like, you know, what's really up there in the sky.
Holy Mary, Mother of God. So, to be honest, I was kind of resigning the day away to be a nightmare. You know, I woke up. I got a heads up on 35,000 reservists, get the heads up on a, you know, for,
Care yourselves, get your desert camo ready, tell your family, get your affairs in order.
And this is exactly the letter that Dave Jones got, you know, not as a reservist, but when he was called back into action, it resonated with me.
I'm reading over the letter going, oh, I remember Dave telling me about this.
So I wasn't thrilled about that, right?
I'm not thrilled about a single boot on the ground in Iran.
No, not at all, right?
I think at the point
with Iran, it's like
you've done everything you can do
with planes, trains, and automobiles.
And that's as far as the American
people want you to go. We don't want you to go any further.
We don't want it.
You know what I mean? We don't want it.
We don't want American people.
That's scary to shit out of me.
I thought a tree was falling down.
We don't want American people
getting blown up in Iran.
You got to get in and you got to get out, right?
There's this craziness.
You stay in too long and all of a sudden you're in regime change and rebuilding talk and all this kind of shit.
And we just don't want it.
Nobody wants it.
Nobody wants it.
You know what I mean?
And to be honest with you, like, I feel like Trump's probably thinking I don't want to look like Biden and just run away, a la Afghanistan.
But we've got a lot of assets in one place right now.
There's a lot of shit in one place.
You know what I mean?
You got a lot of boats.
You got a lot of aircraft carrier.
You got all kind of stuff.
Now you got men.
I don't like that.
I'm not a big fan of that, you know.
You know, in a situation where we're like fence sitting on whether or not we're warring.
You know what I mean?
It's like we came in hot and heavy 11,000 targets.
Good, great.
You know, you're blowing up a regime that is a nightmare anyway.
Now what?
Now we're going to go root them out for 10 years.
I'm starting to one.
about Israel if they've locked themselves into a war of attrition that they can't win, right?
Then you got Russia. Russia's pulling up to Havana with the oil, which is basically a middle finger to the United States, right?
They're like, okay. We're not going to let our great ally Cuba sit in the dark. We're going to show up with some oils.
What are we capable of pulling off here? What have we done in Iran? Have we done enough?
It's my question to you.
Have we done enough in Iran?
Have we done enough?
Is it time to abandon shift?
Is it time to pull out?
Right?
Are we prepared to go into a larger ground war?
Who wants that?
Nobody wants that.
We told the American people right now.
You're going to get 5%.
You might get less, right?
That's not what we were sold.
We're going to go over there and decimate the regime
and kill people with targeted strikes and then get out of it, two, three weeks, three, four weeks, four or five weeks, except. Right? That was the whole thing. And that, you know, you can't do this to the American people because we, every time we go over there, it's something. We know. So, yeah, I don't know. All of this stuff is kind of brewing in my head. You know what I mean? I knew it was a beautiful day, but the morning was kind of run awry and then out of nowhere of FedExed.
truck pulls up.
A FedEx truck pulls up and I don't have anything.
My wife says, you got something?
Getting delivered?
I said, no.
Must be for you.
And this big box comes in.
Every time I get a big box, an expected box, I assume it's a bomb.
I don't know why.
Like you assume someone's going to bond.
Some look at the bond.
There's a tech in the house.
You know what I mean?
So you really don't want it to go off and kill him too.
In my heart of heart.
so I knew it wasn't a bomb.
And I opened it up, open up the package, and there's a smaller box in it, like, heavy.
The hell is this thing?
I'm thinking about the sponsors.
I'm thinking about, you know, all the great sponsors.
Who's sending me some?
I got my gray man, I mean, my dirty man safe.
I, you know, I opened it up and I see the books.
I see three books.
Nice.
Hard-bound books.
And then it hits me.
TVN family, it hits me.
And my book has finally arrived.
And today was the day that I needed that book to arrive more than any day.
It really was the morning.
There were a few things that could have happened this morning that would have shook me out of that.
Like I said, I was ready to go in on, you know, an hour of running just to kind of get,
feeling better.
It's a secret.
I don't know if you know it, if you feel like shit, you can go really work out.
It'll make you feel better.
Running is tremendous, long distance run.
They'll spend 40, 30 minutes to an hour running.
You feel it works things out in you.
You know what I mean?
I may still do it.
I don't know.
But I want to show you something.
I want to present something that is not out yet.
There's another reason that this is a tremendous situation.
I wanted to look at the open of survival toolkit by yours truly.
I don't even know if I'm allowed to show this off or not.
I have no clue.
this is the culmination
this is the reason you have never seen
me write a survival book
this is the reason that
for a long time I held back
on writing something big
in the survival world
with my name
because I didn't want to write
a book book
to be my first survival bad
I didn't want it to be just
work writing you know what I mean
I wanted it to be one of these full-colored
picture books that explains
things. It's helpful.
Now this is a whole survival two things.
There are these incredible
cards in here. Let me show you the card.
It's really
a cool product. It comes with this
little, it's not the worst
thing to have in the world. It's not the ultimate piece
of BBC kit, right?
But I carried one of these and I carry
one in my wallet.
It's good to have. It's extra.
It's taste, right?
It's Murphy's Law.
But it also comes to these really great cards.
I'll show you the show you.
But I want to show you the book itself.
All right.
The ultimate survival toolkit.
I want to show you something in terms of illustrations.
The publisher really was very receptive.
They did a great job with illustrations.
They did a great job.
All kind of talk and work with you up.
Now my dogs are going to knock the whole camera down.
The whole thing.
This thing took probably like six months to a year to put together.
All right.
That's enough.
We're good.
Probably took about six months to a year to create maybe like eight months, right,
to get everything straightened up.
I know if you're listening, you're not going to be able to see it.
But we'll be doing plenty.
I'll be talking about it.
But it's a beautiful thing.
Where's the water map?
Full color pictures.
We got foraging pictures, full color, mushroom foraging, plants, plants,
foraging. Oh,
it's so good. Meal plans.
The water chapter is good. The solar
spill illustration, awesome. Pop-knit,
solar still illustration. Really well done.
The pictures, the color
pictures are great. The firecraft section
is one of my favorites. Really, the
chapter on fire
is
it's definitely the best chapter I've ever done on fire.
Got to remember, I've written a lot of these
but I never put my name on one.
You know what I mean?
Navigation and comms.
Here's something you won't find in a lot of survival books.
How to use a gill net.
How to use a gill net, that's pretty interesting.
All kind of different fire lays, fire crabs, beautiful.
Tools, survival tools and that kind of stuff.
Tons of great stuff.
Okay.
Good section on clothing, right?
Big section on clothing.
Layering.
I even created a cool spreadsheet for different temperatures and what types of clothing and gear to wear in preparation.
I don't know, man.
It's very cool.
It's 12 years in the making, you know what I mean?
It's like a big deal.
I did it, baby.
So it's this guy, let me show you the car.
The cars are sweet.
The whole thing kind of comes wrapped up in one package.
What I like about it is.
it's really a good, it's a great thing to get for somebody who's kind of looking for a real good
reference, you know what I mean?
For those of you who are super seasoned, probably like, a lot of the, I mean, there's some
things in there you'll read that you didn't know about because it's my book, you know what I
mean?
So there's stuff in there that you can do, can't do, all that.
But these cards, man, these are really cool.
These are a difference maker.
these are kind of what make it the toolkit because it's
well when we first discuss kind of the design for the survival toolkit
I was telling them if we do cards then what we could do with the cards
sorry I get this paper what we could do with the cards
is create like something that could go into a bugout bag
into a emergency kit right so here's a good example of
a card that you would put in a bug out bag or a collection of cards right
the navigation card.
So you have your navigating with the North Star, right?
Just a breakdown of how to do that.
And then on the back of the card
is the visual representation of how to do this, right?
Get out of the way.
What's up, Borden de Brat?
I have no idea when it's out.
That's the punchline.
The punchline is I haven't talked to the publisher yet,
to be honest.
I worked with a separate publisher to produce it,
and we created the book.
It looked great. We sold it to another publisher.
And now I'm assuming they're going to get in contact with me about, you know, how to promote it.
What the, you know, that kind of stuff.
Great collection of first aid cards, right?
All kind of great stuff.
Sort of a cool little checklist for items to carry.
Beautiful.
Multi-tool checklist.
So there's, as you can see, there's a number on the top of each.
They're 50 of these, okay?
They're 50 of these cards.
Survival Rule of 3.
Documentation of emergency.
I'm looking for a cool one to show you.
Oh, we got routines.
Yeah, I forgot about that.
I did a little bit of routine stuff.
Oh, I even took a little liberty at the ShtF side of things,
essential spices for camping and cooking and all that.
And I got a nice list of some of my favorites on the back.
Look, it's very cool.
I'm very proud of what we've accomplished here.
And I say we because I mean it.
It's me.
You know what I mean?
I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you guys.
This book wouldn't exist.
I would have never said to myself,
I think I might be able to write survival books.
You know what I mean?
But over the years,
trying to become, you know, in the early days,
trying to become the guy that you guys wanted me to be.
because I wasn't that, you know what I mean?
You know, practicing with these techniques and these tools and these skills and all that kind of stuff,
like trying to be that guy that you guys wanted me to be.
Getting better all the time, you know, playing with different things, making huge mistakes.
Obviously, with the help of the PBN host, teaching me all kinds of things,
seeing how they do stuff, all the way up until we're doing, you know, wholesale, multi-day.
overnight survival challenges with gear and really just taking it to the next level to the point now where it's
you know it's just the transformation that happened years ago you know what I mean the big change
happened years ago and here we are and it is weird to be in the body of a man that change so radical
it's crazy I mean it is a crazy thing to look back and be like this is who you were in 2012 right
And this is who you are in 2026.
And you didn't go to a school.
I didn't go to a school.
I didn't go into the military.
I didn't go get a job for some company that trained me up on how to do all this stuff.
Like, it was willpower.
And your fear, willpower, family, and the PVN family, largely.
That's got me to this point.
And this is a mile marker, man.
You got to understand.
You know, for a guy like me, like, this is the mile mark.
This is a big deal.
This is a big deal for me.
I'd love for it to do extremely well.
I'd love to write the fishermen's toolkit next.
But this is a big deal.
It's verification.
You know what I mean?
One thing about the writing in the podcast world,
people read your articles, they leave comments.
They say, great, yeah, I'm going to do X, Y, and Z.
They listen to your podcast.
And some of you reach out by email, and I do appreciate it.
but and you know the publishing of a book is always very special it's a hard thing to do to write a book
you know it's a hard thing to do to write a book maybe not anymore i don't know maybe with ai you
plug in a good enough prompt to make a book tonight but when you write a book like the one that
i showed in survival tool the ultimate survival tool kit it's um like i said it's just it's all pulled
out of my brain with
just the sheer experience
of doing things, trying things, learning things,
failing at things.
And it does feel like that.
When you display it out on the table
and you look at all the cards and look at all the
here's how to do this and how to do that
and how to avoid this and what to do it and not do.
Like you see
how much
I've changed over the years.
It's wild.
It's wild.
But it's really cool to set that
North Star and to get there.
You know what I mean?
Right behind you is the dining room of my home.
There's two windows that look out onto these trees right here.
And those trees were bending like this.
They were bending like that for days.
It was about two days they bent like that.
Under the winds of Hurricane Irene, the power went out.
And I remember sitting there holding my son, giving my wife a break.
He was probably two months old, right?
And it was a last straw moment.
It was what it was.
It was a literal last straw moment.
It was a moment when I said to myself,
like, being a chef and a musician is not going to cut it, buddy.
You know what I mean?
It's just not going to cut it.
You know, being a fisherman, chef musician is cool and all,
but this level of ignorance that you have about your own planet,
like the planet you live on, the skills needed to survive,
your level of physical fitness and self-defense acumen, right?
At the time, I was kind of nursing self-goat.
I had already been hitting the heavy bag and stuff like that.
So that was, I wasn't going from zero there.
I was already kind of physically fit too.
But it was just in that moment, like understanding, okay, we have a goal.
And it's not about pleasing things.
You know what I mean?
The goal is about becoming something that can weather the storm.
And this is eight years before the storm, right?
Eight years you could argue before 2020.
God only knows what's to come in this world.
I guess the way to end the show like this is to tell you that I'm a poor kid from Marcus Silk, Pennsylvania.
And like I said, nothing big happened in my life to push me to reach these heights and to learn these skills and to do these things.
Like there was no silent, there was no silent investor that showed up and said,
look, you don't have to work for a living.
You can just focus on making fire for the next eight years of your life.
No, it was all after work before work.
Then I got ballsy enough to turn it into work and largely got paid to learn a lot of it,
to do a lot of it, play with a lot of stuff, a lot of theater.
And it's just a reminder, man, you know, whatever it is that you want, that you want,
You're North Star to be, man.
You can do it.
You know, you can do it.
Trust me, you can do it.
It's not easy.
It won't be easy.
It'll be hell sometimes.
Sometimes you'll have days like this morning where you wake up and go like,
I don't even want to.
I'm just going to take off work altogether because you get interrupted
and you'll get hangouts and you'll get problems.
And you'll say to yourself like I did this morning.
I think I'm just going to take the day off and go run.
And then go eat a big juicy cheeseburger somewhere.
You know what I mean? There's not enough coffee in the world to cheer me up. But you know, God had a plan, man. He had a plan. And that plan was in route. Think about that. I'm having these feel I'm doing like pushups 30 at a time because I'm riled up. I'm pissed about this morning. So I'm doing sets of 30 pushups because I know there's a guy coming over. I got to be human. You know what I mean? I don't want to. I got to burn out some of this anger.
all the while that's going. And the reason I'm so mad is because I'm sitting behind the computer getting ready to hit record. My appointment for the inspection wasn't until later in the day. They tell me, oh, the guy missed his appointment. He's going to show up in six minutes. If that turns to 45 minutes, now my whole morning, look, I'm an early guy. I get up. I knock so much work out in the morning. You can't wrap your head around the things that I do in the home, right? I could be done work at noon, literally. I could be done work at noon in many cases on most days.
But I'm never done work.
I'm a business service.
There's always promotion and emailing and all that kind of stuff.
But the hard stuff, I get done early.
And the show's one of the things I like to get done early.
Pushing it back and out and out and out.
And all the while I'm losing my mind and doing push shots.
Freaking out.
This guy's riding on the back of the FedEx truck.
I had no idea it was coming.
And then God dropped this thing in my freaking lab.
And I got to look at it.
And I got to go, oh, you know what I mean?
like it's something
and she's a reminder you know
every so often shit gets weird
but just need a reminder like dude it's so good you can't believe
my father and I've been talking about this a lot
people in the streets protesting cry baby
and about everything people on the left crying
people on the right crying everybody's crying
and it's so good out there you can't even believe it
you know you have everything you want
you have everything you could ever want
my wife just left I don't know if she went to get lunch
for us or for her I don't know what she's doing
But, you know, the idea that you just hop in a car, go drive, get whatever you want, you know what I mean?
For the most part, for the most part, you go do what you want.
It's a Monday afternoon, right?
It's a Monday afternoon, take a lunch break, go get food.
You go to a restaurant, get something that's prepared for you just the way you want.
It's amazing to me.
It's amazing to me.
We sit in the streets with abortion signs.
I want to kill my kids.
I would have killed by a kid
Why won't you let me?
The funny thing is in most places you can still
There's a beautiful cardinal up here.
So here's the big news
And I'll reiterate it
I don't even know if I'm allowed to do this or not
But I'm going to do it anyway, what the hell
Unless somebody reaches out to me in the meantime
When we did the giveaway
Now today is the last day to enter the giveaway
I'm going to do a separate audio podcast
Just for this just to focus on the giveaway
I just need to do it
The Prepper Library Giveaway
So this is another crazy thing
It's absolutely crazy
Ends two day
It's over two day
Like we're on hours
I don't know what hour it ends
So you better go do it right
I'll put it in the show notes
I did not put it in the show notes
Shit
Look message me
DM me whatever it is
Okay if you want to get in there
Or you could go back
Go back a few shows right
You could go to our Instagram
You could go to
emails that you've received from us.
You are on our mailing list, right?
You see, like, I hit you guys with a wave of stuff.
So I feel back because I didn't put the link in there today's show,
but I've been talking about it for how long.
How long have I been talking about?
Right?
You should enter.
If you enter, all of a sudden, this is that thing I was telling you, I was waiting.
I was waiting.
I was like, oh, maybe it will happen.
Maybe it won't.
Maybe it will happen.
Maybe it won't.
I don't want to mention it because I'm not sure.
Well, it's slid into home base, in the home plate.
like in the final hour.
So what that means is the winner is going to get one of these signed.
You're going to get one of these signed by me.
You're going to get one of the things that I'm one of my greatest creations in life so far.
Signed by me before it's even out for sale.
Huh.
What a day, PBNF.
What a day?
I'm going to get out of here.
Yes, it's crazy.
Yes, 35,000 reserve has been told the ready up.
Are we going to have a ground war in Iran?
Who knows?
Is it all a bluff from Donald Trump, the great deal maker?
I don't know.
Russia's in Havana with oil.
What's that mean?
Who knows what the hell it means?
To me, I think we've done quite enough.
I think we've done quite enough.
I think it's time to come home.
I think it's time to take care of problems at home, right?
There's no appeasing the people who rallied in the streets yesterday.
They made it very clear, or Saturday.
They made it very clear when they, you know, the later it got in the day, the redder the flags got.
All of a sudden, the Islamo-Fasho Marxist flag started flying late in the day.
Early in the day it was all old people, America class, right?
60-70 crowd.
Then all of a sudden you saw the youth came into it.
They woke up.
They rolled out of bed.
They were complaining on social.
media. I ordered a coffee and it came and I had the wrong kind of milk gang. Days ruined. I was acting like one of them, really.
So, and then before long, the violence in L.A. You start to see the communist flags fly into Palestine and all that. And you knew, you know, there's no, there's no changing these people. It's insane.
Which is why we do what we do. Because even if you are one of those people, you better have a foundation underfoot.
You know, this world is not looking at you with smiles.
We know the record.
We all know the track record of communism, right?
It's about, I don't know, what?
How many, what is the distance you could travel if we were walking on the dead bodies laid foot to head from one end to the other of all the people who died in the 20th century from communism?
How far could we walk?
Somebody do the calculation.
One thing's for sure.
I know I'd make it out of Virginia pretty easy.
Never forget it, right?
Tens of millions of people, dead, starved, killed, murdered, right?
Gas, you name it, whatever.
National socialism, never forget who your Nazi friends are.
You call me a Nazi, right?
Never forget it was the National Socialist Party in Germany.
So, it's a good time to be alive.
Don't let the news destroy you.
But at the same time, build yourself a base level of preparedness, right?
Keep prepping.
Prep on, as Dave Jones says.
Try new things.
Train new things.
Do new things.
You don't want too many firsts.
If an emergency or something terrible happens in this country, you have to deal with it, right?
I guess we'll let that grand finale of the dog bark end the show.
All right, PVM family.
