Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome back to the Changing Earth Podcast with author Sarah F. Hathaway and co-host Chen Gibson. Blending survival fiction and fact to bring you entertaining education that will help you dream, survive, and thrive. And now, here's your hosts, Sarah F. Hathaway and Chen Gibson. Chapter 28 Jumping out of the truck, Cole looked curiously at the door, but dismissed the minor discrepancies he noticed grabbing his pack. He was tired and ready to relax, but as they approached the door, he couldn't shake the feeling. I'll grab the door, sir, Chappie volunteered, although his arms were full of flower sacks.
Starting point is 00:00:53 It's good to be home, Monroe added. Hold on a second, Cole warned. He continued the command in a whisper. Chappie, put that stuff down and grab your rifle. What's up, sir? Monroe asked, lifting his rifle to the ready. Look at the door jam, Cole directed as he crept up the stairs. You want to breach the door or go around back? Chappy wondered in a whisper. You and I will breach the door, Monroe.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Go around back and shoot anyone who decides to exit, Cole commanded. Yes, sir, Monroe replied quietly before creeping away. Cole waited a few minutes and then looked to Chappy, who was ready to bust through the door. He held up his fingers, counting to three. The door flung open and the men burst into the room. An older man sat calmly at the table with two other men standing firmly behind
Starting point is 00:01:46 him. Whoa, whoa, whoa, Virgis, Philip exclaimed, trying to calm the situation. Philip, what the hell are you doing in my house, Cole wondered, offended by the intrusion. You weren't home. There's chaos in town, so we figured we'd wait here, Philip defended. Who are your friends, Cole wondered, knowing Philip's position as a bodyguard meant someone important was with him. The older man stood up from the table, extending his hand. My name is William Baker. I'm Cassidy Baker's father. She told me you've been helpful, but your last contact didn't go well i shouldn't have sent her for those supplies it was my responsibility he explained who's your friend with the itchy trigger finger cole asked watching the other guards stand with his pistol ready he was an
Starting point is 00:02:37 older man who looked hardened by many battles he had an average, but his command presence was notable. This is Eli. Eli is harmless unless you point a gun at me, which you clearly are, William explained, looking down at Cole's rifle. Cole put the gun down, stating, You're lucky I didn't shoot first and ask questions later. You broke into my house. I'm sure you can sympathize with my need to keep a low profile. Why don't you give me a chance to explain before you shoot us, Baker suggested.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Chappie, lower your rifle and go grab some beers, Cole commanded, pulling out a chair. Yes, sir, Chappie replied suspiciously. As Chappie left, roe approached everything okay virgus for now this is cassidy's father and the leader of the western militias cole explained monroe understood the importance of the meeting saying this should be interesting why don't you stick around cole asked as monroe sat down and chappy arrived with the beers will William asked, You're no longer working with the Mercs? Why don't you let me ask some questions before we get personal, Cole countered, unsure what he wanted to share with this man. Fire away, William invited.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Where are you from? Denver, but we had a bug-out property in a community of homesteaders in southern Colorado. Your militia defends it, Cole wondered. No, your mercs do, William explained, drinking from the bottle. It was a large community with plans for this type of event. Was? William sighed heavily, thinking about the past. The sick hit us hard. That's why you were out recruiting. William looked at Cole curiously. She told you about that?
Starting point is 00:04:32 She did, Cole admitted flatly. Vegas is just a war zone anyway. Most of those people would die of starvation. We're taking care of them, William defended. We were just in Vegas, Cole informed him. The feds have a good portion of the town fortified. They have supplies. And who are they feeding? Did you see any refugees while you were there? William queried. No, Cole admitted. I've talked to people who made it out, William confirmed. I don't believe that. Second class citizens, Virgis. You know it.
Starting point is 00:05:06 You've seen it, William accused. Why would the feds take them there if not to care for them? Where else would you put them? All those people? You know the line this country is walking. I have friends there. I can verify this information, Cole warned. William answered confidently.
Starting point is 00:05:23 I know. Standing from his chair, Monroe asked, don't you think all of this will end once we get the supply chain back online? William chuckled as he looked up at him. What supply chain? And even if we could get the supply chain back online, when has any government given back rights once they've taken them? You're talking about fighting the federal government at a time when we're scrambling to put this country back together, Cole challenged. Breaking up the debate, Chappie stood up as well. Boss, how about you offer our guests some dinner? I can throw some steaks on the grill, Monroe suggested. Looks like the boys are hungry and
Starting point is 00:06:03 thirsty. Would you fellows like to join us for dinner, Cole asked. We would be honored, William replied. The men reveled in the flavors of the steak and potatoes that Chappie grilled for them. After dinner, their conversation continued. So, you're in Colorado now, Cole wondered. I'm here and there. Given my position, it's hard to stay in one place. Colonel Henderson does not look fondly upon our activities, William responded. What do you think you're going to accomplish? I'm going to help ensure this situation doesn't last forever. People with power are never keen on giving it back. I'm going to make sure the people remember what it means to be American,
Starting point is 00:06:46 William explained passionately. Cole chuckled, looking at the man. Now I know where your daughter gets it from. William chuckled in response, thinking about his daughter. She's passionate. However, her first instinct is to use violence. Isn't that why you came to me,
Starting point is 00:07:04 to ask me to fight, Cole wondered? Fighting for freedom doesn't always require violence, Major Virgis. This country was founded upon principles and laws to unite unique peoples under one system. There's always an alternative to violence. Then what do you want from me? We need people to be our eyes and ears on the inside so we know where to expend our legal resources. You have the ear of General McClintock. I'm not going back, Cole told him flatly. You have a chance to help save this country, Major. Stop calling me that, Cole snapped angrily. I'm not going back. I can't be a part of that. He stood from his chair, fed up with this man's arrogance. Look, it was really nice meeting you,
Starting point is 00:07:52 sir, and I wish you all the best, but I have supplies to attend to before this day is done. The rest of the men stood from their chairs. Thanks for your hospitality, William told Cole, heading for the door. It was my pleasure, Cole responded flatly. As he left out the door, William stopped for a minute, turning to look Cole in the eyes. He told him, understand this, Virgis, knowing about injustice and not doing something about it is just as bad as doing it yourself. Maybe so, but my men will survive longer this way, Cole responded. William chuckled at his honest response. You may be right about that. Take care, fellas. Philip made a point to tell Cole, take care of yourself, Burgess, before they left.
Starting point is 00:08:40 You do the same, Cole answered affectionately. The door closed and Cole went back to the table. He flopped down into one of the chairs, sighing heavily. You know he's right, Monroe commented, joining him at the table. This is our opportunity to get back in the mix and really make a difference. It doesn't matter, Cole replied flatly. Standing at the table, Chappie insisted loudly. It does matter. It doesn't. We might as well make our own way, Cole countered. He stood up to look Chappie in the eyes. You saw where we
Starting point is 00:09:13 were going to end up, injured in that shithole camp. Why don't you be honest with yourself, Virgis, Monroe pleaded. Why don't you leave it be, Monroe, butted Monroe rolled his eyes at Cole declaring I got it he sat with his arms crossed in front of him Chappie looked shocked by the interaction exclaiming well I don't I don't get it Burns executed those people and we just left I tried to stop him it didn't make any difference Cole insisted you? You left like a pouty five year old, Chappie countered. Can you two stand by and participate in rounding up innocent people so we can be the eyes and ears for the militia, he asked directly. Chappie sighed heavily and admitted, I don't know. I don't either. So here we are, Cole answered monroe sighed heavily but stood up quickly explaining
Starting point is 00:10:06 one thing is for sure none of those supplies are getting away while we stand around jaw jacking hello and welcome back to the changing earth podcast this is episode number 426 26, Season 15, Episode 28. Hey, Chin, what's up? Oh, ho, ho, Chin's up! Chin's up! I had put down Season 3 in my notes. I'm like, oh, that was a while ago. Getting mixed up between the audio drama and the podcast.
Starting point is 00:10:45 You're all loose. So Merry Christmas, everyone. It's coming around the corner so quickly. In the season. Right? Just happy Biden Christmas. Stop it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Yeah. Give you a lump of coal. Yeah. Yeah. We were saying in the green room, if everybody just sends him in America one piece of coal, we can fill, like, the whole White House front lawn with coal, man. That would be the funniest news story. And all of a sudden, lots of coals are driving at the White House. 86 million votes, man.
Starting point is 00:11:23 I mean, you know, 86 million votes. Yeah. I mean, you know. 86 million votes. Everybody loves him. Great guy. I know my financial situation certainly has improved. Yeah, not. Anyhow,
Starting point is 00:11:39 we're cruising along, you know, one foot in front of the other. My books, I got them on of the other. My books, I got them on sale right now. I'm not even on sale. I know. $100 for the full set. Yep.
Starting point is 00:11:56 I've only got a few sets left, by the way. So if you're interested in that, you better jump on it. Because once they're gone, I'm done. That's it right there. Yeah, right? I'm going out to the Patriot Conference in April up in Illinois.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Yeah, I'm going to be in Doug's neck of the wood. Illinois. Yeah, I'm going to be in Doug's Neck of the Wood. So I'm not going to probably do a book order until then, unless I have some extreme motivation to do so. So yeah, I got a few sets left if you guys want them. You better snag them up.
Starting point is 00:12:37 So we got a couple people in our chat room. We got Ellen listening live in Australia. They've been getting slammed by storms. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Love it. Love it. Everybody hanging out with us Sunday night. Also got the merchandise. Ellen like fishing and concerts. She's like all kinds of good stuff. She's off the boat. She's just ripping it up.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I never get on Facebook. My Facebook is like, you have 1 million notifications. I'm like, whatever. So I guess I should get on there. I'll probably get on there tonight. If you guys are looking for me on Facebook, you can find Changing Earth on there. And then, you know, I had to go pseudoname. So I miss Erica Earth on there. And then, you know, I had to go pseudoname, so I miss Erica Moore on there.
Starting point is 00:13:27 So they don't like me for some reason. I don't know. She's so much more timid than Sarah, right? Right. Yeah. I can see why you let her. Right? I know.
Starting point is 00:13:45 She definitely doesn't mess anything up. So, Changing Earth merchandise. Also available. So, the sweatshirt's pretty bomb. I've said that a bunch. Yeah, right? Have you checked that shirt out? It came out pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I found, like, the perfect little emoji men for it. I'm pretty proud of it. Yeah. I'm definitely going to have some of those for teaching the self-defense class. Because then whenever anybody asks me, I can just turn around and be like, ah, that is probably the number one most asked question at the self-defense class. Like, when do I kick them in the nuts like no no after you kick i take his knees out right so he can't chase you anymore that's good um other thing that we're doing for the month of de December is if you do a verse a night from the book of Luke by December 25th, you've been through the life of Jesus. So we're doing that.
Starting point is 00:14:53 You know, we have our little advent tree and doing the one verse a night. So that's pretty cool. We picked that up and that was pretty cool. So, yeah, if you guys want to jump on that bandwagon, that's what we're doing over here. I know James is doing a kettlebell thing, too. Yeah, kettlebells in Christ. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:15 So that's pretty cool. I have my own workout. So I'm sorry, PBN family. Oh, yeah. Oh, I know. I was just saying, like, you verse from the luke verses but he's doing i forget which book he's doing it with but he's doing a verse and a kettlebell workout yeah yeah it's cool that was a cool idea yeah i gotta keep all my my boxing skills and everything on
Starting point is 00:15:39 point so i've been working a ton of footwork i'm determined to not let my footwork go down as I get older. Been playing footloose? Yep. Yep. Dancing in the warehouse? Actually, no. I listen to the Changing Earth, too. I have them all on my own playlist.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Yeah? Yeah. So I listen to the Changing Earth audio drama, all the songs from playlist. Yeah. Yeah. So I listened to the changing earth audio drama, um, all the songs from it. Yeah. I have them lined up for my workout, like the ones that are super fast paced and everything.
Starting point is 00:16:12 So that's what is a workout. Playlist. The workout playlist. Oh, I gotta have a good app for, for sharing the music like that. Um, I've got it on my website, you know, but it's a little cumbersome over there.
Starting point is 00:16:30 So, yeah. But you got to worry about everybody's rights and everything. And I really want to support all the musicians that, man, they put their music up and Creative Commons so that you can actually use it or like with an attribute. So you got to attribute it to them. But, you know, so many phenomenal songs. And without those performers doing that, you know, I couldn't do what I do. So props to all of them. It's spice.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Yeah. Right. And five times August. And yeah, really appreciate all that because it really does add that level of epicness to the audio drama so and i dig the music so also when i listen to it all the time then i know what the songs are so when i'm like thinking about what's the perfect kind of stanza for this part i have all the music memorized pretty much. So I'm a little bit of a music freak.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yeah, I like music too. Yeah. So last week we did the Ben show, which was hilarious and a ton of fun. We had Doug on. Phil was here. Gillian was here, which was great. The survival tips from the performers was just the best. We had Doug on. Phil was here. Gillian was here, which was great.
Starting point is 00:17:49 The survival tips from the performers was just the best. I was like, Gillian's like, Teresa's survival tip is have dinner ready before TJ gets home. Yeah. I was like, well, that makes sense. I watched Sheila to show up at dinner dinner table oh I have it like some spots cause there's times I'll call it like his whip as opposed to Sheila
Starting point is 00:18:13 Doug won't let any of that go anymore it's always Sheila he never will call it the whip he self corrects it oh my god yeah so uh no it was a good show it was a ton of fun and the bloopers are always super fun um we are going to be starting the audio drama up
Starting point is 00:18:36 december 7th is when the next block starts this thursday and. And these shows are just so good. So then we'll be able to do another fun show like around Christmas, New Year's time. And that'll be cool. Everybody will be on break and we'll be able to do another fun show like that.
Starting point is 00:18:59 So. Yeah, I always bounce around between like, because I could get so many people from the show to come on but it gets a little hard to manage the whole you know when i've got my whole office filled with people and then everybody on skype too it gets a little uh sarah's brain just explodes so there's times i like to limit the amount of people that are there so we'll see what what we end up doing for that show so it's been a couple weeks since we did virgis when he got home from vegas the town was on fire and then today's show he goes to his house and it looks like a break-in right so it was a bit
Starting point is 00:19:41 it was a break-in so we were thinking tonight of doing the show on home defense. But we have a lot of that comment, or of that content. I'm going to go ahead and link that to you in the blog for today's show, where you can find a lot of great articles on the area defense that we've done. Basically, if you go to my survival um guide and click on area defense a lot of the home invasion all that kind of information is right there so that's you have a catalog about hundreds and hundreds of shows yeah um not only there like the area defense is going to be specific to home break-ins but then i have the self-defense, all that information up there.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Yeah. So I didn't feel the need to really go through that again. However, I do have picked up some cool tips. So next time we do the show, it'll be fun to do an area defense again. But Christmas is coming. And so why not give the gift of preparedness, right? I'm like, if I'm going to buy something for somebody, it's going to be useful in that manner, you know? Right?
Starting point is 00:20:54 Yeah. Even people that are like, oh, you're a crazy prepper. I give them prepper stuff anyway. Yesterday, the wife and I were just talking about how our hobbies are so practical. Everything we do as a hobby is kind of prepper-related. We don't have hobbies like golf. Yeah, skydiving. Yeah, where it's just like throwing money out the drain.
Starting point is 00:21:23 You do a lot of flying for business. I guess so, yeah. That could be a proper activity. Yeah. But, you know, we were like, she's all into like herbal stuff and, you know, sewing and mending stuff and crafts. The wild foraging is awesome. It was just, you awesome. We were just looking back on our own life.
Starting point is 00:21:47 We're kind of practical in our hobbies. Right? My favorite hobby is shooting my new DeVore. I'm literally jonesing for it. If you guys
Starting point is 00:22:03 want to get me a Christmas present, just keep sending me 5.56 ammo. Because I just, I can't get enough of it, man. I'm like, oh. Burning crude. That was a $300 weekend. Whoops. Yeah. And I didn't even go anywhere except to like out to the range.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Somebody did sponsors. Right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Like Lucky Gunner or something like that. So. didn't even go anywhere except to like out to the range like somebody just sponsors right yeah yeah yeah like lucky gunner or something like that so all right wouldn't be sweet that would be hey if you're out there and you gotta you want me to sponsor your ammo i'm i'm all for it i will test it i'll do testing anyway that gun is beautiful and uh it's called teddy it's my teddy bear that's that's all eric will shoot right is that ammo yeah yeah well no i still love my 22 don't get me wrong but i didn't name my 22 it's a sponsorship that that brand will be all that they stockpile and
Starting point is 00:23:04 yes yeah yeah yeah for sure for sure it's it's done If you get a sponsorship, that brand will be all that they stockpile in changing your series. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. For sure. It's done. Yeah. Oh, did you see? I'm going to break into politics for just a second.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Did you see the Elon Musk interview? Yes. Oh, that was so good. I love that. He was talking about what advertised with him? Yeah. He's like, whatever. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:23:29 It was. It was Atlas Shrug, the modern Atlas Shrug. He's like. He's like, Bob. Hello, Bob. And he's in the audience. That was the Disney rap, dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:39 It was awesome. It was. It was epic. Loved it. Yeah. Way was epic. Loved it. Yeah. So, way to go. If you want to kill it, if you think you need to not advertise with us and kill it, go ahead. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:56 I'm back and forth about him in general because I don't like Tesla. I'm not overly thrilled with with you know what's happening I'm waiting for the shoe to fall with him but dang a lot of stuff he does and says I know I'm like yeah I'll take it why can't we have like more show up to the plate
Starting point is 00:24:18 like that so yeah need it because the whole wokeness crap yeah it's not healthy please you've got to stand for something or you're going to fall for anything and it's just like it just seems like that's it in our world like next big thing next big thing next big thing next big thing and it's like where is your value structure you know so yeah corporate without values is evil all righty so let's jump into no more politics no more squirrels i knew this was going to be
Starting point is 00:24:54 this kind of night for me i'm all over the board christmas 2023 so what i always do is kind of assess like what do people need because they're not like thinking from a preparedness mindset they're just like oh yeah i live in a totally earthquake prone area area where we could have a tsunami and an earthquake and i have no go bag so you know that's when i'm like okay you're getting a go bag for Christmas, you know, that kind of thing. So really, you've got to think on that level for people. Now, somebody like Chin, what do you get him? Because he's got everything that he would need all set up. He's like, oh.
Starting point is 00:25:44 I'll trust you. I can think of a ton of things that i don't have yeah you're gonna send me the list don't send me a list man so i haven't bought them right exactly that's been my problem so quick um things so i still stand behind the emergency zone two-person family bug out bag or survival kit. I'm no longer contracted to sell with them. I did have my survival store and whatnot. But I'm telling you, it's still a really good pack to get people started. It has your water, your food rations. It's a really good starting point if somebody has, like, got nothing
Starting point is 00:26:27 and they need something, you know. And it's reasonably priced. I'm not sure that you can really part out everything that's in it and be able to buy it, especially the backpack that they put it in is really high quality as well like i stole the backpack out of one and like parted things out to other um places i just bought one in and uh because we had like things missing from brock's bag things missing from my bag so i bought one and just parted it out to our bags and then stole the backpack too. Cause it was a really good pack. So,
Starting point is 00:27:07 which is the rarity almost because a lot of times those bags are not all that good. You know, a lot of times when you get those kits, like those pre made up kits, the bags are, yeah, they're garbage. They're just going to fall apart and whatnot. This one's like waterproof and everything, which is better than my go bag that I was using. Ooh, Silverstreak. They're making sure that I don't run out of 5.56 ammo.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Beautiful. That's a pretty cool deal, too. Target Sport USA. All right. Thank you, Silverstreak. Score all the way now. Yeah. Oh, gosh, you're right.
Starting point is 00:27:59 Okay. All right. All right. Pulling Sarah back in. See what happens. All right, all right. Pulling Sarah back in. See what happens.
Starting point is 00:28:11 So the other thing that people overlook is medical kits. Like, when do you not need your medical supplies kind of restocked? You know, I've put together kits. I can't tell you how many times, but man, they get pilfered as you go. but man they get pilfered as you go um so i'm looking at more like field kits to have in more places right yeah i have my one that goes with me like when i'm shooting and stuff and yeah cars but now you know like a four-wheeler so i'd like to have one in there i'd like to have one on the track you know like just have more of them even if you have one on your person and you have one in the car then you know more than if it's a bigger incident everybody that's carrying a pistol on them all the time are you carrying a tourniquet on you all the time. Mm-hmm. Yep. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Yeah. I got what it's like ankle ones that carries a tourniquet and some blood stopping stuff. Yeah, but do you carry it when you're carrying your pistol? Some of the time, not all the time. Oh, late James Yeager will be all over you, man. I got what happened. late James Yeager will be all over you, man. I bought it so I could carry it all the time and then fit with my boots. Oh, no. Son of a gun. I got my butt reamed over that, dude. Now, yeah. So my kit, you know, I have like a leg
Starting point is 00:29:40 pouch. I mean, I literally carry a firearm every moment I'm not asleep. Right. Well, that's why I say I have one that fits inside of the same pouch where I carry my firearm. That way it's together and never apart. Well, I inside the waistband. Oh, got you. Yes. I, inside the waistband. Oh, got you. Yeah, see.
Starting point is 00:30:07 My whole surface is in the waistband. Yeah, I have like a pouch that I carry down. It's harder to, um. Well, you better figure it out. Property. I saw a little, uh, tourniquet holder you can just put on your belt. I know, but it's. Yes, ma'am. yeah three minutes it's hard not to look like gi joe running around well suck it up man i'm not i am not putting a target on my back
Starting point is 00:30:39 looking like gi joe well i get that but it's not hard. But it's not hard to carry. It's not hard to carry one. It can be like in a little pouch that, you know, could be a cell phone or glasses in there. Like people have those little pouches on their hip that have glasses in them. Instead of putting your glasses in there, put a tourniquet in there and then it looks like you're carrying
Starting point is 00:30:59 sunglasses around. Yep, yep, yep. I took my reaming to heart on that one the ankle thing is really the way to do it it's just i have to figure it out because it has i had blood clot in it it has a bandage in it it has the tourniquet in it pair of gloves in it it It's slick as hell. But since I wear western boots, it didn't
Starting point is 00:31:30 fit with the boots. Oh. You know, hey, do you carry 24-7? What? Do you carry 24-7? Yeah. If I'm out of the house. No, I carry, it's on right now. I carry 24-7. Yeah. If I'm out of the house. No, I carry it on right now.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I carry 24-7. I have Ragnar. Yeah. Okay. I have my Escrima stick sitting right under my feet. And a knife in the drawer right behind me.
Starting point is 00:32:01 But, yeah. When I'm at home, I'm not out on property anymore. I mean, being at home is not a. Oh, I know. But seriously, if you think you're going to come through Ragnar, good luck. Hey, it could be more than one person. Right.
Starting point is 00:32:19 But they would shoot my dog. My gun's right there. Like, it's right there. So it's very easy. I have options. Very easy to access. I mean, I'm not taking anything away from, like, a dog is a massive horse multiplier. No, I get it.
Starting point is 00:32:39 I get it. But, if you're going to carry your gun all the time, then you've got to have that tourniquet with it. Like, that's it. Cause one tell your female, you're from oral. Okay. Point made. Let's move on.
Starting point is 00:32:56 So doom and bloom, great kits, all sizes. That's where I would go for medical kits. Uh, awesome dude anyway. And, um, he could use a support. Everybody can use the support right about now these days um for a prepper who has it all right this is my idea
Starting point is 00:33:16 do they have the dental kit right yes because like a lot of people don't have the dental kit and the dental kit is so important you can literally die from a toothache like you can die they cause cardiac arrest and stuff so i don't want anybody like using a drill on me and whatnot. So if anybody, another Christmas present, if you're interested, I would really love a dental kit as well. But most of even the hardcore preparedness people, they might have a surgical
Starting point is 00:33:55 kit, but they don't have a dental kit. You're tough pressed to find somebody who does. And his like the best most most like extensive one i've seen um for it over there at doom and bloom and then it's a tight year it's tight financially for most people um so gift cards for the grocery store. You know, who couldn't use more food right now? And you can always buy canned food. Like, oh, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I'll just buy some canned food. Or you give them long-term food. They have great deals on, like, the 72-hour kits and things like that. Yeah, now's the time to shop for that stuff. Right? Yeah, because it all goes on the sale. So Monday were the good times to shout for that too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Yep. Yep. So that's what like for my brother, he's not into it and whatnot. But I still, I sent him, you know, long-term food supply last year. Well, what am I supposed to do with this? Put it away. You know, probably he'll use it to go camping or something. But, you know, still, at least it's there. Right. or something but you know still at least it's there right all right let's jump into the prepper
Starting point is 00:35:10 the gift catalog has everybody seen that i hope i hope all pbn community has seen that i can grab it and yeah put it in the yeah do you have an easy link i'll find it i got it okay throw it up in there i got it you got it you got it i had it i was i was flipping through it me too um there it is so share all right so of course jay berg um she has really cool handcrafted stuff if you're into wild foraging she actually has a foraging bag that is pretty darn cool give out for christmas this year what's that we bought four of her foraging bags to give out for Christmas presents. Yeah. I love it.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Um, when I'm out, like, cause I wear it out to get eggs and then, you know, you find some things that are good in the garden and that kind of thing. And, um,
Starting point is 00:36:15 my only critique of it was that it needed like multiple pouches. Cause when I would collect eggs and strawberries, then like everything was together. Um, so she's done that where there's another pocket in there. So that was my only tip because she wanted me to test it out and see how it worked. But I'm loving it. Love the way it lays across the body. It's good stuff.
Starting point is 00:36:47 The Titan solar generator is sick. Yeah, those are... James was running his whole coffee booth off of that. I know. That's crazy. I really want one, but man, that's a price tag on it still. It's those batteries, you know. Yep.
Starting point is 00:37:15 All right. I have a bunch of smaller solar things. Not that big solar kit. Yeah, I really want it to be able to run my Jenny. Your phones in and stuff. I have those in all my go-to bags and travel bags and everything. Yeah. Oh, love it.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Ha, ha, ha, ha. All right. So, Disaster Coffee, always a great gift. Like even everybody loves disaster coffee. It's good. They do too. And it's fun because you could pick out different, like whatever, civil unrest or whatever you want to give to a specific person. You could pick out the fun little theme.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Right. But I always seem to be getting, you know, like supply drop. You could pick out the fun little theme. Right. Or pick it out by flavor. But I always seem to be getting, you know, like, supply drop. I pick it out by whatever the name of the flavor is. Right. Well, and, like, the stronger, the better. Brock just wants, like, civil unrest because it's, like, going to hit him harder, you know. So.
Starting point is 00:38:23 And then the green beans. Of course, you can buy the green ones. They that store longer that you will have to roast them yourself i'm kind of worried about that in a post-apocalyptic situation i'm just saying because like you're outside roasting coffee beans and then like everybody's smelling that they're like coffee at the hathaways you know so uh but yeah coffee that is something that we stock the heck out of and then can't keep it stocked either because my husband just so much coffee um the wellness company is the one that we're using for the antibiotic supplies yeah and i would love to get yeah um i got one from jay's case i know it's a different company but i will i think what it's similar is it not it's similar looks really similar. I can't speak to wellness companies
Starting point is 00:39:25 because I don't have that one, but I do have the one from Jay's case. And yeah, it is expensive, but dang, it is worth it. I mean, it's not like you're getting 10 pills in that bottle. They are full to the brim with
Starting point is 00:39:41 medication. And that will last you for days. And'm not think about it if somebody's sick you you want it now like you want it in the house you don't want to have to like go out and get it go to the doctor or try to save money by ordering it online right order online it's going to be week two weeks before you get it oh yeah, yeah. And, you know, if you got to go out, that sucks when somebody's sick because you want to be there or, you know. And talk about the peace of mind that it brings to, like, know you have that. So, like, if somebody did get, you know, an injury and it got infected, like, you have what, you know, modern medicine to be able to treat that instead of not having it. So it's a really good investment, in my opinion, to make sure you have that.
Starting point is 00:40:36 I've been using mine, and it's like, oh, I can just go to the book, and it's like, oh, you have this going, then you need this one, and you need this dose, and boom, you're good. Think about if you had put a doc in a box, what that would have cost you. Right. To get the same thing as you go into the reference book, to what you have to take out of the kit. Yep.
Starting point is 00:40:58 And they have online help and all that. If you're not like, oh, I don't want to self-diagnose or whatever, they have all kinds of online nurses and things like that you can talk to. And then you don't have to go to the pharmacy, get the medication, yada, yada, yada. It's right there. Yeah. Or get other people sick. So that is one I would suggest. I haven't checked out the wellness company too much, but that is one I would suggest. I haven't checked out the Wellness Company
Starting point is 00:41:25 too much, but that is the PBN supporter, so if you're going to grab one. Interviewing some of the doctors from the Wellness Company, they're pretty interesting. They've been good interviews. Very cool. Very cool. Dave Jones is the
Starting point is 00:41:41 NBC class. 100% worth it. Yep, absolutely. Yeah. That's actually the picture on my screen right now. Yeah. His class, like, you know, I've been deeply immersed in the preparedness world. Because, like, I grew up country uh gardening and learning you know how to wild
Starting point is 00:42:06 forage and learning these things but then once i published my first book they actually like society classified me as a survivalist or whatever and so i can say i've been and i also upticked my research at that point you know i really upticked the, the amount of knowledge that I was learning, uh, for long-term survival in a collapsed society and that kind of thing at that point. Cause for my, for my future books, of course. Um, but so I've been in it for a long time and to take a course where, um, you're just constantly learning new information and you've been studying this stuff for so long. That was impressive. That was really impressive. Dave is, I mean, he's our hidden gem. I mean,
Starting point is 00:42:52 he is such a subject matter expert, but he's like our, you know, like he's our guy, right? He's our guru. Yeah. He's our Yoda. Our friend that is like on the network network he does the daily chats and stuff and but it blows me away when you step back and think of the knowledge that he brings to the table right yes for sure so that's 100 worth it um the emp shield was interesting yeah i haven't really looked into that too much and and I checked into it, and that is a pretty cool little system. Yeah, they've been around for a while. I've seen them advertised.
Starting point is 00:43:34 Made in America as well. So if you're into Made in America, Sport America, the EMP Shield, from somebody who's my standpoint, where I think that the next CME is really going to come soon, that is definitely interest-perking. You make them for cars and for houses. Yeah. Yeah, you can put it on your quad. Like, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:44:00 So that would be a great thing. I mean, you can have it when nobody else could, so that's great. Then, of course, the Changing Earth books. Definitely, you know, hook that up. If you want to get a copy, please do that quickly so I can get them to you before Christmas. And then the Prepper Camp tickets. It's going to be another epic year. I mean, it's going to be seriously epic year. Two mean, it's going to be seriously epic year.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Two tickets at your site and your campsite. Yeah. Yeah, don't forget the campsite. Yeah. People are like, two weeks before Prepper Camp, they're like,
Starting point is 00:44:36 oh, the campsite's full. Yeah. Dude. You got to get right on. After you get your ticket, then you show proof of your ticket and you get your campsite. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Or, you know, if you do a hotel or Ben and Bearcrest or whatever. But camp is the way to go. We're all right there. Yeah. You can come hang out with us at a bonfire. You know, I mean, so that's really cool. Okay. Let's jump into Changing Earth News because I got a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I missed a week. Okay, let's jump into Changing Earth news because I got a lot of stuff I missed a week and this crazy little planet we live on has just been going cray cray. Alright, here we go. Hello and welcome back to the Changing Earth podcast. This is episode number 426, season 15, episode 28. Hey, Chin, what's up? Ho, ho, ho, Chin's up! Chin's up! I had put down season 3 in my notes.
Starting point is 00:45:40 I'm like, oh, that was a while ago. Getting mixed up between the audio drama and the podcast. So Merry Christmas, everyone. It's coming around the corner so quickly. In the season. Right? Happy Biden Christmas. Stop it.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Yeah. Give you a lump of coal. Yeah. Yeah, we were saying in the green room, if everybody just sends him in America one piece of coal, we can fill, like, the whole White House front lawn with coal, man. That would be the funniest news story. And all of a sudden, lotsts are driving at the White House. 86 million votes, man.
Starting point is 00:46:28 I mean, you know. 86 million votes. Everybody loves him. Great guy. I know my financial situation certainly has improved. Yeah, not. So, anyhow.
Starting point is 00:46:44 We're cruising along, you know, one foot in front of the other. My books, I got them on sale right now. Well, not even on sale. I know. A hundred bucks for the full set. I've only got a few sets left, by the way. So if you're interested in that, you better jump on it.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Because once they're gone, I'm done till... That's a set right there. Yeah, right? I'm going out to the Patriot Conference in April, up in Illinois. Yeah. I'm going to be on Doug's Neck of the Wood. I'm not going to probably do a book order until then unless I have some
Starting point is 00:47:33 extreme motivation to do so. I got a few sets left if you guys want them. You better snag them up. So, we got a couple people in our chat room. We got Ellen listening live in Australia. They've been getting slammed by storms.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Yeah. Yeah. Love it. Love it. Everybody hanging out with us tonight, Sunday night. Also got the merchandise. What's up? Oh.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Ellen, like, fishing and concerts. She's all, she's,'s like all kinds of good stuff she's off the boat she's just ripping it up i never get on facebook my facebook is like you have 1 million you know notifications i'm like whatever so i guess i should get on there i'll probably get on there tonight oh if you guys are looking for me on Facebook, you can find Changing Earth on there. And then, you know, I had to go pseudoname, so I miss Erica Moore on there.
Starting point is 00:48:32 So they don't like me for some reason. I don't know. She's so much more timid than Sarah, right? Right. Yeah. I can see why you let her. Right? I know.
Starting point is 00:48:51 She definitely doesn't mess anything up. So, Changing Earth merchandise. Also available. So, the sweatshirt's pretty bomb. I've said that a bunch. Yeah, right? Have you checked that shirt out? It came out pretty bomb. I've said that a bunch. Yeah, right? Have you checked that shirt out? It came out pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:49:10 I found like the perfect little emoji men for it. I'm pretty proud of it. Yeah. I'm definitely going to have some of those for teaching the self-defense class. Because then whenever anybody asks me, I can just turn around and be like, ah, that is probably the number one most asked question at the self-defense class. Like, when do I kick him in the nuts? Like, no, no. After you kick, I take his knees out. Right.
Starting point is 00:49:39 So he can't chase you anymore. That's good. you anymore. That's good. Other thing that we're doing for the month of December is if you do a verse a night from the book of Luke, by December 25th
Starting point is 00:49:53 you've been through the life of Jesus. So we're doing that. We have our little advent tree and doing the one verse a night. So that's pretty cool. We picked that up and that was pretty cool. So, yeah, if you guys want to jump on that bandwagon, that's what we're doing over here.
Starting point is 00:50:13 I know James is doing a kettlebell thing, too. Yeah, kettlebells in Christ, yeah. Yep. So that's pretty cool. I have my own workout, so I'm sorry, PBN family. Oh, yeah. I was just saying, like, you were doing the verse, the Luke verses, but he's doing, I forget which book he's doing it with, but he's doing a verse and a kettlebell workout. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Yeah. That was a cool idea. Yeah, I got to keep all my boxing skills and everything on point. So I've been working a ton of footwork. I'm determined to not let my footwork go down as I get older. Been playing footloose? Yep. Yep.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Dancing in the warehouse? Actually, no. I listen to the Changing Earth to our – I have them all on my own playlist. Yeah. Yeah. So I listened to the Changing Earth audio drama, all the songs from it. Awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:13 I have them lined up for my workout, like the ones that are super fast paced and everything. That's what you need is a workout playlist. The workout playlist. I got to have a good app for sharing the music like that. I've got it on my website, you know, but it's a little cumbersome over there.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Yeah. But you gotta worry about everybody's rights and everything, and I really want to support all the musicians that, man, they put their music up and Creative Commons commons so that you can actually use it or like with an attribute um so you got to attribute it to them but um you know so many phenomenal songs and without those performers doing that you know i couldn't do what i do so props to all of them. It's spice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Right? And five times August. Yeah. Really appreciate all that because it really does add that level of epicness to the audio drama. And I dig the music. Also, when I listen to it all the time, then I
Starting point is 00:52:21 know what the songs are. So when I'm thinking about what's the perfect kind of stanza for this part, I it all the time, then I know what the songs are. So when I'm thinking about what's the perfect kind of stanza for this part, I have all the music memorized pretty much. I'm a little bit of a music freak. Yeah, I like music too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:38 Last week, we did the Ben show, which was hilarious and a ton of fun. We had Doug on. Phil was here. Gillian was here, which was hilarious and a ton of fun. We had Doug on. Phil was here. Gillian was here, which was great. The survival tips from the performers was just the best. I was like,
Starting point is 00:52:55 Gillian's like, Teresa's survival tip is have dinner ready before TJ gets home. Yeah. I was like, well, that makes sense. I want Sheila to show up at dinner table. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Oh, I have it like some spots because there's times I'll call it like his whip as opposed to Sheila. Doug won't let any of that go anymore. It's always Sheila. Like, he never will call it the whip he self-corrects it yeah so uh no it was a good show it was a ton of fun and the bloopers are always super fun um we
Starting point is 00:53:38 are going to be starting the audio drama up December 7th is when the next block starts this Thursday. And yeah, and these shows are just so good. So then we'll be able to do another fun show like around Christmas, new year's time. And that'll be cool. Everybody will be on break and we'll be able to do another fun show like
Starting point is 00:54:03 that. So. Cool. Yeah. Everybody will be on break, and we'll be able to do another fun show like that. Is that the show? Yeah, I always bounce around between, like, because I could get so many people from the show to come on, but it gets a little hard to manage the whole, you know, when I've got my whole office filled with people, and then everybody on Skype, too, it gets a little, Sarah's brain just explodes. So there's times I like to limit the amount of people that are there so we'll see what
Starting point is 00:54:28 we end up doing for that show so it's been a couple weeks since we did Virgis when he got home from Vegas the town was on fire and then today's show he goes to his house and it looks like a break-in right
Starting point is 00:54:43 so it was a break-in, right? So it was a break-in. So we were thinking tonight of doing the show on home defense. But we have a lot of that comment, or of that content. I'm going to go ahead and link that to you in the blog for today's show, where you can find a lot of great articles on the area defense that we've done. And basically, if you go to my survival guide and click on area defense, a lot of the home invasion, all of that kind of information is right there. So that's...
Starting point is 00:55:18 You have a catalog of hundreds and hundreds of shows. Yeah. Not only there, like the area defense is going to be specific to home break-ins, but then I have the self-defense, all that information up there. Yeah. So I didn't feel the need to really go through that again. However, I do have picked up some cool tips. So next time we do the show, it'll be fun to do an area defense again. But Christmas is coming
Starting point is 00:55:45 and so why not give the gift of preparedness right i'm like if i'm gonna buy something for somebody it's gonna be useful in that manner you know right yeah even people that are like oh you're a crazy prepper i give them prepper stuff anyway. Yes. Yesterday, the wife and I were just talking about how like our hobbies are so like practical. You know, it's like everything we do is a hobby is kind of like prepper related. It's not we don't have hobbies like golf. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:23 Skydiving. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, where it's just like throwing money out the drain. You know, if you do a lot of flying for business. I guess so, yeah. That could be a proper activity. Yeah. But, you know, we were like, she's all into like herbal stuff and, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:48 sewing and mending stuff and crafts so the wild foraging is awesome we were just like looking back on our own like what it's like yeah we're kind of like practical in our hobbies right for us yeah my favorite hobby is shooting my new Tavor. I just, I'm literally jonesing for it. If you guys want to get me a Christmas present, just keep sending me 5.56 ammo because I just can't get enough of it, man. I'm like, oh, crud.
Starting point is 00:57:18 That was a $300 weekend. Whoops. Yeah. And I didn't even go anywhere except to like out to the range somebody just sponsors right yeah yeah yeah like lucky gunner or something like that so all right wouldn't be sweet that would be hey if you're out there and you gotta you want me to sponsor your ammo i'm i'm all for it i will test it i'll do testing anyway that gun is beautiful and uh it's called teddy it's my teddy bear that's that's all eric will shoot right is that ammo
Starting point is 00:57:55 yeah yeah well no i still love my 22 don't get me wrong but i didn't love my 22. Don't get me wrong, but I didn't name my 22. It's a sponsorship. That brand will be all that they stockpile in the Changing Your Series. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. For sure. It's done. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:16 Oh, did you see, I'm going to break into politics for just a second. Did you see the Elon Musk interview? Yes. Oh, that was so good. I love that. He was talking about what advertised with him?
Starting point is 00:58:30 Yeah. He's like, whatever. Beautiful. It was. It was Atlas Shrug, the modern Atlas Shrug. He's like. He's like, Bob. Hello, Bob.
Starting point is 00:58:41 And he's in the audience. That was the Disney rap, dude. Yeah. It was. It was epic. Loved it. Way to go. If you want to kill it, if you think you need to
Starting point is 00:58:56 not advertise with us and kill it, go for it. I'm back and forth about him in general because I don't like Tesla. I'm back and forth about him in general because I don't like Tesla. I'm not like overly thrilled with, you know, what's happening on the planet. I'm waiting for the shoe to fall with him, but dang, a lot of stuff he does and says. I know.
Starting point is 00:59:17 I'm like, yeah, I'll take it. Yeah. Why can't we have like more show up to the plate like that? So. Yeah. Yeah. Need it because the whole wokeness crap yeah it's not healthy please you've got to stand for something or you're going to fall for anything and it's just like it just seems like that's it in our world like next big thing next big thing next big thing next big thing it's like, where is your value structure? You know?
Starting point is 00:59:47 So, yeah. Corporate without values is evil. Alrighty, so let's jump in. No more politics, no more squirrels. I knew this was going to be this kind of night for me. I'm all over the board. Christmas 2023. So what I always do is kind of night for me i'm all over the board christmas 2023 so what i always do is kind of assess like what do people need because they're not like thinking from a preparedness mindset
Starting point is 01:00:15 they're just like oh yeah i live in a totally earthquake prone area area where we could have a tsunami and an earthquake and i have no go bag so you know that's when i'm like okay you're getting a go bag for christmas you know um that kind of thing so really you've gotta you've gotta think on that level for people now somebody like chin what do you get him because he's got everything that he would need all set up he's like a ton of things that i don't have yeah you're gonna send me the list don't send me a list man so i haven't bought them right exactly that's been my problem so quick um things so i still stand behind the emergency zone two-person family bug out bag or a survival kit um i'm no longer like contracted to sell with them i did have my
Starting point is 01:01:18 survival store and whatnot but i'm telling you it's still a really good pack to get people started. It has like your water, your food rations. It's a really good starting point if somebody is like got nothing and they need something, you know. And it's reasonably priced. I'm not sure that you can really part out everything that's in it uh and be able to buy it especially the backpack that they put it in is really high quality as well like i stole the backpack out of one and like parted things out to other um places i just bought one and and uh because we had like things missing from brock's bag things missing from my bag so i bought one and just parted it out to our bags and then stole the backpack too. Cause it was a really good pack. So.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Which is the rarity almost because a lot of times those bags are not all that good. You know, a lot of times when you get those kits, like those pre-made up kits, the bags are... Yeah, they're garbage. They're just going to fall apart and whatnot. This one's like waterproof and everything, which is better than my go bag that I was using. So, ooh, Silver Streak. They're making sure that I don't run out of 5.56 ammo
Starting point is 01:02:49 Beautiful That's a pretty cool deal too Target Sport USA Alright, thank you Silverstreak Score all the way now Oh gosh, you're right Alright, alright Pulling Sarah back in See what happens Thank you, Silver Street. Score all the way now. Yeah. Oh, gosh, you're right. Okay. All right. All right.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Pulling Sarah back in. See what happens. So the other thing that people overlook is medical kits. Like, when do you not need your medical supplies kind of restocked? You know, I've put together kits. I can't tell you how many times but man they get pilfered as you go um so i'm looking at more like field kits to have in more places right yeah i have my one that goes with me like when i'm shooting and stuff. And yeah. Cars, but now,
Starting point is 01:03:45 you know, like a four wheeler. So I'd like to have one in there. I'd like to have one on the track. You know, like just have more of them. Even if you have one on your person and you have one in the car, then,
Starting point is 01:03:58 you know, more than if it's a bigger incident, everybody that's carrying a pistol on them all the time. Are you carrying a tourniquet on you all the time? Mm-hmm. Yep. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I got what it's like ankle ones that carries a tourniquet and some blood stopping stuff.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Yeah. But do you carry it when you're carrying your pistol? Some of the time. Not all the time. Oh, late James Yeager will be all over you, man. I bought it so I could carry it all the time and then fit with my boots. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Son of a gun. I got my butt reamed over that, dude. Now, yeah, so my kit, you you know i have like a leg pouch i mean i literally carry carry a firearm at every moment i'm not asleep right um well that's why i say i have one that fits inside of the same pouch where i carry my firearm. That way it's together and never apart. Well, I, inside the waistband. Oh, got you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:12 See, I have like a pouch that I carry down. It's harder to, um. Well, you better figure it out. Property. I saw a little, uh, tourniquet holder you could just put on your belt. I know, but it's. Yes, ma'am. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:33 Three minutes. It's hard not to look like G.I. Joe running around. Well, suck it up, man. I'm a chick. No, I am not putting a target on my back looking like gi joe well i get that but it's not hard to carry it's not hard to carry one yeah it can be like in a little pouch that you know could be a cell phone or glasses in there like people have those little pouches on their hip that have glasses in them instead of putting your glasses in, put a tourniquet in there and then it looks like you're carrying sunglasses around.
Starting point is 01:06:07 Yep. Yep. Yep. I took my reaming to heart on that one. The ankle thing is really the way to do it. It's just I have to figure it out because it has a blood clot in it. It has a bandage in it. It has
Starting point is 01:06:23 the tourniquet in it. A pair of gloves in it. It has a bandage in it. It has the tourniquet in it. A pair of gloves in it. It's slick as hell. But since I wear Western boots, it didn't fit with the boots. Oh. You know, hey, do you carry 24-7? What? Do you carry 24-7? Yeah? Do you carry 24-7?
Starting point is 01:06:46 Yeah, if I'm out of the house. No, I carry 24-7. It's on right now. I carry 24-7. I have Ragnar. Yeah. Okay. I have my Escrima stick sitting right under my feet.
Starting point is 01:07:02 And a knife in the drawer right behind me. So. But, yeah. when i'm at home um i'm not out on property anymore i mean being at home is not a oh i know but seriously if you think you're gonna come through ragnar um good luck hey it could be more than one person. Right, but they would shoot my dog, my gun's right there. It's right there. It's very easy. I have options. Very easy to access. I mean, I'm not taking anything away from...
Starting point is 01:07:38 A dog is a massive horse multiplier. No, I get it. I get it. But if you're going to carry your gun all the time, then you've got to have that tourniquet with it. That's it. Because one till your femoral.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Okay. Point made. Let's move on. So Doom and Bloom. Great kits. All sizes. That's where I would go for medical kits uh awesome dude anyway and um he could use the support everybody can use the support right about now these days um for a prepper who has it all right this is my idea Do they have the dental kit? Right.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Yes. Because a lot of people don't have the dental kit. And the dental kit is so important. You can literally die from a toothache. You can die. They cause cardiac arrest and stuff. So I don't want anybody using a drill on me and whatnot um so if anybody another christmas present if you're interested i would really love a dental kit as well um but most of like even the hardcore preparedness people they might have a surgical kit
Starting point is 01:09:01 but they don't have a surgical kit but they don't have a dental kit you're tough press to find somebody who does and his is like the best most most like extensive one i've seen um for over there at doom and bloom and then it's a tight year it's tight financially for most people um so gift cards for the grocery store you know who couldn't use more food right now and you can always buy canned food like oh i'm good i'll just buy some canned food or you give them long-term food they have great deals on like the 72 hour kits and things like that so yeah now's the time to shop for that stuff right yeah because it all goes on sale so i wonder where the good times to shop for that too yeah yep yep so that's what like for my brother he's not into it and whatnot but i still i sent him you know
Starting point is 01:09:57 long-term food supply last year well what am i supposed to do with this put it away you know probably he'll use it to go camping or something. But, you know. Still, at least it's there. Right? Alright, let's jump into the Prepper the gift catalog.
Starting point is 01:10:19 Has everybody seen that? I hope all PBN community has seen that. I can grab it. Yeah, do you have an easy link? I'll find it. I got it. Okay, throw it up in there. I got it.
Starting point is 01:10:34 You got it? I had it. I was flipping through it. Me too. There it is. So, share. through it me too um there it is so share all right so of course jayberg um she has really cool handcrafted stuff if you're into wild foraging she actually has a foraging bag that is pretty darn cool give out out for Christmas this year. What's that? We bought four of her foraging bags to give out for Christmas.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Yeah. I love it. When I'm out, like, cause I wear it out to get eggs and then, you know, you find some things that are good in the garden and that kind of thing. And my only critique of it was that it needed like multiple pouches. Cause when I would collect eggs and strawberries,
Starting point is 01:11:27 then like everything was together. Um, so she's done that where there's like another pocket in there. So, um, that was my only like tip cause she wanted me to test it out and see how it worked, but I'm loving it.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Love the way it lays across the body. It's, it's good stuff. Um, But I'm loving it. Love the way it lays across the body. It's good stuff. The Titan solar generator is sick. Yeah, those are. James was running his whole coffee booth off of that. I know. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:12:06 I really want one. But man, that's a price tag on it still. Yeah. So it's those batteries, you know. Yeah. So. Mm hmm. All right.
Starting point is 01:12:21 I have a smaller of smaller solar things not that big solar kit I really want it to be able to run my Jenny your phones in and stuff I have those in all my go-to bags travel bags yeah oh love it
Starting point is 01:12:44 alright so Yeah. Oh, love it. All right. So disaster coffee, always a great gift. Like even everybody loves disaster coffee. It's good. They do too. And it's fun because you could pick out different, like whatever, civil unrest or whatever you want to give to a specific person. You could pick out the fun little theme right or you know but i always seem to be you know like uh supply drop or i pick it out by whatever the name of the flavor is right and i well and like the stronger the better
Starting point is 01:13:21 brock just wants like civil unrest because it's like going to hit him harder, you know? So, um, and then the green beans, of course you can buy the green ones, uh, that store longer.
Starting point is 01:13:31 They, you will have to roast them yourself. I'm kind of worried about that in a post-apocalyptic situation. I'm just saying, cause like you're outside roasting coffee beans and then like everybody's smelling that, and they're like, coffee at the Hathaways. You know? But yeah, coffee, that is something that we stock the heck out of. And then can't keep it stocked either, because my husband does so much coffee.
Starting point is 01:14:09 there because my husband just so much coffee um the wellness company is the one that we're using for the antibiotic supplies yeah and i would love to get yeah um i got one from jay's case i know it's a different company but i will i think what it's similar is it not it's similar it looks really similar i can't speak to wellness companies because i don't have that one but i do have the one from jay's case and yeah it is expensive but dang it is worth it i mean it's not like you're getting 10 pills in that bottle. They are full to the brim with medication. And that will last you for days. And I'm not. Think about it. If somebody's sick, you want it now.
Starting point is 01:14:57 You want it in the house. You don't want to have to go out and get it. Go to the doctor. Or try to save money by ordering it online. Ordering online is going to be two weeks before you get it. Go to the doctor. Or try to save money by ordering it online. Ordering online is going to be two weeks before you get it. Oh, yeah. And, you know, if you got to go out, that sucks when somebody's sick because you want to be there.
Starting point is 01:15:15 And talk about the peace of mind that it brings to, like, know you have that. So, like, if somebody did get, you know, an injury and it got infected, like, you have did get you know an injury and it got infected like you have what you you know modern medicine to be able to treat that instead of uh not having it you know so it's a really good investment in my opinion to make sure you have that i've i've been using mine and it's like oh i can just go to the book and it's like oh you have this going then you'll you need this one and you need this dose and boom you're good think about
Starting point is 01:15:52 like if you're a bit of the dock in a box what that would have cost you right to get to do the same thing as you go into your the reference book to what you have to take out of the kit i mean yep and they have like online help and all that like if you're not like oh i don't want to you know self-diagnose or whatever they have all kinds of online um nurses and things like that you can talk to so and then you don't have to go to the pharmacy get the medication yada yada yada it's right there well yeah yep Or get other people sick. So that is one I would suggest. I haven't checked out
Starting point is 01:16:30 the wellness company too much, but that is the PBN supporter, so if you're going to grab one. Interviewing some of the doctors from the wellness company, they're pretty interesting. They've been good interviews. Very cool. Very cool.
Starting point is 01:16:44 Dave Jones is the NBC class. good interviews. Very cool. Very cool. Dave Jones is the NBC class. 100% worth it. Yep, absolutely. That's actually the picture on my screen right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:58 His class, I've been deeply immersed in the preparedness world. Because, like, I grew up country gardening and learning, you know, how to wild forage and learning these things. But then once I published my first book, they actually, like, society classified me as a survivalist or whatever. And so I can say I've been, and I also upticked my research at that point. You know, I really upticked the amount of knowledge that I was learning for long-term
Starting point is 01:17:32 survival in a collapsed society and that kind of thing at that point, because for my future books, of course. But so I've been in it for a long time. And to take a course where you're just constantly learning new information and you've been studying this stuff for so long, that was impressive. That was really impressive. And Dave is, I mean, he's our hidden gem. I mean, he is such a subject matter expert. Yes. But he's like our, you know, like he's our guy, right? He's our guru.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Yeah. He's our Yoda. He's our guru yeah he's our yoda our friend that he's like on the network he does the daily chats and stuff and but it blows me away when you step back and think of the knowledge that he brings to the table right yes for sure so that's 100 worth it The EMP shield was interesting. Yeah. I haven't really looked into that too much, and I checked into it, and that is a pretty cool little system. Yeah, they've been around for a while. I've seen them advertised.
Starting point is 01:18:39 Made in America as well. So if you're into, like, Made in America, Sport America, the EMP shield. as well. So if you're into like Made in America, Sport America, the EMP Shield, from somebody who's my standpoint, where I think that the next CME is really going to come soon,
Starting point is 01:18:53 that is definitely interest-perking. They make them for cars and for houses. Yeah. Yeah, you can put it on your quad. It's crazy. So that would be a great thing. You can put it on your quad like it's crazy so that would be a great thing i mean if you you can have it when nobody else could so that's great um then of course the changing earth books uh definitely you know hook that up if you want to get a copy please do that quickly so i can get
Starting point is 01:19:21 them to you before christmas and then the Prepper Camp tickets. It's going to be another epic year. I mean, it's going to be seriously epic year. Two tickets at your site and your campsite. Yeah. Yeah, don't forget the campsite. People are like, two weeks
Starting point is 01:19:40 before Prepper Camp, they're like, oh, the campsite's full. Yeah. Dude. You gotta get right on after you get your ticket then you show proof of your ticket and you get your campsite yeah or you know if you do a hotel or bed and breakfast or whatever but camp is the way to go we're all right there yeah 24 7 you can come hang out with us at a bonfire you know i mean so that's really cool okay let's jump into changing earth news because i got a lot of stuff i missed a week and uh this crazy little planet we live on it's just been going cray cray all right here we go thank you for joining sarah and chen for this episode of
