A person who advocates and practices preparedness.
One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine.
That is a Prepper.
That is a Prepper.
Hello everyone out there in Internet Radioland. Are you prepared for any event?
How's all my Preppers out there?
I'm a Prepper, he's a Prepper, you're a Prepper. Wouldn't you like to be a prepper too oh I digress I am downstairs
here sharpening our butcher knives we have a specific set of knives that we
use for butchering three of them are cold steel made by cold steel and they're they're really high quality
stainless steel and then three of them are like high carbon steel. I actually
got them from Ukraine years ago and they're they're just like back in the
old days in the butcher shop but they're small they're maybe four inches
but they hold an edge and the reason I have six of these knives is you sharpen
them up it gets dull you don't wait you just go on to another knife so tomorrow's
butchering day here at the Jones Homestead. We, I don't know, there was, there's too many rules
with Christian Orthodox I can't keep track but Maria said we can't butcher!
We were gonna butcher on Monday. The same day the guys came by. We can't do it,
it's the second day of Easter, you shouldn't be killing." And I'm like, uh, okay.
So we pushed it off to Wednesday.
I'm out there changing fences around.
The guys got to see, uh, and James helped me, uh, cut down a tree.
So I appreciate that.
Um, Maria didn't want me doing it by myself, but it was a small tree, you know, maybe four inches
Maybe in diameter. Yeah, it's like a twig
But she didn't want to fall in on the greenhouse. It was it was blocking the Sun from the greenhouse
I'd gotten up in there last year and cut a whole bunch of stuff down
She stopped me right when I got to this tree. So, but it's down now. I'm probably gonna have to cut it up because it's kind of laying crooked and in the
way. So, I'm, this is spring break for me. So, I'm gonna go back to school on crutches
Say what happened to mr. Jones? He's he's a casualty
Yeah, so tomorrow we're gonna butcher like eight rabbits and
Probably 12
14
chickens, it's gonna fill up one of our freezers and we have room. So it's
all good. It's all good. And did you hear the rationing ruin? Come on PBN family, listen listen to that and and participate gosh you will learn so much about your system
speaking of system the warden does not want me to participate not because I
couldn't do it but she don't want me to eat the crap food that's her words not
mine and I said well we'd eat it.
If the you know, if the grid went down, we'd be eating that.
She said, wait until the grid goes down.
And I'm like, that's the whole point of this exercise.
You don't wait. You see how it goes.
But I think I'm outvoted.
We'll see.
There's still time,
but there's a lot of other stuff going on
with Ration and Ruin too.
Besides the weekly updates that you will get
from all the participants, you know,
how they feel, what they ate, how it tasted.
It's gonna be great.
It's gonna be the best exercise yet.
Each one gets better and better and better. So, that's about it, PBN family.
I hope you're prepping on. You know, things... May, in May, is when the election that was supposed to happen in Romania, months and
months ago, and the stand-in prime minister has already said that if the right guy don't
get elected, he's not stepping down.
So we'll see how this goes.
We will see how this goes. We will see how this goes.
And of course the war in Ukraine continues.
Putin put a ceasefire on for Easter and they're still fighting.
So, yeah, I don't know.
Yeah, any moment could touch off an escalating event.
And not to mention the wild card out there, China.
So, we're putting up food, we're freeze-drying, and you know nothing else
when we're old and decrepit and can't get around we'll have a lot of
freeze-dried food that we can eat. Okay, PVN family, you take care and prep on.
