One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine that is a prepper Hello everyone out there in Internet radio land this is Dave Jones the NBC guy and The intrepid commander asked me to come on and remind you about the fast and Before I talk about the fast, I'd just like to ask you to pray for the intrepid commander and his family. They've had a personal tragedy. I'm sure James won't mind me saying this, but his mother passed away last night and I just ask that you pray for him. Anyway today starts the fast probably not for the IC and his family but Maria and I are gonna do it.. Now, first of all, let me say, don't do this fast.
Starting point is 00:01:27 If you have any kind of medical condition or something like that, don't do this fast. And if you have a medical condition or you're not sure, consult with your doctor, okay? It's an interesting exercise. You'll learn a lot. And if you could participate, go. If you can't, don't do it. Just listen to us. And Marie and I have done this before.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Now look, I'm on no medication. You know, most people my age, oops, the wardenens tracking me down yes we are out and about today I finished putting in the toilet in the bathroom downstairs and the sink but I have the wrong size sink drain so I had to come back in town to get the right size sink drain. So let's talk about the fasting. You don't want to do this if you have any kind of medical condition so there you go. But if you're fit, healthy, can do this, I'm gonna tell you you're gonna learn a lot. So many people say oh I can't go
Starting point is 00:02:45 without breakfast or I can't go without eating in 24 hours but you find out you really can. Now the first 24 hours yeah you're going to be hungry you're going to be getting those habits like the intrepid commander said. James Walton, man, I'm praying for you. The whole PBN family is praying for you. Anyway, so the first 24 hours you're going to be hungry. Second 24 hours you're going to be amazed because the hunger subsides. You go into ketosis where you're burning fat and fat is your largest store of energy in your body
Starting point is 00:03:34 and when you start burning that you get this burst of energy and mental clarity mental clarity and your body starts into autophagy where it eats the dead corrupted cells first and the only thing you have left are good functioning cells so yeah after 24 hours you stop being hungry now you've got to pump the water you have got to pump the water and the electrolytes like you've never done this before. I mean think about it. The food in your system has water in it and your large intestines has the function of extracting that water. Now you're not putting that food or that water in there.
Starting point is 00:04:22 So you've got to really really really pound the water. And if you're feeling kind of not not quite right, take a little bit of salt and I recommend pink salt but any kind of salt and just lick it with your tongue and instantly you'll you'll get right again. It's like a little shaky, a little not sure, a little feeling goofy. You have a mineral deficiency and if you just lick your tongue on that salt it'll bring you right back almost instantly. It's like there's something, you know, when that salt hits your tongue that you just snap out of it. And remember, it's 72 hours, so, you know, check yourself out,
Starting point is 00:05:15 you'll be losing weight. You know, some people lost two pounds a day. Now, yes, some of it's water weight, but some of it is that crap cells and fat. It's the way to get yourself into ketosis. And do your normal amount of activities. Okay, so your normal amount of activities and you'll see the level at which you could perform where you'll get some kind of idea in an SHTF situation because you know I'm I'm imagining you have more stress in an actual SHTF than you would in your normal daily activities. So try it out, see what you think. It resets your metabolism too.
Starting point is 00:06:10 You'll find that you'll sleep better at night. You'll sleep deeper. You'll wake up more refreshed. Now you know you may have a headache if you're deleting caffeine out of your system. Know that that would come. But that passes. And pound the water. Pound it like you've never had done it before. And electrolytes. And Sunday, you're going to feel great.
Starting point is 00:06:42 You're going to feel great. And if you can't do it. If you find that you just can't do it heat up some bone broth put some salt in it and drink that That may be enough to carry you through to the end bone broth. Don't have a lot of calories You know it won't kick you out of ketosis So if you're already burning the fat fat you'll just continue to burn fat but it might be the thing that that pulls you right out so that's my idea on fasting and
