A person who advocates and practices preparedness.
One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine.
That is a prepper.
Hello, hello, hello everyone out there in internet radio land.
This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy.
I'm coming to you semi-live from Sheetz.
I'm getting the car inspected, so I had to come over here to Sheetz.
Got to do all that stuff while I got the time off, you know, from school.
Teaching history. Hey, a couple things I wanted to talk about today. It's kind of a hodgepodge, a rambling if you were.
James talked yesterday about men can't handle rejection. I got to tell you, I lived on rejection.
Rejection was my middle name. It's almost like I thrived on it. And he's
right. That salesman pitch, you got to have that pitch, man. You got to be able to put your best
product forward. And for those of you who've actually met me, you know what I'm talking about.
who've actually met me, you know what I'm talking about.
I was quite the salesman in my day,
and I was able to sell the product.
Anyway, enough said about that.
I think we're raising a, I need more energy drink.
My energy drink of choice is Full Throttle.
They do something for veterans,
and it's one of the only energy drinks that actually works.
So I think we're raising a generation that had it too easy,
that we've tried to take all the pain and suffering and discomfort even out of this generation's life.
And they know no other way.
And isolation because of social media, which is neither thing.
It's neither media nor social.
It's anti-social, and it's misinformation for the most part.
I don't know how many times every week I have to tell someone that's not true.
Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's true.
Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's true.
And this has destroyed this generation's social skills.
The skills that you need to interact personally with other people.
And I'm as guilty of it as anybody. I have kids growing up, even my 27-year-old Alex.
He prefers the convenience of Uber and get everything delivered and no social interaction whatsoever.
I don't know. I don't know what the answer is. Well,
I think the cure is going to be World War III.
Every generation
is tested, and this generation will be tested
in a way previous generations have never
been.
And, wow, boy, in the time of giving thanks, right?
You should take the time to count your blessings today, PBN family.
And if I could ask you to say a quick prayer for my neighbor Larry he's having some health issues
and gosh he's my number one guy
in my group
he's the guy I'm going to
if you're doing 12 hour shifts
I'm on for 12, he's on for 12.
So Larry had some bad medical news handed to him,
and he's going to have to go in for surgery in December.
So please say a quick prayer for my neighbor.
He needs all the help he can get.
And the other thing is,
yesterday when I was saying about the go-to list,
you could sit right down right now
and think about the preps that you have
and what you'd like to top off.
You know, if it's get another case of water.
You know, water where we are isn't the problem.
Everybody is going to have a different thing.
I tend to go to energy.
Yeah, energy. And other things that you can do, small little things that get you more ready, more ready in a short period of You know, and this takes the anxiety away.
Yeah, anxiety away.
So that's what we're doing here at the Jones Homestead.
We're leaning forward.
You know, I think I said on a couple prepper lives back
that a great time to attack would be Thanksgiving.
a great time to attack would be Thanksgiving.
Just like Pearl Harbor was Sunday morning
before 8, there's a reason for that.
The military was unprepared
and Thanksgiving more people travel than
even at Christmasmastime.
So it would be a time when, well, not to get your prepper sense in an uproar, but I'm just saying this Thanksgiving, maybe that's why I'm so, my prepper sense has been tingling since the election.
And I don't know why.
Yeah, it could be nothing.
Could be just the thought of, hey, that was too easy.
I thought there would be more chaos and more, you know, demonstrations and people going nuts that they just
elected Hitler. But it hasn't been that way.
So I don't know. I don't know PBN family.
I do know this. Ammo Squared
is a great product. And if I got to put a plug in for someone
Ammo Squared. Hey and James said the catalog
is going to be out. Man I can't wait to see the catalog.
And there's always some great deals in there and
yeah I can't remember what I ordered
last year out of the catalog.
Chin in the back channels always helps me spend my money.
He sends me stuff that is such a heck of a deal,
you can't not, you know, get it.
I can't remember what it was.
I remember I got a Jackery one time
because he sent this deal in the back channel. And so now I have a Jackery one time because he sent this deal in the back channel.
And so now I have a Jackery.
Those little power, solar power things, they're really great.
I mean, for, you know, camping out trips, things like that.
I also have a big solar generator from Zero Point
when they were a sponsor.
So I have a couple different solar options.
I'm looking at getting a couple more solar panels.
I have 100-watt panels with inverters, or charge controllers, I mean.
So I can set up like five or six different little charging stations right now.
And I really think smaller is better.
You've got to limit your amount of use of electricity
so that you can get to a point where you can generate your own.
So if you want to really truly be able to get off grid,
that's the first thing you've got to do
is limit the amount of electricity that you need.
Yeah, so PBN family, I'm going to sign off here.
I am going to go hunting.
Going to hunt a deer while I'm off.
Hunting for me is mainly just going in my backyard.
So it's not like I go far, far away or anything like that.
I go far, far away or anything like that.
But I do sometimes use the old man's property of 75 acres up on a mountain.
But I won't do that this year.
Okay, PBN family, take care and prep on.
