Starting point is 00:00:00 A person who advocates and practices preparedness. One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine. That is a prep high. Hello, hello, hello everyone out there in Internet Radio Land. This is Dave Jones the NBC Guy. How are you doing on this Thursday night? Oh my gosh, I've been wanting to do this daily audio cache for a while now, but it just hasn't Transpired now. I am I am up here doing dishes
Starting point is 00:00:51 Yeah, let's see if I can sit this down here and still talk to you guys And Dishes is what you do when you're a part of the unskilled labor force here. So everybody does what they can do right you know when I was when I was in the army I never drank coffee but I was always the first one there so I made the coffee for everybody that drank it. I think it was because I felt like well that's something I can do. I'm already here. So I did it. Hey but I want to tell you.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Hams. Now very few people may know what Hams is. And it goes back to the 1970s. Oh my gosh. Didn't they have a beer or a bear as a logo for this beer Ham's beer is what I'm talking about and this is a prepper tip so if you have snails or slugs they love beer and they will climb into a little you know container, plastic container, and never climb out.
Starting point is 00:02:08 So they will not eat your stuff. We have been plagued with snails. I have put snails and slugs. What is it the leopard? I think it's the leopard slug. I put that in the back channel. This sucker was like six inches long it was huge but you can't eat them and they're all over the place so I think it's because of
Starting point is 00:02:34 where we are in the mountain and all that kind of stuff whatever but I I got some hams beer and we're putting traps out last night night Maria caught over a hundred. Over a I mean it was it was a lot. It was a lot. And then we put them in the you know the maggot bucket. So they're gonna feed our chickens. We want to put them directly in the chickens but they kind of decomposed over the night and we didn't want to put them directly in the chickens but they kind of decomposed over the night and we didn't want to you know possibly do anything there. Hey so what's going on in your world? I gotta say, I gotta say if you ain't prepping now what is wrong with you? Trump comes on today and says that war with Israel and Iran is likely
Starting point is 00:03:29 and man sometimes you hope he would be quiet but he is straight up up front honest to a fault and there you go and of course we know that Russia is with Iran so if Israel wants to mess up Iran Russia might get in there and of course Russia attacked I'm doing I'm doing a daily audio cache while I'm watching the dishes what is it Wow we have a salad 100% Oh That slug She brought one in
Starting point is 00:04:28 in the parsley You're hearing this live PBS Family Hey speaking of live We don't We have not publicized this enough Future Dan
Starting point is 00:04:44 is going to be at the 250th parade. You have got to listen on Saturday. If he can get signal, he will feed us live coverage. If he cannot get signal, because if you remember, he was at January 6th, but he could not get signal all the time, so it wasn't, you know, live coverage. So you will get blow by blow, play by play, what's going on at the Army parade that's in Washington DC. And I told him watch out for the overpasses because you know terrorists and Democrats use the overpasses. Just saying. So when I got back from Baghdad got back from my two-year deployment in the Middle East I found myself constantly looking up at overpasses and catching myself like hey you don't have to do that
Starting point is 00:05:52 anymore I if I saw a bag of garbage or something like that by the road I would slow down and try and swerve to get away from it. I'm afraid because I have to take over. Because it's not, it's cool. Maria says we are so late with dinner because we had the water and plant stuff in the dark. I'm telling you we're putting food away like we have never put... How many quails in that bin right now? Quail. Sixty.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Sixty. Okay, we are... Okay, now how many chickens? How many chickens? I don't know the numbers. Somewhere over a hundred. Yeah yeah so we're putting up food like we ain't never put up food before. That's the truth. That is the truth. You said today that our garden... But that doesn't mean we can grow an army with it. No, I'm just saying... It's not for us, so we don't have to go buy anymore. Yes, years past, the weather has been bad. We didn't have what we have now.
Starting point is 00:06:55 And we didn't have a freeze dryer. Got to get them eggs out of the freezer. Oh my gosh, yes. We run that freezer almost 24-7 here. Anyway, PBN family, that's my tip. Ham's beer. It's cheap. No, we'll see. They might like Stella.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Yeah. So we tried the experiment last night with Stella. Which is right now my current beer of choice. I think it's hand picking at 12 o'clock is the best. I pick over 250. She did go out at midnight last night to enjoy the full moon and to pick slugs off of plants. Now you get them in the man and find them like a hummer. Oh my gosh, yes. If we could only eat them they were huge 10 inches long
Starting point is 00:07:50 PBN family that's live update from the Jones homestead yeah 10 minutes till 10 take care and prep on!
