A person who advocates and practices preparedness. One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine. That is a better. Radio Land. This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy. Happy Thanksgiving. By now, I think everybody should be in a trip to Fend coma sitting on the couch, undoing their belt buckles, and just loving life. Here at the Jones homestead, we're just rolling into it now because, well, you know, just the way we roll. But we are definitely thankful.

We're thankful for so many things. And our prayers go out to those guardsmen that were shot yesterday doing their duty. And, you know, there's some things in the back channel. I sent out George Washington's Thanksgiving proclamation. It was not yet a holiday for the new country, but George Washington thought it was important enough to give it a presidential proclamation. And if you get a chance, Google it, read it. I read it in our classes.

All of our kids get to hear it. and they get the real story of Thanksgiving. And I'm not hating on anybody, but it is a uniquely Christian holiday that these Puritans, Christians, set aside time to thank God. And it was the second year they were here, not the first,

because the first year was marked by tragedy and death and disease, just a struggle. And the second year they were here, and it was a tradition, an American tradition, ever since. And George Washington thought it important enough

to send out a presidential proclamation, and it later became one of our first holidays. All four holidays were brought in official the same time the 4th of July, Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving. So those were our four first holidays as a nation. And it's interesting that when I traveled to Romania during this time, they advertised all kinds of Black Friday sales. and me knowing the history of Black Friday.

I'm like, don't you need a Thanksgiving to have a Black Friday? And I wonder how many PBN family members take part we used. In our family, it used to be a tradition to go shopping with my mom. She would look forward to those super deals and getting out there early. And she would coordinate with us so that we would drive her. to different places and over the years it's kind of lost its luster and we have stayed away from it mostly but now our daughter's 18 and she wants to participate in the shopping tradition of the season anyway PV and family I just wanted to say happy Thanksgiving let you

on a little bit of history, you know, I'm not busting on Muslims, but they had nothing to do with the founding of this country, not like Barack Obama once said. It just, it's not true, and it's just the fact. This country is a Christian, Judeo country founded on those beliefs. I mean, we don't believe you should kill. your enemies, we believe you should pray for them. Non-believers. Pray for non-believers. Don't kill them.
