A person who advocates some practices preparedness.
One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine.
That is a prep.
We are the proper broadcasting network.
Hello everyone out there in Internet Radio Land.
This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy.
How are you doing?
Happy Monday, Monday, Monday, Monday.
Oh my gosh.
Yes, it's a 4 o'clock Eastern Standard.
as I'm recording this, and I have way too much energy drink in me for four o'clock in the afternoon.
Usually, this is the time I will take a 20-minute nap.
Yes, big believer in naps. Naps are good.
You can't do more than 15, 20 minutes like a power nap, you know?
If you do more than that, your whole sleep schedule gets messed up.
And the only reason I'm on here today is the intrepid commander likes when we talk about our mistakes.
So last night, we had a mistake.
Not exactly sure what happened, but our white rabbit is missing.
The door was completely open.
I have these big one-by-ones that I put into the frame and we just twist them over.
And that keeps the door from being pulled open.
Well, for a while, Maria's been saying that they run around,
they'll run around and vibrate the doors open.
And I didn't believe it.
I really don't know what happened.
There, she's just missing.
She's the best mom.
She's the first cage in the, in the lineup of hutches.
There's no forced entry.
As a matter of fact, when I discovered it,
I thought Maria went out a different door and was actually breeding her
because she had bred her like the night before.
So we're still hoping that we'll find her.
There's no blood, no sign of, you know, break in, no rabbit parts, and nothing.
So it's kind of a mystery, like the door opened and she just hopped out.
Now, the doors have been open a few times in the past.
Maria forgets them or whatever.
But the rabbits never really jump out.
They never have jumped out.
Also, I found the electric wire was kind of moved.
The electric fence wire was kind of like
it wasn't in its normal spot.
But we had a neighbor come over and get some rabbit poop
for our garden.
and that's exactly where she dug the rabbit poop out.
So she might have moved the wire
and caused it to be less effective.
I don't know.
It's a mystery.
But I'm changing the latch today.
It's going to be hooked with a carabiner.
So unless you have opposing thumbs,
you're not going to be able to open it up.
Just saying
Raccoons are very
They really
If you give them enough time
They will figure things out
So
There is a possibility
That he got on top of the cage
Which he wouldn't have been shocked
Because you got to
For the electric fence to work
You have to make contact with the ground
So if he's on top of the cage
He could have opened
the cage
okay
and then tried to climb in
and get the rabbit and the rabbit run off
you know
she's fast
I really don't know if a raccoon
could get her in her sprint
I don't know
I'm just saying that that's a possibility
I really don't know
but we're down one rabbit
we're hoping that she shows back up
they usually will stay close
to wherever they're used to be at home,
and then we'll just, you know, fish in net.
There's my, there is my tip of the day.
If you're going to do rabbits, chickens, quail, what have you.
You need to have a fishing net, a net that you scoop fish out
because you can't jump on them fast enough.
I mean, unless you're the Flash.
Hey, and I really like the Intrepid Commander's review of Supergirl,
because you know what?
I was kind of like him.
I'm not going to go see it.
I'll wait until it comes out on streaming,
but his review was very good.
And I had no idea he was into DC Comics that much.
I mean, I knew he liked Batman.
I mean, you know, who don't know he likes Batman?
Batman. But I guess he's a DC guy. I was a DC guy too growing up. I didn't get into X-Men.
They were too far out there. About the only thing I liked in Marvel was Spider-Man.
And through Spider-Man, I got to know the Fantastic Four and, you know, other characters.
And I'm talking about the original. I remember.
The 1964 issue of Spider-Man, okay?
So, and the first appearance of the Fantastic Four and all that.
So, that's where we're at here on the Jones homestead.
And the reason I haven't posted anything to prepping up with the Joneses is the committee of family that I belong to.
Did not like my introduction video.
Okay, my office sometimes is the catch-all for things that I don't know where else to put,
and they'll stay there until I do something with them.
So the video had lots of things in the background,
and although I blurred the background, you could still see the clutter.
So my video committee said, wait for the good camera, do a better job and remove all that stuff.
So I spent the yesterday cleaning up the office, getting it ready, and the new camera came today.
Now, I don't know if I'll be able to redo the video.
So Maria once I had a t-shirt on, and what I didn't realize was it was my defense nuclear weapons school t-shirt, which I think is kind of cool, but I didn't even think about the way I was dressed.
And she says, you should put something on with a collar and maybe a suit coat.
And I'm like, what?
You know, this is going to be a preparish homesteader channel thing.
She requires a little more professionalism and a little less enthusiasm, I guess.
I don't know.
So I got the rabbit food here.
We still have tons of rabbits.
It looks like we're not going to butcher until after the fourth.
and by golly, I don't know what's going to go on for the fourth,
but we shall see.
I hope you're getting ready to celebrate 250 years.
Oh my gosh, and that new movie Young Washington's coming out.
I want to see that.
Dang.
It's going to be a busy summer.
Prepper camp is right around the corner.
This is your last chance to get 25 bucks off a ticket
tonight the prices go up so take care prep on
