We are the proper broadcasting network.
Hello, everyone out there in Internet Radio Land.
This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy.
Oh, my gosh.
Merry Christmas Eve.
Yes, it is the night before Christmas.
And all through the house.
Not a creature of a stern, not even a mouse.
Reminds me of the Christmas rap.
Okay, we did this thing back in the 80s.
I was in Illinois.
The Chicago Bears did their rap thing and we came up.
Towards the night before Christmas
and all through the crib
not a creature was stirring
we just finished some rib
doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
all the stockings were hung by the chimney with care
in hopes that that white dude soon would be there
doo ba doo ba doo ba doo ba doo in hopes that that white dude soon would be there. Do-pa-do-pa-do-pa, do-pa-do-pa-do.
Anyway, we did the whole Christmas thing as a wrap,
and it was hilarious.
But that is not why I'm on here tonight. I am wishing you and all of yours a very Merry Christmas.
I might not get another chance, so I thought I'd do it now.
I was just texting Chin in the back channel, and he said,
Dude, you cracked me up.
And I said, Well, you know what?
I need to crack everybody up. They need to have a little Christmas cheer. Yeah.
Gosh.
I had another friend. So I text
pictures out today of a smoker I'm building.
It's cedar-lined
plywood put together.
It's pretty impressive
if I do say so myself. But we
got all this pork the other week and Maria wants a better smoker
and it's four feet tall, two feet wide, two feet deep.
So you can see it's all the dimensions of a sheet of plywood.
And then I took this cedar paneling and lined it.
And I have an outdoor wood stove.
It's small, but it will smoke that thing up very good.
Very good.
Anyway, I was putting this together.
I was texting people.
Merry Christmas.
You know, Maria says Merry Christmas.
Now get to work.
Yeah.
She thinks sick days is another day to work more at home.
That's what she thinks.
So you can't be sick around our house.
Yeah.
Anyway, PBN family, I want to wish you a merry, merry Christmas.
And I know I'm going to be on here again before New Year's
because we don't go back until the 8th of January.
Everything's done, turned in.
My last day was on Friday
and I'm probably going to be at this for a couple more years
because we're deciding to remodel our kitchen. Yeah.
The last remodel we did, Marie and I
did it. We did it ourselves and
it was good, but
it's not as good as it could be.
I'm getting all the messages. If you hear buzzing, that's because I'm getting all the messages. I just want to kind of boil it down to the basics,
down to the basics, okay?
Because at this time, when we give gifts and we decorate and we do all the stuff
that we do for tradition,
I want you to know that
if I have nothing more than my family,
that's enough.
That if I had to start all over again
and I had nothing but Maria and the kids,
that would be enough.
I'm thankful to live in a country
that is the most free on the planet.
I'm grateful that God put me in this time
so that I can, I don't know,
do what an NBC guy does, I guess.
I had no idea that my life would end up here,
right here where it is.
Because you know what?
God's plan is infinite.
And if you try and decipher the infinite,
you'll never come up with it.
I told the kids in class
it's like trying to read a book
and you open up to a random page
and read one word
and get the idea of the whole book.
It's impossible.
And if you really don't lead a good life
you get a word like it or I.
A very small word, is.
My gosh.
I'm thankful that Jesus came into this world
and changed everything
on this planet.
We measure all time
by the birth of Christ
in the entire world.
Yeah, there's this Chinese New Year's
and there's the Muslim calendar.
But if you want to do business on this planet,
you do it by the calendar
that is set by the birth of Christ.
This one soul.
Has affected.
More people.
Than any king.
Potentate.
Parliament.
Kingdom.
Any empire that ever reigned.
And this one soul never traveled more than 200 miles from his home,
never wrote a book,
never was educated.
Never was educated.
But his single life affects everybody's life on this planet.
And his one message
was love.
So in this time of a Christmas season,
I hope that you remember
why we're celebrating,
not what we're celebrating for,
yeah, I'm chuckling,
because I wrote a little card out,
to Maria,
and I gave her my Christmas present, in the card, because I wrote a little card out to Maria.
And I gave her my Christmas present in the card.
Uh-oh, that's someone texting me.
It's probably Chin.
Don't worry, PBN family.
We watch the news, so you won't have to.
Anyway, I wrote in this card for Maria.
I said, and I gave her a gift card. Okay, and I said, spend this
however you want. I won't even tell you the amount.
Because, you know, a lot of times you judge what other people
spend money on.
And I do that all the time.
So I said, spend this on whatever you want.
And I want you to know that I would give you a kidney if you needed it.
Because you had my heart a long time ago. Anyway, that's why I was chuckling. PBN family,
take your loved ones in your arms. Hold on tight. Thank God for all that you have.
thank God for all that you have.
And I'll talk to you soon.
Prep on.
