To oppose tyranny and fight for the rights our Creator bestowed us in the United States Constitution.
We are the Prepper Broadcasting Network.
Hello everyone out there on Internet Radio Land.
This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy,
coming to you on a Saturday night.
Saturday.
Saturday.
S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y.
Saturday.
It's...
There, I'm dating myself.
Actually, I go back further than that.
I just remember that song.
Oh, my gosh.
PBN family, are you prepping on?
Gosh, I got to tell you, here at the Jones Home said,
we are prepping our butts off.
The problem is, Maria joined up to some prepper Facebook group.
And of course, they're freaking out.
They are freaking out.
And we're pretty much, I mean, so the kitchen's getting remodeled, professionally done.
The last time, we did it ourselves.
And we bought inexpensive material for mica countertops, you know.
So now we did it right, and people are doing it for us.
So we're living in the basement.
We're living in the basement and liking it.
We are really, really liking it.
Maria likes it.
Alex thinks she cooks better in the basement than she does on the stove.
It's kind of crazy.
But now we know we can actually live in the basement and function yeah it's it's going good
she does you know dishes by the washing machine in our in our you know sink there
you know what do you have a deep deep, what do you call that sink?
You know.
And we have a bathroom down here. And the only thing we go upstairs to do now is sleep.
So pretty much we're watching TV down here.
We're living in the office.
There's enough space here. And we're close. We're living in the office. There's enough space here.
And we're close.
We're close.
So, it's just an interesting dynamic.
But one week ago tonight,
we were deep into the Gotham Get Out exercise.
And ladies and gentlemen,
let me tell you that was something.
Probably,
oh definitely,
definitely the best exercise
conducted so far
by the Patriot Power Hour guys.
So it was an 8 kilometer trek
through urban,
oh I would say suburban, not so much urban,
but suburban terrain to try and be gray man or not seen at all
and end up in a park where they spent the night
before coming to here to do phase 3, which
phase 3 was cancelled.
Anyway, you just have to go back and listen
to all this. If you listened to nothing else on PBN
this past week, listen to all of those Gotham get-outs in order
because Marie and I packed the boxes.
She's far more generous.
These are caches that were stashed.
You know, like if you were going to pack your own cash,
what would you put in it? Okay, and they each
had three different ways to make fire.
Okay, at least three, minimum, minimum of three.
They had a shelter. Maria started getting really happy
and she put food, actual food in there for them.
Anyway, these would have been caches that you'd stash ahead of time.
And they were also authorized to forage or scavenge.
So it was interesting.
It was fascinating.
It was fascinating.
The learning curve, I think, for all the participants went way, way up.
Way up.
And I can't wait for the next exercise.
James is already working on it.
We have preliminaries, and that's all I'll say about that. But PBN family,
the other day when the huge cell phone outage was,
I was part of that.
All the phones in the house did not work,
but the internet was working in the house.
So that's how I knew it was something else.
The day that you wake up
and the phones aren't working, and the internet is
not working, and you do not have power,
okay, and working and you do not have power. Okay?
And that's the day when you realize yesterday was your last day to prep.
Okay?
So whether it was a solar flare or hacking or something like that who knows at&t said it was an equipment malfunction i i find that hard to believe i mean it can happen it can happen so
i'll tell you one thing we did do here at the Jones Homestead.
So we went and got a whole bunch of cracked corn and feed
from the organic non-GMO feed store that we get.
And we loaded up the trailer.
So we're pretty set.
Maria won't give me a time frame because we're going to free range the chickens, but it should last quite a while.
Many months. Maybe until
winter, huh? Depends.
You want me to put the fence out? I will put the fence out.
Gosh. Anyway, as you can tell
here at the Jones Homestead we're continuing to prep on
okay so I had to pause this
Marie was talking my other ear nettle is out
right now we had some snow today
enough that it was accumulation on the grass
but it's time to get your seeds planted
to be able to transport them in May.
We don't do it here until the first week of May
because we have had frosts in April
that destroyed everything.
So we're going to start them in the house.
What are you planting, Mom?
Everything.
Everything.
Okay, we're going.
You can plant spinach, salad.
You can start planting right now.
And I'm going to cut that brush, and we're going to transplant some of the raspberries.
We can plant the garlic and yoli ones.
They can plant them right now.
Right.
You're supposed to plant them in November, October.
Right.
But I'm going to cut that brush between the houses,
and then we're going to plant raspberry sprouts over there, right?
No, we're going to plant different kind of berries.
What kind of berries?
We have enough.
Different kind of berries.
Well, they're coming.
We have blueberries,
strawberries, raspberries,
koji berries, right?
Yeah.
What else?
How many berries
we got up here?
Berries do good
on the mountain.
Well, whatever is coming, it's very healthy.
Don't ask me now, I'm sick. Elderberries. Yeah.
We've been fighting this. It's like a
cold, but it might be a flu, I'm not sure.
And it's been going around. Maria, thank God, was the
last to get it. Because going around. Maria, thank God, was the last to get it
because if she was first, this house would fall down.
Anyway, PBN family, all I can say is prep on!
