A person who advocates and practices preparedness.
One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine.
That is a prepper.
Okay, I forgot to turn the mic on.
This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy, and I am here with Ben the Breaker of Bankers.
How are you doing, Ben?
Doing well.
Getting ready for the show tonight.
249th episode, so next week's 250.
Oh my gosh, 250.
What are you going to do special?
I don't know.
I might have to do an in-person you, myself, and future Dan.
Just throw that out there. I don't know. We haven't talked about this
before, but we've got other
things we've got to talk about, too, like the exercise.
The exercise.
I'm not saying it has to be next week for 250,
but that's kind of like a soft plan I had
in my head.
Tell the audience why you're here
tonight. Ah, a few reasons.
Well, I'm... First, I just wanted to come see you.
Say hi.
Second, I've been purchasing some eggs from the homestead and some other, well, not just food, some other prepper supplies as well.
So building on that network and that local economy.
And getting ready to get a part of a hog as well.
So I got the cut sheet here.
And getting ready to get a part of a hog as well.
So I got the cut sheet here.
And I don't buy any meat at all from the store.
Certainly never did from like a Walmart or a chain store.
But not even from a regular old grocery store anymore. I try to get as much as I can through you.
And I also get my milk through local.
Not through you, so to speak.
But anyway, that as well as last week.
I got a mirror safety mask a couple weeks ago.
And actually for Black Friday, I went through and bought a couple filters for that.
So I got a couple spare filters.
Anyway, long story short, I guess you got some Christmas presents for me here too.
Well, Alex, he gets a little crazy.
Alex goes into the farmer's store and he didn't want to leave without buying something.
That's too nice.
Thank you.
Sure.
So I've been, yeah, it's always good at that time of the year.
You were saying you might be eating a little bit more at school.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm putting some weight on.
It's okay.
That's what New Year's resolutions are made of.
Well, this ain't the heaviest I've ever been, but this is the oldest I've ever been.
I can only imagine how much harder it gets.
I'm still relatively young, but I feel
like the beer gut really gets big
if you don't take care of it.
So I will pass on the beer tonight.
I'll take the candy pretzels.
No problem.
Let's see. What else
is going on tonight? In terms of the show,
I've not done much prep. I'm not going to
lie. Well, that's okay.
Because the news kind of preps you.
Well, that and I kind of just pay attention
to what's going on throughout the week.
About an hour before, so I can't stay long.
I've got to go back and kind of get ready.
But, you know, there's just so much
from the economy to politics
to geopolitics.
I could talk about any of these for an hour.
And I've got about 50 topics every week.
So last week I thought it was a great show.
Yes.
I don't know if we could top that.
We were.
We were.
Yeah, I could tell.
I could tell.
We've done most of our shows remote, but maybe 10% to 20% are in person.
And you definitely get that better vibe.
And you don't interrupt each other as much, even though we're really good.
Virtual, there's nothing like real life.
Yeah. I could tell the energy level was way up on that show last week. Don't interrupt each other as much, even though we're really good. Virtual is nothing like real life, you know?
Yeah.
I could tell the energy level was way up on that show last week. And I got to tell the PBN audience, there are two shows on all of PBN.
Okay, so the first show is Reliance on Sunday.
I miss him.
Stephen Menken.
Do you miss Sunday?
No.
I didn't think so.
Yeah, well, Thanksgiving.
Exactly.
Yeah, he was busy.
He's been on fire the last few weeks before that, though.
Exactly.
He's been busy.
He continues to be busy each day.
Yeah.
So that's the one show that if it's not on, I actually miss it.
Okay.
And the one show that I will always listen to and never miss is Patriot Power Hour.
Because you and Dan, you know, you're the closest thing to a news show that we have on pbn and i like to hear your take on things because you often give me something that i didn't
think about before i'll think about a subject in a certain way and it's like dan opens up this
well what about this and i'm like oh yeah what about? Yeah. There's so many opportunities for that. That's why I like having this show.
Yeah.
Well, and you guys are great together.
Sometimes I convince myself of the other side,
or I kind of look at it differently than when I started the show,
because when you have to talk through it,
it's more than thinking through it.
That's that next level.
So in the future, Dan and I are aligned in a lot of ways,
but also different generations,
different upbringing to some degree, and I are aligned in a lot of ways, but also different generations, different upbringing to some degree.
And I don't know.
We pretty much agree on a lot of the basics, but we have different views on certain things.
And so I think that makes it interesting.
Well, now, when you talk about different generations, I kind of put you and Dan pretty close.
I mean, closer than me.
True. Well, honestly, he's like in between me and you.
Yeah.
So it's stair-stepping.
There you go.
You get three different takes.
Wow.
Definitely.
And then, of course, for both of you, your military backgrounds are huge in how you look at the world.
And it's super important.
I think I've always looked at it like economics is you know it's super important
it's the money part but in the end it comes down to the militaries well when if all push comes to
shove yeah and we never want to get there and that kind of goes back to what we say how mad max do
you want to get about it that's something we've been saying and you can talk about like emp total
disaster or just a prolonged depression and everything in
between and how mad max do you want to get and that obviously parlays right into prepping yeah
you know you want to be prepped for every possible thing but that's usually impossible to do
especially right away yeah so anyway uh so you are part of my MAG, Mutual Aid Agreement.
Actually, you're more than that.
You're more than that.
Okay.
You're more than that. True, I better be quiet.
No secret stuff here.
Well, when I think about a MAG, I think about the guy we have, Kenny.
Yeah.
That's on the western side of Winchester.
The radio expert.
The radio expert.
He is more of a mag.
You're pretty much part of the family.
In the family.
You're in the group.
You're in the group.
I'm on the right side of the lines.
Yeah.
So when we're...
Uh-oh.
Oh, my gosh.
There's something you don't see every day.
That's the fire truck coming down from Mount Weather.
Uh-oh.
It was a car wreck.
Probably.
So when you think about securing your protein.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
This is, I mean, this is securing your protein,
This is securing your protein, but it's in a way that you're part of the family.
That's why we include you.
That's why we're going to go get the stuff and all that kind of stuff.
It was great to come.
I remember I came for New Year's last year.
That was a great time.
We've done the exercises and stuff, so it's great.
Oh, my gosh. We've got to talk about that exercise.
You guys are insane.
Insane.
I don't know why I'm doing it, but I just do it without thinking about it
until I'm actually in the middle of it, and then it's too late.
Well, you know what?
Larry wants to open the range and have you do some cold weather firing.
Oh, man.
Okay.
Because January, it's going to be cold weather that'll be
working on my that'll be tough but i'm ready to do it you ever shooting gloves yeah but those
may not be allowed unless you scavenge them from the open world i mean it's a different thing i'm
you know i'm not an expert shooter at all so just being able to operate the firearm with
frostbite will be a
problem yeah so i'm just thinking about safety first but no we have a lot of details to pound
out but long-time listeners of patriot power hour and pbn might have heard we did a couple exercises
in the summer each time that involve some hiking some navigation some biking some just all types of things equipment testing
equipment yeah uh getting lost in the woods and so long story short we're like well let's try to
do this more of an urban environment and let's do it in the winter so we got a lot more details to
work out after that but it's going to be a winter and it's going to be more of a urban suburban
environment i think at least for part of it yeah now if you want to search the archives it's called dark trail march was the most
recent one yeah yeah the the warden is summoning me so i have to go don't worry i'll keep it flowing
uh dark trail march what was the original one ah oz orer Highland. Oser Highland.
And then Dark Trail.
And then Dark Trail March.
So,
again,
my co-host and I,
we,
we,
you know,
want to get out there
in the real world sometimes.
Get out,
not just behind the mic,
not just on the internet,
you know,
get out there
and try to test our metal
and test our preps
and I've just,
I've learned about a lot
what I can do but more about what I can do,
but more importantly, what I can't do,
and then I try to fix that down the line.
It's all about capabilities and limitations.
What can you do and what can't you do?
I think you learn more from what you can't do
when you think you can do it and you can't.
That's the one that really gets you.
If you don't think you can do it and you the one that really gets you yeah yeah if you don't
think you can do it and you can't do it i mean that stinks you got to get better but if you think
you can do it especially if you think you got it easy and then it falls apart then that's the
embarrassing part and dangerous actually in a real situation so you gotta kind of work that out
in a test environment's better yes go go back through the archives look for azra highland and dark trail march yeah those
are the two different exercises we conducted i i i like the first one because it was totally candid
yeah totally first time we ever met you in person that's true it's We're like, is that him? I don't know. They all thought I would be taller.
No, well, baby, but I swear.
I was like, I don't know.
This guy's probably just wondering what we're doing on the side of the road.
It was like one in the morning or something, and he had a hat on.
I'm like, I don't think he's a police officer.
He was late.
But, of course, you were in your past life, so you kind of had that look about you.
Oh, man, this guy looks serious.
I don't know
but anyway okay pbn family stay tuned tonight patriot power hour 149 249 oh i'm sorry 249
it's unbelievable we're gonna have a great show uh we tune in tune in and we'll give out us an
email where you know another thing i'm gonna hold myself And we'll give out an email. Another thing I'm going to hold myself to, we're going to give the email out.
Maybe we can send some questions or some thoughts from people, and we'll go through that in Episode 250.
There you go.
So be on the lookout for that.
Dethronethebanksters at protonmail.com.
Dethronethebankstersprotonmail.com.
And we'll have that in the description of the Patriot Power Hour tonight as well.
Yeah.
JohnMail.com, and we'll have that in the description of the Patriot Power Hour tonight as well.
Yeah.
And if this thing goes and you guys want to do it here, you've got to let me know.
Okay.
The wardens, you know.
If not, future Dan and I are definitely doing it in person so that we can take potential callers.
Right. So you might be able to call.
When we do it remote, we can't take callers, so we often don't.
But we're going to have, if at all possible, either in person with you or we'll have you call in. we often don't but we're gonna have if at all possible
either in person with you or we'll have you call in okay that's that's the plan b in person or call
okay okay pbn family take care and prep on Thank you.
