A person who advocates and practices preparedness.
One ready for any event that would disrupt their daily routine.
That is a prepper.
Hello everyone out there on Internet Radio Land.
This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy.
How you doing today?
Today, I should say tonight, because it's Saturday night is Saturday night.
Saturday night.
That song.
S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y
Saturday.
There's a flashback for you.
Okay.
Okay.
So I just wanted to say
this week in PBN shows
has not disappointed. Phoenix Survival was on today. I'm telling you,
if you do not have a Ferg, okay, and I'm serious when I say this, Jay Ferg, you need to, you need to like patent that thing because, um, wow, what a great
invention.
I mean, it, it draws from both ends.
You can put it over your head.
You could wear it as a scarf.
It's made of the biggest, fluffiest, softest wool I think I've ever felt.
Yeah, I'm huge.
Wool, natural fibers, I'm huge, huge in that.
I will wear cotton where it touches my skin,
and then I'll wear wool over top of that.
You know, her show is about the cold weather,
and truly, truly cold is relative, okay? Her show is about the cold weather.
And truly, truly cold is relative.
Because what some people are experiencing in the PBN audience,
other people laugh at as being cold, but that's just the way it is.
And then Carl B. was on today.
He's fantastic.
So, this week in shows have been off the chart. If James could put a little star
by this week in shows, don't know what
happened to Toolman Tim. Maybe it just didn't
upload. Maybe it's too cold. The vortex got him.
Oh my gosh.
You know, when you consider all the hosts
that we have at PBN, this is
unbelievable. I mean, unbelievable.
The length and breadth of the experience of the PBN hosts.
You have everything. You have everything you could possibly want.
And if you're not a member, I just have to say, what is wrong with you?
You need to join that membership.
So I was reached out to by my cousin.
He's about the same age as I am, maybe a few years younger.
maybe a few years younger.
And he drives a truck,
and it's a specific route,
different days, different route,
but it's a truck.
And he said some days he's 100 miles away from home.
And he asked me about a get-home bag.
And here's the thing.
He's known I'm a prepper for a long, long time.
We talked too many times about different things that we're doing here.
And he understands.
I mean, he's from the hills in Pennsylvania.
He understands. I mean, he's from the hills in Pennsylvania. He understands.
There's no, you know, explanation necessary.
If you get my meaning.
And he says, you know, I'm sometimes a hundred miles away. saw the documentary on the grid
that Dennis Quaid
narrated.
Unfortunately, I know
the guy that made
the documentary. I don't
know the name of the documentary. Isn't that
something? Man, that's when you're
in the
ether of the prepper net.
Right?
But it's really, really good.
It talks to several experts about EMP
and how it can come from the sun,
not necessarily a nuclear attack.
Not necessarily a nuclear attack.
But I often ponder the question,
if we were thrown into a civil war or something close to it, where there's civil unrest in hundreds of cities all across the United States,
you know, chaos happening.
UPS drivers not going into New York City. Oh wait, that's already happened.
But something like that. And then one of our adversaries launches an EMP attack.
Would our military overseas try to retaliate or come home to protect the homeland?
That is a question right there.
Anyway, he asked me about a get-home bag.
And I carry the equivalent of a get-home bag. And I carry the equivalent of a get-home bag every day in my car.
I have compartments in the new car that allows me to put things in there
and a bag that I can put everything in the bag and get home.
But man, 100 miles.
Think about that PBN family.
100 miles.
And he's almost my age.
So I told him, I said, look, the best you can count on is about 20 miles a day.
And your first day may be 30, but it's going to go down from there.
Because, wow, wow.
And you may start out following the roads, but you may find yourself having to not follow the roads.
If you understand what I'm saying.
I can't even imagine 100 miles.
I mean,
Fortitude Ranch from my location
is 40 miles.
And that, that right there I'm saying is going to be unbelievable hike for me and the family.
If we have to execute a plan B and man, it's cold.
Cold as it is right now.
Maria is saying that she's just going to die.
right now, Maria is saying that she's just going to die.
She says, if it's this cold, I'm just going to stay in the house, make soup.
Whoever shows up, I'm going to feed them, and they'll know that I'm worth keeping around because I can cook.
And it may not be a bad strategy, but it's not one everyone can take, you know, because of the cold. Yeah, it's pretty
darn cold. Now, I am confident in my cold weather skills, but no one else in the household wants to listen to it. Once they even possibly you know
consider it.
So there's a big thing right there.
I'm making bug out bags
for no apparent reason.
I guess.
Things will change I'm sure.
A in the
solar generator,
zero point energy,
the Titan is still 895.
So if you are not getting your Titan right now,
and you really want the super duty,
as Maria would call it, super duty solar generator,
you're not going to get a better price.
It's half price right now. So if you
get that, wait until there's a sale or a promotion
for the batteries and all that kind of stuff, you'll be dollars ahead.
And like I said, you get a percent
and a half off if you use the checking e-check.
So it's a heck of a deal. And free shipping. So there you go.
Because this monster is heavy. It is heavy.
Without the batteries, it's got to weigh
a good 30, 40 pounds.
I mean, I don't think I could curl it with one arm.
It's that heavy.
This is not a Jackery.
Okay.
I have a Jackery.
This is not that.
So that's my plug for the Titan.
And PBN family, you are in the right place.
The only thing I would want you to share.
Uh-oh.
The warden's calling.
Yes, well, I'm being summoned to movie night.
So I'm not exactly sure what we're going to see,
but it's going to be funny and good.
Take care, PBN family, and prep on.
